Some of you asked (in response to this post) what were my favourite stories I'd posted on tumblr were. In no particular order, here are the top 5:

The Blue Key (I think it's the best standalone story I've written, except maybe this Medusa one that I haven't posted anywhere yet. It's pure me and my obsessions on the theme and I'm really proud of the writing itself. I genuinely think it's good. As writers we spend enough time doubting ourselves, so it's really nice to look at something you have done and be like 'huh, yeah, actually!!')

Villain locked up + treated badly (I really like the actual writing craft/descriptions in this one. Again, I think I did a genuinely good job. It makes me feel excited about my writing.)

Super beautiful villain (I can remember my thought process during writing this very clearly. E.g > I'm too ace for love at first sight based on purely physical attraction > so what's going on here? > ooh, ugly/beautiful themes and our stance on morality, plus foil characters, this is tapping into one of the things that fascinate me! I remember someone pointing out 'well, this character could just be ace and kill the villain' and me internally being like 'but I AM ace, do you think that makes you immune to wanting?' Anyway. If I was ever going to pick up a story to expand fully in my own time, it would probably be this one. It just brims with potential to me. Or the ace and the incubi one for a lighter version.)

Tired hero/Villain in cathedral (I often under-utilise setting in my tumblr posts, because they're just not to focus, but I really like how I quietly used the setting in this one. I just love cathedrals)

Princess/Demon Prince or Reincarnated wife of the monster king (oldies, but goldies. If I was ever going to write a me version of a more typical dark romance novel, I reckon it would stem from one of these. I don't know. There's something in the dynamic that I find interesting and dare-I-say mildly original. Worthy of sinking my teeth into.)

A/N: This was written quite a while back on Wattpad so I thought of posting it on here. Due to it being written ages ago, there will be no sequel unfortunately. However, there’s more one shots to follow. Hope you guys enjoy .xoxo

When the doorbell rang, I assumed it would be no one else but the girls. I opened the door and was greeted by just who I thought it would be, "Hey girls" I smiled. "Hi (Y/N/N)" they greeted back as they gave me a hug. Lando stood behind them with a smile on his face. "They won't be staying the night" he said as he crossed his arms over his chest. Ciska rolled her eyes whilst Flo made her way into the house.

"Why not ?" I asked as I raised a brow. "They have some thing at school tomorrow morning" he said. "Ohh okay then that's fine" I gave him a small smile. "Yeah I guess I'll see you later then, have fun" he said as he ran his fingers through his hair. He was all dressed to go out and he didn't even mention a word about where his going...wow some best friend he is. "Thanks. You too" I waved him off as I went inside and shut the door behind me. Ciska and Flo stared at me as my back was against the door. "Tomorrow's Saturday" I said confused.

"That it is" Flo said. "Do you'll really have to go to school tomorrow morning ?" I asked in confusion. "Nope" Ciska answered. "Then what was his deal ?" I asked as I raised my hands. "You'll find out later tonight" Flo said as Ciska laughed. "Oh god well I hope you'll are right" I said as I shook my head and started walking to my room.

They trailed behind me which my bestie was quick to stand up and greet them since she was familiar with them. We decided to play a few board games such as Ludo and Monopoly which I won or dominated by the way. Oldies are goldies.

After playing a few games we decided on watching a movie, it was hard for all four of us to come to a decision but finally we decided to watch High School Musical for like the tenth time.

Just before the introduction I decided to scroll through my Instagram for a quick minute so that I didn't miss anything important.

Lando's Instagram story was the first to pop up on my list and I was lowkey eager to see what he was up to. He had posted a video of his friend trying to imitate him and surrounded by him were not only his guy friends but a few girl friends as well. My heart actually dropped at the thought of him being romantically involved with one of them and me not knowing all this time, especially thinking that I had a chance for the past 2 years.

Directly after he had reposted another girls Instagram story, it was her attempt of Carlos and Lando's 'beat drop challenge' which just made me cringe since the song didn't even get to the beat, and instead her and the friend in the video were just trying to look pretty...pathetic.

