Macaque x Fangirl reader
"You must be my biggest fan." The hooded storyteller leaned down next to your seat. "I hope that journal isn't to steal my stories." He gestures to the open notebook in your lap.
"What?! No! No of course not." You promised hurriedly. "Your stories are so good but, they're yours. I couldn't tell them half as well. No I'm-" paused trying to collect your thoughts. You certainly had been taking notes but not to steal anything. It's just the story reminded you so much of someone.
The hooded figure smiled indulgently.
"And who is that?" He asked clearly meaning the sketches next to your notes.
Some heat flared to life in your cheeks.
"Oh that is my depiction of the six earred Macaque." You explained ensuring to keep your eyes glued to the journal. "He was the brother of the monkey king? Played a super important role." You rambled. "Actually your story reminds me of-" the words died in your throat as you saw his grin slowly turn into a slight frown.
"You.....you know about the six earred Macaque?" He said slowly.
You nodded slightly.
"He's my favorite. It's really unfortunate how he died." You mumbled with a shrug.
The figure seemed to flinch a bit but when you looked at him he pasted on a grin that felt a touch forced.
"Sooo....you're a fangirl?"
A blushed burned at your cheeks and you tensed.
"I wouldn't call it that!" You shook your head adamantly.
The figure chuckled.
"Hey it's nothing to be ashamed about. Although-" He sat next to you thoughtfully touching a hand to his chin. "Why does my story remind you of him?"
You blinked.
"Uhm well it's pretty well known that when Sun wukong and Macaque parted ways it wasn't under the most...ahem....amiable conditions."
For a moment you thought you heard the man mutter under his breath, 'No kidding' But you couldn't be sure.
"But Macaque was still pretty renowned in his own way and when they did work together they were virtually unstoppable!" You slipped into explanations and gushed about how cool you believed the monkey brothers were.
That was until your own brother ran into the theater.
"Y/n! I can't find Mei or the others any-" He stopped short suddenly and summoned his staff.
"Macaque. I should have known."
"Wha-"
"Get away from my sister. Now." M.k growled twirling the staff.
A low chuckle sounded behind you making you stiffen and slowly turn.
The man pulled back the hood to reveal a black monkey with purple eyes and a wicked grin.
"Ohohoho sister huh?" He looked at you with a risen brown and you felt your gut twist in knots.
"So... Fangirl." He addressed you stepping towards you. "Ready to meet the real deal?"
"I said-" Gold flared around M.k just before he launched at Macaque. "Get back!"
You screamed and raised your arms as purple and gold magic clashed and the resulting sonic blast threw you back into the bleachers.
"Careful there, bud." Macaque's mockery reached you just as your shadow morphed under you. "Wouldn't want someone to get hurt !"
At the last word the shadow opened a portal in the floor.
With a gasp you reached for M.k as you fell only to see him lunge for you.
"Y/N!" He shouted only for his fingertips to just brush your own before the world vanished into a void of black.
You came to with a groan touching a hand to your head.
"M.k you've got some explaining to do." Pigsy groused somewhere in the background as you got your bearings. Slowly, as the world righted yourself you spotted your journal.
You picked it up carefully as M.k dashed out the doors for some unknown reason. You flicked through the pages and froze on your latest page.
'To my biggest fan. Thanks for coming to the show. Was nice to hear someone remembers me. ' - Macaque.
You blinked and despite yourself you smiled slowly. Perhaps you really were a fangirl.

Macaque Watching the Moonrise With S/O
(Not proofread as it is very late and i want to get to sleep -w-)
Tumblr media
A knock on your window interrupted your wandering thoughts as you stared at the ceiling fan of your bedroom.
You sat up to see your boyfriend Macaque standing on your apartment balcony, grinning at you as he continued to knock on the thick glass.
Smiling as you rolled your eyes at him, you got up out of bed and slid the doors open to greet him.
“I heard you the first time Macaque.” You laughed softly as he greeted you with a small peck on the lips.
“Just wanted to make sure sweet cheeks, don’t want you falling asleep just yet.”
You tilted your head at his words, you didn’t have anything planned tonight with anybody, especially him.
“Before you say anything, no you didn’t forget we had a date. This is merely me surprising you.” He smirked as he winked down at you, his tail softly swaying behind you as he grabbed you gently by your wrist and one of the thin blankets on your bed in the other hand.
Suddenly, you fell through the floor through the shadows. A yelp was caught in your throat as you felt the pool of violet consume you, the freezing air hitting your skin as you traveled through the darkness.
You suddenly rose from the shadows onto the floor of your apartment’s rooftop, a shudder running through your body as you were met with the cool fall breeze.
You were never gonna get used to that.
“You okay sugarplum?” The demon looked at you with a slightly worried expression as you smiled and nodded, Macaque always asked if you were okay after you used the shadows to reach your destination.
He gently held your hands as you both sat down on the cold concrete of the roof, “Good, good.”
He noticed your shivering form. “Oh, here, this’ll warm you up.”
He wrapped the blanket around your shoulders, letting you snuggle into the fluffy material.
He chuckled softly as you enveloped yourself, raising an eyebrow at you as he let his thought slip past his lips “Cute.”
His face flushed red, did he just say that out loud…?
“I am cute aren’t I?” You stuck your tongue out at him, deciding to play along with his accidental flirt.
“Yeah yeah, Miss Humble. You’re cute alright.” He said the first part in a sarcastic tone, rubbing his nose against yours.
As he slowly pulled away from you, you held the blanket out to him, offering the space next to you.
“I don’t want you being cold either, I’m like a heater right now.” A smile spread across your face as he chuckled once more, his fur was keeping him far beyond warm but he sure as hell used this as an excuse to cuddle up next to you.
He shifted closer to you as you wrapped the blanket around the both of you, letting out a laugh as he felt your scorching body heat.
“Jeez, you weren’t joking about the heater thing sugarplum…”
You laughed back as you rested your head on his shoulder, his head rested on top of yours.
You stayed like this for a few long minutes as he pressed loving but gentle kisses on your head, his arm loosely wrapped around you as the sun started to set.
You realized he hadn’t actually told you what you were doing up here, finally asking him the long-awaited question.
“Oh, I just wanted to watch the moonrise together. It’s a full moon tonight and I figured that would be a romantic thing, right?”
You smiled once more as you nodded against his shoulder, your soft comfortable breaths were music to his six ears.
He loved how you could be so comfortable around him, that was a sure-tale sign you trusted him, and that meant the world to him.
His tail wrapped around your waist as his arm rested atop your shoulder, never wanting to let go of your pretty figure for the rest of time.
You two were just waiting for the moon to come out as you talked about random things that came across your minds, ranging from things that happened at your work or what MK and his friends were up to this week.
“He ended up being a whole three hours late with my order, and when he gave it to me it ended up being the wrong order…” You sighed as you thought about the recent experience with Pigsy’s Noodles.
“Eh, doesn’t surprise me. I’ve heard worse stories from the kid himself. You honestly got lucky hon.” The simian chuckled thinking of the monkey king’s successor and all the horror stories of his past deliveries he happened to hear.
