hello! Love your writing style 💘 can you write another 'him as a simp' headcanons for rudra, indra and thor?
Hell yeah! Here we go, hope you like it🌻💛
Tumblr media
RoR characters headcanons: him as a simp! pt.3
Tumblr media
Rudra
🌪This Storm God has a very sweet way of showing you how much he is in love with you. He's the type to leave little gifts here and there: you like flowers? You will have one next to you every morning when you wake up; you like sweets? No problem, you'll have those too.
🌪Rudra wouldn't mind putting on some background music to dance with you in a silent night, lulled by the light of the moon and the song of the cicadas. His hands rest on your curves gently, as he caresses you between steps and turns, analyzing your every movement with dreamy eyes.
🌪Expect to find at least one arm around your shoulders whenever you two are standing close. Rudra need to feel you near. Period. He must know that you are by his side and he must remind all other deities who do you belong to! He doesn't trust other gods or goddesses...protective mode: on.
🌪DANCING IN THE RAIN. There's nothing better than having fun in the rain while Rudra does his job; it always ends like this when he takes you with him. Even if you end up with a cold afterward, the God will take care of you, don't worry.
Tumblr media
Indra
⚡️The most intimate thing Indra can do is let you sleep with him. When he rests, his guard is completely down and doing it in your presence is his greatest act of love. He is not a deity with many worries, he lives his life in relaxation and tranquility...and he wants to share those feelings with you.
⚡️The massages. Expect to find Indra gently massaging you to relax you: he comes from behind, stealthily and without being heard, and then hugs you from behind and cuddles you like never before; first Indra massages your shoulders, then your back, your hips...
⚡️And of course, small bites here and there couldn't be missed. The God of Thunder loves to nibble on your fingers, they are too irresistible for him! He takes your wrist to caress it, then slowly opens your hand and...nom!
⚡️But the greatest thing Indra can offer you is his power. When you are with him, the power he possesses is yours too, just ask and he will obey: if you're human, you'll be divinity; if you're a diety, he'll make you a ruler among the other gods.
Tumblr media
Thor
🔴Having Thor simping for you is the equivalent of having a guardian angel. He will always protect you, in any situation, you will have the perennial support of the silent giant: don't hesitate to ask him for help...Thor will always answer your prayers.
🔴You're the only one he lets touch his hammer (don't think dirty-), especially when you trace all the thunder-shaped incisions with your little fingers. He loves the way your eyes shine when you do that!
🔴Thor trusts you enough to trust you with his garden when he can't take care of it, you're the only one who can and he gets jealous if someone else jokes about keeping you company. Especially Loki, it is no coincidence that the red-haired God tries to keep him away from you at all costs.
🔴If there's one thing Thor loves, it's cuddling you in his arms during a thunderstorm. He feels your head on his chest and it gives him a unique sense of protection in the world, something he has never felt; the God adores you so much that he can't help but hold you tight, constantly asking you if he's hurting you. What a cutie...

Can you write one where the Rogers is assigning a new recruit to each avenger for training? Loki gets the new girl and he’s irritated thinking she’s just some normal human that hasn’t a clue how to fight properly because of her petite size. When it comes time for them to spar, she gives him hell. She fights with swords and is very skilled in the art. He says something to piss her off and she ends up blasting him away with powers she never told anyone about. Loki realizes what she is since he knows the magic she used. She’s part light elf but being half human she was abandoned and left to die just like Loki was. They end up bonding and work together on the team.
A/N: I hope you like it! I didn't focus a whole ton of them working together, but I feel like you get the point. It's a bit longer than my other one shots.
The Moon And Her Darkness
Summary: Y/N, the newest avenger, starts her first day of training. An unimpressed Loki’s doubts are proved to be wrong when she reveals herself to be stronger than he knew.
Word count: 2744
Warnings: angst, dick Loki

Your blood pumps fast through your body as you stare at the raven haired god. Ever since you joined the team, he’s been giving you dirty looks and eye rolls. You tried to not pay attention to it since you know of his past (and have been warned by Tony), but as the newest Avenger trying to prove herself, you find yourself longing for his approval.
It has been a week since Nicky Fury showed up at your home, extracting you from it, and throwing you into the lion's den you called the Avengers. You never signed up for it, but given that you were on the government’s radar for a long time, you’re not surprised. A couple mishaps here and there made them take you on their own terms. They’ve decided that having super powers is not something to be normalized and that you couldn’t live like a normal civilian.
Although you want to be home, the Avengers have already shown to be a great family. Nat and Wanda have already taken you shopping while Steve gave you a tour of the tower. As far as the others, they have been out of sight. Bucky avoids everyone, Sam with him because they’re glued to the hip, and Tony is somewhere else working on new technology with Bruce. Clint? Thor? Who even knows. You’ve been thankful for the attention they have given you.
Except for Loki.
You remember the attack in New York and you won’t lie when saying that approaching the god is intimidating. He stands with great pride and power, it’s hard not to feel small, but when he stares at you the way he does, it’s harder. He doesn’t stop looking at you as if you were a rat he found in a sandwich. Disposable. Replaceable. Disgusting. You don’t expect much from the God being that he’s only staying here out of punishment for the attacks, but you had hoped for a little something more. Even a prank or two.
When Steve told you that you were going to start training, you expected hand to hand combat like the rest, not whatever involves Loki being in the gym at the same time as the two of you. He hasn’t said a word, but just stared at you as Steve goes over some basic disabling techniques and defense. Most of it is already burned in your brain from your childhood, being a warrior and all, but you still manage to learn some new things.
But learning as to why Loki is there, that still remains unclear. Everytime you throw a punch or try to block one of Steve’s, Loki scoffs at you and rolls his eyes. He looks completely relaxed on a bench in the room, yet he could not be looking at you with a more tense gaze. He looks worried, as if you’re going to get beaten to a pulp.
“Okay, what’s wrong?” You yell at him.
Panting, you block Steve’s last hit and turn to the younger Odinson.
“Sorry?”
“Oh, don’t sorry me. Cut the crap, Loki. What’s up?”
“I believe the sky is.”
You grab a knife off the wall and aim it in his direction, startling him slightly but not even shocking Steve.
“You stare at me with daggers in your eyes and judge my every move. You have yet to even talk to me since I joined the team. What do you have against me, you ass?”
“Y/N-”
“Shut it, Steve!” You yell, quickly aiming the dagger at him before returning to Loki, “You. Talk.”
“It’s just pathetic, that’s all.”
“Pathetic? You’re calling me pathetic?”
You start to charge at Loki, but Steve quickly wraps his arm around your waist, holding you back from gutting the god.
“Y/N, I wanted you to spar with him after me,” he cuts in.
“And why would I do that?”
“Because he's a skilled fighter who matches your level.”
“Oh, so I spar with the tricker who decides I’m too pathetic to fight. He’s going to teleport or some shit and stab me like he does with Thor.” Loki’s eyebrows raise at the mention of Thor getting stabbed. “Yes, I’ve heard the stories. I’m not that naive, Steve.”
“I won’t leave you alone with him. I’ll be here to watch and guide.”
“What do you know about fighting with me? I have magic beyond belief” Loki asks the both of you.
“I know more than you think,” I spit, turning back to Steve, “Can we do something else?”
“Well, you coud-”
“I am not sparing with Loki.”
“Okay, then how about weapons? Whatever one you want to start with?”
Loki scoffs again at the mention of you fighting any other way than hand to hand combat. He’s lucky you’re on the same team as him or else you would have decapitated him by now just because of annoyance. How can a man so attractive be so obnoxious?
You walk over to the wall of weapons were Steve and quietly discuss which ones you’ll practice with. He recommends knives so you can spar with Natasha when he’s gone, but the swords are more up your alley. They remind you of your childhood, the weapon of your people. Some days, you miss them, but you know they are fighting their own battle that is too dangerous for you.
Picking up the swords, Steve warns you he is not good which makes Loki laugh again. He has the right to this time because how do you practice with a man who doesn’t know what he’s doing. You can’t last ten minutes with Cap before you’re tired of his flailing. He’s really not good.
“Loki, you wouldn’t happen to know how to use swords would you?”
“I have some experience. Asgard knights and Valkyrie used them, we were forced to learn.”
He stands and takes Steve’s sword from him. Turning to you, he smirks, taking you in. Your frame looks so small compared to his, nothing but a mortal. He’s never admit it, but he finds you slightly adorable, in a helpless baby sort of way. You take proper stance and stare at Loki dead in the eye, determined to prove him wrong.
The two of you run at each other, swinging at any unblocked area you can, yet never hitting. He blocks your swing, pushing you back but not down. Looking up at him, you scream and run, thrusting your sword towards his neck and legs. He blocks you again, but not without stumbling. Before he’s able to get up, you land a blow right to his chest, knocking the air out of him. He hooks his foot around your leg and flips the two of you over so he hovers above you, sword to throat.
“I’ll admit it, you are good, but not great,” he laughs.
He stands up and walks off, setting the swords back on their holder on the wall. You gradually stand up, fury in your bones for the way he speaks to you.
“You… are irritable!” You yell.
Right before Loki gets to the door, he turns to face you. Steve rushes to your side.
“Y/N, stop. He’s not worth it.”
“Oh, he’s not worth it, alright,” you mutter to Steve, “He’s not worth the pride. The praise. Whatever the ‘glorious purpose’ he thinks he has. He’s just an insecure little boy who needs to prove himself over others, make them feel small so he feels superior. Just a bully.”
“I’d watch your tongue,” Loki warns.
“Or else what? You’ll challenge me to a words competition? See who has the best insults or can sound like the biggest douche because I think we all know who would win! Another check mark for your book of things you’re better at than ‘midgardians’ or ‘mortals’ or whatever degrading nickname you think of next.”
Loki’s chest heaves in anger. You’ve never seen someone so angry or heard anyone yelling at you with concern like Steve. Nothing he says registers in your head as Loki’s daring looks fill your mind. You’d almost be scared if you didn’t know he’s full of empty threats. Just a scared little god boy.
“You imbecile, think you can scare me?”
“Actually, I think anything can.”
“I can take words from someone who does not know me, but to be called a coward is not something I take lightly.”
“So what are you going to do about it? Huh?”
“Nothing, I don’t waste my time on people like you.”
“Oh, people like me? Because the great Frost Giant Asgardian is sooo superior.”
“Don’t you ever say that.”
Loki rushes to your side, grabbing you by the throat and lifting you up against the wall.
“Loki, stop it!” Steve yells.
“This is not about you, Rodgers. I suggest you leave before getting in the crossfire.”
“I can’t do that. The safety of this team-”
“Is your priority. I know you are honorable, but I highly suggest you leave.”
Steve hesitates at the sound of you gasping for air. You cling onto Loki’s hand, tightly wound around your throat. His veins pop out of his hand like a dehydrated man. Steve looks back at you, eyes now closed to focus on your breathing.
“Put her down first,” Steve orders.
“Fine, always have to be the hero.”
Loki sets you down and your body goes numb. Everything hurts, your throat swelling. You gasp for all the air you can, feeling it go down your throat and enter your lungs. It’s fresh, comforting, healing. Leaning your head back against the wall, you barely open your eyes to see Steve by your side.
“Are you okay?”
Not energized enough to speak yet, you nod your head and place your hand on his shoulder. Steve looks over at you with worry before turning back to Loki.
“Leave, now.”
“Gladly.”
Loki turns to walk away, but doesn’t. He stands there to listen to you and Steve. At this point, neither of you care. You’re too focused on not dying.
“Can you breathe?” Steve asks.
You nod your head.
“I can get you help. We have a hospital room.”
“No,” you choke, “I’m fine. I just need a moment.”
Steve nods, but doesn’t listen. He gets up and leaves the room, rushing down the hallways to get a nurse, leaving you alone with Loki.
“Why haven’t you left?”
“No reason.”
“Please, just go. I’m tired of fighting. You’ve done enough.”
Loki turns to look at you. You look weak, but actually weak this time. The purple tint to your skin is fading as your lungs self regenerate as you keep breathing. Gripping onto the wall behind you, you stand up. Your knees are weak, making you wobble as you do. You’re not lying. You’re tired of Loki. You’ve barely spoken to the man and he’s made two attempts on your life in ten minutes. Sure, you teased him, but doesn’t he deserve it for being an ass.
“Weak.” He mutters.
That was the last straw. You look up at him. He stares at you as if the devil himself has entered you and your eyes glow bright red, but you know what is wrong. Holding out your hand towards Loki. A glow erupts from behind you, bright yet dark. It’s dark blue like the night sky and Loki watches it in awe. In seconds, Loki’s body is flung through the training room doors, blasting him into the wall of the hallways. He feels his rib breaking, his head hitting the wall. He yells out in pain as you slowly approach him, the anger seeping through.
“Never call me weak.”
Loki flips his head up to look at you, shock running through his body. At the sound of his body collapsing, the other Avengers come running forward. They look upon the sight of you towering over the trickster god with a look they’ve never seen before. Ethereal. Godly. You look as if you’re a queen staring at her peasant handmaid. Anger. Controlling. Power.
“What the-” Bucky mutters.
“You,” Loki gasps.
He struggles to stand as the team tries to help but he refuses. You two locked eyes but nothing was said. “You’re an elf.”
Everyone looks back at you with confused faces, but you don’t say anything. Your body goes hot at the mention of the word ‘elf’. The fire inside you fades out as anxiety places it, waiting for Loki to continue.
“I knew if someone was here to figure it out it’d be you,” you whisper.
“Light elf yes?”
“Yes, moon elf to be exact.”
“How are you here? Aren’t the-”
“Yes, they’re away. I was left to die. Our town got ransacked, everyone fled. No one stopped for me.”
“Then how are you here?”
“The Air elves. They got word of what happened and came. Found me. Took me back, but-”
“You weren’t suited. They found out.”
“Yes.”
There’s a moment of silence between you and the god. His eyes shine with sadness, tears coming to the corners. He looks at you with great pity as the wall inside you breaks.
“Can someone explain what’s happening?” Steve asks.
“Can you tell?” You ask Loki.
He nods, “Yes. Y/N is a moon elf, a tribe of light elves. They’re as high up as Asgard in the nine realms, powerful warriors. They’ve been at the center of every creature out there. People have been after them for their weapons, gems, and wealth. A landmark for every thief and warrior in the universe.”
“My town was destroyed when I was a little girl. Nobody wanted me because I was a child. I was a burden to them.”
“She was left for dead to be found by the Air Elves. Another tribe. Not as powerful. But they didn’t want her and there’s only one reason why they wouldn’t want a moon elf. She’s a half-breed.”
“Moon elves are the only ones who tolerate them. Half human, half elf. Considering many of them come from moon elves, they’re not despised, but Air Elves.”
“They dropped you off on Midgard to be picked up by someone else. I assume you hid your powers?” “I had to. I acted out once when I was little and my parents freaked out. They sent me away. I lived in a orphanage before some group took me, trained me, helped me hone in my powers. They saved me.”
“Until you got to old and left.”
“Didn’t know where to go. I became a waitress at some back alley bar, lived above it in an apartment with my manager. Lived paycheck to paycheck.”
“Then?”
“Nicky Fury came to me. I was on SHIELD’s radar and they wanted me on the Avengers.”
The room goes silent. Throughout your talking you missed the way Loki got considerably closer to you. You practically stand right under his nose. Loki raises his hands and places them on your shoulders, getting your attention. You two look each other in the eye for a long moment.
“I am… so sorry.”
You feel the tears forming in your eyes as Loki pulls you into his chest, holding you by your waist. The team watches in awe as the closed off god embraces you. Slowly, everyone leaves you two in the hallway. An hour goes by as you cry in Loki’s eyes.
Eventually, Loki picks you up bridal style and brings you to your bedroom. He helps you get dressed for the night and settled in bed before you grab his hand, making him turn back to face you. His eyes are no longer riddled with anger or hatred, but kindness and pity. He looks at you like you’re a little lamb to be protected.
“Yes, darling?”
“Stay with me?”
He nods before undressing and getting in bed with you. He pulls you close, your head leaning on his chest, and places an arm around your waist.
Every night goes on like this. No matter what happened in the day, even if you two got into an argument, Loki always found his way back by your side in your bed. You would have never expect it from how he treated you at first, but after the last few months since you met him, you find yourself growing closer to the god.
Loki slips into your bed for what feels like the 1482nd time. Resting your head on his chest, Loki pulls you close to his body.
“Goodnight, darling.”

