Hello a few years ago I bought these black flowers and I think they are so cool any pretty! Do you grow any black flowers? Or know of any cool goth flowers that are like not too difficult to find

Those black petunias are about the blackest you can get easily annual flower-wise! There are also black pansies that are pretty black. Otherwise, I've grown black-flowering perennials like black hollyhocks, iris, hellebore. Most "black" flowers are going to have a red or purple tint because they're just really concentrated pigment.

But for me, for true goth garden, you've got to go for the plants with black foliage.

At the beggining of the year (i would say like two months after they arrived), Sayaka mentioned to Taka that the school uniform's jackets are way too small for her chest. Him being like "i get it it's too small for me too, my father accidently bought a smaller size than i'm supposed to wear".

Kyoko headcanons but slightly projecting part 2:

- Celeste and her had a situationship going on and it made everyone including her uncomfortable. (They’re madly in love)

- Obviously her favorite animal is a capybara

- She canonically smells flowery, but I head-canon that the reason she smells like that is because she always burns floral candles and incense, as well as floral shampoo and body wash since she’s sensitive to perfumes

- She’s into fashion but is bad at executing outfits so just dresses basic

okay rant time but BEFORE I GO ANY FURTHER I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY I AM TRANSGENDER AND THIS POST IS COMING FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF A TRANS MAN. I AM NOT FORCING ANYONE TO AGREE WITH ME OR CHANGE THEIR HEADCANONS THESE ARE MY THOUGHTS BASED ON PERSONAL EXPERIENCES.

I really *really* think saying chihiro fujisaki is a trans woman is legitimately disrespectful and if anything harmful to actual trans women.

trans rep, ESPECIALLY transfem rep is outrageously hard to find done right or just to find at all. it's almost always stereotyped or gross or harmful and fetishy and I legitimately hate it, so I completely understand the headcanon people have for him but I think if you hc him as trans, trans*masc* would not only fit better but be far less disrespectful, let me explain.

the whole point/narrative of chapter 2 is toxic masculinity, and chihiro is unfortunately a victim of toxic masculinity. chihiro was harassed and bullied into dressing like a girl because he was born with a more feminine appearance, which as a trans man myself I completely understand the struggle of. saying someone is a trans woman because they were *forced* to dress and act like a girl so they wouldn't be bullied, hurt, ect is gross to me. it's implying trans women are forced to act that way, not for comfort in their own bodies but to fit the expectations of others. I'd totally get it if he had a more masculine appearance and was dressing like a woman and getting bullied for willingly choosing to express himself as a girl, but he isn't. he doesn't like it, he says so himself.

"where is it implied he doesn't like it and it makes him uncomfortable?" well unfortunately trigger happy havoc being trigger happy havoc very VERY briefly covers this topic and it blows ass but fortunately, we have danganronpa summer camp! I recently bought the game because I wanted to see all my sillies alive and well interacting with eachother, and each character has their own mini kind of story mode, so let's talk about chihiros.

chihiro has quite alot of very interesting cutscenes that give HEAVY transmasc implications, but the most notable one is at the end of his story mode he actually comes out to everyone that he is a boy and is ecstatic about it because he finally feels comfortable enough to be who he truly is. another scene that screams transmasc is a cutscene with mondo and tenko where tenko is bashing mondo but praising chihiro and calling him a girl endlessly and praising him for being a girl. this literally causes him to run off with mondo and start crying because of her calling him a girl so much, and he expresses genuine fear that tenko might hurt him if he came out as a boy.

would someone who is so comfortable with their identity literally start crying out of fear when they're being addressed in a way that's supposed to make them happy? why would they have to fear being hurt? I know exactly how he feels and it legitimately angers me a little bit because it took me years of living in fear to come out. everytime I got called a girl I felt like breaking down and crying because I never felt like I'd be strong enough or masculine enough to be perceived as a boy, exactly how he expresses his feelings.

hes constantly thanking mondo for helping him build up strength, and that because of him hes starting to feel alot better. there's two other scenes that really really push the transmasc hc for me. one being a scene where he bumps into fuyuhiko, who is going to the same secret training spot as him, and they both bond over not being able to be perceived as masculine and strong because of their small, not traditionally masculine appearances. the final one that really seals it for me is where mondo and chihiro are sitting in the hotsprings together just chatting alone, until masaru shows up. masaru sees chihiro, and starts yelling that "mondo brought a girl into the hotsprings!!!" which causes him to break down and cry. It makes him uncomfortable and insecure, not happy.

