long time no H♡L info??!??!?!?!?

I did mention that Toshiro and Seina both have siblings. WELL. I made up my mind about them. Neither has a name yet, but I have a whole leftover name list from when I was naming all of Helianthus. Toshiro has an older brother and Seina has a younger sibling. And uhm. So remember how I ALSO mentioned that I accidentally started thinking about another fan unit. That's because of them. These siblings are in another unit together. I actually already have a general theme and even their sekai in mind????? Somehow??????? All I'm gonna say for now is that it's space-themed. Because of course it is. At this point I might as well make a billion units for each of my interests (/nsrs), but uh ANYWAYS. Yeah. I'll try to design said siblings today, ALTHOUGH. I have like,, 3(??) other H♡L wips, but I just CANNOT stop, my brain is full of ideas and these guys are genuinely one of the only things keeping me going???? Along with my sister??????? Can you tell I'm super excited, did any of that even make sense, idc, I just wanted to say it.

AND. To not make this just me saying some random general stuff, I'll also share what's the idea for H♡L's sekai is FOR NOW. It can change because I. Am painfully inconsistent. Just a heads up – I'm not he best with descriptions, and I'm also not gonna really bother making it sound good right now, it's just to give whatever few ppl care about these sillies an idea of what it'll probably look like. (As I'm writing this, I realized I actually *am* trying to make it sound nice, but if it sounds weird. Hush. /lh)

I mentioned that I call it the overgrown sekai. Because it's, well, overgrown. As you could hopefully guess. The main part of it is an old stone structure, with some intricate carvings still remaining visible and even discernable, although everything does look like it's at least.. a few centuries old, no less. However, taking into account that it's a sekai, it probably isn't that ancient. Almost everything is pretty much overrun by plants – ivy spreading across the grey stone walls, grass (and most importantly flowers) breaking their way through the floor that seems to be made of marble, but it's too old, overgrown and at times dirty to be completely sure. The said flowers are a strange mix of forget-me-nots and sunflowers that may not quite make sense, but it *is* a whole ass other dimension, after all. There's plenty of light, despite practically no windows in sight, save for a few small ones. The reason for that being the roof, shaped like a dome, with holes in it that clearly weren't here by the first design, having appeared because of the stone collapsing over time. Unsurprisingly, the flowers are concentrated in the areas where the most light seeps through those holes. And speaking of light, the time here is always the same – late afternoon, with the season always remaining a comfortable sunny summer.

There's some furniture in the building, mostly along the walls, with the center looking almost like a flowerbed. That furniture seems to represent each of the owners of the sekai – an old desk made of dark wood with a quil and some paper thrown around it, almost giving it an impression that the owner left in a hurry. The paper has become a light yellow color over what may or may not be a rather long amount of time. Next to it – a somewhat fancy wooden chair. There are mirrors hung around this part of the space – some broken, some have the glass taken out entirely. Just a little further – a shelf and an armchair. Both items' materials and overall look fit that of nearly very other piece of furniture here. The shelf is filled with items that seem to have some spiritualistic significance – amulets, crystals and stones, all of them hand-made and hand-carved, yet seeming to lack in accuracy and having been made in a hurry. The armchair strangely has a few long chains hanging on its back. One of the more noticeable pieces of furniture is... a fish tank. It has no fish. In fact, it doesn't even have water, though it's probably not intended to be that way – the tank is spacious and has pretty much almost everything a fish would need to be happy and content in captivity. But it's old and worn out – the driftwood rotting away, whatever plants used to be inside have withered and everything is covered in a thin layer of... dust..? The tank itself stands on top of something of a dresser. If you care to open its doors, you will see rows upon rows of books – as many as could fit in the little space there is inside. Most of them have to do with marine life, but there are also some journals full of incomprehensible messy writing, as if whoever was filling them either didn't have much time, or was feeling too much emotion to care. Perhaps the strangest item in the building is a cage. It's designed just like one of those small restricting bird cages, glistening with gold in the light from above, but for some reason, the cage could easily fit a human. If you decide to step in, you might notice an unexpected aroma. It's vague and subtle, but... it almost seems like fresh black coffee mixed with something citrusy. Outside, the building is surrounded by a dense forest. The light can't penetrate the abundance of trees, but somehow, it doesn't feel eerie or threatening. It feels familiar in an unexplainable way. Have you already seen these woods somewhere..?