Author’s note: I’ve been thinking about how Loki would act at a meet and greet, especially if he was a giant and what would happen if he met a tiny fan-...so here ya go!! Enjoy!😊
Oh! And before I forget to tell you all, this story is super long! I just couldn’t help myself ☺️

~“You’re a Fan of Mine?”~
Tumblr media
The 2nd Annual Avengers Meet and Greet had started at last!
The team had decided to start this event when Thor and Loki returned to Earth after Asgard was destroyed. More specifically, it was for the sake of Loki’s reputation. He wasn’t popular whatsoever among the humans, especially not after the New York attack back in 2012, but Loki really was trying to become a better person. Didn’t anyone ever hear of the phrase ‘people change’?
Loki just didn’t see the need of being in a room full of tiny mortals to show that he had turned over a new leaf. That’s right. Tiny mortals.
His body grew in size, letting him stand at 90 feet tall. No one was sure why Loki had grown to be a giant, but Loki did. He believed it was because of Odin’s death. The spell that Odin had put on Loki centuries ago when he found him as a baby must have weakened. Loki had grown to the size he was meant to be as a Frost Giant. Since he was the rightful heir to the throne of Jotunheim, he surpassed the rest of the Jötuns’ height by miles.
A room designed and built was given to him in the Avengers Tower. It was a library fit for a giant-..well, fit for Loki, in this case. Book shelves covered the walls with novels that towered over humans, but fit perfectly in Loki’s grasp. He even had his own personal desk and, of course, a bed that was covered in silk green sheets. The meet and greets were always held in Loki’s room only because it was the biggest spot in the entire tower.
After the first successful year of meeting the team’s lovely fans, more and more people found out about it and showed up this year. It wasn’t successful for Loki, though. The previous year, Stark had all of the fans stay out in the common area. So it was up in the air for anyone to go see Loki. He stayed in his room the entire time, waiting to see if one brave soul would enter his bedroom and attempt to talk to him, but no one did. The whole point of the event was for Loki to talk with at least one person!
At the moment, Loki was sitting at his desk in his room, staring down at Tony Stark, who was decked out in friendship brackets and necklaces that the children had made him. Loki rolled his eyes just looking at how pathetic he looked.
The rest of the team was spread out throughout the whole room. Fans were practically everywhere. Most of the fans were little kids and teenagers. The simple sight of the younglings made Loki’s head spin. He was practically glued to his chair, not wanting to get up and accidentally hurt someone.
If Loki had to guess, he’d say there were about 300 kids there and still, not one of them came over to greet him.
“Stark, I really don’t see what all the fuss is about. I mean, what even is the purpose of this ‘Meet and Greet’ you speak of?”, questioned Loki.
“Quiet, reindeer games. You know why we started the meet and greet. Just smile and wave at everyone. Even if you don’t want to be nice, just fake it. And don’t purposefully scare the kids! I can’t deal with a parent scolding me about how a giant god with raven black rock n’ roll hair made their kid cry just by smirking at them. That was a nightmare last year”, said Tony rubbing his eyes.
Loki scoffed. “Well it wasn’t my fault the child walked into my chambers when I was reading. Who would interrupt someone during a Shakespeare reading session?” Tony laughed at how sarcastic Loki sounded. “That must have been a real good Shakespeare book if you brought the kid to tears. Let’s see-..was it Hamlet?”, asked Tony.
Loki grinned. “No, I read that last week. It was Coriolanus”, said Loki, chuckling, as he looked down at Tony, who started to join in on the laughter.
After the laughing died down, there was a pause between the two of them. “Obviously nobody was interested in meeting me anyways. Not one mortal came in here last year to talk with me”, said Loki sadly. He didn’t want to admit it, but Loki really wished that he had a fan. At this point, he didn’t even mind if his fan was a mortal. Loki wanted someone who admired him for who he was and the good that he has been doing with the rest of the Avengers. He didn’t want to be known as the Asgardian who tried to take over the world anymore. He wanted to be known as someone’s hero.
“Loki, listen to me. I bet you one of these kids are gonna come up to you and say hi”, said Tony with a reassuring smile on his face. Loki began to fiddle with his fingers, uncertain if he should believe the small human in front of him. “And what if one doesn’t? Then what am I left to do? Sulk around and remember that no one in this city likes me?”, he asked sounding even more sad than before.
Tony sighed. “Hey, don’t be too hard on yourself. The event just started! Just be yourself, Loki. And I promise you that you’ll meet someone today”, he said. Loki was about to contradict what Stark had just said, but a group of kids that were standing on Loki’s bed started to chant the name, ‘Ironman’.
Loki and Tony looked over towards everyone. “Well, I guess I should get over there, huh?”, asked Tony. He looked up at Loki, who simply nodded at him and waved him off. Tony smiled and said, “I promise. This is the year you meet a fan of yours.” And with that, Tony walked over to the edge of the desk and tapped his arc reactor two times. He was wearing his suit in a matter of seconds thanks to the nano tech he had invented.
Loki watched as Tony flew over to all the kids, getting hugs from each and everyone one of them. ‘I need a miracle to get that kind of attention’, thought Loki to himself. He was back to square one. Loki was all alone again.
‘I knew this was a terrible idea’, thought Loki to himself as he watched the Avengers interacting with all of their fans. They all made it look so easy. ‘Why can’t one of these mortals at least say hi to me? It can’t be that hard’, thought Loki to himself.
Little did Loki know, a human girl named Y/n, who was around the age of fifteen, was watching him from afar on the large bed that was next to the desk that Loki sat at.
Rather than joining the other kids in awing at Ironman flying around, trying to learn fighting combinations from Natasha, or even learning how to properly hold a bow with the help of Clint, she was standing by herself, trying to muster up the courage to go over to Loki and talk to him.
She was a nervous wreck just thinking about what the conversation would be like. Instead of fiddling with her fingers like Loki was doing before, she clenched the hand-made plush of the God of Mischief she held in her shaky grasp. Y/n had decided to make it when she heard that the Avengers were doing a second meet and greet. Y/n finally had the opportunity to speak with Loki! She wanted to show him her gratitude for protecting New York with the Avengers and to tell him that he was her favorite amongst the group. So, what better gift to give Loki than a plush of himself!
She could have written something in a ‘thank you’ card or even decorated a poster, but Y/n wanted to make him something special that took time to put together and this plush toy was perfect.
The plush stood at about 1 foot tall and it was very adorable. Although Y/n didn’t sew on a green cape like she wanted to, she had gotten her hands on a piece of yellow fabric and turned it into a horned helmet. Loki was, without a doubt, going to love it, but Y/n kept on hesitating on whether or not she should give it to him.
‘Oh gosh. What if he laughs at me when I hand it to him? ’, thought Y/n to herself. She couldn’t stop shaking. Her legs were barely holding her up anymore. Y/n just pictured herself standing on the desk in front of Loki and how small she would look compared to him.
“Hello little one! Why aren’t you with the others?”, said a voice from behind Y/n. She jumped, dropping the hand-made plush onto the mattress below her.
She spun around to find out who had snuck up behind her and startled her. Y/n’s eyes widened as she looked up at the tall, blonde haired man. “M-Mr. Thor! I-It’s a pleasure to meet you!”, said Y/n excitedly. Her face instantly turned red. Y/n was very shy around other people, so her burst of energy she got made her backpedal into her shell. She knows for a fact that she’ll be stuttering if she gets to talk to Loki.
Thor chuckled loudly. “It is an honor to meet you as well, little one. Apologies for scaring you.” His eyes trailed down at what Y/n had dropped. His mouth dropped open in awe. He bent down and picked the plush up before Y/n had the chance to hide it.
As Thor held the plush toy in front of him, he admired the precision of the details and traced his fingers along the lines of the stitches. When Thor realized who the plush represented, he gasped.
“Young one, is this-...is this Loki?”, asked Thor, astonished that he was holding a hand-made toy of his brother. Y/n lowered her head down, embarrassed about the whole situation that was happening. “Y-Yes, sir”, she said timidly.
Thor stared at the small girl in front of him and then looked back at the plush. “This is absolutely incredible, young one! Did you make this?”, Thor asked as he stared at the plush toy, looking at it in amazement. He couldn’t take his eyes off of it! Y/n nodded, too nervous to say anything else.
“We must get this to Loki right away! Oh, he’s going to love this! Let me go call him over here for you”, said Thor cheerfully.
Y/n’s heart stopped at the mention of Loki coming towards her. She wasn’t ready to meet him yet. In fact, she wasn’t ever going to be ready! “N-No Mr. Thor p-please! D-Don’t!”, exclaimed Y/n.
Thor stopped jumping up and down, a frown replacing the happy smile he had on. “Whatever do you mean, small one? Don’t you want to give your gift to him?”, asked Thor. He was highly confused as to why the child didn’t want to meet Loki.
“I-I’d love to, b-but-...I’m scared that h-he won’t like it. A-And that he w-won’t like me”, Y/n said sadly. “I-..”, started Y/n. She stopped before she could say anything else. Y/n was afraid that she would start crying. Thor knelt down in front of Y/n, giving her a look that mentally told her to continue on with what she was going to say.
“I don’t have m-many friends. A-Actually, I don’t have any f-friends at all. Loki is the one person that I look up to and-...I just wanted to let him know how much of an impact he’s had in my life”, said Y/n. She bit her lower lip, forcing herself to not shed a single tear in front of Thor. “But I’m too scared to talk to him. I don’t want to look dumb in front of the Loki. I-I’ll be a stuttering mess. I’m not scared of him, his size is just really intimidating.”
Thor didn’t say a word. All he did do, however, was sigh and hand back the plush toy back to Y/n, who immediately hugged it close to her.
He gently put his hand on her shoulder, causing Y/n to look up at him. “My brother needs to know about this, little one. I’m going to have him sit right here-...”, said Thor as he turned towards the edge of the bed and pointed at the vacant space where Loki would be standing soon. Y/n’s eyes became watery just imagining Loki looking down at her.
“I’ll only be a moment”, said Thor. And with that, he summoned Mjölnir and flew off to fetch Loki. As his feet left the bed, he heard Y/n begging him to stop. Thor did feel bad for getting Y/n all shaken up, but he knew in his heart that Y/n needed to meet Loki and Loki needed to meet Y/n. It was time that the two of them finally made a friend.
Loki sat at his desk with his one arm propped up on its elbow resting on the table as his chin laid in the palm of his hand while the other hand flicked through a few pages of a book. Loki was not interested in the meet and greet anymore. He was going to make sure that he informed Tony that he isn’t going to be a part of the 3rd event next year. Loki couldn’t handle not getting talked to for a third time.
Loki had somehow tuned out the noise that was coming from all around the room and focused on the book in front of him. That was until Thor landed on the page that Loki had just started to read. “Hello Loki!”, said Thor as he waved to his gigantic brother.
Loki rolled his eyes. When he said he wanted someone to talk to him, he was hoping that Thor would be the last to come over here. “What do you want, Thor? Have you come to gloat? To mock? Tell me about all the fans you’ve met in the span of one hour?”, chided Loki.
“As much as I would love to tell you about the fans I’ve met, I’ve come to inform you about something”, said Thor, trying to hide the excitement he was feeling so that Loki didn’t suspect anything.
Thor stood there practically bouncing up and down. He couldn’t wait to see the look on Loki’s face when he told him about Y/n. Loki, however, was getting annoyed at the anticipation that was building up inside him. “Oh by Odin, just spit it out Thor”, he said.
“You have a fan that wants to meet you!”, exclaimed Thor. He was more than happy at the moment, jumping up and down like a thrilled, little puppy on a sugar rush. Loki’s eyes widened when Thor revealed the news. “I do?”, he asked with hope in his voice. Thor nodded vigorously and said, “You do, brother! I am so happy for you! She’s standing right over there on your bed near the pillow closest to us.” Thor pointed over to where Y/n stood clutching onto the plush toy.
Thor couldn’t wait any longer to witness the interaction between Loki and Y/n. He was for sure going to ask Stark to take pictures just so he could remember this moment.
Loki slowly turned his head to where Thor had said the small girl was standing. Almost instantaneously, Loki made eye contact with the small, mortal child.
‘I do have a fan..”, thought Loki to himself.
She was staring at him with wide eyes. That’s when Loki realized something. ‘The poor child is visibly shaking’, thought Loki to himself. He looked back at Thor and asked, “Brother, are you sure that she wants to speak with me? She looks frightened.”
Thor laughed off what Loki had just said. “Loki, believe me. She has been meaning to meet you for awhile now. And she even made you a gift!”, exclaimed Thor.
Loki’s eyebrows raised. He wanted to believe Thor, but his conscience just wouldn’t let him trust the fact that someone came to this event to meet him.
Loki looked back at the tiny girl on his bed. Without taking his eyes off of her, he asked Thor, “What’s the little one’s name?” Thor smiled, loving how Loki was practically speechless. “Her name is Y/n.”
“Y/n-...”, said Loki under his breath. He wanted to hear how the little mortal’s name sounded when he said it, finding the name a perfect fit for the little one.
He went to get up from his desk, but looked back at Thor to see if he should go over to her. Thor smiled at him and said, “Go on, brother. Go meet your fan.” Loki partially smiled, afraid that he would scare the poor girl. But he desired to meet her, so he got up from his seat and made his way over towards her.
Y/n felt as if she was going to have a heart attack. Meeting someone you admired wasn’t easy. I mean, just picture meeting Loki. And now picture him being over 90 feet tall. You would be a nervous wreck as well, right?
She watched as Loki lowered himself down to her eye level, kneeling down so that he could see her properly.
Loki rested his hand next to Y/n and began to inch it closer to her. He desired to just hold her in his palm and see how tiny she was, but he froze when he saw her flinch back. “My apologies. I-..”, Loki stopped dead in his track and sighed, closing his eyes so he could concentrate. He wouldn’t be able to make any progress with the small mortal if a mere movement of his hand scared her, so what would be the point in continuing to try and earn her trust?
Loki retracted his hand back and let it hang at his side, offering a gentle smile. “How about if I head back to my desk and leave you be? I could see that you are too scared to talk, little one”, said Loki as he looked down at Y/n. Normally, Loki would have been laughing his head off by scaring such a small being, basking in their fear, but Loki felt horrible knowing that a small child was afraid of him. “I’m very sorry for frightening you, little Y/n”, said Loki softly.
Y/n watched as Loki began to push himself up off the floor to stand up. Her only chance of speaking with Loki was ending quickly. Y/n had dreamed of meeting him and she made him believe that she was scared of him! Y/n had to let him know how much he had changed her life and most importantly, she had to give him her hand-made gift. “W-Wait!!”, Y/n cried out.
Loki became as stiff as a board. He didn’t think that something so little could have such a loud voice. He stared down at her, waiting for a response.
Y/n’s breathing hitched, but she shook her head. She couldn’t let her nerves get in the way of this anymore. “I-I’m star-struck. N-Not scared”, she said shyly. Loki’s mouth hung open just a tad. He was incredibly happy that Y/n had started talking and found it absolutely adorable how she was stuttering when she spoke.
It took Loki a second to process what Y/n had just said to him. ‘Did she just say she’s star-struck?’, asked Loki to himself. “Star-struck, you say?”, asked Loki as he knelt back down in front of Y/n. Surely she couldn’t be referring to him, right?
Loki’s doubtful thoughts were wiped out of his mind when she nodded her head. “Y-Yes. I um-...I-I wanted to come last year and m-meet you, but-..I was too n-nervous”, said Y/n smiling diffidently.
His eyebrows raised at hearing that she was his fan. ‘Thor was telling the truth’, Loki thought to himself. He leaned forward a bit to get a better look at Y/n and asked in astonishment, “You’re a fan of mine?”
Y/n laughed quietly at how Loki wouldn’t believe the fact that someone was his fan. “Y-Yes, sir. I have been f-for a while n-now.”
“What is your name, child?”, asked Loki. He already knew what her name was thanks to Thor, but remember, Loki was a part of a royal family. Manners meant everything to him.
“M-My name is Y-Y/n, sir”, she said, stuttering through her words. Loki beamed at the tiny mortal and awed our loud. Her nervousness was quite entertaining and very cute. “It is lovely to meet you, little Y/n. I am Loki”, he said, still smiling.
Y/n returned the smiled. “I-It’s lovely to meet you as well, s-sir.” Loki’s eyebrows furrowed. ‘Why does she keep calling me that? She does know she could call me by my name, does she not?’, Loki asked himself.
He decided to tell her, “You do not have to be so formal with me, small one. Just call me Loki. I won’t mind.” Loki gently ruffled her hair with his index finger, laughing at the way she giggled when he did so.
Loki was surprised with what was happening in front of his very eyes. Someone actually was a fan of his. Loki was brought out of his shocked state when he noticed that Y/n was holding something firmly against her chest.
“What have you got there, little one?, he asked. He thought that it must be a stuffed toy that Midguardian children carry around, but Y/n spoke up immediately about the item she held in her grasp.
“Oh! I-..I-I have something f-for you”, said Y/n as she held up the plush toy so Loki could see it.
Loki squinted his eyes, trying to even out his vision so he could see the tiny item that his little fan was holding, but he just couldn’t make out what it was. He wanted to rest his head on the mattress in front of Y/n, but he didn’t want to scare her. “I’m afraid I can’t see it that well from up here, little one. Is-..Is that alright if I pick you up?”, asked Loki, nervous to hold a mortal child. She seemed so incredibly fragile from his perspective.
Y/n’s eyes widened. ‘P-Pick me up?’, she thought to herself. She would be extremely high off the ground if she said yes, but this was her shot to finally show Loki the plush she had worked on for weeks now.
Loki saw the immediate change in her facial expressions. “I will be very gentle with my movements, little one. And you won’t fall or anything like that. I promise”, said Loki softly. He wanted to come off as kind as he possibly could so Y/n could relax.
“O-Okay-..”, she said nervously. Loki rested his hand on the mattress next to Y/n, palm facing up, waiting for her to climb on.
Y/n walked over to Loki’s hand and as much as her mind was screaming at her to not go through with it, she boarded the huge hand and made her way to the center of it. She sat down, waiting to be lifted up high off the bed.
Loki smiles at the small girl and raised her up to his face, staring down at her with his large, green eyes.
Y/n was definitely scared at first, but she calmed herself down. She slowly stood up in the center of Loki’s palm, looking around at how tiny she really was compared to him. She had to tilt her head up just a little bit so she could see the tips of his fingers that loomed behind her.
“Now, what were you trying to show me, my dear?”, asked Loki as he held Y/n in front of his eyes. She was so tiny, not even reaching the height of his thumb.
Y/n held up the plush again so that Loki could see it.
“I-...I made th-this plush toy for you. W-Whenever I had the f-free time to work on it, I did. I-I know it’s sm-small, but I worked r-really hard on it and I wanted to show you my ap-appreciation for everything that you’ve done”, said Y/n. She kept her eyes locked on Loki’s green orbs
Loki admired the small gift that Y/n held. The first thing he noticed were the yellow horns and the fabric armor it wore. Suddenly, a lightbulb went off it Loki’s mind. “Is-..Is that me?”, asked Loki, bewildered.
Y/n hesitatingly nodded her head yes, shuffling her feet around nervously as she waited for Loki’s response.
“May I hold it?”, he asked, holding out two fingers on his opposite hand. Loki hoped that he didn’t ruin such a wonderful gift. He didn’t want to hurt Y/n’s feelings by accidentally ripping the fabric apart with his large fingers.
“Of course y-you can!”, said Y/n as her eyes lit up with excitement. She was more than happy that Loki wanted to see his gift.
Y/n watched as Loki’s other hand approached her. The forefinger and thumb reached out for the plush toy and she happily obliged in handing it over. The two fingers grabbed onto either side of the plush toy and ferried it away from Y/n.
Loki laid the plush toy in the center of his other palm and raised it up to his eyes. He slightly touched it with the pad of his thumb, moving it around to get a better look at it. The whole time he did this, Loki was beaming a wide smile. He looked up from the plush toy and at the small girl who was staring at him with wide, blue eyes. ‘Such an innocent child-..’, thought Loki to himself as he smiled down at her.
“That is very kind of you. This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. Truly. You do not know how much of an honor it is for me to receive such an extraordinary gift. Thank you, little Y/n”, said Loki.
“You-..You like it?”, asked Y/n, astonished that he liked the present she had put so much effort into making sure it looked similar to Loki.
“I don’t like it, I love it! You have an incredible talent, young one. I could never start from scratch with fabric and a few needles to create such a masterpiece”, said Loki as he ruffled Y/n’s hair gently.
Y/n and Loki spent the rest of the event taking to each other. They had moved back over to Loki’s desk for a bit of privacy. The children that were on the bed were all starting to get Loki annoyed. Every time Y/n would go to say something, she was interrupted by noise from the others her age. So, Loki had carried her back to his desk while the plush toy sat safely tucked away in his shirt pocket.
Out of now where, a feminine voice exclaimed Y/n’s name. “Y/n! Sweetie! It’s time to go home!”
Loki’s eyebrows slightly furrowed together, looking for the human that had called out to his tiny friend. He looked down to see a woman looking up towards the hand that held Y/n, who was holding onto Loki’s finger tips as she peered over the edge.
“Hi mom!”, shouted Y/n as she waved at her mother. Loki’s eyes softened at the adorable sight. He looked at Y/n’s mother and, of course, introduced himself.
“Hello ma’am. It is lovely to meet your acquaintance”, said Loki as he bowed his head. Y/n’s mother smiled up at Loki.
“I’m sorry to cut things short here, but Y/n, we have to head home now honey. It’s getting late”, said her mother.
“B-But..”, Y/n’s mother gave her a certain look to know she meant business.
“Okay.” Y/n turn towards Loki with sadness written all over her face. “I-I..I guess I have to go now. I just want to say thank you. I-I’ve dreamed of meeting m-my idol for a long time and this is by far the b-best day of my life.”
“I’m your-...idol?”, asked Loki. His heart had fully melted into a puddle when she nodded her head yes. Loki could see tears glistening in his little friend’s eyes, for she knew that they probably wouldn’t ever see each other once she exits his room. “I’ll m-miss you, L-Loki.” Y/n broke down at this point. She used the backs of her hands to wipe away the tears.
“Oh my little dove, do not cry. It’s okay. I’m sure we’ll see each other again soon”, said Loki.
He held Y/n close to his chest as he tenderly caressed her back. Maybe they would see each other again, but-..what was the probability of that? Loki came to the realization that they most likely would never see each other anymore. He’s constantly here in the tower and is permitted to always stick around his room. “I-…I’ll miss you as well, my little dove.”
“Oh for heavens sake you two!”, exclaimed a voice. Loki’s gaze shot upwards to find that Tony Stark was hovering way above the desk.
“Always with the perfect timing, Stark”, said Loki angrily. He held out the palm that cupped Y/n protectively and allowed Stark to land right next to her.
“Kid listen. The amount of joy that you’ve brought Loki in a span of two hours is unbelievable. He has been the worst debbie downer for the past few weeks, but you put a smile on the big guy’s face in a matter of seconds”, said Tony as he smiled at Y/n.
“Please, get to the point”, said Loki. He poked Tony in the back, causing him to stumble forward. Tony laughed it off.
“She can come visit you whenever she wants. Here, take this, kid-…”, Tony gave Y/n a card with a number on it. “This here is my phone number. Now whenever you want to come up to the tower and see Loki, you just call me up so I can let him know, okay? I’ll even have a limo sent to your house if you’d like”, said Tony.
Y/n couldn’t take her eyes off of the card. She was in complete shock. “Th-Thank you so much!”, she said happily. “No problem, kid. And no more tears, alright? Loki here looked like he was about to start crying himself”, said Tony sarcastically. He glanced up at Loki, smirking away.
Loki was about to retaliate, but kept quiet because he knew Tony was right. He probably would have started crying if Stark hadn’t come over to them. “Alright, I’ll let you say your farewells to each other”, said Tony as he flew over to the bed.
“L-Loki, could I come see you tomorrow? If that’s okay with you o-of course”, asked Y/n nervously. She really hoped that Loki would say yes because she had so much more to tell him about how she became a fan of his.
“Absolutely, sweetheart”, said Loki. He lightly tickled her stomach, causing Y/n to laugh.
After Y/n had left with her mother, Loki looked down at the plush toy in his palm. “This will never leave my side. Ever. I cannot wait to see my little friend again tomorrow”, said Loki.
Loki stayed true to his word as he as he slept later that night. Next to Loki’s sleeping form was the plush toy Y/n had gifted to him. It sat upright against Loki’s green pillow and sometime during the night in his sleep, Loki reached over and grabbed a hold of the plush toy, drawing it near him. He held it close to his chest, subconsciously smiling to himself.

