Thinking about baby daddy!Miguel O’Hara that starts to invite you over to do activities more often during his weeks with Gabriella, saying it would be good to show your daughter that you both still had a good relationship with each other. Which struck you as odd since you two genuinely have always gotten along anyways but you decided to ignore it and brush it off.
Baby Daddy!Miguel who invites you over to his place on a hot summer day, saying that he’s having a pool party with a bunch of your friends. Insisting you bring the guy you’ve been talking to so he can finally meet him and totally doesn’t want him there to prove to him that he’s not worth your time.
Baby Daddy!Miguel who can’t keep his eyes off you when you come out to the backyard after having changed into his favorite a bikini, asking Mj to help you apply sunscreen on your back. Wishing it was his hands rubbing it into your skin instead.
Baby Daddy!Miguel who rolled his eyes when your not-boyfriend-but-more-then-a-talking-stage guy finally arrived over three hours late with the wrong type of beer, seeing him come in with a pack of Bud Light when Miguel was strictly a Modelo man. “Accidentally” squeezing his hand a bit too tight when he shakes it.
Baby Daddy!Miguel who made sure to keep telling stories about you two from your time together, not sparing any details as he and all the guys/dads gathered around the grill while Miguel turned over the carne asada y Pollo asado he was grilling. Not even caring about the looks your new boy toy would throw at him. His best friend Peter and his brother Gabriel both shooting each other a knowing look.
Baby Daddy!Miguel who took the aux from Peter and switched the music over to his spanish playlist, totally not on purpose starting off with the song Que Malo from Bad Bunny, then immediately after the playlist start to play Eres Mía from Romeo Santos, you didn’t even have time to think about the song choices before Miguel dragged you over to dance per your daughter’s request.
“I’m sorry Peter, but if I have to hear you play it wasn’t me from shaggy again, I’ll lose it.” Miguel exasperated as he unplugged his friend's phone mid song, earning a protest from Peter, but Miguel just shook his head as he plugged his own phone. “You’ve placed that song at every function since we were 18.”
You couldn’t help but let out a small squeal of excitement as Bad Bunny took over the backyard. Singing along to the song as you pass around another round of drinks to the guys at the grill, completely oblivious to the subliminal message that Miguel was sending you as you recited Ñengo Flows part. A new modelo in each one of the guy’s hands (well except your talking stage, he had a Bud light), it seems that your new little friend didn’t seem to understand a lick of Spanish, the message of the song completely flying over his head as he nodded along to the beat mindlessly.
Once the song ended, the new one played, Eres Mía, your brows scrunched a bit at the sudden genre changing. You were in the middle of crossing the grass lawn to where Miguel’s phone was sitting next to the speaker to change it, when you suddenly felt the small fingers of your daughter’s hand dragging you back.
“Mami! Ma! Baile con Papi! I love it when you two dance to these songs.” She begged, you usually wouldn’t mind doing so when she asked you too, but since the guy you were talking to was here, it would feel awkward if he watched you dance something as intimate as bachata with your ex. (Mommy ! Mom! Dance with dad!)
“I-I don’t know Gabi-“ You started, once you finally stopped in front of Miguel, your face filled with a bit of confusion on what to do. Miguel noticed and waved his hand as if reassuring you it’s no big deal.
“He won’t care, right bud?” He said as he nodded towards your guest, but before he could say an answer Miguel’s hands were already wrapped around the small of your back, as he started to guide you through the dance.
You just decided to go along with it, it’s not a big deal right? It’s only one dance.

‘ CHILL OUT ‘
— e42! miles morales x black! fem! reader
synopsis — you see miles walking around campus with a girl you’ve never seen before and it sparks a new issue .
cw ; cheating, fluff to angst, hurt/no comfort, black! reader, reader literally doesn’t deserve this shes so sweet, watched good girls during this so i think that’s where this came from, made up characters
— ENJOY !!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you watch as your boyfriend walked into the cafeteria with a girl you’d never seen before. a mid-length honey blonde wig on her head and her nails done with french tips. you synch your eyebrows together in confusion and you turn to your friends. “who’s that with miles?” you ask, subtly pointing to her. “oh, girl! that’s the new girl, her name is jess or something, i dunno.” she says, shrugging her shoulders. “aight.” you say, shrugging your own shoulders and scrolling through instagram. miles and jess get closer to your table and that’s when you can hear their conversation.
“i love your braids! who did them?” jess asks, running the tip of her fingers over them. “awe, my girl did ‘em for me. there she go right there.” miles says, taking a seat next to you. “y/n.” miles calls your name. you look up at him and smile. “hey miles. who’s this?” you ask, looking at her features. “jess. she’s new so i just showed her around a lil.” miles explains, pulling you into his frame. “ohhh…” you say, widening your eyes and nodding your head. “well, y’know, i really need help with the spanish homework, could you help me?” you ask coyly, batting you eyelashes up at him. “‘course, chica guap.” miles replies, bending down to kiss you.
“get a room!” you hear from one of your friends, taking a video to post on her story later. you giggle and miles opens up his phone. jess looks over and seems to perk up. “you got snap?” she asks, pulling her own phone out. “oh, yeah,” miles replies, “i don’t use it like that though. i don’t talk to people like that.” the bell rings and you and miles say your goodbyes and walk to spanish. “so,” you started. “so?” miles repeats, curiosity in his voice. “where’d you meet her at?” you ask, interlocking you and miles’ pinkie fingers while you two walk down the hallway. “she came up to me while i was walking into the school, asked me to give her a tour.” miles dismissed your question, now taking the lead in you twos walk to class. “oh.” you say, searching through the sides of your backpack with one hand trying to find your lipgloss. “what’re you looking for?” miles asks, opening the door so you can walk into your spanish class. “my lipgloss..i can’t find it..” you mumble, sitting yourself down and sitting your backpack on your desk.
“chill, mami. i can buy you some more.” miles soothes you, taking the desk next to you. you sigh and pull out your notebook and pencil. you watch the front of the room, bored while the teacher talks. within the first thirty minutes of class, miles had thrown six folded up notes to you and texted you over five times. you pull your phone out as discreetly as you could and scroll through the texts.
‘she found my snap bro’
‘swear ts annoying’
‘i ain’t even talk to her like that’
‘bro she’s texting my phone foe’
‘i’m finna block her ass’
‘respond 😒’
you look over at miles and roll your eyes playfully, texting back.
‘js block her?’
miles turns to you and gives you a straight face, looking down at his phone and ignoring the ping of the snapchat notifications. this is bothering you and you don’t know why. you and miles have been dating for over eight months now and you’ve never felt like this before. is it jealousy? maybe. you doubt it though. you leave it in the back of your head just for the bell to ring again, signaling the last class of the day. you pack your stuff up and wait on miles in the doorway. “she keep on texting my phone.” mines groans, shoving his phone in his pocket.
“maybe she got a lil crush.” you snicker, feeling miles playfully bump your shoulders together. “nah. don’t need no crushes, already got my girl.” miles grins, pulling you in for a hug then having to pull away almost immediately. “see you at my dorm?” you ask, walking slower than before. “yep.” and with that, you two parted your ways until 2:30. you and some of your friends meet in the hall and make your way to your classes. you were taking your time walking to class, until your friend brought up a topic. a sensitive one.
“y’know, it’s be funny if miles were cheating on you with that jess girl.” she laughed while everyone else went quiet. “what?” you ask, looking around confused. “it was a joke, damn. if you were in a loyal relationship you wouldn’t get so mad.” she clapped back almost immediately, as if she was waiting to say it for a while now. “what are you talking about? i am in a loyal relationship.” you argue, pulling your phone out to text miles. “little do you know.” she replies in a sarcastic tone. your purse your lips together and turn around, making your way to the bathrooms.
“you didn’t have to do allat.” another one of your friends said, sympathy laced in her voice like she was just confronted with her own boyfriend cheating. you made it to the bathroom and opened a stall, sitting on the toilet seat. you open your phone and text miles.
‘so that’s wtf we doing now?’
you sit and wait for a response, getting one almost immediately.
‘wym??’
‘i mean you cheating on me’
‘who told you ts?’
you sigh and start to feel tears well into your eyes. you loved him so so so much, you met his parents, you ate dinner at his house, you’ve spent the night, you’ve watched him cry, bleed — everything under the sun and this is how he repaid you.
‘you don’t need to know all that. we’re done bro. don’t come by my house, don’t call my phone, don’t call my momma phone, give me back my house keys, and delete my number.’
miles fucked up, and he knew it.

(Y/N) follows miles body as he talks to one of his classmates. A girl who seems nice, but a little to close for comfort.
The girl finally leaves bidding miles a goodbye while giddily leaving the classroom.
Miles walks back to his seat getting ready to pack his bag, noticing the mood change in his gf.
“You good ma?”
“Mhm”
(Y/N) gets up from her seat and heading to the door, miles takes this as a sign to hurry up, while hastily walking behind his girl, inevitably tripping on his laces. (Y/N) stifled a laugh before waiting for her lover.
Miles quickly gets up playing it off luckily it was only them two in the hallway, catching up to (Y/N).
————————————
The next day in the cafeteria miles gets called over by one of his frds, quickly bringing him to the group that consisted of 3 girls 4 boys. Only chilling with them for moments till (Y/N) came down from her previous class
Miles catches (Y/N) and calls her over. She scans the table, taking notes of the mutual connection sat at the table.
“Edna you met someone new??” Miles asks taking a bite from his tray
“Idk he kinda weird, wish he were more like Jason or even you” she pouts
Miles laughs it off while (Y/N) pinches him under the table signaling she didn’t like that.
————————————
Miles was now at Strike 3.
After class he told (Y/N) to wait with his things as she watched him stop a girl and give her something. While quickly going back to his now fuming girlfriend.
(Y/N) shoves his things into his chest while storming out of the school complex on her way to her dorm.
“Estoy halta, no puedo mas” (Y/N) murmures as she struggles with her keys, entering the complex looking for signs of her roommate. Seems that they left with food already prepared.
(Y/N) takes the plate of food to her room setting her bag down at her desk while turning on the TV.
As she stress eating, her phone buzzes with all too familiar notification
Miles<3: yo ma?? Que te pasa?
Miles<3: you can talk to me, lo que sea
Leaving miles on delivered she shuts off her phone, 15 minutes pass as she hear the front door.
(Y/N) stays put as she assumes it’s her roommate coming back from whatever it was deciding to thank them for the food later.
“Don’t go ignoring me mami.” Miles says sternly while standing at the door frame.
(Y/N) looks at him gives him the plate to take back to the kitchen and continues watching her show
Miles puts the plate down on the table next to her bed and sit down next her on the bed reaching to caress her cheek
(Y/N) avoids his touch, leaving miles offended in a way
“Dime, que te pasa?”
“Nothing go talk to your other hoes”
Miles is dumbfounded as he blankly stares at (Y/N)
“Hoes? Quit playing ma, you know I only got eyes fo you”
“That’s not what the last three days have been showing”
“What you talm bout”
“For last 3 days you been up In girls faces, ion wanna hear no bum ass excuse gomf thank you.”
“Ma.. those are friends, I’ll gladly cut them off for yo-“
“Do me one better”
“Aiii.. fine”
Miles says as he takes his position next you on the bed, he takes out his phone and hits record on (preferred app)
Grabbing your face he pulls (Y/N) into a deep kiss, shortly breaking the kiss to press one to your temple, making sure it was all recorded
Shortly after he pressed post on the corner of his phone screen.
“I did you one better ma you forgive me??”
“I guess” (Y/N) roles her eyes slapping his chest playfully
“You know I love you ma, I would kiss you in front of every girl you think that wants me.”
(Y/N) giggles snuggling up to him for warmth
——————————————————————
Bonus:
3 days later*
“You remember how you said you would kiss me in front of every girl I think that wants you?”
“Yea..”
“So does that include your hair braider”
“Including my braider, ma. I meant it” he laughs pressing a kiss to your forehead”

Javier’s cell phone only rang for four reasons: his dad was calling, you were calling, it was one of the Murphys; Steve for their regularly scheduled Thursday chat, or Olivia wanting to talk to her tío and sometimes needing help with her Spanish homework. Last, and the phone calls he always ignored outside of business hours, were from his office.
The first time your boyfriend took a call while he was with you, you’d barely been dating a week.
While the two of you were cuddling on the couch on a Monday, watching some movie you couldn't even remember the name of because your brain at the time was focusing on getting naked instead of actually watching it, his phone on the coffee table in front of you started ringing. He apologized when he picked it up to check the caller ID and apologized again when he told you he had to answer it since it was his niece and got up from the couch.
It should’ve been an endearing moment, but your confusion had overshadowed it because you knew he had no siblings. You could admit it was pretty cute overhearing him in the kitchen talking to her in the sweetest voice he clearly saved for children, asking about how her summer was going.
After he hung up and returned to you, he’d explained: she was his best friend, Steve’s daughter, and he was her godfather, a role he took very seriously by being the best uncle to her and her younger brothers.
That was many months ago, and with today being Friday and Javi’s phone ringing on his bedside table in your shared bedroom, you had a feeling it was Olivia since he talked to his dad on his way home—the problem, though: your boyfriend was in the shower.
This seemed like an order-in kind of night, with it being the end of the week and you both wanting to relax. You’d just set the bag of Chinese food on the coffee table when you heard his phone going off. In less than thirty seconds, you had it in hand, the caller ID reading ‘Murphys,’ which was their landline, and confirmed your suspicion. Stepping inside the bathroom, the sounds of water roaring and splashing in the shower stall and the overhead fan humming greeted you; the large mirror over the sink was fogged up, steam permeating the air.
“Babe?” you said loud enough for him to hear.
The frosted glass door rolled open enough for Javi to stick out his head, his hair lathered in shampoo.
“Yeah?”
“Olivia’s calling.” You held up the ringing phone.
“Can you answer it and tell her I’ll call her back later?”
Now, Steve and his family were well aware of who you were, and you knew all about them, but you’ve never spoken to any of them. So this request had a nervous flutter erupting in your belly.
“Yeah,” you answered. “I can do that.”
A swoon-worthy smile appeared on his face. “Thanks, mi amor (my love).”
Immediately, you clicked the answer button, putting the phone up to your ear as you said, “Javi’s phone,” before making your way back into the bedroom and shutting the bathroom door behind you.
“You’re not Javi…” said a deep male voice that had your eyes going wide.
“You’re not Olivia…”
There was amusement in his tone, not expecting the smooth southern drawl. “No, I’m not. I’m her father, Steve Murphy, and you must be the woman my best friend is madly in love with.”
With a smile, you replied, “That’s me,” and introduced yourself.
“It’s nice to finally meet you—well, talk to you, at least. I gotta say I don’t think I’ve ever seen Javi this happy in all the time I’ve known him. You’ve been real good for him, and I’m glad he finally found someone who can put up with his grumpy ass.”
Warmth spread through your chest, his last comment making you giggle.
“You wanna know a secret?” you whispered.
“Yeah?”
“When he’s with me, he’s not grumpy. He smiles a lot and laughs. He’s really adorable, to be honest.”
“I don’t know if I’d call him adorable, but he’s like that with my kids, too.”
“Oh, Javi with kids is my kryptonite—he’s so good with them.”
“Let me tell you, when I came home to Miami after getting Escobar, he stayed with us for a while, and it shocked me how good he was with Olivia.” That didn’t surprise you. He’d grown up with practically all his cousins being younger than him, and he has a lot of them. “I don’t know if he told you, but not too long after he quit the DEA, he lived with us for a bit ‘cause he was having a hard time being in Laredo—from what I understand, there are some people there who aren’t too kind to him.”
“That’s an understatement, but yes.”
Javi staying in Miami for a time was something you were aware of.
Being back in Laredo had been hard for him, like Steve said, and he was known to run from his problems, so he went and lived with the Murphys for almost a year in their guest room. Then, one day, his dad called and told him not to worry, but doctors were running some tests after finding a mass on his liver that could possibly be cancerous. Javier’s mother, Antonia, died from breast cancer that wasn’t caught in time, so when he got off the phone, he packed his bags and was on the first flight home.
It was the kick in his ass he needed to realize his dad was all he had left and was worth braving his hometown. Chucho’s mass was benign, and Javi annoyed the fuck out of him his first month back by being a mother hen and fussing over him nonstop.
“Well,” Steve continued, “he came and lived with us and was a huge help with Olivia and Stevie. He was a natural with them—they love Javi more than their actual uncles.”
A grin was on your face, loving to hear that he’d done so well helping them with their children. “And he loves them like they’re his biological niece and nephews.”
“He really does.” There was fondness in his tone. “You know, when we were in Colombia, all the guys we worked with thought he was a giant asshole since he didn’t put up with their shit—I was his partner, and I thought he was a giant asshole, but all the women in the office seemed to love him because he was sweet to them. Your man only lightens up for women and children ‘cause I sure as hell did not have a partner who smiled and laughed a lot. Like, I’m looking at this holiday card y’all sent, and I barely recognize him with that big ‘ol grin.”
The holiday cards had been your idea.
Chucho did the photo shoot, and the picture you both chose had Javi and you in matching outfits of red sweaters and jeans, with him holding you from behind as you both smiled at the camera. Daphne and Velma, the seven-month-old calves you lovingly called your bovine children, were on either side of you wearing fake antlers, all of you in front of the red wooden barn, the bottom of the card reading, ‘Happy holidays from us to you,’ typed in a fancy script.
It was very cute.
It delighted you people were finally getting them, now wondering when you’d get that disapproving call from your mother. You knew it was looming on the horizon when your parents finally got theirs.
“It’s nice, though, right?” You chewed on your lip.
“Oh, it’s more than nice—it’s fuckin’ great! That man has been to hell and back, and it’s about damn time he finally gets to be happy and relax for once. Which reminds me why I called—were you guys able to get that time off next week?”
The two of you hoped to go to Miami the following week; there were just some issues with you getting days off.
“Yes! Javi was going to call you tonight. We can do Thursday through Saturday, but we need to be home Sunday for his birthday because we’re celebrating with his dad.”
“That’s fine! We’re just happy you can come! Excuse me, ma’am, Connie just came in the room and has a question for me,” It sounded like Steve covered the phone, hearing his muffled voice say, “Yes, baby, they’re coming… Thursday through Saturday, they need to be home for Javi’s birthday Sunday… It’s not Javi, it’s his girlfriend… She’s great… You know Javi, he doesn’t want a fuc-flipping birthday party… Fine, I’ll ask her.” Now you could hear him clearly. “My apologies, ma’am. My wife wants to know if you’d like us to throw Javi a birthday party?”
“Oh, you guys are already letting us stay with you. I couldn’t ask you to throw a party.”
“Okay.” He spoke to his wife. “She says that’d be too much since they’re staying with us.”
Noise sounded over the line like the phone was being passed, followed by a woman’s voice now speaking, “Hi, is this Javi’s girlfriend?”
“Yes,” you replied, giving her your name. “Is this Connie?” A baby was babbling in the background, and you thought she might be holding their youngest child.
“It is! It’s so nice to meet you! I can’t wait for you to visit next week.”
“I can’t wait either! I’ve heard so much about all of you, and I’m excited.”
“We’re just as excited! Now, it’d be no problem throwing Javi a little party, and the kids would love to celebrate with him. I mean, they love any excuse to eat cake.”
Giggling, you replied, “Well, we can’t deny the kids cake. If you insist, I’m sure Javi would be touched by the gesture.”
“Great! We’re going to have such a wonderful time. Javi’s told us how much you love the beach, so we’ll have to spend a day there, and I need to go grocery shopping. Is there anything you want to eat while here?”
You were hoping to go to the beach, and happy she mentioned it.
“I can’t think of anything. I’m not picky.”
“If you think of something, just give me a call. We want you to have a great trip.”
“I know it’s going to be amazing,” you said truthfully.
“I hope so! Okay, Steve wants the phone back. Nice to meet you, bye!”
“Nice meeting you, too!”
“It’s me again.” Steve was back on. “Are you guys going to need a ride from the airport?”
The bathroom door opened, and you looked over your shoulder to see Javi coming out in just a white towel wrapped around his waist, his hair blow-dried and styled.
“I don’t know…?” you distractedly answered. With you going on the trip soon, you had been refraining from sucking marks into his skin to avoid any awkward conversations with the Murphy kids. Still, there were fading hickies your eyes took in as they moved down his torso to the tantalizing trail of hair that disappeared beneath the cotton.
Tumblr media
With the fan on in the bathroom, he could hear Cielito on the phone; however, he was unable to make out anything she was saying, thinking she might be talking to Robyn or one of his family members. He walked into the room, and she looked over her shoulder at him, his chest puffing out a little at how she was checking him out.
“Who are you talking to?” he whispered.
Her gaze snapped up to meet his. “Steve,” she answered just as quietly.
That had him taken aback since he was pretty sure his best friend and wif-girlfriend had never spoken before. Was it Steve who called and not Olivia? Has she been on the phone with him this entire time?
What were they talking about?
“What does he want?” Javier asked.
“I’m sorry, Steve,” she said to the other man. “Javi’s here, so give me a sec.” She turned in place to face him, covering the speaker. “He called to find out if we could visit next week—which I told him yes, but he just asked if we’ll need a ride from the airport, and I don’t know the answer.”
Immediately, he held out his hand.
She uncovered the phone, talking to his friend again, “Steve, Javi wants to talk to you.” A big smile was on her face. “It was nice talking to you, too… Oh goodness, that’s so sweet… He makes me happy, too. Like super happy.” She shielded her mouth so Javier couldn’t see it, her eyes locked on his, while she whispered in a conspiratorial tone, “Don’t tell him I said this, but he’s an amazing boyfriend and so goddamn dreamy. Literally, the best partner I’ve ever had, and I cannot wait to marry him, so he’s mine forever.” What she said made him smile, and his heart skip a beat. Steve must’ve said something funny because she laughed. “Bye, Steve.” She passed the phone to him.
“Hey,” Javier said, with the cell phone pressed to his ear.
“Hey, Jav. Your girlfriend’s great, and we can’t wait to meet her.”
After his last relationship with Lorraine, and how he missed the red flags and ignored his mother’s warnings about her, having his family love the woman standing in front of him, and now Steve also liking her, it reassured him he was making the right choice for who he was going to marry—not that he had any doubts. Javier knew for a fact she was the one he was spending the rest of his life with. It just made him feel great that others could see how amazing she was.
“Yeah, she’s fucking incredible.”
“You’ve got it so bad for her.” Steve chuckled. “I got your holiday card, and I couldn’t believe my fucking eyes—the way you’re smiling, the matching outfits, and the dressed-up cows—”
“Daphne and Velma,” Javier interrupted.
The girls behaved well for the photoshoot—with the help of many treats and pets. He loved how the card turned out and was beyond happy Cielito even wanted to do something like that with him. It made him think of the future and the cards featuring the additions of tiny Peñas and seeing their family grow with each holiday season—showing their friends and relatives how their family had grown. Not that he loved the idea of rubbing their happiness in her parents’ faces or anything…
“These are your—what do you call them? Your bovine children?” He’d mentioned the calves on previous calls.
“Yeah,” he answered. “The red one is Daphne, and the other is Velma.”
“Okay, I’ll admit they’re pretty cute.”
“They are. So anyway, we don’t need you to pick us up,” he said, getting back on topic. “I’m gonna rent a car like I always do.”
“Sounds good.”
He turned away from his future fiancée as he spoke a little quieter, “Did you say anything embarrassing about me?”
His question made his best friend laugh, and he frowned. “You’ve got nothing to worry about, Javi. We talked about how great you are with my kids and that you’re only nice to women and children.”
That didn’t sound too bad.
He whispered, “How’d she react about me being great with the kids?”
Steve laughed again. “Positively. A direct quote is, ‘Javi with kids is my kryptonite.’”
Javier smiled. “Good. Tell mis sobrinos (my niece and nephews) I need them to be extra cute when we visit.”
“Will do. Speaking of the kids, Connie needs my help, so I gotta go.”
“Give them all my love, and I’ll see you next week.”
“I will. Bye, you asshole.”
“Adiós, pendejo (Goodbye, asshole).” He clicked the end call button, walking over to set the phone back on his bedside table.
“You’re a dork,” she said.
Turning toward her, amusement was clear on her face.
“Why am I a dork?” he asked, taking a few steps to stand in front of her.
“Asking my reaction to how good you are with his kids.”
His hands went up to cradle her face. “He said I was great with his kids.”
“Yeah, he did, and he said you were a natural with them.” Her eyes had darkened, her fingers dipping into the top of the towel at his waist as she bit her bottom lip—she was turned on, and it made him smirk, his cock beginning to harden.
“You like that?” he asked, leaning forward until his mouth was a hair's breadth away from hers, her eyes closing. “You like that if I got you pregnant, I’d be great with our baby?”
“Yes,” she breathed.
This was the moment his brain decided to remind him he needed to book everything for their trip right away.
His eyes squeezed shut, taking a deep breath and slowly letting it out as he pressed his forehead to hers.
“I’m sorry, Cielito,” he sounded pained. “We can’t fool around right now. I’ve got shit I need to do.”
“But we were about to have really kinky sex,” she groaned.
“I’ll make it up to you after I get all our stuff booked and we eat dinner.” He sweetly kissed her. “Anything you want,” he said when he broke away, looking her in the eyes. “Anything.”
“Okay. That’s acceptable. I both love and hate that you’re a responsible adult.” She pouted. “Use my credit card and book us in business class since it’s two seats in a row. That way, we won’t have to worry about anyone sitting with us.”
He smiled. “Yeah, I didn’t want anyone sitting with us either and planned on booking business—maybe first, depending on the price.”
“Meh, stick with business.”
“Okay. Window or aisle?”
“Window.”
“Good, ‘cause I like the aisle.”
That made her grin. “It’s like we’re meant to be or something. Next, you’re gonna tell me I can have your peanuts.”
“Oh, yeah, I never eat them. I usually just have a drink.”
Whiskey on the rocks.
“We’re soulmates.”
“We are.” He agreed with a nod.
“Ugh.” She stepped away from him, and his mouth turned down, his hands falling. “You’re basically naked, and I want to jump your bones. Put on some clothes, you saucy temptress.” Her head turned, shielding her eyes with her hand.
“Saucy temptress?” he chuckled, walking so close as he passed her their arms brushed, heading toward his dresser.
“You heard me—seducing me with your manly wiles and, god, your rockin’ bod. Okay, I’m going to the living room because you are so close to getting your dick sucked.” He opened a drawer, pulling out his sweatpants. “You know,” she said, still standing in the same spot but shuffling to face him. “You’re gonna be on the phone, right?” The towel dropped to the floor as he pulled on the pants.
“Yeah,” he answered.
“So, I mean, while you’re talking, theoretically, I could suck your dick while you’re doing it.”
He sucked in a breath, his half-hard cock twitching at the thought.
“You’re the saucy temptress,” he rasped, bending down with a groan to grab his towel and moving to toss it in the nearby dirty clothes hamper. “No, mi amor (my love), that’s how I end up accidentally booking us on a flight to fucking Australia or some shit.”
“You’re no fun.” She was pouting again, looking adorable.
“But I love you.”
“I love you, too.”