WOOOOO I THINK THAT'S ALL. I think. I hope I didn't miss anything. Uhm. I also hope it's not too,, out there, idk. There's also another area I have in mind, BUT. that is some world link territory, where I don't rlly wanna go rn,,,,, RAGHHHH I hope all of that sounds alright. Again, if it doesn't,,,,, I'm not a writer by any means, I just. Felt silly.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on Austin butlers new esquire article. It’s an amazing interview. He’s just so pure and humble. His maturity amazes me because I know some guys his age. They are not like that at all. It shows how amazing his mother was.

Austin is so introspective and deep... you can tell he was a deep thinker, even as a kid. He's such an old soul.

I'll admit, I was kind of shocked to see him say that he still loves and cares for Vanessa. 🥺

It seems Austin is going the Leo and Daniel Day Lewis route in trying to keep his private life separate from his work life. I know Leo has said in the past that when ppl know TOO much about your private life, it's hard for them to separate you the actor, from the character you're playing onscreen. I have to admit that there's some truth to that at times. It's harder for actors to really "disappear" in roles and be believable to the audience if the audience knows a little too much about you.

Him recounting some of the stuff that went on in his childhood was heartbreaking 💔

His mom seems like she was the sweetest woman 🥺 Parents of these actors really don't get thanked nearly enough. All of the sacrifices, driving to and from auditions, etc. Like, I know he's so appreciative for everything she did for him.

god. this is really making me look at my statistics page which I actively try not to do lol. but it's one long day, I will carry you, color theory, foreigner's god, and growing pains. what can I say, the ppl love the they lived AUs!

I try to but I'm terrible about it which is a personal failing. I am so sorry. a new strategy that helps with this is that with my WIPs I try to respond right after the next chapter is posted so the person gets a nice lil notif and they have something else to read!

oh hmmm. I guess the derelict art of letting go ending was angsty, but the whole thing was angsty. the end was bittersweet. maybe Invictus? ok new problem is I can't remember what I've written

god. lmao. yes I do! not often, though, I'm afraid. I tend to write an extremely narrow niche which is just exorcising trauma through sex and personal intimacy. I have no chill :)

no I actually usually dislike crossovers lol. like theogony is a fusion of the outlander premise but I can assure you that James Alexander Malcom MacKenzie Frasier will not make an appearance. crossovers stress me out and I like to keep my little fictional words separate, if I can. ok edit: on further review I've concluded that I enjoy premise swaps (these are just AUs lol), but I can't deal with characters from multiple pieces of media interacting. it's too much. stay in your lanes, my god. this isn't super smash bros.

not a whole fic but someone basically copy and pasted a bunch of lines from NAR into their story and then a bunch of drama ensued. it sucked and I don't like looking at NAR because it reminds me of it. I still think about the anon who told me about it, though. they were so lovely and so caring and kind to me. I hope they're doing well.

yes! both with my permission and without. ha ha.

i totally get you,,, it's just a personal thing for me,,, i guess i can never excuse murder unless it's a special case. i know this is a fictional world and he's fictional and all but, i guess it ultimately had me wondering if i was in it or if he was here. if all of the people i care about were non-sorcerers, i REALLY wouldn't want them, you know, dead. i guess that had been the dealbreaker for me...? idk, i still love him and i mourn the person he could've grown to be had the circumstances been different.

i agree with all the points you made, though!! he's been nothing but kind, and not to be accusatory but, his 2 closest friends also never really checked up on the guy and if i had to go through something like that myself i would go crazy too,,, just not to the extreme, even if he believed that what he was doing would lead to a more ideal world. all in all, he's a complex character, and it's nice to talk about it. he's one of my faves, and for more reasons than just him being really attractive (men with medium/long dark hair and have it tied up in some way make me very weak.)

i'm sorry if i'm rambling!!! jjk has grown to be one of my biggest hyperfixations and i feel like i could talk about it for hours,,, and everytime i talk with you you always make me feel welcome,,, i hope you don't mind, haha. i appreciate the ears, zuma, always. thank you <3

Deku seems a bit of an investigative kinda guy, so he definitely knew that the Justice Shield team was a joint effort even before meeting Reader! He never directly asks—this is all in chapter five, but like, he sort of just picks up context clues??? Reader does not talk about Reo. Whether Reader gets any closure about him, is, well… 👀 dependant on what you’d consider closure, I guess, LOL.

