A favorite headcanon of my wife and I’s is that, Wayne manor has been around for a long time, bitch is old. and many old manor/castles and such have secret passaeways in the walls for escaping or servants to avoid being seen.

So naturally, Wayne manor has to have them. and we headcanon that Jason, to avoid the family and specifically Bruce, will use them to move through the house to get book or Alfred’s cooking ir whatever else. Only Alfred knows about them and knows he does it, and doesn’t say anything. So this fucker could be living it up in the manor’s walls if he wanted, listening, watching. Theres just so much potiential for fuckery with this.

Hello guys! I haven't made a pac in a while because I recently started a new job, but I finally got the chance to do a reading for yall! I think its possible that this pile may be stumbling upon a new friendship as a whole, I see a new relationship is forming on the basis of pure excitement and happiness. This friendship is new, you don't know this person or you haven't connected before, however i'm being shown that they still feel familiar to you. This is because there a deep connection where you feel like you both know one another in depth already, this friendship has so much emotional and sentimental potiential, you will feel at home with this person. On a subconcious level you already know them and will feel a burst of energy with this person in your life. I see that you both bring a sense of stability in each other's life because both or one of you struggles with their identity and knowing how to sort out the intenral choas and confusion. This friendship will bring more clarity to yall and help you deal with inner conflict, yall may help each other with this often. You will help each other sort out what's aligned with each others purpose and values as well as walking away from what's not for you.

Pile two

For this pile I'm actually seeing that there has be a loss/falling out in a friendship OR you feel that you're missing out when it comes to this area of your life. Either way, you feel stuck in this situation and no matter what you do you still feel frustrated with the lack of movement and stagnation happening in this area if life. I'm seeing you guys develop a more nurturing, compassionate relationship with yourself in place of a friendship. I'm seeing that at the nkment, you look at yourself as the glass half full, you don't feel comfortable with whi you are or even know yourself that well, because of this you're being moved in the direction of fulfilling yourself before relying on a friendship to being you that sense of connection. You're being guided to find gratitude for yourself by doing some intenral soul searching. The next phase in this area of life is focused on you trying to find confort in your own company, because I'm seeing that your mind can be very tormenting. Anxiety, insomnia, overthinking issues. Basically what I'm seeing here is that you must learn to enjoy your own company before expecting other people to, as well as you learning to nurture yourself when it comes to anxiety or overthinking

This pile will be leaving a friendship or situation behind as it was toxic or perhaps a betrayal was happening. I'm definetly seeing a cycle in relationship coming to an end, whatever narrative or pattern of behavior that kept repeating is being cut out from your life. This new phase will be very dynamic, you may be balancing several relationships at once and attracting future lovers towards you that start as friends at first. I am seeing a message that you will be balancing out unequal/unfair friendhips in this new phase because you wont be tolerating people who expect you to play several roles at once, or peoole who dont partipate on their end of the friendship. You want a give and take, where the energy is balanced and fair instead if one-sided. You're also glowing and people want to be around you in this nee era as well, especially after detaching from something that was hurtful or toxic , your energy is becoming more magnetic and more repellant towards people who are selfish

So if someone noted this before that's fine but:

Buddy dawn is the only rat grinder/high fives hero with a different colored background that separates him from the group.

Now this could honestly just be colors meaning nothing and if it is I won't be appalled or shocked because sometimes the curtains are blue because it's a nice color. But if the colors are trying to indicate something about the characters I have a few ideas.

The color is just to show him as an outsider to the group. Not very trusted by everyone else and kept seperate from their actual plans while they dance around the truth.

He's far more involved that he actually let's on and isn't nearly as clean cut/devote to helio's teachings. Maybe even potientially one of the main brains in the operation.

He's aware of the plan but incredibly doubtful of it and in fact could be swayed away from the group if the right words come up.

Maybe he's already defected from helio and is angling towards following this new God they're reviving but is keeping it off books. A chosen one in his own right.

I'm also wondering if there's a chance that the colors behind the rat grinders in any way indicate their own level of rage/how easily they can get emotional.