The Laredo Airport wasn’t very big.
Built by the U.S. Government during World War II, it was used by the United States Air Force, then during the Cold War, it was a pilot training base. With the defense cutbacks after the Vietnam War, the military presence ended by the tail end of 1973, with commercial air service not arriving until the summer of 1975.
The commercial air service? It would take you to exotic destinations, like Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston-Intercontinental. Basically, you flew from Laredo’s tiny airport to one of the larger Texan airports and, from there, headed to your desired location.
This is how you ended up on a flight from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 8:45 AM on a Thursday morning in December.
The trip would only be three days long, so you both packed carry-ons that Javi insisted he carry, or roll, for your suitcase; he brought a leather duffle bag for himself. He safely stored the luggage in the overhead compartment, and you had seated yourself by the window and buckled in, your boyfriend beside you in the only other seat in your row.
For a comfortable flight, you wore leggings, an oversized T-shirt, and tennis shoes. Javier? The man refused to look anything but his best out in public, so he was in his usual tight-ass jeans, a white button-up with a blue patterned design, and his black leather jacket—to go to Miami, where the weather was hot and, from what you were told, humid.
The things he did in the name of being the sexiest man alive.
Your leg was bouncing, your shoulders tense, chewing on your thumb.
Warm fingers laced with those of your free hand, Javi gently squeezing it.
“You a nervous flyer?” he whispered.
Turning your head toward him, you answered, “Little bit. It’s mostly take-off and landing. Once we’re in the air, I’m fine.”
“Yeah? How can I help?”
“I don’t know. Talk to me? Are you a nervous flyer?”
A little smile was on his lips, barely shaking his head. “No. I’m used to it with all the traveling I did for work. I will say I prefer planes over helicopters, though.”
The last of the passengers were boarding, but you aren’t paying any of them mind, in your little bubble with Javi.
“Did you fly in helicopters a lot?”
“Thankfully, no. We used them mostly when we needed to go out into the jungle, which I always fucking hated.”
“The helicopter ride or the jungle?”
“Both. It’s hot in there, and the animals. I, uh, don’t like snakes…”
His answer made you smile as you replied, “That’s very Indiana Jones of you.” A thought came to you. “Oh! Would you wear a fedora if I got you one?”
His eyes squinted. “No...”
The pilot came over the speaker.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome onboard Flight AA319 with service from Dallas/Fort Worth to Miami. We are currently second in line for take-off and should be in the air in approximately ten minutes. We ask that you please fasten your seatbelts at this time and secure all baggage underneath your seat or in the overhead compartments. We also ask that your seats and table trays are in the upright position for take-off. Please turn off all personal electronic devices, including laptops and cell phones. Smoking is prohibited for the duration of the flight. Thank you for flying American Airlines. We hope you enjoy your flight.”
You frowned at Javi, going back to your conversation. “But you’ve got the leather jacket—” You patted it over his pec. “—and the button up, that we can sluttily unbutton to show some skin, and we’ll get you a pair of khaki pants.”
His eyes remained narrowed. “Why do you always want me to dress up as characters played by that guy—what’s his name? Harry Ford?”
“Harrison Ford, and it’s not my fault he’s played some iconic characters that you’d look hot dressed up as—don’t lie to me and say you wouldn’t enjoy dressing up as Han Solo. You think he’s the coolest guy.”
He was frowning now. “Han’s okay, but Boba Fett’s cooler.” He shrugged.
Your eyebrow rose. “Do you want me to get you some Boba Fett armor so you can pretend to be a space bounty hunter, and we can make it horny and have you hunt me down?”
The wheels were turning in his head, and he seemed to be thinking it over, which made you giggle.
“It’d be too uncomfortable,” he finally answered. “And I wouldn’t be able to see shit in the helmet. If I’m gonna dress up as a Star Wars character, I’ll stick with Han.”
“Smart man.”
Javi kept talking to you about nothing important to keep you distracted as the plane started moving, only pausing when the flight attendants went over the safety briefing.
What you didn’t expect was right before take-off, he kissed you, and not a chaste kiss but a toe-curling, forgot-how-to-think, skin-heating, breath-stealing, tongue-tangling kiss that had you so caught up in him, you didn’t even notice the plane had left the ground, or rose thousands of feet into the sky.
When you finally broke away for air, you felt dazed; your eyes had closed, panting breaths and smiling. Arousal swirled in your belly and dripped into your panties, feeling the cotton dampened and sticking to your skin.
“Still feeling nervous?” he asked, kissing your chin.
“God, no.” You replied breathily. “Feeling horny.”
A ding sounded, the light showing ‘seat belts needed to be fastened’ turning off, a flight attendant announcing, “Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned off the fasten seat belt sign, and you may now move around the cabin.”
“Javi?” Your eyes opened.
“Yes, Cielito?”
Leaning close to press your lips to his ear, you quietly asked, “Have you ever joined the mile-high club?”
He audibly gulped. “No.”
“Would you like to?” His jacket was unzipped, and you walked your fingers over the skin on his chest, revealed by the top few buttons being undone, his aviators hanging in the dip.
“Hold on.” Suddenly, his seatbelt was clicking open, and he was rising, keeping his head ducked until he was in the aisle, hastening toward the front of the plane. Watching curiously, he opened a lavatory door and went inside, coming out a minute later, a grumpy look on his perfect face as he made his way back to you and sat down beside you with a grunt.
“It’s too fucking small,” he said, turning his torso to face you. “And I think we’d get caught if we tried.” He looked so disappointed, and the news made you sigh.
“It’s good one of us is a responsible adult making the right decisions.”
Leaning closer, he whispered, “I can get a blanket from the flight attendant and finger you under it if you really want to get off while we’re flying.”
The idea caused your cunt to clench hard around nothing.
“That sounds so good, but I’d want us both to get off. Guess we’re just gonna have to fuck when we go to bed tonight, and you’ll have to keep me quiet.” Your hand rubbed along his thigh, his eyes darkening.
“I love you so fucking much,” he rasped.
“I love you, too.”
“Steve would hate us fucking in the guest room.”
“That just makes you want to do it more, doesn’t it?”
“Oh, yeah.” He smirked.
“You’re such an asshole to him,” you giggled.
“He deserves it,” he replied, closing what little distance was between you to kiss your lips.
The flight was barely three hours long, which you spent reading the small book stashed in your purse, your boyfriend beside you with his reading glasses on, his big hand holding his own book you’d kept for him.
When the flight attendant came down the aisle with the drink cart and snacks, Javi got a whiskey, while you got ginger ale and both bags of peanuts.
The books were put away when it was time to land, and he held your hand tight while the other caressed your face as he distracted you with another mind-blowing kiss—you’d never enjoyed taking off and landing so much.
Off the plane, Javi had the bags—carrying his duffle by the handles and rolling your luggage through the airport to the rental car agency. You took his bag when you got to the counter so he could fish his wallet out of his back pocket, passing the employee his driver’s license with you standing beside him.
The dark-haired man on the other side was smiling as he read the card and started inputting the information into a computer, his name tag reading Martin and beneath it, ‘Hablo Español.’
“Welcome to Miami, Mr. and Mrs. Peña!” Martin said, his words heavily accented. Your eyes rounded, Javi’s arm wrapping around your waist to pull you into him. “I hope you had a pleasant trip!”
“It wasn’t too bad,” your future husband replied. “Right, Mrs. Peña?” He was smirking when he turned his head toward you, looking beyond delighted.
“Right, Mr. Peña,” you answered with a smile, getting closer to him by hooking your arm around his middle, resting your head against his chest. “The flight was pretty great.”
“Awe,” Martin replied. “Newlyweds, no? Here on your honeymoon?” He glanced up from what he was doing.
“Something like that,” Javi responded, kissing your hair.
The conversation transitioned to business, with your boyfriend having to sign a lot of paperwork before he handed you a small stapled stack and the employee directed you where to go to get the car, which involved getting on a shuttle bus.
The sun was shining down from the clear blue sky, the temperature hot and humid, Javi having to take off his leather jacket. You were more than happy to carry it along with the papers for the car while he took care of lugging around the bags when they dropped you off at the car lot. A stop had to be made in a small, blissfully air-conditioned building to get the keys and have someone take you to where the vehicle was parked. You would think for such a short trip and the small amount of stuff you had, he would’ve rented a full-size sedan at most—nope, Javi rented an SUV, a brand new forest green ‘98 Ford Explorer, to be exact.
His aviators were on, leaving you with the bags on the ground at your feet. At the same time, he meticulously inspected the SUV’s exterior for any scratches or dings that needed to be reported so they weren’t blamed on you, rubbing his thumb over some spots.
Sometimes—well, a lot of the time when you were out in public—he had an intimidating aura about him, ‘just don’t fuck with me’ vibes wafting off of him with the grumpy expression on his face and how confidently he moved about. It came in handy when you were in crowded places because people stayed out of his way and didn’t bother you—instead of scary dog privilege, you had scary boyfriend privilege. An issue with scary boyfriend privilege: he was making the rental car agency worker extremely nervous, the poor man holding his clipboard and sweating profusely, which you didn’t think had anything to do with the weather.
He was standing by you as Javi did his thing, shorter than your boyfriend with light skin, brown hair, and if you squinted, he kind of looked like Tom Hanks in Sleepless in Seattle—same hairstyle, same forehead.
“He’s a teddy bear,” you whispered to the employee.
There was confusion on his face when he looked at you. “What?” he asked.
“Javi—” You nodded in the direction of the man, who was crouched at the passenger side door and using his thumb to see if a mark was dirt or a scratch. “—he’s a teddy bear. It’s just how his resting face looks. Watch this.” You called out to Javi, “Find anything, baby?”
“No,” he answered, grunting as he rose to stand. His hands were on his hips as he gave the side of the vehicle another look over.
“I love you,” you told him.
His head turned in your direction, giving you a beaming smile. “I love you, too, mi amor (my love).”
He looked back at the SUV, and you said quietly out of the corner of your mouth, “See.”
“I didn’t notice anything,” Javi told the employee, heading your way and wiping his hands on his jeans.
“That’s great, sir,” the worker replied. “I just need you to sign here.” He pointed at a place on the paper clipped to his clipboard with the pen he showed your boyfriend. Javi was quickly signing and taking the offered keys.
“Thank you,” your boyfriend said, shaking the other man’s hand.
“No problem. If you have any issues, just give us a call.”
“Sounds good.”
The employee went away.
The vehicle was already unlocked, so Javi walked over to the front passenger-side door. “Let me get your door, Mrs. Peña,” he said as he opened it.
It made you giggle, moving his way with his jacket and the paperwork still held in your arms and hand, avoiding the bags on the ground. “That really made your day, didn’t it?” you asked, leaning in to kiss him when you were in front of him.
“Yes, Mrs. Peña,” he murmured against your lips, feeling him smile. One of his hands was on the top of the door with the keys tucked in his palm, his other grabbing a handful of your ass.
“You’re adorable, Mr. Peña.” Breaking away, you continued, “Give me the keys so I can get the AC going.” There was a grin under his perfectly trimmed mustache as he dangled the keys in front of your face, and you maneuvered the stuff in your arms to free up a hand to grab them—he pulled them away before the tips of your fingers even touched the metal.
You glared at him when he said, “Ask nicely for them this time.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
Inhaling deeply, you let the air leave your nose in a huff. “My love, may I please have the keys so I can get the AC going?”
“Of course, baby.” He handed them to you. “I’ll take care of the bags.” Leaning in, his lips met your cheek in a loud smacking kiss, slapping your ass before he walked away.