(personally, outside of fiction, i don’t believe in it. :’) i think it’s another story we tell ourselves to help us push forward. that sounds pessimistic, LOL, i don’t mean it to be, nor do i think it’s a bad thing. sometimes you just have to pick the moment you let something—or someone—go, and tell yourself it’s okay)

Hello there! I was rewatching Harurinralia (right after watching Free! FS movie <333) and I couldn’t help but notice this one specific detail. idk if this has been addressed before or if somebody has already pointed this out but this seems a bit hard to go unnoticed.

As you can see, during the hotel scene, the receptionist had claimed that they no longer had any other rooms available but… look at the row of keys behind her. THEY HAD PLENTY OF ROOMS!!!

I haven’t been able to follow this series for a while and I’m curious if there’s some sort of explanation to this. This is just so funny to me, I had a good laugh for a solid five minutes, I’m not even kidding. LOL. The animators either probably overlooked this one particular detail or basically just implied that the harurin bed scene agenda must be pushed through NO MATTER WHAT. LMAO.

About that haha I think it just could be that those all are in fact just keys for single rooms. But its her clear annoyance with Rin for no reason always makes me question things xD Like her face just shows how done she's with him and that makes me laugh all the time. I remember there were lots of fan theories about this and I don't remember all the details the original real life story, but she looks at him like he's some idiot and I'm not quite sure why lol

There were jokes about Rin doing that on purpose, but obv like its a joke, to me its more likely that she either thinks they had a fight or she most likely just doesn't get the problem of what's wrong with sharing a double bed with your bro and thinks Rin's some sort of macho man and hence the face lol

I think she's either done with ppl in general like me or thought he was being extra or smth cause they were literally here for one night. Rin was just a bit agressive about it too and I don't think she could've guessed the real reason of his panic lmaaao

Sooo... This is gonna get long. First, I know you said the requests are closed but I had this world where it's absolutely shocking how there was not much prompts about it : Omegaverse! Like it's such a famous world but there is so little about it in the MM community?? Less than 10 in ao3! Can you believe this?

The idea is, how would they (Jumin and/or Jihyun, I'm a huge simp for them, sorry) take care of MC, or maybe help MC go through her pre-heat (such as preparing a nest with their scented things/clothes) I guess it would be pretty frustrating... Especially if, they have their urges (marking) but wants to respect MC.

Secondly, I actually tried to remember your account's name to post the ask/request but... Got confused... I feel bad... Now I'm sure it's you tho, I saw the three amazing Masterlists.

Thirdly, I absolutely adore and admire you! Like... It's been years since I played and sometimes still play MM, and you have been there for just as long! You are the best writer for the MM community, whether it's Jumin oriented or the other characters and I adore you for that. Thank you very much.

I read some explainings on Google and honestly, I think I should read the popular Manwha where the blonde haired boy gets a baby with the dark haired one to totally get a grip of your request but did I understand it right, that Jumin/ Jihyun are supposed to be the Alpha in the story and Mc the Omega?

omg for the grad school anon! i am 26 and i chose to pursue a 2nd degree and i relate to a lot of things you said. esp about not being able to relate to other students, but also that really doesn't have to get in the way too much if you focus on building relationships with more ppl your age outside of college. thankfully i found another girl who is a year younger than me who also decided to get a 2nd degree and now we hang out a lot! will continue in a 2nd message this is getting long aaa

part 2! the thing about appreciating the value of education is so real! personally i might have even had better resources when i was doing my 1st degree but i had no idea how to use them. i was really in my head and going through a tough time mentally and looking back it's a real shame i didn't use everything given to me. now that resources are fewer i am getting more out of my degree tho bc i finally know what i want now that i'm older. i am actually interested in using them and i know how to!

Yeah, I totally agree that not really connecting w your classmates isn't a big deal at all, just like a factor to be prepared for so that the idea of it doesn't make you feel weird I guess! I think because so much brain development happens in the early 20s + all the stress of living outside the structure of the school environment most ppl REALLY quickly feel very different from ppl who are still in the college mindset, like I remember already feeling that way when I was 23-24 LOL. It's definitely nice to connect with other ppl who have been out of school even for a little bit as they will just tend to understand where you're coming from a little better!