so again, to me, you can have any hc for any character you want and im not gonna cop you for calling chihiro a girl, so please do the same for me. do whatever you want. but to me, I see it as disrespectful and rude to trans women as I've seen posts of trans women also saying that they don't think it's appropriate to hc him that way and share similar thoughts that it's disrespectful to them.

do I believe chihiro is trans?? yes!! absolutely!! trans rep forever we NEED more of it in media!! but in this case I don't really see it as transfem rep, but transmasc rep.

"This is ridiculous and you are boring," said Izuru Kamukura. "And as for you?"

The yakuza girl was smart enough to see which way this was going, but she had a job to do. "He insulted someone you don't want to insult and messed up an extremely expensive business transaction."

"I'm so sorry my shopping bag happened to split at that exact moment," said Nagito, even more happily, if that was possible. "If I hadn't bought quite so many oranges--"

"He did it on purpose!"

"How would he have caused a bag to break on purpose?" Izuru demanded.

"Nobody just, just stumbles into a deal we planned for months, with f--" The second yakuza elbowed her into silence.

"They sound," said Izuru, "like exceptionally poor months of planning, if an unwitting shopper could disrupt your meeting with a simple accident."

"But how did he get past all the guards to the top of the--"

"Ladies and gentlemen," Izuru announced to the whole lot of them, "Nagito Komaeda has never done a single thing wrong ever, and I shall not permit you to pin a random accident and your own incompetence upon a self-evidently innocent party."

One biker began to roll up his sleeve and was hastily stopped by his comrade.

Izuru made a flawless about-face and carried off the 'innocent' party, who smiled brilliantly back over his shoulder.

"It fuckin' was him," the yakuza grumbled.

"Yeah, but you heard the boss. We don't mess with the guy with the hair."

"I coulda took him!" insisted the biker.

"No you couldn't," said several of the others.

"You could have left me to my fate, then."

"They would have been severely injured."

"I'm as weak as a newborn colt, Izuru. I could hardly have defended myself!"

"The overloaded transformer near the leaking sprinkler hose would have done it for you."

"You are careless," said Izuru, "and naughty. What is to be done with you?"

"Izuru could always see to my punishment personally!"

Chapter 2

A another day of school finished, Kiyotaka Ishimaru was now at home getting ready for his date with Mondo, But he was having bit of a problem because…

“Do you think this will do Etsuko?” Asked Kiyotaka, While Etsuko was sitting on Taka’s bed while The Moral Compass showed a another set of white pants to the bunny.

“Is it to boring?” Asked Taka for advice to the plushy. Then he heard a knock behind his bedroom door. “Enter” Kiyotaka said as he put the pants away. Unsurprisingly it’s was Takaaki who came to the room it seemed like Takaaki had just arrived home from work. “Father your home! Said Taka happily. “Yeah I’m home and what’s going on here” asked Takaaki pointing at the mess of clothes in Taka’s room. “Well father… Today me and Mondo are going on a date and since it’s a casual date. I need to wear something casual but I realize now that I don’t have anything casual with me, only casual clothes I have is the clothes that we bought was 9 years ago.” Said Taka lowering his head. He didn’t wanted to worry his father over something so small after all they were struggling, much worse and he was now saying how he was low on clothes. “Nevermind father forget what I said-“ but before he could finish his sentence Takaaki had already left the room. Taka was confused but he knew his father was much more busy with his work then his son’s love life. Taka just sighed and begined to pick up his clothes from the floor as Taka finished tidying his room. Takaaki came to the room with a grey sweater and denim pants that’s was just his son’s size. “Father what is this?” Asked Taka to his father. “This was something I wore on my first date with your mother. It’s nothing fancy but it’s is casual just as you wanted right?” Asked Takaaki as he said that his son smiled “Thank you father” Taka said happily.