Me being curious, I decided to do some snooping through this girls account. I've noticed both Oliver and Lando follow her. Lovely. She appears to be a model, even better. Looking at a few of her posts I see that Lando already liked a few of them. One post she's seen to be naked and has a 'wet' look as if she just came out of the shower, mans had the audacity to comment a bathtub emoji on her post. Smh.

"(Y/N/N) the movie is about to start" Flo said as she nudged me. "Are y'all seeing this shit ?" I said as I continued to scroll through her posts. "Who's that ?" Ciska asked as she looked over my shoulder. "Oh I don't know, maybe your future sister-in-law" I said sarcastically. Both of them stifling a laugh, even my best friend. "Oh my god no" Ciska said. "She's pretty though" my best friend piped. "Not what I need to hear right now, thanks" I faked a smile.

"This chick didn't even do the challenge correctly and your brother gives her some fame on his story plus making her feel important by commenting, and liking her photos" I scoffed. "Awww is (Y/N) feeling jealous ?" (Y/F/N) teased. "Oh my god no" I faked a laugh. "We know you well enough by now to know when you're lying" Flo smiled. "I ain't jealous guys. If he likes this chick then I'm happy for him" I faked a smile. "Okay, whatever you say (Y/N/N)" Ciska said with a playful smile.

I looked between the 3 of them then locked my phone to place it to the side so they could continue playing the movie. As much as I tried to forget about Lando, the thought of him and that girl hanging out tonight kept crossing my mind. Ughhh.

It was getting late, almost midnight and no sign of Lando or even Oliver that they're going to pick up the girls. After the movie was over we decided to make some pancakes since we didn't know what else to eat at this hour. I decided to make the batter and the girls were going to toast them so it would be faster.

Half way through making the batter I get a phone call and it's from none other than Lando. "Oh would you look at that" I said as I glanced at my phone screen. "Oooooh" the girls cooed. I rolled my eyes and shook my head at them. "Could one of you answer instead because I'm busy" I said. Flo answered the call with a grin, "Hellooo" she said.

She then looked at me, "She's busy at the moment" she smiled. He's asking about me I assume. "You wanna talk to her ?" she asked playfully. Oh gosh. "Okay hold on" she smiled as she then handed the phone to me. "He wants to talk to you" she whispered. I stiffened as I stopped whisking and took the phone from her hand.

The 3 of them watching intently. "Hello ?" I answered. "Hey, you busy ?" He asked. "Well I was in the middle of making pancakes but you clearly have something important to say" I said sarcastically which made the girls laugh. "Uhm yeah, I know it's late but I'm on my way to pick up the girls. I'm just leaving from here so I'll be there in a few" he said. "Are you sure it's safe ? They can stay over, I don't mind" I suggested. "Nope it's fine. Give me 10 minutes" he said. "Drive safely please, speeding your way here is not worth it" I said. "I will. See you in a bit" he said lastly. "Okay byeee" I said before ending the call.

"Y'all sound like a couple already" Ciska said. "You guys need to stop" I said as I couldn't help but crack a smile and finished off making the batter. It luckily didn't take us that long after to toast the pancakes and cover them with Nutella, and some fruit as well. As we were eating we heard the rev of his car outside. "Looks like he's here" I said blandly. "That's our call" Flo said as she and Ciska got up. They both hugged me and (Y/F/N) before waving us off. "Thank you for an amazing time" Flo smiled. "Anytime" I smiled back. "Why don't you come out ?" Ciska suggested playfully. "Nah I'm fine here thanks" I giggled, I know what they're up to. "Byeee !" They yelled on their way out.

