I know it's a bit of a taboo topic to talk about in the fandom rn, but director Wes Ball does amazing work with Mo-Cap, even creating entire short films with nothing but. Do you think this kind of technology would work better than traditional CGI to bring our beloved world to life?

Absolutely not. All due respect to Mr Ball, but his taste and mine are wildly different. I’m a huge fan of practical effects, and while CGI certainly has its place and it’s undeniable value, I would honestly rather watch a cosplay fan film shot on an iPhone than a multimillion dollar mocap cgi movie.

It’s a huge peeve of mine to say someone is doing a live action adaptation and then animate the entire thing in a hyper-realistic style. Mocap is digital rotoscoping, he talks about working in Unreal. It’s animation! It’s just animation with a lot less flavor and a lot more limitations grounded in hyper-realism than you could’ve had if you’d made what you’d just go ahead and call an animated film.

I imagine it will be almost entirely hyper-realistic mocap cgi, and considering he openly supports ai it will probably contain that as well, and I’m a little sick about it ngl.

But I was rooting for Illumination Zelda and I know people hated that idea too, so what do I know.

Starfruit def knows, he looked up *everything* the second he got his hands on the Library. Bonus; I hc that he's likely the one raised by his two older gay moms.

Reborn Smokey likely doesn't know because he hasn't gotten to that chapter yet, or he didn't recognise that the two elder monkeys that looked out for him as a kid were Celestial Primates like him. Liang knew tho, and just assumed Smokey knew too.

I'm just laughing at the thought of Dasheng grabbing a book or documentary and getting to the part about the other Celestial Primates like?? He's shocked, annoyed, and wondering where these old mfs are so they can meet up and talk.

still thinking about this actually WE WERE SO ROBBED. this would have given some much needed exposition to dedede's role/motives in sse. i could be wrong but i've always imagined he was trying to defeat and put one of his badges on meta knight like he was doing with the other characters, but he sure picked the worst time to start beef lol. judging by the phrase "unwittingly", i assume he didn't mean for meta knight to lose the halberd, but ultimately meta knight couldn't concentrate on defending his ship when he also had dedede attacking him out of nowhere.