Miami had become a home away from home for Javier. It was a place where he could relax and be surrounded by the Murphys, whom he considered family even though they didn’t share blood.
Colombia never felt like home.
He knew he wasn’t welcome down there, finding his sparse apartments cold and lifeless, the only personal touch he made in the later years being the ofrenda for his late mother. There was no relaxing in South America when each morning he woke up could’ve been his last. Sure, he had Steve and Connie for a lot of it, but they were just as stressed as he was, and more so when Olivia came about, to the point Connie just up and left, back to the States.
Colombia was never home, and at the time he was sent back to Texas after his fuck up with Los Pepes, Laredo didn’t feel like home either.
He hadn’t known where he belonged when a good portion of the people in the town where he was born and raised still judged him for something he’d done over a decade earlier, a handful even hostile toward him.
After Steve finished their work and got Pablo Escobar, he returned to Florida to his wife and kid. They invited Javier to visit and stay in their guest room for however long he needed, and he had. They wouldn’t take any money he tried to offer them, but they accepted his help around the house and caring for Olivia, who was five by then.
Then he was called back to South America, and upon returning to the U.S. after that stint, he stayed with his dad for a month before he was in Miami again, that time for about a year, where he helped out with their barely ten-month-old, Stevie, and seven-year-old Olivia.
After going back to Laredo to be with his dad, he’d take occasional weekend trips like he and Cielito were doing now to stay with the family. Those trips became less frequent when they adopted Nate—he felt it was important they all had time to bond with their new addition without him being in the way.
He spent so much time in this Florida city, he knew his way around pretty well, like how it was faster to take 874 South instead of Ronald Reagan Turnpike, and as a bonus, they’d avoid tolls.
The air conditioning was cranked high, whooshing loudly while a Spanish station played loud enough to hear. He had one hand gripping the steering wheel, the fingers of his other laced with those of the woman he was going to marry, resting on her thigh.
She was looking out at the scenery in interest as they drove.
“Why’d you get this car?” she asked, staring out her window.
“So we’d have room for the little passengers.” Bringing her hand up, he kissed the back of it.
She looked at him. “The kids are gonna want to ride with us?”
He glanced at her, resting their hands back on her leg, smiling. “Oh, yeah. At least Olivia and Stevie—Nate’s too young to care. Doing the whole car seat thing in a smaller car fucking sucks.”
“So, what I’m hearing is we will be getting something like this when the baby-making starts and my car will have to go?”
Her car was a tiny two-door Honda, and just thinking about getting a car seat in it was making his back hurt, her question also causing his chest to go tight from happiness.
His eyes were back on the road. “Sorry, baby.” He squeezed her hand. “I know you love your car. I was thinking something bigger than this.”
“True,” she replied. “We gotta have room for all those babies you’re gonna knock me up with.”
A shock of arousal shot through his belly.
He had to clear his throat, his voice a little deeper. “Yeah…”
“I can’t believe that innocent comment turned you on,” she laughed, and he frowned.
“Don’t laugh,” he grumbled, having to wiggle a tiny bit in his seat with how blood had rushed to his dick.
Immediately, she stopped but still sounded amused. “I’m sorry, babe. I know it excites you a lot.”
“Excites you a lot, too.”
“Yes, it does. So, let’s talk about something safe. How long before we’re there?”
“About fifteen minutes.”
“That’s not too bad.”
She questioned him about what they lived close to, and he answered they were near a zoo, some parks, and the ocean was a ten-minute drive.
The Murphys lived in a one-story ranch-style house with an A-shaped gable roof extending over the front porch. The stucco on the outside was painted a golden yellow with crimson trim, and the window panes were outlined in bright white.
In the driveway, Connie’s minivan and Steve’s little truck were parked. Javi pulled in behind his best friend’s rig, and not even thirty seconds later the front door was opening, hearing muffled, high-pitched squeals.
“Hey,” he said to Cielito, getting her attention. “Relax. They’re gonna love you. You have nothing to worry about.”
“Promise?”
He smiled, letting go of her hand to hold up his pinky. “I pinky promise.” That made her smile as she looped hers with his, and he leaned in to kiss her quickly.
“Okay, we better get out,” he said.
“Okay.”
Out of the vehicle, Javier walked around the front, a tiny dirty blonde toddler screaming at the top of his lungs as he ran out of the house, “Tío (Uncle)! Tío! Tío! Tío! Tíoooooo!”
It made him smile, crouching and opening his arms to catch the little boy, holding and hugging him as he stood back up. “Mi sobrino (My nephew)!” The child was securely sitting on one of his arms, looking more like his dad than the last time he saw him. “You’ve gotten so big, Stevie!” He tickled the toddler’s belly, making him laugh and squirm.
Connie came out with Nate on her hip and Steve smiling beside her.
“What are you feeding him?” Javier asked his friends. “How has he grown so much in, what, eight, nine months?”
“Kids grow fast, Javi,” Steve answered. “Nate’s already walking.”
His eyes went wide, getting a good look at the baby who’d only been six or so months the last time he was here and now was over a year old and a toddler—he was bigger, his olive-colored arms not as chubby, the black curls on top of his head longer, and eyes still as dark as he remembered.
“You’ve gotta be fuc—” The other adults gave him looks, quickly correcting himself. “—freaking kidding me. He’s walking? Already?”
“Yep,” Connie answered. “And talking. Right now, he’s tired because it’s nap time. Isn’t that right, baby?” she cooed, kissing Nate’s hair, his head resting against her shoulder and babbling.
He was stunned at how quickly they grew in so little time, feeling a ball of anxiety form in his gut, thinking about his future children and losing so much time with them because of work. Dread was heavy like a stone on his chest at the thought of missing milestones of his kid’s growth.
Fingers snapped in front of his face to get his attention, hearing his name and realizing it was Steve, Javier swallowing hard.
“What?” he asked.
His best friend’s eyebrow rose. “I asked if you were gonna be polite and introduce us to your girlfriend.”
“Oh, shi-shoot.” She was on the side with his empty arm, and he rubbed his hand up her back, smiling. “Sorry, Steve, Connie, this is the woman I’m gonna marry—” He told them her name. “—or I just call her mi Cielito, my little heaven.” He kissed her temple. “Cielito, these are my best friends, Steve, Connie, Connie’s got Nate, and—” Straightening, he looked at the child in his arms. “Hey buddy, you wanna tell her your name?” he asked gently. Stevie hid his face in Javier’s neck, and his big hand went to the back of his head while his parents laughed. “Awe, it’s okay, bud.” He rubbed over the boy’s hair. “I know she’s a new person. She’s really nice and excited to meet you, and she makes amazing cookies.”
His little head popped up. “Cookies?” his tiny voice asked.
Javier smiled. He knew that’d get him. “Yeah, she makes amazing cookies.”
“I want cookies,” Stevie replied. His attention turned to Connie. “Can we have cookies, Mommy?”
“One second, baby boy.” She walked toward Cielito to whisper something in her ear.
His girlfriend nodded her head, answering, “Sure! I can do that!”
“Is it really okay?” the other woman asked, meeting her eyes.
“Yeah!”
“Okay.” Connie looked at her eldest son. “The nice lady says she’ll make cookies with you, but you’ll have to tell her your name.”
The boy looked past Javi to excitedly shout at Cielito, “Stevie!” Reaching his little arms toward her, and it made warmth spread through him when, without missing a beat, she took the toddler from him.
“Hi, Stevie,” she said with a warm smile. “It’s nice to meet you.”
They were facing him, and Javier pointed at her. “She’s gonna be your tía (aunt), Stevie.”
The child’s eyes moved from him to her. “Tía?” he asked, shoving a finger at her chest.
“Yeah, bud, she’s your tía (aunt), and I’m your tío (uncle).”
Tiny blue eyes met his. “Tío—” His head turned to her. “—Tía.”
“Yes.” She confirmed. “And you’re Stevie.” She gently poked his chest.
“Stevie!” He clapped his hands. “We’re gonna make cookies, Tía?”
“Yes, your mom said after your nap.”
“Well, let’s head inside then, guys,” grown-up Steve announced.
“Come with me,” Connie told his girlfriend. “The men can get the bags, and I’ll put the boys down for a nap.”
“Okay,” she replied.
It made him smile how easily she went, his eyes on her back with the toddler on her hip, whispering to him, and Javier thought it looked so perfect, so right; his mind was running wild with images of what she’d look like holding their child—wishing she was holding their child. Stevie looked like a miniature version of Steve; would Javier’s child with his future wife look more like him or her? Or would they be a mix of them both? What he knew for sure was they’d be perfect, and he would love them more than anything in the goddamn world.
Fuck, he couldn’t wait to get married.
Hands landed on his shoulders from behind.
“Jesus Christ, Jav,” Steve laughed, giving him a playful shake. He got out of the hold, spinning around to see his friend’s grinning face that made him clench his jaw. “I knew you had it bad, but this is something else—you’re really in love with this girl.”
His eyebrows creased, frowning.
Steve had known about his girlfriend since their relationship began and even gave him wanted and unwanted advice when he did and didn’t need it—he knew damn well Javier loved her. He’d been on his ass to fucking tell her, like how he’s been on his ass to get him to fucking propose, and only now was he actually believing it was all real?
It pissed him off that his best friend doubted his feelings for her.
“Fuck you, man,” he replied, shoving the other man’s shoulder and watching his face fall. “Yeah, I fucking love her. I’ve fucking told you.”
“Hey, hey—” Steve put up his hands in a placating gesture. “—I know you love her, Javier. I’ve known from how you’ve talked about her, but seeing it in person is something else.”
“What do you mean?” His hands were perched on his hips, ignoring the beads of sweat dripping down his spine under his shirt.
Steve smiled. “That ugly mug of yours—” He gestured at Javier’s face. “It’s clear in how you look at her. It’s like you’ve got fuckin’ hearts in your eyes or some shit,” he chuckled, Javier sighing. “I’ve known you for a long fucking time, Javi, and I’ve never seen you look at anyone the way you look at her.”
The explanation mollified him.
“I’ve never felt like this with anyone but her.”
“I know.” His friend clapped a hand on his bicep. “And I’m really fucking happy for you, Jav.”
“Thanks.”
“I’m sweating my balls off. Let’s get inside.”
“Yeah, it’s fucking hot,” he replied, heading toward the back of the rental.
He didn’t need help carrying the bags or directions to the guest room.
The house was nice and cool as he walked inside along the stone tiled floor and directly into their formal sitting room containing a long beige couch against the far left wall with a walnut-colored coffee table in front of it; a smaller version of the sofa along the wall beside the front door and under the large white-framed window, a chair that matched the same style across from it, and end tables at the sides of the couches.
They never actually used this area unless they were hosting guests or during Christmas when Connie would rearrange the furniture to make it picturesque with their tree. Steve thought it was a waste of space; his wife could never know that.
His shoes came off with everyone else’s by the front door, where Connie had a shoe rack overflowing with pairs for adults and children, leaving his next to Cielito’s on the floor. Going further into the room, Steve headed for the kitchen while he turned down the hallway that opened to the right and led to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Olivia’s was the first door on the right. The second was a full bath themed around dolphins, her favorite animal, with them on the shower curtain, the art on the walls, painted on the toothbrush holder, and soap dispenser.
Next was Nate’s room, his door closed and across the hall from his parents’ master suite.
The two boys’ rooms happened to be connected by a bathroom between them. Javier stopped in his tracks at Stevie’s open door—the woman he came here with, the one who made him the happiest man in the world, who he was going to marry and spend the rest of his life with, was sitting on the edge of his nephew’s bed with her back to the door, her attention on the child lying on his side facing her with his eyes closed under a light blanket as she rubbed small circles on his shirt-covered back.
Javier’s eyes crinkled at the edges when he smiled, a soft sigh leaving his lips.
“She volunteered,” Connie whispered behind him, causing him to jump in his skin. “Sorry for scaring you—“ She squeezed his arm reassuringly. “She volunteered,” she continued. “Asked me how she could help and what Stevie’s nap time routine was, and it looks like she’s a pro. She’s great with him.”
“Yeah, she is.” He spoke just as quietly, glancing over his shoulder. “Rubbing his back still puts him to sleep?”
She playfully slapped his arm. “That’s your damn fault.”
“It makes him fall asleep, doesn’t it?”
“Quickest way. We do it with Nate, too.”
“Then why are you mad at me?”
“It’s not right you out-parented us. Now, you better marry this woman, Javier. It’s about damn time you become a father.”
He scratched at his mustache. “You, uh, think I’d be a good dad?”
She looked at him like he was stupid.
“Javier, you’ve always been so much help when you stay with us, and the kids adore you. Yeah, you’re gonna be a fantastic father.”
His throat was feeling tight. Steve arrived at Connie’s back, holding a beer.
“What are y’all whispering about?” the other man quietly asked.
“Javi being a great dad,” his wife replied, looking over her shoulder at him.
“Oh, yeah, we’ve known that for years,” Steve said. “We just didn’t think you’d ever pull your head out of your ass and settle down.”
“Didn’t find the right person until now.” Javier shrugged. He peeked into the room, seeing his future wife was still occupied. Turning his head, he told the other two, “Follow me to the guest room. I need to ask you a favor.”
Tumblr media
To be honest, you were really nervous about helping with nap time and stayed a little longer than necessary, rubbing the sleeping three-year-old's back to ensure he truly was passed out.
There’d been whispers in the hall that hadn’t helped your nerves, wondering what the other three adults were saying amongst themselves and knowing it was probably about you, hoping it was positive. Steve and Connie seemed to like you, and she had trusted you to help with her child, so that was a good sign. They’d disappeared into the guest bedroom, down and across the hall, Connie had pointed out earlier when she gave you a very quick tour.
You figured it was probably safe to leave now, ensuring the toddler was tucked in under his dark blue blanket before you’d gotten up and quietly tip-toed out of the door you closed behind you with a soft click.
It didn’t take too many steps to get to where the guest room door was cracked open, with light spilling out into the hallway, and muffled voices could be heard. You entered, finding your boyfriend and the other couple huddled at the foot of the queen-sized bed directly in front of you.
The walls were painted a soothing greige, the greyish-beige color accented by the eggshell white ceiling, trim, and doors for the closet and en suite. An interesting choice was the wrought iron bed frame that looked old and out of place alongside the nice newer black bedside tables and dresser across from it and the stone-colored armless accent chair in the corner—even the lamps were modern, making the dark, possibly rusting, iron stick out like a sore thumb. The large framed photos of ocean waves crashing and rolling decorating the walls made up for it, though, enjoying the room's atmosphere.
Javi’s head turned toward you, and he smiled. “Hey, baby.” He took a couple of steps to grab your hand and pulled you over to the Murphys.
“What were you guys talking about?” you asked.
“Going to the beach tomorrow,” Connie answered with a big smile. “Olivia’s staying home from school, and we were thinking we’d spend the day there.”
That made you grin. “I’d love that!” Javi pulled you into his side.
Your bags were on the ground in front of the dresser.
“I know,” your boyfriend said, kissing your hair.
It had warm fuzziness spreading through your veins at how thoughtful they were.
“Well, glad we’ve got that figured out,” Connie announced, clapping her hands together. “Javi knows, but let me show you where everything is.”
“Okay.”
She took you into the pretty standard bathroom—the combination shower/bathtub against the furthest wall from the door with a floral printed shower curtain on a golden rod; the bathroom vanity on your right as you walked in, painted white with a similar color laminate countertop and sink with red handles to open the drawers and cabinets under the sink, a large mirror hanging on the wall above it, and the toilet in the space between it and bath. She opened the doors under the sink so you could see where the towels and washcloths were kept and led you back into the bedroom to open the closet door so you knew where the extra blankets were.
“—and I’m sorry about the bed.” Connie grimaced.
“Yeah,” Javi interjected. “What happened to the old bed frame?” His hands were on the top of the footboard that looked like a wide, upside-down U made out of a thick pipe, with two smaller ones going across and others connecting those two in the middle. He gave it a little shake, the metal squeaking loudly.
“Steve saw this—” She pointed at it. “—and said it reminded him of a bed he’d slept in at his grandparents, and he just had to buy it. He thought it’d look great in here.”
“Right…” Javi replied, turning his head, and even though all you could see was the back of it, you knew he was glaring at his friend.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Steve asked, crossing his arms. “I have fond memories of spending time with ‘ol peepaw and granny. Like when he’d take me duck hunting.”
You were pretty sure you heard Javi mutter, “Fuckin’ hillbilly.”
Obviously, he was not happy about the sounds the bed was making, and you were a little disappointed about it, too—he hadn’t been joking about Steve hating you fucking in here.
The blonde man was smirking. “What was that?”
“I said it’s great you’ve got fond memories,” Javi sighed, looking forward again with the fingers of one hand pressed to his forehead.
“So,” Connie began, “again, I’m sorry about how squeaky the bed is—”
“I’m not,” Steve interrupted, which earned him a middle finger from your boyfriend, whom the blonde man simply laughed at.
“I’m sure it’s not that bad,” you said, trying to keep things civil.
“Hopefully,” the other woman replied with a nervous smile. “Well, we’re gonna get out of your hair ‘cause I’m sure you wanna freshen up after your flight.”
“If it’s okay with you guys, I might take a cat nap after I shower. Getting up so early and traveling has exhausted me.”
“Oh, that’s absolutely fine, honey.” She checked her watch. “We’ve got a little over an hour before Olivia is home, and the boys will sleep until right before she gets home. Come on, Steve, let’s leave them alone.”
“Yes, dear,” her husband answered, following her as she walked out of the room, Javi moving to close and lock the door after them.
He turned around with a grumpy expression, letting out a loud, long sigh.
“I’m sure it’s not as bad as you think it is,” you told him as you took a couple of steps to the bed and started getting on it—immediately, high-pitched squeaks sounded with any kind of movement you made on the mattress. “Okay, so it’s worse than your bed at your dad’s…”
“He did this on purpose,” he seethed, putting his hands on his slim hips while all his weight went to one side.
You were lying on your side with your head propped up on your arm to look at him standing over by the door.
“Uh, yeah, that’s obvious. It was a lot of effort to put into cock blocking you. He really doesn’t like the idea of you fucking under his roof.”
“I told you he’d hate it—didn’t think he’d do this.” He pouted.
You didn’t like how upset he was, and you had a great idea of how to cheer him up.
Ignoring the ear-splitting sounds as you got up from the bed.
“Keep standing there, looking pretty. I’ll be right back.”
You saw the confusion on his face for only a moment before you were walking around the front of the bed and away from him to go through the bathroom door beside the dresser. In seconds, you were back in the bedroom and tossing a white towel onto the grey chair in the corner on the other side of the en suite door.
“Are you taking a shower?” he asked, watching with curiosity as you moved toward him, his eyes on yours.
“Not right now,” you answered. “I’ve got more important things to do.”
Finally, you were in his space. “Like what?”
“You,” you answered, grabbing him by his open collar and tugging him toward you to crush your mouth against his, swallowing his moan. His arm went around your waist, the other hand on your back, allowing you to lick into his mouth, his tongue eagerly moving with yours in a familiar dance you both knew all too well.
Arousal was burning in your belly, feeling your heartbeat at the apex of your thighs, your need for him seeping into your underwear.
Your fingers started working open the buttons on his shirt.
“We can’t fuck on the bed,” he breathily said between kisses, a big palm grabbing your ass.
“The chair,” you replied, nipping at his bottom lip.
Suddenly, he was pulling back to look you in the eyes, his reddened lips glistening from spit while his shirt was unbuttoned, hanging open.
“The fucking chair,” he rasped, a look on his face like he was only just realizing.
“Yeah.” You nodded. “There’s also the floor, the counter in the bathroom, the shower, and the clear space at the wall right there—” You pointed behind where the door opened. “—if you were in the mood for wall sex, but you’re really upset about the bed—” You rubbed your hands up his bare chest. “—so I thought you’d enjoy getting ridden on the chair.”
His lips turned up in a toothy grin. “I love you so fucking much.” He kissed you quickly.
You matched his expression, looping your arms around his neck. “I love you, too, and I’m not letting a sabotaged bed stop me from getting dicked down. We just have to be… creative and quiet.”
His eyes darkened, the pink of his tongue peeking out for a second, and when he spoke, his voice had gone deeper and raspier. “You’re not tired,” he said matter-of-factly, his arm pulling you into him so your bodies were flush.
“Nope.” You popped the ‘p.’
“You don’t want to take a nap.”
“I don’t want to take a nap,” you confirmed.
His fingers slid along your cheek until he cradled your face, his gaze stuck to yours. “You want me to fuck you.”
“Very much.”
His head moved until his lips were grazing yours, nuzzling your nose with his. “What got you so worked up you couldn’t wait until we went to bed tonight, Cielito?”
His proximity was fanning the flames of arousal inside you, making your entire body heat, your nipples tighten, and your lips tingle where his barely touched.
Snaking your hand between your bodies, you palmed his hard cock straining against the zipper of his pants. “Probably the same thing that has you hard as a rock—I can’t stop thinking about having babies with you.”
“Fuck,” he groaned, thrusting into your hand. “I can’t fucking wait.”
“To get me pregnant?” you purred, stroking him over his jeans. “Or to fuck me?”
“Both,” he growled, grabbing the hem of your oversized shirt and saying as he roughly pulled it up and off your arms to land carelessly on the floor, “and you fucking know it.” You did, and it made your pussy throb.
“I do.” You helped him shrug off his button-up, your hands going to his belt next. “And I can’t fucking wait either.” The buckle clinked as you effortlessly worked it open and unbuttoned his jeans, hearing the teeth pull apart as you unzipped them.
Warm palms held your face to make you meet the dark pools of his eyes.
“To get pregnant,” his voice had gone lower, seeing his tongue quickly wet his bottom lip. “Or for me to fuck you?”
His pants were undone, and with there being no underwear in your way, you reached in and took him in hand, his shaft feeling like steel wrapped in heated velvet—hot, hard, and silky to the touch. A thrill moved through you at his mouth falling open and eyes closing, his groan going straight to your cunt.
“Both,” you answered.
One word and he became ravenous, desperate, smashing his mouth to yours in a passionate kiss while he went about undressing you as he walked you backward toward the chair—your bra getting tossed somewhere to your left, his lips leaving yours and stopping long enough for him to tug down your leggings and underwear in one fell swoop. He ghosted kisses up your body when he rose again until your mouths were attached once more, continuing the journey to the corner chair, his arm holding you around your middle to help guide you, your hands hanging onto his shoulders.
He spoke between presses of his lips to yours, “You looked so fucking perfect holding the kid…. You’re gonna be an amazing mother to our children…. I need you so fucking bad…. I wanna give you a baby…. Let me fuck a baby into you…. Please.” The last bits made you moan into his mouth, your nails digging into his skin.
The lines were blurred, and you weren’t sure if this was him leaning into the kink you shared or if he was being serious. It was true you couldn’t wait to get pregnant, but you both were well aware the apartment you lived in wasn’t big enough for the addition of a baby and had been actively working with one of the only two architects in town to design the home you planned to build. There was also the fact you wanted to get married first, and the proposal was months away. As much as you both wanted a child, you couldn’t start trying for another year at minimum.
Why were you overthinking this? You would just have a discussion with him after the sex to make sure you were both on the same page.
“God, yes,” you gasped. “I want it.”
The soft fabric of the chair hit the back of your legs, his big hands gripping your asscheeks, murmuring against your lips, “Let me eat your pussy first.”
“Later,” came your muffled reply. “This has to be quick, so we don’t get caught.”
You could feel him frowning before he broke away.
“I don’t fucking care if we get caught.” His eyebrows were furrowed, and his lips were turned down.
What he said made you sigh, another thing that had you overthinking. “I know you don’t care,” you kept your tone as gentle as possible, rubbing your hands over his bare back. “But I do. They’ve been your friends for years and already love you. I’m only just meeting them, and I don’t want to give them a bad first impression. Yeah, I’m okay with going against Steve’s wishes and fucking here, only as long as he doesn’t know. Does that make sense?”
“Yeah, I get it. I’m sorry.” He scrubbed a hand over his face. “I was an asshole for even thinking of letting us get caught.”
“It’s okay.” Your hands skated along his naked sides. “Now, let’s get back to the sexy—I am so horny.”
His hand fell. “Do you need me to finger you?”
“I think I’m wet enough. One second, though.” You held up a finger before turning around and spreading the towel over the seat. Facing him again, you ordered, “Pants off, Mr. Peña, and sit,” and moved out of his way.
He huffed out an amused breath, pushing down his jeans. “As you wish, Mrs. Peña.” Stepping out of them, a pained groan slipped from his throat as he straightened, taking the seat as you requested.
The armless chair was about as wide as a dining room chair with some cushioning and a channel-stitched back, covered in grey velvet, the wooden legs painted black. Javi sat down, getting comfortable as he sat back and spread his legs.
The sight before you had your mouth going dry.
His lust-filled gaze was looking up at you, taking in the broad shoulders, the expanse of his golden chest down to his soft tummy, where below his belly button, a trail of hair led your eyes to his big hand slowly stroking his hard cock; the tip was red and shining from the steady dribble of precum leaking from it, that he was using to ease the glide of his palm—he was the perfect picture of seduction and you were under his spell, willing to do anything he wanted.
A crooked smile appeared under his mustache.
“You wanna watch me jerk off?” he asked. “Or are you gonna ride me?”
The questions snapped you out of your reverie.
“Sorry,” you quickly apologized, stepping to stand between his widened knees. “You’re just so sexy, and you know, watching you jerk off really gets me going.”
“I know, mi amor (my love),” he chuckled.
His hand left his dick, the long shaft resting against the coarse hair on his belly. Gently, he tugged you by the arm down for a kiss, and you took over, slowly stroking him at the odd angle, making him groan into your mouth when you went lower to fondle his sack, his large palm reaching around to trace the curve of your ass before giving it a squeeze.
On occasion, your husband-to-be had the tendency to get caught up in kissing—Javi loved kissing, so when he pulled you forward by your backside, your arms went around his neck for balance, and you welcomed his tongue when it pressed between your lips. His palms slid up your sides to rest on your ribs as he plundered your mouth, your heart hammering in your chest, feeling slick coating your inner thighs.
The needy ache in your core got worse and worse with every passing minute, finally getting to the point where you had to get him inside you, or there was a chance you were going to combust from the pent-up tension.
You broke away, his lips chasing yours.
“I need you,” you panted.
His eyes met yours, his pupils blown so wide that only a thin sliver of chocolate brown remained.
“Okay,” he said through heavy breaths with a nod. “I’ve got you, baby. Stand up.”
You did as he said, watching as he spit on his fingers and rubbed the saliva onto his cock, doing it a couple of times until his entire length glistened in the bright overhead light.
Once satisfied, his hands were on your upper thighs as he helped you get one leg over his onto the ground beside the chair, then the other to have you standing on either side of him and straddling his hips. Not wasting any more time, you reached between your legs, guiding him to your entrance, and slowly lowered. That first stretch always stole your breath, resting your arms on his freckled shoulders, one of his going around your back to bring you flush to his front, his free hand skating down your back to grip one plump cheek of your ass.
Javi’s eyes had squeezed shut, his breath hitching, feeling how your walls were having to make space for the girth of him and relishing the slight burn from the lack of foreplay. He wasn’t even halfway in, and you rose until only the tip remained, dropping again to take a little more, doing the same thing over and over, taking more of him each time until he was fully seated inside you.
The familiar fullness made you smile, a deep sigh leaving you at how good it felt. Your skin was buzzing just below the surface, your body hot all over, sweat beginning to form on your brow, and you were in heaven.
His face was against your collarbone, his warm breath hitting your skin. “You feel so fucking good,” his voice was muffled, the hand on your ass tightening. “Fuck, te amo (I love you). No sé cuánto tiempo voy a durar (I don’t know how long I'll last). Úsame para hacerte venir (Use me to make yourself come). Úsame, por favor (Use me, please). ¿Puedes hacer eso por mí, Cielito (Can you do that for me, Cielito)? ¿Puedes hacerte sentir bien (Can you make yourself feel good)?”
“Sí (Yes),” you answered. “Sí, Papí (Yes, Papí).”
His chest rumbled under you from his groan, a hand coming down on your ass in a sharp slap that made you clench around him.
“Monta me (Ride me),” he ordered, smacking your backside again. “Monta me duro, mi amor (Ride me hard, my love).”
Grabbing the hair at the back of his head, you pulled on it as you straightened your spine to make him look at you, his eyes heavy-lidded when they blinked open, while yours narrowed in a glare.
“Javier, stop smacking my ass,” you hissed. “We have to be quiet, and you better make sure I don’t get too loud.”
His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed.
“Lo siento, cariño (I’m sorry, sweetheart).” His warm hands rubbed along the sides of your spine. “Prometo, estar más callado y evitar que hagas mucho ruido (I promise, I will be quieter and keep you from making too much noise).”
“Thank you,” you replied, pushing his hair back from his face. Leaning in close, you gave him a gentle peck on his lips and the tip of his nose. “If you come before me, it’s fine—it would probably take me with you, anyway.”
“Fuck,” he breathed, feeling him twitch inside you. “With how you’re soaking my dick, I think you’ll get off pretty fucking fast.”
“Probably.” You shrugged and started rolling your hips, watching in delight as his mouth fell open in a moan and his body shuddered.
His arm wrapped around your waist, the other hand holding your jaw, keeping his eyes locked on yours, your own arm over his shoulder, and free hand caressing the side of his face. Both of you were sharing in the pleasure, your bodies fitting together so perfectly like two puzzle pieces, breathing each other in, losing yourselves in this moment.
He wanted you to use him to make yourself feel good, so you did.
Standing made it easy to rise on your legs, sliding up his hard cock to leave only the head and fall back down, thrusting your hips forward on the downstroke to take him to the hilt and make him raggedly groan.
Heat was blooming in your belly, getting hotter with every second you worked yourself on his dick. He pulled you in for a kiss, and you slowed to a grind, the rough curls at the base of his cock rubbing deliciously against the swollen bud of your clit, adding gasoline to the fire inside you.
Like this, he was in so deep you were sure you could probably feel him if you pressed on your stomach, and you knew if he knew that, he’d be a smug bastard about it, which was valid.
You started moving again, the kissing becoming sporadic as you rode him in earnest, your arousal spilling down his shaft to coat his balls. His fingers were digging into the cheeks of your ass, his arms flexing as he gave you momentum and helped you move.
The two of you were trying your best to stay quiet and hold back your sounds, Javi’s face flushed and forehead wet with sweat, both unable to keep some noise from slipping out. The loudest sound was between your legs, hearing the wet suck of your slick gushing around him when his dick pushed into your drenched hole.
Something about fucking in places where there was a chance of getting caught really turned you and him on. Add in, you were told without explicitly being told you weren’t allowed to have sex here, and the higher risk had you rocketing toward your orgasm—Javi was right; you were going to get off quick.
His hands went to your tits, his thick fingers zeroing in on your pebbled nipples, pinching and rolling them before his mouth's hot, wet heat pulled one stiff peak into his mouth.
“God, yes,” you moaned, pleasure shooting directly to your cunt as you bounced on his thick cock.
The muscles in your belly were tightening, adjusting your hips so every time you sunk down, he was pressing into that one spot that dotted your vision with stars, his mouth giving your other breast the same treatment.
This all felt amazing, but there was something you needed…
“Touch me,” you panted, rising and falling in his lap.
His head popped up, glazed over eyes looking at your face.
“Anywhere?” he breathily asked, and the question made you stifle a moan.
“Yes.”
“I’ll get you there.” And you had no doubt.
He started with tweaking your wet nipple, roughly pinching it, his other hand going between your bodies to rub his thumb against your sensitive clit, the sensations feeling like electricity arcing up your spine, making your rhythm stutter for a moment—the heat in your stomach was growing and getting hotter, the closer you were to your climax.
“Hang onto my neck,” he told you.
“What?”
“Lean forward and hold onto my neck.”
You did as he said, pressing into his front and hanging onto him.
His hand on your breast moved to cup your bottom, and he adjusted in the seat, grunting as he sat up, the chair creaking beneath him. Your tempo slowed while he continued circling your bundle of nerves with one hand, his other arm reaching around your thigh to spread two fingers around where his cock was impaling you, feeling how he was stretching you open.
“Your tight little pussy takes my dick so well,” he spoke into your breasts with how you were raised up on your feet, his cock halfway inside you. “I swear I was fucking made for you.”
A moan slipped from your lips unbidden when those same fingers slid through the abundance of your slick on his length and continued up, swiping along the edges of your puckered hole, causing sparks to dance in your center. One thick finger slowly pushed into the tight ring of muscle to the first knuckle, your eyes rolling back in your head and toes curling at the added fullness, biting your lip to keep yourself from making any noise. You worked yourself faster on his dick, tilting your pelvis so he was pressing into all of the right spots, his digit fucking in and out of you at the same pace, it all making you go dizzy with pleasure.
Your inner walls were fluttering.
“Come on, baby,” he rasped, not stopping what he was doing. “Once you come, I’m gonna fill you up.” His head lifted. “Gonna fuck you full of me.” He kissed your clavicle, maintaining your pace. “Stuff you so full of my come, I knock you up.” You whimpered and were almost there. “Isn’t that what you want?” His fingers were still circling your clit and pushing in and out of your asshole, your hips rolling on his cock. “For me to finally get you pregnant?” he asked. “I’ll fuck a baby into you, Cielito, all you have to do is ask.”
And you knew he meant it, the thought entering your mind that you could throw out your birth control today, and odds were he’d have you pregnant by next month—that was what made you crest, sitting all the way down in his lap as you came, your body tensing up tight as euphoria exploded out from your center, spreading through your system. His hand on your front was suddenly over your mouth to smother your loud cry, your body trembling as you slumped into him.
“Good girl,” his words came out thick and rough. “You’re so good to me.”
Your chest was heaving, enjoying the aftershocks and the feel of your cunt spasming around his dick that was still hard inside you.
His hand left your lips to ghost up and down your spine, and he removed the finger from your ass.
“This baby stuff is getting dangerous,” you sounded drunk, slurring your words, your face in the crook of his neck.
“What?”
“Our breeding kinks. You wanna know the thing that fucking got me?”
“Yeah.”
Leaning back to look him in the eyes, you told him, “The thought that if I tossed my birth control today, you’d probably have me pregnant by next month.” His cock jerked hard inside you. “I got off on you being fucking virile.”
His eyes were practically black, licking his lips before he spoke. “We, uh—” He cleared his throat. “—we, uh, could test your theory…?” The hope was there on his face, and it made you feel like utter shit to have to deny him of his dream. This man wanted to be a father so fucking bad, and you more than wanted to make him one. It just wasn’t feasible at this point in time.
You held his face in your hands, stroking your thumbs over his cheeks.
“Javi, I love you,” you started. “I want to have all of your babies, but as we both know, the apartment is too small for us and a baby. There’s also the whole I want us to be married thing, too.”
“Pop said we can move in with him while the house is being built, and we’ll be married before a baby is born.” He sounded very sure of himself.
Your eyebrow lifted. “How are you so positive we’ll be married in less than ten months?”
He smiled. “Because you pre-accepted my proposal and told me you didn’t want a big wedding.”
That was something you told him.
Standing in front of a giant room full of people you actually only knew a fraction of and being the center of attention sounded like a literal nightmare scenario. A tiny wedding with only close friends and family in attendance was something more your speed—hell, eloping seemed like a goddamn dream.
It hit you then the possibility of how soon the two of you could be married, and excitement bubbled up inside you, doing the first thing that came to mind and kissing him deeply, cradling his smooth cheeks in your palms. His lips were soft and plush, his tongue delving into your mouth with a moan, it turning into one of those kisses that drove you wild.
You needed to make him feel good. You needed him to feel your love and happiness.
His dick was still throbbing in your pussy, and you started rolling your hips, his hands cupping your backside, keeping you in charge of the rhythm while he assisted in your movements.
The way he liked it when you were on top was for you to go hard and fast, so you lifted and slammed back down in quick succession. It was slippery between your thighs, his cock sliding easily in and out of your wet heat, the kisses turning messy with how you were moving on him.
In this position with both of you sitting up, you could get him to come pretty quickly if you sloppily made out with him and occasionally clenched your cunt around his cock; he’d say that was playing dirty if this was a regular romp, but under current circumstances, they were legal maneuvers like how he toyed with your clit and put a finger in your ass. These were all finishing moves that generally only came into play during quickies, though, when he was in the mood to make you come multiple times, he was liberal in their usage—and every time you were about to utilize a move, the fatality screen from Mortal Kombat came to mind, hearing in your brain the announcer say, “Finish Him.”
His eyebrows were knitted together, and his eyes were closed, the effort he was putting into being quiet causing pitiful whines to escape his throat. He was tense beneath you, every muscle in his body pulled taut like a bowstring close to snapping, and you knew he was almost there, clenching up around him on your downstrokes.
“‘M close,” he murmured, his fingers digging into the soft flesh of your behind and spreading your cheeks while helping you rise and fall.
“Yeah?” you replied through heavy breaths. “I want you to come for me, Javi.” Your kiss landed on the side of his mouth. “I love you.” This kiss made it onto his lips. “I want to marry you, have your children, and spend the rest of my life with you.”
He pressed his face into your chest, kissing what he could while you moved up and down—over the tops of your breasts, along your collarbones, up the line of your throat; all the while, he was saying against your skin, “Te amo (I love you). Me voy a casar contigo (I’m going to marry you). Te voy a dar todos los hijos que quieras (I will give you as many children as you want). Voy a pasar el resto de mi vida contigo (I’m going to spend the rest of my life with you). Fuck, te sientes tan bien (you feel so good). Eres perfecta (You’re perfect). No puedo esperar a verte embarazada (I can’t wait to see you pregnant).”
“Embarazada con tu bebé (Pregnant with your baby),” you panted.
A strangled noise came from him, shoving his face in your neck to mute it as he pulled you down to completely bury himself inside you. His teeth sunk into the spot where your neck met your shoulder, and you hissed at the pleasurable pain; his dick thickened, feeling it jerk, and the familiar wet pulse of spurts and spurts of his come gushing deep in your depths to fill you.
You ran your fingers through his sweat-damp hair, his heaving breaths hot against your skin as he soothed over the bite with kisses, your own chest rising and falling rapidly, his arms hugging you close to him.
The solutions he had so you could have a baby were rolling around in your head, and you wondered if it really would be that easy.
Chucho would be over the goddamn moon if you guys temporarily moved in with him, and then a baby on top of that? His first nieto (grandchild)? The thing he constantly brought up? Chucho wanted to be a grandfather just as bad as Javi wanted to be a dad, and you knew he’d do anything for you both.
Why were nerves fluttering around in your belly? You should be ecstatic, but there was a voice in your brain that sounded a lot like your mother pointing out you haven’t even been together a year. For all intents and purposes, you were still in the honeymoon stage of your relationship, and that’d have to end at some point. Would you both still feel the same after a year has passed? Two? Five? Ten? Would he still be as attracted to you after your body changed from pregnancy?
These questions were stressing you out.
“Javi?”
He hummed in reply.
“You know how you feel about me right now. Do you think you’ll still feel that way in a year?”
His head came up with his eyebrows pulled together.
“Yeah?” he answered.
“What about in two years?”
He was giving you a look like the answer was obvious.
“Cielito, I’m gonna love you like this for the rest of my fucking life.”
Your voice was small, “How can you be sure?”
His hands had started rubbing comforting circles on your hips, looking at you with a tender gaze.
“I’m my father’s kid,” he said, “and when we find the person meant for us, that’s it; it’s game over. We dedicate our lives to them, and we love them so fucking deeply we feel it in our souls—this is going to sound stupid, but Pop says we’re penguins.”
“Penguins?”
“Yeah, he watched some nature documentary and found out they mate for life—we’re penguins.”
It made you grin. “That is the absolute cutest shit I have ever heard.”
He smiled. “I knew you’d like it. Does that make you feel better?”
“Yes,” you answered truthfully. “We’re mated for life.”
“Yeah, we are, and I know it’s not gonna be all sunshine and rainbows. We’ll have our ups and downs like all couples do, but there’s no one else I’d rather go through the good and bad with.” The look on his face changed to something unsure. “Do you, uh, think your feelings will change?”
“I don’t think so. My love for you is so embedded inside me that it sometimes feels like you’ve always been with me, and I just didn’t know. So, I think I’m a penguin, too.”
He chuckled, leaning in to sweetly kiss you. When his lips left yours, he nuzzled your face.
“Anything else you need reassurance about?” he gently asked with his nose sliding along yours.
“Um, the other thing was if you’d still be attracted to my body post-pregnancy…”
A thing you loved about Javi was how you could basically tell what he was thinking from the expression on his face, and right this second, as he stared at you, he was trying to work out how to politely tell you it was stupid to think he’d find you unattractive after having his baby.
“Are you talking about the body that grew our baby and kept them safe for nine months?” he asked, and yeah, you realized now how dumb it was to think something so absurd. “Yeah, I’m still gonna be attracted to you,” he continued, “the woman I love, who made me a father. I’m not gonna care about stretch marks or if you put on weight or any of the other shit that’ll change. You did something fucking incredible, and honestly, it makes me hard thinking about you being pregnant, so if there are things to remind me of that, I’m probably gonna be all over you constantly. Feel better?”
That eased your worries.
“Much.” You gave him a quick peck on the lips. “Thank you. Now, let’s go take a shower.” You started to move, and he stopped you.
Hope was swirling in his eyes. “Is this a yes to a baby?”
“This is a maybe on the baby, and we will need to have a long discussion with your father.”
The smile he gave you was so blinding, you were sure it outshined the sun, a joyous laugh coming from him as he hugged you into his arms and squeezed you tight.
“I’m so fucking happy.” The emotion was heavy in his voice. “Thank you so much.” He sniffled in your ear.
Your hands slid over his back. “Don’t thank me yet. It’s not set in stone.”
He pulled back, his eyes rimmed red, tears falling down his cheeks.
“No,” he replied. “Thank you for loving me and being with me and wanting to have kids with me. I know it’s not a sure thing, but it’s the fact there’s a chance.” His voice cracked when he said the last word, his shoulders shaking.
“Oh, babe.” You wrapped your arms around him and held him close to your body.
This reaction for a maybe made you want to throw all caution to the wind and say fuck it, and just start trying, the rational part of your brain telling you to cool your jets. It was an angel and demon on your shoulders situation, with you leaning toward the baby, and it wasn’t going to help that the two of you would be around children for the next few days.
The way Javi interacted with Stevie? Almost killed you. He was so sweet, and the child clearly loved him so much it had your ovaries aching. Three days, you were going to have to watch him with the Murphy kids, and you weren’t sure if you were going to survive or keep from throwing your birth control in the trash.
You had to be strong.
Tumblr media
Javier knew this trip would be important since he was bringing his wif-girlfriend to meet his best friend’s family. He just didn’t expect also to get the news they might be able to start trying for a baby sooner than they had planned.
Don’t get him wrong, he was excited about having their house built and getting to have a say in the design, but they were looking at twelve to fourteen months before it’d be ready to move into, and he did not want to wait that long to start their family—he was feeling… impatient. He’d already wasted enough of his life, and with him turning fucking forty on Sunday, he’d been plagued with thoughts of how many years he had left above ground.
A couple of weeks ago, his therapist told him he was having a mid-life crisis, which he scoffed at because he sure as hell wasn’t buying some expensive sports car or chasing women half his age—he outright owned his dependable truck and was more than happy in his amazing and healthy relationship with a woman slightly younger than him. Then the therapist went for his jugular over why he’d begun wrestling with feelings of his mortality and how it started with him planning their trip to Miami and thinking about the Murphys and Cielito. What it boiled down to was he regretted the time he lost to his job and now felt unfulfilled that, at his age, he didn’t have a family of his own like Steve.
The guy was right, and it annoyed him.
It gave him a swift kick in the ass to figure out some things, though.
Like how he went out to his dad’s last Tuesday after work to have a beer with him and ask if he was serious about them living with him if they were ever expecting and their home was still under construction—he said yes, and told Javier when Cielito eventually got pregnant he was planning to turn the guest bedroom into a nursery anyway.
There was also the ring box he rolled up in a pair of socks tucked away at the bottom of the duffle bag he brought.
He was ready to make some big changes, and by the end of this trip, he hoped more than anything he’d have a fiancée.
After he got all of his happy tears out, they kissed and got off of the chair to take a shower, stopping on the way for her to grab her toiletry bag from her luggage.
They washed each other and stole kisses, his hands wandering over her soapy skin with her giggles echoing in the stall. It didn’t take them very long to finish, going through their after-shower routines to get dry and do their hair. They changed into clean clothes, and he put on a lavender-colored button-up and some jeans, his eyes glued to her ass in the high-waisted denim shorts she was wearing as she bent over to put on her socks. He found himself closing the distance in two long strides to grab her hips, carefully bumping and rubbing the front of his pants against her backside.
“Are you seriously humping me while I put on my socks?”
He frowned. “I’m not humping you. You’d know if I was humping you.”
“Fine. Are you seriously grinding on me while I put on my socks?”
“Maybe…”
She finished what she was doing, her socked feet planted on the floor, standing back up and turning in his arms.
There was an exasperated look on her face as she smiled. “You’re so fucking ridiculous.” Her arms went around his neck.
“They’re nice shorts,” he replied, making her laugh when he grabbed handfuls of her ass.
“Well, you’ll be excited to know I only brought shorts and leggings.”
He smirked. “I’m very excited about that.”
“Good. Have we been in here long enough that they’ll believe we showered and napped?”
Checking his watch, he answered, “We’ve been in here about an hour, so I think we’re in the clear.”
The look on her face shifted to something nervous.
“Do you think we made too much noise?”
For her comfort, he slid his hands up and down her sides.
He’d never lie to her, so he told her the truth. “They’re on the opposite side of the house, and between them and us is their master bathroom that’s on the other side of that wall—” He pointed at the wall next to the door to the guest room’s en suite. “—then their walk-in closet, their big fucking bedroom, and finally you’d end up in the kitchen. Unless they used their bathroom or came down the hall to check on the boys, which I doubt because they have the baby monitors, I don’t think they heard anything.”
“You’re sure?”
The smile on his face was reassuring. “Yes. I’m not lying, Cielito.”
She let out a breath, and her body seemed to relax. “Okay, fingers crossed they didn’t hear anything. Let’s head out there.”
“Bésame antes de irnos, por favor (Kiss me before we go, please),” he said, puckering his lips.
“So polite.” She leaned in to kiss him.
When they separated, he took her hand, leading her out to find his friends.
They found Steve in the actual living room they used at the back of the house, having to walk through the kitchen and dining room to get to it. There was a massive brown leather sofa in the middle of the room, Steve’s recliner next to it, a coffee table, and a decent-sized television in their entertainment center against the wall in front of the couch that had an abundance of VHS movies aimed towards children, and it looked like Connie had cleaned up after the boys, all of their toys put away in their toy box or back in their designated spots in the part of space designated for the kids.
Walking in, they were behind the sofa, seeing Steve was watching ESPN and the highlights of a basketball game from the previous night between the Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic, a beer held in his hand.
His head turned toward them, his lips turning up in a shit-eating grin. “How’d y'all sleep on the bed?”
Javier’s eyes narrowed. “Like babies.”
Cielito moved to stand beside him in his friend’s view.
Steve sputtered into laughter, and Javier frowned at the sudden outburst. “You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me!” the other man finally said. “Matching shirts?” He looked over at his future wife and her V-neck that was the same lavender color as his, he matched out of habit—all the shirts he brought had counterparts to what she had in her luggage. It was their thing. His friend wiped at his eyes. “Who are you, and what have you done with my asshole of a best friend?”
“I don’t see what the big deal is about us matching,” he replied, crossing his arms. “So what if we like to look good together? Where’s Connie?”
“Doing laundry.” He nodded toward the door that led to the laundry room, and as if she were summoned, it opened, and she came in holding a large basket full of clothes against her hip with one arm.
“Oh, great!” she exclaimed. “You’re up!” She paused after shutting the door. “Be honest with me, how bad is the bed? If you can’t sleep on it, I’ll pull out the air mattress.”
Just the thought of sleeping on an air mattress made Javier’s body ache.
“It’s pretty squeaky,” Cielito answered. “But we’ll survive. It’s seriously okay.” She waved away the concern.
“If you’re sure.”
Sounds started coming from the baby monitors on the coffee table, Stevie and Nate both in their separate bedrooms calling for their mom.
“Oh,” Connie said. “Looks like the boys are up. I’ll go put the laundry in our bedroom and get them.”
“Don’t worry about it, Connie,” Javier told her. “I’ll get them.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah,” he replied. “It’s not a problem.” His head turned to the woman next to him. “Do you want to come with me or stay out here?”
She smiled at him. “I’m sure you can use an extra set of hands—I’ll come with.”
He nodded with a matching look, taking her hand once more and guiding her back to the hallway where the bedrooms were located.
First, they stopped in Nate’s room, finding the tiny boy standing at the railing of his crib, crying for his mom.
“Oh, mi precioso (my precious),” Javier cooed, quickly making his way over and scooping the child up. He held him on his hip, bouncing a little while rubbing his back. “You’re okay, buddy. Shhh, you’re okay. We’ll go see your mom in just a minute.” Turning to look at Cielito, she had a soft expression on her face. “Baby?” She was just staring, and it made him grin. “Mi amor (My love)?”
She visibly jolted. “Sorry. Yes. Did you say something?”
“Was trying to get your attention. I need to change his diaper. Do you wanna go get Stevie?”
“I can get Stevie, yes,” she answered, nodding. “Be right back.” Immediately, she turned and left the room.
Nate had calmed down and wasn’t crying anymore, murmuring mom over and over again with his hand in his mouth.
“That was your tía (aunt),” he informed the little one as he walked him over to the changing table. “I know you can keep a secret,” he whispered, laying the child on the cushioned top. “I’m gonna propose to her tomorrow.” Grabbing a clean diaper and the wipes from the shelf underneath, he went about changing the toddler. “I figured out how I’m gonna do it last weekend,” he continued talking, his hands working. “So, she’s gonna be your tía, and hopefully soon you’ll have some primos (cousins).” He tossed the dirty diaper into the lidded bin he opened with the foot pedal, the kid now in a clean one as Javier buttoned back up his turquoise onesie with a sleeping long-eared, white, spotted dog on it.
“Who’s that?” Came his soon-to-be fiancée’s voice from the doorway. He turned his head to see her holding the other boy in her arm while she pointed at him with a smile.
“Tío!” Stevie shouted, grinning. “Tío and Nate!”
Javier picked up the younger of the two children and smiled.
“That’s right, buddy,” he said, turning toward them. “Who’s holding you?”
The three-year-old pressed his finger against Cielito’s chest. “Tía!”
“Good job!” He was close to them now, affectionately ruffling the kid’s dirty blonde hair with his hand and making him laugh. “You’re so smart.”
Stevie held out his arms to Javier, and he quickly took him in his free arm, both boys sitting comfortably on each of his hips.
“Oh, no,” his future wife breathed, staring at him with wide eyes.
Concern was etched on his brow. “What?”
“My ovaries feel like they’re gonna explode.”
“Is that a bad thing…?” He wasn’t sure.
“For my self-control? Yes. For you getting that thing you want really bad? No.”
“What thing do I want…?”
Her answer was to point at Nate, and his heartbeat stuttered, sucking in a breath.
This meant she really was contemplating them not waiting to have a baby, and it made hope swell in his chest. He didn’t want to be an asshole and deliberately wear down her resolve. Still, he also couldn’t control how he usually interacted with the Murphy kids, which apparently was getting to her—it made him happy that she was so affected by him being great with the children. He was beginning to think this trip was going to show her that he’d be a decent father.
He didn’t have a chance to respond, hearing from down the hall in the living room, Olivia shouting, “Is he here?!”
She must’ve just gotten home from school.
“Sissy’s home!” Stevie exclaimed.
“It sounds like she is,” Javier replied. “Let’s go see her.” He looked at Cielito. “Ready to meet the oldest?”
“Yep.”
Running footsteps could be heard as they made their way out of the room, his wif-girlfriend behind him on their journey toward the sound of voices. The young girl seemed to have run to where her father was in the living room because she came speeding back through the dining room that connected it to the front sitting area and finally found them.
“Tío!” Olivia had a big grin, missing a couple of baby teeth in the front, throwing her arms around his middle when she reached him, hugging him hard.
“Hola, mi sobrina (Hi, my niece). Lo siento, no tengo brazos para abrazarte en este momento (I’m sorry, I don’t have arms to hug you right now).”
Steve and Connie felt that Olivia should learn Spanish and had enrolled her in after-school classes for it since she first started going to school. Her dad’s Spanish was shit, and her mom’s wasn’t much better, so any time she needed help with homework she’d call Javier.
“Está bien (It’s okay). Estoy feliz que estás aquí (I’m happy you’re here).”
Connie was walking up, having come from the kitchen. Nate immediately reached toward her and chanted Mom.
“I’m here, baby,” she said, taking him from Javier and returning to where she’d been.
With a hand free, he patted Olivia’s back.
“Hi, Sissy!” Stevie greeted.
“Hi, Stevie,” she replied.
“¿Cómo te fue en la escuela (How was school)?” Javier asked the nine-year-old.
She let go of him to look up and meet his eyes.
“Bien (Good). Aprendí sobre (I learned about), ¿cómo se dice dinosaurs (how do you say dinosaurs)?”
“Los dinosaurios. ¿Qué te enseñaban sobre los dinosaurios (What did they teach you about dinosaurs)?”
“Oh, my teacher wasn’t teaching us about dinosaurs today,” she said, switching to English. “I don’t know what she was teaching.” The girl shrugged. “I was too busy reading this book I got in the library about dinosaurs.”
He smiled.
“Which dinosaur is your favorite?”
“Triceratops! They could take on T-Rexes. I want to look for dinosaur fossils when I’m older!”
“You want to be a paleontologist?”
She looked confused. “What’s a pale—a palien-tol-gist?”
“Paleontologist,” he said slower. “They’re scientists who study fossils.”
“Yes, I want to do that!” She nodded enthusiastically.
“Sissy!” Stevie loudly called, bouncing in Javier’s hold. “Sissy!”
“Yes, Stevie?”
“Tía’s gonna make cookies with me!”
Confusion was on her face again. “Tía?”
It made him realize he hadn’t introduced the young girl to his other half.
“Yes, your tía,” Javier told her and moved the toddler from one arm to the other so he could wrap the free one around Cielito’s waist. “Olivia, I want you to meet the woman I’ve told you about who I’m gonna marry.” He introduced her to Cielito.
“Oh! Cielito!” She looked over at the older woman. “Hi!” She waved.
Cielito was smiling. “Hi,” she replied. “It’s nice to meet you, Olivia.”
“It’s nice to meet you, too. I wanna make cookies! What kind?”
“Chocolate chip.”
“My favorite!”
“Mine, too.”
“Cookies!” Stevie shouted, making Javier snort and his future wife giggle.
“Better head to the kitchen,” Javier said.
“Yeah,” Cielito responded. “Let’s all go make cookies. You too, Olivia.”
“Yes!” The girl did little jumps of excitement.
In the kitchen, they found the ingredients for the cookies waiting for them on the counter, Connie having already gotten them out along with measuring cups and spoons, a large bowl, and an electric hand mixer. Hands were washed, including Stevie’s, who had a little stool to stand on so he could help as well as a toddler could.
Cielito entranced the children as she walked them through step by step how to make the cookie dough, and Javier left the room for only a minute to run to the bedroom and grab his camera.
She had Stevie in front of her on the stool, holding the toddler’s little hand to help him scoop the flour and sugar into the bowl, and Olivia next to her. She showed the young girl how to crack the eggs, and when they got to adding the chocolate chips, they all took handfuls to snack on—and through it all, Javier took pictures, getting candids of them laughing and others where he asked them to look and smile at him, Stevie always grinning big and saying cheese.
Baking with a three-year-old was chaotic with how he wanted to touch and get into everything, but Cielito handled it like a champ and had the patience of a saint.
It all had him thinking about their future, easily picturing her doing this same thing with their own kids. It reminded him of how some of his favorite memories growing up were cooking with his mom, and it made his eyes burn that his children would get to have similar experiences.
What he has known, and was being proven right, was he’s found his perfect match and the person he was supposed to spend his life with.
From the moment he met her, there was something about her, some kind of pull—he was drawn to her like a moth to a flame, and as he got to know her, she engulfed him, and he fell hard. After their first date, on his drive home, he experienced something new: he imagined what his future would look like with her in it. A lifetime played out in his mind of them dating, getting engaged, married, buying a house, getting a dog, and he’d never felt so much hope before.
He didn’t think he had a chance in hell to make it a reality. He was positive he’d fuck it up before the third date.
By some miracle, he didn’t.
When he thought about those first few dates, the second was when he fell in love with her—that was when he knew she was it. By the third date, he knew he was going to marry her.
A thing about Javier was when he put his mind to something, he got it done, and he didn’t like to waste time—this evidently also included relationships. He fucked up when he said he’d propose on their anniversary because there was no way he was going to be able to wait that long—and he cracked quicker than an egg hitting a wall.
How could he not when she was so perfect?
Life was dull before her, empty; he always felt like something was missing. She was what was missing, filling that space inside him, turning everything vibrant and lively. There were an infinite number of ways their lives could’ve played out, and he knew in every single one the path he chose would always lead him back to her—they were meant to find each other.
His love for her burned brighter than the brightest star in the night sky, and she was a part of him now—he could feel her burrowed deep down in his bones to the point there was no him without her any longer. She was his first and the only love of his life; there was no one before, and there wouldn’t be anyone after because she was the one for him.
And when he held her, he held the entire world in his arms.
She was his world.
She was everything.
And in less than twenty-four hours, she would hopefully say yes when he asked a particular question while holding a ring.
Until then, he’d try to stay calm while watching her interact with his friend’s kids and ignore how his chest was filled with so much happiness he thought it might burst. These glimpses of what she’ll be like as a mother were driving him crazy, and it was taking everything in him not to haul her back to the bedroom and show her how much he loved it—they couldn’t, anyway, with the kids wanting to spend time with them and the damn bed. Fucking Steve.
He didn’t want to rile himself up, so he’d do his best to avoid thinking about her being the mother of his children or how earlier she said maybe to a baby.
Who was he kidding? It was all he could think about, and he was dying to get her alone.