Lando's P.O.V

I was a bit upset to only see the girls come out and no sign of (Y/N). "Where's (Y/N) ?" I asked as I rolled the window down. "Inside" Ciska said. "Is she not coming out ?" I questioned. "She's upset with you so she rather stay inside" Flo said. "What did I do ?" I asked shocked. "Why did you have to post that girl on your story because now she thinks you're not interested in her you fool" Ciska shook her head as she got inside the car. "You've got to be joking" I said stunned. "You should've seen her face, poor thing thought that friend of yours is our future sister-in-law" Flo said as she pouted. "Oh my god. Shit" I said as I held my head in my hands.

"So much for trying to make things work with her this weekend" Ciska said as she rolled her eyes. "Hooter and she'll come outside" Flo suggested. I did as she told me but doing it once didn't help so I hooted 2 more times. A hot and angry looking (Y/N) stepped outside, storming towards my car as she leaned against the door. "Have you lost it ? It's past 12am and you're hooting for the whole damn neighbourhood to hear you" she said. "It's an excuse to get you to come outside" I smiled. "I'm here now, what could be so important this time ?" She asked. "Uhm...do you maybe want to go out tomorrow, like an all day date" I said.

"I would love to but I'm sure you already have someone who can replace me like that girl on your story" she faked a smile and turned around to walk back into the house. "Go after her !" the girls yelled. I jumped out of the car and caught up with her just before she can go inside by grabbing a hold of her hand. "I know what you're thinking and it's nothing like that I swear. It has and always will be you. I really like you okay ? I have for a very long time, I just couldn't find the urge to tell you since I was worried you didn't feel the same" I said as I rubbed soothing circles on her hands.

"Hard to believe that when you comment and like all that girls posts, plus you just got back from a night out with not only your guy friends but girl friends as well and you didn't tell me" she said as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Are you my girlfriend that I need to tell you everything I do and everywhere I go ?" I asked to piss her off. "You know what just go away" she said as she walked away. I wrapped my arms around her as I held her from behind. "I know you feel the same since you're clearly jealous, you don't have to say it, I just like messing with you. I'll pick you up tomorrow at 11am, don't leave me hanging" I said before kissing her cheek and running off to the car. I noticed the smile on her face when I got into the car. I hooted and winked at her one last time before driving off.

Scrooge and Goldie aren’t my strong suit, but I did my best and had some fun with it! Hope you enjoy! Without further ado,

Break-ins and Lock-ins and Plot Twists, Oh my! (1288 words)

Goldie stands on the grounds of McDuck Manor one early fall morning, the sun’s light only just starting to peek over the horizon, and pulls out her phone to double check where she needs to go.

Louie had called her a few days earlier with a scheme, and asked if she’d be in town that day. She would, and plans were made to meet up early that morning and be just a little richer by the end of the day.

She didn’t quite get why Louie insisted on waiting inside, but she did always get a kick out of breaking into ol’ Scroogie’s house (as did her bank account), so she didn’t mind.

She climbs a tree which, conveniently for her, was right next to the window she was breaking into and gets into position so she could reach the window without any of the branches breaking.

Next, she starts to pry the window open with a small wedge. As she expects, it goes quite quickly, and she slips inside.

“You’d think he’d get more secure windows, as paranoid as he gets. He must just like making it easier for me!”

She scans the room for anything valuable she could snag, momentarily forgetting about Louie. As she pockets a little gold stautette she remembers why she’s here and realizes that Louie wasn’t where he said he’d be.

She whips out her phone again and begins typing to ask Louie “where the hell he was” but is interrupted when the door opens.

“Scroogie?!”

“Goldie?! What in the blazes are ye doing in me house at 5:30 in the morning?”

“Sharpie told me to be here!”

Suddenly the door slams shut behind the pair and the lock clicks.

“Yes, ‘Sharpie’ did say that, but it was-“ Louie starts to say from the other side of the door before being interrupted by Dewey.

“It was a lie! You two need to confess your feelings!”

Scrooge sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose.

“Huey, are ye there too?”

No response comes from the other side of the door other than shuffling feet and the creaking floor.

“Boys, whose idea was this?” Scrooge tries again.