Again, these are just theories and honestly I'm not really expecting much to come from it if anything but I thought it was fun to note.

this is a byler doubt free post, don’t worry. i’m gonna dove into queerbaiting itself to prove why mike will be confirmed queer.

if byler isn’t canon, the ship as a whole wouldn’t be considered queerbait. however, the fact that mike would be confirmed to just see him as a good friend and is straight is considered queerbait.

byler itself is considered ship teasing due to the fact there’s confirmed feelings on one side already. ship teasing can happen with any type of ship, especially when there is a love triangle involved. ship teasing is done to grab an audience of any kind to watch the show. for example, them liking melvin comments is ship teasing as much as noah’s byler comments are.

because of the fact will byers is confirmed gay and in love with mike, the ship itself could not be qbait… that doesn’t mean the show doesn’t get away with no queerbaiting allegations though - mike wheeler by himself would have been what the queerbait was.

he is so heavily implied to be interested in will, giving will the eyes, how he speaks to him, how he treats him vs his girlfriend, how he cherishes him. outside of byler, he is also implied to not have any attraction to girls. he is the only other boy besides the canon gay boy to show distaste for girls when theyre put in a romantic/sexual light, the comments from his father, the imagery, his s4 bedroom, how he looks at el vs will, intereviews.

all this for him to be confirmed in love with a girl and not into boys in the end and that will’s just a really good friend to him, THAT’S queerbait as well as horrible writing.

however, let’s put ourselves in the shoes of producers and showrunners who do queerbait for a second…

“i want money and publicity. i also notice there’s hardly any queer content out there, i see how desperate the gays are. but.. if i dare even giving them what they want, that can lead to backlash and angry fans who drop the show, causing the viewership to go down, which can lead to the show being cancelled. but at the same time, if i give the gay part of the fanbase what they want that fanbase can grow bigger, which means a growing publicity about my show and ultimately more money for a bigger budget for another installment. but, i also don’t want to lose fans by doing this…. i have an idea! i’ll go 50/50. i’ll hint at a potiential queer characters and by the end of the show, once i got everything i wanted and needed, i’ll tell them they were just good friends or leave it up for interpretation, that way nobody drops the show and the homophobes stay happy. perhaps the gays will be mad, but i doubt they would drop the show. they’re too desperate and will take anything because there’s little to nothing for them anyway. i’m sooo smart, and a pussy!”

now, apply this to stranger things. there is no actual benefit they get from queerbaiting if we’ve already got two confirmed gay characters. they’re already taking the backlash they got from making will gay and from introducing robin in s3, yet… they don’t care. as they should.

think about this… why leave only ONE heavily implied gay character amongst canon ones just to debunk it afterwards to pander to homophobes, when you’ve already pissed them off with said canon gays?? there’s no sense in that. like. at ALL.

noah could’ve just said will’s sexuality was up to interpretation and left it as that. in the end, they had confirmed it later because they wanted to save the audience from spoilers. that’s the same thing happening for mike. him being queer and in love with will is a spoiler and plot twist, they’re not gonna reveal it now, even though it’s blantly obvious.. the same way it was obvious will liked mike.

these big hollywood people queerbait because they BENEFIT from it viewership-wise and ultimately fincially. if stranger things already features canon gay characters with a coming confirmed gay relationship between two girls, they get zero benefit with not falling through and not confirming mike queer, only pure backlash, nothing more or less.

Nezha in the Century Egg au;

Almost forgot our perfect lotus boy!

In the Century Stone egg au; Wukong entrusts Nezha with waking him up/taking a peak at the cave every so often, but he doesn't let him in on *why* Wukong is "meditating" for 500 years. Wukong fears Nezha pulling a DBK-level move and he can't risk it .

Nezha agrees, but obviously he's pulling double duty as is with guarding the Map to the Samadhi Fire, so he sometimes forgets what he was meant to do. He sometimes runs into Princess Iron Fan when he visits Flower Fruit Mountain, and depite being former comrades, he feels no hate towards her. Nezha understands that Wukong is one of the few connections that PIF has left in the Mortal Plane, and thinks it's perfectly reasonable for her to be on standby until the monkey wakes up from his deep sleep.