Pov: They find out you're Latina
Hobie Brown:
Tumblr media
This guy will go crazy, but inside, he's always been curious to meet a latina, you're lucky he's by your side asking how your country is, this guy will walk you through the streets with his usual position, hands in his pockets , and ask how your family is, the food, Aah… when he heard the typical food you said, he couldn't help but salivate a little hahaha.
When you mention the characteristics of the country you were born in, he is impressed, but he is always silent, sometimes he raises his eyebrows and:
"Really? I like it, your country is curious. I already know the reason for your warm personality..."
He is also curious to know the typical style of music from his country, I think he didn't like it very much haha, but he also asks about the rock bands in his region, when he hears it he smiles. When he sees you with headphones he says:
" Look, she's really enjoying the music… " — Hobie says approaching you with his hands on his hips.
" Do you want to listen with me? " — you ask with a gentle smile, handing him the phone, he takes it and puts it to his ear sitting next to you, the two of you upside down on top of a huge building that you liked to spend time in .
"Wow… this song is good! It's from your country, they're good!" He couldn't help but nod along enjoying the music.
Gwen Stacy:
Tumblr media
She widens her eyes hearing the news, man she is so impressed she can't help but smile, she starts babbling asking thousands of things, and you startle in a fun way, when she gets excited she gets really expressive, waving her hands in circles and stumbling over words.
" Wow! What's it like? Like… Your country, it must be amazing! Especially because you're amazing! "
As you speak she has a funny expression lost in her thoughts staring at you for a while, when Gwen returns to the now, she laughs a little when she realizes she was staring at you, embarrassed she speaks calmly that she loved every word about the place you came from.
Miles Morales:
Tumblr media
He yelled… yes he was so incredulous he yelled, Miles quickly covers his mouth and chuckles quietly at his own reaction, if you speak Spanish… he starts to pronounce it, you can't help but laugh when he fails a few pronunciations leaving you embarrassed.
He asks you to teach him when he has a test, you teach him and he keeps looking at you every second seeing your beautiful accent, he has that usual smile, that beautiful and sweet smile.
" Your accent… " — he lets out a laugh at the end
"What about him Miles?" - you get curious looking at him, crossing his arms and arching his eyebrow.
" It's beautiful! " — he starts to feel his face get hot and a slight blush appears on both their faces.
When Rio talks to you in Spanish Miles is so happy to see you making friends with his mother, Rio chatty and you too, two talking nonstop and Miles going crazy… but he was loving it.
Pavitr Prabhakar
Tumblr media
You are having tea that Pavitr loves so much, he asks about you, he loves making new friends and wants to know more.
" So Pavitr… I'm Latina and… " — you are prevented from talking to him by speaking over and over.
"WHAT? Latina? I knew it! His facial features don't fool me!" — Pavitr puts the cup of tea on the table, he takes your hands and faces you.
"What happened?" — you ask with a shaky smile
" Get ready darling! I'm going to ask a lot of questions! " — he gently squeezes your hands, his warm next to yours.
You talk about everything and he always comments saying "incredible" or "impressive", he invites himself to your country and you are clearly going to take him.
At a moment in their friendly life, you make tea with typical leaves from your region and he obviously tastes it, this boy loves it so much that he wanted to drink the whole jar!
Miguel O’hara
Tumblr media
Miguel was on his floating floor working, he talks to Lyla about the new recruit, when she tells him that you are Latin American he arches an eyebrow with his hands on his hips, an almost invisible smile appears on his face always tense from work hard.
You arrive to introduce yourself to Miguel, you were nervous to see him, you knew the reputation he had, an explosive man full of rules, when he comes down from his floating floor along with Lyla chattering in his ear, he dismisses her so he can speak normally with you, he walks around swinging his huge body from side to side and… does he have a smile on his face? You can't believe it, maybe the rumors are just rumors, or did he go for it?
"Nice to meet you Miguel… I'm y/n" — your voice breaks feeling his strong presence, his huge body making a shadow in front of yours.
" Pleasure y/n welcome… " — his voice was soft, despite being an explosive man he wanted to make a good first impression.
You couldn't help but smile, he was trying to be friendly but his still serious face scared you a little and his huge stature made you a little intimidated. When the conversation goes on to get to know you better, he accidentally lets out a low laugh, he rolls his eyes realizing that he has let his guard down, the subject you were talking about was typical foods, how much he loved empanadas, you are his favorite and that one of his relatives prepared so perfectly, the subject rolls over to Latin dances and music.
Man, you may not know it, but he felt right at home when he spoke to you, and if you spoke Spanish… this man would only speak to you in Spanish.
If you guys start dating, he loves to whisper in Spanish randomly in your ear.
"Mierda mi amor te ves tan hermosa hoy” — he had a hoarse voice, and lets out a purr at the end of the sentence. And it makes you go crazy in the head! 🙊
Translation of his sentence:
"Damn, my love, you look so beautiful today"
.
.
.
(In case something is different, know that I'm Latin! Just letting you know haha)