Advent kisses
16/24
Loki x female!reader
Word count: 1 254
Summary: Instead of chocolates, kisses are going to be recieved everyday until Christmas.
Tag list: @gaitwae @lucywrites02 @modestlyabsurd @winterfrostsarmy @spaceyempress @thefridgeismybestie @laramoonworld @birdgirl90 @nickkie1129
A/N: I googled. Clint's kids' names are Lila and Cooper, to avoid confusion (the third one's Nathaniel. I didn't use it, but just in case).
Tumblr media
Loki fullfilled your childhood dream yesterday. You couldn't be happier. What followed after your magical trip was just a cherry on top. Watching everyone trying to make sense of the "flying snake with a rider" news was a pure comedy. It became yours and Loki's inside joke.
"G'morning flying snake."
"Good morning snake rider," he handed you a steaming mug.
"Wow, you learned how to make hot chocolate! With whipped cream and everything!" you happily sipped at the sweet drink. He made it better than you ever did.
"Well, I am a skilled learner," he winked at you with a smile.
You heard voices. Coming from the hall. Both of you turned around.
"It snowed!"
"It snew!"
"No. IT. SNOWED!"
'All respect to Laura and Clint for keeping sanity with those two.' "Hi kids, how about 'snow fell'? Gramatically correct enough?" you chuckled as they hugged you and nodded.
"What's important is that it's new snow and it's beautiful and we can make snowmen and igloos and snow forts..."
"Breakfast first kids," their actual mother called at them.
"Sorry Y/N, they can be little annoying sometimes."
"Don't worry, it's no big deal. They are adorable," you ruffled their hair.
"But they can be quite handful, add this third one into the mix," she gestured at the small boy sucking his own fingers in her arms, "and soon you won't have any time to yourself. Just wait until you and Loki have your own-" you caoughed loudly, Loki choked on his chocolate and started caughing as well.
"What? Did I say somethi-"
"Let them be hun, they are in denial," Clint showed up from behind his wife and kissed his son first, then Laura's cheek.
The liquid in your mug seemed rather interesting to you. Your whole face was burning. 'Why are they ruining everything all the time?' You awkwardly walked out of the kitchen and went sit next to the giant window. Kids were right. Freshly fallen snow is beautiful. How it sparkled on the morning sun.
"EVERYBODY," Steve said loud enough to attract all of you to living room. He had one of Clint's kids on his shoulders. "This little trouble maker just challenged us to snowball fight. Attendance is obligatory."
Not even 40 minutes passed and everybody was ready to fight. You always knew all of them were still playful kids inside. Everyone showed up and wanted to fight. Well except for Loki and the youngest Barton. You tried convincing Loki to go, but he just turned on his heel and locked himself in his room.
"Don't worry about him, you will understand in time," Thor tried to calm you down, as all the adults got selected into two teams, both lead by Clint's kids. You got into a team too. Well after you begged Bruce to let you enjoy at least something when he already banned you from skiing.
Thor, you, Natasha, Tony, and Sam were in the Lila's team. Wanda, Vision, Steve, Bucky, Clint and Bruce were in Cooper's team. Laura and Pepper were cheering along with the little boy licking icicle.
"There's more of them, of course they're gonna win," Lila pouted.
"Where's Rhodey when I need him?" Tony started to make a snow wall for you to hide behind.
"Alright folks, heads together," Natasha ordered. "We all know Bruce has a horrible snowball aim, attack him first. Remember rules: no throwing in the face. Steve is like a rock, just stands still with minimal movement. You may throw at him but his aim is great, watch eachothers' back-"
"Nat, it's snowball fight, not a spy mission, you don't have to take it so seriously," everyone knew Sam will go against his words.
"The first team to be completely covered in snow loses, ready?" Bucky shouted from other side of the battlefield.
"Ready!" all of you team had a ball of snow in your hands.
Laura started it off. "Ready, Set, FIGHT!"
You immediately bolted from behind the wall and threw a ball straight into Steve. He stood as solid as a rock. What he lacked in agility he made up in speed. He quickly tackled Tony down as he tried to throw more snow at him. You got chased by Vision and Clint who had Cooper on his shoulders, throwing ball after ball at you. In the end it was everyone against everyone. Some were lying in snow as others tried to shove some of it under their clothes, others were laughing and keeping their distance, throwing at those who seemed vulnerable. Some who already lost went to build a snowman.
You laughed at Bucky and Tony teaming up against Steve and Sam, who took this way to seriously. A movement in the window caught your eye. You looked up and saw Loki, watching you from his room. You smiled and waved at him. He returned your smile, but it looked kinda sad, almost..... lonely. What if he felt left out?
"Hey girls, if anyone asked, I went inside to make dinner," you told Pepper and Laura as you passed them on your way inside.
"I'm going inside too. My little boy's hungry. Bet our big boys will be hungry too after a while. I'll help you."
"Yeah, me too," Pepper joined you with exhausted and freezing Vision.
And that's how you gained unwanted company to your and Loki's alone time. Thankfully the kitchen was way too small for all of you. Vision and Pepper started cooking, Laura took care of her baby boy and you started walking towards Loki's room. It was unlocked.
Knock, knock. "Loki? Can I come in?"
He opened the door and tower over you. "Who won the fight?"
"Eeeh, no one? It turned into complete chaos. I just wanted to ask you if you were okay. You looked kinda lonely in that window. Why didn't you go outside?"
"Well, it's complicated. Do you want to come inside?" he stepped out of the door frame to let you in.
You got out of your heavy coat and soaked gloves. "How complicated is that? Like you have a cold allergy?"
"No. It's more of an Asgardian thing. Thor adapted quickly, but my relationship to cold is still....I don't know how to describe it. Passive agressive?" when something was difficult for Loki to describe, you knew it was serious. So you let it be, for the better of both of you. You started to rub your freezing hands together. You also noticed how cold your toes got. Amazing how you brush off these details during games.
"Are you cold?" he walked over to you, rubbing your shoulders to warm you up.
"Heh, a little bit. Nothing too seriou-" you felt how he made your wet clothes vanish and made fluffy warm ones appear on you before you even finished your sentence. He walked over to his bed, took the green blanket and wrapped it securely around you.
"There, can't let you fall sick few days before Christmas Eve, can I?" he hugged you close to him. You never felt more safe and warm.
He pulled his head away and kissed the tip of your cold nose. You felt how warmth flooded through your entire body. A warming charm. Again. His forehead touched yours after the kiss. You closed your eyes and just let this gentleness happen.

Loki sighed and made his way through the halls. You heard a door click open and a soft bed underneath you. There was some shuffling in the room but it quickly stopped.
“Hey brother!” Loki called. “Can you come here for a second?”
You felt another presence in the room, “How do I take care of her? I mean, I’ve haven't had much human interaction. Quite frankly really the only interaction I’ve had has been trying to kill humans… and now you want me to take care of one?”
Thor laughed, “Do you remember when mother used to get sick?”
“Yes,” Loki answered with a depressing sigh.
She must’ve passed by now. Probably some sort of trigger to make him want to kill everyone.
“Remember how we brought her soup, made sure she was comfortable, and let her have her space? That’s what you do,” Thor explained.
Personally you wanted to disagree. You really didn't want to get anyone sick, but this place is unfamiliar, and honestly kind of scary. You apparently have these new powers and you’ve never been this weak before. The last thing you wanted to be alone.
“What about when she wakes up?” Loki questioned.
“Tell her that you’re taking care of her. Whether she likes it or not. Whatever she says, do.”
“So I'm a slave but not locked up?”
“Don’t think of it like that, Brother, you know that you’ll enjoy doing it.”
“I have been a slave forever! This is no different!” Loki snapped.
Forever? But he was a child once. What made him feel like a slave when he was a child?
“You’re in denial! Oh this is adorable!” Thor squealed. “Maybe she’ll finally make you realize why you need to choose good and stay with it.”
“I’m not-“
I’m thirsty.
You sat up and groaned, “Mhm! My whole body hurts! Like I’m just getting repeatedly hit by my food addiction!” You grabbed your stomach and laid back down.
“Don’t move!” Loki said and shooed Thor away. “Lay down and relax. I suggest on your back because it's easier to breathe.”
You did as he asked and calmed yourself, you never expected moving to hurt so much, “Did you stab me? You stabbed me didn’t you? Those damn daggers of death!”
“I didn’t stab you,” He sat next to you. “Welcome to our room!”
You looked around, “Our room?”
“No one else had room nor the time to take care of you so you're stuck with me!” He scratched the back of his neck and looked around. “Please keep the room clean as best you can once you can move around and things. Don’t touch my books, they’re precious.”
You laughed, “You're that much of a bookworm huh?”
He nodded shyly, “So… this is a bed. As you may notice, it is the only bed. You may also notice that there is no room in this room for another bed. Another thing you may notice is that there are two of us. So…”
You sighed, “You stay on your side and I’ll stay on mine.”
“Okay,” Loki laid down. “Is there anything you need? Like food or something, I recently found out that mortals need food to survive.”
You shook your head, “No, but an explanation of why I hurt worse than hell would be nice.”
“Oh…” He nervously chuckled, “We decided that it would be best if you had healing powers. You can save more people that way.”
You looked up at the ceiling, realizing you would never go home. You heard his conversations but you never accepted it, “You’re forcing me to be on this stupid team.”
“I’m not,” Loki threw up his hands. “Nick Fury is. Once you can move around and take care of yourself, you’ll meet him. I will be hopefully in Asgard that day, I tried to kill him once- or was it twice? Probably three times now?”
You chuckled at his silliness, “You sure like death.”
“If you think I like death you should meet my sister- Well dont. She's the Goddess of Death. She’ll kill you in seconds.”
“How come you’re not dead?” You asked.
“Because,” He leaned closer. “I’m better than her.”
His breath on your ear gave you a tingling sensation everywhere. You didn't want him to notice how flustered he made you so, you pushed him back on his side. Loki smirked back at you, “Anything else Lady (Y/N)?”
“For god's sake! Don’t call me that! It’s (Y/N). Just that!” You scowled.
“Okay okay, I’ll inform my brother about that.”
“And can we stop at Walmart or something? I need clothes, food, and shit,” You asked.
“You can buy shit?” Loki asked. “Why would you-“
“Loki!” You laughed. “It’s a metaphor!”
“Oh!” He sighed. “I thought you were crazy!”
That damn accent.
“But I am not allowing you to go out until you feel fine. So write a list and I’ll give Tony it. Make it small. Like three sets of clothes and a bit of food. Once you’re better I’ll take us on a proper shopping trip and me not having money- I made more money off of killing people then I did saving a city of gold- but Tony will give us his credit card. He’s really rich as you may see and all of the people living below us are paying to live here. We could spend over-“
“Us? We? What are you on about?” You asked.
“I must get off of this Tower! I have been stuck here for over a year listening to those imbeciles! And before that I was trapped in a cell every damn day until Thor ‘needed’ me. Anytime off of this hell is heaven.” He explained.
“You’re using me so that you can escape!”

MCU AUs and Headcanons!
Part 2
This is the next batch! Posting both today! But might be more spread out later. Disclaimer: These are not meant to be canon compliant and are a combination of comics, movies, and myths! Mostly Thor movie related, but I’m sure other movie headcanons will come up eventually.
Odin has another two sons. Twins. Baldur and Hodur. Older than Hela and his first heirs. When Hodur is blinded in battle, Odin mourns him. Baldur distraught at his Father's reaction, and war weary reasons for peace in the nine realms. Odin banishes both his sons and raises his daughter to be more ruthless than his previous heirs. With her, Odin finally creates his throne on the bodies of the fallen.
Hela finds Fenris Wolf when she's young and learns to love it more than her mother, her father, the Aesir, everyone. She learns early on that people only fear her, for not only being a woman of great strength and power, but for having the same viciousness as Odin and none of the supposed wisdom and mercy. But she knows that the only difference between her and Odin is that one of them is lying.
Once upon a time, the nine realms used to host a larger number of magical users. Odin had many killed early on to keep the powers within his reach. He stole Jotunheimr's Casket of Ancient Winters, for that same reason, slowly destroying an entire race of magical users and labeling it as mercy. Odin has done the same to each and every one of the remaining nine realms, though not all stolen relics were as dire as Jotunheimr's.
The Casket of Winters doesn't follow a strict rule. Anyone on Jotunheimr can technically use it's powers, it's just most are not as powerful as the royal family was. However, they did rely on a strict code of usage. Only allowing heirs to use it to keep the myths of its powers.
One day when Asgard's defenses malfunction, Odin orders his council to find him a Builder to fix them. They find him an older man and his son Svaðilfari to repair Asgard's broken system. To Odin's surprise, their work is far superior than the original and he requests they stay in Asgard. While the old man does not seem particularly interested in the idea, Svaðilfari is interested. All does not go so well when Asgard discovers the builder is actually a frost giant. The man is killed before he can say anything in his own defense and Svaðilfari escapes.
Loki had a small crush on Svaðilfari when he was younger, Svaðilfari felt the same but nothing came of it. When Svaðilfari 's father is discovered to be a frost giant, presumably Svaðilfari being one as well, Loki buries his feelings deep down inside and never looks at them again. Loki is horrified for a long time not understanding how he could have fallen for a monster. When he discovers his heritage he supposes it makes sense.
Loki finds much of Midgard simpleminded. Criminals or Heroes or Civilians. They all don't know better and are adorably none threatening. Loki doesn't see most as worth his time, barring some exceptions: his former lover, his obviously superior descendants, Verity Willis, and maybe one or two avengers if he's feeling generous.
Loki owns several properties across the nine realms. It's just what he does. Though he's frustrated to find out some of his properties on Midgard have disappeared simply because time changes too much there. It's quite aggravating.
Loki likes to take literature from each realm. Loki is quite familiar with Human history.
Loki would never say this out loud but he likes how chaotic Midgard is and finds it soothing place to run away to when he wants to disappear.

I'll probably never write this so here:
Baldr Odinson is the baby of the bunch. He adores Thor and Loki, always following them everywhere and defending Loki from Sif’s bullying.
One day he gets sick, deathly sick, with a highly contagious illness which means he has to be quarantined alone. He will either die, or survive. Odin orders that no one enter the room where he is; Frigga and Thor obey, but once a day an illusionary raven swoops through the room, keeping him company. He never tells a soul, but afterwards he and Loki are inseparable.
Loki teaches him magic, and Thor teaches him to fight. He loves to explore, and he is constantly wandering through the back alleys and outskirts of Asgard, looking for interesting things. While playing in the Vault, Baldr accidently falls into the catacombs beneath them and stumbles across Fenrir and the frozen berserker army. He tells Odin, fearful that Asgard will soon be attacked. Odin gives him a small cup of wine to calm him down; the wine contains a drop of water from the Lethe, which causes Baldr to forget what he found.
This gap in his memory is the start of a niggling doubt in Baldr’s mind that everything is not quite perfect on Asgard.
Baldr is fascinated by Midgard, visiting the planet regularly whenever he can. When WW2 breaks out, he begs Odin for permission to join the fight. Odin allows it, thinking that this is just a momentary diversion, a whim, rather than anything particularly serious.
Baldr signs up with the 107th Infantry Regiment where he meets Bucky Barnes. They fall for each other- hard- and the relationship becomes so serious that Baldr gifts Bucky an arm ring as a secret engagement ring.
Then Bucky falls from the train.
Baldr is heartbroken. He returns to Asgard a shattered mess, but refuses to explain to either Thor or Loki exactly what happened because it’s too painful. Eventually he learns to smile again but he loses a part of his shine.
After Thor gets banished to Earth, he sides with Loki against the Warriors Three and Sif although he discloses to Loki that he feels misgivings about wiping out the Frost Giants. Loki knocks him out so he doesn’t have to help him stop Thor returning to Asgard; Baldr makes it to the Rainbow Bridge too late to save Loki.
Not convinced Loki is dead, and suspicious that Odin may have deliberately pushed Loki off the bridge, Baldr searches for him. Loki invades Earth; Baldr hurries to Midgard and reunites with Steve Rogers.
He helps the Avengers take down Loki, then escorts him back to Asgard. He is shocked and appalled when Loki explains what happened to him, and tries to explain to Odin what Loki went through, but Odin refuses to listen. He stands by his brother and demands that Odin spare his life, eventually wearing Odin down enough that he agrees.
Loki is imprisoned. Baldr visits him regularly, against Odin’s orders, and the pair hatch a plan to escape. They pull off the prison break, and flee to Midgard, where they disguise themselves with magic and try to lay low.
Baldr picks up hacking as a hobby, using it to get Loki and himself anything they need. One day he stumbles across the surveillance tape.
And the Soldier’s files.
Baldr shuts the laptop, gets up, brews some coffee, and begins work on a plan.
Steve Rogers gets woken up in the middle of the night by a phone call from Nat summoning him to SHIELD. He gets there; several SHIELD agents were found dead, each one thousands of miles from each other in different countries.
Over the next few months, hundreds of SHIELD agents and dozens of random citizens from multiple countries are found dead. Eventually the Avengers, and Fury, discover that each individual was a sleeper Hydra agent, and that Hydra has infiltrated SHIELD enmasse.
Thor happens to drop by, looking for his brothers. He points out that only a magic user could get to so many places so quickly, and with his help they catch Baldr.
Steve asks to be allowed to speak to him. Baldr reveals that he has been behind the Hydra killing spree. He tells a stunned Steve he wanted vengeance for Bucky who is still alive, and he has been slowly gaining his trust and helping him regain his memories for the last year.
Baldr is released on the condition that he reports in every two weeks. He keeps Loki in check, and helps Bucky recover.
When Bucky is ready to, the trio go back to SHIELD to clear his name.