The triplets all overlap with each other’s names and Scrooge and Goldie both roll their eyes.

“Ya think they got the girl in on this too?” Goldie wonders.

“Aye, Webby! They probably did, those pernicious pranksters,” Scrooge says.

Suddenly the window Goldie snuck in through clicks shut with a blue glow, and Webby and Lena float up on the other side of the window.

“Hi, Dad!” Webby exclaims, waving.

“Have fun in there, oldies!” Lena snarks before the other trio slowly falls back down to the ground.

Both adults pause momentarily before Goldie speaks up.

“First, how dare that girl call me old?! And second, who on earth is that and why is she skilled a magician?!”

“Well, she called ye old because ye are old-“

“You say as if you aren’t older.”

“We’re basically the same age an’ ye know it!”

“Whatever you say, old man.”

The petty squabble is suddenly interrupted by a chorus of Ooohs from the other side of the door.

“Boys!” Scrooge and Goldie shout in unison.

Scrooge sighs again before continuing.

“ANYways, you’ve broken into me house enough times in the last couple years to know who Lena is, I know ye have.” He adds “Unless your memory’s starting to slip,” under his breath.

“Or yours,” Goldie teases back.

Scrooge laughs, “All these years and you’re still ‘killing my vibe, man.’”

“All those years and you still let me kill it.”

Suddenly they hear a faint beep of a phone camera stopping taking video.

“Llewellyn… whatever your middle name is Duck, I swear ta all the gods I know, if ye were just recording that conversation!”

Louie and Dewey laugh and crack the door open to show them a video. Louie presses play and…

The sound plays again.

“Tricked ya!” he says, laughing again. “I didn’t- no, I don’t want- go away, ads!” Louie struggles with his phone for a moment, trying to make it stop playing ads at him and ruining his genius prank.” Ugh, finally. Anyways, I didn’t actually record anything.”

Scrooge tries to grab the door, but it closes again, just fast enough to keep him inside. | But try as he might, the door wouldn’t budge.

Scrooge grumbles and lets go of the doorknob once again, still having no luck escaping.

“Scroogie, just face it already, we can’t get out of here like that,” Goldie sighs, watching him from the center of the room. “We saw the window get magically reinforced and I can only assume the door is too. I know you wouldn’t dare to actually spend your money and buy stronger doorknobs.”

“How do you propose we get out of here then?” Scrooge asks, admitting defeat.

His choice of words sparks an idea in Goldie’s mind, and a sly, proud smile appears on her face.

“I propose that we give the kids what they want- if they hear a confession of feelings, then they’ll be happy and we can go on with our lives as though this never happened.” Goldie explains.

“Ah, okay,” Scrooge says. “Put on a little lovey-dovey act, trick the kids, and get you out of my house. Got it.”

“We’ll have to be careful to sound as genuine as possible though, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sharpie thought of us doing this,” Goldie warns.

“Bah, don’t worry about that! If anything, I can act better than ye,” Scrooge gloats, donning a flirtatious smirk- to help warm up his acting, of course.

“Sure you can,” Goldie teases back. “Now, remind me which one of us had to pretend to flirt with Rockerduck back in Gumption?”

“Ah could’ve done that just as well as you if it would’ve worked, an’ ye know it!”

“Whatever helps you sleep at night.”

“Our escapades havenae a bit of sway over my slee-“

Suddenly, the door creaks open, stopping the pair’s squabble in its tracks.

“I felt guilty about helping to basically hold you guys hostage, so I waited for Dewey and Louie to leave and convinced Lena she could leave the door unenforced,” Huey begins to anxiously rattle off. “Also being stuck in an empty room is not the optimal condition for love confessions, it doesn’t meet hardly any of the JWG’s criteria- uh, but anyways, you guys can go.”

The adults stare blankly at Huey for a moment, processing the boy’s fast-paced speech before coming back to their senses.

“Eh, thank ye, Huey,” Scrooge replies. Then he turns to Goldie.

