uhhhhhhh desde los dieciséis, aprox. bueno nunca por completo, siempre fueron de medios a puntas, ya lo tuve azúl, verde aqua, rosa, platinado. ahora es cuando más lo he tenido teñido, traigo toda la capa de abajo decolorada (tipo lisa) y sí, primero lo tuve amarillito, después gris/rubio cenizo y ahora lo traigo rosa, creo que el siguiente color será lila.

la verdad no sé jajajaja. yo creo que todo inició porque antes leía muchísimo y me encanta toda esa parte de imaginar cosas, crear historias y así. ahora supongo que va y viene, algunas veces busco canciones que tengan que ver con el thread para inspirarme.

‘ ¿sabes cuantos idiomas existen en el mundo? ’ y aunque lo leyó hace un par de minutos, debe volver la vista al celular para leerlo arrugando el ceño con suma concentración como si fuera un dato de otro planeta. justo ella, que vivía leyendo términos medicinales. ‘ siete mil, siete mil lenguas. ’ informa, enfocando nuevamente la vista en la fémina. su mirada se perló con estrellitas de diversión, sonrisita burlona aguantando lo suficiente para quedarse escondidita en un rincón y no lucirse. por supuesto que aquel dato era completamente irrelevante para cualquier ser humano que no sea un cerebrito enciclopédico andante, sin embargo, aún no había perdido la cabeza. no del todo, al menos. aquello tenía un propósito. ‘ tantossss, tantísimos idiomas que aún no me decido con cuántos de ellos te llamaré perdedora. ’ aún no estaba nada dicho, sin embargo, allí estaba fanfarroneando con una mirada de reojito con resultados desconocidos como la buena competidora que su adn le obligaba a ser. ‘ dime, bebé... ’ y que acercara su carita toda divertida hasta impropia, gritando burla en cada ápice de gesto, no fue casual. ‘ ¿prefieres un loser? ¿haisha? ¿o te gustaría más... ah, joder. espera ’ vista se entornó un poquito, facciones acercándose más al celular como si eso fuera colaborar un poquitín a la hora de pronunciar. dedito índice en lo alto, a la señal de espera pero también casi dándose fuerzas a sí misma de que podía leer eso. ‘ p-p-pepe-perdedora. ¡eso! ¡serás una p-peperdedora! ’ índice deja de estar en el aire para encontrar una nueva dirección, apuntando cruelmente a la figura impropia.

conversation flows easy in her group of friends, as easy as it always has; a constant stream of content chat drowning the ambient music that comes out of the café’s speakers. no song could be more important than what those people have to say, anyway. specially now.

it’s been so long since they’d hung out in this café like this. all of them, together. last time, a piece was missing to their little puzzle, leaving an aching gap in chaeyoung’s eyes, her chest. not anymore.

minah looks better now, as she chats away. definitely better than she was when chaeyoung first met her again, however that did set the bar a little low. better than she sounded when hwanyoung videocalled her while she was away, and chae may have accidentaly overheard something on purpose (and her brother may accidentally have let her overhear something on purpose, too). in her heart, chae knows minah's better.

she has to be. she’s home.

she sounds more like herself again. she has that lilting in her voice, that signals she’s comfortable. her smiles reach her eyes and her giggles are laced with delightful mirth, like the sweetest song ever created (it might as well be). her cheeks have a healthier tint to them.

she is so beautiful it nearly hurts to look at. as beautiful as ever.

but not all seems to be as ever. not all seems to be back to what it was, to what chaeyoung thinks she remembers it to have been. so much would be impossible, chae assumes. minah’s changed. she knows such a trip inevitable changes a person, specially when it was so hard for her. there seems to be a lingering tension there. her smile reaches her eyes, then seem to halt at some point, not going further. or maybe chaeyoung’s mind is making things up. maybe this is... whatever the antonym of wishful thinking is. and, at once, shamefully, selfishly, it’s a synonym.

except when their eyes cross. then she’s certain she can seen the light flicker. can hear the miliseconds of loaded silence. they’re dancing around each other and they’re tripping. perhaps chae should not be staring, to start with. shoudn’t be making things awkward. and god, she tries. tries to keep her eyes from coming back to her over and over again. like some creepy stalker of an ex. tries to not look at her too intensely, too directly, whenever she says something (her mind - her mind is still worth the entire world), like chaeyoung’s a horror movie villain. but how could she? how could she when she was still as in love with minah as she was an year ago when she last kissed her, a goodbye kiss at the airport. and god, of course chaeyoung is happy minah is happy; she would give anything to see her so.

but god did she also wish it could be herself making minah laugh like that, smile like that. god how she wish it could happen with no intermediares, in a world where the atmosphere between them didn’t feel so charged the moment they were left alone together.