Asgardians
Au where Thor and Loki still have their brotherly fights and Loki pranks the heck ot of Thor...
One day after Loki's prank goes wrong and Thor is blamed for ruining an important ceremonial meeting with the Frost Giants, Odin gets tired of the prince's childish behaviour and casts them both out on Midgard, but in different parts of the world.
Thor falls in the middle of nowhere, where he meets Jane, and her team, afther the shock, the realization hits him, he ends up helping her in her study. Dr. Selvig finally agrees to take him in the small team. Thor ends up getting a job in the constructions, since he is strong, and doesn't fear hights.
Loki ends up in Europe. He at first tries to lay low, gets zero presence detected. Tries to get back to Asgard several times with the darkes lowest magic tricks he knows. Fails every time. Several months later, he quits it. And moves to yet another country to finally settle. He picks a rather middle sized city, tired of the overcrowded castle. Ends up having an aristocrat-ish life by... Multiplying money, so he doesn't have to work. One day he meets you! An ordinary simple girl, a bookworm. He meets you in the city's buggest bookshop, looking for a copy of Norce Mythology by Neil Gaiman. He is suddenly mesmorized by the magical world in your soul. An year, a little later you move in with him.
Five years after casting his sons out of Asgard, Odin is old, and it's time for him to crown a new king. He brings Thor back. It was just an hour before his shift. Odin explains that harsh life on Midgard, would prepare Thor to be a good king. On the contrary tho... Life on Midgard makes Thor realize he won't be a good king at all. Thor refuses, explaining himself, Odin refuses to listen as usual, after a rather short argument from the quite tempered and irrational son, he gives up and asks Heimdall to bring him back, his coworkers depending on him, after Asgard's current king casted him out as unworthy, refusung to accept an apoligy, he found himself new people to look after.
Heartbroken Odin did what he had no choice... He brings Loki back. Loki is rather interested in the conversation with his old father. They sit in the garden, have tea, Loki explaines the new things he learned on Midgard to his adoptive father. Odin's heavy heart rejoices. He finally had a chance to leave Asgard in good hands. Then Loki intruptes, says he knew Odin already spoke to Thor, and Thor said no, otherwise Odin would never ask him to be the king. Loki gets up, fixes his coat, laughs in Odin's face, says that back at the day he wanted nothing more than the trone, he was ready to be a good king... But now, after all this time trying to be his brother's equal and wanting to earn his father's approval, he realizes it won't happen, so he let it go. Loki says he still wants to be at his home - Asgard, still wants to be the good king all need, but after a devilish smile he declares he wouldn't... Out of spite! Walks out, kissed his mother's cheek and goes back to his apartment.
Several monts went by, and Odin is almost forced to leave. But no one is to get the throne... A realm war is upon Asgard. Then Frigga goes to Midgard. As she often does.
You welcome her in, your dog adores her as always. You share tea, talk about everything and nothing. Loki cooks a new dish he read about. Frigga leavs a little bit after midnight. Next day Thor arrives. Loki refuses to see him, but you insist. They argue. Thor confesses he was blinded with pride, he would never be a good king. He begs Loki to return. Asgard needs a good king, one who'll think of the people. One who'll get them to the future, not one who'll take them back to the past. Loki is smart and capable to do so. Loki refuses yet again, saying asgardians are unworty. Yells at Thor to leave.
Thor reurns to Asgard empty handed. Tells Odin, he has to go to Midgard, offer Loki whatever he wants, Thor isn't a suitable king, they all knew Loki should have been the one. Odin goes to Midgard. Speaks with Loki. You just arrived home from a walk with your dog. Loki, entertained by all, confesses he'd agree to be a king, but only if you are his queen. As outragious as it is, a non Asgardian to sit on the throne, one who'll live a blink, compared with their lifetime. But Odin is desperate and agrees... To both of your surprise!
* * *
Several years later
Loki returns to Asgard, bruiced and aching, they had just beaten the life out of Thanos, preventing him from destroying the world. Was a tough fight!
He hears a familiar sound, you singing a song. Old rock one. Loki walks to the throne room. Sees you in one of your gorgeous emerald green with silver needlework patters dresses... Wearing his leather coat and his golden horns helmet... One of the many different designs he has. You are obviously slightly tipsy, the whole world knows that 4 days ago the universe was saved! You are celebrating alone, waiting for you husbad - the King. He slowly sneaks behind you. You jump and startle him.
- Don't you think that after all these years I can't hear you sneaking apon me, Love.
- Darling... My gorgeous Queen. I can't hide a think from you.
And then and there, rather innapripriate for him, he embraces you and kisses you. The Asgardian King and the Midgardian Queen!

Loki & Thor in “Thor & Loki – Double Trouble” n° 3
It seems I forgot to post my thoughts for “Thor & Loki – Double Trouble” 3 so here they are.
We left the brother falling in a hole. Well, the fall seems to be quite long in an “Alice in Wonderland” fashion and, instead than constantly panicking like Loki seems to do in “Thor: Ragnarok” the two apparently had grown quite comfortable with it, Thor perfectly straight, head down with his arms crossed while Loki seems almost seated, arms crossed behind his head and legs also crossed.
Tumblr media
I do wonder which kind of adventures they usually live if they can get comfortable in such a situation.
Anyway, to Loki’s question if Thor has heard something, Thor insists all he could hear is the wind of Loki’s idiocy. Really, it’s worrisome Thor believes Loki is an idiot and yet he insists on playing along with his schemes. As Obi-Wan Kenobi would say ‘Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?’
I get why Loki can call himself the smart brother of the two, at least he’s not following the fool.
Anyway Loki dismisses the fact he has maybe heard a voice to ask Thor if he wants to play a game. Really, this Loki is someone who’s desperate for his brother’s attention… in the most terrible way because his way to get it is by being overall terrible.
Thor, you’re the older, you should try teaching him he can have your attention without getting you two in troubles.
Also I’d like to know how to play ‘Rock, hammer, dagger’, which Loki suggests, offering with an enthusiastic smile to even let Thor play first… since Thor turns the offering down saying he won’t give Loki another chance to stab him.
Tumblr media
Is it a version of ‘Rock, paper, scissor’, only instead than making hand gesture you literally use them to hit your opponent?
Whatever, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, Loki notices it and as he praises himself for being the smarter… neither of the two attempts to place himself in a position that would make their landing better.
Thor falls straight on his face because for some reasons he moves behind the arms he has raised while Loki falls on his back.
Loki would like to know for how long they had been falling but Thor counters the smart question would be where they landed… to which Loki replies it wasn’t a competition for best questions. I love this Loki. I get Thor might feel like strangling him but I can’t help but love him… though if I were in Thor’s place either I find a way to handle him better or I might consider strangling him as well.
Thor thinks they’re in Jotunheim and proves his point by sniffing a rock. I don’t know what Jotunheim rocks smell like, I didn’t even know they were meant to have a distinctive smell. I though they would be ice shaped as rocks or rocks covered in ice. Whatever, every day you can learn something new, in this case that Thor can recognize Jotunheim by the smell of the rocks.
Tumblr media
Loki thinks the orb can bring them back only… to discover he lost it. He’s not happy when Thor points it out. Thor, blaming him for losing the orb and asking him for a solution, tosses the rock away… and it predictably hit someone who was previously concealed from everyone’s sight, who’s clearly big, dangerous, with many friends (which also were concealed from everyone’s sight… really guys, why so many people hidden? And mountain giants, no less! Where you playing ‘hide and seek’?) and not happy to receive a rock on his head.
Meanwhile Loki and Thor argue. Loki claims it was his idea to fall into the tunnel and Thor says he was merely being foolish and using something he didn’t understand to clean up the mess he made and is again avoiding responsibilities and getting him in troubles. Really Thor, if you thought so, WHY DID YOU ENABLE HIM TO DO SO INSTEAD OF STOPPING HIM?
I’ve a younger brother who used to be troublesome, I didn’t use to tell him ‘yeah, go for it’ when he came up with a dumb idea and follow after him with my fingers crossed in hope it didn’t get us killed! You aren’t even tagging along because you want to babysit him, you just let yourself be completely roped by his crazy schemes and then complain if they go predictably wrong…
Also Loki, sweetheart, really, no need to lie when it’s obvious it’s a lie. As the smartest brother don’t do it, unless you enjoy arguing with Thor, which I fear is exactly the point of all this mess. You really have to learn you can get attention from him with better methods, you know?
Anyway while Thor is complaining, completely focused on his own complain Loki notices the giants approaching and tries to warn Thor.
Should I point out I love how Gurihiru, in those four panels manages to give them different expressions and poses while keeping them in the same spot in the image merely having them do a discussion?
Tumblr media
But back to the story Thor finally notices they’re surrendered… so he accepts Loki’s suggestions they should just run away.
I love their faces as they realize so!
Tumblr media
Though really, this time they don’t attempt to pass for brave.
Loki asks Thor which is the plan, Thor demands to know why he’s in charge of the plan and Loki points out Thor doesn’t like his own plan to which Thor agrees because he claims since Loki is the God of mischief he doesn’t have plans but fiendish plots… while Thor’s plan turns out to just hit people in the teeth with his hammer.
Tumblr media
Great plan, Thor… -_- but really, for once Loki is deferring to you and he’s right, you don’t like his plans so why are you complaining he put you in charge of making plans?
As they talk a hammer goes past them and then SHE appears.
The goddness of Thunder. AKA Thor.
Which I’ll call ‘Lady Thor’ from now on, to make things simpler to follow.
What follows are again 4 wonderful panels of the siblings being confused (I love Thor’s expression and Loki tilting his head) before Loki satisfied point out this means they aren’t in Jotunheim and they found another Thor and not another Loki because Lokis are very rare and special...
Tumblr media
...and Loki, love, I adore you but, first of all, I think it’s hard to manage with just one of you and second, you’re basically inviting disaster because I just know this means a Loki will show up as well.
But I love you anyway.
Female Thor doesn’t waste her time and starts beating the rock giants, pointing out Thor and Loki could make themselves useful as well.
Thor reminds himself he has a hammer as well and could help. Loki says he was just giving her space and be chivalrous. It’s kind of fun how Loki doesn’t seem to want to fight but when they started fighting he can hold his ground pretty well.
Tumblr media
Once they’re done, Loki and Thor introduce themselves to Lady Thor. Loki is polite about it, bowing to her while Thor does so in his own boisterous manner (I love how each of them has his own panel with Lady Thor looking at each of them as they introduce)…
Tumblr media
...which pushes Lady Thor to decide there’s not enough space in that universe for two Thors so the two attempts to fight things out before Loki realizes he has the wonderful chance to put not one but TWO Thors at work into one of his crazy competitions to see who’ll be Thor (Christmas has come early for Loki, indeed)…
Tumblr media
...and like any true loving brother informs Lady Thor he’s rooting for her, which annoys his own brother.
They still decide to go for a competition that’s not the ‘there can be only one’ Highlander style of competition.
Thor suggests hammer toss, rejected because simple, Lady Loki best lighting strike rejected because subjective so Thor tries again with something involving strength, arm wrestle. Lady Thor, who must be more clever than him pretends to thinks it over, clearly figuring out he suggests competitions based on strength thinking her weak…
Tumblr media
...but in the next page we see her effortlessly winning the arm competition.
Thor, who can’t even accept to lose against himself complains arm wrestle is a sport of mortals.
Tumblr media
Lady Thor retorts it’s a good thing HE suggested it. Learn take responsibilities for your failures, Thor and be a positive example for Loki. You’re the big brother after all.
Loki points out they can’t go home without solving the small issue of a missing orb, which is their only mean to go back home.
As Lady Thor considers where it could have ended we see that the orb was retrieved by Lady Loki… who’s planning to have lot of fun with it.
Tumblr media
Now there’s a long and complicate story with the identity of Lady Thor and Lady Loki in the Marvel universe… but, I wonder if here the case is merely that both Thor and Loki are gender swapped in that universe (if so could be said in regard to Loki…).
So, is Lady Thor Jane, or she’s the female version of Thor and Lady Loki is her sister? Was it her voice what Loki hear while they were falling or someone else is involved? Or there was just no voice?
We’ll discover in the next episode!
Anyway I continue to love this crazy comic. The characters are very expressive and the situations are funny, although a bit predictable. But whatever, Thor and Loki are love and I love this story.

chapter 25 FINALLY yeesh...
Title: Winter's Frost Chapter: 25/? Fandom: MCU Rating: R to be on the safe side Pairing: Loki/Bucky Summary: Loki never told anyone the real reason he became so obsessed with Midgard. Much better to let them think he wanted to hurt his brother than draw their attention to the one thing in the universe that makes the God of Mischief truly vulnerable. Notes: I kinda really hate that they gender-swapped Laufey in the MCU, so now I have to do the same with Farbauti. The main reason I have a problem with this is Loki's name – it was one of the very distinctive things about him. In a rigidly patriarchal society, Loki's surname is matrilineal. I don't know if Marvel misunderstood or changed it on purpose, but they basically erased a detail that makes Loki a feminist icon. Also, I'm drawing from actual Norse mythology again, a little.
"Whoa."
"Welcome home, Your Highness."
Hiding a smile at his lover's childlike wonder, Loki nodded cordially to Heimdall. "How have things been here?"
The Guardian of the Bifrost chuckled, watching Bucky wander slowly about the room. "Tense, as I'm sure you can imagine. Your wife and mother ask after you daily."
"And what do you tell them?"
"The bridge is rainbow!" Bucky was leaning against the far wall now, peeking out at the world beyond the open door. "It's actually rainbow! And super shiny... Is it as slick as it looks? That doesn't seem safe."
"He's adorable," Heimdall murmured, making Loki cough to mask his laughter. Clearing his throat, he returned to the topic at hand and told the Prince, "I tell them that you're well, and that your brother is aiding you in clearing your name so that you may return home."
Loki snorted. "Oh, is that what Thor is doing? When I left, he was playing cards with Stark, Banner, and Miss Potts."
"If it makes you feel any better, he's losing."
"It does, actually," he admitted with a grin. "A bit."
"This is Jotunheim?" Eyes hilariously wide and never settling on one thing for more than a second, Bucky approached them. "It's not as cold as I expected."
Loki chuckled and held his arm out, pleased when his beloved immediately cuddled up to his side. "No, darling. This is Asgard."
"Asgard?! I thought-"
"We can't linger," he explained, somewhat surprised by the melancholy ache in his heart at the thought. "Heimdall has been kind enough to agree to open the Bifrost to us; I didn't want to risk harming you by teleporting between worlds after how you reacted to being transported between continents on your own world."
"I appreciate that." Bucky glanced around again, the awe and curiosity in his big blue eyes reminding Loki vividly of their daughter. Eira truly did take after her father. "That's a lot of gold. Is that actual gold, or just paint?"
The Aesir and Jotun both opted not to answer him. While Loki fought not to laugh, Heimdall reached for the Bifrost sword and told him, "Be careful, Your Highness. This isn't a fight you can win with deception."
He sighed. "Wait a moment." While the Guardian smiled and dropped his hands, Loki stepped away from Bucky and turned to face him. "I'd better show you now so you aren't shocked when we arrive."
"Show me what, Doll?" The words were barely out of his mouth before it dropped open as he watched Loki's disguise fade away. Loki tensed, seeing the look of stunned disbelief on his lover's handsome face, but Bucky quickly came back to himself and laid his fears of rejection to rest. "How in the Hell did you just get more beautiful? Are those tattoos? Or... No, they're markings. Were you born with those? They're gorgeous!"
"Y-yes." He cleared his throat, glancing helplessly at Heimdall's fond, patient smile before returning his attention to his beloved. Immediate, enthusiastic acceptance was... not exactly the response he'd been expecting. "Yes, I suppose I was born with them."
Grinning, Bucky closed the gap between them and tugged Loki into his arms. "You look good. Ready to get this over with?"
With a soft, amazed chuckle, Loki hugged his love and kissed his scruffy cheek. "You are a wonder. And yes, let's get on with it. Heimdall?"
"Be well, my Prince." As he twisted the blade and opened the bridge again, Heimdall assured him with a smile, "I'll assure your wife that she's in your thoughts, and that she will see you again soon."
"It's nice that someone there is on your side-fuck it's cold!" Bucky cringed, rubbing his hands together as his lover snorted and conjured him some warmer gloves and another jacket. "After this, we take Eira to the Caribbean, yes?"
Laughing outright at that, Loki conjured him a hat, as well. "We'll see. Are you going to be alright?"
"I'll live." He held up his left hand, looking a bit perplexed. "You know this one doesn't feel anything, right?"
The Trickster shrugged, already turning and heading away from the Bifrost site. "Take the glove off, if you wish. Honestly, I'd forgotten it was metal."
"How? I could use it as a disco ball!"
"Well, if it isn't the little Princess."
Loki stopped, shifted to female form, and smirked. "Well, some of the time." Standing straight and doing her best to ignore the unnerving height difference, she stared the guard down. "I'm here for an audience with your Queen."
"Why do I doubt that she's expecting you?"
He was staring openly at her, taking in the fur-lined Asgardian armor, the diminutive stature, the blue skin marked with swirling designs... She allowed it; after all, she'd dropped the illusion that she was Aesir on purpose, to get their attention. Small or not, under Odin's magic and then her own, she was Jotun. She belonged in this frozen wasteland about as much as she belonged in Asgard.
For the moment, she chose to ignore what a low bar that was.
"I am Loki," she reminded him as she switched back to male form. He was perfectly comfortable either way, but as a man he was a little bit taller; still tiny for a Frost Giant, but he'd take what he could get. "Son of Laufey and rightful King of Jotunheim."
The guard smirked. "King Helblindi will be quite surprised to hear that."
Loki stalled out for a moment, stunned. He'd forgotten that he actually had biological brothers, not just a very annoying adoptive one. No wonder he'd been cast aside; his father had other sons to replace the worthless runt.
He felt a gentle hand on his shoulder and turned. Bucky's wide blue eyes were locked on the guard, who the flustered Prince had just belatedly recognized as his other brother, Býleistr. Visibly steeling himself for a confrontation, Bucky sucked in a deep breath and addressed their amused audience.
"Prince Loki is used to having to boast and take an offensive position to be heard. I'm sure you're familiar with Odin and his unending pomposity?" Grinning when Býleistr chuckled, he continued sweetly, "Obviously, your people are much more refined; couldn't you look past his boorish Asgardian upbringing and see that he only wants to talk to his family?"
Laughing red eyes drifted from Bucky to Loki, and Býleistr nodded. "I like this one, little brother. Very diplomatic, for a Midgardian. Come. I'm sure Mother would like to see you."
As he turned and walked away, Loki paused to gape at his lover. Bucky was lightly bouncing on his toes, though Loki wasn't sure if it was from pride or cold. Just in case, he conjured him a warmer coat and a scarf. "You truly are a wonder, James!"
"Hey, I listen when you talk!" he teased, prodding him lightly until they were both moving, hurrying after Býleistr. "I know what a total asshole Odin is. Seemed a safe bet that the people he's been oppressing for centuries would agree that he sucks."
Loki chuckled, draping an arm over the other man's broad shoulders. "I did tell you that you're brilliant. I love being proven right."