Then one day, as Nezha is *actually* meditating; he's flipping through some requests/prayers to him when he gets a very unusual prayer from FFM;

Ao Yi, hands clasped and crying: "Nezha, Patron God of Children - please ensure my little Mei is found safe and well!"

Nezha: "What the- dragons don't pray to me..."

And they don't. After the incident with Ao Bing, dragons as a whole would rather due than be caught praying to the Lotus Prince. Even to request the safety of their children.

Feeling very sus, Nezha flies down to ask the dragon parents whats up - especially since PIF told him that very few souls are able to even reach the Monkey King's island without permission.

The two dragons are completely distressed, explaining that they were relaxing on a camping trip and that their toddler-aged pup had wandered off into the jungle after what looked to be a supernatural flame.

Nezha manages to brush off the weirdness of his "clients" being dragons enough to zero in on where the little pup had run off too- and she's in Brother Wukong's cave!

Nezha zips towards Water Curtain Cave with the dragon couple at his heels. He bursts through the waterfall only to see the dirty dragon pup digging around in the soil with.... Wukong's Pilgrim brothers?

And whats that statue of a monkey doing here??

PIF: "Oh, Nezha. Glad you're here. Hold him for me please.* PIF: *hands Nezha toddler Red Son* Nezha: "EH!?" The Monkey *statue*: *starts cracking like an egg* Nezha: "?!?!?"

Its a very odd family reunion.

The lotus prince has to be filled in on some details once Wukong wakes up, and he will have things to say about Wukong burying himself for 500 years to have a baby. And he's seconds away from throttling the monkey when he hears that the process is potientially lethal no matter the immortality.

He accidentally sorta joins the Noodle Shop gang's found family? Mostly cus Tang mentioned that the Lotus Prince died as a child, and the rest got super protective of him.

The real confusion for the Lotus Prince comes about when he's called to act as baliff at the trial of Sun Wukong vs the Heavenly and Infernal Court!? What?! How did this happen- "Oh hi Macaque."

Nezha is trusted as a high-ranking officer to keep the Six Eared Macaque detained for the trial. Nezha wonders why Macaque is pretending to be held by the ropes/handcuffs.

Nezha delivers a pretty solid testimony/character witness for Wukong, as I do believe he defended Wukong while in the presence of a Boddisattva in Jttw, and he pretty much considers the monkey a brother figure.

Nezha is one of the gods to glance over at Wukong when the Monkey King started shifting uncomfortably in his seat. His godly powers told him *something* was happening, but being a mental teenager, Nezha couldn't think what.

Then the Monkey King goes into labor in the middle of the Heavenly Court while pleading for the soul of his mate.

Nezha naturally freaks the frick out.

Idk if my addition will matter.

I've been following Hanza since back when they were making my deepest secret, so I've seen the development of the guy upstairs first hand and how hanza writes it. Even back in the concept stages, it was so blatantly clear that it was supposed to be a thriller/cat mouse vibe where Adam (killer) was horrible and not to be rooted for. They've compared him to irl serial killers and how those guys will often use women as shields to hide their true selves from the public and how that's messed up and bad to do.

They've shown Adam as a horrible irredeemable person and honestly there's little to no nuance with how they handle it, but that makes sense because how else can you handle an audience like what they've gotten without beating them over the head with the facts. How many ways can you outright show your main character despising and wanting to yank their best friend out of the jaws of a murderer before the audience realizes its not foreplay.

I think them going from an actual romance to a fully thriller non romantic story meant that the residual audience expected some kind of messy toxic romance, but Rozy to me has always explicitly read as Queer so idk why people aren't getting the hint.

I get their frustration and it seems like they might be shifting into a potiential issekai romance about a grandad and a middle aged woman who got reincarnated as his grandson's fiance (hard to explain but its hilarious if you want to check it out) without any thriller elements from their recent non comic posts. Whatever they do I hope they can find something to be passionate about again.