______________________________________________________________
"I just can't do that anymore"
Ona's voice, coming from your phone make your heart go heavier. You know how she feels about you always being away from your shared penthouse at Barcelona. Well actually you are away from Spain, and today even from Europe.
It’s been three years since your record company managed to place a Spanish band in the international market. Yours. So, now that it’s launched and that it’s been months that you are at the top of the charts, no one hesitates to make you travel to all the countries of the world, without stopping.
It’s been three years since you and your band arrived here by chance, when one of your single ended up on a summer hit. Since then, it has never stopped. In three years you have released two albums and you have made three world tours. You’re exhausted, physically and emotionally. But you made the mistake of not reading carefully the clauses of your contract, too happy to be able to live your dream.
Well, the dream slowly turned into a nightmare. Away from Ona for months now, you were supposed to return to Barcelona in two days to finally have a few weeks of rest. Except that your agent found it more interesting to impose televisions and various promotions in Japan, preventing you from returning from England where you currently are to Ona.
Yet, it was what you expected the most since the day you left her at the airport.
"I’m sorry" you whisper, feeling your throat squeeze. "I can always…"
"No, Y/N. I can’t stand it anymore. I can’t. There are no more ways out"
"What do you mean?"
You know what she means and you’ve been terrified of hearing that sentence for weeks. You’ve known Ona since you were a teenager, one night when you felt lonely and couldn’t sleep, you came across her blog. You don’t know what prompted you to write a comment to which she replied and you started chatting like that. Realizing that you were both from Barcelona, you met and the rest is history.
"I think we need to break up"
"No! Ona please we can work through this. Please. I need you, I can't lose you."
"It's better this way. I'm so sorry"
You don’t think you heard Ona’s voice shake in this way before and you are convinced that she is crying, too.
"Onita please… don’t do this"
"I’m sorry. I have no choice"
"Why? Did you… Did you met someone else?"
Ona has a sad laugh and you can perfectly picture her shaking her head sadly.
"Of course not. It has nothing to do with that. But it’s getting worse every time. It’s been going on for three years."
"It’s not my fault" you whisper softly.
"I know"
A new silence sets in and you hope that your girlfriend is thinking and changing her mind. You know you wouldn’t stand a breakup with her. Ona has been your lighthouse in the dark forever. She’s the most important person in your life.
"I have to go, the team is waiting for me. I think it’s better if we don’t write or call each other for a while."
"Ona wait…"
"No, Y/N. It’s over"
"I love you"
Ona doesn’t answer you, but the breath you hear on the phone confirms that she’s crying. She hangs up after a few seconds and you remain motionless for long minutes, stunned. You are dress for your next performance, your presence on stage being required in about twenty minutes. Fortunately your mascara is waterproof and it’s not necessary to redo it when your friend and guitarist enters the room.
"Y/N?"
"Ona just broke up with me" you say, looking at him through the mirror.
And with that, the sobs that were until now stuck in your throat suddenly come out. In a few seconds you find yourself transformed into a crying mess, hugged by Juan. He’s your best friend, even if your fans imagine you together. The record company has forbidden you to reveal your homosexuality and has fun supporting the rumors of romance between you two, claiming that it helps the group’s popularity.
"I’m so tired. I just want to go home" you manage to say in between sobs.
Said house being mostly Ona. Making a grimace, Juan caresses your hair. You are not the only one to be exhausted by the frantic pace imposed by your record company. Juan, your drummer Marco and your bass player Ricardo are just as exhausted as you.
"I know" is all he can tell you before someone of the staff come looking for you.
Your manager looks at you coldly seeing the state in which you are and hands you a tissue for you to arrange the draws. He doesn’t ask you what’s going on. He doesn’t care. You just know that if you don’t perform properly, you’re going to get yelled at.
******
"Are you sure you want to watch this? We can switch channels if you want" Cata kindly assures while looking carefully at Ona.
The brunette shakes her head negatively, stuck against Alexia who passed a protective arm around her. Ona was unable to hide your breakup from her teammates, she’s just as devastated as you are. They had planned an evening to watch the charity concert that you and your group are attending, installed in Lucy’s apartment.
After exchanging a look between them, they finally decided to leave the same channel, the artists walking one after the other. Since this is a charity concert, you had the opportunity to cover a song by one of the featured artists. Your group choose a song by Katy Perry, "The One who get away", a slower version than the original. If you had known, you would have made another choice.
After avoiding a nervous breakdown, you go sit on the stool in the middle of the stage. Juan at your side, you wait for his guitar to be tuned.
"She doesn’t look like she’s ok" Aitana begins, before being immediately shuts up when she meets Mapi’s murderous gaze.
Feeling Ona tense against her, Alexia gently tightens her against her as Ingrid starts to stroke her hair. At the same time, the song starts and you wonder how you are going to finish it. Your hands are shaking, your throat is clenched and you have trouble looking up at the crowd in front of you.
From the end of the first chorus, you have tears in your eyes and at the end of the second you feel a tear roll on your cheek. Despite Juan’s whispers of encouragement, you’re unable to hold her any longer. When the song finally comes to an end, you have the impression that every person who has looked at you has been able to read into you and realize how destroyed you are. And you hate it.
After greeting the audience with the three boys, you let yourself be taken backstage by Ricardo. Juan tries not to make too friendly gestures towards you in public, knowing how much it hurts you and Ona to see everyone jump on these kinds of moments to support their theory.
********
The ride back to your hotel room was awful. All along the way in the van, your manager yelled at you so much that for the first time the boys rebelled against him. It surprised you but also made you very feel loved and cared. They’re the reason you haven’t dumped everything yet, you don’t have the courage to betray them by leaving. If you had been alone, it would have been different. But they are your childhood friends, more like brothers.
You haven’t looked at your phone once since you got back to your room an hour ago when someone knocked on your door. You know Ona won’t contact you. You have no interest in looking at it. You don’t answer when you hear a knock a second time, then a third time. And you don’t move either when the door of your room opens anyway a few minutes later. Juan went to ask for a copy of your magnetic card at reception, not hearing you open.
"We need to talk Y/N."
"Don’t want to" is the only sentence you manage to get out of your mouth.
Rolled up in a ball under your sheets, your cushion tight between your arms and your head resting on the plush lion that Ona offered you years ago, you only want to stay here until the end of time.
"We talked, with the guys," said Juan, regardless of what you just said. "We think you have to go."
You need a few seconds to realize what he just said.
"What?"
"I booked you a plane to Barcelona. You have six hours to pack and go to the airport. Marco takes charge of the manager and Ricardo makes sure the way is clear, but you’ll have to go out from this shit. You and Ona are more important than all this bullshit. Go take your girl back."
********
It is 7am when you land in Barcelona and 8am when you arrive on the doormat of your shared penthouse. You don’t have the key, usually Ona picks you up at the airport and opens you. You didn’t think about it until now. You’re too afraid to lose them somewhere in a hotel room on the other side of the world. But despite your doorbells, no one comes to open.
So you resolve to sit on your doormat and wait for Ona’s return. Your phone is out of battery, preventing you from contacting someone close to your girlfriend. You don’t know where she is and it awakens your fear that she actually found someone else. If that’s what pushed her to break up with you, it will be even harder to fix things.
Exhausted, you let yourself go against the door frame, your feet leaning on the other side. New tears roll over your cheeks and you are so tired that you start to doze.
"Y/N?"
Ona’s incredulous voice wakes you with a start and you bang your head against the handle of the front door while getting up. Your face fell when you realize that Ona is accompanied by a pretty brunette, who looks at you with curiosity. Is she the one she left you for? Why is she here? It lasts a few seconds, until Alexia comes out of the elevator too. Mechanically massaging the part of the skull you just banged, you continue to observe the unknown.
"What are you doing here?"
Ona's question makes you shift your attention to her and you cannot say why, but you cannot gather your ideas. Yet her tone is neither harsh nor accusing, quite the contrary.
"I…"
Reacting first, Alexia slips between Ona and you by seizing the keys Ona was holding and opens the door, making enter everyone. Seeing you struggling to get your suitcases, Ona bends down mechanically to help you get everything in.
"You never met my girlfriend, I think?" Alexia looks at you, maybe realizing what’s happening in your head. "This is Olga. Olga, this is Y/N."
You simply acquiesce but Olga hug you with a smile and you hug her back akwardly, the relief making you feel like you're hovering a thousand meters from the ground. Ona hasn’t met someone else. Just like she said.
"I think we’re going to leave you. Are you going to be okay?"
The look that Ona and Alexia exchange lasts a few seconds, before the captain decides that she can actually leave you both. She hugs you too before delicately closing the door behind Olga and her.
"You look exausted. Maybe you should go take a nice hot shower?"
You carry your eyes with heavy eyelids over Ona, shaking your head negatively. You honestly don’t know how long you will endure this sleepless journey, but you also don't know how long you will be able to stay with Ona. She can leave at any time.
"Come sit down, at least"
You feel a heat wave invading your body at the exact spot where Ona puts her hand on your arm to train you in the living room. You let yourself go on the couch, Ona settling next to you.
"You didn’t answer me. What are you doing here?"
"I left" you just whisper. "The boys helped me get out of the hotel and to the airport. Juan booked me a plane and I called my manager to tell him that I was leaving once on the plane. I was too afraid that he would hold me back"
"Wait, when you say you left…"
"I… quit? Broke the contract, call it what you want"
Ona looks at you with disbelief. She never gave you an ultimatum about your career, because she knew you had no choice.
"I should have done this before. But I couldn’t betray the boys" you whisper without being able to look at her.
A new silence settles and you end up lifting your eyes on Ona. She was looking at you attentively and you plunge your gaze into hers for a few seconds.
"I came to ask you for a second chance. I know things have been super complicated between us, especially these past few weeks. But I can’t live without you, Ona. I’ll do anything. I swear."
Ona’s face softens. Your eyes close when you feel her hand on your cheek, your whole body in search of any source of comfort from her. She stroke your cheek with her thumps, making you shivers.
"Do you know why I never asked you to choose between music and me?"
Without opening your eyes, you shake your head negatively. Ona’s voice is soft and helps you to calm down a little.
"Because I know how much you like it"
"I love you more"
You open your eyes even though your whole body is asking you not to. You’re exhausted and wondering what you might look like. Ona certainly saw you in a better light. She continues to look at you elsewhere, a few seconds of silence settling between you.
"I love you too" she ended up whispering. "But we’ll finish this conversation later, I think you need to sleep before you lose consciousness."
Without really giving you a choice, she gets up from the couch and makes you follow her, gently grabbing your hand. You let yourself be guided to your room, in which she helps you put on pajamas before letting you go to cool off in your bathroom. You don’t leave her figure with your eyes, even through the mirror while washing your teeth, fearing that she will disappear. But no, she waits patiently for you, sitting at the feet of your bed.
"Will you be there when I wake up?" you ask in a hesitant tone, finding the inimitable comfort of your bed.
Ona nods and even smiles as you slip under the sheets. Installed on your side, you can’t bring yourself to leave her eyes. That she still agrees to stay by your side despite everything makes you as happy as it terrifies you. She broke up with you less than 24 hours ago and didn’t really confirm to you that something was still possible between you. She said she loves you, but is that enough?
"I can hear you thinking from here"
With an arched eyebrow, Ona observes you with a semblance of severity.
"I’m just scared" you mumble without taking your eyes off her.
"Of what?"
"Losing you forever. You’re the most important thing in my life, I shouldn’t have waited until I lost you to fix things. You deserve the best, of course, but give me time to show you that I can offer it to you."
Softly biting her lip, Ona advances into the bed until she finds herself sitting on her knees, at the height of your chest.
"I’m not going anywhere Bebita"
"Does that mean you believe enough in us to give us another chance?"
As before, Ona’s face softens and is soon dress with one of her most beautiful smiles. You wrote in one of your song that only one of her smiles makes you feel better and that’s still the case today.
"I thought it was clear. Of course I want to give us a second chance."
You’re so relieved you might cry. In truth, real tears cost on your cheeks and you realize that when Ona leans over your cheeks to kiss them.
"Don’t cry. Rest. I’ll be there when you wake up later, and every other day."
As if to support her words, Ona slips with you under the cover and sticks you against her, in her arms. It doesn’t take long for you to fall into a deep sleep, lulled by her caresses on your back, the softness of her hair that sometimes tickles your cheek and the smell of her perfume and shower gel.
*********
When you wake up, hours later, you need some time to understand where you are. Only after that you realize that Ona isn’t here and you panic.
You stand from your bed so quickly that you fell, making a terrible noise. While you stand up, you here footsteps coming to you and you raise your head just in time to see Ona enter your bedroom.
"What happened?" she asks you, taking your hand in hers.
"You weren’t here, I thought you left" you mumble while looking at your feet.
But Ona make you look at her, tilting your face with her index.
"I’m here. I’m not going an where, I promised"
You nod, taking your phone on the floor. You have hundred missed call, messages and notifications everywhere.
"I made pasta, are you hungry?"
In reality you are not at all, but Ona took the time to prepare you to eat and you don’t want to disappoint her at all. Or give her the impression that she wasted her time. So you nod again before following her to the kitchen. You sit where she asks you to, wincing when you see the different messages from your manager. He’s really not happy. In truth, he is even completely furious. "Is everything all right?" asked Ona as she sat down in front of you, serving you a plate that would be enough to feed your entire neighborhood. "I’m in trouble" you sigh softly as you let yourself go against the backrest of your chair. "They will surely seek to press charges or make me pay" It will not be easy. Your gaze is lost on the bay window of your living room, giving a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea. It’s partly thanks to this incredible view that you decided to choose this apartment. But you are quickly pulled out of your thoughts by the hand of Ona which lands on yours. "It doesn’t matter mi Corazon. Remember? We don’t care about others... "As long as it's You and Me" you answer with a slight smile. That was your credo when you were both teenagers. And when you grew up it stayed, even if lately the geographical distance took precedence over the rest. Now that you have her in front of you, you wonder how you managed to stay so long away from her. "We’ll find you the best lawyer and I’ll be there every second you need me." "Thank you" you answer simply, throat knotted with emotions Ona smiles tenderly and you feel your heart soaring like a butterfly. You find it hard to believe the reality in which you find yourself. Last night, Ona told you she wanted to break up with you and less than twenty-four hours later, you find yourself in front of her, in your apartment, apparently free of any contract.
"Can I kiss you?" you mumble shyly.
"Since when do you have to ask?" Ona laughs.
You shrug and smile too, inviting her to come to sit on your lap. Ona did and you pass your hand around her smaller frame.
Ona gently puts her hand in your hair, making you shiver.
"What do you want to do now?" Ona ask gently.
"Come see you play at the stadium, eat tortilla de patatas, go to the beach… Catch up on my sleep, if possible with the most beautiful woman in the world next to me."
"Did you already call her?" jokes the Spanish.
You roll your eyes before giving her a little kick on the thigh.
"As if you didn’t know it was you" you snorts before gently kissing her cheek.
"You missed."
Ona’s amused smile makes you smile back and you put your lips on hers this time. It’s a sensation you haven’t felt in far too long. Ona all against you, her skin against yours, her inimitable perfume. She is everything that count for you, well beyond your music group, your success and that we forgive you but obviously well above your fans.
"I’m so in love with you" Ona whispers against your lips.
"Certainly not as much as I am" you answer with a smile.
As you predicted, the record company, your producer and even your manager will launch legal proceedings against you. But thanks to Alexia’s lawyer, you managed to get away with it without much damage. Honestly, you didn’t care about losing money, all you wanted was to be able to get your freedom back.
Like you, the boys came back to Barcelona after the group disbanded. They formed another one for a while, with another singer, but they finally turned the page, claiming it’s not the same without you. None of the three resent you and you still see them regularly.
A few months after you left the band, you came out on social media. Without giving all the details either, you and Ona have not made an official announcement for your couple. You attend almost all of Ona’s matches, sometimes making the trip abroad with her and the team. You post what you want to post on social networks, photos of your holidays, your moments spent with your friends or with Ona, obviously.
It’s fun to see people wondering about your relationship, but you appreciate that they do it with someone you really are. Which you’re extremely in love with and extremely proud of. Wag’s life suits you perfectly, especially when the woman you follow is as perfect as Ona.

I Need You \\ alexia putellas x morgan!reader
Tumblr media
July 2022
International break wasn’t your favourite time. Since you and Alexia play for different national teams, you are competing in different competitions over the summer. You’re playing in the CONCACAF championship and Alexia in the Euros. Of course you text, call and facetime each other but on some days it’s just not enough.
You are currently at breakfast sitting at the table containing Alex, Charlie, Kelley, Mal, Sonnett and Kristie. You all somehow got onto the topic of everyone’s partners and the girls are teasing you about Alexia.
“Auntie Y/N/N, where’s Aunt Lex?” Your niece Charlie questions as she climbs onto your lap, visibly upset.
“She plays for Spain remember bubba. She’s in England for the Euros”
“Oh” Charlie frowns as you tighten your arms around the 2 year old.
“But you are going to visit her soon okay?” Charlie nods and cuddles into you more.
You get back to eating breakfast, with Charlie stealing some of your toast when your phone rings from next to you. Charlie looks down and gets excited because she sees Alexia’s face on the contact photo. You move away to the side of the room, away from your teammates so you can hear Alexia.
“Bebé? I need you here. It hurts” Alexia pleads, almost sounding like she’s been crying.
“What hurts Ale? What happened” You start to panic and start pacing in the converted dining hall, which some of your teammates become worried as you are speaking Spanish fast.
“My knee. I did my ACL. I’ve been waiting for this for years and now it’s out the window” Tears start forming in your eyes and you blink them away.
“I’ll talk to Vlatko and he should let me come home, seeing as it is a family emergency. If not, it’ll be after the first game. I’m so sorry hermosa” You sit down against a wall, slightly away from your table.
Vlatko looks over at the mention of his name. You wave him off and he nods in consideration. You talk to Alexia for a few more minutes until she says Mapi is there. You tell Alexia to put Mapi on the phone.
“Maps you take care of her until I get there. I don’t care what you do but stay with her please” You beg your best friend.
“Sí, I’ll do everything I can Y/N/N, you know that. We’ll see you soon. Ale wants to say something” You hear some mumbling then your loving fiancés voice again.
“Please hurry mi amor. I really need you” Alexia begs you.
You’ve never heard her voice like that in the whole 5 years of being together. You know in that moment, you need to get to her. And you need to get to her fast. You turn around to see Alex gesturing that they need you back.
“I’ll be there as soon as I can baby. Te amo mucho hermosa and I’ll see you soon” You say as you walk back to the table. You throw your phone down and rest your head on your arms.
“Everything okay?” Alex whispers as she leans into you and Charlie attempts to climb back on your lap.
“Lex tore her ACL. Mapi texted me while I was speaking to her, she hasn’t even cried yet”
“Let’s listen to the staff so you can get outta here”
After the short meeting, Vlatko pulls you aside and says you can go to Alexia. He says you can come back and play when you’re ready, if you’re ready. You thank him and Vlatko gets everyones attention so you can make the announcement.
“Can I have everyone’s attention? I just want to say how proud I am of everyone here. As your co-captain I really hate to do this to you all but I have no choice. I know that you all will succeed and listen to Becky. I am leaving camp because Alexia has been injured very badly about 3 hours ago. She will most likely need surgery so I am leaving to hopefully be there by the time she wakes up. I’m not sure if I’ll come back for any games, but ultimately it will decide on how Alexia is doing”
You say your goodbyes to everyone before racing up to your room and gathering your things together. You book a flight to London and get the hotel name off of Mapi. You get changed out of your USA gear and order an uber. You wheel your luggage to the foyer of the hotel when you hear a little voice call your name.
“Aunt Y/N/N!” You turn around and see Charlie running as fast as she can towards you. What you don’t see is the entire team at the entrance of the conference room watching on. You bend down and scoop the nearly 3 year old in your arms.
“Where you going?” Charlie inquires.
“Auntie Ale hurt her knee baby so I have to go make sure she’s okay” You explain.
“Okay, give Auntie Ale this?” Charlie holds her toy you both got her when she was born.
“Mr Monkey will help her knee gets better!” The team laughs at Charlie and you put it in your backpack.
“He’s all safe in here. I’ll see you soon okay?”
You say goodbye to your sister before getting in an Uber to the airport. On the way to the airport, you text Alexia for a while and she only replies with one or two word answers, this is worse than you thought. You called Alexia’s sister Alba and she explains what’s going to happen with the surgery and what hospital. You ask Alba to text you any updates while you’re travelling and she replies with ‘of course I will y/n/n 😊’.
After the usual airport routine of bag drops and long security and custom lines, you finally sit in the seat you’ll be in for the next 12 hours. You quickly text Alba to let her know you’re on your way. The plane lands 12 hours later, you arrive in a gloomy London. After collecting your bags, you into hop into the closest taxi and give the driver the hotel name. When you arrive, you ask the taxi man to stay as you’ll only be a few minutes. Thankfully he agrees and you make a mental note to left a big tip for him later. You check into the hotel and left your bags behind the desk. You remember to get Mr Monkey out of your backpack before going back to the taxi. You tell the taxi driver the hospital and watch the scenery as it passes by. The taxi driver pulls up to an entrance and you give him all your cash before running inside. You look around and can’t seem to find the desk. After what feels like turning a million and one corners, you are met with the in patients desk.
“Hi, my wife Alexia Putellas came in. Where is she?”
“Ah yes, let me search that for you...she’s just gotten out of surgery a few hours ago so you can wait in the family area just around the corner”
You thank the nurse and take a deep breath before going to the family area. Palms sweaty and slightly out of breath, you turn the corner and see Alba and Eli. You walk quickly and sit across from them. Eli looks up at you with a relieved look on her face.
“Thank goodness you’re here sweetheart. She won’t let any of us in until she sees you first” Eli tells you and you frown at the comment. You are confused at the same time because Alexia is really close with her mom and sister.
You get the room number from Eli and start to make your way to Alexia’s room. You count down the room numbers until you reach room 1411. You take a deep breath before softly knock on the door. You open it slowly to see Alexia looking out the window, not bothering to see who’s coming in.
“Mi amor” Alexia’s head whips around and her eyes soften. Like she’s relieved that you’re there with her and not another nurse or doctor.
You walk around to her good side to give her a tight hug. After a few minutes, you try to pull away but Alexia doesn’t let go. Eventually, she lets you go and attempts to move over in her bed so you can stay as close to her as possible.
“Are you sure? I don’t want to hurt you” Alexia nods and you give her a kiss on her forehead before carefully manoeuvring yourself in her bed.
“I’m sorry I took so long. The plane was delayed then there was a stor-”
“You’re here now, that’s all that matters. I’m sorry I pulled you away from your team” Alexia frowns after she realises what happened.
“Baby, you are more important than anyone or any soccer tournament. If you’re hurting, I’m going to be on the first plane out” Alexia cuddles into you more and you kiss her forehead.
“Have you seen Eli or Alba yet?” You feel Alexia shake her head and you ask if she wants to see them. You give Alexia a soft kiss before going to get her mom and sister.
A few hours later, after conversations on Alexia’s rehab and you going back to Mexico, Alba reaches behind you and holds Mr Monkey, looking confused.
“What’s this?” You look at Alexia and she slightly smiles as she knows exactly who it came from.
“When I was leaving, Charlie asked where I was going and I said I need to see Aunt Ale, she hurt her knee. Charlie said Mr Monkey can help her knee get better” Alba gives it to Alexia and she tucks it under her arm. You take a sneaky photo and send it to Alex to show Alexia.
A nurse comes in and says visiting hours are over but mentions you can stay due to being Alexia’s partner. Eli and Alba bid their goodbyes to you both and promise to visit first thing tomorrow. As soon as Alba and Eli leave, Alexia breaks down in tears. She tightens her arm around you and you do the same around her. You just hold Alexia and kiss her forehead while whispering sweet nothings to her.
“Let it all out babe. Let it all out” You say trying to comfort Alexia.
After a while, she lifts her head and sees the massive tear stain on your grey hoodie.
“I’m sorry mi amor” Alexia apologies after seeing your hoodie.
“It’ll dry Ale. More importantly, are you okay?” You asked worriedly.
“I am now. I just needed to let it all out. Thank you hermosa. Te amo mucho” Alexia expresses before kissing you softly.
“I love you too Ale. We will get through this together” You hold Alexia tight until you both falling asleep.
February 2023 (lets pretend its not the World Cup year)
7 months later and Alexia and you are finally coming back to training together. You park your newly bought Cupra in the Barca car park and you look over at Alexia. She was staring at the training fields in front and is frozen in place, only blinking and breathing. Your hand on her thigh makes Alexia jump and look at you with anxiety filled eyes.
“What’s wrong Ale?” You ask softly, turning in your seat, facing Alexia fully.
“I’m scared. What if it happens again?” Alexia replies looking.
“Mi amor look at me” Alexia looks up and you cup her cheeks gently.
“You are Alexia Putellas Segura. You will kick trainings arse today. I am so proud of you mi amor” Alexia leans forward and kisses you before you hear knocking on both sides of the car.
You both pull away to see Mapi and Ingrid laughing to themselves. You and Alexia get out and you quickly grab both of your bags.
“Bebé, I’m not on crutches anymore. I can get my own bag”
“Just because you can baby, doesn’t mean you should” As you walk away, Alexia’s heart skips a beat at the gesture.
You all walk into the locker room and the girls in there cheer at their captain walking through the door for the first time in a while. She tells them to quit it and they stop immediately, with you trying to hide your giggle at your cubby. Everyone gets changed and walks out to the field where now all the staff are clapping her out. Alexia turns to you and hides in your neck.
“Embrace it mi amor, la reina is back” You whisper to her before kissing her head.
Alexia participates in a few light drills with the team before going over for her 1v1 training. She gives you a kiss on the cheek before starting to jog around the field. You and the other girls start scrimmage and Jonotan puts you, Kiera, Mapi, Ingrid and Cata as one team and Lucy, Oshoala, Pina, Rolfö and Panos on the other.
The scrimmage was going well until you went to pivot around Lucy and that’s when it all went wrong. Lucy catches you as you go down and you instantly felt pain and you screamed as you went down. Alexia stops her drills as she looks over and see you on the ground. She apologises to the staff and runs over to you as quickly as she can. You couldn’t stop holding your right knee with one hand and banging your fist one the ground with the other. The medics tell you to turn over and you block out the sun with your hands but also wipe your tears away subtly. You feel familiar hands on your back and you look to see Alexia. The medics and a few of your teammates lift you on the stretcher that takes you straight to the hospital. Alexia gives one look to Jonotan and he nods at her to say ‘forget training and go with her’. Alexia runs into the training room and grabs her phone and a little something special that will cheer you up later on that she hides in her hoodie.
After countless hours in the hospital, it came to the conclusion that you torn your ACL. You are exactly how Alexia was, closed off and not speaking to anyone except each other. You rest your head on Alexia’s chest and cuddle up to her the best you can, when you both hear a soft knock on the door. You look towards it and see Lucy, Keira, Mapi and Ingrid. You wave them in and balloons, teddy bears and flowers decorated your view.
“What did they say?” Lucy asks.
“ACL” All 4 of your closest friends winced at the three letters then instantly got a sad look on their faces.
You all converse until a nurse comes in to tell you that visiting hours are over. All the girls hug you tightly and say they’ll visit after the game tomorrow. Alexia leans down and gives you a sweet kiss.
“We will get through this together mi amor. Te amo mucho”
“Te amo Ale” They all start to walk out of the room, then Alexia remembered something.
“Oh bebé, so your knee is all better”
Alexia places Mr Monkey with your phone next to you. You smile at Ale and decide to send your sister photos of your condition.