“Ye can leave me house now,” he says, gesturing to the nearest exit.

Goldie briefly follows Scrooge’s direction before turning into the next room and breaking the lock on that window. As she begins to climb out and into the same tree she entered with, she exclaims, “Bye, Scroogie! See you around!”

Scrooge rolls his eyes and smiles, before replying, “If ye’d like to repay me for the broken window locks, ye could return that statuette yer tryin’ ta steal.”

“Agh, I almost got away with it!” She groans as she hands the bauble over.

“Ye try to steal something every time ye visit, Ah knew there had ta be somethin’,” Scrooge retorts. A moment of silence passes before Scrooge sighs and says “Bye, Goldie.”

“Bye, Scroogie.”

They kiss just before Goldie jumps and Scrooge turns to leave, neither realizing they had unintentionally given the kids exactly what they had wanted out of this whole situation until several minutes later.

Helloo! Ur Addams family AU illustration is AMAZING I LOVE IT, i was drawn to ur page instantly. Jst wanted to ask fr ur take on Goldie and Scrooge in this AU (im a sucker fr the 2 oldies) - will we get any Gomez & Morticia vibes from those 2? I doubt DT17 Goldie can stay put though

Goldie, Goldie, Goldie. I've been ruminating on her for a while.

Because in a lot of ways the relationship is unchanged in the addams au. We've already seen Goldie and Scrooge dance together under the duress of romantic tension so taut they may as well have been attached by steel cables. We've already seen Goldie and Scrooge walk suggestive circles around the elephant that is a tumultuous past charged with the fiery heat of molten gold. (literally. for both the elephant and the molten gol- you know what I mean)

Addams AU Goldie is much similar to Scrooge and the rest of the cast in that, foundationally and fundamentally, she's the same character. I'm tempted to have her be like Launchpad, and just stick canon Goldie in there with the AU crazies and just see how she adapts.

But that would mean missing out on some real BAMF Goldie action so. Nah. Nah let's lean in to the AU here.

Goldie O'Gilt in the Addams AU is a dark temptress. She loves the gold, the chase and the high stakes more than ever. But she also loves to make Scrooge squirm - Torturing him every now and then with a sudden reappearance and robbing him of something expensive he was JUST about to get his hands on, teasing him mercilessly (maybe spiriting him away to run suggestive circles around each other, steal a sinful kiss or two perhaps) before leaving him high, dry and waxing beautiful curses upon her name.

They're more than Batman and Catwoman, they're the bloodhound and the vixen. They don't quietly go their separate ways after every meeting pondering with a vague, untethered longing when they'd cross paths again. No, they are cleaved apart after every meeting. They plot and dream and terrorize themselves with the thought of meeting again, and in the meantime they bathe and wallow with great reverence in the sweet pain of being apart.

For pete's sake if the rest of the family weren't THIS family they'd be disgusted, concerned and probably collectively abandon him whenever Goldie's around. Fortunately they Are THIS family and so are really happy for him. Mostly. Dewey, Louie and Beakley still take great offense to the gross romanticism of it all.

ofc lordi has to be on the list. iconic. but the song is not really to my taste 🙈

8. 1984 - Kirka

oldie but a goldie. a very classic and fell known finnish song, and he looked so happy performing it, that makes me like it even more :D

7. 2011 - Paradise Oskar

at the time I remember being kinda bummed he performed 1st in the finale, i thought he would've gotten more points if he'd had a better spot :( i liked it then and thought it deserved better

6. 1987 - Virve Rosti

for some reason i absolutely LOVED her music as a child. and she's got pipes man. this song is an absolute classic too

idk i think this song sounds nice

I'm a bad finn I don't really like heavy metal but this song slaps!! hevillä ei hävitä! vaikka tällä hävittiin

do I even have to say anything. back then I thought their ranking would be the best Finland would be getting for a while...

this song never fails to make me laugh so for that in my heart it's a winner (it got 0 points)

Rainbow Connection by Kermit: also self explanatory. and a bop. AND about rainbows. what more could you want?

