I dont know how many times I have to say this but the biggest misinterpretation of Eren's character is that he is a fascist/racist/xenophobe.

YES HE IS A GENOCIDAL AND HIS ACTS ARE UNFORGIVEN , but NONE of his actions were based on a moral belief of "the people of paradise are superior to the rest of the world, all the rest of the cultures/nations/races have to be eliminated because they are inferior".

He is a 19-year-old boy who grew up all his life in an environment of fear, violence, extreme need and total lack of freedom. He is a character deeply marked by trauma. He always was a violent and impulsive boy with radical beliefs thinking that the world is "us" and "our enemies" and that life is kill or be killed.

But he is NOT a person who committed genocide based on discriminatory beliefs. He did it because in his way of understanding the world the only way to be free was to live in a world without other humans who threaten to take away his freedom. In Eren's eyes all the people outside of paradise are enemies, people who were guilty that he and the people he loved grew up locked up in a tiny piece of the world without even knowing why or how, and people who want him and anyone else from paradise to be dead. He is the definition of "a monster created by hate."

If you watched/read Shingeki no Kyojin and your interpretation of Eren is "anime hitler lol" then your levels of analysis and reflective thinking are at rock bottom.

I love the fact that finally (!!!) we'll know how Levi activate his power and improve his physical fighting skills. I'm sure he had experienced the traumatic moment in the same way like Mikasa (ch.6) but it's pity for me that in "Bad Boy" chapter he tells his childhood story to Gabi/Falco, Onyankopon + *(Yelena will overhear). it’s so funny to me how the smartpass stories portray levi as a ‘tea enthusiast’ like 2 separate times when it’s actually the most autistic infodumping ever /pos.

one time, levi is stuck in a shop with a reporter cuz it’s raining. he kind of hates it at first bc he thinks the reporter is more of a gossip collector. but the instant he asks levi what he’s drinking levi is explaining in great detail where tea leaves are being grown, how they’re cultivated and how it affects the food supply for LITERALLY hours.

he wants the reporter to make a story about what matters here. he’s like ‘tea grown at high elevations are higher quality and these elevations are around the capitol but bc of the high demand for the lazy rich and no opportunity in the wider market, the land that could go to growing food-‘ etc

he gets trapped there in the early afternoon and can’t leave until after dark.

another time, original levi squad are perturbed bc of some tea the MP are urgently looking to repossess bc it’s ‘inedible’. levi is like: well aCtUAlLY these leaves are better than what we usually get because even a mule can tell it tastes better when [MOST DETAILED TEA STEEPING DIRECTIONS IMAGINABLE] but also because [INSERT INTRICACIES OF TEA LEAF SHAPE HERE] and i don’t see anything wrong with them because [INSERT METICULOUS STIRRING AND LEAF INSPECTION].

Finally watched the ending of SNK and loved it

and the amount of tears I shed cannot be counted. I cannot express how desperately I love this series. It's amazing, my poor baby Mikasa and my baby Hange. How can I continue without them?

I also rewatched some episodes from OPM and now I ship Saitama and Genos, practically 7 years late to this party xD

I have a confession to make…

(Sorry friend, but this has Season 4 spoilers)

I’m one of these fewer people who’re left who still loves Springles… as in Connie X Sasha.

Yes, I can understand why all of you prefer them to stick as a platonic relationship, especially from how they behave back in season 1 (both quirky in their own ways and funny chemistry) but somehow I can see it as a starting point for their relationship to evolve.

So I will stick with their bond in S1-3 staying as close friends, but as for them in S4? I can’t help but think they look cute together. Their older and (a little) more mature now, so I think either one of them should’ve developed feelings for one another… if a certain incident never happened.

Don’t even get me started with Gordon Ramsey (yes that’s what I call Nicolo) but I feel like he was just shoved in to p*** off the people who paired her with Connie for years. Kinda similar to the Farmer guy. Now if we were allowed to see more screen time of their relationship blooming then I wouldn’t be so mad, but words aren’t enough to convince me they were in love. I need to hear Sasha’s side of it too.

Overall, I feel Connie and Sasha had a bit more potential together, or just give more scenes with Gordon Ramsey and Sasha together. Or in other words… Sasha should’ve survived (ha. Alliteration).

I was ranting to my friends (not anime watchers) about Levi and one of my friends got annoyed and was like, "WHY ARE YOU SO OBSESSED WITH HIM, WHAT DOES HE EVEN HAVE?!" So I was like, "YES BECAUSE WHAT DOES HE NOT HAVE?!"

Jean leaned over the sink while he's shaving, the blade nicking him because he couldn't hold it properly, he wanted to get all the little beard that gathered up on his chin. You knock on the door and smile when he says come in, and boy does the sight of your man shirtless and hunched over trying to shave do things to you. Jean really aged well these past years, looking more rougishly handsome than before, and when those eyes flickered to you in the mirror--a small smile crossed his lips before he ran the blade up his neck.

"You cut yourself again!" You commented when he looked back down, not even realizing there was a little cut on his neck.

Jean sighed, "I'm not good at this!" He threw the blade into the sink, turning to face you and tilt his head up.

"Lemme help you, Jean!" You pull him away from the sink and sit on the edge of the basin, bringing him to stand between your legs.

Jean chuckled, your one hand firmly held his jaw--tilting it up slightly, while the other shaved the stubble and sideburns.

"What are you doing? Why aren't you shaving all off?" He noticed in the mirror that you didn't get the little goatee on his chin and gave you a 'stern look' when you smiled up at him. "It does not work!"

After cleaning his face off and having Jean face himself in the mirror you wrapped your arms around his neck and pressed a few kisses to his neck, "Trust me...the little goatee is working. It's working on me! You look hot You mumbled the last part.

Jean nodded, "Fine...if you think it's good, I'll keep it!" Though, you may have regretted telling him he looks good with us a little bit because he finds an excuse to use it against you.

Not that you mind.

Still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that they totally redid Levi's final scene. Why not extend what was in the manga into what they ended up putting in the show? Why not have that refugee camp be where Levi, Onyan, and Falbi were heading, THEN have the plane fly over, then show them planting and passing out the sweets to the kids? All Mappa really had to do was change their clothes

Don't get me wrong I have lots of thoughts on how they executed lots of other things but sorry I'm still fixated on this. Like does anyone know what the Japanese fandom's thought are?

I'm not saying it wasn't a befitting and heartwarming scene for him. I just wish it had been an enhancement, not a replacement.