Your conversation was interrupted as the ivory glow of the moonlight lit up the tops of the buildings in Megapolis, the lunar glow eventually hitting the both of you as it glowed against your skin.
The stars danced around the massive rock as they were set up in sporadic patterns, although this wasn't your first time watching the moonrise it certainly was the most special.
Macaque, however unlike you, wasn’t looking up at the sky at all. He saw skies like this thousands of times throughout his long years of life.
His golden orbs were fixated on you the whole time, the way your eyes practically lit up when you stared up at the night sky.
The quiver of your lip as you took in the beauty before you, however to him you were the only beauty before him.
You noticed he was staring at you this whole time, making you smile and laugh softly.
“What is it?”
He chuckled back once more as he kissed you on your lips, gently pulling away as he smirked “Just admiring the view.”

Prompt: A: Is it hot in here or is it just me? (with Macaque x reader)
B: It's you.
A: What?
B: What?
Tumblr media
Summer was your least favorite season for many reasons. One was the dreaded heat and how it only got worse because of climate change. Two was your ability to get sunburns in minutes and the severity of them usually involved talking others down from bringing you to a doctor. “UGH! Can’t the fucking sun calm down and take a day off?!” You were laying on the ground outside and staring up at the leaves of the tree that you sat under while your shadow companion mediated. Not missing the irritated tick mark that was practically visible on his face.
“You didn’t have to come with me you know. I told you I’d be honing my hearing ability while being surrounded by noise and it’d be boring but you didn’t listen, moonlight.” He spoke with his eyes still closed and all six of his ears out. Briefly mesmerized by the color lotus petal-shaped ears, how the uppermost ears were a bright glowing fuchsia and casting a filter over the middle ocean blue pair to make them appear purple. His last pair of ears matched the emerald green of the forest surrounding you but seemed a bit lighter in hue and all six flittering because of the wind. “You’re staring~”
“I am not- I just got distracted by- um a butterfly” Macaque quietly laughed and mumbled under his breath. “Sure, sweetheart.” You tried to nap but with the sun beating down on you it was tough and soon you’d be laying in a puddle of mud mixed with sweat. Your lover always seemed unaffected by the weather and was often cold as an ice cube, in the winter laying by the fire comfortably and reading a book (most often plays or scripts of old performances). Maybe he could cool you off now…. It was worth a shot!
Carefully you moved onto his lap and immediately felt like you were sitting in an ice bath, feeling a bit guilty that you interrupted his training and getting his midnight black fur dirty. Sighing in relief as you leaned back against his chest and nuzzling your face into his check, “Much better~” A tired groan left his mouth and tried his best to return back his meditative state but couldn’t. Peaking an eye open to glower at you with little actual meaning and running one of his hands through your hair. The sun came back out behind the cloud that covered it and threw a new wave of heat towards the both of you, causing a pathetic whine to pass your lips.
“Is it hot out here or is it just me?” Sarcastically asking the six eared celestial primate and chuckling at the predicament you put yourself. “It’s you.” You perked up and looked at him, his signature smirk still on his face and unaware of how sweetly affectionate his tone was. Smiling at the compliment, “What?” He must have caught on because the red mask on his fur became even redder and a very flustered expression quickly took over. “What?” You moved so you sat in lap and wrapped your arms around his neck, cupping his face so he had to look at you and grinning widely.
“No- no. You said-“ “I said nothing!” Wrestling out of your grip and averting his gaze to anywhere but you. “Yes, you did!” You slowly crept over to him and kissed his cheek. “Don’t worry. Your secret’s safe with me and by way,” Macaque looked at you with a put-off grin and silently waited for you to finish. “I think you’re hot too~”

Just a shadowpeach conversation I won't finish but liked enough to share
"I know you think you see him there, but he's not. You're just pretending to see him to make yourself feel better; to absolve yourself of your guilt," Macaque says, voice empty. He stands back and meets Wukong's golden eyes with his own broken ones; one with a faded gold hue and the other an unseeing milky white, cut through by a sharp scar Wukong doesn't recall ever seeing before.
"I didn't kill you," Wukong whispers.
Macaque closes his eyes. "I know."
Wukong wants to scream and rage and break things over and over again, but more than that, he wants it to end, to leave it in the dust and never look back. "Then why do you continue to blame me?" he demands, the anger seeping into his voice through the cool cracks of his facade.
Macaque shrugs. "I don't. Not anymore." He opens his eyes but doesn't look at Wukong. He turns away instead, facing the horizon and the sinking sun that casts layers of orange and pink over his pepper-colored fur. "But you still blame yourself, like you always have."
And Wukong has always blamed himself, hasn't he?
"You have always taken the burden of everyone else's problems onto your shoulders, and made them your own," Macaque continues. "You've made plenty of mistakes, but you've already paid your due punishment," he says, tapping his finger against his forehead.
Wukong recoils back, suddenly feeling heavy under the phantom weight of the filet. Macaque leaves him standing there, taking sharp breaths through clenched teeth; he takes a seat at the edge of the outlook and crosses his legs, leaving a spot open next to him. It's an empty invitation, and Wukong doesn't know if he wants to take it or not.
"You've become a better person, Sun Wukong," Liu'er Mihou says. "I wanted to be better too, for you. I just never got that chance."
"If you wanted it so bad, why didn't you take it when you came back?" Wukong snaps. He's wrung out and dry and tired of this conversation. He should turn away, walk away, but his feet are rooted to the ground in a sick curiosity to know where this scene will end.
"Because Liu'er Mihou died," the Six-Eared Macaque responds. "And he didn't come back."

Hi! Could I request headcannons for Wukong and Macaque (separate) with an affectionate werewolf! S/O?? Like they turn into a giant wolf if feeling strong emotions, like in turning red with Mei turning into a giant red panda ^-^ They’re basically just a giant therapy dog for them and I think they need really that.
I hope this is enough info :,))
JDJDHEHS THANK YOU FOR REQUESTING THIS I AM ABOUT TO ADD SO MUCH FLUFF FJDJS
( btw I did this on my phone so.. )
•--------------------------•
Category: headcanons
Fandom: LMK
S/O Gender: Gender neutral
•--------------------------•
The sun and moon duo having a affectionate werewolf!S/O !!
( seperate )
Lets start with..sun wukong !!
Tumblr media
( MY BOI BE LIKE: *GASP* A NEW FURRY FRIEND..M I N E )
( *ahem* ok so lets say time has passed after the lbd incident, and finally you'll be asking the legendary monkey king on becoming your future bf and going on dates together <33 )
You asked wukong to follow you in a forest and so he did, he somehow felt a chill down from the breeze and once you arrived at your destination it was a full moon
You thought it would be a perfect time to confess and so you did..you were filled with alot of emotions but you try to stuff them in untill you confess, wukong asked why you both were here and a cool breeze went behind you as you were too flustered to even speak
The full moon's glow glistening in wukong's skin..it made you flustered more..untill you didnt even realize that you turned into your true form..a werewolf..