And yeah, I've seen posts shared in the /r/webtoons sub from other blogs claiming that Hanza was being an awful person for "taking people's money" and "baiting them" into reading a dark romance story when that's very obviously not what it is? Even one excerpt that was literally like-

And I just... since when is any romance plotline that ISN'T abusive and problematic at its core (such as between a serial killer and a victim) considered "super conservative" and "pure"? It's really baffling to me how people have gone so far in the opposite direction of "purity culture" that they've started arguing on behalf of legitimately harmful and toxic relationships. It's extremely concerning especially when you know the majority of people saying this shit are between the ages of 16-21. IDK what the fuck we're doing anymore when it comes to the romance genre (and TGU isn't even a romance ffs).

Aaaand yeah in relation to where the Hanza topic came up, that's really why I'm moving away from WT as an audience and why I don't consider it a "loss" to not use WT anymore. Once upon a time I wished for Time Gate to be a contracted series, for it to have thousands of readers and be my job. But seeing what's going on with Hanza's work just informs me that I'd be dealing with a lot of the same shit - people expecting Uzuki and Mitsuhiro to be the endgame of the romance when they're literally NOT good for each other, which is the POINT. Like sure, unlike the main duo in TGU, they actually are a couple with a 'relationship' but it's not meant to be healthy and the last thing I need are 15 year olds thinking they're "couple goals". If you ship them in fanfic or w/e the fuck that's fine but please don't get mad at me when they don't wind up being the endgame couple, they're both terrible people and make each other worse when they're around each other (・_・;)

Either way yeah, I don't blame Hanza in the slightest for getting so frustrated with it all that they'd rather just be done with it. It sucks for the more loyal and sane part of their audience that the series is gonna be ripped out from under them like that, but at the end of the day if the creator is being harassed and decide they're done as a result of it... why should they have to keep putting up with bullshit just for a comic? I don't even blame Rachel if she was ending LO by choice due to the noise of the fandom, and unlike Rachel, I don't have anything in the slightest against Hanza or their work LOL But I also don't have the full picture on it all so maybe my opinion will change if I find out more about it. I just don't think any of this shit is worth directly harassing a human being over.

What if Eveline met SCP-999

So I have been wandering lately why nobody ever seems to care much about Eveline as a character. I mean despite the fact that she appeared only briefly in the series, she still is by far one of most complex and well developed characters in the entire Resident Evil series. She just has so much potiential in terms of character exploration, that nobody (not even the fanfiction community) ever dared to explore. There are just so many "what if" scenarios, potential redemption arcs and even crossovers that could push this character into some very interesting directions.

So I thought screw it, if no body else has ever done it, then I will be the one who does it !

So let's start with a ''what if'' crossover cenario. What would happen if SCP-999 met Eveline? At first I need to spicify that question. So just to clarefy we know for a fact that Eveline still exists in the mold world in her child form and we also know that the mold is capable of creating a perfect replica of the infected's body that they can live in even after they died. So let's imagine that Eveline, after spending years in the mold world, managed to master this ability and used the mold to recreate her former child body. So now she has a physical form again and is spared from rappid aging. So that is the form of Eveline that SCP-999 will encounter. And for SCP-999 let's just assume that during a containmant breach SCP-999 escaped and quincidently stumpled upon Eveline a few weeks after she escaped from the mold world.

So what do you think would happen? How could their interaction play out? Would they form a bond? Could SCP-999 change Eveline for the better? How would SCP-999's anomylus abilities affect Eveline? If they form a bond what would their relationship be like and how would they live together (considering that they are both on the run and need to hide from the Umbrella Cooporation and the SCP-foundation) ? Remember SCP-999 would comfort Eveline but still protect others from her every time she tries to attack anyone. So it would help Eveline but at the same time it would still prevent her from hurting others. But how would Eveline react to that? And how would that affect her character growth? How would Eveline even react to SCP-999's unconditional love during their first interaction (especialy considering everything she is been through so far)?

So the plan is to collect Ideas and discuss them. If an idea gets complex and interesting enough I might turn it into a web comic.

I may add more scenarios like this in the future.

Life has been sort of a whirlwind since October. In all truth, since last October (of 2021) when I found myself single but still very much in love. Loosing her (the intimacy, not our friendship which we still very much have, thank fully) was a smack back to reality and the things I have been putting off changing in both my life and my living environment.