And yes, god, it's sometimes still a real struggle for me not to be hard on myself for how I acted when I was in undergrad even though lol, I was literally a child and had so much trauma I was dealing with on top of just simply being young. I think it's definitely worth knowing ahead of time that because you are in a way returning to an environment you were in at a very different time of your life, you can often be really painfully reminded of how you felt at that time. It can be good ultimately bc you can work through some of those old wounds you didn't even realize you still had, but it's been the most helpful for me to just remind myself that I was really young and doing the best I could at the time!

Okay, so I was going through some of Shoma's junior programs and I am absolutely baffled by the costumes he wore at the 2013 Junior Grand Prix in Riga. Like, he only wore them for this one competition and then never again. The short program costume is kinda ugly imo, but that blue costume he wore for Steps is gorgeous! Probably my favorite of all of his junior costumes and he only wore it one time! The blue boot covers were a statement too! That Steps costume is way better than the one he replaced it with which just reminds me of Bluebird costumes from the Sleeping Beauty ballet (idk if there are any other ballet fans out there lol). Sorry, this isn't really even a question, I just think that the Riga Steps costume is extremely underrated! (My only complaint is the unnecessary illusion mesh at the neckline, but at least it matches his skin tone nicely.)

I'd also just like to appreciate for a second the unusual changes of time signature in Steps. The first section is in 5/4 meter, then it changes to a standard 4/4 during the slow part with the step sequence, and finally, the last part is in 6/8 (as best as I can tell, I'm still kinda bad at distinguishing 6/8 from 3/4). It took me until like the 8th viewing of this program to notice this which I guess speaks to the fact that these changes in metre don't look the slightest bit clunky on Shoma's skating. I guess it helped that he kept this program for two season, too. I wish more skaters would use music with funky metres, though I realize that could make timing jumps more difficult. If there are any other skates you know with funky time signatures, please recommend! :D

Shoma always had many costumes for his programs, I really cannot tell why we see costumes many times and some only for once. I guess it has to do with how comfortable Shoma feels in his costumes back then and now too.

"Funky" music is seldom I think because it's very difficult to skate to it and also it's difficult to make judges like something so extraordinary. In general I think skaters mostly remain in a comfort zones of music. I can't recommend any other "funky" program though I am sure there are some, but I can't remember.

S: Ok, uhm, where to start? 😆 I’m a tattoo artist from Germany and try everything to get my studio going right now. Other than that I’m either reading or drawing in my free time. I’m boring like that.

GT: How did you become a tattoo artist?

S: Oh my, I kinda stumbled into this. I was very unhappy with my job back at the time and a friend of mine (who is heavily tattooed) said that if I can draw I could tattoo it too. (which isn’t all that easy in the end 😅) But yea, I went and started an apprenticeship in a studio for a few months, then quit my job and started working as a tattoo artist full time. And I’ve been doing that for a good 3 1/2 years now.

GT: Has it paid off?

S: Oh most definitely. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. :)

GT: I gather you've always been artistic. Did you take any art classes or just practiced by yourself?

S: I never went to an art school. I just have always been drawing since I can remember. :) I love watching livestreams of other ppl drawing/creating things, though. I learnt a lot that way.

GT: Do you remember when you started doing fanart? Or at least doing it consciously?

S: Hmm, I think proper fanart that wasn’t some horrible doodles where no one could see what it was supposed to be, might be fanart for sailor moon and dragon ball. 😌 Think I was around 11/12? But I’m not really sure though. 😅

GT: Hahaha I'm sure your doodles were still great. But omg, two of my favorite animes! Who are your favourite characters on them?

S: Usagi and Rei. <3 their friendship was everything to me. I also love Vegeta! I have a soft spot for mean looking ppl with a big heart. ❤️

GT: Love Rei! I'm an Aries like her, so I had something to relate to her. And I love love love Vegeta, though my favorite is Trunks. But Vegebul remains one of my favorite ships.

Do you remember your first ships ever on any show?

S: Vegeta and Bulma are one of my all time fav OTPs. Also Seiya and Usagi are I think, my first ever ship, back when I didn’t even know what shipping was. 😆

GT: Nice to know we have two OTPs in common! What are some of your other ships? Do you still make fanart for them as well?