Bangkok/One Night in Bangkok by Murray Head (Original Chess Recording version): 1) a banger. 2) from a whole musical written by the Bs of ABBA 3) Steve likes to listen to musical while vacuuming his pool :) 4) queer vibes. "the queens we use would not excite you" "i get my kicks above the waistline, sunshine" also to note they DID probably shave off the first minute of instrumental, but not all of it. I used this version and not the radio edit because in my heart of hearts I believe Steve picked up the Chess concept album in the fall of 1984, vibed with it, (I've answered an ask about stobin and the musical chess where I talk more) and that's the version he has.

Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy by Queen: tbh always sounded gay to me, and it's such a fun song, I think they'd vibe with it and agreed it's a silly little nod to steve's previous rep.

Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard by Paul Simon: GAY GAY VERY GAY SONG "it's against the law...what their mama saw/it was against the law" HMM also it's catchy and has so much potential to be an angsty queer ballad too. (also Robin's dad is 100% a Simon and Garfunkle stan that's just. a fact to me.)

I'm Coiming Out by Diana Ross: iconic song claimed by the gays. for the obvious reasons. bit on the nose but this is for THEM.

Sunshine (Go Away Today) by Jonathan Edwards: About not letting someone control your life. It's catchy and heartfelt, dreams about the future. Steve's Vecna Song for me.

You Can't Hurry Love by The Supremes: stobin are losers in the love department, and it's a great and hopeful song about not rushing into things. The Supremes Version because Robin is influenced by her former Hippie parents, and Steve by his Aunt Evelyn and her love of 50's and 60's music. They have appreciation for the Oldie Goldies.

Lady Marmalade by LaBelle: Disco baby. I also feel this was a song for us queer folk. maybe because I'm queer and I like it. it's great, and robin loves hearing women sing about having sex.

Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler: throwback to the first song on the mixtape Steve gave Robin at the very beginning! now with the Upside Down between them it means more too. it's also SO FUN to belt in the car. frantic and with a good beat. I don't think I need to justify this one haha

Believe it or Not (theme from Greatest American Hero) by Joey Scarbury: Robin LOVES this stupid show about a cringe fail teacher with his cringe fail life getting a super suit from aliens and then losing the instruction manual. It just feels like a show she'd like even though it's so silly. The theme song is actually great tho. I think it'd really tickle the part of Robin that feels overly average and a bit trapped in Hawkins, but feels those confines lessen when she's with Steve and getting to feel like there's more out there for her. Personally, I first heard it on cassette of top 100 tv themes (along with MASH, Law and Order, Hawaii Five-oh, Andy Griffith etc) sitting in a booster seat in the front seat of my family's motor home on a long summer road trip in the early 2000's, as my dad drove and told me what show each song was from. (Steve buddy I understand your dream so much ok. There's nothing quite like being a kid and going on a roadtrip with your family. magical.)

You're My Best Friend by Queen: Love song for your best friend me thinks yes :)

Stuck With You by Huey Lewis and the News: the only anachronistic song on the playlist, but I couldn't NOT put it on. lavender marriage stobin REAL. They're stuck with each other :) also look at Steve. He is a guy who listens to Huey Lewis. We know this. He heard this song a year before it came out and was like robin :') it's us....I'm stuck with you...I'm so Happy about it :))

Stoned Soul Picnic by The 5th Dimension: Robin's parents are former hippies. This song is fantastic. Pure vibes. Steve and Robin are going to get rescue cats that are bonded together and name them Sassafras and Moonshine for this song.

Steve's a pianist and tbh he loves billy joel. who doesn't. it was between this one and piano man i guess, tho i love many Billy Joel songs that are "deeper cuts" ha. and "I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints/the sinners are much more fun" line is like. what are they gonna do. not be an emotional queer teen about it?