Chapter 20: Epilogue
5 years later
(Violet POV)
A chilly breeze whipped against my face as I looked out over the never-ending forests beyond the castle; the rising sun was sparkling off the snow-covered trees as far as the eye could see. I nuzzled into the fur collar of my cloak, sighing at the softness, shifting my gaze to the valley below the castle. I watched Jotunheim start to stir as the first rays of sunlight washed over the realm, happiness bubbling in my stomach; I sighed, turning to walk across the bridge connected to the throne room. Faint voices drifted towards me, causing me to stop at the doorway; I leaned against the doorframe watching the two guards that stood in front of the throne, talking softly.
“Very well. Update me as often as possible,” Loki huffed.
“Of course, Your Highness,” one guard replied. The guards turned, a surprised look on their faces when they saw me standing in the doorway; they quickly bowed, smiling softly.
“Hello, my Queen,” the second guard greeted.
“Hello, gentlemen,” I smiled, bowing my head. Then, as the guards left the room, I turned my gaze to Loki, sitting on the icy throne across the room. He sat with his legs spread open, leaning to his left, eyes screwed shut as he massaged the bridge of his nose. Loki's onyx hair was windblown, making it a wild mess of curls that was a stark contrast to his powder blue skin. I quietly moved closer, admiring the patterns that matched my own that decorated his face and hands. “You look so stressed, my King.” Loki jumped, his eyes flying open, searching for the voice; as his glowing crimson eyes landed on me, his body language shifted.
“You scared me, darling,” Loki laughed, getting to his feet. “I'm impressed.”
“I learned from the best,” I giggled, wrapping my arms around his waist. Loki's arms rested on my shoulders as he gazed down at me, a soft smile spreading across his face.
“How are you feeling?” Loki probed, his eyes sweeping over my face.
“Loki, stop worrying,” I huffed, lightly smacking his lower back.
“You're insane if you think that's going to happen,” Loki snorted. I laughed and shook my head, leaning into him as much as I could; I relaxed into him, listening to the steady beating of his heart as she carded gentle fingers through my hair. “Thor's going to be so excited.”
“When is he supposed to be here?” I asked, moving back so I could see Loki's face.
“At some point today. He didn't give me an exact time frame,” Loki huffed, rolling his eyes.
“Really? That's so unlike him,” I quipped. Loki's laugh echoed through the empty throne room, making my heart swell at the sound until I felt a sharp pain. “Ow!” I hissed, reaching for my stomach in an attempt to soothe the pain.
“Are you okay, my love?” Loki inquired, his voice slightly higher in concern. I nodded, still rubbing circles below my ribs, letting out a slight pained laugh.
“I think your laugh makes them happy,” I chuckled as the pain receded. “Your child loves to hear your voice.” I looked up at Loki, biting back a gasp when I was met with the soft expression on Loki's face. A look of awe and adoration was etched into his features as he gazed lovingly at my stomach.
“Do you ever wonder how we managed to get here?” Loki whispered, his hand gently resting on my bulging stomach.
“Every day. Sometimes I'm waiting to wake up from a dream,” I mumbled, my voice thick with emotion. Loki looked up, meeting my eyes, love crashing like waves in his scarlet orbs. His free hand cupped the side of my face as he bent down, his breath warm against my lips.
“I love you,” he breathed, our lips brushing as he spoke. It felt like the ground under my feet started to quake while simultaneously everything stood still when our lips met; my soul thrumming happily, sending warmth spreading across my skin.
“I love you too, trickster,” I mumbled against his lips.
“Your Highnesses?” a voice caught our attention.
“Yes?” Loki called, looking over my head.
“An unidentified ship has landed nearby,” the guard answered.
“Thank you,” Loki replied with a nod.
“I think Thor has a sixth sense,” I grunted, shaking my head. Loki's head fell onto my shoulder, a laugh bursting from his lips; Loki's laughter was cut off with a soft surprised sound.
“Well, hello, little one,” he cooed, rubbing my stomach.
“You can talk to them later. We should get to the ship before Thor's travel buddies start a fight, again,” I stated. I stood on my toes, pressing a kiss to Loki's cheek before grabbing his hand and pulling him from the throne room. We quickly found the sizeable orange ship not far from the front of the castle; warriors surrounded the ship, ignoring the irritated shouts from the ramp.
“Don't you know who we are!” a gruff voice shouted. I noticed one of the giant’s heads was bowed as he looked down at the small, furry creature at his feet.
           “Rocket! Enough,” Gamora shouted.
“Stand down!” Loki yelled. The army surrounding the ship slowly dispersed, returning to their morning activities, leaving an opening for us to get closer.
“Took ya long enough,” Rocket grunted, trudging back to the ship.
“Violet!” Gamora shouted, hurrying towards me as Loki approached Rocket. Loki walked towards the ship with Rocket, his head bent as he spoke to the small creature. “Oh!” Gamora's eyes bulged as her eyes landed on my stomach.
“Shhh!” I whispered harshly. “We want to surprise Thor.”
“Congratulations!” she whispered, hugging me close. “When did this happen? We were here not long ago.”
“I started showing shortly after you left,” I giggled, smiling brightly at her.
“Brother!” Loki yelled from the ramp, glancing over his shoulder at me. Gamora and I moved closer as a full-grown Groot walked down the ramp, waving at me with a smile. Draxx and Mantis wandered off the ship, lost in conversation, but waved half-heartedly before wandering into the snow. I waved back to the three of them but rolled my eyes as I heard the familiar argument coming from the ship.
“I'm still the Captain!” Peter shouted angrily. “I decide where we go.” Loki stood next to the ramp, shaking his head; he met my eyes as I stepped up next to him, making sure I saw his dramatic eye roll.
“Of course, Captain,” Thor replied, sarcastically adding emphasis. Peter grumbled as he walked down the ramp, shivering at the sudden chill in the air.
“Loki!” Thor bellowed. Thor hurried down the ramp, pushing past Peter, almost knocking him off the ramp, to yank his brother into a tight hug.
“Hi Thor,” Loki laughed, hugging his brother back.
“Where's-“ Thor stopped short when his eyes landed on me. “You're...”
“Come on, big guy, you can do it,” I joked.
“Yes!” Thor boomed, hurrying towards me. Thor gently wrapped his arm around my torso, hugging me close as he laughed. “Congratulations,” he whispered against my shoulder.
“Careful, don't crush my wife,” Loki laughed. Thor released me from the hug and quickly grabbed Loki again, crushing him into another hug. “Thor,” Loki croaked.
“Oh, sorry,” Thor laughed, releasing his brother. “When did this happened?”
“Let's get back to the castle, and we'll explain,” Loki laughed again, smacking Thor's shoulder. Peter, Gamora, Rocket, Draxx, Mantis, and Groot joined us, smiling and giving us best wishes as well. The walk back to the castle was filled with Thor and Loki laughing and catching up again, Peter and Rocket arguing about nothing while Draxx laughed at them, Groot periodically touching trees, and Mantis and Gamora silently walking alongside me.
“He missed you both,” Gamora suddenly said with a smile. I glanced over my shoulder, my heart swelling as I watched Loki laughing freely at something Thor was saying.
“We missed him too. I think Loki likes having him around more than he lets on,” I hinted with a smile.
“I have a feeling we'll be here a lot more,” Gamora chuckled, glancing at my stomach.
“I really hope so,” I sighed happily. Finally, we arrived at the castle, sending maids off to prepare breakfast, and gathered at the large table in the dining hall. Conversations filled the room as Thor, and the Guardians told us stories about their travels since the last time we saw them; Peter and Thor argued like usual, of course. I rested my hand on the table between Loki and me as Gamora told me about a planet they visited recently when a hand rested on top of mine. I glanced over at Loki, meeting his eyes; my heart swelled again at the bright, happy smile on his face. He gently squeezed my hand before turning back to Thor, nodding along to the story; I turned back to Gamora, smiling.
Maybe good does win in the end.

hiii darling!! saw you were a bit desperate for smth sweet and good so!!💗💗
i’ve sent this prompt to jae before, but i still adore the idea of little peter being in daycare and developing a fever! and daddy tony brings him to daddy stephens practice where he works as a family doctor. and so lil peter gets examined by his own daddy and cries in the cutest and most heart aching way when dada gives him an injection to bring down his fever🥺🌡
but tony comforts him of course!
“dada had to do that so you’ll feel better, baby.”
“i’ll see you later today at home, petey. i’ll bring you something yummy from the store, okay? now, go along with papa and cuddle loads with him till i get back home. that’s doctor dada’s orders.” - raf🐇
here you go! The first part while I crank out the second part. I know you read it already but I wanted to at least post it. Thanks for sending me the ask dear! I really appreciate it! 💓
It starts on Monday in the sandbox during recess. Peter doesn't really hang out in the small park right next to the classroom, prefers the cool temperature of the library where Miss Maria often turns a blind eye to his antics involving a screwdriver and the dismantling of any electronic device he and Ned can get their hands on. MJ, just a year older, is halfway sure the librarian purposely leaves old toys on the lowest shelf, but she isn't a snitch and it's, don't tell anyone though, fun to spend time watching the two boys figure out a way to pry open clocks.
His daddies are overjoyed their boy is like them, enamoured by how things work and how they could improve such things with the minimum of resources. In fact, Tony cried while talking over the phone with his mother, eager to tell Maria how her grandson replaced the wheel of a car the daycare was about to throw out in a few days. Peter, ever vigilant, had run to his daddy, afraid he was hurt or sad. He'd thrust the car into Tony's hand to make him feel better and Stephen's absolutely ridiculous husband sobbed harder while nearly suffocating their child in a hug. Maria sent Tony's old engineering kit from when he was a child and their Kleenex ran out the minute Peter wandered over to poke at it.
Stephen shouldn't tease Tony too much. After all, the doctor spent more time bragging about his little boy's intelligence than he did discussing his patients’ conditions. And maybe, just maybe, he sobbed in the bathroom when Ned came for a sleepover and loudly proclaimed his best friend had comforted another classmate when they fell and hurt their knee. Apparently, Peter had sent Ned to warn Miss Wanda while he calmly explained that all they had to do was elevate the area, clean with soap, wrap a Hello Kitty bandaid on the wound, get ice on it and be attentive to any signs of fever.
The whole thing was exactly, word for word, what Stephen had told Peter when his boy tripped on the sidewalk and roughed up a knee. Tony found him sniffling while cleaning out old anatomy books that suspiciously appeared in Pete's bedroom the next day.
They don't talk about it. But now the whole family has a bet on what the young boy's profession will be.
Yes, his daddies are happy he's shown an interest in their fields of study. Yes, they want him to explore and learn and have fun with different subjects. Thing is, they also know how important it is for a child to go outside and play with others. An intake of vitamin D was very good for a growing boy.
(That's bull, they would have gladly given ten thousand toys to Maria Hill for her to leave around the library so the trio could dismantle them. But then Miss Wanda cornered them in the hall and told them that no, Peter also needs a bit of sun and some interactions with people besides Ned, MJ and Shuri, a girl from another group who also liked the library. They begrudgingly agreed.)
So Monday morning after waffles drenched with too much syrup Stephen chooses to ignore are devoured by two sets of grabby hands, Peter’s daddies gently suggest he spend a few minutes playing outside with the others.
Peter pauses, screwdriver in midair and toy car set down on the table with careful movements. There's a little furrow between his brows, so identical to Stephen's that Tony wants to kiss both his boys for being the cutest people in the world. He refrains from doing so because ‘Peter needs to know when we're being serious, Tony, and that means no kisses during serious conversations’.
“Have,” oh no, their boy is chewing his lip, abort mission, abort, “have I been bad, dadas?”
Tony accidentally rams his elbow into his husband's ribs when pouncing on Peter and Stephen is very close to considering divorce. “No! No, baby, you've been good all month. Promise. Daddy and dada just want you to get a bit of sun, play around with the others for a few minutes and then sneak off into the library.”
“ Tony, that isn't what we agreed, oh Christ. “ This elbow jab was on purpose. Stephen stumbles out his chair, muffles the curse words against the kitchen counter while his horrible partner cradles Pete's face and presses kisses all over the boy desperately trying not to stab his daddy with the screwdriver.
“Don't listen to dada, you can spend five minutes out and then visit Miss Hill.”
“ Who? “ That scrunch is back and Tony loves Peter more than anything in the world. Well. No, he loves kissing Peter more than anything in the world. The boy giggles, reciprocates as much as he can until Tony cheats and tickles soft skin under a cotton sweater.
“Miss Maria, Tony. They call her by her first name instead of the last name. I'm getting some ice. Jesus, do you sharpen that thing?”
------
He can be a good boy. He's a good boy. Five minutes outside. Peter can be outside while Ned’s in the bathroom and MJ heats up her lunch for the day.
(Ned and Pete had the daycare mac and cheese; their bestie preferred homemade pizza.)
It's not that he dislikes the park; it's a cool park! There are slides and hiding spots and swings and trees for shade and the wheel that they're only allowed to be on if the teacher's controlling the speed. But the library is always slightly cold and full of adventure.
Sometimes they read a Star Wars book series laid on the floor in a circle with blankets and pillows Miss Maria brings them. If the trio feels tired, Shuri invites them over to the movie area her friends have set up with Disney films queued up. When their spirits are higher, electronics prepare to be dismantled.
Still. He can be good. And, besides Flash who doesn't really get along with him, all of Peter's classmates are nice and fun. The only problem is where to spend, Loki!
Peter runs to the sandbox, jumps over the bridge to a slightly odd looking Loki that's waving his hands in a general ‘no, don't run at me, slow down’ motion. He's too excited to not tackle the teenager that helps Miss Wanda during recess by entertaining twenty kids with wild tales full of magic and wonder.
Hands that never warm up that much immediately curl around a small body and there's a weakened chuckle buried in Peter's fluffy hair. “Hello, little puppy. Odd seeing you without your two companions. Odd seeing you at all, really, since that cute nose of yours is always buried in a toy or book.”
Pete smashes his face into a soft shirt, loves how safe Loki makes him feel with his hugs and hair ruffling. He likes Thor, too, although he prefers the younger brother a lot more. Which Stephen says is a bit unfair since the only reason Thor can't hang out with him as much as Loki does is because the blonde trains during recess with Sif and the others in the wrestling team.
Loki can change his voice a lot; a gift very few have, Peter's grandma once mentioned, and even fewer people use it well. Miss Wanda tries to take them to all the school plays so they can cheer on the others and break routine, but the first graders are very adamant on which theatre kid they love most. Thor's brother could paint the air and make even the most boring speech exciting to hear. Peter was obsessed, dragged his daddies to every play Loki was in and pleaded for a picture afterward. Not that he had to ask for long; the youngest of three would often take multiple shots with Peter before anyone else could even come close to him.
You could say Pete was Loki's number one fan. Which meant he knew how to distinguish between Loki's voices. After the face smashing ritual, he peeled away to squint at cheeks too pale and eyes too red. Relatively tiny fists curled around black cloth.
“Are you hurt, Loki?”
“Not at all, sweet puppy. I'm just sick. Thor and I went back home on Saturday and we seem to have caught a cold. Which is why it's probably better you don't stand so close, wouldn't want you getting sick. My parents decided we should stay home, but I left one of my books here, the one about Viking stories, remember, last Friday and came to pick it up. “
He remembers the book, a heavy thing with a leather cover and wolves drawn on pale paper every few pages. The story about Thor dressing up and tricking the giants is Peter's favorite. Imagining his Thor wear a bride's veil tends to make him giggle.
“So I can't have a kiss?” He pouts, peers at Loki through dark eyelashes, even wobbles a pink lip when it looks like he won't get what he wants. It works as soon as tears cloud his eyes. Like daddy, like son.
The teen sighs, leans down to plant a single kiss on Peter's forehead when a classmate nearby falls into the pit, sand goes up Loki's nose and the dark haired boy sneezes all over Peter.
-------
It takes an hour for him to start sniffling and complain about cotton in his head. Thirty minutes after that, Ned catches him wiping a runny nose with a sleeve. Said sleeve is completely drenched in less than a class’ duration. Miss Wanda calls Tony in to pick his boy up during a midday meeting he couldn't care less about as soon as the teacher says ‘it looks like a cold and he shows symptoms of a fever’.
He probably breaks ten driving laws in the span of fifteen minutes, but that's insignificant when you're friends with Mayor Rogers and your husband fixes up the arm of one Mr Rogers-Buchanan. Tony crashes into the principal's office, deflates with relief when he sees principal Fury teaching Peter how to unscrew a cabinet infamous for being creaky.
“And now I spray a little oil so it doesn't make the weird noises?”
“ That's right, now we take the can, spray just a tiny bit, like I showed you, that's good. Remember to always have a paper towel nearby in case it drips. Those are some very nice pants you have on and I'd hate to see them stained. “ Peter sticks his tongue out, carefully dabs under the oiled up hinge, motions a fond looking Fury to hand him the screwdriver, and gets to work.
Tony leans against the doorway, shushes his friend and Peter's godmother, Nat, when she comes in with coffee for Fury. They stay there, take it all in and realize Pete's growing up. They also realize they might win the bet.
“Ow! Gosh darn it, pinched my finger while getting the cabinet adjusted.” Fury sucks his finger, is probably running through much darker curse words in his head when Peter gently plucks his finger out and presses it against the cold side of a water bottle Miss Wanda most likely gave him to help the fever.
“Ice helps the inflammation, principal Fury. If it doesn't go down, and I don't think it will cuz this is just cold and doesn't have any ice in it, you should eat a snack and take some medicine. “ Tony swears he's never seen Fury more proud or pleased than in that moment.
“Your daddy tell you that, Peter?’
“ Oh no, sir. Daddy can't really, uh, his mind is too busy thinking about building robot bodies to think about human bodies. Don't tell anyone, but grandma says she saw him put butter on his elbow after he knocked it on the door. “
“Really? How old was he? Maybe he was small and didn't know any better.”
“ That was last week, principal Fury. Dada's the one that taught me all about the human body. Daddy couldn't figure out our medicine cabinet with an instructions manual and a Youtube tutorial. “
Tony clears his throat while Fury’s busy howling against the carpeted floor and Natasha cackles on her way to the infirmary.
“Hey, baby. Daddy's here to take you to dada’s.”