S: I dont have a lot of shows that im invested in THAT much that i have the urge to draw fanart for it. But im still madly in love with Agron and Nasir from the Starz Show Spartacus. (Everyone needs to watch this tbh!)

Another one of my first otps in a show are Michael and Maria from the original Roswell Show back in the 2000. They had the best chemistry too. :)

GT: How would you describe your fanart style?

S: Uh…oh my, let me think. 😆🤔I’m a big ol romantic deep down in my heart. lol I guess that shows in my style? Also I love bright colors. I want people to start smiling when they see my art. 🙈❤️

GT: I would say the colors definitely are your most easily recognizable attribute!

Walk us through your process, please.

S: I have to admit that I never do any sketches tbh. I just start directly with the lineart once I got inspired with an idea and go for it. I mostly do digital art. I work on an iPad Pro and use the procreate app. I have a lot of back and forth going on when I start to color. I use lots of different layers and settings and fool around with the colors and filters until I like what I see. Oh my gosh, I’m so bad at explaining. In the end I just BS my way through art and hope for the best. 

GT: And what does inspire you? Where do you get your idea from?

S: I mostly get inspired by the show itself. But there are so many mindblowing fanfictions out there as well that constantly give me ideas. Also music and the lyrics of songs I love. :)

GT: How often do you start a new piece? And, on average, how long does it take you to complete it?

S: I usually don’t work on more than one piece at a time. I need to focus on one and don’t want to work on anything else before I finish the current drawing. I usually need a week, maybe two? Depends on how detailed the drawing is going to be, if I’m going to color it, if I will add a background and so on. :) My submission for the Gallavich zine (which you guys will hopefully hold in your hands soonish!) took me about 28 hours for example.

GT: Wow! That's dedication! And it shows.

Do you take prompts? What about commissions?

S: I don’t have enough time for requests. :( but I do take commissions from time to time if I can manage it next to my main job. :)

GT: What are some of your own favorite Gallavich fanarts?

S: Definitely the one you are using as an icon right now. And maybe one I did back in 2014 when I first started watching the show. It’s of them from season one, sharing a smoke in their winter coats. :)

GT: They're both great! And once more, thank you for letting me use your art as an icon.

What are some of the other people in the fandom you admire?

Anyone goes, not only here either, and not just artists.

S: You are very welcome. :))

Oh, there are so many talented people out who make the fandom such a special place. Let me think for a second.

Art wise I’m in love with Lulu‘s (@luluxa​) painting. The way she colors her pieces is absolute art goals. So very impressive. Also she adds so many details and makes it such an experience to look at her art. Phenomenal!c❤️ I also adore Mitchell’s (@psychicskulldamage​) art! His chibi comics are sooooo freaking adorable and funny! The style is also so unique and it brings me so much joy whenever he shares something new. ☺️💓

Another huge inspiration and talent I admire is Gray (@gallavichy​). Her stories just go straight to my heart and I have taken a lot of inspiration for drawings from her stories. The emotions she inflicted in me with her writing is unbelievable.

There are so many more ppl who needs to be mentioned but these three immediately come to mind. :)

GT: When did you first start watching Shameless?

S: I started back in 2014, when season 4 aired.

GT: And what attracted you to Ian and Mickey's relationship?

S: Well, first of all, the chemistry between Noel and Cam is just sooo good and they are both so amazing together. It’s so much fun to see them together on screen. I fell in love with Ian and Mickey’s teasing, bickering and how they fought so hard at such a young age to be together, in whatever way they could be at certain times. The connection they shared, even if they were apart and couldn’t be with each other, it was always obvious to them that they were each other’s person though. And that fascinated me and I was in deep. :’)

GT: Did you join the fandom right away? How was the fandom back then different from now?

S: Omg it’s been so long. 😂 I was still very much into Spartacus at the time and only sloooooowly stepped into shameless. But the fandom was immediately so very welcoming and supportive, I was in deep quickly. lol I would say the fandom hasn’t changed much? At least from what I experienced. Still lots of amazing art, stories, discussions and memes going around, next to ppl fighting tooth and nail about certain topics. 😅 We are a lot of very passionate people, so it never gets boring. 😆❤️

GT: Truly.

