art trade with zebrasonice!
so a little while ago zebrasonice and i watched the 1934 Babes in Toyland, and we realized that three of the main characters were veeerrry similar to smack, swat, and mr. beetle.
these characters were so similar i called them their human-sonas XD (the mr. beetle-esque character was the antagonist named barnaby...even the name is similar!) heck, even the plot to babes in toyland reminded us a bit of mr. bug, so we’ve been comparing the two movies a bit XD
anyway that’s the story behind this drawing!
@zebrasonice made the sketch and i colored and lined it

Aaravos refers to himself as one of the first elves and the last of the great ones. Are these two groups different?
*sits down with a nice comfy sigh, kicks my feet up onto my desk like an old-timey detective* See... Here's the thing.
You've been by on three different empty blogs to ask me the same few questions, and at a time like this (comfy, lazy, finally got a full night's sleep) I gotta wonder why that is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the truth is, I don't know why. So let's get back to basics, shall we?
Spamming asks because you don't get an immediate response makes people seem rude, impatient, and pushy. Just be patient. People have lives outside Tumblr - jobs, families, weather, health, pets, and other stresses that they may never mention on their blog. But every blog that answers asks has a real human person behind it. Please keep that in mind when you set your own expectations about getting an ask answered.
Spamming not-quite-anon asks from multiple empty blogs in rapid succession makes people seem shifty and untrustworthy. It's already an empty blog, but the blog will seem to be anticipating getting blocked for shenanigans even before anything seems wrong - which makes something seem wrong. Showing your hand a bit there.
Spamming the same (pushy) question from a new blog when it wasn't answered for the old one makes people seem manipulative and unable to abide by the social contract. We do not keep asking someone the same question in person if we want to keep the conversation civil. Again, this implies intent to misbehave as well as ignoring the social contract.
If you ask a pushy question to get a reaction/rise out of the recipient, and you do not get an answer after a reasonable wait, then the silence is your answer. They're onto you, and they're not engaging with you.
If your go-to method of engaging in fandom involves poking people on purpose and vanishing before they can catch you at it, you may have some maturing to do before you can fully engage in spaces inhabited by grownups. Eight-year-olds get told off for this behavior.
If your behavior indicates that you may need your parents' permission to be online, you should make sure they're teaching you good online habits as well.
Now then. My tea's getting cold. *sips*

im having a bit of a rough night so its coping mechanism time! and because part of my rough night involving having to kill a big ass bug, im now 100% insisting that steves the one to kill bugs in the robin steve and eddie trio (ofc if nancys there they'll ask her to do it but shes not always available)
and not because of some big strong man shit or anything. he hates bugs as much as the next guy and will immediately dart away when he notices hes within "danger range". so no, it isn't because hes somehow gloriously unaffected by their presence, its because when you're alone you're the only one around to kill it, which means if you don't kill it you get the even worse realization that you've lost it.
only after having a compulsory freak-out that he'll find the nearest solid object (and a tissue, the tissue is very important) to squash it with. and since hes pretty resourceful i think he's definitely used The Tissue Box Method™ (where you hold the box in one hand with the bottom out to squish it with and you have a tissue laid out on the back and securely tucked under your fingers so the box isn't Contaminated afterwards) and also if its a really big bug and/or hes not sure if its dead he'll place one of his 35lb dumbbells on that bad boy

*fiendishly laughs It's my friend @sweeping-the-clouds-away‘s birthday today. And I decided to draw her "a little something". I'm getting way too much enjoyment from having her favorite character flirt with her. I don't care if she's got a boyfriend or what, this is just too funny! Happy Birthday Groovy! XP

The fact that people are genuinely asking "is this real?" about obviously photoshopped shitposts and begging for them to be tagged "unreality" is extremely concerning. If people are begging for this because "omg it's gonna make me have a derealization episode" that's not what derealization is and not learning (seemingly outright refusing) how to distinguish when something is real--ESPECIALLY news--is incredibly dangerous.
Seriously, people are getting upset over "the bean freaking melted!" and asking "is this real?" is horrific.

there's been a big wolf spider in my room for months and (no hate to her but thinking about her or seeing her gives me major goosebumps) today i tried to catch her with a jar to put her outside but she hid behind my closet at least there's also a gecko currently stuck in the house that is in my room right and i didnt want the spider dead necessarily just not near me but i am ok with the gecko eating it, i am actually rooting for it rn, idk if thats wrong but i would love him even more which is hard bc i find them real cute and they give me no goosebumps at all 😭😭 im sorry spiders and spider lovers i have no hate in my heart for them, i actually love having daddy-longlegs around and there's no physiological response in the form of goosebumps or anything like that and i find them rather cute too but something happens when a big furry meaty spider is near me that is out of my control and so i just dont want them around