My teen is getting taller andd smarter every day as she heads into the end of her junior year. At once I worry about her and don't. She is independent and kind but still a teen with a teen brain. I trust her and try to balance that with not trusting her with too much. "No" is still a complete sentence in this house unless she is in negotiation mode then I have to expend the energy to explain things in a productive manner. AND I am not always right in my "no" so I have to be willing to occasionally back down without her thinking that she can always get her way by pushing back.

I have three plus jobs to keep the house and land I love and care for the animals I committed to from when I was married. A few have passed of age and sickness and it gives me some feelings of guilt to be somewhat relieved because less animals means less work and expense for me. I try and remember it also means more recources to care for my current pets. I have more time and money to improve the house and the land.

At 54 i am looking towards the long term. Somethings I can easily deal with now might be more difficult in the future. I see my older relatives, my older lesbians mentors, my friends who are MY age begin to stuggle with health, energy and Just STUFF that we all accumulate. I need to get rid of some stuff. I know my kids won't want 90 percent of what I own. Some of my young lesbian friends are now proud owners of early Fest T shirts and Star Wars lunch boxes. This clearing out will continue.

My writing has taken a back seat to manual labor, paying off and keeping up with debt and bills and planning ahead. I dislike this part. I miss keeping up with Tumblr asks and penning meaningful articles for small publications or for fun. I love writing cards and letters on vintage stationary and old cards but those too are being neglected, their boxes gathering dust and cat hair on my desk.

My house payment went up, my water heater was frozen to death in the Christmas blizzard, propane is always needing paid off , my subpump system is in dire need of maintainance before spring rains and now my cat has a runny eye. It is true what they say: When it rains in pours and if it isn't one thing it is another. Money doesn't grow on trees. And nothing breaks during the work week.

I love my land and I love my family and my life and pets. I am so lucky to have supportive friends in my life. My interactions on the internet and social media are generally kind and positive. Being a lesbian affords me a wonderful and easy connection with other women that brings me great joy. It is that connection that insprires me to share my stories and thoughts and to strenghten relationships with other generations and my own. It is my passion to instill hope for a happy future in lesbians and bi women who want build a life with and love other other women.

There are many things I want to do in 2023. Some I will accomplish, others I will not. Some are priorities and some are not. It is deciding which ones will yield the most benefit for my future health and security in the long run that I need to figure out. I also want to continue to focus on what I can do to bring about the most good help other lesbians realize their full potiential and feel comfortable and understand they are ok and wonderful just as they are because that is what feeds my happiness. I want to continue to help lesbians find cross generational community.

And probably cut back on the frosted cookies, at least until next November.

I remember you guys answering an ask that mentioned Ortho and Vil being shipped together and how it has potiential to be interesting, and I've been thinking about that ship for a while now, and I love the idea of Ortho being so enamoured by Vil that he starts becoming a obsessive over him ever since Fairy Gala IF and the conclusion of the Ingihyde chapter happened and I got something to think about.

During film club activities, Vil gives Ortho personal acting lessons instead of having him manage stage equipment all the time since Vil really sees potiential in Ortho as an actor and as Ortho becomes more obsessed with he starts trying to use these private lessons as a way to get more personal time with him until he finally manages to get Vil to agree to do more "intimate" practice scenes.

I think it could work so well with Robot Ortho or Human Ortho, since I agree, they'd both be able to act like they have a sense of empathy.

I really love the fact that you’ve been thinking about Ortho/Vil, we have been thinking about them too hehe. I haven’t watched Fairy Gala yet though, so I base everything on what we’ve learnt in the Ignihyde chapter.

The idea of Vil giving Ortho personal acting lessons is so fun. Especially considering how much Vil seems to like Ortho. He likes how hardworking, proactive and eager to learn he is, also the fact that Vil can give him his critique with absolutely no filter, and Ortho will always do his best to apply it flawlessly. Every time Vil says that the other actors of their club should be more like Ortho (who isn’t even a human, but is getting better and better at acting), Ortho blushes very happily. It motivates him to work even harder!