You mentioned the fandom being welcoming and supportive. Have the comments on your art always been positive?

S: Surprisingly, yes! The art I made during s4-5 for shameless is still my most popular shameless related stuff, if we take a look at the notes at least. It really blew my mind.

GT: Let's go back to Shameless. What's your favorite season of the show?

S: I would have to say season 4. It was just phenomenal. From the acting, to the story telling, to the whole mood of the season. I was just so invested in everyone's storyline. Frank and his failing liver, Fiona in jail and how she endangered Liam, Debs slowly becoming a young woman, SHEILA, even Sammi was fun to watch and her storyline with Frank really got to me, how she showered him and was there to bring his drinking buddies from the alibi to Sheila’s house when he was too weak to make it there on his own. Of course I don’t have to mention how brilliant yet gut wrenching Ian and Mickey’s journey throughout the season was. Just chefs kiss on all fronts.

GT: I just love Sheila.

Do you have a favorite episode and/or scene?

S: I mean my fav episode has to be 10.12. :)

GT: I think we all collectively died when we watched that!

What did you think of the ending? 

S: Tbh, yes. As far as it concerns only Mickey and Ian. (I didn’t like all the endless open endings for everyone else though) Their future looks so bright right now. I couldn’t ask for more. I’m sure they will have a good, sweet life together. <3

GT: Do you have any headcanons for their future?

S: I’m sure, they will expand their business as they mentioned in 11.10. Hire some guys, buy more cars and so on. I could imagine them each doing something different later on though and only function as the bosses of the transport business. I hope Ian can work in the EMT, nurse field again somehow? And as for Mickey, I could see him do more with his passion for art. Maybe he will work as a tattoo artist himself one day. 😆❤️

GT: I agree, I'd also love for Ian to go back to being an EMT, he was actually good at it. And hell yes to tattoo artist Mickey!

S: Other than that I think they will eventually move back to the South Side again, maybe buy a house? And I hope they are gonna travel together once their probation is over. See the world and everything it has to offer. :’) Maybe visit Mandy, wherever she is and then Fiona in Florida.

GT: I so wish they'd at least mentioned Mandy again!

If you could go back and change one thing in canon, what would it be?

S: I think I wouldn’t change anything? Well, obviously I wish I could undo any harm ever done to them, but that’s not how it works. Yea, I think I wouldn’t change a thing storytelling wise. I would have wanted to see them on THE date. No matter which season but it would have been some nice fanservice if they had shown them at sizzlers or something else on a date. ☺️

Okay wait.

Ian sleeping with that woman in season 7. Cause I think he was always sure about his sexuality and it was kind of unnecessary? (You could maybe link it back to his bipolar and him being kinda already a bit unbalanced after the fight with Caleb and maybe his meds didn’t work properly anymore, but even then I’m not that sure he would have done it?)

GT: What's the most challenging thing about creating fanart about them?

S: It’s the coloring for me. I can do lineart for hours and hours but once it’s time for color I’m like …lmao

GT: And what's the most fun part?

S: Oh definitely the hair.❤ I loooooove drawing hair. And Ian's and Mickey's are kinda unique, which makes it even more fun. 😊

GT: What are your favorite themes of tropes to draw?

S: Uh, I don’t have any? 😳

GT: Hahah, that's ok. Great, actually. But are there any themes or tropes you won't do?

S: Uh, I dunno…do you have examples of what kind of tropes are out there?😅

GT: Well, for instance, I know you didn't use to make smut art until very recently. What made you decide to go for it? (not that we're complaining)

S: Ah, i get it now. Well, I’m still very picky about nsfw stuff. I usually prefer to leave some things to the imagination, you know. But i kinda got bored a bit, drawing always the same kinda stuff and you can learn so much about anatomy if you draw ppl being intimate with each other! 😆 So yea,i learnt once again to never say never.

GT: Hahah

About about future works. Do you have any WIPs or ideas for future art?

S: I have a few things I wanna draw (but so little time.) I also work on a fun commission right now. If ppl are interested in WIPS or something like that, I sometimes post WIP stuff on my twitter. :)

GT: Nice to know!

S: Haha yes, actually. 😅 it’s so lame. I always made a typo when writing my name on the keyboard when I was younger and Steph most often became Steo. The rie got added cause I liked the sound of it. 😂😂😂