Driver Picks the Music, Shotgun Shuts Their Cakehole

The eerie music of the podcast played in the background as the characters spoke. A man, who was apparently a doctor, talking (though he sounded just like the patient from the earlier part of the podcast) with the confused woman, a doctor herself…from the future?
“Let’s see, ‘Case 63’. It says your name is Eliza Beatrix Knight. You were admitted at 7:22 p.m. on November 24th. You were found naked at JFK airport in one of the bathrooms in Terminal 8 with paranoid ideations and confusion. You told a curious story about the end of the world in the future—“
“But the—the future??” She definitely sounded confused and a bit distressed.
“Yes, the future.” The doctor answered.
“Oh…wait. Wait. Okay. Wh—what year is it now?”
“You don’t know what year it is?”
“What year is it?” The woman repeated, a little agitated.
“It’s 2012, Ms. Knight.”
The only sound, other than the credits of the podcast, was the droning of wheels on pavement as you and Jake headed down the road. You had nearly begged Jake to listen to the podcast after you got back on the road from the last stop. You looked over to Jake, smirking as you studied his stoic, contemplative look. He suddenly let out a huff of a laugh, shifting in the driver's seat a bit.
“What?” you asked him, a little unsure of what to make of his reaction.
“That’s like…2 hours of my life I’ll never get back.”
“What?! Oh come on, you can’t be serious. That was a good show!” You insisted, mock offense on your face (though not entirely mocked).
“Mira, amor. It was…interesting, but just not my kinda thing. I mean, the guy was just bullshitting the whole time.” He shrugged, keeping hold of the steering wheel, his other elbow propped on the ledge of the window.
“Bullshitting??? Ugh, whatever. Putting it back on your old man music. Keep listening to this and I’ll have to put you in a home soon.” You teased as you reopened the music app and started his playlist. Frank Sinatra came to life in the speakers.
“‘Old man music’? These songs are classics and timeless. So are the dance moves.” He smirked glancing over at you, seeing your pout fighting off a grin. “I know you like it when I dance with you, corazón. Don’t hear you complaining then.”
“Because I have you to distract me from it.” Looking at the map on your phone, you tried to see how much further until the next stop.
You and Jake had been planning this trip for a while, just you, him, and the open road. The only thing that wasn’t accounted for, though, was Jake’s determination to pick the music, the snacks, and the places to stop. It wasn’t too obvious at first, especially when he was pointing out some pretty fun locations to go to, but it seemed like any time you made a suggestion, he would try and convince you to do something else. It was cute, with a bit of poking and some laughs about Jake being hard-headed, but the further into this trip you got, the more it started to bother you. Looking at the map, the both of you would be arriving pretty soon at the last motel before making the last trek to the final destination on the trip “itinerary”, Antelope Canyon.
~*~*~*~
Weeks Earlier
After you had mentioned going on a road trip, Jake took it upon himself to check out potential places and possible things to do there. Nothing had been discussed in earnest yet, but Jake's (and his headmates’) curiosity got the better of them. Vegas was discussed, San Francisco, and the Rocky Mountains, among other potential options. It wasn’t until Marc suggested the Grand Canyon that things really started rolling. Jake had in his mind that the Grand Canyon, while grand was honestly boring. He hadn’t expected Steven to agree with him, so the three began to look at other locations.
That’s when they found it. Antelope Canyon. Now that was a destination.
Steven offered to do the research since he actually enjoyed reading endless pages of websites or books, but Jake insisted that he would take care of everything. Looking through hiking reservations and things to do in the area around the canyon, Jake had started to really enjoy planning it all. He just knew you’d be excited for it all.
That is…until he read an article about some of the facts about the canyon and its geography. According to the article, the canyon was prone to flooding. Seeing that word made his blood run cold and his heart begin to pound. When he noticed his hand clenched tightly into a fist he had to consciously relax it. It was fairly understandable that if it rained in the area of the canyon then of course water collected, but the part that worried him and his headmates was that it could be dry in the canyon but rain elsewhere, and the canyon could still have a flash flood. There had even been ladders installed in the canyon for people to grab onto and climb to higher ground. At first, they were wooden, but those broke all too easily. They've since been replaced with metal ladders. Plenty of people had lost their lives to this all too familiar force of nature.
Once Jake learned about this, he began looking heavily into the weather of the area and the best time to go. Planning for the driest possible month that he could and making sure the projected weather was clear as it could be. Jake’s not delusional by any means, he knows that weather can be unpredictable so far in advance, but he had to try. Jake started to check the weather religiously to make sure things would work in his favor. He wasn’t taking any chances, wasn’t going to put the system in danger, and definitely wasn’t going to pull you along with them. He wouldn’t let that happen…not again.
So it was settled. Route. Destination. Activities. And the window of time they had to arrive.
~*~*~*~
Present
You both had been talking about taking a road trip for a while now and it wasn’t until a week or so ago that the two of you started talking and planning in earnest. Jake was the one that picked the route since he insisted on driving the whole way, but to your surprise, he also picked the destination -  even going as far as to look at weather reports for the times that you two would be there. That left you to pick the snacks and the fun touristy stops along the way, giant rubber band ball-type attractions, that’s what road trips are all about right? Hearing you get excited by each new place you found along Jake’s route gave him the softest and warmest smile. This was how every night was spent leading up to the trip, you and him sitting on the couch, your legs over his, or laying in bed, his arm around you and getting giggly from all the excitement, an extended trip with your partner, your Jake.
What you didn’t know, and what you’ve rarely seen, was how Jake was stealing glances at you. He wasn’t exactly the talkative one in the relationship, but he didn’t mind, not when he could just observe and admire your energy. The smile on his face was content like waking up at your own pace in a comfy, warm bed. These simple moments were what Jake enjoyed most, these mundane, everyday moments. He never asked for much and he never needed much, so when he found you and you decided that you would give him your love, well that was all he could have ever asked for.
~*~*~*~
Pulling into the motel parking lot, the silence that Jake thought was comfortable was not so for you. Stewing away at how nitpicky Jake was being, how he was nearly dictating what you both did on the trip with almost no regard to what you wanted. You knew it wasn’t because he was trying to be mean.  Jake liked to have control of situations. Having control meant a certain level of safety, and that’s just how his mind worked, protecting himself, protecting the system…protecting you. What you couldn’t understand was why. What sort of danger could come from the wrong kind of chip or soda being bought at the gas station?
You both grabbed your bags from the trunk and went into the room, starting each of your nightly routines…still, in silence, save for the small T.V.  that had been turned on to some local news station. Then Jake chimed in on what side of the bed he would be sleeping on. You didn’t need him to tell you. You knew he would take the side closest to the window and door, that’s the side he always took.
“I know what side you sleep on. You don’t have to tell me!” you snapped not too unkindly. Funny how the bed would be the final straw. Jake stepped out of the bathroom. He was only half undressed as he was getting ready to shower (he thought showering with you, but the tone in your voice had him second-guessing).
“Mi tesoro, ¿qué pasa? If you want to skip the shower that’s fine, babe, just say so.” He fixed you with a confused look.
“Oh? So that I can decide?”
“Cariño, what are you saying? I don’t play head games, get it out. Start making sense or I’m go–”
“This whole trip…the whole trip, you have been so picky about everything. Where we stop, where we don’t stop, what snacks to get, where to stay and almost every time I suggest something you shoot it down. If it’s not your way it’s the highway is that it?” That was one thing that you were happy for in your relationship with Jake, and it certainly took some time to get to this point. Jake was right, he didn’t like playing head games. He didn’t like the whole “you should know what’s wrong” bit. He was never fully open about his own feelings, but clear communication? He was a staunch advocate. He wanted to know what was wrong, what was right, how he could meet you in the middle, all of it.
Hearing this outburst, his muscles tensed ever so slightly, his jaw tensing more. Jake tossed his shirt on the bed as he came over to his duffel bag, grabbing his toiletries bag, and starting back into the bathroom. “I’ve been picky. Picky. Dios, ¿eso es todo? And that’s what’s got you all worked up, just because I’m picky.”
“Just because. Worked up. This was supposed to be a fun trip and it is, it was! But damn it, Jake, it’s not fun for me when you can’t let go for two seconds. Nothing’s going to happen if we stop at some honey farm or a fruit stand or a fucking huge ball of twine!” The floodgates open, as you let out the building frustration from the past couple of days. It felt good to get it out, so it wasn’t buzzing around in your head any longer. Jake had been leaning against the bathroom counter, shoulders tense and hunched as he looked at himself in the mirror. You don’t know if Marc or Steven has anything to say about your outburst, if he’s listening to them, and right now that’s the least of your concerns.
You could see his jaw flexing and clenching as the gears were turning in his head, trying to come up with something to say.
“You want me to let go? Want me to just let things happen? Fine,” he threw his hands up. “Yeah, I’ll let go as soon as you learn some restraint. Think you can handle that for one more day? Hmm? You knew what you were getting into when you looped me into whatever you want to call this relationship.” He looked at you in the reflection as he grabbed what he needed and went to finally get in the shower.
“Fine. Sounds fantastic. Maybe tomorrow you can work on getting the stick out of your ass and actually enjoy the hike instead of worrying if a lizard’s going to be within thirty feet of us. Yeah, enjoy your shower.” You huff, going and sitting on the bed to watch T.V. while you wait for your turn with the shower. Flipping through the channels didn’t produce anything worth watching so you settled on the news again. Sometimes on the trip, you and Jake would shower together, make out, actually bathe, or both, and just enjoy those little moments. That was not in the plans tonight and you weren’t even sure how the bed situation would work tonight, there being only one, probably not a lot of cuddling.
Relationships have their rocky moments, that’s to be expected to some degree, but talking to each other and coming to an understanding…maybe once you both cool off you can have a more constructive conversation. Until then, you both needed some time to let the emotions come down from their boil, maybe on the drive tomorrow you two could talk, sort things out, otherwise it was going to be a long trip back to New York.
Jake eventually got out of the shower, curls wet and slicked back, and only in his underwear. You were upset with him, so stop looking at him like that…with all his muscles and tan skin and inky curls that started to spring back from their slicked state. You tried to shake it off as you got off the bed without a word to go for your own shower. Jake watched you go and once he heard the water start he sat on the edge of the bed, head in his hands as he and his headmates tried to help come up with a way to salvage the trip. Sounds like partly cloudy days in the future.
~*~*~*~
That morning, after a not-so-pleasant night of sleeping as far away from each other as possible, though you're certain at some point in the night you could feel a strong hand gently caressing your shoulder, the two of you packed your things and got back on the road. It wasn’t much further to Antelope Canyon so the drive wasn’t terrible. It was certainly quiet though.
As Jake pulled into a parking space, he was the first to break the silence, gently grabbing your arm, stopping you as you started to get out of the car. When you look back at him it all started to flare up again. He’s stopped you from getting out of the car, decided things for you. You don’t mean to be on edge, it all just feels so raw.
“Lo lamento…realmente.” He says withdrawing his hand, holding it up to show he’s not keeping you, he only meant to get your attention, “We can talk about it on the hike, I just…I wanted to say it now. Before we get out there. I’m not expecting you to forgive me just because I said “I’m sorry”, I know I’m not the easiest person to live with, just ask Marc and Steven…” he paused, not entirely sure what else he could say. He really felt he was difficult to live with and he knew that his hypervigilance could get overbearing, but that’s something he intended to work on.
You listened to him, still feeling that boiling frustration, knowing that he meant it, he always means it. Jake clenched his fist, resting it against the gearshift trying to put the words together. “Let’s get out there…” He nodded, more to himself, gently hitting the gearshift with the side of his fist before getting out of the car to get the backpacks. While you grabbed yours Jake headed over to the information kiosk for maps, a weather radio, and to check in for the hike
~*~*~*~
It’s kind of amazing how being in a place like this could distract from the stresses you both came with. The smooth, waving walls of the canyon in those bright red and orange hues. It looks so ancient, mystical, alien, and absolutely breathtaking. You both were able to relax as you worked your way through trails, well you more than Jake who seemed to be clenching his jaw or muttering to himself (or Marc and Steven) a lot. Whatever it is they’re talking about, you hoped it wouldn't crop up into another argument, not when the hike had been going so well.
And that’s when it happened.
You suggested that you stop for a break, just to drink a little water, maybe eat a snack, take some pictures, or something, but Jake trudges ahead.
“We can go a little further, come on.” He said, pulling ahead now. It was as if the argument and his apology meant absolutely nothing to him. What in the hell was happening?! You never took Jake to go back on his apology or his word. Yes, the man would fib on occasion but he wouldn’t flat out lie like that…not to you.
“What? You have got to be kidding. After all that? For God’s sake, Jake you just couldn’t handle i,t could you? The whole hike you’ve been acting so uptight. Are you even enjoying this? This whole thing was your idea and now you have a look like someone just smelled the most gag-inducing stench.” You weren’t going to let it slide like you had in the car ride, you were going to call him out on it. This was your trip too and you wanted to go out and have fun. Which you were, but having a muttering cloud of gloom accompanying you was not helping.
Jake stopped, tilting his head back and looking to the sky, muttering more things (you couldn’t quite make it out, but it vaguely sounded like Spanish swearing), definitely a bit cloudy now but nothing too bad for now. Slowly, he lowered his head as he turned to look at you, regret clear on his face. “Amor, I swear this is the last time today…I uh, had looked up the trails online—just to be safe—I only meant…mierda…there’s a cool place up ahead. You've probably seen it in pictures, a beam of sunlight coming in…we can break there and after that…” he makes the motion of zipping his lips, tossing away the key, and holding up his hands in surrender.
Well, that was…unexpected. The worst part was, it was a good idea. With a huff you crossed your arms, contemplating the options and the fact that he really did mean what he said…he was trying, but you were still frustrated, and maybe(?)  going to this special place meant that the whole rest of the time Jake would just lighten up and you could actually contribute to the trip.
“Fine. Yeah, fine, let’s go to this “cool place” and we’ll take a break there.” You shook your head, conceding. “But after that, you have to let me have some say, Jake—“
“I will. Se lo juro. Just thought you would like it and taking a break there you can take it all in like you do.”
He stood there waiting for you to rejoin the hike. Thankfully the place wasn’t much further, just as he said, and you looked around in awe at how nature could make such enchanting views. You were enjoying it and taking it all in, just as he said.
You both started to take off your backpacks, taking out a blanket and some snacks and drinks for the little makeshift rest stop this little place was about to become. The thing that was most mesmerizing was the beam of light in question, and yet again, he was right. You stood there drinking your water watching this marvel of nature, this beam of light so precise and almost like a sspotlight The sunlight almost looked tangible, so letting the inner kid in you come out for a little fun, you stuck your hand into the sunlight. That wonderful, imaginative part of you almost expected to feel it, well feel something other than the warmth it brought. Like it should have been hard like a stone column or fluid yet weighty like a stream or waterfall.
“Alright, I’ll give it to you. This is a really cool place to rest for a bit. Sorry for blowing up like that again. If you know any more places like this we should stop at, let’s make a plan okay? Together. We’re supposed to be enjoying the hike right? Just like you s—“
When you turned to look at him, you were met with a sight that that imaginative part of you was absolutely not expecting.
Jake.
Down.
On one knee.
Holding a small, velvet-covered box.
You didn’t know what to do, so you just gaped at the sight. Nerves were clear on his face as he opened the little box.
“Nuestro amor. Nuestro sol. Nuestro corazón. I know now that I wasn't being fair to you on this trip and I truly am sorry. You’ve put up with me, with Marc, and Steven when we were absolutely not the easiest to put up with. You accepted us, all of us, and everything that comes with being with someone like us…and we couldn’t be more thankful to have such a patient, loving, and strong partner. Because God knows you have to be strong to have to deal with three grown man-children.” Jake chuckles breathily, hoping the joke would help his nerves (it didn’t), not until he heard you chuckle too. The corner of his mouth quirks slightly, letting that little moment of levity give him the breathing room for what was about to come next.
“Will you marry us?”
You stood there still stunned, but now tears were trickling down your cheeks. Yeah, there was a lot to deal with, mostly due to their collective tempers and vastly different ways of doing things among other quirks…but you weren’t perfect, not by a long shot. There were plenty of things you did or said that they had to put up with too. But that’s the beauty of it, right? People are flawed. They mess up. They find someone to love them and they grow together…to work at being together, because it’s not easy, nothing in life is ever easy…but loving them…even after every argument, disagreement, or misplaced frustration…that was easy. How could you not?
You stepped closer to Jake. The last of the system that you met and once you had, everything just felt complete. Now, here he was before you, on behalf of himself and his headmates, asking you to love them for the rest of their lives. And you said yes…how could you not? You said yes again, nodding your head as he came to his feet, a nervous smirk blooming into an ecstatic grin as he plucked the ring from its box and slipped it on your finger.
It was a simple silver band with three diamonds set into it…one for each of them. You held up your trembling hand to admire it, your heart thrumming with what it represented. Looking at Jake, you wrapped your arms around him, as he did the same to you, your lips meeting each other. So much love and passion shared between you. It felt too soon when you both pulled away to catch your breath. When you looked into his eyes you saw his own tears threatening to slip away and down his cheeks, and you also saw the tenderness and deep love that he and his headmates shared for you.
After another kiss (and another), you both stand there in the beauty of the moment.
“I love you,” you finally say.
“I love you too, luz de mi vida. Like you wouldn’t believe. So much, that I made sure to plan as much of the trip as I could to try and make it memorable…turns out I made it exhausting and should have just had you help plan it.” Jake couldn’t wipe the smile from his face if he tried, you said yes and now you had the rest of your lives to plan more trips.
“Definitely should have consulted me. I have a keen sense for adventure, you know?”
“Yeah, I know.”
“And we have plenty of time to plan trips, annoy each other, love each other…and on the ride back, we will be having the best adventure.” You smile wide before Jake leans in, giving you another kiss which you happily reciprocate.
“I can’t wait.”
A/N: Antelope Canyon has a tendency to flood. This can apparently happen even if the rain occurred miles away. The boys were not only nervous about the proposal but also flooding, hence the weather research, monitoring, and radio.

Request: POLYGLOT STEVE??? WHO SPEAKS FLUENT FRENCH, ITALIAN, KOREAN, POLISH, SPANISH, ENGLISH AND PORTUGUESE??? EDDIE CONSTANTLY BEING FLUSTERED AS HELL HE FINDS IT REALLY HOT THAT STEVE SORAKS SO MANY LANGUAGES AND HE WILL CASUALLY USE THEM IN CONVERSATION????? WITHOUT MEANING TOO???? LIKE HE'LL FORGET A WORD IN ENGLISH & SAY IT ANOTHER LANGUAGE WITHOUT REALIZING????
MY LOVE! OKAY SO LET ME PREFACE BY SAYING I AM A LAZY PIECE OF SHIT WHO DID NOT WANT TO EVEN ATTEMPT GOOGLE TRANSLATE BECAUSE IT IS OFTEN WRONG ANYWAY OKAY. Also, English is my first and only language (damn Americans amirite) and while I did take a year of Spanish and two years of French in high school, my auditory processing is so shit, I can pretty much barely get through an introductory conversation in those languages. But I tried to still make this cute and fun! - Mickala ❤️
-------------------------------------------------------
“Gówno!” Steve exclaimed from the kitchen.
“Everything okay?” Robin yelled from the couch.
Eddie looked at her with wide eyes.
“The fuck did he say?” he asked quietly, not wanting Steve to hear him.
“Shit.”
“No, what did he say?” Eddie asked again.
Robin stared at him, annoyed.
“He said, ‘shit’ in Polish.”
“Steve knows Polish?!”
Robin rolled her eyes and got up to physically check on Steve.
Eddie sat and stewed in this new knowledge.
But this was only the first of many surprises.
—-------------------
“Mama, no.” Steve’s voice came from his bedroom as Eddie made his way up the stairs.
His mom was here?
And then Eddie heard Steve speaking in…Spanish? It was too fast to tell for sure, but it definitely wasn’t English.
He peeked his head through the door, relaxing slightly when he saw Steve was on the phone.
Steve gestured for him to come in while he spoke, so Eddie slipped his shoes off and sat down on the bed, getting comfortable.
But then it sounded like Steve started talking in another different language.
It was close to Spanish, but some of it sounded almost French?
Eddie blinked at him, his free hand gesturing wildly as his voice got louder.
Eventually, he sighed and sat on the edge of the bed. Eddie rubbed his back in a totally friendly, not loving, manner.
“Okay. See you then,” he sounded resigned, tired.
Eddie hated it.
When the phone was back on the hook, Steve sank back against Eddie and sighed again.
“My parents will be here next week for a couple days. They’re organizing the sale of the house, so they are packing what they want to move into a storage unit and having a cleaning company come get the rest to be donated. I have until the end of the month to be gone.”
Eddie looked down at Steve’s hand, how it was playing with the edge of Eddie’s shirt, how tense the rest of his body was even as Eddie played with his hair.
“You speak Spanish?”
That wasn’t really what he meant to say, but the shock hadn’t quite worn off from hearing him speaking in another language. Or two.
“I speak Spanish and Portuguese,” he replied.
“Oh. Well…why?”
Steve sat up and looked down at Eddie with a smirk.
“Because my mom’s family is mostly from Spain and Portugal and if I wanted to talk to my grandparents, that was my only option.”
“Oh. I…had no idea.”
Steve rested his head against his chest again, finally seeming to relax a bit.
“I really only speak it with her now. I took Spanish in high school for the easy A.”
“Makes sense.”
They remained quiet for a few minutes, Steve coming down from the stress of his phone call and impending parental visit.
“So you wanna live with me?” Eddie finally asked, casually.
They weren’t…well. They just weren’t. And that was okay. Eddie told himself that if all he was for Steve was a great friend who could hold him when he needed it, then that was enough.
But they also kind of…were.
It was very confusing and he was constantly balancing between pushing too far and not pushing enough.
“What? Like, in your trailer with you and Wayne?”
Eddie shrugged.
“Wayne wouldn’t mind. Long as you help clean up sometimes and maybe chip in for groceries.”
Wayne also was team Eddie-tell-Steve-you’re-in-love-with-him-before-I-do and would absolutely support this type of thing.
“But you guys only have two bedrooms.”
“You can share with me or like, we can work something out where we section off a part of the living room? I dunno. It’s not perfect, but I know you don’t have quite enough saved up for your own place yet.”
Steve hid his face in Eddie’s shirt for a moment before nodding.
“Yeah. Okay. I’ll share with you for a bit. But probably only for a few months, I swear. I have almost enough to get that house by Robin,” he said.
It was a house for sale in Robin’s neighborhood, and it wasn’t selling because it needed quite a bit of work done to the yard and bathrooms. But Steve knew he could do it, he just needed to make sure he had money for everything first.
He wouldn’t let anyone chip in, either.
“No rush. But, yeah, I’ll talk to Wayne about it tomorrow.”
—-------------------------------------
Steve moved in the next week after a long argument with his parents, who didn’t seem too thrilled about him becoming “trailer trash.”
Eddie thought about the last words Steve said to his parents before leaving: “I’d rather be trailer trash than your son.”
About how he’d spit them at them, poison from his lips.
About how he’d said it in French.
He probably didn’t think Eddie understood, probably didn’t realize that most of the reason Eddie had been so quiet on the ride to the trailer was because he was turning over Steve’s words in his head.
He still hadn’t quite come to a conclusion more than eight hours later, but he was busy helping Steve unpack the last of his things anyway.
“You seem quiet,” Steve said from where he was putting some of his tapes by Eddie’s boombox.
“Hm?” Eddie looked over at him, smiling to himself when he saw Steve putting Eddie’s tapes on top of his. “Oh. Just thinkin’.”
“Thinking about…?” Steve looked over at him.
“Just what you said earlier.”
Stev’s brows furrowed as he thought about what Eddie meant.
“You mean before we left?” Eddie nodded. “I said it in French though? You understood?”
“I’m not fluent, but I took it for three years in high school. One of the only classes I passed with flying colors.”
“Really?” Steve asked in French. “So I could say something in French right now and you would know what I’m saying?” he continued, still in French.
Eddie understood enough to nod.
“So if I told you that you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me and that I wish I could hold your hand right now, you’d say…”
Steve’s blush gave away some of what he was saying, though Eddie had to admit to himself, he hadn’t quite understood some of it.
Steve sounded so natural, was speaking so quickly, Eddie wasn’t sure how to respond.
“Um. I guess I’m not so good at it when someone as natural as you speaks it,” Eddie awkwardly said, turning back to the closet where he was moving some of his things so Steve would have room for his clothes that couldn’t be folded.
He felt Steve’s body heat behind him, knew he would be right there if he turned back around.
Steve said something in Italian (how many languages did he know?) and then something else in a language Eddie didn’t recognize.
He finally turned to see Steve blushing, looking down at the floor of his room.
“What was that one?” he asked, moving in a bit closer, barely leaving any space between them.
“Korean. My dad insisted on all of us learning it when he acquired a business in Korea.”
“So you know…how many languages?”
“Seven counting English, but I’m also learning Russian from Robin. Kind of a way to ‘own the trauma’ or whatever she tells me,” Steve rolled his eyes.
“You know seven languages?” Eddie squeaked.
“Oui,” Steve smirked up at him.
They were so close. He could almost feel Steve’s breath against his lips, closed his eyes and imagined how he would taste.
“Eds,” Steve breathed out.
“Hm?” Eddie felt high, or like there was a severe lack of oxygen in the room, maybe both.
“Can I kiss you? Please?”
Eddie’s eyes popped open, his jaw dropping in shock.
Steve asked again, this time in French.
Eddie groaned and threw his head back.
“You’re killing me.”
“...so that’s a yes?” Steve teased.
“Oui,” Eddie replied.
Steve’s lips were warm against his, surprisingly soft, though demanding.
His whole body was demanding, pushing Eddie backwards until his back hit the wall with a thump. Eddie had never been so glad that Wayne was at work.
His hands found Steve’s waist, squeezed until he was sure he left bruises, only tightening his grip more when Steve moaned against his mouth.
Steve’s body was flush against his now, their shirts rucking up just enough for the skin of their stomachs to rub together, sweat slicking between them.
Eddie couldn’t breathe, but he didn’t really want to, didn’t want to part from the closeness he’d been hoping for for so long.
Steve did pull away though, even if only enough to rest his forehead against Eddie’s.
He whispered something in Spanish, then opened his eyes.
Eddie was hot.
“It’s really fuckin’ hot when you do that,” he admitted.
“Do what?”
“Speak any of the 100 languages that you know.”
“Oh?” Steve kissed the corner of his mouth, then his chin, then his jaw.
He kept whispering things in different languages, right against Eddie’s skin, until he was practically ready to fall to his knees.
“Steeeeeeve. You’re killing me,” Eddie complained.
“I can stop,” Steve said against the curve of his neck and shoulder.
“No, please don’t,” he groaned out.
So, he didn’t.
Steve spent the next hour kissing, and teasing, and whispering things Eddie didn’t understand against his skin.
He didn’t stop until Wayne knocked on the bedroom door to let them know he was home and was cooking burgers on the grill.
Eddie smiled as Steve left the room to help Wayne with dinner as he’d been looking forward to doing.
He thought about how long they weren’t anything but friends who could have been more.
But now they were. Hopefully they always would be.