Mondo was checking something on his phone in front of the school gate were Mondo and Taka was going to meet up for their date. “I’m here puppy.” Taka called out to his boyfriend. Mondo looked up from his phone to see his boyfriend and he couldn’t help but blush at his bunny(Taka). The sight of Taka with his grey sweater and denim pants made Mondo forget that he was ever standing or even existed in the first place. “Puppy is everything alright?” Kiyotaka asked innocently while he was at least 3mm away from Mondo. Which made Mondo blush even more. “Puppy?” Asked Taka one more time. This time Mondo snaped back to reality. “I’m fine I’m fine! It’s just…” Mondo looks at Taka’s crimson eyes. “You look beautiful” Mondo managed spout out from his mouth. “Thank you my dear” said Taka smiling innocently while blushing. There was a silence between them but their eyes were doing the talking by staring at each others. But soon Taka’s eyes was distracted by Mondo’s ride. “Is that a new bike Darling?” Asked Taka pointing at the Motorcycle behind Mondo. “Yep this is a new baby that I bought a week ago” said Mondo pointing at the new motorcycle. “Now wanna get going the show will start in a hour or so” Mondo added. “Understood” Taka said smiling

Its is rather huge but other then that it’s amazing’ said Taka as he tried to control his excitement. As Taka said the theater was Huge enough for an elephant to fit in. around at his surroundings he felt someone held his hand. He turned around to see who held his hand it was none other then Mondo himself. ‘Ready to get inside babe?’ Asked Mondo sweetly. Taka smiled gently and said ‘Sure dear’

Taka and Mondo got inside a huge theater and sat on their sits

“I’m so excited for this” Taka said looking at the stage

“I glad you think so babe” Mondo said smiling sweetly at Taka

“So Mondo I been wondering what kind show is this?” Ishimaru asked curiously at his boyfriend

“Oh it’s a magic show.” Mondo said smiling but his smile showed a little bit of nervousness in his face

“A Magic show?” Kiyotaka asked dumbfounded

“Yeah” Mondo said trying not to yell because of his nerves was on the roof because of Taka’s reaction “is something wrong bunny?” Mondo asked worried for his boyfriend and nervous if had messed up big time

“Well-“

But before Taka could say anything the lights had went out and the stage lights pointed at the stage the show had began

Hey all!! So, I think I’ve finalized my Mondo cosplay look! I bought a dark brown (that turned out more black, unfortunately) hair extension and curled my natural hair and put it into a pony tail, and I think it looks kind of like Mondo with his hair down! The extensions are a bit longer than I wanted, but it was literally the shortest ones I could find in my budget. And it’s not terrible. The little curls at the front of my face were an accident, but I think it looks better than if I just pushed them back. I do wish I had contacts, but I think my glasses actually fit Mondo fairly well, especially since I got purple cat eye ones recently.

What do y’all think?? Does it look like a decent female Mondo cosplay? You can’t see the back of the hair much with the jacket on, but I added a picture since I doubt I’ll be wearing the jacket the entire time. Does anyone have any suggestions to add or change about the outfit? Thanks!!

I decided to give paint pens a go a while back and ordered a couple packs of Poscas.

I’ve been pretty pleased with them all around. Texture is nice and smooth, opacity isn’t terrible (some colors are better than others), the colors are great other than I think the light blue from the non-pastel set makes a better pastel blue than the one in the pastel pack.

But Poscas can be a bit pricey. I do think it’s worth the asking price as long as you know how to use paint pens. A lot of the angry negative reviews I saw on Amazon were user error.

Anyway, I’ve seen the brand Mondo Llama at Target lately and I’m always curious about a brand that has cheaper crayons and markers than Crayola. Are they terrible like Rose Art, or are they decent?

I bought the $10 “classic colors” pack of their paint pens last time I was there and gave them a try.

First problem is that they do include a bold red, a black, and a white, but no yellow at all.

Can’t make a rainbow without yellow... Why is there no yellow? There’s yellow in the bigger pack.

They also took FOREVER to prime. press press press press press press... That may be from being displayed on the shelves upright (paint makers should be kept on their side).

Once I got the paint flowing, though, they were fine.

Smooth texture, nice colors (much better pastel blue than Posca’s pastel blue), decent if not great opacity. They kind of look like chalk markers on a darker paper.

All in all, they’re ok. Not great. Not bad. I do think they’d be a good, less expensive introduction to paint pens if you wanted to try them out or needed a LOT of them for a class.