Wukong gasped in shock while you were back to reality and ran away, "Y/N come back!" He said as he shouts in the void of trees, he tries to find you in the forest while you watch him in the shadows..
He finds you in a river looking at the bright full moon, he gets closer to you and told you that he isnt scared of you and that you still look beautiful even as a werwolf, you were flustered and brushed the tears of your eyes and finally confessed, he gave his love back to you and now your both madly inlove with each other
( NOW TIMES FOR THE HEADCANONS DJSNSJWN )
Wukong would most definitely make you flustered on purpose just to hug you 24/7
If he is sad he cuddles you in your werewolf form ( he probably also tells you stuff about his day while you listen to him )
If you feel somehow angry at him he would try to calm you down and not turn you into your werewolf form BUT if it was from someone else then he probably encourages you to fight them head on in your wereolf form
If you train then its a bonus point for him! Since you wanted a training partner for quite some time..but be warned..he wont go easy on you!
Sometimes you watch him and mk train and wukong would try his best to do the MOST FLASHIEST MOVES you will ever see!
PLS LET HIM BRUSH YOU FUR PLS PLS PLS PLS PLS PLS
Next up..the sixed eared macaque !!
Tumblr media
I can't think of a scenario for this emo monkey so I'ma head straight into the headcanons dkskwjwj ( sorry for anyone who suspected a storyline for him )
ANYWYASJSSMMS My boi would probably make you his personal therapist dog and no one is allowed to make you their therapist, only for him and not anyone else lmao
When he's sad you comfort him in your werewolf form and he gives back that affection by simply kissing you and words of affirmation
Bro probably wants to protect you at all cost cuz I mean..he doesn't want his precious therapist to just disappear right?
Also if you don't respond to him or feel gloomy he will give you a lil kiss and drag you down to the couch or bed to cuddle ( what do you think would happen? 🤨 )
Everytime he goes out, he comes back with either your favorite book or just something you like :)
Bro probably lurks in the shadows just to spy on you, and probably having an existential crisis on how he managed to get someone so absolutely stunning 😉
Everytime you talk to someone he lurks in the shadows or if he is present he would put his hand on your waist to keep you safe BUT if the person your talking to is wukong..OH BOI THEY BOUTTA START SCREAMING IN PUBLIC NYEEHHEHEHE
•------------------------------------------•
Sorry if the format of this looks kinda different..it's because I had to do this in different devices :')
Also because I went on vacation for 4 days straight and didn't have any connection
But either way..I hope you liked it !! <33

Shadow and Bone- Open roleplay- shadowpeach
What do you get when you mix a manipulative bone spirit with an obsessed shadow searching other worlds for their ‘lost’ mate and willing to do anything to bring their ‘mate’ home and to his senses?
1
Cold amber pupils set in icy blue sclera flicked over the many small balls of floating bone and shadow…
looking…
searching…
watching…
Long black claws in a semi tanned hand plucked one of the small orbs looking at the victors of the fight. Cold eyes zeroed in on the golden humanoid monkey looking tiredly at the cheering group while glancing at a black humanoid monkey. A small flash of pain crossed the golden monkey’s face before it was covered up under a mask. “There you are Peaches…”
The cold eyes shifted to the humanoid black monkey a slight scowl crossing the being lips. “…Soon… you’ll be back home… safe and sound…” a black claw tenderly ran over the zoomed-in face of the Golden monkey before switching over to the black one. “But first… to remove the competition…”
()()()()
A golden humanoid monkey sat calmly on a stone in the middle of a river not very far from a waterfall casually dressed in only a pair of black pants with a few bandages around the ends and a simple sash tied at the side around his hips as he meditated to clean and cleanse his body of the leftover icy magic he could still feel on his back just crawling under the skin. Golden eyes opened as the monkey gave out a frustrated groan. “Why isn't this working!? It's been a month and I can't get it out!” the Golden monkey ranted in anger and frustration as they stood.
They stepped into the shallow water marching up to the falls and dunked themselves under the cool waters to wash away the frustration so they could try again. They stilled when they felt a presence even though they had asked to be left alone for the day. “Who’s there?!” the Golden monkey called out hands fisted and body tense as he looked around noting the silence that before had been filled with forest life.
A tall figure in a white hooded cloak that slowly faded to a pale purple stepped out of the forest with frost spreading out under them. The Golden monkey shifted his stance. “Who are you? How did you get past my wards?” the Golden monkey demanded.
The figure remained silent as the Golden monkey growled. “I’ll ask one more time who are you and how did you get here?” he demanded of the cloaked being.
“I simply walked in.” The figure spoke, their voice warped enough that the Golden monkey had to pin back his ears from the sound.
“No one but those I permit can pass those wards.” the Golden monkey stated with fact before he moved to attack the cloaked being.
The being easily dodged the Golden monkey’s fast fists before catching one of them in his hand with a firm grip. Golden eyes widened for a second before Frost started to crawl up the Golden monkey’s arm from the caught fist making it numb.
The Golden monkey tried to pull his fist away but the grip was far too firm leaving him no choice but to break the hold.
The Golden monkey struck with a kick only for the figure to easily pin the leg to his side while warped chuckling came from the cloaked being. “You’ve improved… but I'm still better Peaches.”
The Golden monkey stilled with his eyes shrinking slightly before he growled. “Who are you!?”
The figure was a tall tan skinned monkey of about eight foot even with long white fur that had an icy blue tint with six lotus petal ears all in different shades of blue with pale purple edging that matched the monkey’s blue-tinted sclera with pale purple irises. The monkey looked much older then the one the Golden monkey knew. Said golden monkey growled. “Stop playing games Macaque! Now let go!” the Golden monkey ordered.
Instead, the tail of the other weaved behind the Golden monkey and touched the cold spot on his back sending an icy cold through the Golden one's body and causing his limbs to go slack and numb unable to move. ‘What the-!?’ the Golden monkey was caught in a firm hold pressed to a chilled chest under the cloak as his head was lovingly nuzzled by the taller monkey. “I’m here now Shihou and you won't be leaving me ever again.”
‘I can’t move!’ the Golden monkey thought in panic as he was picked up in a bridle-hold with his head tucked close in the monkey’s neck as more cold seeped into his body making him drowsy. [Mac… Help…] the Golden one mentally called out before the cold caused him to fully shut down unconscious.
The taller monkey purred happily as he pulled his cloak closed allowing the Golden monkey he held to ‘rest’ against him just as he had done long ago.
“Lets go home Shihou… that imposter is already there waiting for his punishment for keep you from me.” the White monkey spoke as he clasped a necklace around the Golden monkey’s throat.
A blue-tinted portal of shadows opened before them as the white monkey stepped through entering a majestic bedroom of pale icy blues and pale purples with a rich black nest-like bed in the very center of the room curtained by sheer lilac drapes to keep in body heat.
