Hello, I am a dragon-type specialist who recently adopted a goomy, I have never had a goomy before and I am desperately asking everyone I can how they work. (I very stupidly and ADHD-y had forgotten to research them before getting her, so many of my clothes are encrusted with dried goomy slime)

Oh, Goomy are such cute pokemon and become one of my favorite dragon types! And I can relate to the ADHD thing, I went through the same thing when I got Jellybean, lol.

Goomy Care Tips

Goomy aren't the most popular dragon types, but they are well loved by many trainers for their sweet nature and small stature being able to handle.

However, having a Goomy shouldn't be something that is taken lightly. For one, these pokemon require a LOT of attention and moisture. For one, they really enjoy cuddling, even though their covered in slime (that actually is mucus but the dex didn't want to freak people out), they enjoy nibbling on random parts of your body, and they can pass out if not moisturized enough.

For moisturizing, I'd recommend doing it every couple of hours you travel a lot. If they stay at home most of the time and have a small pond or water area they can go to, they'll be fine (bathtubs should only be used as a temporary solution). When I was on my journey, I would dump my water on Jellybean every couple of hours when she got too dry. But using a spray bottle would be better.

Goomy mostly eat algae and aquatic plants, but they'll eat pretty much anything given to them. Processed foods can harm them though, and shouldn't be given to them.

How to get Goomy Slime out of Clothes

I put this in an older post, but I'm also going to put it here. Goomy slime isn't as hard to get out as one may think. For a sink (since someone asked about this one time), jf the stains are dry, all you have to do is use baking soda, vinegar solution, and salt. To get the soapy stuff out, just rinse it down with water. For clothes, you can fully submerge them in water and use Bleach. Of course, there's always the machine wash as well.

Team Sword Dances entry for Mission 4 part 3. It seems the mother Goodra was furious over some guildmembers attacking her many young and had begun to attack the town of radiance! Luckily the guilds were quick to act to take down the behemoth, despite her bringing in some stormy weather turning the terrain into a muddy mess. Bluey and Bastion did their best to help out with the Goomi and Sligoos but just weren't strong enough to take on the Goodra on their own. Luckily the other guilds had that covered especially a rather quick to cast moon blast, Sylveon! Yikes! good thing Bluey and Bastion weren't in the path of that devastating fairy move. Non-Hisui Alpha Collection

Did you know you can collect Alpha Pokemon from outside the Hisui Region?

You can't use them in Hisui, and they won't do anything special outside of PLA, but when you view then in PLA mode in Pokemon Home, they will display as an Alpha.

You can take anything that has a regular pokemon that evolves into a Hisuin form, and evolve it outside of the game.

Oh! I'd love to talk about her!

So, I first caught her when she was a goomy, and it was on pure accident. I was trying to catch a Pikachu, but the Pikachu was really sneaky and kept escaping me. So then I used my last pokeball (heal ball cuz it was the only one I had at that point), and right when it was about to hit him, s goomy just wandered by and got hit with the ball instead. That was a big shock, bcuz I didn't even know she was there, and Goomy are quite rare in Galar.

But I let her out. She was a bit nervous, but she was super cute and super sweet and wanted to be petted, and I couldn't let her go. I named her Jellybean because she really likes the Jellybeans I had. So that's the story on how I caught her.

But I have other stories. One thing to know is that the Goodra line doesn't like to he alone, and they have multiple partners at once because of this. So Jellybean has tried to court the members on my team. It didn't work, but she's fine. She's fine, though, and she has her friends and partners at the shelter.

I let her sleep on my bed when she was a Goomy and a Sligoo, but stopped once she became a goodra because she's slimier, 6'7, and weighs 336 pounds. That doesn't stop her from trying, though, and there have been multiple times where I wake up to find her looking at me like this:

She liked to help out at the shelter a lot, and she acts as a mama to a lot of the younger mons. She hasn't had eggs herself yet, but for how sweet she is, I imagine she'll have a clutch at some point. There's actually a group of Charmander who flock to her anytime they see her, and she'll pick them up and feed them, and it's really cute to watch. She'll also watch Bagels the fidough and play with him often, since he's the youngest mom I have.

The slimy hugs are true, but Jellybean will also bite my ear as a way of affection. It isn't hard, and goodra, do this to other Goodra when greeting them (not biting the ears because they don't have noticeable ones), but it can still feel a bit gross.

Tldr: Caught Jellybean on accident trying to catch a Pikachu, Failed to court members of my party, looks pitiful when I tell her she can't sleep on my bed, Is a mom, and bites my ears

I've gotten the shiny charm in every gen since gen 6. Which felt like an important ritual to me. But, I thought I'd NEVER get it in Legends: Arceus! Instead of just needing one of each mon, you have to level up each dex to 10 and it seemed like something I'd never want to suffer through. Untill I learned we'll be able to transfer hisuian sligoo over to scarlet/violet. Anyways, it took forever and was only marginally fun but I did it! My shiny Diogenes living in his ceramic pot will be able to come with me to the next gen :D