However there is a distinct quality difference between these and the Posca brand, even the wicks/tips feel different, so if you tried these and felt kind of “meh” about it, you might feel differently trying Posca.

Having used both brands on the same kind of canvas board, Mondo Llama’s paint pens look more like regular markers.

And here is Posca pastels on the left (with satin sealant, see what I mean about the blue? it’s just not good), and Mondo Llama on the right (unsealed). They are very different color profiles.

7 - Great Hammerhead Sharks. I live by the Aquarium of the Pacific and they have one and I get giddy every time. They're such goobers. I love sharks. sharks are the best.

12 - I don't actually have a brand I trust 100% I used to be all about Lush. but then 2020 happened and I'm kinda disappointed in them (iykyk. if you don't...google). there's a brand Odele that's at Target that's great for curly hair. But I feel like it leaves behind too much sometimes so I love the Ouai detox shampoo. plus it smells wonderful. Brad Mondo has some 10/10 styling products. Overtone is the only thing I color my hair with. I'm pathetic at body care and use Belief skincare.

23 - YES AND I AM VERY UPSET. So first i have a bioshock necklace bc it's my favorite game of all time. but now I have Yoongi's guitar pick and I wear it almost every day. I have a bracelet that I've never taken off for the last year and a half and I love it. BUT. I bought these two rings at the Korean night market in downtown/ktown los angeles. and they are beautiful and it was only like $30 each and I also got matching bracelets to share with my sister. and it was great. I FUCKING WENT TO SEE BLUE OCTOBER AND THE GOO GOO DOLLS LAST WEEK RIGHT. and I went to the bathroom before the show started. I took the rings off, put them on that metal bit where the toilet paper is bc they snag clothing and i ain't about to deal with that. did my business. AS I GOT UP I THOUGHT "i need to grab those" and two seconds later left the bathroom. AND I ONLY REMEMBERED AT 4 IN THE MORNING. and i am LIVID. and the rings aren't on the website. I was literally 15 minutes away from their physical store on saturday but we were too tired from Kplay fest to go and see if they had them. I'm so upset. so so so so upset. like yeah whatever it's just $60. I own a ring that's like $800 but I never touch it for that reason. but i loved them so much.

DAY 18 - COLORS

I have had a very huge and passionate dive in period last year concerning this subject: being into photography and movies, I bought a couple of books that only talk about colors, the theory of colors, how they were used in different medias (especially communication/marketing) in the different ages (e.g. how they discovered and used each of them for paintings!) and let me say, it's soo interesting. Colors speak to us on subconscious levels too. Not to mention that we may not perceive most of them in the same way. I don't read much anymore, but those two books had me hooked. I don't know if you can find them in your mother tongue or not, still I'll leave you the titles here, just in case (and I think you can find a couple of epubs on Google too, especially of the first).

Another media I want to leave you is by the Italian illustrator Fraffrog (that I have already mentioned another day): she just posted a video on youtube about the nonexistent color magenta that we all can actually see (but she also explains well how we all can perceive colors differently, like in a couple of viral images we all have seen online - the shoes and the dress). She has made an older video about the colors' theory too (the link to that is in the video as well).

I'd talk about colors with your for ages, as it's a subject that fascinates me a lot: there are so many hidden meanings behind each of them, its crazy. A Bit About Myself

I’ve not regularly used Tumblr in a very, VERY long time. Beforehand this blog was mostly for recaps of the series “Simba the King Lion,” a production by Mondo TV that I still have massive interest in (I plan on re-watching it a third time at some point). However with Twitter being bought by that rat bastard Elon Musk, I’ve decided to just come back here to resume my more normal posting, at least until some other platform inevitably becomes the most popular one and I end up having to go there to promote my art and music.

