Creepypasta Slasher AU snippet and/or prologue

Boyfriend told me to write this so I did.

"Drive."

It's not the first order Zane's been given tonight. He exhales, not looking away from the gun pointed at his head. Lowering one of his raised hands, he opens the side door.

The man holding the gun, stolen right off the officer's body, narrows his eyes.

"Don't try anything Wexler." His voice is nothing like his face. Somehow, it's soft as velvet, rubbing against Zane's shattered nerves.

"I won't," Zane says.

He keeps his hands on the steering wheel as the killer crawls in after him. The side door of his van slams shut. In the rearview mirror, Zane looks at his bloodshot eyes, and the red that drips down the murderer's black, shaggy hair.

Jeff Woods sits next to him. Zane looks to him, into the colorless eyes. There is no fear in them.

"Where are we going?" Zane asks.

Jeff looks forward. "There's a back road behind the shopping center three miles ahead. Take that road, and don't stop moving."

"How about you use my GPS instead?" Zane half jokes.

The killer just stares at him. Zane laughs, and it's stressed and strained and this can't be happening this just can't be happening.

"Right… you broke my phone. I forgot."

He turns the key in the ignition.

"It's been a busy night."

There's no answer, not until they're moving.

"One of many," Jeff says.

Zane swallows.

"Are you going to kill me?" He says.

Jeff looks at him. There's blood on his face and arrogance in his pose, one hand flicking that knife open and closed. Open, closed. His grin cracks the blood, and the light flashes on his artificially sharp teeth.

The convention hall disappears down the road behind them.

But I have a creepypasta au that's set up like a slasher horror movie. The protagonist, a young man called Zane, is a true crime author who wrote two books about the infamous killer Jeff Woods, a killer who's been carving up the continental states since he was thirteen. While doing a talk at a true crime convention, Zane sees something that chills him to his core: Jeff himself, looking at him. Jeff knows about his books... He recognizes Zane. And he'll do anything to get a hold of the guy.

And that's all you're getting from me on this until I write it.

-One of the reasons Zane was released in the first place was to bring back Pixal to have her reprogrammed, luckily she’s careful enough to cover her tracks after seeing the result.

-It was Lloyd’s plan to trap Zane in the first place, and he blames himself for nearly getting Jay killed (or actually killed, like in my spin off au)

-Zane was aware but helpless when he was being reprogrammed, screaming though he had no mouth to do so. His captor only turned him off once he tried to freeze his wires

-Speaking of which, he can’t use his elemental powers, at least not yet. His captor had plans of controlling them, but Zane got yoinked back by thhe ninja before they could test it

-He’s apathetic towards any non-human creatures, once even letting a rat crawl on him while he was searching for Jay