A low growling sound came from the left of the figure who scowled as his cold gaze fell upon the black monkey currently bound in diamond chains with a tight muzzle on his face and a silver band around his forehead that looked like angry eyebrows. “You lost your chance a long time ago. Shihou is mine. At least your rotting corpse will be good for something with how badly you have failed.”
The White monkey continued his path to the bed with pale purple shadows opening the sheer curtains as he tenderly placed Wukong’s limp form on the bed clearing up the frost on the Golden fur completely oblivious to the purplish blue tint to Wukong’s lips and limbs nor the subtle shivering the Golden monkey was doing in his unconscious state. Instead, the White monkey proceeded to strip Wukong of his wet pants and bandages tossing them into a shadow as he grabbed something else from the shadows and pulled out a peach-pink outfit and easily used his pale purple shadows to dress Wukong’s form. “Perfect.” the White monkey nodded as he stepped back letting the curtains close so Wukong could ‘rest’ in peace. “Try anything and that muzzle will be the least of your problems corpse.” the White monkey coldly stated to the black one before he vanished in a whirl of snow followed by the chains on the black monkey coming undone.
TBC… hopefully

Oooh, The Furnaced!Macaque AU be looking good. So many angst options!
(At least Buddha was nice enough to make the urn with the FFM top)
Spideys Brain: <Ey, let’s make this angstier.>
“What, Mac actually being dead?”
<Nope! Even better!SWK and Mac were reduced to ashes, yeah? What if they were really close in there, so the ash piles were actually one pile?>
“Go on…”
<SWK regenerating from the ashes…he also grabbed onto Mac’s ashes – I mean, it was probs reactionary, like, starting as soon as he dissolved into ash…right on top of Mac’s. Or Mac dissolved into ashes while on top of him, whichever floats the boat…>
“Wait, you mean, like Mac being like an ashy symbiote inside SWKs body that comes out. Would be, him breathing out smoke and, whoa, here’s Macky!”
<Cool idea, not quite. Think Steven Universe Gems.>
“So, they like fused. Can they unfuse?”
<Nope! Loss of self and identity crisis up the wazoo!>
So yeah…Lao Tzu cracking that bad boy open to see what’s up and this unholy combination of both SWK and LEM comes out screaming and hitting – confused, gotta be in a lot of pain, freaking the fuck out in general. Heaven shrieks in terror as this abomination continues the rampage that leaves nearly all of Heaven in shambles – can’t believe they are wishing for SWK to be the one to do it instead.
Dunno what else to say, but I guess there would be a lot of derealizations, disassociations and identity crises down the line. Maybe identity death? Definitely grieving over the loss of self. That Journey is gonna be FUN.
Hmm….Welded Monkey AU? It’s a synonym of fused and, get this, *married*. Guess when they work it out, they might go Garnet on all this, then? Just a Garnet that couldn’t defuse even if they wanted to…okay, bad example…
(Also, imagine the general Wukongverse reaction to this…this fused monkey that still struggles with feeling real and has no actual identity…like, they love their LEMs but that is just the purest of nightmare fuel even for them – who would’ve thought the furnace could bring forth even more fears?)
Ohohoho
"Welded Monkey!au" is delightfully devious.
Sun Wukong and the Six Eared Macaque may have technically "died" to the Furnace...
But the four-armed, firey-eyed, six-eared, and two-tailed Welded Monkey King of the Crucible was born.
And of course this is considering that the being born from the furnace is a grown fusion, and was not compressed into a fresh Diamond Stone Egg from the ashes...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both two previous minds clashing and marrying and a whole new mind forming all at once. Not even the Buddha is sure what to make of it.
The battle in heaven is legendary, and even the strongest warrior Erlang Shen is left permanently injured - the Welded Monkey being his equal match + 1. But like with the original story, the Monkey proves far too proud to turn down a bet from the Buddha (though the Macaque part of them yells that it's a trick).
Tripitaka finds his bodyguard 500 years later chained under the Mountain, and nearly faints from the sight.
A tall, bronze-furred monkey that looks at the monk with equal fascination and disgust. Molten copper and iron still dripping from their maw. Lets just say Guanyin needs to apply the crown immediately or else the combined anger of SWK and the spite of LEM means one less Journey member.
Many demons run at the sight of them.
The Welded Monkey (aka "Alloy/Héjīn) refers to themselves only in plural pronouns, as to respect their original forms.
They wield a staff and can jump into the shadows of their foes. To the unknowing, it's like seeing an Asura fight on earth.
Their personality is one of opposites; cheeky and demure, boisterous and calculating, honest and scheming, theatric and shy. So many aspects of Sun Wukong and Macaque combined.
It gets a little awkward for them to explain what's exactly going on. Enemies think it's an interesting power-up. Former friends are the most confused.
PIF: "So are you Sun Wukong or are you Macaque?" Hejin: "Yes and no." DBK: "So their child? Being a combination of both?" Hejin: "We have their memories though." DBK: "Hmm... what's it like?" Hejin, thinking for a while: "Noisy. On the inside." PIF: "I always did think Wukong and Macaque would marry. Just not in this way."
I imagine their Journey is more one of finding their own personality and identity after their creation, and them/the world as a whole accepting the loss of who they once were.
The Wukongverse def pities/is terrified of what Hejin respresents. Hejin is not a SWK/LEM child, nor are they just them combined - they are something Else.
The different Lao Tzu/Laozi's make sure to note; "Do Not put more than one monkey in the Furnace at once."

Behold, Morro for season 4 in the Lego Monkie Kid au!!
Below the cut I’ve put some details about the season, as well as their design.
• So, Morro gets trapped in the scroll along with everyone else!! Inspired by what one of my friends on discord mentioned, apparently the scrolls work for all memories, not just for recording JTTW stuff.
• Therefore. We’re gonna get some Morro trauma. Since the scroll can put you in the worst memories you had/in some kind of past life, I thought, “what better than to hurl Morro back into his misdeeds as a ghost?”
- That’s why when Morro’s in the scroll, he’s gonna be walking around in his old gi from the show. I didn’t give him a cloak or anything for the sole reason of me having a hard time drawing it
• Boy oh boy Morro absolutely hates having to be dressed in the robes of his past. He’s been trying to move away from what he did, to forge his own identity and life. Yet now he gets put right back where he was, at the peak of his darkest times, and MK and Mei end up bearing witness to it, no less!
• Long story short Morro just. Is going to be miserable this whole season. Their past got dredged up in such a messy way for all to see.
• I don’t wanna give away too much since this post is mainly just for Morro’s season 4 design, hehe.
• You want more info?? Send in asks! I will devour them and answer back dutifully.
• Now onto design talk, tw for some blood stains and detailed description of death for a bit
Tumblr media
• The only details I’ll really say for Morro’s scroll design are that his outfit is fairly burnt and torn up in many places, due to how he died. Well, more so the condition his clothes were in when he passed away.