cheating?
PABLO GAVI.
posted : 11/04/2023 (European date)

request open!
english is not my first language, I apologize for the mistakes.
"I love you honey I'll be there very soon!"
Your voice echoed on the, you thought so, empty house you shared with your boyfriend.
He was supposed to be at training until 6pm but oh honey, what you didn't know was that he came home sooner since Xavi had to go to a meeting, freeing the players 3 hours earlier.
Pablo just closed the door and immediately froze after hearing you sweet talking to someone, God knows who.
"My boyfriend will never know about it baby, he's at training you can come whenever you want" you said with a sweet voice
You were laying on the king sized bed, your stomach was facing the mattress and you couldn't see the wide opened door, thinking you closed it.
Who was the person you were talking with?
Pablo couldn't believe that you would cheat on him and decided to keep listening just in case.
"Yeah you can come, he won't even notice" you loudly laughed
Even in that situation, your laugh still sounded like heaven to his ears and he found himself smiling without even noticing.
But his smile faded as fast as it appeared when he remembered what he just heard.
Without making any noise, he went in the laundry room to hide so he can catch you doing what you were trying to desperately hide from him.
He went on his phone while waiting but it didn't really help him to kill the time since all he could think about was "what just happened?".
Several minutes, who felt like hours, later the bell finally rang which made the Spanish boy put his phone on the ground, slowly getting up as you ran downstairs.
He watched through the doorway and saw you happily opening the door before hugging someone and leaning in to kiss them.
He couldn't believe it, it was happening.
It was too hurtful to keep watching so he turned around to take his phone back but was cut off by a bark.
He quickly left the room and followed the sound he just heard, leading him to the living room where he saw you laying on the couch, a German Shepherd comfortably sleeping next to you as you watched-
Peppa Pig?
"is she on drugs?" He thought to himself
"Y/n?" He finally dared to speak
The sound of his voice made you jump from your place, waking up the dog who was peacefully asleep.
"Oh my God you scared the hell out of me" you said as you tried to breath correctly, putting a hand on your chest
"What are you doing and who's dog is that?" he asked clearly confused
"Meet Mia, she's the cutest dog and I'm babysitting her for Maria, she went on a date with her boyfriend" you explained as if it was obvious
"So.. you're not cheating on me?"
You looked at him as if he just said the most stupid, toe curling, hair snatching thing.
"What the fuck no? Why would you say that?"
"Okay it may sound crazy but I may have listened to the whole interaction with the dog when you were FaceTiming your friend and it is possible that I hid to see if it was true. But again, this may have not happened at all." he said not breathing once while speaking
"Oh wow, I see how it is now you don't even trust me" you turned around, patting the dog's head as she slowly fell asleep again
"Wait no that's not what I wanted to say, I promise I trust you with all my life" he tried to apologize but you kept silent
"Y/n don't do this to me I swear I love you please don't be mad at me" he apologized as he made his way to you, collapsing next to your body before wrapping his arms around your waist, hugging it tightly as he put his head on your stomach
That's when you took the opportunity and put your arms on the back of his head, chocking him in your belly
"Now that's what you get for believing that I would cheat on you, you bitch" you laughed as he tried to get out of your grip but you just kept pushing him further in
You laughed harder and harder to a point where you didn't even have the strength to keep him in place
He snitched out of your arms, breathing heavily when you just kept laughing
Soon enough, he joined you in your laughter, forgetting the dog who was just staring at you in complete confusion
After a few minutes, you calmed down and pressed start on the remote so you can go back to watching the best show ever : peppa pig.
"Baby do we seriously have to watch a pig live her life?" he asked while laying back on your stomach
"Yes shut up" you just said now fully concentrated
You jumped when you heard the sound of the door bell
You didn't even realize that you three fell asleep watching some kids series.
You looked at the time on your phone, it was 6pm which means that Maria should get her dog back now.
You silently stood up and pet Mia who then followed you to the door, leaving Pablo alone as he was dead asleep
You opened the door to be met by your friend smiling
"Hi Maria, how was the date?" you asked smiling as she put you in a quick embrace
"Really nice, I'll tell you everything later, how was Mia?" she asked while petting her beloved dog who also seemed happy to see her
"Oh she was lovely, she can come back anytime!" you just smiled
"Thank you for babysitting her Y/n, I owe you one!"
"Don't worry about it, it was my pleasure"
You quickly said goodbye before closing the door and laying back down next to the spanish boy who was awake now
" ¿por qué te fuistes? (why did you leave)" he asked weakly while opening his arms so you can get back in
"I had to give Mia back" you whispered as you got comfortable in his arms, your head resting on his chest ad you fell back to sleep with his heartbeat who sounded like music to your ear

hey so nobody knows this blog but i got out of control while telling my friend about a writing a prompt i thought of and so now im giving it to you fire emoji (below the clip)
au where lance had his schoolbag for some reason (he doesnt know why he grabbed it, he likes to think it was the universe letting him have things from home to remind him that yes, he will make it back) and as they reach the edge of the solar system, his bag starts to ring, his familiar ringtone playing throughout the lion.
he's not quite sure why he decided to go on a hunt to find a charger to get it's battery up, maybe fate playing with the strings a bit to get it to happen, he's not sure.
it's what the paladins have deemed as "night-time," around 9pm back on earth. he was nearly asleep but is now clambering for his bag, worn from the years he's spent using it in space. he rips the phone from it, staring in disbelief that he was able to get a signal from all the way out here.
the words are clear on his screen, though his eyes are blurring them, tears threatening to fall.
MAMÁ
his hands are shaky as he clicks the accept button. the heart threatening to beat out of his chest the only thing assuring him that it isnt a dream.
it's quiet for a moment, before his mother's quiet words ring through his ears.
"..mijo?"
she sounds as if she's aged 10 years in only 5, but her voice was still heavy with that slight spanish accent, worn from years of english, that used to scold him and tell lance how much she loves him. but it's everything he's missed. and he can't helps the way his voice breaks when he says,
"mamá. oh mamá we're coming home."
----
lance doesn't know why, after the call with his mother ends, he calls keith. sure they're friends now but he hasn't been sure if theyre that close yet.
but he does anyways.
it only rings for a second, the image of keith appearing on his screen. pajamas on, and kosmo laying their head in his lap, with his comm pad held lazily in one hand. the screen lit up with one of the crosswords allura had given them to help with their altean.
"hey man, what's up? you alright? you look like you've been crying."
he leans forward in the chair, much to kosmos dislike, his eyes squinting and brow furrowed in concern.
lance suddenly feels concious of how he looks, eyes red and puffy, but just wipes at his eyes, looking at the side of his controls rather than the screen.
"yeah, it's just uh. i got a call from my mom, from my old phone. and i just, i don't know."
keith sits up fully in his seat, although knocking kosmo's head off fully, and clicks his comm pad off and setting it onto the floor.
"dude, really?! i'm surprised you got signal all the way out here. but i'm glad for you! how was she doing?"
keith looks genuinely happy for him, not something lance often had the privilege to see.
"she's uhm."
he takes a moment to steel himself. taking a deep breath as he reminds himself that he won't have to talk about only memories of her the next day. it won't hurt to talk about her.
"she's doing good, she was uh. really happy to hear from me. says she called me every week just to see if i would maybe pick up."
and lance's heart can't help but break, as he thinks about his mamá, face creased with worry, sat with her phone in hand, hoping her son would pick up. hoping that he would come back. that he would come home.
"she uh, only starting calling once or twice per month after the first year, so i guess i got lucky. it was really nice to hear her voice again. i almost forgot."
(his face falls, as he thinks of the countless nights that he'd try. try to hard to remember what she sounded like. how she rolled her r's, how she sounded as she yelled at him to do his chores faster, how she said i love you. he could never get it just right.)
"it's funny honestly, i used to hope for the day that i wouldn't have to hear it as much. i'd mock her voice from behind my door after an argument. but now i can't even imagine that. i guess, you don't know how much you'd miss something until you lose it.
and i know it seems silly to miss her this much considering we were gone only 2 years. but for her it was five. and at some points i wasn't–"
his voice begins to crack, his hand gripping the edge of his seat so hard that his fingers were white. the tears in his eyes threatening to fall.
"–i wasn't sure if i'd ever see her again. if i'd be able to tell her that i was coming home."
lance gives a watery laugh, rubbing his hand on the back of his head as he realises that he just dumped that all on keith.
“sorry that was, kind of a ramble.”
he finally looks back up at the screen, tears pricking the back of his eyes as he tries not to cry again. keith is staring at seemingly nothing just behind the screen, face drawn up in an expression lance can't decipher. thoughtfulness? he's not quite sure. but he doesn't have time to figure it out before keith speaks again, his gaze falling down to the floor as he starts to fidget with the string on his sweatpants.
"i understand what you mean. and im not trying to make this about me but, after spending two years on a space whale, i learned theres a lot of things you don't realise you'll miss."
he looks up, his face almost determined as he looks at lance directly now.
"but hey, you'll get to see her tomorrow, you won't have to miss her for much longer."
lance nods, smiling as a warmth spreading through his chest. he feels a renewed hope for the next day. he was going to go home.
(little note but the idea that theres a big group that surrounds the lions after they land, which the paladins get lost in immediately
and so lance is desperately searching through the crowd trying to find his family, before seeing keith waving and pointing almost frantically, but a smile on his face.
and as the crowd moves his mamá comes into view, standing next to keith
she calls out to lance, and he immediately runs over, engulfing her in a hug that lasts, definitely more than 20 seconds, and once he pulls away she starts tearfully rambling about how much she missed him, how she always knew in her heart that he'd come back, etc. etc.
but after a moment wipes the tears from her eyes and cheerfully exclaims that she was struggling to find him before keith had helped her, saying how nice he is, mother stuff yk
and keith is looking away blushing slightly from the compliments, and lance just looks at him and thanks him with such a genuine tone that keith cant help but smile fondly at him)

Tumblr media
prompts: forehead kisses, and smiling through the kiss & resting their forehead on the other’s after a kiss
warnings: none except really cute fluff?? lots of spanish slang???
listened to a rock and a hard place by bailey zimmerman & jersey giant by elle king just so y’all know how fluffy this is.
the darkness that engulfed the room made you wonder if you were still dreaming and if the loud sound that came from the bathroom had even occurred. you were about to fall asleep again thinking you were just hearing things but soon a small mumble could be heard from the bathroom and you noticed the empty space next to you. you reached over towards your nightstand to check what time it was on your phone.
4 am.
you couldn’t help the disappointed sigh that escaped your lips. you took a few minutes to wake yourself up and made your way towards the bathroom. you were met with a half awake and half asleep pablo upon your entrance. he was currently picking up some of your lotions from the ground while still rubbing his eyes awake.
“pablo…” he turned around to face you. “you promised you would stop doing this. it isn’t healthy for you.”
the brunette had been waking up in the early hours of the morning just so he could be the first one to practice as well as to get some extra hours in the gym. you had found him sitting at the kitchen table asleep and had made him promise he would sleep for another hour or two. there was no reason for him to tire himself just to end up in the same situation over and over again. you hated seeing himself burned out just for him to see the game like a spectator instead of playing in it like he dreamed of.
“joder, me asustaste.” he combed his hair with his hand. (fuck, you scared me.)
“a lo mejor te lo mereces por la manera que estás actuando.” you grinned proud of yourself. (maybe it’s what you deserve for the way you’re acting.)
his expression falters for a moment as if he was trying to figure out how to defend himself. you can see the wheels turning in his mind. you’d known him for years, you knew when he was about to have a serious conversation and you could sense one coming up.
“i just don’t want you to feel like you moved here for nothing.” he blurts out.
“what are you talking about?” you’re concerned for him now.
“i feel like i’m letting my family, my friends, and you down every game. i never play and now they want to send me to scotland. there’s nothing wrong with ireland but we just moved here and i don’t want you to leave somewhere you just got adjusted to. if i manage to prove myself we don’t have to go through that.” pablo’s cheeks are flushed by the end of his rant.
“pablo, look at me.” he turns around to face you and step closer to him as you cup his face. “i have followed you everywhere. i left santander for you, trust me i would follow you to ireland too. and listen to me carefully when i say you have never let me down except that time you refused to let me take a picture with lewandowski.”
pablo can’t help but laugh remembering how you had told him that lewandowski was a dilf. he had never let you near him again after that.
“i just don’t like that you come to all the games when you could be studying just to see me on the bench or run around for at most fifteen minutes. i know how much your degree means to you and i don’t want to move you around anymore.” he tries to explain his point of view.
“i really appreciate how much you care about me pablo i really do but you’ve got to take care of yourself as well. i go to all your games because i support you even if you don’t play. as for my degree there’s universities in scotland too. it’ll be okay whatever happens just don’t burn yourself out.” you try to reason with him.
he can’t help but embrace you wondering how he had gotten so lucky. you’d both had been so supportive of each other ever since your geography teacher had paired the both of you up for a project. initially he had just invited you to games just for the sake of it but soon enough he had started dedicating his goals to you. he kisses your forehead as he remembers how you’ve been there for him, always.
“you’d actually move to glasgow with me if for some reason i do get loaned?” he whispers.
“only if you let me talk to robert before you leave.” he steps back glaring at you. “i’m just kidding pablito. i’m here in barcelona aren’t i? obviously i would go anywhere with you.”
“no me gustan tus gilipolleces.” he says sternly before breaking into laughter. (i don’t like your bullshit.)
“you love me.” he leans in for a kiss.
a kiss that you’ll probably never erase from your memories by the way you both smile halfway through it. pablo can’t help but rest his forehead on yours internally thinking about how he had won the lottery with you. he was eternally grateful for the project about central american nations his teacher had assigned him all those years ago. he also puts a reminder in his mind to thank you later because he missed the feeling of his comfortable mattress.

Cuddles and Good Food
Tumblr media
Synopsis: You get your period and Pedro comes home from all the touring.
Pairing: Pedro Pascal x Jewish!fem Reader (vague description. I mention her having curly hair)
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: sexual innuendos, cursing, talk of menstruation
Word Count: 1,717
Note: This is super self indulgent cause I just want to cuddle this dork. Also this wasn’t beta’d and please let me know if any of the Spanish is incorrect.
------------------
I sighed and curled up on the bed as the next episode of Stargate started up. I didn’t have the energy to watch anything else and to be honest after getting the “I’m coming home” text from Pedro, I didn’t really want to put anything on that required my full attention.
I looked at my phone as it buzzed again. I picked up and read the text from my friend.
F/N: Did you watch the new episode of TLOU yet?
I sighed and turned my phone upside down. I had been working on keeping up with the series but had fallen behind when I met up with Pedro during his London premier red carpet.
And of course, the universe decided to laugh at me and bestow my period on me the moment I got home.
I groaned and curled up more as a wave of pain went through my back. PCOS can be a real bitch.
“Baby? I’m home.” When I hear Pedro yell, I realize I should have just put the Mandalorian on just to fall asleep to the sound of his voice. Or the video of interviews I had saved on YouTube.
“Bedroom.” I yelled out. I sat up and ran my fingers through my hair hoping to tame some of the curls.
When he stepped into the doorway, I couldn’t help holding my arms out and making grabby hands towards him. It may have only been a few days since we saw each other last but I always got needy while on my period. He chuckled softly and walked over climbing into the bed next to me before pulling me into his lap.
“What’s wrong with my sweet girl?” he asked as I nuzzled into his chest.
“My period started yesterday.” I mumbled as I felt strands of my hair get caught in the stubble of his beard.
He hummed and gently messaged my lower back. I whimpered before sighing as the pain passed. He kissed my temple and nuzzled his nose against my cheek making me giggle. “What can I do to make you feel better?”
I turned my face to nuzzle my nose against his. “You’re already doing it,” I wrapped my arms around his neck.
He held me close and fell back making me giggle.
“I’ve missed that giggle.” He mused nuzzling his nose into my hair. “I’ve also missed this bed.”
“Well, that’s what happens when you have two shows premier less than a month apart and have an SNL guest appearance and decide to meet up with all your friends while traveling.” I looked up at him.
He sighed, “The price of fame.”
“I saw your Graham Norton interview; I know you are enjoying the attention.” I smirked at him.
He pouted, “Okay, maybe a little.” Pedro rolled us so he was hovering over me, caging my body between his legs. “Doesn’t mean I don’t miss you or our bed.” He moved my hair back.
“I did enjoy watching you break character... twice while watching SNL.” I grinned. “Oscar even called me the next day to ask about my thoughts.”
Pedro dropped his head on my shoulder. “Of course, he did.”
I cleared my throat and let my tongue settle on the bottom of my mouth. “Ya know,” he peeked at me as I mimicked the LA voice. “That LA voice, was the best.” I moved my jaw. “God how did you do that for that long.” I said in my normal voice.
He laughed and kissed my cheek. “Eleven months on the set of The Last of Us gave me great practice.”
I hummed and pushed his hair back. “Yes, and I now get to have nightmares because my friends convinced me to start watching it.”
He hummed, “My poor bebe.” He kissed the tip of my nose.
I wrinkled it up and squirmed a little. “At least you make good eye candy.”
He smirked, “Is that so?”
I hummed, nodding my head. “Tumblr is all about Joel right now.”
“Anything good?” He asked settling next to me and gently messaging my stomach.
I bit my tongue to keep from moaning when he pressed on a specific spot. “Um a lot of smut.” He laughed at that and shook his head. “One account had polls of your characters of ‘who does it better’ and many are Joel vs. Frankie.” I whimpered and squirmed as he pressed down on another sensitive spot.
“Anything of interest to you?” he asked, letting his finger lazily trace the band of my panties.
I knew his hand wouldn’t go further; he was simply trying to distract me. We both learned quick that sex on my period was a very bad idea. In any form.
I hummed, “I’ve actually been reading a mix of your other characters. Joel just gives my brain too much horror.” I thought, “Some people have even written about your SNL characters which is quite interesting to read.”
He chuckled. “Of course, why am I not surprised.” He kissed my temple before shifting me to my side with him tucked behind me. “I’m gonna guess you didn’t sleep well last night.”
“José,” I looked up at him. “Are you giving me permission to take a nap while you spoon me?”
He rolled his eyes. “Only person outside my family that even uses that name on me anymore.”
“You didn’t answer my question.”
He reached over me and grabbed the remote. “I’m going to watch my dumb shows while you nap against me, yes.”
I hummed and wiggled into him. He grunted making me smirk before I settled against my pillow, feeling comfortable for the first time in the last 24 hours.
----------
I slowly woke to the smell of beef cooking. I sat up and stretched ignoring the cramping in my lower back. I climbed out of bed and walked towards the kitchen.
The sight I found was one I didn’t see often. I could hear Spanish music coming from the stereo and Pedro moving to the beat while cooking. He didn’t always cook but when he did it usually stemmed from a form of homesickness, he couldn’t place.
I walked over and wrapped my arms around his waist. “What’s cookin’ good lookin’?”
He chuckled and looked at me over his shoulder. The upside to being only a few inches shorter than he was. “Cazuela, though taking your advice I cooked the beef before adding it to the stew.”
“That US versus Chile snacks got to you huh?” I’d watched the interview and having been dating Pedro for a few years now, I have tried each item that was set before him.
He shrugged and went back to cutting up the corn on the cob to make it more manageable. “You just make all these great meals from your childhood.”
I moved to lean on the counter next to him. “Pedro, I’m Jewish. My people learned to carry our recipes with us wherever we ended up.” I nudged his hip with my own. “If you want, I could message Javiera and see if she has any Balmaceda family recipes.”
He gave me a soft smile. “I would actually like that.”
I stood on my tip toes and kissed his cheek. “You do so much for me. From not eating bread around me during Passover to making sure I keep to my fast on Yom Kippur. The least I can do is learn some family recipes to make you feel as happy as you make me feel.” I stroked my thumb against the V tattoo on his wrist.
He kissed my head before scrapping the corn into the pot next to him. He set the knife and cutting board down before grabbing my hand and pulling me to him and swaying us. “It may just be my age catching up with me, but I’ve been craving the meals I had as a kid more and more.”
I wrapped my arms around his next as we swayed. “José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal, there’s nothing wrong with a little nostalgia.”
He groaned, “I love when you say my whole name.” He dropped his head to my shoulder and rested his hands above my ass. I rolled my eyes. “Makes me tingle all over.”
I lightly shoved him away. “Such a weirdo.” I smiled as he gasped and laid his hands over his heart.
“I’ve been wounded mi amor.” He leaned against the counter.
“Aww poor baby.” I pouted at him.
He glared at me, “Alright Dinah Rachel--” I quickly covered his mouth.
“Okay, okay. No need to pull my Hebrew name into this.” I sighed. “You’re getting better.”
I moved my hands from his mouth. “Well, I did work with Gal, picked up a few things.”
I tilted my head at him. “You started learning to pronounce Hebrew when we were just starting out?” I felt my pulse pick up.
A light dust took over his cheeks and he rubbed the back of his neck. “It was important to you, and I know Spanish is much easier.”
I bit my lower lip to keep from crying. “That-” I sniffled.
“Oh no,” he quickly moved and hugged me close to him. “I’m so sorry baby.”
I nuzzled his chest and gripped the back of his shirt. “That’s so sweet.” I whimpered out.
He rubbed my back. “Aw baby.”
I looked up at him. “You really are the best.”
He smiled and I stood on my toes pressing my lips against his. He hummed kissing me back and gripped my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck letting my fingers tangle into his curls.
His tongue brushed against my lower lip and as we began to explore each other’s mouths, a sizzling sound pulled us apart. We looked over at the stove to see the broth for the soup overflowing.
“Shit,” he reached over and turned the burner down. He shook his head and grabbed two bowls from the cabinet. “Let’s eat and then we can continue.”
I hummed and grabbed the spoons as Pedro filled the bowls. “I like the sound of that.”
He smiled and we walked over to the couch before settling in.
It was going to be nice having him home, even if only for a few weeks before his next project.

miles morales x hispanic!reader
Tumblr media
summary ✧.* you hear a loud crash outside of your window of your apartments fire escape. you find yourself face to face with spiderman, he asks you to help him with his wounds. you help the hero and you feel create sort of connection.
genre ✧.* (strangers to friends to lovers, sorta a low burn ig?)
warnings ✧.* - ͙۪۪̥˚┊❛ ❜┊˚ ͙۪۪̥◌ the clock reads 10:34 P.M. you sit at 4th period, spanish. you're already fluent in spanish so it isnt much of a task to really study for spanish, or even pay attention really. you zone out looking at the clock, waiting for the hour to go by. you zone back in hearing the teacher talk about her first divorce, her kids blah blah blah... you doodle some animals on your notebook, tired from boredom. you sit there, listening to your thoughts. its been a full week since spiderman was in your room. you think about that pretty often, i mean who wouldnt? your thoughts get interrupted by a voice. "may i go to the bathroom?" your classmate, miles, asks. "en español, miles." the teacher responds, sort of annoyed. "¿puedo ir al baño, porfavor?" he repeats in spanish. she nods, and he gets up to go to the bathroom. you always thought miles was nice to be around. you first met him was for a history project. he was pretty funny and he always knew what to say and what to talk about. you arent exactly friends, but you know each other. you also thought he was kinda cute but we dont need to talk about that today. the bell rings and you start to get up but your teacher calls out your name. "hm?" you say turning around. "i saw you drawing. a ver." she says, her glasses sliding off her nose very slowly. your spanish teacher looks forward to your doodles. she thinks students' doodles are fun and silly and she likes looking at them. you show her todays doodles and she smiles. "mira, these are very good. keep it up." you thank her and walk out her room. you bump into someone- you both quickly apologizing. "sorry sorry- oh its you. hey do you mind waiting for me?" you recognize his voice as miles. "oh uh, yeah sure." you say holding on to your books. he grabs his things pretty swiftly and catches up to you and you both walk out together. you start to talk about your shared classes and that turns into talking about drawing to talking about interests you both have in common. "well this is my next class.. ill see you later miles!" you say waving goodbye at him, him waving back. you watch him walk away. you see him hold onto his side, mumbling a couple of cuss words. hope hes okay. you think. the clock reads 1:34 a.m. you find yourself on the roof of your apartment building. its a cycle, every friday you get back from school, take a nap then wake up at 6, eat, let the hours pass and as soon as it hits midnight you would go up to the roof. spiderman doesnt show up around your area for a while, your camera hasnt seen his face in a while. in the mean time you take pictures of the building nearby, of couples walking on the sidewalk, of cool cars that would drive around, heading to a nearby club. you place your camera down and lay on the blankets you would lay on the roof. you reach for your phone, looking for a lead on what to keep you busy. you hear a distant 'whoosh' sound from behind you. "hello?" you say as sit up to look around and spot whatever made that noise, but theres nothing, no one. you lay back down and decide to ignore it, but a loud crash can be heard from the same place. you stay still, not knowing what to do. a yelp can be heard from the crash. "whos here at one a.m.? well me.." you answer your own thought.
a/n: i had to split it into two parts.. oops part b

