Isayama should not have apologized for the ending. Nobody deserves an apology.

Look as a manga reader, I may not have been a fan of the Attack on Titan ending, but god that animation is gorgeous!

Hahahah, so I'm not the only one listening to cringy character audios with friends in my car and cackling about it. What a funny shared experience. 😂
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that Akira has done some heinous shit. I had no idea about the controversy surrounding him.
I definitely won't be supporting any more of his content or recommending it to others.
Thanks to @levisfavoriteacup for mentioning his problematic behaviour and actions on the previous ask.
i knew he'd done some really bad things but none of the specifics.
if you support King Akira/Akira Dubs (primarily on youtube), please don't. please don't recommend his work. @levisfavoriteacup linked the thread to all of the info. the evidence is overwhelming:
https://twitter.com/MorphyVA/status/1354229197204410372?s=19
this is probably considered "old news" but it's still unacceptable to defend him with the knowledge and severity of his actions. he is most likely still up to the same behaviors, but (i think) because of his position in fandom, low mainstream popularity, and the reasons he's defended (18+ content), victims are afraid to come forward with anything.
at any rate, don't support Akira/Akira Dubs, or at least don't recommend his works to others.

I see you often talked about Hange's gender so sorry to open that topic once again but you said at Hange's song is about "trans experience". The author of the song said the song is about wishing gender stereotypes weren't so rigid and that's how the song is mostly interpreted in Japan (where gender roles are way stricter that in America). Also, Isayama never said Hange is non binary even though there is a Japanese word for that (gender X) but stated her gender is unknown - so why are you so much against people who see her as a woman?
Because they are by definition. Nonbinary is someone who isn't exclusively male or female. Isayama clearly stated Hange can be both genders or none (he asked his staff to either avoid using gendered pronouns in translations or use he and she equal amount of times) which is what nonbinary actually is.
And yes, the song is still about the experience of someone who does not identify with gender stereotypes which is part of a transgender experience.
The words literally say "now i'm a boy, now i'm a girl" and "they say live like a man, like a woman but that's something i can not do" just like Hange who does not have a fixed gender identity but is being forced into a fixed gender stereotype by the fandom. Hange is also inspired by a person who is gay and a crossdresser and Yams said Hange too is a person who does not adhere to our "real world standards" which also makes a pretty clear statement about their gender identity.
Idk why it is so hard for people to just accept Hange as they are instead of trying to shove them into a single frame that they personally feel more comfortable with, but that's just me. 🤷‍♀️

DO NOT excuse me for wanting to feel the same obvious intense and intended emotional rollercoaster of watching my favorite character losing his last person after 2 years of that cursed chapter's release, and one whole decade following the manga and animation.
Also, DO NOT excuse me if I think it could have been just a bit less rushed so I could feel my emotions as immersed in the moment as it was during the heartbreaking and amazing and feral adaptation of The Rumbling. I just wanted to feel the same obvious intense and intended emotional rollercoaster of seeing my two favorite characters (for the past ⅓ years of my life) having a moment so faithful to the manga as possible.
And lastly, DO NOT excuse me for thinking that losing someone you care so much - a person who had been there for you and fought by your side for the past 10 years - deserved a farewell that was properly shown, smoothly shown, and could have lasted at least 60 seconds.
Because my very own 10 years experience with the two character that I've dearly chosen to follow and care and love for so long - and about whom I have my own independent interpretation regardless of all worldwide ship discourse, brain dead ship wars, and whatever unreal takes a few people I don't even know/don't even share the same POV - cannot fit into a weird, superficial, and disguised anti-ship discourse made out of some generic "collective ship standard" idea, false symmetry, and melodramatic, hate-fueled takes that keep spreading misleading information about an entire community.
This is so tiring.
As if everyone - regardless of whatever ship community they are part of - has the exactly.same.POV. As if thousands of people, spread ALL over the globe, with different backgrounds, different understandings, different minds are actually some weird homogeneous retinue of symbiotic, codependent and brain dead beings.
It is so tiring.
It's so fucking tiring.
snk is really a fanDOOM
And this is when the damn Rumbling stops being something to be feared and becomes a fucking hope for humanity.

Guess who just watched the newest snk episode?
Please block #snk spoilers and #aot spoilers if necessary. Also, even if you disagree with whatever is below the cut, please don't fight with me or on this post thank you very much. Let me be emotional lol.
I am about to go on a reblogging spree of my old works and some of my favourite reads because I cannot deal with the pain right now.
I fucking loved the animation and the OSTs and everything. The scenes of the rumbling were amazing and it sent chills down my spine. It really brought out the terror and fear and gore and bloodshed. Everyone's voices were perfect. God tier voice acting. I missed hearing them so much. God tier animation. I don't even have anything negative to say about Floch because it was that good. Ono Kensho I love you please take me as your second wife (I'm kidding).
I loved the talk Annie had with Pieck and Reiner, and how Annie had that small smile on her usually emotionless face. I loved the scene of everyone in the plane. I loved the conversations Reiner, Jean, and Connie had. It was like their big brother Reiner was there with them again.
I loved the little hints of romance between Armin and Annie. It was like a breath of fresh air from the suffocating pains of the rumbling. A sense of calmness amongst the chaos. A glimmer of light in the otherwise dark episode. I loved Mikasa's realisation about Annie's hints of feelings for Armin; and maybe her own realisation that that was what she felt for Eren as well. It just reminded me that hey, these teenagers—these soldiers and warriors, were, and are still, girls at heart.
Hange's final scene was the coolest and most epic. Hange dedicated their life to studying all about the titans, and their last moment was fucking glorious. There was no better way to say sayonara to them. Hange waking up to the vets was the best and saddest thing ever. I missed the vets so fucking much. Erwin and Mike and Moblit and Nanaba and everyone else. 10/10 not expecting this scene to appear so soon but 10/10 loved it being there.
Levi. Levi. Levi Levi Levi Levi. Levi. The love of my life. My anchor and my oxygen and my entire world. I love him. I love him so much. He looks so broken and tired and defeated and I want to hug him so tightly it hurts and I want to tell him how proud I am of him and tell him to fight on for a little longer. He deserves all the good things and happy endings and happiness and peace the world can offer.
And, Eren. My boy. My poor boy. My poor little boy. I feel a pang in my chest every time I think of him. Sadness overwhelms me every time I see him. It just hurts so bad. I really want him to find happiness in his pursuit for freedom. I really want him to be happy and free. I wish he was happy.
On a second note. Kamiya Hiroshi saying 'two fingers is enough' is keeping me alive. Kamona? What kamona? Two fingers is enough. Enough to keep me going.