Soulbonds and Fairy Dust (Rewrite)
TITLE: Soulbonds and Fairy Dust (rewrite) CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 7/?
AUTHOR: nekoamamori ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine one of the fae has been helping the Avengers, jumping in to help them on missions and vanishing before Shield can bring her in.  Loki joins the team and convinces her to come talk to the team and consider joining before Shield takes more drastic measures. RATING: M NOTES/WARNINGS:  This is a rewrite of the original work of the same name.  Also on AO3 here
While Loki and Frigga were talking, the team had been asking Sigyn questions, mostly asking about things she’d already told Loki.  However, she’d gotten tired and annoyed after one too many snarky remarks from Stark and even more tired of being talked over.  “Hey! Listen to the fae when you ask her questions!” she snarled at him, beyond annoyed with him and wondering if defenestration was a valid option.
Stark stared at her for a moment before he burst into laughter, nearly falling out of his chair he was laughing so hard. “Whatever you say, Navi,” he teased.
She sighed heavily and glared at him.  “Of course I get nicknamed after the most annoying fairy in history…” Navi from the Zelda game was an annoying fairy.
Loki blinked a couple of times, pulling himself out of his daze.  He looked concerned at her glare.  “What?” He asked dumbly, trying to catch back up on what he’d missed while he’d been talking to his mother.
“Nope, you said the line.  You’re officially Navi!” Stark replied gleefully, grinning at Sigyn and ignoring Loki.  Of course he was stupid excited to have a stupid nickname for her.
She huffed in reply. “Stupid shellhead,” she growled in his direction. Loki chuckled at her name for Stark, a small smile forming on his face and she gave him a conspiratorial smile at his chuckle.
The team told stories for the rest of the meal, giving Sig a break from answering questions.  Though at the end of dinner, before the dessert was brought out to appease the Loki, Nat turned to Sigyn and addressed her again.  “I’m taking you shopping tomorrow,” she told Sigyn firmly, though her voice remained kind.  “You need clothes and Stark’s buying, so no complaints,” she added, leaving no room for arguments in her tone.
Loki raised an eyebrow at that and turned to Sigyn. /Do she wish for me to accompany she? I know you don’t feel very comfortable around many people/
/It’ll be ok/ she reassured him quickly.  She knew she needed Midgardians clothes.  And she knew men on every realm hated shopping, especially for clothes and she didn’t imagine Loki, even her genderfluid Loki, would be any exception. /Nat’s nice enough/
Loki nodded, accepting her decision.  /If you need anything, you only have to call for me. I will be there/ he promised.
Sigyn made a mental not that she was going to have to teach him about making promises in her presence, but that was a lesson for another day. /That’s appreciated/ she replied warmly.  She had a thing about names, but there was also the thing about directly thanking someone.  Fae habits had been ingrained in her from her centuries with them.
The entire group was distracted when Clint brought over the giant chocolate cake he’d made to go with dinner and he gave Loki a tentative smile.  It seemed he may have been blatantly bribing Loki to like him by giving Loki desserts.  It was an effective strategy.  Loki’s eyes lit up in absolute delight.
Sigyn’s eyes lit up too.  “That looks delicious,” she oohed over it.  Nat cut the cake into slices and made sure Loki got the biggest one.  She shared a conspiratorial smile with him and was clearly also not above bribing the god with food to be friends as well.  Apparently it was a strategy everyone on the team used.
“Navi, you up to showing us what you can do?” Stark asked Sigyn once she had all devoured her cake.
She glared at him down the table.  This group somehow was already feeling like a dysfunctional family.  “I'm not Navi,” she grumbled.
Loki glared at Stark too.  “She is not a test subject for you, Stark,”
“Why don’t we let her get settled in before we start assessing her skills for the team?” Cap suggested placatingly.  It seemed he was the peacekeeper of the group.  As well as being team mom.
“How about movie night?” Nat suggested kindly instead.  It was clear the group wanted to get to know Sig, but equally clear that Sigyn had had enough of people and being social by that point.  Loki was too.
“Maybe another night,” she said softly, tired of dealing with so many people bothering her for information. The second the dishes were cleared, she left to head back to her room and solitude.  She changed into pajamas and unpacked her things before she got bored and decided to explore the tower and get to know her new home.  She hoped things were quieter by that point.
Loki was in his room, enjoying his own solitude and privacy and he heard her bedroom door open and close, since he lived across the hall from her. /Where are you off to, little fae?/
She stiffened a little at being spied on, tension running through her as she fought not to draw her blades. /Checking out my new home/ she replied curtly, defensively.  She wasn’t supposed to be a prisoner in the tower. They shouldn’t have sicced Loki on her as a babysitter.
Loki felt the tension in the link. /Don’t fret, I’m not spying on you. I just heard you door open and was curious. Do you wish for company?/ his tone was kind and caring, not spying.
She followed the link to the door across the hall and padded silently on bare feet.  Loki hadn’t told she he was across the hall from her, but someone she wasn’t surprised.  That did explain Stark’s behavior when he told Loki where she’d be living.  She cracked his bedroom door open with only a tap of a knock as warning.  “Only if you want company.  You like your solitude, right?” she asked softly from the doorway.  She’d also been working on unlocking her memories before she went wandering and remembered a bit more about him.
He gave her a bright warm smile.  “I do, but she are the exception to that rule, old friend,”
She gave him a warm smile in return. “I know it’s probably a lot to ask, but is there anything actually worth reading in this place?”  These people all seemed like the active Thor-types who wouldn’t know a good book if they were hit in the head with it.
“I’m actually not sure. I haven’t taken the time to look, since I brought my own reading material,” he paused and summoned a book, offering it to her.  She took the invitation and entered his room properly to take the book from him.  “This is one of my favorites.  I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve read it,” he told her warmly.
She took the book from him and couldn’t help the bright smile that bloomed on her face.  “Hiccup! I haven’t seen a copy of this in-” she trailed off, settling comfortably next to him on his bed and diving straight into the rune-written tale, revisiting characters she hadn’t read about in centuries.  His smile widened at her familiar behavior and he returned to the book he’d been reading himself.
It was hours and hours later when she finally broke her gaze from the book and realized it was the early hours of the morning. “Odin’s beard!  Sorry! I shouldn’t have infringed on you solitude so long.  You should’ve kicked me out hours ago.  I blame the book!” she told him nearly frantically at the impropriety of her actions.  She scrambled off of his bed to go find her own and let him get some sleep.
He chuckled. “Believe me, Sigyn. I very much enjoy you company,” he told her warmly.
She gave him a bright smile in return. “And I yours, Loki.  However, the hour is late and I should find my own bed,”
Loki nodded and stood as well to open the door for her and see her out safely. “Goodnight, little fae,” he told her warmly with a kind smile. she returned the smile, cradling the book to her chest. She weren’t giving the book back until she finished reading it.
“Goodnight, prince,” she replied before she left his room.
*
Nat woke her early to take her shopping and it was a whirlwind of an adventure, but by the time they returned to the tower, they’d become friends and Sig had an entire new wardrobe.  Nat made her change out of her grungy old clothes into something new before they returned.  Nat had caught both of the Asgardian’s interest in the fae and had a feeling they’d appreciate her being dressed in flattering clothes for once.  So she were wearing an adorable purple sweater dress, black leggings, and boots when she reentered the common room just after lunch.
Thor jumped to his feet when she entered the common room and smiled appreciatively at her wearing something flattering instead of baggy second hand clothes. He took her hand to bow over it and kiss her knuckles, the actions of a polite gentlemanly prince and something she’d more expect his brother to do.  Which is when she realized he was teasing Loki by doing it before his brother could.  “You look lovely, Lady Sigyn,” he told her warmly. She saw love in his eyes, but recognized it for the brotherly love that it was.
Loki glared at Thor before unfolding himself from his couch and joining the pair, maneuvering Thor aside gracefully. Thor stepped aside with a smirk, enjoying teasing his brother.
Loki took Sig’s bare hand in his and bowed elegantly over it, placing his cool lips against her knuckles. “Resplendent, lady fae, as always,” he told her in a seductive purr.
The second Loki took her hand in his, the first time their bare skin actually touched, a flare of magic passed between them, etching lines of power in beautiful swirls from the backs of their hands left hands up their arms to their elbows. Purple on his arm and green on hers.
A soulbond etched in power on their skin for all to see.