- The front of Morro’s gi is stained with dried blood because of how he died, which I personally believe to be due to the kethanol gas in the Caves of Despair. There’s more info about it on the wiki, but the effects I’ve given to it basically are that prolonged exposure will cause someone to bleed out, with blood coming from the nose and mouth and the eventual exsanguination is the cause of death. So yeah, you just. Drown in your own blood, can’t get enough actual air and asphyxiate, bleed out, etc. The gas can kill you in a number of ways I’d say
• Moving past all that…Morro gets longer ribbons now!! He added on a new ribbon, since he bonded with Red Son at the end of Season 3, and off-screen between the last season and this one, lol. Think of their friendship as…fanning the flames. They kinda just hype each other up and it’s very chaotic.
• Morro actually trains with Macaque to learn some shadow magic!! They’re super interested in learning teleportation via shadows because it’s cool as hell, and they just generally like to spend time with Macaque. After some time, Morro finds that his eye markings are getting kinda…larger and discolored.
- Surprise the universe/gods saw Macaque taking in Morro and went “oh successor??? The Six-Eared Macaque has a successor??” And long story short, after an initial bout of extreme panicking, Morro realizes that he’s now got some cooler new markings!!
- Yes, I’m contractually obligated to change Morro’s eye markings with each new design at this point, lay off me
- I’m very happy with this marking design tho!! It looks very nice and is easy for me to draw. The markings actually manifest themselves in the way of like…scar stuff. And I tried to have them resemble Morro’s actual cursed markings as much as I could, but it was hard to do that when it kept veering into flame territory (which I wasn’t aiming for). So yeah!
- I also added a little chart at the bottom to demonstrate the differences between the markings and also how Macaque’s and Morro’s purples are different. Mac’s is more on the blue hued scale, while Morro’s has more pink tones to it. There!
• And last but not least, the tail(s) of Morro’s sash got longer!! I did this for the purpose of giving their silhouette a more monkey-like appearance, with the longer sash acting as a sort of faux shadow tail. This works great for any silhouette shots!
• So yeah! That’s that! Feel free to ask anymore questions, I’ll be glad to answer!!!
• Oh also I forgot to draw it in but you know how everyone else gets a cool weapon during season 4 from the scroll? Yeah, Morro’s taking the memory of the Sword of Sanctuary with him.

LMK Sun Wukong and Macaque with MK's Guardian
Incoming awkwardness for this one! Basically you'll be serving as our protagonist's caretaker. Basically a parent and child relationship. I will say you are one BAMF and have some tricks up your sleeve. For this headcanon, we'll be focusing on a potential love triangle. And it begins with a disastrous first meeting! This can be read gender neutral or preferred gender. Enjoy.
You've been taking care of MK for a very long time, ever since he was a toddler. You cared for him as much as an actual parent despite not being related at all. To you, he's your darling dumpling.
So you were honestly on edge when the 'Great Sage Equal To Heaven', Sun Wukong, made your kid his successor. Don't get me wrong, MK is a good and strong kid, but he has never seen how ugly yaoguai/demon fighting can get.
Or how twisted some were. But you gave him some leeway if he promised to take care of himself. So when MK began coming home with bruises and not sleeping well? YOU WEREN'T HAPPY.
What made you more upset was he began lying about what really happened. Falling down the stairs don't cause bruises that look like handprints.
It seemed you have no choice but to use your dirty little secret. Truth is, you used to be human until one horrible incident ruined it all. Now, you were someTHING called an Auditor.
Sure, the powers such as changing your mass, pyrokinesis and a shit ton of other stuff were cool but... You never wanted to risk scaring MK with the appearance of an underworld boogeyman. But now, there was no choice.
You dropped your human form and stalked him. Apparently Sun Wukong hadn't taken MK's training seriously which lead him to this black furred monkey. An manipulative asshole that you knew as the Six Eared Macaque.
Now your kid is caught between the clash of Sun Wukong and the infamous shadow monkey, completely powerless. When Macaque's shadows started inching towards MK? You had enough.
Manifested right in front of MK with a heavy machine gun stock full of magic laced bullets, then LET IT LOOSE. "GET AWAY FROM MY SON!"
Tumblr media
Cue fight immediately coming to a halt as all eyes were now on your black flamed body. "MK Qi Xiaotian, you and I are going have a talk when we get home. After I handle this."
You didn't even give Macaque a chance to say a word as you fired more lead. Those who mistreat your kid don't deserve the right to talk. The monkey began to run when he realized the bullets ate away any magic. Even his Smoke Monster didn't survive all the countless bullets.
He tried a sneak attack from behind but you grabbed the bastard by the tail and jab him through the chest. Dropping the monkey to the ground with MK's stolen powers in hand which you handed back to the kid.
Macaque didn't even get to say anything as you blasted him away in a cyclone of shadow fire. Sun Wukong wasn't any better either as you got straight into the Monkey King's face.
"You aren't going near my son ever again. Consider your training sessions with him kaput." Sun Wukong didn't even have a chance to explain either as you took MK and left.
The talk to come wasn't pleasant but it had to be done. MK would no longer have training with the Monkey King alongside being grounded. He broke the rules about properly taking care of himself so this was his punishment.
Sun Wukong and Macaque would no doubt try to get into some form of contact with your son. Well too bad cause you weren't staying on the sidelines any longer.
MK's training would resume but not with the same mentor. It was time for the Auditor to come into play. And you will burn every single enemy that dares threaten your son to ashes.
The Auditor is basically a powerful antagonist that originates from Krinkels' Madness Combat series. He's as powerful as he is mysterious. I won't list the Auditor's full abilities so here's this but I can promise he'll give Sun Wukong a run for his money.
As much as I like making positive headcanons, I figured a 'Consequences Of Your Actions' would be a nice change of pace and episode 9 felt perfect for that. Now the bold red text is only going to be used for speech when the reader is in Auditor mode. Otherwise it'll be normal.
Until next time folks, I'll see you back at Megapolis. Here's some Auditor before I go. Edit: Added a little song to this.

There goes my more headcannony version of Macaque
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like is the most seen, he has half white fur bc i am sucker for this hc, then his six ears i am still battling myself if they should be torn around or are just “feather” like so i left ir as of rn.
I love his violet eyes but saw one person made his eyes like this and i couldn’t get it out of my mind so ya-
Also his marking are some modified version of what i found bc the idea of his marking forming like that is so freaking cool. His scar look is my idea, will still try to improve it to look more like a scar when i sit at it more throughly
Also his face is more “ape like”??? Like i made his face longer slightly, might work on it some more but i like it for now . And last i couldn’t pass on giving him some grey hairs, and if see closer up his white side also has those

Shadow King Au
Remember in episode 9 S1, Macaque managed to trick Wukong for a second shapeshifting as Mk? Yeah? I thought it be cool if Wukong pulled that trick once. STRAP IN BOYS THIS IS A JUICY ONE!!!
~~~
“Please, Please, Please, PLEASE let him be ok!” The six eared Macaque cried as he returned to his Wukong’s mountain after he heard the chaos that was happening. Macaque landed and ran up the mountain helping his people along the way. He could hear Moksha, one of Guanyin’s disciples, calling out to him.