Raspberry Beret by Prince: it's catchy, and whilst originally I had put La La Love You By Don McLean here, I like this one better. Robin is definitely a Prince fan. and a beret fan. happy coincidink. and its a fun song! about loosing your virginity to a hot girl in a barn!

Indiana Wants Me by R. Dean Taylor: okay originally I'll admit I put this on the masterplaylist because. obviously post-s4 Eddie running away angst song even if it's more folk-rock than metal. I think Steve and Robin would listen to it and really vibe with wanting to go home but not being able to. even if it's not literally. also they live in Indiana and like. you've gotta respect a song about where you live. ALSO the cop sounds in it. so good.

Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen: a song? about being disillusioned with the American dream after seeing the institutional failures of the government??? very Steve. the whole album is great, and I know I've reblogged a post about Steve and the album (My Hometown hits different). It's angry, frustrated, passionate. Being queer in a small town where the government covers up it's human experimentation and alternate dimensions probably makes you feel a lot of things. All with the veneer of Americana.

Where Do You Go To (My Lovely) by Peter Starstedt: purely self indulgent of me. I adore this song. I think Steve heard it, and thought of Robin. The remembering, the deep knowledge of another person, the longing. When he told Robin that it's a song he always associates with her she tears up a bit, because it's so tender and loving, and a bit silly. Like. Steve knows she'll be amazing and can't comprehend anyone not seeing it. It's sooo tender.

Thank You for Being a Friend by Andrew Gold: Golden Girls didn't air their first episode until fall 1985, and obviously when it does Stobin are loyal viewers, (Steve is in love with Bea Arthur. as is right) but this song came out in the 70's. It's fun and cute and catchy! They love each other and are so, incomprehensibly grateful that they found each other.

Crazy Diamond is just a tad much. his colors are ok, the hearts coordinating w Josuke’s design are cute. but then there’s the plating, the helmet, the tubes(??), and he even suffers from jjba Codpiece Syndrome. it’s all a bit much and doesn’t quite fit. in some of the anime promo art they gave him a sparkly diamond texture, but besides that i don’t care for him all that much.

6: Star Platinum

using the DiU palette bc of all the Star Platinum colors it’s the best. the pastels are cute and make for a fun contrast w the big muscles

an oldie but a goldie. bc Araki hadn’t gotten his footing w stand designs yet Splat looks more unique in retrospect. hair and clothing, capable of facial expressions, a tasteful loincloth as opposed to Another Fucking Codpiece.

i also think it’s cute how artists like to draw him w starry hair :>

5: Gold Experience Requiem

GER? this guy fucks. there’s simply no other way to put it. he fucks so hard. unfortunately points have to be redacted for that dead eyed stare and unmoving grimace. GER could be so much higher if he didn’t have such an awful baked in expression and this will become an unfortunate running theme. maybe if GER had more screen time that could be mitigated, but alas...

4: Stone Free

one of the few female stands, which sucks bc Araki goes off w girl stands. just look at her. the blue accented by gray, the radical bright green sunglasses, the sexy hints at her string powers, she even complements Jolyne nicely if stand/user synergy is needed. she’d probably be higher up if we saw more of her bc Araki prefers to show off her powers via having Jolyne psychically unravel which is fun! but does mean this beauty didn’t get enough time to shine 😔 not sure how i feel abt the bumpy texture as well. makes things a bit busy

3: Tusk Act 4

finally!! after 3 shit stands Tusk strikes gold in the final hour. its weird, its pink, its got (jo)stars its a cowboy, what more could you want??

more screen time goddamn it!! Tusk Act 4 gets like 2 and a half physical appearances across 2 parts. Araki wtf man. Tusk Act 4 just fucks so hard tho so it’s gotta be top 3

