It's looking very promising for longi litters this summer. I did a little outcrossing with my lines this year to help add variety.

A new analysis of fossilized vertebrae discovered in western India has revealed the existence of a giant snake species that may have measured some 11 to 15 meters (36.1 to 49.2 feet) in length when fully grown.
The researchers behind the work, from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, acknowledge some uncertainty in their estimations, but they suggest the newly identified reptile they've named Vasuki indicus may have equaled the size of the largest snake in history, the Titanoboa, which died out some 58 million years ago.
Compared with snake species still slithering around today, V. indicus is way ahead. As far as verified measurements go, the longest living snake right now measures a paltry 7.67 meters.

It's almost done! Hope Sunny will feel well enough soon to leave his ICU tub for the new cage.
He'll have a shelf and a hammock for climbing now, and of course his hide will be on the hot spot on bottom right.
Today we'll wire up the fans and the heater, as well as the thermostat and the hygrostat to control them and the humidifier, and then we can close up the back.

my prettiest girl, gal, finally had a full and complete shed for the first time since i brought her home! i live in a basement apartment so the humidity struggle has been real, but despite all my best efforts, she always shed in pieces prior to this.
i'm so proud of herrrrrrrrrr
Edit: she has a humid hide, a PVC enclosure, I dampen her substrate every few days, and have three water bowls in the tank. I still had to just run a humidifier the whole shed period this time and it finally worked.

Ignore the dirty doors, but Aisling has actually gotten on her background!!! This is the first time I've seen her do this, and of course it's right after eating a large meal.