Macaque’s worries grew when he heard the boy calling out to him he rushed towards the sound. He saw many monkeys running away, he told them to find shelter and to help those who are hurt. Once he arrived his worries died when he saw his beloved son he ran up to him and hugged him.
“Xiaotian! I’m so glad you’re safe…”
“Dad…You’re here…” The prince commented
“Of course I did! What happened?! Where are the generals?!”
“I’m….I’m not sure… I think they’re…gone?…” the prince says with a bit of hesitation.
Macaque was in utter disbelief, looking towards his fellow discipline with sadness and hurt. “Moksha go back to master and tell her that Wukong escaped”
‘Look at him he’s hurt…don’t hurt him more than we already did!’
Moksha nods and goes back to Guanyin with the speed he could get. Macaque gave a big sigh as the prince gave a dark glare at the disciple of the Bodhisattva.
They would pay for what they did to him. But first…the six eraed monkey is fir-
“Xiaotian we need to get you out of here… I know you don’t want to leave but its only temporary I promise” Macaque said, as calm and sweetly as he could.
‘Don’t do it please! Tell him the truth! Stop toying with him!!’
“No! I mean no…I want to stay!” The prince stepped away from his father. Maintaining a grip of his staff.
“Xiaotian listen to-”
“Monkey King!!” Cried General Ba as he ran towards his king and the prince
“Ba! You’re safe! Listen take Xiaotian a-“
“Liu’er…thats not the prince”
Macaque stopped and looked at the rest of the generals, injured but protecting their prince, Xiaotian. The king’s eyes widen as his son stood there crying and weak, behind Ma and Liu as Beng got in front of his fellow generals.
Wait
“Dad?”
“Xiaotian? Then-” before he could muster another word after turning towards his “son”, he was kicked with such force towards the nearest stone wall, creating a giant crack upon impact
The fake prince laughed at the sight of the king bashed into the wall, glowing a warm and golden light revealed the freed Sun Wukong. He looked mad…both in state of mind and how he felt.
‘NO STOP THIS ISN’T GOING TO HELP!! THE KID IS HERE HE’LL GET HURT!!’
“Hey plum…missed your king?~”
UHUHUHU ITS SO COOL HAVING ALTERNATIVE SCENARIOS
I also need to find a way to include young wukong in the next part
Dont Hate You.
Super fluffy not super proofread shadowpeaches fic lmao.
Sorry in advance for typos or weird sentences lol, I sorta wrote this on a whim.
Lee! Sun Wukong Ler!Macaque
Wukong is sort of out of character here just because hes super sleep deprived and irritable.
Hope somebody enjoys this! 💖💖💖
___________________________________________
Being immortal gives you a lot of things to have nightmares about.
This was especially true for Sun Wukong, who had a tendency to make stupid, half-baked plans leading to stupid, terrible, consequences for those he cared about and stupidly failed to protect.
All those mistakes he made were cemented in his mind, every failure branded into his memories with searing heat. They played over, and over, and over, more nights than most.
And so here he was again. Shooting up from his bed with a gasping breath, covered in sweat, lungs feeling empty and aching.
He grounded himself and gave his vision some time to unblur. Breath in, breath out, and then the usual routine.
Glass of water. Cold shower. Attempt to convince yourself to go back to sleep. Fail. Look at the night sky and wait for the sun to rise.
Easy-peasy.
Not like immortals needed to sleep anyways.
The Monkey King slowly clambered off the bed, ready to begin his little mental itinerary. But upon his first step his thoughts were very rudely interrupted by a shrill squuuuueeeeaaaaaak of the floorboard beneath.
Damnit. He didnt have the floor memorized in this stupid air ship yet.
Not a big deal. Unless you're rooming with an extremely nosy six eared monkey.
Stopping himself from groaning in annoyance he looked over at his six eared companions bunk, waiting for a reaction.
A moment ticked by with no stirring or waking up.
Huh. Maybe he was just super lucky tonight.
"Mmh, Wukong? What're you doing?" the black furred monkey mumbled sleepily.
"Nothing, just grabbing a drink."
He didnt want to talk about his nightmare. Some part of Wukong wanted to be called out, just so he could feel like someone was concerned for him. But no. He had to resist that urge. He had to be strong.
Macaque lifted his head up and eyed Wukong suspiciously. "Bullshit," he broke into a yawn and stretched, "You had a nightmare."
"I didnt." The Monkey king didnt even know why he was lying right now. He was too tired to be able to convince anybody, especially not Macaque.
"Why are you denying it? Not to bruise your ego buddy but it's pretty damn obvious," he disappeared into the shadows and flipped up right in front of Wukong to look him in the eyes.
"I dont know what you're talking about. Maybe you need to get your eyes checked Mango," he said, averting eye contact.
He knew using old nicknames would just further provoke the other monkey so he had no idea why he was doing it. His mouth was just sort of. Going.
"Well, Peaches," Macaque snarled, "Let's take a look at you."
"You're drenched in sweat," he listed on his fingers, "your hands are shaking," were they? Wukong didnt even notice.
"Aaaand..." he drawled out, grabbing Wukong by the chin and turning his head, "Those eye bags are looking pretty atrocious."
Monkey king growled through his teeth. He shoved Macaque away, anger flaring up and face prickling. "Why the hell are you even talking to me right now?! To mock me? To piss me off?" he burst out, letting his anger get the best of him. Why was he getting so worked up about this?
Surprisingly, Macaque looked guilty. He smacked a hand on his forehead and dragged it down his face. "I- I just... ugh. This isn't what I wanted," he said with a sigh, "I want to help you Wukong." A moment passed. "I'm..." he ground out, "I'm sorry. You just pissed me off with that old nickname. I lost my cool."
What? Wukong was sure he was still asleep at this point. Mac, wanting to help? And apologizing? Not possible.
He was going to promptly ignore whatever development that was.
"Why and how would you ever help me? With anything. Ever," he crossed his arms, tail flicking anxiously.
Dodging any and all of the implications from that statement, Macaque smirked, "Well I have an idea. But you'll have to extend some trust to me your majesty," he saw the doubt in Wukongs face and continued, "Its something we did as kids."
Well. Wukong couldn't think of anything they did as kids that was harmful. And he was so, so, tired.
"Fine," he decided. Was this a terrible mistake leading to his demise? Probably.
"I knew you'd come to your senses sometime, Wukong," underneath macaques laid-back persona he was really excited, "Just lay back down and let me work my magic."
So here Monkey King sat, Great Sage Equal to Heaven, in a bunk on an airship, weaker than he ever had been, and with his childhood friend turned mortal enemy clambering on top of him to supposedly help him with nightmares. He hadn't felt this ridiculous in a while.
"Just tell me if you want me to stop," Macaque looked down at Wukong, "I will. I promise."
Wukongs distrustful eyes continued to follow Macs every movement, watching as his hands lowered towards the Monkey Kings ears.