So I thought I’d like to just take a little bit to introduce myself to anyone who originally followed me for the recaps, if anyone who originally followed me is still on this site. If nothing else, this should at least be a good introductory point for any new followers. My name is Gigakoops, I’m a trans woman currently living in Norway, and I’m a musician and digital furry artist. I’m also an enthusiast for “funny-bad” TV shows, movies and video games, and am also an avid fan of rhythm games. I’ve been in the Rock Band community for over a decade now, and while I don’t really hang out in any close-knit communities, I still play Rock Band and Clone Hero on a regular basis. I’ve been a furry for a long while, though I haven’t posted much about it on Tumblr, since I was at the time shy about interacting with that community. Since then I’ve started doing furry art, and while I’m still learning and improving, I’ve been happier and happier with each digital art piece that I make. My main OC/fursona is a fox, and she’s also the avatar I use in the experimental band I’m in, Negative Øhio. Speaking of music, I’ve actually been writing music for over a decade as well. In fact, I originally wrote music specifically to be difficult to play on Rock Band, back when they had a program called the Rock Band Network that allowed artists to put their own music in the game officially. Back then my music was strictly chiptunes, and while I initially got a lot of negative feedback for it (some of which was quite frankly toxic) I’ve grown to really enjoy those songs again in recent years. Nowadays my music has taken a turn towards Nintendocore, a fusion genre of chiptunes and metal/hardcore. If you want to listen to my most recent solo music, here’s a link to my most recent album. I am working on more music, though not sure when I’ll be able to publish any of it. As mentioned I’m in an experimental band called Negative Øhio. We make a variety of different types of songs, ranging from low-key but disturbing trip-hop, to harsh noise, to industrial metal anthems about trans rights, to freeform jams put through the meat grinder, to all sorts of different, noisy things. We’re currently working on our third album, and recently released a new song, if you want to check out our 10-minute avant-garde death metal masterpiece that’s also a critique of Orson Welles’ “Citizen Kane.” Outside of my artistic endeavors I’m also really into music, video games and movies in general. I enjoy lengthy RPGs, as well as casual life-sims and rhythm games in general. I’m also into all sorts of different types of music, though in recent years I’ve been gravitating more towards metal, noise, progressive rock, and older techno/gabber, as well as whatever you call the Seitama series of songs in Taiko no Tatsujin. As for movies, I enjoy comedies, horror films, and certain types of art films best (the type that don’t really do a lot of exploitation, I’m talking films that just have unique ways of tackling themes that most mainstream films wouldn’t really address). I also tend to like a lot of films other folks don’t; for example I genuinely think the 1990′s Mario movie is a pretty good dystopian sci-fi movie, and I’m all for the canon that it sets forth for the Mario characters. But I also enjoy a lot of “so-bad-it’s-good” media. In recent years that’s taken the form of me playing through infamously broken video games to completion, just to laugh with my wife about what’s unfolding on the screen. But my main interest here is films. In fact I have a knack for finding obscure films that are hilarious for all the unintended reasons, and genuinely appreciating films that go out of their way to approach things in the most obtuse, confusing way possible, and find these sorts of films genuinely enjoyable and worth watching, even if not for the intended reasons.

Thus was what brought me to making this blog back in the day. I originally found out about Simba the King Lion when doing research about Mondo TV, the production company behind The Legend of the Titanic (an infamous knockoff to James Cameron’s Titanic that claims the accident never happened, and includes a plot involving talking animals, oil barrens trying to gain legal whaling rights, and a scheme involving tricking an octopus into throwing the iceberg at the ship). When I saw this company made a knockoff series of The Lion King I had to watch it, and my mind was absolutely blown by what I saw. Anyways this post is super, duper long and I apologize, just thought I’d introduce myself a little bit. I plan on using this blog mostly to post random things from now on, mostly art, music and shitposts. If you stick around I hope you enjoy my feed! Awesome work by my colleague at UM, Raymond Zammit, who co-edited, with Pietro Grassi, this 780-page mammoth volume which has just been published. It consists of almost 50 chapters on the intersection between bioethics and disability studies. My chapter is titled "Preso nel mezzo di una caduta: Discorsi di dipendenza e vulnerabilità in Kittay, Carel e Butler". It brings together the work of 3 philosophers whose work influenced me deeply: Judith Butler's ethico-politics of dependency, Eva Feder Kittay's feminist ethics of care & disability, and Havi Carel's phenomenology of illness. Covid-19 and Sally Rooney also make an appearance in this chapter which reflects on how we may re-imagine institutions & social structures that place experiences of vulnerability at the centre rather than disavow them. It's been great to collaborate with scholars and lovely people from UM and other universities in a genuine inter-disciplinary space.

It's the first time my work has been translated into Italian, so I am very grateful to the translators too. An English version of the book is forthcoming.
