Fic set in a universe where they never reversed the snap. The world has been grieving for 8 years.

Suddenly, one of the snapped reappears, but it is not Peter Parker. It's someone else (maybe Strange, Wanda, Bucky...)

There's debate about what to do. The returned person doesn't seem to remember much, although it's possible they remember more than they're letting on. Should the remaining Avengers study them, interrogate them, let them live out a peaceful life and forget about everyone else?

The debate gets way more intense when Tony Stark finds out what's going on. They've tried to keep it from him, knowing how he'd react, and he definitely lives up to expectations.

Of course they need to find out everything this person knows. They need to bring their missing people back. They need to bring back his son.

How hard will Tony push to find out the truth? to bring his kid home?

Bonus:

At some point, the person admits that they were lying about their memories. They're here because they fell through a portal. They're from another universe.

Except... they genuinely didn't know Tony had a son? They've never heard of anyone called Peter Parker. And yes, their universe does have a Spider-Man. Their universe even has a May Parker -- she died recently, btw. And it was Spider-Man's fault.

This awful news, and the horror story Tony infers from it, makes him even more determined to rescue his kid. Once they learn how to reverse the snap, he's going to make sure he lives to protect Peter from bullshit like what this other Peter Parker had to go through.

Still, he's heartbroken for the version of his kid in this other universe. Before sending the universe hopper back to where they belong, he tells them all about Peter and asks them to find him, to keep him safe. He may or may not send some tech with videos for all of their memory-zapped loved ones too.

As much as I am a Klaus should snap in S4 truther, I really don't think it's going to happen for a multitude of reasons

1. He and Allison often parallel each other (I'm serious and I will make a gif set to prove it one day) in their choices and if Klaus was ever going to snap it was going to be in S3 but instead it chose to show how differently they both approach grief and overwhelming emotions - it's still entirely possible because Klaus went through a lot in S3 that could lead to a breakdown but that's my take

2. If the time gap theory is true (which I'm inclined to believe at this point) then it'll have been seven/eight years since the end of S3 - I'm not saying resentment and betrayal can't build up over that time, but I am saying that Klaus, historically at least, isn't the type to hold onto resentment that long - the only real outlier here being Klaus and Ben in S2 and that was with them constantly being around each other having to deal with that growing distance with no escape from each other

3. It's the last season and realistically storylines are going to be wrapped up, not opened unless for closure - six episodes isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things for a character to have a breakdown and get the closure on the hurt they've received at the same time - Allison's breakdown was a full season long afterall

4. If there is a scene where Klaus confronts Reginald, it'll likely be a short one - all of the characters have their own trauma and feelings towards Reggie and most were affected in some way by his actions in s3 - that being said, he did use Klaus the most so I could be entirely wrong here, but I wouldn't expect much more than if anyone else were to confront him

"meadowes." regulus black always seemed to appear out of thin air.

dorcas had seen him around the castle, of course, and on the quidditch team, since they played together. on the other hand, he didn't speak much to anyone, besides his three friends, rosier, crouch, and pandora lovegood, who had to be, at the time, the only person that dorcas found pleasant in that group.

they raised their eyebrows, drowning in the huge armchair in the slytherin common room. "black." he usually never talked to anyone, so why the change of heart?

"you used to be a seeker." he said bluntly, looking at them from under furrowed eyebrows. they used to be, emphasis on used to. up to their fourth year, two years before, when regulus had taken their position, but they didn't mind. he was bloody brilliant.

"no shit. now, what's so important that you decided to come through the lowly and talk to me?" they grinned, teasing.

regulus opened his mouth, then closed it, then opened it again. at last, he resorted to snapping it shut and glarinf at them, which made them feel weirdly superior.

"reg said he needs your help," pandora smiled. ("when did she appear?" dorcas asked themselves). "he said he needs to get faster, because gilderoy lockhart," she air-quoted, "might have a big head, but it doesn't stop him from flying like a comet."

"and was it so hard to admit you needed help?" dorcas cooed.

"apparently." pandora shrugged.

"i could do that just fine on my own, thanks, pandora." what surpised them is that his voice wasn't snappy, like it was with everyone else. it was firm, but a strange warm.

"seems like you couldn't." she sat down next to dkrcas. "i don't think we've been introduced to each other properly, although we've crossed paths at benjy's. i'm pandora lovegood." she smiled, and dorcas didn't even have to think twice before shaking their hand.

"dorcas. meadowes. right, black, you've fifteen to be on the quidditch pitch if you want help. see you!" they exclaimed, jumping up the armchair and making their way to their dorm, not before blowing them a kiss.

"insufferable," regulus muttered under his breath.

pandora clasped her hands together. "i think they're absolutely lovely."