"What're you do-" as Macaque started fluttering his fingers around the shell of Wukongs ear, suddenly everything relaxed. "Oh," he breathed out.
The tight coil of his irritation, anxiety, and stubbornness was being loosened and replaced with butterflies in his stomach and the urge to titter.
Despicable.
Macaque let out a snicker "Damn Wukong, I guess we called it your 'melt spot' for a reason. I forgot how much you like this," he smirked, testing the waters for teasing most likely. Suprised by the lack of verbal response on Wukongs end he continued, "You dont have anything to say about that?"
No Wukong did not. I mean think of what it looked like! Here he was desperately fighting a dorky smile off his face, squirming, and holding onto Macs wrists uselessly. And by the feeling of his face he was probably blushing too. Gods. He hadn't blushed in literally two hundred years.
So no. He had no comment. He just clamped his mouth shut and turned his head to the side so he didnt have to look at Macaques stupid smirking face.
"Wow. Never thought I'd see you speechless," he started with a grin and let it drop, "But you cant just leave me out to dry now Wukong! Laugh! Smile! Something!"
He was met only with silence and a then a shake of the head. Mac was too impatient for this. In his attempt to help he had apparently made Wukong take some kind of vow of silence or some shit. A playful one, but still annoying.
He knew Wukong liked having his ears touched, but Mac was getting bored. So he let his hands inch down to the other monkeys ribs and just lightly scratch scratch at the skin there. Giving a little pinch to his bottom rib for good measure, and being rewarded with actual laughter!
"Glad to see you're not a corpse."
"Eep! Mahac nohoho..." Wukong giggled out protest half heartedly and somewhat sleepily. Seems like now that he was a little more relaxed the lack of sleep was catching up with him. Macaque couldn't help but let out a snort at that. "Yeah you sound real torn up about it, bud. And was that an 'Eep'? Seriously?" he chuckled out.
"Shuhut ihit! Ihihit wahahsnt!" Wukong denied through his bubbling laughter, and being flustered made things tickle more, and thinking about that made him more flustered so he was sort of stuck here. And Macaque was barely even teasing him at all.
But this was kind of...nice? He hadn't felt this relaxed and, well, safe in a long time. And it was just so easy to sink into that feeling. Let someone else take care of things for once. Even if he didnt really deserve it.
"So you're telling me I can make Monkey King, Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong, squeak like a little mouse if I just do this?" he teased, giving Wukongs ribs another pinch.
And he was rewarded with another little squeak.
"Eep! Ohohoh mhyhy gohohod! Ihihim nhohot a mouhououse! Ihi- Ihih- Ihih!" Wukong decided to give up on talking and just fling his hands onto his face.
"Wow, you are really get worked up about this huh? Well, the goal was to make you relax, not die so I'll lay off a little bit. Chill."
Even though it's really cute.
Aaand why was Wukong looking at him like that. Oh. Oh you gotta be kidding. He accidentally said that out loud?
He looked at Monkey King, who had lowered his hands and was just. Staring.
Yeah he accidentally said that out loud. Shit shit shit. "Eheh. Sorry, I promise I'll lay off now," the black furred monkey said, ignoring the warmth growing on his own face.
In an attempt to distract from his little blunder, he brought his hands down to Wukongs stomach and lightly scribbled there.
And once again Monkey King was lost in giggles and titters and now he was actually feeling really sleepy.
"Feeling tired?" Macaque asked, seeing his companions blinks becoming slower and his giggles quieting down a little.
"Mmheheheh...nohoho," immediately followed by a yawn.
Macaque hadn't seen this side of Sun Wukong in a long time. He was childish, but never this way. He honestly looked more like some kind of puppy or cat than a monkey at this point. He knew it was just because of how incredibly sleep deprived Wukong was right now though. It was honestly kind of bittersweet, reminding him of all that he lost after he was left behind. Even though he was trying to fix things, he knew it would never be the same.
Suddenly he was pulled out of his thoughts by a steady thump thump thump on the bedsheets.
Wukongs tail was wagging.
He felt an involuntary grin spreading across his face at the sight.
Wukong was asleep, tail wagging, taking deep, slow breaths, with a smile on his face.
Macaque took in the result of his hard work and was about to dip into one of the shadows to get off of the sleeping monkey without waking him up when he felt a tug on his arm.
"Mmmno. Stay," he mumbled sleepily.
"Uuhm. I don't know if that's such a good idea Wukong...Woah!" Macaque yelped as he was tugged down to a laying position on the bed, monkey king wrapped around him like some kind of monkey-koala hybrid. "You're stayin," the other monkeys voice was distorted both from sleepiness and the fact that his face was mushed up against Macaques shoulder.
Oh well. They would figure everything out in the morning. For now, macaque would let himself enjoy the warm feeling nestling in his chest and climbing up his cheeks, while it lasted.
" ...don't hate you Mango," he heard murmered as he fell asleep.
"I dont hate you either, Peaches," he whispered back.
Help au chapter 22.
This was definitely a bad idea. For both sides.
Macaque and Wukong were dressed the same as in the show. when they arrived. Wukong looked like he had a panic attack. Macaque must have taken him aside and calmed him down. Which was very strange for the team. MK was worried about this. Macaque assured them they would be right back.
"MK are you going to tell us what just happened?" Mei said.
"And who is the other one?" Pigsy said. MK nervously smiled.
"The black haired monkey is my second mentor..."
"What?!" Everyone was surprised. "How's the second mentor?" Pigsy said.
"That's how it worked out? Ok I have two teachers... That's it and what happened now I have no idea. Monkey King never had anything like this"
"Why didn't you tell us you had two mentors?" Tang said.
"Hm.. somehow I forgot about that?" He said nervous.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Pigsy said.
"I... I'd better check if he's okay. We'll talk about it later. Okay?"
Everyone nodded. MK walked over to Wukong and Macaque.
Macaque managed to calm down Wkong.
"They're not those..." Macaque said. "It's not a monk." Wukong nodded.
"Wolę you lime to go home?. I'll take you out of here"
MK just walked up to them.
"Are you okay?" MK said softly.
"Yes.. you see." Macaque was about to say that they are going home after all, but Wukong said "Yeah, everything is fine now. Let's go back to them" he said with a smile. Macaque could see that his king was not right and that he was on the verge of despair.
"Wukong.." Macaque said softly.
"Hey. I'm fine, I can handle it," the king said calmly. They returned to the team.
"Is everything OK?" Tang said. Macaque gave him a look that would kill him if he could.
Wukong didn't even look at Tang as he said:
"Yes. Forgive me for my behavior."
"And what happened?" Pigsy said.
"Nothing important. MK, introduce us to your... friends" he said with a slight hint of anger, sadness. Wukong was still holding Macaque's forearm. MK nodded.
"This is Pigsy, Tang, Mei, Sandy and Mo"
"Nice to meet you," Wukong said with a faint smile.
Macaque felt his king about to fall over, "shall we go inside and sit down?"
"Oh yeah..."