I don’t know if by “intimate” you meant, you know, a certain type of scenes, but I can see Ortho manipulating Vil into practicing those as well. Vil would be hesitant at first, but he is weak when it comes to young passionate artists who are hungry to perform every role imaginable, so Ortho would have no problem convincing him after a certain point.

It is interesting, because at some point it would feel like Ortho applied everything he learnt from Vil to “outplay” an actual actor with his own performance of an innocent boy.

Some nights were easier than others. And tonight, was hard. It was Valentine's day, and you had spent the whole day watching other couples spend time with their significant others. Meanwhile, yours was halfway across the world doing who knows what. Not dying, you hoped. And now here you were, curled up on your couch with a glass of wine and a heated blanket, looking for something to watch on netflix when your phone started ringing. 

As if on instinct you grabbed your phone. Your body had become attuned to your phone, snatching it up the moment it made a noise in hopes it was Kento. You supposed that was a side effect of having a relationship that was borderline long distance. You smiled seeing Kentos name across your screen, wasting no time in answering. You were always excited to facetime him.

“Kennie!” you smiled, quickly checking your hair to make sure it wasn't too crazy. A grin broke out across his face the moment he heard your voice. He looked so tired, yet so relieved to hear your voice. 

“Hey Beautiful,” Nanami muttered to you, sleep thick in his voice, “Happy Valentine's day my love.”

“Happy Valentine's day!” you respond, smiling like a fool at your phone screen. 

“What did you do today, Love?” Nanami asked, wanting any reason for you to talk. Your voice was more than comforting to him, it was his safe haven away from home. He may not have been able to hold you, but at least he could listen to you.

“Not much to be honest,” You sighed, “I went to starbucks, and did some grocery shopping. I’m about to watch a movie!” you said, trying to make your day seem at least a little more exciting.

“Oh, what movie?” Nanami asked, grabbing his laptop. “I could watch with you if you’d like?” He offered.

“Like a date!” you giggled softly, “I’d love that. I was thinking about watching Casablanca.” You informed him.

“On Hulu, yea?” He asked.

“Bingo.” You confirmed, waiting for him to pull it up.

“Ok, I found it.”

“Ok, awesome! We hit play on the count of three.” You told him. “One, two, three!”

If you we’re honest, neither one of you really gave a fuck about Casablanca. He’d seen the movie a thousand times, and you were much more interested in talking to your boyfriend than paying attention to your tv. At some point, he had gotten his own cup of wine, and the movie was long forgotten.

“I miss you.” You sighed to your phone. Nanami sighed back.

“I miss you too. But, hey! At least I’ll be home soon.” He said comfortingly. It was true! As long as he didn’t die, he’d be on his way home in two days. “And I fully plan on taking you out on a proper Valentine's day date when I get back.” He said. 

“You don’t have to do that..” you cooed to him, “This is honestly the highlight of my day”

“I know I don’t have too, but I want to.” Nanami said. “You deserved to be spoiled. Especially considering all the shit you put up with when it comes to my job.”

“It’s all worth it to have you.” You promised him. The look on Nanami's face was hard to read. He was praying to whatever gods would listen that you meant it. He knew loving a sorcerer was no walk in the park, and he hated that you had to endure it. But, he was eternally thankful to you for putting up with it. As far as he was concerned, loving you was inevitable. There was no avoiding it or getting around it, his soul was made for yours. He had no idea how he got so lucky that you not only loved him back, but also were willing to deal with his job.

“I love you Y/n.” Nanami sighed, wishing for nothing more than to hold you. “I miss you.”

“I love you too, Kento.” You muttered, wrapping your blanket tighter around yourself to simulate his arms, “And I miss you too.” Nanami smiled followed by a yawn. It was then you realized it was 3 in the morning, and Nanami looked impossibly tired. “Hey, I’m getting pretty sleepy.” You muttered to him. 

“Yea?” he asked through yet another yawn, rubbing his eyes in a way that was almost too cute for his strong face. “I think I am too.” He admitted. “Same time again tomorrow?” He asked, forcing you to smile. 

“Yea, same time tomorrow.” you nodded. He returned your smile.