I'm so excited to start posting this work. I have to say that if it exists is thanks to @fandomtrumpshate and it's thanks to @trickzill-art that decided to ask me for an original work.
So here it is.
Summary: Santi has had the luck of writing a best seller, but now, a year later, seems like he can't come up with anything else. Not until he met Joseph, a young barista with big dreams for the future. Thanks to him, Santi finds new motivation, just like Joseph is reminded of what is really worth fighting for.
Chapter 01
Santiago took the book from the shelf. "The Beat of a Rebel Heart" was the title his publisher had recommended for his first novel. It had seemed stupid, he had tried to come up with his own ideas but none of them had convinced the publisher.
"You've decided to launch yourself on the market under a pseudonym, I think it's perfect." Oliver, his publisher, had told him when they were talking about the promotion of the first novel. "But that also takes away your visibility. You'll never be Santiago Carreras, the young promise of gay young adult novels. If all goes well, your book will have a movie on Netflix or Hulu, but no one will link it to anyone but Berta Carros. Are you sure by the way with that name?"
"It was my grandmother's name, she got me started writing, she read my first stories and told me I had talent, while my father told me I wouldn't get anywhere with words. I owe it all to her."
"Ok, Berta Carros it is, then...I still think we could find something more commercial like Vanesa de la Fuente or something like that."
"It doesn't impress me that you call my book whatever you want." Santiago told him. "But my pen name won't be touched."
The book had been a success. Sales were higher than other books of the same style or so Oliver had told him, after all Santiago didn't care about those kind of numbers; his passion was writing, he had his first book for sale and by the looks of it a huge part of the potential audience for stories about gay teens liked it.
Soon half the bookstores in the city had copies of his book and New York was full of bookstores everywhere. Amazon picked up on the success and sales of the digital version began to climb and not just in English. His book was selling in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French and German.
Within months, the name Berta Carros had fan pages on Facebook, Tumblr and one day, Sandra, his best friend, sent him some links to some well-known sites where people were writing fanfiction. They had started writing things with his characters, Robert and Myles.
He put the book back on the shelf, although he moved it to the right place. Someone had put it in the romance section, along with Wild Love at the Ranch and The Executive and the Carpenter.
No one remembered his book anymore, it had been an incredible few months, but it was over as quickly as it had come. A year later, Berta Carros was only remembered by the few remaining fans of his book, those who were waiting for a sequel that Santiago knew would never come and those who wondered when Berta Carros would release his second book for sale.
Oliver, his publisher wondered that too, almost every day now and that day when he heard and noticed the vibration of his phone in his pocket, he realized it was no different.
"O. Talbot" was written on the screen of his phone. He stepped out of the bookstore, took a sharp breath and answered the call.
"Santiago, my boy, how's it going?"
"Oliver you called me yesterday, I assure you my life hasn't changed at all."
"Hmmm, I'm not going to say I like hearing that, but tell me you're still writing."
"I'm still writing, yes, but I can't confirm to you that I have Berta's next book in hand."
"Do you know when that will be?"
"Oliver, you ask me that same question every day and you know what the answer is.”
"Yeah, yeah. You don't function well under pressure, but Santiago, a year ago you decided to enter the world of literature and as romantic as writers' lives may have seemed in the past, we all have a deadline now, I as an editor have a minimum number of books to submit to those at the top and for that, you writers have to submit your manscripts to me. It's a chain that has to work perfectly."
"I know and I'm sorry. I'm trying to come up with the perfect story. I don't want to write something mediocre or...."
"Santiago, boy." He hated it when Oliver or anyone else called him that, with that tone of superiority. "We're talking about books that sell to teenagers and adult women who..."
"Oliver. I wrote my first book to tell my own story of that teenage boy who does coming out, who stands up to his parents, who shows them who he really is, and who falls in love."
"Yeah, yeah, it was a very nice and sentimental book, I won't deny it." Oliver said and then there was silence. Santiago figured he was looking for the best words not to bother him anymore and not gamble that he would go to another publisher with his new book, when he had it written. "What I wanted to say is that I'm not asking you to write the new Divine Comedy, it doesn't even have to be a book as special as your first novel. I just need Berta Carros to have a new book on the market for the Christmas campaign, do you think that would be possible?"
"Well, it's nine months."
"Exactly it's like a pregnancy, it's going to be our baby, Santiago, boy."
Santiago felt like cutting the call short when he heard that. Oliver Talbot wasn't his favorite person in the world, but he was the one who had put his trust in him with his first book. He owed him that much.
"I guess I can make an effort and get something out."
"Would you have a general idea for the day after tomorrow?"
"The day after tomorrow?" Santiago asked, stopped in the middle of the street and stared at nothing. "Well, I guess I can get a couple of days out and we can discuss them."
"Great! That was precisely what I wanted to hear. Talk to you in two days."
Oliver cut the call short almost before Santiago could say goodbye.
After the call he needed a coffee, a large one just the way he liked it, with cream, cinnamon, lots of vanilla and chocolate chips. He was not far from his favorite coffee shop, the place where he had found much of the inspiration to write his first novel.
He was sure that there he could find what he needed to get his second book off the ground.
But first he needed a coffee.
It was almost noon when he entered. In the mornings and especially on weekends, the Finca del café was a busy place because of the number of cyclists, teams, families and friends who passed by for breakfast. But at noon like now, the café was usually emptier and quieter, the perfect place to sit with his computer next to the coffee he so desperately needed.
He didn't have to look at the coffee list, he didn't need to in order to make his exact request. He walked up to the counter, he knew all the baristas that worked there. Connor usually took note of what he wanted and often didn't even ask him what he wanted because he already knew them.
"What can I get you?" said an unfamiliar voice that made him look up.
A pair of green eyes, a luminous smile and slightly tousled light brown hair completed him over a tag with Joseph's name buttoned to the shirt.
The barista was new, or at least, he had never seen him before. He would certainly remember him, because he was the most handsome man Santiago had seen in a long time.
"Chocolate mocha, not too hot."
"To go?"
"No, I'll take it here, I usually spend a lot of mornings here, working."
"Oh," Joseph picked up one of the cups and a marker, with an even wider smile on his lips. "That sounds like you're a big shot. Writer looking for inspiration for his next book? Have you written anything I might have read?"
"I had a book out last year. It had some success, but I don't think you know it. Plus I wrote it under a pseudonym."
"I read a little bit of everything. Come on, test me, maybe I’m making your coffee and I’m a fan of yours, even if I don’t know it."
Santiago reacted with a nervous chuckle at the barita's charming laugh.
"I don't think so, but okay. "The beat of a rebellious heart."
Joseph was filling the coffee cup with the milk and then the foam, but stopped short and looked up to Santiago and stared at him like someone looking at an impossible apparition of a ghost.
"You're not serious." Joseph sentenced. "You haven't written that book, because "The Beat of a Rebel Heart" is written by a woman, Berta Carros and I can't wait for her to write her next book."
"That's a long way off because Berta doesn't even have an idea for her next novel."
Joseph opened his mouth, but closed it and gasped again like a fish sticking its head out of the water. He stood there, staring at Santiago as his boss tried to get his attention from the other end of the bar.
"Wait, you are serious. You wrote 'The Beat of a Rebel Heart'. You're Berta Carros."
Santiago put a finger to his lips. He hated having used that name, hated having had that stupid idea to create the pseudonym for himself. At first he hadn't been proud to write a novel for teenagers, no matter how much it was a story of two boys falling in love and then it had caught the critics' attention because of the realism Berta had demonstrated. By then, Berta Carros had made a name for herself with her first book and Oliver Talbot had thought it a good idea to keep her there and use the same pseudonym on subsequent books.
Joseph set the cup of coffee in front of him, one twice as big as he had ordered and as he was about to say something to the barista, the barista put a finger to his lips smiling.
"I've already told you that you're my favorite author. It's a gift."
Santiago accepted it as Joseph went to make the next coffee, retired to his usual table, put down his coffee, pulled out his computer and headphones, put his cell phone on charge and took a seat.
He stood there for a moment watching the barista work, talking to his colleagues, laughing, being charming to the customers and not noticing that there were two girls in line waiting to be served by him, amidst the silly giggles at how much they liked the barista.
He opened the computer and looked at the blank page of the blank document he had not yet started working on. He took a deep breath, he had been having small panic attacks for days at the thought of trying to write something for his new story.
And suddenly, the image of Joseph about ten years younger appeared in front of him, as if from a movie. Teenage Joseph, full of dreams, wanting to be... Joseph wanted to help everyone, in high school wanting to make everyone around him happy. That Joseph wanted to be a doctor... no, a veterinarian.
Little by little his new protagonist began to take the shape of the green-eyed barista with the perfect, radiant smile in front of him.
"A latte and a chai tea, please." Said a woman in a suit to Joseph as she gestured towards the table where her partner was seated.
"Good morning Susan, are you setting up a meeting with the folks in New York?"
The woman gave him an uncomfortable look because the barista was talking to her beyond too hot or not hot enough that she wanted coffee. She nodded nervously and paid to walk away to the end of the bar where her order was to be delivered.
"Why do you keep trying?" Amara leaned on the counter next to Joseph and rubbed his back. "People don't want to talk about their private lives with you. You're not their friend and they don't expect your advice over coffee, unless it’s about the perfect cookies to take away."
"But it's so cold, Mar. When I imagined myself working here behind the bar, I imagined I knew the people, many would be the same every day at the same time and that would gradually give us some familiarity."
"You've seen a lot of movies, haven't you?"
"It's not that. It's my dream, that's the kind of coffee shop I want to work in, the one I want to have."
Amara laughed and patted him on the back a couple of times. "So now you want to have your own coffee shop, and where are you supposed to get the money for that?"
Joseph sighed and went on with his work, there were already several glasses and cups to clean on the pike and tables to tidy up.
Most people didn't understand how he could really like that job. Everyone thought that if someone started working as a barista it was because they were waiting for their life's work, because they were studying, because they came from another city, and if it was someone young enough it was because they had left home or it was their first job.
But none of those possibilities fit Joseph.
Joseph was happy there. He was happy getting up early to open and serve the first coffees as winter dawned, discovering the new items that were invited from the central office for each season and was extremely happy drinking pumpkin spice at Halloween until the Christmas coffees arrived.
He loves coffee, and had managed to squeeze a couple of his own recipes into the cookie section.
Of course his friend was right about one thing. Money was a problem, both to study something related to the world of coffee and to open his own place someday.
But he had time and was saving. Everything he earned working there was going to two places, the rent for the apartment he shared with the fireman in 252 who he barely saw because they had crossed shifts and for that dream he slept with every night, getting into hotel school to learn everything he needed to learn to one day open his own café and have everyone fall in love with the world he saw.
A grunt from the writer's table caught his attention. He saw him sigh and close the computer then turn back to the window.
There was no one waiting to order anything at the counter so Joseph decided to take his morning break. He made his coffee as no one else knew how to do, because no one else understood the amounts of milk, lactose free because he was intolerant, sugar, brown, because it was healthier, cinnamon, you always needed some and cream... any decent coffee should have some in it and walked over to the table.
"Upset?" he asked and Santiago turned to him. "I'm not going to ask for your autograph, relax, but I am looking forward to the release of your second book and I'm dying of curiosity to know if it will be a continuation of "heartbeat" or something new."
Santiago laughed nervously, picked up his now empty coffee cup and wrinkled his nose as he realized it was.
"Shall I make you another?"
"You don't want to see me on a caffeine high and that certainly won't be how I start writing anything. No thanks. As for the new book, I'd like to know what it's going to be, too, although the one who's most curious is my publisher, who's about to fire me if I don't get the first draft to him in a few days."
"Wow, sorry to hear that and sorry then that I'm bothering you at the moment of inspiration."
Santiago let out that nervous laugh again, which this time made Joseph smile because he thought it was charming. He opened the computer again and turned it over.
Prologue
My name is Josh, although here at the hospital I am known as Josh "Dr. White's son." My father is the head of the emergency room at New York Presbyterian Hospital and a dozen doctors and twenty-odd nurses work for him.
They all know me, some of them literally were present at my birth and my father says that the most senior nurse in the hospital was the one who helped me cry for the first time.
As "Dr. White's son" I am free to move around wherever I want, except for the operating rooms, although the truth is that I am not too interested in seeing how they open people up, manipulate their organs and fill everything with blood.
But in the rest of the hospital I can go from one place to another without anyone looking at me funny. They all greet me, ask me about my father when they haven't seen him for a few days and ask me, as usual, if I'm going to follow in Dr. White's footsteps and study medicine.
However, today no one approaches me. Maybe it's because it makes them uncomfortable to see me crying inconsolably and they don't know what to say to me, maybe it's because my clothes are a mess, literally scorched, with a couple of holes from pulling and my hair as if I had fought with a herd of angry cats or maybe it's because they don't like the presence of my companion, Jaime, a wonderful Mexican boy who has gotten me into the best trouble these past few months.
Until recently I wouldn't have realized that there are people who look at you because of the color of your skin, the way you talk or any stupid detail that makes you look like one thing or another. But these last few months have opened my eyes, made me realize that the world I was living in was nothing more than a fantasy.
And you know what is the most ironic thing of all, tomorrow is my birthday, tomorrow I turn eighteen. just a year ago, I had the perfect life, the perfect dream, the perfect idea of the future, not to mention the perfect boyfriend, the perfect father and the perfect house.
If you ask me right now what I mean by perfect, my answer is to see my father walk out of the emergency room with a calm expression and hear him say that the heart of the love of my life has started beating again.
"It's horrible isn't it?" Santiago asked and finally breathed again when Joseph looked up from the computer. "I think I'm going to delete it and start over. I don't think..."
"I hope you don't mean that. You just wrote this?" Santiago's eyes widened in shock at the question. "I mean... I don't think it's little, well yes, it's very little and I love it, I want to know what happened to Josh."
A small smile added to the blush on Santiago's cheeks.
"It's the first thing that came to my mind, which is already saying a lot because I had been in the dry dock of inspiration for almost five months. what is it about this place? Because if it has any secrets, I'll come write here every day."
Joseph shrugged, looked back towards the counter, he didn't want any customers to be left waiting, certainly his manager wouldn’t like that either. But for the moment, Amara seemed to have it under control and motioned for him to take his time.
"You're the first writer I've seen here writing, so I don't know what inspired you. But I do know that many of the customers who come through here have told me that the coffee I make is the best they've ever had."
"I agree with them on that." Santiago looked back at the empty cup. "And for that coffee you make I'd like to come back here every morning."
They stared into each other's eyes for a moment, until a group of teenagers entered the coffee shop. They were on their way to class and were talking loud enough to disrupt the peace and quiet of the place.
Santiago looked at the time. He had decided to take the morning off to find that idea he needed so badly. Now he had it, it was just a written page, but suddenly his brain was overflowing with ideas that he had to put down on paper.
He stood up with force, so much that he almost knocked the chair to the floor.
"I have to go."
Joseph watched him dart out of the cafeteria, computer under his arm and open backpack full of papers, two or three notebooks and a few other things he hadn't gotten to see. He still couldn't believe he had met the author of his favorite book. When he had woken up that morning he had not imagined that Berta Carros was a man, someone so handsome, nice, attractive and that he would not be able to get him out of his mind.

1Chapter 1: Chapter 1
"March 25, 1948" said the headline of the newspaper that a man was selling outside the canteen "La Peninsular" which Boruto Uzumaki visited almost daily in his spare time from work. And precisely at this moment he was in it surrounded by Mitsuki, Kawaki and acquaintances from the village while they all sang a song. Joy was breathed in the place. Maybe drinking so early with friends was not a good idea, but he always lived in the moment.
To one side of the canteen were the public telephones of the town and in one of them was Sarada Uchiha, trying to listen to what Inojin was saying on the other side of the line. The musical din that came from the bar was so great that she couldn't understand it well and she began to get more tense every time.
"SPEAK LOUDER BECAUSE I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!" Sarada yelled. –This is useless. There's an idiot making a fuss, wait a bit. - The Uchiha said furiously and headed inside La Peninsular.
She opened the pair of small wooden doors so typical of a canteen and stood there, imposing, staring at Boruto. Severe black eyes waiting to meet that pair of blue eyes that she knew so well and that caused her so much headache. Boruto quickly locked eyes with her as soon as he noticed her presence, which was bound to go unnoticed. She held his gaze as she continued to sing. Both looking at each other with intense looks, one reflected anger and the other mischief. After the song finished, Sarada screamed.
-Hey, would you do me the favor of telling me if you intend to continue with your scandal? – The Uchiha said in a strong way with that elegance that characterized her.
Boruto gave the guitar to his friend Mitsuki and stood up. He walked towards the entrance and once he was standing in front of her he took off his hat.
-Forgive me Sarada, I didn't know that my song could bother you.- Boruto finally answered in an innocent and flirtatious way at the same time.
-Song? Is that what they call out-of-tune screams now?- Sarada asked mockingly as she put a hand on her waist.
-Well, for people who don't understand these things, yes, miss. That's what they are called. – Boruto replied with the same mocking tone that she had just used.
- Rude. – Sarada answered, looking away from her while she crossed her arms.
- Please you do me.- Boruto replied smiling broadly tilting his head slightly to one side looking for her gaze. He loved making her angry.
"Why are you so shocking!?" Sarada asked altered again, directing her penetrating gaze once more.
-Because it is very easy. -Boruto replied calmly, with a big flirtatious smile.
Sarada frowned even more, turned around and threw the small wooden doors at Boruto. He prevented them from closing by hitting him and automatically took them with both hands.
He immediately went after her.
Sarada returned to the phone and resumed the conversation she had.
-What do you say love? Oh don't worry I already talked to the crazy man who had the horrible scandal about him. Oh yes, I want to see you too! – He said in a honeyed tone as he continued with her flirtatious attitude on the phone, all this because he knew that Boruto was behind her listening to her. He felt fury hearing what he was saying but then he realized that the phone was disconnected. All of that was a lie.
- Excuse me- Boruto said getting closer and connecting the telephone cable to the base. "Anyone who sees you will think you're crazy," added the Uzumaki as seriously as he could, trying not to laugh.
Sarada turned red with embarrassment when she realized that her instant plan to make Boruto jealous had gone wrong. She looked at him with eyes of fury and left with a hurried step while she listened to him laughing at what had happened.
-What happened Boruto? I thought I saw your boss angry. - Mitsuki said somewhat worried while Boruto sat back at the table, with a victorious smile on his face.
-No boss. What my godmother left us belongs to both of us. Neither commands more than the other. And we've known each other since we were little, so I've never felt like it.
-No, well, if this were about sending, then all of us who work so hard for the hacienda would do it. Kawaki added with a serious tone.
Boruto just nodded. He did not want to play along so as not to cause conflict.
-Since my father died I've been breaking my chest in the field so that she can live like a queen. – Said Boruto with his eyes lowered while he took a drink of his tequila. -But hey, shall we throw another one?- He asked aloud while looking at the guitar. Mitsuki passed it to him while the others around him shouted if they wanted to sing another song.
It seems like Boruto and Sarada have had a love/hate relationship forever. Let's see how they solve the inheritance later.
By the way I wanted to remind you that this story is set in the 40's so if there are details or ways of speaking that you find strange (such as the use of you) that is the reason. Any questions, comments, feedback etc. I am ready to receive them. Thanks so much for reading!

1Chapter 2: Chapter 2
-He's an unbearable bore, he's always making fun of me. –Sarada told her father, feeling indignant. She was sitting in the living room of her house, Sasuke Uchiha next to her.
-Well, with everything and that, the only thing I would like to be able to leave this world in peace is for you to meet a man like Boruto.- Sasuke said calmly.
-My God, dad. And then you say you love me. Sarada said in an offending tone, crossing her arms. Sasuke just sighed.
-With all my soul and no one knows it better than you. –The Uchiha replied with his typical seriousness and security when speaking. –He dated his father, Naruto. My partner of many years. Boruto is someone honest, hardworking- Sasuke was interrupted by his daughter.
"Well, if that's what we're going for, there are thousands of pawns like him." Sarada added in a serious tone. Sasuke was silent for a few seconds. Boruto was his godson, the firstborn of his late best friend. Without a doubt he loved him like a son, he knew the kind of person he was and he wanted him and Sarada to formalize something. Deep down he was aware that they both got along like cats and dogs because there was something more. That's why he insisted so much on Sarada, but only on her. For nothing in the world would he tell Boruto directly everything he thought.
-A pawn who has as much money as you. Don't forget the amount that both share of the inheritance that my late mother-in-law left them.- Sasuke said resuming the conversation.
-Yes yes, beautiful inheritance without being able to dispose of it. Sarada added, still annoyed by everything.
- No way, Sarada. You have to respect his will. We will have to be patient until the last letter that Notary Hatake has is read.
- Isn't tomorrow when we will read the last one with the notary?
-It's only the second.
-Oh no. With the desire that I have to leave this town. Talk to other people and start a new life.- Sarada said rolling her eyes with a desperate tone.
-I assure you that even if you never leave this town you won't lose anything. That's how I spent my life here, I met your mother and we were very happy. Sasuke paused. Talking about Sakura still brought a lump to his throat. Even though her passing had happened 10 years ago, it was still difficult for him. I don't know why you shouldn't find happiness here. –The Uchiha finished turning to see his daughter with a slight smile on his face.
-I imagine that happiness would be found with Boruto, isn't it? Sarada asked raising an eyebrow, almost sure of the answer her father would give.
-With much better than with the poor healer who spends it next to you recently. Sasuke added suspiciously.
-Inojin is not a healer, he is a doctor.
-That's what you say.
-Not me dad, says the title.
-You'll be the only one who says it.
-For God's sake, don't make me angry.
-Not at all, I just want to advise you. In the end you will know what decisions you make. Sasuke finished, getting up from the chair and giving Sarada a light blow on the forehead with his index and middle fingers. Inevitably the Uchiha smiled at the gesture.
1Chapter 3: Chapter 3
Notary Hatake's office was gleaming. Boruto and Sarada were both sitting next to each other in front of the graduate's desk. Sasuke and Shizune behind them. They were waiting for the reading of the second letter to begin.
-Do you want to make sure that the envelope is intact? – Kakashi asked with the letter in both hands.
-Thank you, licentiate, but it's not necessary.- Boruto said turning to see Sarada, who already had her eyes on him. – We take it for granted. –She finished.
-Allow me to graduate.- the Uchiha said smiling cordially as she got up from her seat. She extended her hand to the notary. -The gentleman can only speak on his own account. Sarada added, taking the letter and looking at it carefully. She once examined she returned it to the notary and thanked him. -That's fine thanks.
She returned to her seat and Boruto only scrutinized her with her eyes while expelling smoke from her mouth, since she was smoking a cigar. If he said black she said white, they lived against her. Sasuke just sighed as he witnessed the scene.
The notary proceeded to open the envelope, remove the letter and read it carefully.
Sarada and Boruto felt tense but they were absolutely not going to allow it to be noticeable. They remained with relaxed postures in their seats, waiting impatiently to listen to the reading.
-Okay, let's start then. "It is my will that Sarada and Boruto, my godchildren and heirs marry within a month from the day this letter is read. If any of them refuse, the part of their inheritance will pass without further ado. procedures to those who agree to abide by this provision. My executor, attorney Shizune, is in charge of the faithful fulfillment of this mandate. Greetings to all, Tsunade Senju. Postscript: The next letter will be read exactly 30 days from this date. " –concluded Mr. Kakashi lowering the letter and putting it on the desk.
Sarada found herself breathing so hard it was on the verge of appearing to be hyperventilating. Boruto was frowning more than usual and Sasuke for his part felt more than satisfied with his late mother-in-law's decision.
"Well, what's your opinion about it?" Kakashi asked calmly. Boruto and Sarada turned to see each other with looks that screamed a thousand things.
-I'm not marrying the lady! Boruto said loudly, showing his discontent vilely. "Of course not, nor would I be crazy to join a man like you." Sarada added with a tone of indignation and looking away from Boruto.
"Calm down guys." Sasuke interrupted, looking at both of them with an annoyed expression.
"Don't bother godfather, I don't do my hair for your daughter." Boruto said. "HA!" Sarada added only to be interrupted by her father again.
"You decide what you want but DO ME the favor of behaving properly." Sasuke said emphasizing, he was angry.
-BUT DON'T YOU SEE THAT HE IS THE ONE WHO STARTS DAD?
-I SAY WHAT I FEEL! The truth is not sinful but uncomfortable.-said Boruto with the intention of continuing to reply.
And indeed they both planned to continue with their discussion but Kakashi spoke up.
-I also ask you guys to calm down. Do not be intransigent and remember that if the two refuse, the two are left without inheritance. I have precise instructions to whom she is to be delivered.
There was silence for a few seconds, long enough for Sarada to devise a plan at her convenience.
"I don't do it for the money," the Uchiha said in her elegant tone, getting up from her seat to approach the notary. –But since it wouldn't be funny if he came to enjoy the inheritance now, God knows who, take note that I do want to get married. This man is the one who refuses.- Sarada finished with a victorious expression on her face. Boruto's jaw dropped, but not for long. He got up from his seat and positioned himself next to Sarada.
-I'm getting married too! And I'm not doing it for the money either. But it was going to make me very angry that after having worked all my life on the farm, some take advantage of what I have sweated, which was not a little licensed. - Boruto said annoyed.
-Noticeable. Sarada said passing a hand over her nose. Boruto felt like he was throwing fire out of his ears.
- Sarah. Sasuke said imperatively, approaching her.
-Very well, as both of you are happy to abide by Mrs. Tsunade's will, I ask you to sign please. –Kakashi said handing the minutes to both of them. Sarada began to sign where the lawyer indicated. Boruto was the next to sign, he held out his hand for her to pass the pen but Sarada left it on the desk with a rude gesture and walked away from his side.
The war between the two had barely begun.
Chapter 4
My friends, I am happy that this matter has reached such a pleasant result. Within 30 days they will be husband and wife. Isn't that wonderful? –Kakashi said happy with how things turned out.
-Uhh!
-Woah! Boruto and Sarada exclaimed with false happiness.
-Okay, you can go. We will see each other at the reading of the last letter. Kakashi concluded. There was silence for a couple of seconds.
-Anything you want to add? Sasuke asked Boruto and Sarada.
-Oh dad, I don't want to waste my breath. –Sarada said with his authoritarian tone so characteristic every time Boruto was close. He just looked at her like always.
-I'm also very thrifty godfather. See you. –said the Uzumaki leaving the office. Sarada just rolled her eyes.
-Excuse me. –Sasuke said and left the place together with his daughter.
They both walked through the city. Sarada taking his father by the arm.
"How curious that my wish came true," said the Uchiha, breaking the silence.
-First I get into a convent. Sarada replied, offended by such a statement.
-Sarada… If you're not going to marry Boruto, why did you sign?
-Dad, doesn't the letter say that whoever doesn't want to get married is left without an inheritance?
-And with that?
-Well, I'm going to fight your savage godson so that he comes to hate me so much that he prefers to beg rather than marry me. Sarada said determinedly.
-What are you thinking to do? Sasuke asked concerned.
-You will see.
-Look Sarada...-in that he was interrupted by Chocho Akimichi, Sarada's friend who was walking on the opposite side of the street together with Sumire.
- Sarah! They shouted when they saw her.
- Chocho! Sumire! –the Uchiha greeted them back.
They both crossed the street and came to where Sarada and Sasuke were.
"How are you Mr. Uchiha!" They both said when they saw Sasuke, he just nodded kindly.
-What a miracle girls! They go shopping? Sarah asked smiling.
-Yes! Wouldn't you like to join us? Sumire asked.
-I really can't. But what do you think if I see you today in the afternoon at my house? I have a huge gossip to tell you. Sarada said with a satisfied expression.
-Of course! Chocho and Sumire said.
On the other hand, Boruto and Mitsuki were talking about everything that had happened on a bench in the town park.
-Well, I don't know brother, but getting married is not on my list of things to do.
-But Boruto, you would stay on the street. –Mitsuki said concerned at what his friend had just said.
-Do you think I'm so stupid? Boruto asked seriously.
-But you signed the minutes, I don't know what to think anymore. –Mitsuki said quite confused. The blond just kept silent while he smoked.
-We'll make the plan. –said Boruto, impetuous.
-No, please no. –Mitsuki started to walk backwards as a reflex action.
-I am the foreman of the hacienda and you do what I say, right?
-Your hierarchical position has nothing to do with this Boruto. They're going to kick me. Mitsuki said angrily.
-And what am I for? Boruto asked.
- Well, I don't think to receive half the blows. Mitsuki replied with a worn expression.
-Let's not claim Mitsuki that nothing is going to happen to you, let's go. Boruto finished and began to walk. Mitsuki remained untouched and silent for a couple of seconds until he decided to join him. He knew that he would get into trouble with or without him accompanying him and he also knew that he would still be there to be his second hand as always.
They both approached a flower stand.
-Okay, let's choose. Boruto said rubbing both hands.
1Chapter 5: Chapter 5
-Because ultimately I'm not going to marry someone I just don't love but who also shocks me and makes me sick when I see him.- Sarada said annoyed. Sumire and Chocho were sitting next to her. They had been talking for a while at Sarada's house about the gossip that she had promised them.
- The one you like is Dr. Inojin, right? Chocho asked with a mischievous look.
-Well, even that, I talk well with him and I think he likes me but I don't know. I'm not very convinced either. –She commented Sarada crossing her arms and settling better in the chair where she was sitting.
"And what do you plan to do with Boruto then?" Sumire said desperately.
-Yes, Sarada, tell us! Choco added.
-Very well I will tell you. They just have to promise me they won't tell anyone. Sarada said taking them both by the hands as a sign of promise.
-You know! Chocho replied and sumire nodded.
-Perfect. –The Uchiha commented and began to tell them her plan.
Boruto and Mitsuki were walking straight to the farm.
-Boruto please think about it.
-Silence Mitsuki, it will be perfect. –Boruto said giving the gift box to his friend.
They were already in front of the gates of the enormous house. Boruto knocked and opened the butler.
-Good. Is the lady there?
-Yes sir Uzumaki. Happens!
-No, I'll wait here. The young man will pass to deliver this. –Boruto finished pointing to the box that Mitsuki was carrying on his arm, he took off his hat and passed by. He glared at Boruto again and the blond gestured for him to do him a favor once and for all.
Mitsuki began to walk inside the hacienda accompanied by the butler, they were heading to the living room. As he got closer, he could hear Sarada's voice.
-You tell me if after that you will be brave enough to want to marry me.- Mitsuki began to pay attention to what Sarada was saying.
-What a barbaric woman you are –chocho commented surprised with a mischievous laugh.
"He'll die of anger," Sumire added with a giggle.
- Well, if that's the case, no way. Sarada said in a nonchalant tone.
Mitsuki was intrigued at everything he had just heard.
-Miss, here is the Mitsuki boy with a gift from Mr. Uzumaki. said the butler at the entrance to the living room. Sarada and the girls made shocked expressions.
-What's up? Sarada ordered. Mitsuki walked in feeling quite nervous.
-This is for you miss.- Mitsuki said hesitantly as he handed over the gift.
-So you can see the intentions of the rancher. Chocho mentioned surprised.
-Dresses? She is eating from the palm of my hand.- Sarada commented with an air of grandeur.
Sarada took the box with both hands and when she opened it she got a surprise that she definitely didn't expect.