I hate to see people comparing Eren (even as a fandom joke) to a fucking gringo republican who believes in usa-white supremacy, like??? are we talking about the same character???? of course Eren is a toxic character, a fucking GENOCIDE, and he could NEVER be catalogued as a good person, but contrary to a white supremacist gringo who never in their fucking lives have suffered oppression of any kind and who was always in a place of power and luxury, a person who are just oppressors full of ignorant hatred , Eren's hatred is born FROM THE OPPRESSION, from the suffering that he all his loved ones and all of the people in the paradis island had experienced for centuries, being born in a oppressed country which was condemned to a life of violence, hatred and ignorance. of course none of that makes his actions good or fair, he's still the biggest genocide in the snk universe, but making that comparison is totally out of character and ignores all of Eren's story and origin and all of the plot of the manga/anime itself. I think that if we made a comparison with real life, Eren would be the leader of an anti-state armed extremist group from a "third-world" country or something like that. 🤷🏻

“War is bad/Wow cool robot” except it’s about Attack on Titan.
Instead of a Gundam shooting a laser over the idiot’s head, it’s a bunch of severed Titan heads flying over the idiot.
The flying Titan heads are accompanied by the following messages:
“War is bad
“Revenge is bad”
“Bigotry is bad”
“Holding an ethnic group responsible for the actions of ancestors long dead and using the concept of race-based is immoral, and putting people in ghettos, brainwashing them into self-hatred and literally everything Marley did to the Eldians after the Eldian Empire’s collapse is absolutely Evil, even if the Eldian Empire itself under Fritz’s leadership committed atrocities themselves. Two wrongs do not make a right.”
“If you’re at a point where you can feed a child to dogs under the motivation of racial hatred and legally get away with it, you’re part of an oppressor class and you’re a sociopath benefitting from it”
“The reason people tell you that Hatred breeds hatred is specifically to avoid situations like The Rumbling from happening, because violence breeds violence and the rhetoric used to justify it escalates until unspeakable atrocity occurs and the innocents will suffer along side those who “deserve” it, which is unacceptable.”
“It doesn’t justify his actions at all nor does it erase his accountability in performing them, but the fact is none of this would’ve happened if Eren wasn’t fully convinced that coexistence with the outside world was an impossibility.”
and “The very fact that the rest of the protagonists you’ve grown to love OPPOSED Eren and the Yeagarists should be a massive fucking clue that people like Floch DO NOT HAVE A VIEWPOINT THAT’S BEING ADVOCATED BY THE AUTHOR AS BEING MORALLY CORRECT.”
And the idiot responds “Wow! Nazi propaganda!”

i was trying to think of levi's tickle spots but i feel like he's...a walking tickle spot. maybe especially his feet, neck, rib/side area? tummy? all of the above?
LMAO
Correct.
I think the reason Levi doesn’t like to be touched—besides his terminal touch-starvation/touch-aversion combo—is because he is so fucking ticklish. Like. It’s so easy.
In 1st place of tickle spots is the backs of his thighs. Like first of all he’s never ever touched there besides by you, and baby literally has no way of protecting himself there. At least his feet have callouses (Kuchel couldn’t afford shoes for him in his childhood, so he was always walking around barefoot. Prove me wrong), and his belly has a lot more muscle packed than his thighs can carry. Besides. His thighs are just so big. So sensitive.
2nd place I believe goes to his neck for sure. Like, Levi has some reservations about anything or anyone going near such a vital place, so he’s bound to be super sensitive. like he will gasp a little sharply while you’re suckling a bruise into his throat - he’s so ticklish there it’s uncanny.
3rd: this small spot below his hip, like right in the crease between his thigh and pelvis. Literally you will get punched if you try any funny business LMAO.
The spots below his ribs and up his sides definitely take runner’s up though. He’s so fucking precious it HURTS.

it's a little cringy but it finally dawned on me that Aot is ending forever and I started to tear up. I thought I was over Aot
Do you feel a little sad that Aot is over?
Yes and no.
Yes, because it does feel nostalgic and we will no longer get SnK content as we used to.
No, because this cursed fandom will (hopefully) slowly move on to some other series and leave SnK alone.
