You know what fucks me up about people having doubt Maki survived getting hit with Black Flash?

The fact that whenever someone has been hit with a Black Flash before... THEY SURVIVED IT.

Eso and Kechizu didn't die until Nobara hit them with her technique.

Mahito hit Black Flashes and those he hit SURVIVED (Todo and Yuji).

Todo hit Mahito with one and he SURVIVED it.

Satoru used it against Sukuna and look at that. SUKUNA IS STILL UP!!

Yuji has performed the most number of Black Flashes in total and those who got hit with them SURVIVED. Hanami and Mahito didn't die until Shibuya and they were killed by different people! (Satoru and Kenjaku respectively.)

Yuta used Black Flash against Suguru and he SURVIVED that punch. That's an anime only scene, too!

The only person I can recall who used a Black Flash and his victims died and that was Nanami. And guess what? Those were just cursed spirits.

So again why was people doubted Maki survived?

Hm... is it because bodies are dropping? Doubt it because everyone else as I mentioned still survived the Black Flash. As a snake metahuman, meat is essential to Copperhead's diet though he also enjoys fruit for it's natural sweetness! Bananas, figs, apricots - anything soft and easily eaten is both a delicious treat and quick energy booster during lean periods when he's had to lie in wait for particularly skittish targets. Meals were a rarity as a full belly makes for slow reaction times but as his relationship with @question-marked developed, Copperhead's tried (and enjoyed!) new things in his diet, especially pasta. Like his namesake, Copperhead enjoys poultry but is partial to eggs and fish too. One thing he does miss however is the street food from Arizona what with having been born there. You can buy just about anything in Gotham if you know who to ask but good luck finding some half-decent tameles.

weird ask but what. do the arakawa family smell like. like what perfumes do they use/do they stink of cigarettes/etc.

arakawa = the scent of cigarette smoke and bourbon does well to equalize the profile of oud wood, not allowing the sweet smell to overpower his mysterious profile. whatever does seep through, you're more likely to catch the more woody, tangy notes- though people who stay around long enough recognize that sweet, nutmeg smell first

sawashiro = legally have to say he smells like a smokey leather couch cause of his 2019 outfit and for the occasional cig or two he'll have BUT as for colognes, definitely something akin to masato where it's more on the down-low as far as scent impressions go. unlike masato though, it's nothing superbly complex and isn't trying to invite anyone to stay and compliment the profile. besides the leather, theres a deep, earthy smell- but stay around long enough, and you might catch a speck of rose

ichiban = definitely tried to find a dupe for arakawa's cologne, though our boy's on a budget: cause'a that, he's got a preference for more woody colognes, wearing a sweet patchouli cologne that possesses an undertone of orange. luckily, the help of cigarette smoke and shea butter helps dilute the potency of his cologne

masato = definitely isn't shy about buying something pricey, and there's payoff for it. leans towards more extravagant fragrances, a castoreum and leather blend being his usual wear. his cologne isn't overly strong, yet it's present enough to make you want to linger to catch it. the only one on this list to not smell like smoke in the slightest

aoki = wears abundantly brighter and more inviting colognes. opposed to harsh, mysterious smells he'll wear the likes of cedarwood. there's still notes of leather to his profile, though. it's just barely masked by the cedar

mitsu = if we're talkin' the 90's, then nothing especially of note. doesn't care too much about colognes (or can even really afford anything especially nice), and he doesn't pay any real attention to deo and body/hair wash scents. legally has to smell a bit of cigarette smoke on account of hangin with people who smoke, but i couldnt tell you if he smokes himself or not. fast forward to 2019, something about him's telling me he'd wear some kind of aquatic cologne- like sage and sea salt..

what they look like :ㅤlike a punk. like you're not really sure if they're a guy or a girl, but you can tell they're here to cause problems. you're not sure if it's the edge that underlines all the pink they wear, or the way all their tattoos and piercings contrast all the colourful clips in their hair and cute imagery across their person, or even if it's the confident way they carry themself, but they look like trouble. hair down to their shoulders, it's usually pulled back from their face in a fluffy half ponytail, better showing off the vibrant, often glittery, makeup done by a skilled hand. they're a little underweight but fit enough to make up for it and, already standing at a decent height, they carry an odd, almost contradictorily intimidating presence when they're wearing the bright platform boots they're so fond of. they look unique, carrying a strange contrast of cute and soft vs. tough and sharp.

what they smell like :ㅤdepends on when you're catching them. if you happen across them early enough in the day, they smell quite pleasant — usually a light yet sweet mix of something resembling berries and a fruity or flowery scented moisturizer. later in the day, however, while that scent does still linger, it's now beneath a layer of sweat, sometimes blood, smoke, and weed.

what they taste like :ㅤthis feels a little inappropriate so i'll leave it at smoke, weed, and sweets because that's what their breath smells like. ...that's pretty much what they smell like as a whole.

what they sound like :ㅤunnecessarily loud, like a kid who was never listened to and got sick of being ignored. they demand to be heard, whether you're the one they're talking to or not — even their laugh demands attention, loud enough to be heard three rooms over and arguably contagious if it's not you they're laughing at. voice mid to high in pitch, they sound quite young despite how brashly and overconfidently they speak and how a constant stream of profanity and insults seems to pass through their lips. they carry an impatience as well, with a distinct use of contractions even where it seems unnecessary and a need to get their point across in as few words as possible, excepting all the embellishments and hyperbole they deem necessary, even as they continue talking at such lengths that you get the impression they just like hearing themself talk.

what they feel like :ㅤfirm. undeniably present and unmoving, like they refuse to let themself be pushed aside. there's a strength that can be felt with even the lightest touch, better put on display by the feel of their sturdy, unflinching grip. there's an air of roughness, of a rigidity that had to be built up after being knocked down one too many times. —and yet... there's a softness to be found between the divots of the scars that mark their skin which mirrors the gentleness they're capable of, if you're one of the lucky few they'll allow past that tough exterior.