Hopes of not being alone rose again in the morning to the automated replay of the second disk of shows beginning for the second time his ears strained finally to hear the subtle sigh in a shift to the sound of another triple beep from a scan. One sharp gasp and a relieved sigh had the Prince smirking to you saying, “Vision, morning.”
“Yes, yes it is. One hundred percent restoration of eye sight. Very well done.”
“Thank you,” you groaned back clearly rubbing your face through his floating to Loki’s bed, asking at his nearness, “How is Loki’s?”
The direction of the question towards the Prince alerting him to the three beeps above his face granting Vision to say, “Still recovering nicely. Improvement is constant so far.” Like one would pet a dog he patted Loki’s shoulder saying, “Very well done.” Loki simply laid still to the red man straightening up to the distant smoke alarm urging a clearly faked gasp from him, “My muffins!” Out the open door he flew to soar up through the hall to his own floor to save what could be saved of said muffins.
Softly Loki couldn’t help but chuckle imagining the look on Vision’s face in fleeing and wet his lips moving to sit up hearing you folding your blanket that was laid on the couch. “Would you like a shower?”
“Yes, I seem to have, perspired in my sleep. Quite the active dream.” Brushing the blankets back he slid to the edge of the bed wetting his lips waiting for your nearing him with a hand raised.
“Perhaps I should remove your bandages first, or I will have to climb a sink in there.”
“Ah, perhaps, yes.” A clip on the side of his head was undone and steadily the top bandage was unwound granting no less light in its removal at all worsening his hope he could have been somehow miraculously cured overnight. Second layer was removed along with two swatches over his eyes and he asked, “How are my eyes?”
Under his lids milky pink eyed looked back at you on the face cow patterned between Jotun and Asgardian toned skin at his body’s trouble in holding a steady shield while the white scars of the lingering burn marks were being healed by the shared healing abilities your dna continued trying to remove fully while also repairing his eyes. “A lovely shade of pink like strawberry starburst.” The comment had his mouth drop open and you said easing a strip of his hair back behind his ear, “I am a Doctor Loki, you are entitled doctor patient confidentiality.”
“You are a Doctor, or a scientist? Because the two are very different, there are many Doctors on this team.”
“Strange was a Neurosurgeon while I worked for over a decade as a Pediatric Surgeon, which between brains and babies I do have to be biased in saying my field is more complex than an eight pound grey blob.” The argument made him smirk knowing the pair of you had it out several times arguing over fake doctor shows on tv all the time on how that surgery would actually go often leading to you being at odds.
“Pray do say what you truly feel.”
“No teasing, same as you and Thor, he’s got a hammer and you have your magic and daggers with all the cunning you can muster against that giant puppy dog of a Prince.”
“I am not a puppy?” Rolling your eyes you shook your head while he wondered what you were feeling tapping fingertips across his forehead and upper cheeks, “I can be quite adorable myself.”
“True, I did not mean to offend.”
“None taken, though the comparison to the cuddle friendly creature has been made several times towards my brother.”
“In truth it is because he can be quite aloof and oblivious to things while ultimately friendly and eager to please.”
“Ah, there it is. You say that as if it is a fault, it has served him well.”
“Perhaps, and sent many down a downward spiral when their self image is based on approval of others.”
“You do not seek approval?”
“I am a Doctor, no one expected me to be their best friend, they paid me to save their children. To give them as much time and as full a life as possible once they left my table, or a kind send off when I wasn’t able to. No one certainly liked me then when a baby is lost.”
To the solemn tone of your voice his hand shifted from his knee to the side of your leg wishing he could find your arm, “Oh, forgive me. I had no intention-,”
“No, medicine has its limits, as do my abilities. Generals and Surgeons alike see the ins and out bloody battles skirting death.”
“I take it there was a patient here to drag you in to all this.”
“You could say that. One of those whales you brought here made me break my secrecy and rush out to help people on the streets.”
“Ah,”
“I got another three months in my hospital before the questions drove me out on how much I was relying on my surgical prowess or just hiding behind my ability. Either way the horse learned to tap dance it shouldn’t matter if he’s wearing a bonnet or not.” To himself he chuckled and you said, “The scabs from the burn are mostly gone, as is the swelling and bruising. What color did you want to wear today?”
“Uh, I haven’t worn my maroon shirt in a good while, and the black jeans.” He heard his closet door open, “Gold under trousers and socks should do nicely.”
“Under trousers,” you mouthed to yourself assembling his requested items that were folded in a pile on top of the towel you picked for him and settled into the bathroom that once you started the shower for him the tour of how his clothes were stacked and where his soaps were lined up along with his loofa and towel for when he was done.
Once the door was shut the Prince stripped nudging the discarded clothes aside as you had said to, stepping into his open shower sighing under the hot water beading over his skin both welcome and a near to too hot around his eyelids he kept shut. From soaping up his body a small dab of shampoo was used to ensure none would be left in his hair or risk any getting into his already wounded eyes. To himself he basked in the wafting scent of the soap washing away the faint musk he awoke with due to his sweat inducing dream for what seemed to be a suitable amount of time signaling his fumble to shut the water off and find his way back to his waiting towel.
Pats and slides of the towel across his skin found him dried and naked ruffling the towel through his hair tightening up to its natural curly poof drawing a huff from the blinded Prince in no way capable of straightening it out himself outing him of another secret of his daily routine. A leg at a time his briefs and socks were added with jeans next and shirt after, bending down he found his clothes he counted his way back to the door and located his closet and hamper inside from there then to bed again with comb in hand to try and manage something of his curls.
“Breakfast,” followed a knock on the door that slid back.
Following a huff he said, “Not a word on my hair.”
“Really? Add four feet to yours and you will face my daily dilemma Prince Charming.” Curiously his head tilted and a foot tapping his had his hand up for the walk to his table again. “I’ll wrangle your curls,” you said taking the comb to work with the straightener from the bath to his chair to work strip by strip all the strands to his preferred slicked back style. “There, now you won’t have to face the agonizing shame of displaying those curly locks.”
“That is a stretch,”
“So you would parade your curls for all to see?”
“No, commoners see my hair and they want to touch it. I slick it back and they leave me be.”
“I think that might just be from the horns.” You teased.
“Ha, ha.” He flatly replied lifting another of the breakfast wraps you had made for him.
“Then again some women like the horns.”
“Doubtful,” Your throaty giggle had him lowering his wrap facing his head to you, “The giggle?”
“Not to be crude, but horns would give them something to hold onto.”
“In what sense? For battle that would be a poor place to grip an opponent with horns on their helmet.”
“Wow, now I feel bad bringing it up,”
“Tell me.”
“I have a feeling it would jar a certain view you might have on the world.”
“The suspense is not assisting you in any way. Tell me now, if this is any way to do with how my attire is being mocked by this culture tell me now.”
“Trust me it is not being mocked in that sense.” He gave a pointed huff and you said, “Fine, a partner would take hold of the horns in an amorous sense.”
“Amorous?” he said flatly with brows furrowing.
“Were you to be holding a lover off the ground while having your way with them the horns would give them something to hold onto if they weren’t against a wall.” His mouth fell open and you said, “You asked.”
“You think that?!”
“I don’t have to think it there are countless women writing quite detailed stories on what they would do with you if given the chance, in several different manners of attire from battle armor to, well, a towel or nothing at all.”
“You think that, that is what I am asking.”
“Which part are you asking, if I would assume the helmet could be used to anchor ones self or if I imagine amorous encounters with you?”
“I-, well one could bet a kingdom you wouldn’t think of me in that way.”
“They would definitely lose a kingdom with those odds.”
Even more his brows furrowed in a lean closer to you with his arm on the table between you once his wrap was back on the plate, “What?!” He sharply asked to the thundering race of his heart.
“I may be ace but I do tend to have guest stars in my dreams from time to time. Majority are quite domestic on your part if that helps calm you down.”
“And the rest?”
“I won’t bother you with.”
“They are concerning me, tell me. Every detail, now.”
“Loki you couldn’t possibly think a demand could have me spilling my every fantasy to you. Prince or not no kingdom would give you that power.”
“I am a fantasy for you?” he lowly whispered as it washed over him.
“Smile like yours could make a whole cosmos go dark with shame for a glimpse of it.”
Had he the ability to blush fully he would have been beet red in his turn of focus back to his plate and finding his wrap again while muttering, “A simple yes would have sufficed.”
“If it helps,” you said halting his motion for food and tilting his head to face you again, “You don’t smile very often, or around very many. For most it is just imagination. They don’t get to know you.”
“Ah, then they would change their minds.”
“No, they would realize you don’t live in rooms of satin sheets and tapestries of yourself in golden halls lit by twenty four seven roaring fires in fireplaces bigger than cars with servants to line your path with rose petals and incense burners for dramatic effect.”
“That is oddly specific.”
“That is one of the vaguer stories.”
“Are there any on Thor? These stories?”
“Thor’s usually involve harems, from my own single browse through summaries, while you are for the most part seen as monogamous.”
“I am expected to be King, why would I not be faithful to my partner?”
“Can’t read about any monarchy where there isn’t a Mistress or pretty young maid being toyed with while the Queen has taken a mood against her husband. Even in Norse mythology Odin had lovers.”
“I am not privy to much of those details pertaining Mother’s marriage-,”
“I know the myths aren’t real.”
“Mother would have slaughtered him, as was her right were she to feel the least bit disrespected.”
“Good to know. She sounds pretty spectacular, had to be to put up with your dad.” Again he paused and you said, “Thor said he pushed you off the rainbow bridge into space. Got to be awful, I can’t imagine you were a terrible child, out being cruel or hurting people or spitting out demons deserving of being pushed into the nothingness of space. Now that kid from the Omen, I would punt him into space, or the girl from Poltergeist, or that meowing boy from the Grudge, him no problem.”
“Meowing boy?”
“When your eyes heal we’ll watch it. Demon child.”
“He truly said pushed?”
“That was how he said it to me first time I carried his sappy drunk self to bed when he was mourning you.”
“Thank you, for telling me.”
“I do have to ask, he says you stabbed him often,”
“In jest, yes.”
“Jest, how deep, paper cut, or to the hilt? And did you study anatomy to know where to not kill him or just guess at it?”
“Most of the time no more than an inch or two, they were very small blades, close to scalpels I would guess. Our bodies are sturdier than mortals.”
“Yes, but most children aren’t built like Thor is now, and if he was I have all the more respect for your mother.”
To himself he chuckled and replied, “There is an extra layer of fat in our youths, fat and fluids which over time shift to musculature in our young adulthood.”
“Still not building confidence.”
“We survived, just fine.”
“Alright,” you giggled out, “Eat up so I can wrap your head again.”
“Do you have to?”
“At least another day until the bruises heal. It is very sensitive to light.”
“Ah, one more day.”
“By then by my guess you should have basic grey blobs coming into view, start taking in light sources faintly.”
.
That was the start of it, a second day of being essentially blindfolded through an audio book playing while he lounged to a call taking you away from the tower leaving Peter taking up Loki’s table to not be distracted while working on his latest paper. A break from which leading to the teen’s fumbled try to explain what was happening to the audio of the show he’d missed the day prior through the film with you.
“Whoa! Table, out of nowhere!”
“Table?” Loki asked curious for what was happening in the fight scene just beginning in the otherwise uneventful show.
“I don’t know who threw it, but Hilary is now on top of Nathaniel. It, it looks like she’s shoveling cake down his shirt. I think that’s cake, unless it’s the gravy, but he’s not screaming like he’s been burn-,” Peter cringed and groaned, “Ooh, nasty. Emma just got clothes-lined into the laundry room by Ben, ooh,” again he winced while Loki could hear Sam and Steve from the kitchen on the main tower socializing floor coming to clamber over the back of the couch to join in the show. Both groaning too as Peter cringed again, “Robert just got shoved out a window, that stained glass one Hilby worked so hard on.”
Sam, “Oh she’s going to be so pissed when she gets back from that project in Rio.”
Bucky’s bound over his usual chair was hinted by the sound of the springs rebounding under his weight on the couch Nat was clearly on by her near hiss from whatever she was holding nearly spilling over with hushed Russian curses to follow. Loki rarely spent time with all of the team so casually, yet this train wreck of a show even in his blindness he wouldn’t dare miss out on granted you a break from the full day of caring for him. The warmth alone of the open walls of windows lighting the room with sunlight proving your assumption he required the wrap another day. Clips of this show could be re-watched but for his usually isolated self he did enjoy his silent place in the group reacting to the hour long debacle each week to fill his social time quote a good chunk of the way matched by laundry day and retrieving his purchases.
In all this though he missed you. Among the others your absence was noted by the lack of giggles from the chair no one else claimed except for Bruce, with whom you shared a rivalry on who could reach it first with tongues displayed for the loser or far below mediocre faces cast to one another on the loser’s path to another spot. Your losses however would place you in the bare spot on his right, a tight squeeze but Peter would squish himself up against the arm so Loki could casually scoot over to Sam and Steve practically intertwining to make space with glares through arms being laid out behind or in front of the pair naturally prone to shifting in place.
Wafting of smoke however hours later you returned to the tower helping Bruce with his clothing dilemma, who when his stretchy pants had failed to shrink again had taken two of the new worn seams around the band to ease his arms through like a giant pair of overall shorts. Strange with a wet cat’s attitude hovering with a tarp under him to collect the water he was covered in exited next. Quicksilver raced to change his now halter top of a shirt with pants shorn to chaps as Wanda was in Vision’s arms still laughing about her brother, draped in Vision’s cape after her skirt had been caught and the giant swarm of giant moths had been led away by her sweater she tossed down a stairwell.
There was no logic in the mission at all and to Peter’s confusion you were inside the body of a giant octopus plushie you had cut a hole in the head of when a binding of Hawkeye’s leg had been followed by a flame thrower incident in the carnival you had been sent to inspect requiring an improvisation of clothing. “She’s wearing an octopus...” Peter murmured and Loki’s head turned.
“Who? How does an octopus-?”
Tony strolled in with a woven kilt of stuffed snakes and popped beach balls arguing over his ear piece to the man who had given them the tip off with arms full of his dismantled suit off to his office to repair that not caring about his state of undress. Hawkeye, though drenched seemed altogether unfazed and limped in to stretch out across the sliver of couch between Natasha and Bucky using both their laps as cushions. Stealing snacks to munch on only making Bucky ask, “How did it go?”
Hawkeye chuckled to himself, lifting a finger to each thing said, “Shark tank, giant moths, flamethrower clown heads, enough said.”
Natasha, “I don’t think it is.”
Loki cut Hawkeye off asking, “Was Miss Pear injured?”
Hawkeye, “Oh yeah. Damn near singed her to bits those clowns, but she managed to push Bruce out of the way into the shark tank as Quick slammed through the wall freeing the moths who went crazy and Vision traces the signal for the heads as Hulk just about tore apart the rest of the booby trapped carnival wing we were in.”
“She was burned?! Is she in the hospital?!”
Hawkeye said as Sam waved a hand in front of his eyes reminding him of Loki’s eyes and that he couldn’t see your irritated return. “Oh no, nothing like that! Burns healed right off, though she was sent scrambling for something to wear. Tore the head open on a giant octopus and hopped right in it. We have pictures for later. Don’t you mind her,” he said pausing at Loki’s head turning through the lower half of his face and neck visible turning blue in his body’s try to blush in thinking of your body being revealed bare in an eruption of flames making Sam bite his lip and bury his head into Steve’s shoulder to keep from laughing out loud. “Just needs a good scrub down and something fluffy to put on and she’ll bounce back with a good meal. Ordered food on the way, nice and fattening soul food to brighten her mood again.”
Post subtle clearing of his throat to his face rippling back in patches to his shielded shade he asked, “Was anyone else injured?”
Hawkeye replied, “Just Tony’s pride a bit when a shark tore off the leg of his suit and then his arm got stuck in one of those duck shooting games and he blacked out on the tunnel of love. Went round three times we figured before finding him. But Strange handled the moths and we managed to put out the fire before we left. They wanted to remodel the carnival anyways.”
Loki, “How did Banner manage to calm down again? His last change I recall took him a week.”
Hawkeye, “Ah no, just a few minutes, Pear taught him this meditation trick so he can talk to the big guy.”
Natasha, “Good it’s finally working. He was skeptical at first.”
Sam, “No doubt he tried hiding in India and Asia for years trying out all forms of meditation, not sure what she did different.”
Strange strolled in stating after having changed and left his suit hanging up on his bathroom, “Merely tapped into his frontal lobe telepathically and gave it a good hard kick.”
Sam chuckled as Bucky said, “That your medical opinion?”
Strange, “Ha ha, no, he agreed to be scanned while she worked. I’ve never seen brains light up like that before. Full rage and dark frontal cortex to a Christmas tree moment where he was able to steadily switch back again. Then it was like mood lighting and Bruce said it was like he could hear what Hulk was saying.”
Loki, “So they may converse now, interesting.”
Strange, “More feelings than words, at the moment at least. Though Hulk did take offense to something that Venom said.”
Loki, “Venom?” Wondering who that might be.
Hawkeye, “Oh, um Pear said he was her brother. Researching a big story said he just wanted a scoop and wouldn’t get in the way. Bounded off into the distance like a creepy giant bullfrog.”
Strange, “If they are related I certainly can’t see the resemblance. Unless she’s got a secret three foot tongue hidden from us.”
Peter, “Three foot tongue?”
Hawkeye, “Oh ya, he’s creepy.”
Strange, “Thought you might know him Peter, huge white spider on his chest and back,” Peter shook his head, “Oh well, you don’t need to be his friend, just out there running around naked like that.”
Loki, “Miss Pear’s brother investigated in the nude?”
Hawkeye, “Well, he doesn’t exactly have any junk to need hiding, all smooth down below in the nether regions.”
Steve, “Why were you scoping out his nether regions?”
Hawkeye, “Because his nether regions landed right in front of my scope when I was laid out keeping watch. I didn’t do it on purpose.”
The commercial was used to full advantage and even with the show back on the commentary picked up lasting through the rest of the show. Behind Peter in a weaving path from the kitchen Loki finally made it to his room again with special box of crackers and muffins from Vision added to his collection of food in his closet. Alone on his own floor with you again following the wall to his door he drew in a breath and to the best he could manage traced the path to your door from memory. Tracing the doorway with his hands he confirmed it was yours by the imprint of a squirrel from the frame of your wardrobe Steve had been less than attentive in guiding to its new home causing the side to split and it getting shipped back for a replacement out of his pocket by his own offer. Shakily he drew breath again and raised a hand to knock only to find air in the slide of the door to the side.
“Whoa,” you said shifting your weight to miss his curved knuckle from colliding with your cheek, in a reach up your hand planted on his forearm his hand found as he quickly flashed you a grin.
“Hello, I wished to check on you. I heard you had a rough trip.”
“Not as rough as it could have gone.”
That was when he paused. It dawned on him that he had never seen your suite in this tower. He had noticed the indent in the door on the way to the laundry room you shared and caught no more than a glimpse of the screen used to block off the milky door panel to your bath that Tony was still ‘debating’ which would fit the flow of the floor. One of his latest claming quirks. Starting from light switch covers to doorknobs and now the doors themselves inside the suites with front doors that slid into the walls. Even ignoring the personal taste of the person using them he had chosen and even without practically any guests in your apartment still you angled screens to not be caught through the obscuring glass even just crossing the room.
He wanted to see it all. You had slept in his apartment. Memorized it enough to share how many steps to and from everything had been laid out. Still a mystery he ached to know everything about you he didn’t yet know.
“Everything ok?”
“Yes.” He cleared his throat, “Stark has not bought you a new door yet, has he?”
“Well he bought it, but might as well asked it be hand carved from the horns of the goats Thor has in Norse myths that regenerate each morning after he ate them from supper for the three month wait on them.”
A ghost of a smirk eased across his lips and he said, “You missed quite the episode. Unless you watched it yesterday.”
“Watched it on the flight back, needed to calm down.”
“Yes,” he swallowed again, “I heard of the fire, and your burns.”
“Burns are easy. Though now Stark will be distracted from decorating to come up with a super suit for each of us B team members and replacing Bruce’s stretchy shrink pants.”
The conversation only lasted a few moments more before he turned saying, “I should leave you.” That was deliberate, as was his wide armed walk back to the opposite wall luring his guide from you to lead him back to his couch that to silence his reiterated notion he was a burden a film was agreed to.
.
Tumblr media
Morning came and instead of on his bed across his couch he was draped. By the feel of his palm legs were crossed and laid out to his side, meaning you were seated upright. Breaths slow and deep hinting to a deep sleep showing he could sneak just a bit more. Anxiously he wet his lips and his heart began to race in the cupping of your hip to ease you down more to lay flat. With one hand he did this impossibly heart racing task, blindly moving you to lie under him, his first tiny victory a pausing moment with his hand settled on your bare belly below the shirt bunched up in the move and knotted under your back. Proof of your lingering slumber came in a grumbling shift ending with the legs beside his uncrossing to lay one over his granting him a chance to lift his hips and slide you just a bit closer so he might drape across your chest.
He knew right where he wanted his head right in the curve of your neck so he might ghost his lips across the flesh there for a brief try of a kiss. There where like the other curves and folds of your body the natural scent you gave off lingered the longest now revealed to be exactly why his mouth tended to water in your every entrance to a common space. It was a musk ever so gently turning his chin that now mingled in the sweat come from another humid day in this supposed paradise of a home wrapped in glass, a material Stark had yet to master the workings of insulation and placing all for full display to the neighboring sky scrapers left it either a bit too warm or chilly in the mornings, no in between.
Just one, he promised himself, only he could feel the ridges on his skin protruding to his Jotun side releasing its own cinnamon like musk of its own he knew you could sense as in his few times of crossing paths post training or missions among the women nearby all came closet to floating like cartoon characters to chase his wafting aroma passing by. A hum, one pleased glorious hum had urged him on and breaths began to lighten, the neck under his lips began to shift welcoming more and to the opening of your eyes your head turned to align with his in a blind hover above you. Low and velvety he spoke his request, “I would very much like to kiss you, on the lips.”
Back to him you teased, “Kissing me again won’t hurry things along.”
“This has absolutely nothing to do with that,” he said leaning in, more for your ear making you smirk and reach up to turn his head to guide him lips to yours. Just one. The promise came again, yet somewhere in the mingling of tongues and a grip of his hair bandages shifted and lost focusing on the kiss he ached to press his forehead to yours in pausing breaths leading to a breathy giggle from you at untangling the cloth there revealing his fully blue face and still milky pink eyes taking in just the slightest hint of a head beneath his. Faint shoulders and neck were traceable in this grey mysterious blob of a world he did not care to inspect when you were here and the deliberate act of kissing was at hand. Forehead to forehead a kiss broke granting another breath and a moment for you to adjust the legs subtly wrapping around his.
Down again and lips met freezing fully to the sound of his door sliding open and Wanda’s stunned crack of her voice came with Vision’s hushed arguments muffled behind the door closing again surely in her guiding the scan happy team member surely pouting on his way to make breakfast instead, a task granting you time before that next scan. “I should probably go,” somehow in his open mouthed stammering you had found your feet and him his knees luring him to the edge of the bed as you turned away.
“Please stay,” he pled finding hold of your wrist with the other hand outstretched to meet your waist he felt you step into so he might smooth his hand there sweetly, “Please. Don’t run away. I swear-,”
“Loki, I’m all sweaty. It’s just, my pheromones, all pheromones.”
That had him huff and ease you down to sit on his knee, where through the slits of sunlight he could clearly trace the elegant blob of you inches from his face, “Please stay,” he pled again leaned in to press a sweet kiss just ever so slightly off center to your cheek where he had meant it to go. Guiding your hand up to lay an arm around his shoulders aching to have you embrace him through another fiery kiss just like moments before.
“I have to shower.”
“Shower here,” he offered, “Then you will see it is not pheromones to me.”
A sigh and you rose taking hold of his wrist this time parting his lips, “Come on then. Leaving you sweaty would defeat the purpose.”
A gathering of clothes came with yours summoned from your room with the discarded layers left outside the door. Surely it was his blindness to have you so boldly offer to be bare before him, so that you might have the courage to admire him fully without fear of him possibly finding something disapproving on your bare figure. Only, he never could. Wrinkle, fold, scar or blemish he would never turn you away or make you feel anything less than a Goddess had he the chance to convince you it wasn’t a farce.
Ripples, to the first drop of water there were flashes of light in a pale blue reminding him of the neon caves back on Asgard. Pure darkness with ripples of glittering blue waves of water lapping against the sea cave’s floor and walls reflected upon the smooth black walls and ceiling above. And he could see you, no not in color but he could trace every bead and stream of water cascading and outlining your magnificent shape before him. Separate shower heads were claimed and used with soaps shared and passed between you to fully scrub leaving him blinded to streaks of you in the bubbles hindering full paths of water down your skin that lit up once more when clear.
He didn’t know how long he waited, merely that he wanted one more. “See, no pheromones.” Up behind you he could sense the ache to arch the elegantly curved back into his chest to the press of his lips to your shoulder.
“Loki,” The only word it seemed you could say or needed to urge him on as a kiss to your neck followed with a shift around you to find your lips together again. Against the wall he planted you in the loop of your arms around his neck to balance on your toes. With hands tracing down to your hips and once there to your neck his lips went again, trailing down and down until he hit his knees and the most perfect gasp came to his somehow stunning lift of your thigh to rest on his shoulder.
Chuckles came to the unsteady drop of your body he cushioned with a drape of his arms behind your backside to his apology, “I apologize, my Starlight.” He hummed guiding you onto his lap where in the moment of your steadying he relinquished control allowing you full advantage on top of his lap guiding the pace through a clinging amorous unending kiss muffling the moans, hums and eventual cries of ecstasy.
From the water to bed dried and tucked into his arms. Warmly he held you against his chest knowing you hadn’t gotten much sleep seated up like that. So to a soft film playing he cuddled close ignoring the food left to wait on the table until you stirred to eventual hunger taking him and you to the kitchen to make something more forgiving to ignorance if you were to get distracted again.