“Goodnight love.”

“Goodnight Darling.” you said as you reluctantly hung up the phone. You turned back to the TV just in time to catch the tail end of Rick Blaine’s iconic speech. 

“ I've got a job to do too.” The man on the tv said. “Where I'm going, you can't follow. What I've got to do, you can't be any part of. Ilsa, I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that. Now, now. Here's looking at you, kid.”

You turned off the tv, the speech hitting maybe just a little too close to home. “Here’s lookin’ at you.” you muttered with a sigh.

BIG QUESTION:

Why couldnt they have had Andreaphulus as Stolas’s arranged marrige instead of having Stella as the main villain of Helluva Boss? 

He’d be much more of a threat, a cooler design, and in general would be much cooler (get it?) of a villain than just a random nagging woman with a phone that Stolas could kill in an instant. (and his brother if he tried hard enough.)

Stella’s just... generic?

She doesnt do much. She just leaches off of Stolas and yells.

How boring is that? In a world of fantasy cretures and super powers, they just choose a wine aunt to be the main villain of this “demon fantasy show” instead.

I dont care about her screaming at her husband. I dont care about her melodrama. Or any of the melodrama of late season one and season two. 

She’s boring, predictable, and a overall unpleasant and annoying antagonist with no likeable qualities. She’s just a plot tool for Stolitz fans to cry about. She doesnt have anything of value to her, and could have been cut out of the show entirely and it would be 30% better than what we ended up getting.

You’re allowed to have villains be evil and still be enjoyable characters.

Hell! You’re allowed to have a character be rootable and flawed! You dont need for them to be absulotely awful (*cough!* Stolas *cough!* Loona) to be a nuanced character. If Vivziepop wasnt so hyperfocused on demonizing the female characters who dislike the male ones and actually made them well- their characters! Instead of just plot devices to be angry at the male characters 24/7 and instead- being their own person with goals, likes, dislikes, etc rather than for their character to just be “bitch!” and that being about it. “BUT MALE PEOPLE CANT GIVE BIRTH!” And???? This is a fantasy story with demons. It doesnt need to have human-like sexual dymorphism. Hell, you can have Andrephulus be trans-sexual if you want them to have human anatomy. The “arranged marrige for an heir” plot still could have worked (even better!) with a character with an actual ability that matches/competes with Stolas. Instead of a random lady that despite the show acting as if Stolas was helpless and “couldnt” defeat her- he’s shown to have been able to get around her in a few minutes and could have divorced her at any time. Its not like his father needs her anymore (they had a kid already) so she could have been kicked out- right after Via was born!

Stella’s that much of a useless character. She doesnt do anything but sit around and laugh at Stolas all day, or scream on the phone. Its been multiple episodes, thats clearly enough time to show your villain as a actual threat. So why not have had a character like Andreaphulus be the villain instead?

completely agree with your ask. Have been here in the fandom since 2012 and man, we all thought that in 2023 L and H would be free holding hands and kissing in public snd have a cute cottage home with 4 babies and a dog and cat name Dusty and Cliff. Weird how much things change and how expectations are hardly reality. Sometimes I get this optimistic feeling that something is on the verge about to change, but then reality hits again, hard. And we're back to the beginning.

Yeah, i feel you. For me it's the wasted time, could haves and wasted potiential that's the worst part.

From our point of view they had everything and everyone in their favour to be able to come out AND be chart topping sucessful artists. They had supportive families, a supportive fanbase and a society that, at the time, were incresingly lgbtq+ friendly.

They could have had it all.

I'm pretty sure they could have been THE power couple. The new Posh and Becks/Brad and Angelina. They could have paved the way for so many other queer people/couples and showed everyone that, 'hey look, you can be out AND be on top'. It's not either/or.

Alas, here we are.