2: Soft & Wet

YEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEA!!! NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL A FUCKABLE STAND! Soft & Wet is the platonic ideal of a MC stand. fun mechanical parts, cute little face, the Stand Tubes finally serve an aesthetic purpose and aren’t just awkwardly tacked on. he also has such pleasing colors and silhouette. i love him so much and he’s easily one of the best, cutest, most sexy stands in all of jjba

the spirit of exploration: chaddick/ravan, set during AWWP. have you noticed that these are all ever/never. well now you have. as i said in my notes "it is quite possible the everboys had 'college girl phases' during awwp and thats the basis of the whole fic". yeah.

white heart (made it red): THE FIRST ANADIL/AGATHA FIC, written for meg <3 an au, anadil character study, and anadil and agatha exploration. these two are actually so very very interesting and writing them was very fun. give me that anadil character baby

chivalry is on fire: post tlea, chaddick ravan beatrix and reena focused. gives the students a bit more depth, they play pranks and reminsce and make promises. good stuff, i love all four of them.

Rhodonite and Obsidian: I legitimately still think to this day this is one of the best things I've ever written. keian multi-chapter fic, in which I dive into Kei, his family, his relationship with Rhian, and his fate. you guys miss kate pumpkinpaperweight has this bookmarked. If that's not an assurance of quality, i don't know what is.

✫ - Unpopular headcanon I have about them

Brax: He raised the rest of the Doctor’s children, with Romana’s help, after The Doctor had to escape with Susan because of the Burn Edict. The kids call them mom and dad; sadly The Doctor’s children passed away during the first skirmishes of the Time War. This one is very personal, and niche to myself only tbh.

Benny: Her and Brax have matching ‘Best’ ‘Friends’ tattoos that they got during a drunken night out. They keep saying they’ll have them removed but secretly they love them. Benny is a drag king in her spare time, she has a double act with Brax who is a drag queen.

⇈ - A dream I had about them

Brax: I was in this large art studio, painting something… can’t remember what exactly. He walked in at one point and sat on one of the reading nooks in the windows to read his book. I incorporated him into the painting. Very fluffy dream tbh, woke up feeling stupidly smitten that day *self bonk*

Benny: I always have dreams of being Benny’s co-worker at The Collection, but where she is part of the Archaeology Department I’m part of the Art History department. We hang out to work together and go out drinking.

➷ - A potential fanfiction idea I have considered writing about with them involved

Brax: Richardson!Brax has his timeline collided with a Pike!Brax (my fancast of a fem!Brax is Rosamund Pike). Since they are both little time dwellers who can’t stay in their own timeline it was bound to happen eventually. They’re both stuck with each other and have to help the other find their way back.

Benny: Benny and an archaeologist girlfriend she had for years while she was on the run and pretending to be a professor herself. Eventually they part ways because there is more to the lover than we know/she lets on.

☄ - What type of weather and season I associate them with

Brax: Rainy days on the cusp of the change between Autumn and Winter. Snowy midwinter days to stay inside.

Benny: Windy Autumn days when the air is cold and the leaves are falling. Fresh spring days, to go outside and read with the blooming flowers.

☻ - How they make me feel

Brax: Validated. I relate too much to him, on a deep, personal and almost spiritual level. I don’t think I’ve ever seen myself more in a character than in him. It’s actually because of Brax that I have been inspired to leave my career in law and politics behind. I'm starting my second degree in August; this time around in Art History, my true passion since I’ve been a kid. So this way I can eventually open up my own gallery/collection, or work as a curator in an art museum. Not to get narcissistic here, but he also makes me feel very smitten.

Benny: Warm and fuzzy. She brings an overwhelming sense of “I must protect her” and “I want to be her best friend” into my life. She is the scholar, adventurer and badass I’ve always wanted to be. If I live my life a little more fearlessly it’s because of asking myself ‘WWBD?’ and then do the exact opposite because Benny would probably just try to drink the problem away.

╬ - What I think their moral alignment is

Brax: Depends on the Brax tbh, but I mostly place him in Lawful Evil and Chaotic Good.

Benny: Lawful Good or Neutral Good. Chaotic Stupid as well.