Trick or Treating adventures
Tony and Steve take little Peter our for Halloween
Words: 1.7k
A petite Peter awoke from his slumber. His mission: annoy his father.
The small bean wandered around the tower, searching for Tony. He passed by Natasha, Wanda, and Bruce on his way over.
" Hey мой маленький паук, where 'you going?" Peter looked up towards his aunt and his eyes instantly widened. " Uncle Clint?!" Natasha laughed at the small boy's confusion. " No Глупый паук, it's still me, Aunt Tasha." He gave her another confused look. " I'm dressed up as uncle Clint! It's Halloween, Детеныш паука!" Peter made an 'O' face as he looked towards the others.
" Brother Vision and uncle Thor," he stated, pointing at Wanda then Bruce. Wanda lifted the small child and set him on her lap. " We're dressed up as our boyfriends," Peter perked up and many ideas ran through his head of who he wants to be. " I wanna be Daddy!" He jumped up and down in Wanda's lap.
" I wanna surprise Daddy and be Iron Man!" Bruce chuckled at how happy Peter was. " Why don't we see if Pepper and Happy could design you an Iron man costume?" Peter nodded his head enthusiastically before his smile faltered. " Uncle Bruce, where's your hammer?" The scientist laughed yet again then sighed. "I can't lift that hammer, only Thor can."
~~~
Peter ran to his room in excitement.
"Miss Friday, may you call Ned, please? I gotta tell him about my Halloween costume!" The bean jumped up on his bed and lifted the pillows in search of something. "Hey, Pete! What'cha looking for?" Ned's face came up on the hologram, really, really close up. "I'm looking for my Iron man gloves, the ones Pepper made me!" Ned backed away from the camera and watched Peter flip over yet another Black widow plush. "Why would you look under your stuffies?"
Peter huffed in defeat, spreading his body out in a T-pose across the bed. "I keep them there at night for when I watch Daddy's fights," he mumbled a little something about pretending to be him but no one caught on. "Oooohhh…" there was a small silence before Peter took a deep breath, letting it out in a loud scream like groan before his voice cracked. He soon sat up and looked at Ned through the hologram. "I'm all good now." He gave a smile. "What are you going as?"
Ned quickly ran out of the frame view and came back two seconds later holding a brown furry costume. "I'm going as chewy! I already got the impression spot on,"
~~~
"Little Peter, Pepper would like you to meet her in the living room." Peter looked up from his colouring book. "Loki Doki, thank you Miss Friday!" He abandoned his pregnancy test blue Crayola crayon.
He skipped his way through the halls and soon made his way to the living room. "Hiya, Miss Pepper!" He ran up to her and gave her a tiny leg hug of excitement. "Hiya, bean!" She crouched down to his height, "I finished that Iron man costume for tonight," Pep smirked as she felt Peter's arms wrap around her once more. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" The small boy jumped up and down in her grasp.
Pepper pulled out a little Iron man mask to fit the tiny boy's head, along with an Iron man onesie. Peter quickly snatched the costume out of her hand and put it on, with Pep's help of course. After she helped Peter with the suit, he tugged the mask on his face and looked up smiling, even if no one could see. Pepper laughed at his antics. "Someone's excited, you ready for tonight?" Peter took his mask off, leaving his curls ungroomed and nodded his head over and over.
“What’s daddy going as?” Pepper sighed, “Your dad doesn’t like to dress up for Halloween,” Peter frowned. “But everyone else dressed up!” Pepper remembered seeing Thor dressed up as Bruce trying to convince Loki to dress up as something. “Oh yeah, and what did they dress up as?” She stood up and went to sit on the couch. “They went as their boyfriends. Auntie Nat was dressed as uncle Clint, sister Wanda was dressed as brother Vision and uncle Bruce was dressed as uncle Thor!” He exclaimed, trying to get up to Pepper’s lap. Pepper hummed and helped the boy sit in her lap.
“What if daddy went as his husband, papa?”
~
“Hey, Tony, would you be so kind as to take the younger boys out trick or treating?” Steve walked into his husband’s lab, mingling around a bit. “Sure thing,” He sighed, “I can’t believe that Harley doesn’t want to go with us this year…” Steve put a hand on the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist’s back. “Hey, he’s getting older, he just wants to go to a Halloween party with his friends,” Tony looked up. “I didn’t even know he had friends!” There was an awkward silence.
“What are you wearing?”
Steve looked at his outfit. A black tank top with a blue circle in the middle, resembling the Arc reactor in Tony's chest. A pair of red sunglasses resting on his forehead, a fake beard and some light blue jeans.
“I’m you!” Tony sighed again. “You could’ve just asked for the suit, that would’ve been easier,” Tony gave his husband an unimpressed look. “But then I would be Iron man,” He whined. “ don’t get me wrong, I love Iron man. I would just much rather be my Tony Stark!” Tony rolled his eyes,” Why did you dress up as me anyway?” As if his excitement could get worse. “Everyone else is dressed up as their significant other, I wanted to join!” By now it was clear Tony was extremely annoyed at Steve’s antics. “Whatever,”
~
Peter waddled into his father’s lab, one question mingling in his mind: who are you going as?
“Daddy, daddy!” He cheered in his little Iron Man costume. Tony turned around to face his son. “Oh. My. God! You’re dressed as a little me!” He squealed at his son’s adorableness. The question that was on Pete’s mind was soon forgotten because of his father’s excitement.
“Yeah!” He mimicked the hand reupholsters while making sound effects with his mouth, even if he didn’t have the gloves.
“Bud, where’d the Iron Man mittens Pepper gave you go?” Peter flushed in embarrassment, he was hoping Tony wouldn’t find out they were missing. “I might have lost them…”
Tony sighed. “Aw man, guess we’ll have to get you new ones then,  huh?” The frown on the spider's face turned upwards into a giddy smile again.
“I had something to ask you…”
“Oh yeah? And what was that?”
“I forgot…” He pondered for a moment. “Oh! I remember, who are you going as?”
Tony chuckled. “Daddy doesn’t dress up for Halloween, sorry Pal,” He picked up the once again frowning Peter and propped him on his shoulders. “But I’ll be taking you and your friend Ted Trick or Treating tonight!” He tried to hype up the little tike again.
“His name is Ned, daddy!” Peter hugged his father’s head. “Is it? Darn, I could’ve sworn it was Ted,” Peter laughed at what he thought was one of his dad’s jokes, when in reality it wasn’t.
“Common please, daddy… you gotta dress up its Halloween!”
“I betcha no one else in the tower is wearing something, other than your Papa,” Tony tried to spar himself from the embarrassment of dressing up.
“Nope! Auntie Tasha was dressed up as Uncle Clint!” Peter leaned forward so he was blocking Tony’s view with his hair. “Everyone’s dressing up as their Boyfriends.” He said Matter-Of-Factly.
Tony sighed, knowing there was no way he’d get out from dressing up as his boyfriend… Captain America. Not to mention he always thought Cap had the cringiest suit. Ever. Like, why little wings on his helmet? With the giant ‘A’ on the top too? And don’t even get him started on the bright stripes.
“You want me to dress as Papa, don’t you?”
“YEAH!”
~
So here the three were, Son, Papa and Dad. Peter and Steve dressed as Tony and Tony dressed as the one and only first avenger: Captain America. In the old fashion suit.
“This is stupid, lets just get Ted-”
“Ned.”
“Ned and go.”
Steve chuckled. “Common, babe, can’t be that bad…” Tony turned to his loving husband. “Your suit looks like a three-year-olds Treehouse Superhero special.”
“Alright, someones not in the mood for Trick or Treating,” Steve picked up his son, him and Peter both blowing Tony a little raspberry before buckling the smaller Tony in his car seat.
~
Once they got Ned, the four were going door to door. Tony stealing some of Peter’s candy while he wasn’t looking.
It wasn’t till later, when they got to the Thomson’s house, that Tony was visibly tired.
Peter rang the doorbell, Star Wars theme pillowcase in hand. A man in a fancy suit opened the door, a little boy in an Iron Man costume like Peter behind him.
“We don’t give out candy.” The man in the suit said with a cold expression. Steve’s happy-go-lucky stare turned into a glare within seconds, this dude didn’t have to be so disrespectful about it. Peter’s still a child for crying out loud.
Before either of the super parents got to say anything, the other little boy dressed as Iron Man spoke up. “Hey! Puny Parker, is that you?” The boy, now Peter knew named Flash, teased.
This time the Peters parents didn’t even speak, they were just in shock at how ignorant this child was.
“That’s a stupid costume. You don't look anything like Iron Man nor have the gloves to go with it,”
That was where Tony lost it.
“EXCUSE ME? I HAVE YOU KNOW THAT MY SON IS THE FUTURE IRON MAN AND HIS COSTUME IS TEN TIMES BETTER THAN YOUR POOR COSPLAY! DON’T EVEN LOOK AT MY SON EVER AGAIN-”
Tony was getting pulled back by his husband as Peter and Ned watched in awe. Meanwhile, Flash ran back into his house.
~
“Tony, you don’t threaten little children.” Steve took off his fake glasses, scolding the billionaire. “He made fun of our kid, our kid, Steve. Weren’t you upset?” Steve sighed.
“Of course I am, child’s a brat. But that doesn’t mean you can almost kill him,”
“Whatever, we don’t need to go Trick or Treating next year. I’ll just buy Pete candy.”

Trust in Me Ch6
Slightly longer chapter than usual, let me know what you think :)
Darkness. Heat, a burning, blinding fire. Wet stones shaking beneath him. The echoes of footsteps left, right, louder, and louder.
 “Asgardian.” They sneer.
 Left, right, louder, and louder.
 “Jotun.” They mock.
 Left, right, louder, and louder.
 “Forgotten Prince. Left to die.”
 Left, right, louder, closer.
 “No more chances, Laufeyson…”
He tries to yell but his lips cannot move. A cold, scaley hand creeps over his face, covering his eyes. He knows what comes next. No….no, no, no….
“NO!” Loki yells as he bolts upright in his bed.
His chest heaves as he tries to catch his breath. He pulls off his shirt, removing the discomfort of the cold sweat clinging the material to his skin. After a moment or two, he regains control, his breathing regulates, and he takes in his surroundings. The sight of his mundane room at the avenger’s tower, providing him some relief.
He gets up from his bed and walks to the en-suite; he fills up a glass of water and drinks it in one go. As he puts down the glass, he notices his reflection in the mirror, but leaves before he can take a good look at himself. After the incident…after New York, Loki found it hard to look at himself; shame would wash over him, and with it, a wave of nausea.
He walked over to the window, the cool breeze providing some comfort. He stayed there until the sun came up.
Y/N had been walking up and down the corridor that joined hers and Loki’s room for the past fifteen minutes.
‘What if he wants to go back to sleep, we did stay up late talking.’ Or, ‘He didn’t look well at breakfast, maybe I should leave him be.’ Were just two of the thoughts swarming around Y/N’s head as she debated knocking on his door.
‘Just do it.’ This thought was the loudest and strongest of them all, so she listened.
A light tap, one, two, three, and the deed was done. She unconsciously held her breath to await his response, her thumbs twiddling, and breathing quickening.
A moment passed before the door opened, Loki stood before her in a black long-sleeved shirt and jeans. Despite his muscles being obvious under the tight fabric, it looked soft. He had taken to wearing Midgardian clothing; Thor had provided him with some clothes on his arrival to make Loki look more casual and less threatening. Y/N noted that no matter the clothing, a God was still a God, the ability to always look ethereal was just in their nature.
 “Ready?” Loki said.
Y/N let out the breath she’d been holding and nodded with a kind smile.
Unbeknownst to Y/N, Loki had been aware of her pacing back and forth but was determined not to push her. He wanted her to have the option to back out if she wanted to, though he could not deny the small feeling of disappointment he felt in his chest at the thought she might change her mind.
But she didn’t disappoint, and after Loki’s torturous night he was grateful not to be left with his own thoughts.
Loki and Y/N walked through the joint living room on their way to the library; Vision, Wanda and Peter were already there enjoying a peaceful Sunday with pastries and coffee. They appeared to be preparing a feast for the day.
“Good morning Loki, little miss.” Greeted Vision happily, Peter waved to indicate a hello while his mouth was stuffed with croissants.
Loki nodded with the hint of a smile on his lips.
 “Good morning.” Y/N spoke quietly.
“There’s plenty of pastry if you guys want more food.” Wanda offered.
“No thank you, Y/N was about to show me the library.” Loki said.
Everyone paused, Peter mid bite, Wanda mid sip of her coffee, and Vision mid distribution of omelettes, causing one to slip of the spatula in slow motion and unceremoniously splat onto the table.
“You offered to show Loki around?” Vision asked.
Y/N shifted on the spot, “Umm, yes…” She said, barely above a whisper.
The three friends smiled fondly at the situation in front of them, they couldn’t remember the last time Y/N had volunteered to do anything of her own volition. Not that she was lazy or unwilling, she was just so scared, and they found it remarkable that, of all people, it was Loki who had brought out this side of her.
“Have fun.” Wanda said warmly. With that, the pair walked out of the kitchen to the library one floor below.
The journey to the library was a quick one, before they opened the large doors Y/N paused. This was her sanctuary, a place she didn’t have to hide, where she knew no one could harm her. She was taking a big leap of faith in trusting Loki with this space, but part of her felt like he needed it. She wasn’t a greedy person; she could share her little safe haven.
“So, this is your library.” Loki stated, sensing her trepidation.
“I suppose so. Uncle Tony filled this room with my favourite books when I was little and came to visit, so I’ve always secretly thought of it as mine...” She said meekly, her hair shielding her face.
“…But you can come hear anytime you wish…if you want.” Y/N added.
Loki smiled at her, a real smile indicating true appreciation, “Thank you.” He said in earnest.
Y/N’s cheeks were ruby red, so she made herself busy and opened the doors.
Loki wasn’t sure what he had expected, a room with a few bookshelves and a seating area maybe. He certainly didn’t expect wall to ceiling bookshelves in a labyrinth like design, their destination leading to soft leather sofa’s and a large fireplace.
“Your Uncle made this for you?” Loki said is wonderment as he looked at the endless shelves.
Y/N nodded happily, “Yes. It was much smaller when we started this little project. Over the years it just got bigger and bigger.” She chuckled.
He liked the sound of her soft laugh.
She didn’t give away much, but Loki was slowly starting to put together a picture of who this young woman was. The latest piece of the puzzle was ‘beloved niece.’ It was clear Stark doted on his sweet niece; to build her something she truly loved and could build on for years to come showed a great deal of devotion. Loki recognised that kind of devotion as one born from tragedy.
Y/N showed him how everything was organised in genre then alphabetical. Her system impressed him greatly and he pulled out a few books from their slots to bring with them to the seating area.
They read quietly for a couple of hours when Y/N began to feel cold. She moved over to the fire to start it and sat there as the cold in her skin began to thaw.
Loki watched the light from the flames illuminate her soft features. In her state of tranquillity, Loki allowed his words to be unguarded.
“You don’t look much like your uncle.” Loki noted.
Y/N whipped her head around to face him, “Oh, no I don’t, sorry.” She said with a small laugh, as she played with the ends of her hair.
Loki frowned. He didn’t like that laugh, it was different to the light chuckle she gave when pleased; no, this one masked discomfort and he wasn’t happy he had caused it.
“You needn’t apologise, it was merely an observation.” He assured her, shocked by his overwhelming urge to reassure her.
“Sorry… I mean, well… I don’t really take after my mother’s family in appearance.” She clarified, feeling silly for assuming his anger.
“So, your mother was Stark’s sister? I wasn’t aware he had much family.” Loki said. With the man of Iron spending so much time with the avengers, it was hard to think of him with a family. In fact, it was hard to imagine any of these heroes with a family waiting on them.
Y/N smiled sadly, “He doesn’t talk about her much.” She said softly.
Loki looked at her, there was a maturity in her countenance, as though she understood something beyond her years.
Loki hesitated, “May I ask why?”
Y/N wasn’t sure how to go about explaining her mother to Loki. The truth was Tony could talk endlessly about Rafael and recount old memories; but when it came to his sister, he froze. Her death had caught Tony off guard and with the chaos around the situation, he never got a chance to take a moment and grieve. So, he never spoke about her, not even to Y/N, and out of respect for her uncle, Y/N stopped talking about her too.
She wanted to talk about her though, without fear of upset or melancholy.
“My mother died quite suddenly when I was younger, it’s a sensitive subject for my uncle.” Y/N explained.
Loki nodded in understanding, “I’m sorry for your loss.”
“Thank you.” Y/N said with a sad smile.
“What was she like?” Loki asked, catching Y/N off-guard.
He was about to regret his intrusiveness, but then she positively beamed at him with a smile so breath-taking, he found himself smiling in return.
“She was beautiful.” Y/N spoke wistfully. “She was so clever, we used to read together in my father’s study. She seemed to inhale books, she read them so quickly. She wasn’t just book smart though… the way she spoke was eloquent too. We used to have family and friends over for dinner every few months; whenever she walked into the room, she seemed to command it. I would watch everyone as they watched her, its like they were in a trance.”
Y/N spoke with pure adoration, it would appear she had inherited her mother’s ability to capture an audience, Loki couldn’t look away.
“Sometimes she would join my father’s meetings; a room filled with giant men shouting one another down, yet one word from her could silence them all. She was a force of nature.” Y/N smiled, happy to have finally said out loud the thoughts she had kept tucked away.
 “I’m sorry, I got carried away…” Y/N spoke shyly.
“No.” Loki said quickly, surprising both Y/N and himself. “Don’t apologise…thank you for sharing that with me. It must be hard for you…not to talk about her.”
Loki felt suddenly very shy himself, but Y/N gave him that dazzling smile.
“Thank you for listening.” She said.
It was clear Y/N had wanted to speak about her mother to someone for quite some time. Loki admired her sensitivity and came to the conclusion that she may be looking after Tony as much as he looked after her.
A few moments silence passed when Loki decided he ought to be less guarded with her in return. They appeared to be exchanging memories and anecdotes as currency, slowly learning more about each other through these transactions.
“I can understand…why your uncle doesn’t wish to talk about her. I still struggle to discuss my mot-“ he paused, “Frigga.”
Y/N nodded in understanding, “I’m sorry you lost her, that must have been hard for you.” She said
Loki nodded, “It was, but time appears to heal most wounds.”
Y/N offered a sympathetic smile, “It does, I’ve found that the loss never truly goes away but that can be a good thing sometimes. Reminders of what you lost makes you remember what you had; eventually the memories replace the grief.”
She was wise beyond her years and Loki found comfort in her words.
They continued to read long into the day until they both realised they hadn’t had anything to eat or drink in some time. They walked happily to the living area of their apartment, content in one another’s company.
“Perhaps I should read this book series the spider boy raves about.” Loki contemplated holding a copy of the philosopher’s stone in his hand.
Y/N gave that sweet chuckle, “They’re excellent books, and there are movies too.”
“Movies?” Loki asked, looking at Y/N confused.
Their brief laughter was interrupted by Thor who had just walked into the kitchen.
Thor looked perplexed at the scene before him; his brother and Stark’s niece sat at the kitchen island eating left over pastry and discussing books.
 “Brother.” Thor greeted.
Loki turned to his sibling, “Thor.”  He nodded in greeting.
Loki watched as his brother looked over to Y/N, a slight frown on his lips and his posture solid and unmoving.
Loki looked over to Y/N and found she had made herself as small as possible, her head slightly bowed as she rubbed her hands nervously.
“I should be going to bed, umm goodnight.” She said though it was barely audible.
As she scuttled out the room, Thor began to relax. “Good day brother?” Thor enquired patting his brothers back as he got himself a drink out the refrigerator.
“Fine.” Loki said, irritated by Y/N’s absence and the way in which it came about.
Thor was acting as though nothing had happened, which irked the trickster even more.
 “What was that?” Loki demanded.
Thor looked up from the pastry he had snagged, “What was what?”
“That little display of dominance you used to frighten her off.” Loki said, practically through gritted teeth.
Thor sighed, running his hand through his hair, “I know, I know, I just don’t trust them.”
Loki was confused, “Them? Do you mean Y/N?”
“Well yes.” Thor said matter of factly, “Surely you recognise her?”
Loki’s look of puzzlement led Thor believe that his brother was none the wiser.
“She’s a Tatum, Rafael’s daughter. You remember them brother! Father had us watch over them these many years.” Thor explained.
Loki thought back, trying to place a face to the name, when suddenly it dawned on him. “The Tatum Clan? I thought Odin said they had died out.”
“They have.” Thor said, with a mouth full of food. He gestured to the empty spot where Y/N once was, “She’s the last of them.”
It clicked into place now. Her hair, her eyes, he knew he had seen them before. It was hard to believe she was a descendent of such a brutal clan. Loki remembered stories of their raids and pillaging, and from what he could recall the years hadn’t softened them.
How did Stark know them? How could his sister marry one of them? Did Odin know about Y/N? This clarification had only provided Loki with more questions.
It was then that Loki thought about Thor’s reaction to Y/N.
“Is that why you’re cold to her? Because of her family?” Loki asked.
Thor paused his eating, contemplated the question, and sighed, “Its not that I dislike her, I simply don’t know what she is capable of or if she is trustworthy. You remember them brother, they were not kind people.”
 ‘But she is.’ Loki thought
They sat in silence until Thor decided he was going to bed. As Thor was walking out of his brother’s apartment, Loki spoke up.
 “Do you judge me?”
Thor turned to find his brother looking down to the floor, avoiding his gaze. “Judge you?”
“For being Laufey’s son? For being Jotun? For my family history?” Loki asked.
“Brother… never, I do not judge you for your true form…”
Loki stood up and made his way to his own room, “Then perhaps you should show her the same courtesy.” Loki said as he walked away.
Thor watched him leave and wondered what had come over his brother. Whatever it was, it had certainly given Thor a lot to think about.
