omg i finally got platinum in returnal wtf am i supposed to do now, doing two runs a day has been part of my routine since like june..

#stupid crimson wastes and abyssal scar surveys took me MONTHS #and added another 40 hours of playtime i shit you not #just me doing more and more runs to find stupid random rooms for all the ciphers #im actually stoked tho #i honestly didnt even think id be able to play the game at all considering how genuinely difficult/punishing it is and #how limited my hands are #(ty developers for allowing controller remapping ily) #the story was so intriguing and cool and perfect for the medium that i really wanted to play myself even after #having watched my husband play almost two years ago (when i definitely couldnt have played myself lol) #i was so stoked when i actually got good enough to beat just the first boss bc it felt like i had really earned it lol #especially since i just didnt think it would be possible for me #and now i can just pick it up whenever and beat the whole thing and i rarely die at all which is sort of amazing #ive also learned i really like roguelites lmao #back when i got into hades i thought id HATE it and turns out its my new favorite thing lmao #that free god of war dlc from a month ago was super fun too #i fuckin love games #returnal #x

I dont really share my interests that much. Not until last year, and mostly only online. And I've made a huge discovery! It is perhaps, maybe possibly a good idea to find people who like and do the things you like and do and to talk to them.

I never really thought I was impressively good at anything, I thought I was average, and that my skill reflected the amount of time I'd spent doing the thing. That it was a given. Someone can walk in and see me where I am and be impressed and I don't have to judge them for it. I used to always think "you're impressed with this? You could do it too if you wanted to"

#playing pathologic #by the end of day 2 i decided to say fuck it and go to those places the odonghs can be found across the steppe and river #at the left lung of the town while walking through the water in midst of the rain i decided to play blossoms #it all felt so. vast and empty. but most of all it brought out the feeling that within character you were truly and sufferably alone #god that was an amazing experience despite it all #and #im not sure if its dumb to say this #but i cried #everything felt so vivid and raw #something that is so unique to this version of the game #the overlaying of sounds and music felt so perfect #it just makes me happy to be able to feel something like this even through a simple video game #those small moments where you notice how little it takes from your emotions for any experiences to become this valueable #just rambling

Mmmm it’s a crime to have my two comfort shows on a streaming app that isn’t even one of the main ones where you have normal shows that aren’t reality shows or documentaries.

The fact that something gave me three months of free discovery+ is paying off tho. I got Ghost Adventures and Pitbulls and Parolees again for the next couple months. Got them good comfort shows. I get to see ghosts and a bunch of dogs and I’m happy now. But now i have 3 months to watch all 25 seasons of GA and 19 of PBaP... idk if that’s enough time. We’re talking hour long episodes and 20+ episodes per season and wow. that’s a lot. Btw. Zak Bagans has not aged well and he still very much wants to fuck a ghost.