Bellumbeck is such an interesting final boss, because not only is it your ally, some of the bosses actions/details make it clear that Linebeck is fighting back. Retraining Ciela instead of killing her, using moves he's seen Link do, and more darkly in the manga - willing to destroy himself if it protects Link. Link is forced to fight not just an ancient evil - but one of the closest friends he's ever made besides Tetra, and one of the few adult figures he respects. To fight Linebeck is to potientially lose another mentor as was with The King of Red Lions

Bellumbeck is so… he really stands out from pretty much all of the other final bosses and its so cool- and it’s like you say, Bellumbeck is not just some final form of varying flavors of Evil Thing or a dangerous character whose defeat the world would benefit from, that’s your fucking friend. It doesn't feel heroic like other final bosses, it feels like a desperate fight for the survival of you and your friends.

Linebeck being capable of fighting back or otherwise resisting Bellum is an interesting one; definitely a fun way to give him some sort of agency or role to play, suggesting that he may be fighting against Bellum just as hard as Link is. I think I've seen some people suggest that the slight hesitation or pause before some of Bellumbeck's attacks may be caused by Linebeck trying to stop himself (like the manga shows him doing).

I absolutely ADORE the idea that Bellumbeck uses a spin attack because it's something that Linebeck has seen Link do. The idea that it might be unconscious, or something Bellum just happened to pick up on from Linebeck's memories... UGH it's good no matter how you justify it.

On the other hand, I personally don't see how Linebeck fighting back would've had an effect on Bellum restraining rather than killing Ciela. I understand stuff like a hitch in the attacks or unconsciously influencing what attacks are made, since all of that is stuff that Linebeck has a direct (though unwilling) hand in, but Bellum grabbing Ciela is something that... Bellum individually does. I don't imagine that Linebeck would be able to have any ability to influence what Bellum himself does, especially considering that even if he can affect the part he's directly involved in it's only ever a small effect. Bellum restraining rather than killing Ciela is, I think, a deliberate choice on Bellum's part without any input from Linebeck, and honestly even that way it's still interesting to think about.

The manga's take on events is interesting, especially with the idea that, to some degree, Linebeck was able to overpower Bellum in order to move how he wanted (even though it was clearly limited to only specific parts and with clear difficulty) and the idea that he'd do... well, anything he can to ensure Link's safety is pretty good.

The general concept of a Link having to fight a possessed person isn't really new and wasn't new when Phantom Hourglass rolled around, but I honestly think ph did it best, holy shit. Link having to fight a close friend and someone in a role akin to a mentor to him is already one hell of a devastating setup, but one extra thing I've seen others point out is that the Bellumbeck fight is the second time Link's be faced with a sword fight with another human, and he ended the first one by killing his opponent. So, that's a fun correlation for Link to make during this fight!

Bellumbeck is just... it's such a cool, unique battle even compared to the other final bosses, and while it may fall short in difficulty or gameplay, it has some fantastic music and all of the story and character surrounding it is honestly amazing.

Mashima seems to really enjoy just turning female villains into very docile women/making it so that most of them have their actions excused. And even beyond that he has so many of his women with shy/withdrawn personalities which can be disappointing because often times it would benefit them more to have a different personality.

Instead of Wendy being a little girl who is terrified and gentle, make her a little unhinged. She's a girl who was raised with only the tribe as her human contact all her life. And even then because they were basically spirits it means she had to fend for herself. Let her be confident, defensive, quick to violence if something was potientially a threat. Let her have brawl sessions with the other dragon slayers and be fully capable of thriving in the wilderness if it came down to it.

Mirajane taking on a docile personality post Lisana death but becoming more bold after getting back in touch with her powers. Give us her friendly rivalry with Erza back and in fact let them have a strong friendship not centered around team natsu that allows us to see Erza connect outside of the main group.

Levy being fearless, not because she's like her Edolas counterpart, but because she's so eager to know things and learn that it supercedes any fear she'd have. And more so just being comfortable around mages that most people fear because she wants to study their abilities and take everything in. It would make the Phantom lord attack on team shadowgear and her subsequent fear of Gajeel that much stronger.

There's one Character I do feel would've benefited from a more mannered/withdrawn personality and that's actually Lucy. Lucy who was raised to be neither seen nor heard, who was a noble lady. A girl who had only friends in her spirits until she met natsu and next to no contact with the outside world. Lucy being shy, nervous, and having the energy of a homeschooled kid finally free of house rules would've been fantastic.