"Come inside," Sandy said very nicely. Wukong staggered inside. Good thing he had support from his warrior. They sat down on the sofa. It felt a bit like an interrogation.
Sandy placed the tray of tea cups on the coffee table in front of them. Sandy sat down on the pouffe. Mei sat down with MK on the floor. Tang sat on a chair and next to him, Pigsy and looked at the monkeys suspiciously.
"So what's your second mentor's name?" Pigsy said.
"Pigsy. That wasn't nice," said Tang. Pigsy shrugged.
"Kid, you didn't tell them my name? Very disappointing," he said in his charming voice. MK smiled nervously. "I'm Macaque. Six-eared Macaque. My full name"
Tang's eyes flashed with excitement "you too were traveling west with Monkey King"
"Yeah."
"And you fought with the pilgrims"
"Yeah?"
"And I still wonder why you were there then? You were supposed to tell me" Wukong said and looked at the warrior. Macaque laughed nervously "It doesn't matter anymore. What matters is that I came to you in time."
"Yes... I remember..." He said sadly. The team didn't understand what was going on.
"Then what happened?" asked MK, who was still worried. Wukong looked at him and said "nothing." Macaque rolled his eyes. Wukong sighed. The team waited for an answer. "I fainted then. Macaque helped me with all of that"
"But how?!" Everyone was surprised.
"There's nothing like that in the books," said Tang. Macaque raised an eyebrow.
"It was very unimportant... I was very tired then..." said Wukong still avoiding Tang's eye contact.
"What cool techniques did you teach MK?" Mei said. Macaque looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"And what exactly are you teaching MK?" Pigsy said. MK just sat there, listening and praying that things wouldn't get any worse. He wondered why Monkey King was acting strangely. He used to be smiling and chilli out and now he's so stressed out? MK thought.
"It's not a secret, is it?" Pigsy said.
"Of course not." Macaque said indignantly.
"MK recently practiced with Macaque. Let's just say it was a good start to start the fight"
The warrior chuckled.
"What? It was just the beginning?" MK said. Macaque began to laugh.
"Easy. You'll learn everything in time," said the warrior.
"Oh.. from what I understand MK didn't go well?" Pigsy said.
"Eh.. you could say that MK needs to practice a lot," said Wukong.
MK groaned. Mei giggled.
"Don't worry MK Monkey King will teach you everything," Mei said.
"And why does MK have two mentors?" Mei asked looking at the monkeys.
"There are never enough teachers," Macaque said with a sly smile.
"I asked Macaque to help me with all that," said the king. There was an awkward silence.
"Pigsy, why don't you go make noodles?" MK said. Pigsy rolled his eyes and went to the kitchen.
"Maybe some tea, Mr. Monkey King?" Sandy asked politely.
"No thanks, I've had enough of tea," said the king. The warrior chuckled.
"You don't like tea?" MK said.
"He loves it," said Macaque. Wukong rolled his eyes. The team didn't understand what was going on. There was another awkward silence, which was broken by Tang and he said "on your journey west there aren't many descriptions of you" he pointed to Macaque.
"What can I say, I prefer to stick to the shadows"
The room went dark. The team got a little scared. Macaque's eyes flashed purple. Wukong chuckled. It became clear again.
"What was that?" Mei said.
"A little show of my skills," Macaque said with a smile.
Everyone calmed down. Pigsy handed everyone bowls of noodles. Wukong stared at his food for a moment.
"Is something wrong?" Pigsy said.
"No... I'll eat soon..."
Macaque knew what that meant. After a while, Wukong began to eat.
"Tang was very excited about this meeting," said Pigsy. Tang glared at him.
"Seriously?" Macaque said. Tang laughed nervously.
"Mr. Tang has a lot of questions," Mei said.
"I will answer one thing," said the king. He was looking at the food. Tang thought about the question and said, "It says in history that you got enlightened, but it doesn't say exactly what it was."
The king's bowl fell to the floor. Wukong began to shake. His breathing was uneasy. Macaque looked at Tang angrily, then looked at Wukong. The team was also worried.
"Get me out of here..." He said so quietly only Macaque could hear it.
"What's going on? Monkey King are you all okay?" MK said.
Macaque looked at him and said coldly "that's enough. We're leaving."
"What, but..."
Macaque and Wukong disappeared into the shadows.
"MK what was that?" Mei said.
"I have no idea." MK stood up.
"Did I say something wrong?" Tang said.
"Monkey King is hiding something," Mei said.
"I'll talk to him..."
Pigsy sighed. "Kid it's late now you can do it tomorrow"
.
.
.
A mountain of flowers and fruits. The king fell to his knees. Macaque huged him. The king laid his head on the warrior's shoulder. Macaque placed his hand on his king's head and began to stroke it slowly. Wukong began to cry.
"Sh..Eh.. everything is fine," said the warrior gently.
"It hurts... It hurts so much..."
"I know.. but it will pass... It will stop soon..."
Wukong calmed down a bit. Macaque wiped the tears from his face. Macaque looked at him with worried eyes.
"Do you want tea?"
"NO.."
"Can you get up?"
Wukong tried, but he didn't get up. The warrior sighed and picked him up bridal style. They entered the cottage. The warrior placed the king on the bed. The warrior sat down next to him. Wukong leaned against him.
"I failed the kid..." Wukong said quietly. Macaque looked at him.
"Nothing happened"
"And what am I going to tell him now? I can't tell the truth"
"Don't worry about him. I'll take care of it"
"Thank you... I couldn't have done it without you..."
Macaque put his hand on the king's cheek. The king slowly fell asleep.
Oh.. yeah I'll take care of the kid, thought Macaque.
Thanks for reading 😊
For You [Tang Yun]
╰►content warning: themes of slight obsession
Overview
He wanted to have you
All of you
He wanted to take you away from his brother
Because you were slipping from his grasp
You were his medication, almost
And he’ll never let you go
Tumblr media
Tang Yun adored you. Ever since he saw the fear strike your eyes, when turning to the Shadow Decree, he was never the same; he could never be. He’d envision that same, terrified expression and shiver in pure ecstasy, wishing to see that glassy expression again, to caress all of your fragile body–all of it. Oh, there were so many things left undone, untouched, in his innocently devilish opinion.
To Tang Yun, you were the only one who even bothered to distinguish between the Tang twins when they were little. So, it was only natural he came to you, practically crawling on his knees in bliss. And he never, ever liked to share. Sometimes, he’d get into ugly fights–verbal and, at times, physical–with his brother, Tang Xuan, over who got to spend more time with you. Yet, when you’d part your lips and utter even a breath, the scrapping ceased, and Tang Yun especially, would listen to every word you had to offer.
“Please!” you’d say, exasperated. “Can’t we come up with something so we can all be happy?”
If it was for your happiness, he’d do anything–even if it meant sharing. So, begrudgingly, Tang Yun released you from his love’s vice grip, and helped you ‘think of a solution,’ as you’d always plead.
Then one day, something spectacular happened. They were blessed! Tang Xuan, by Sun Wukong, and Tang Yun, by the Six-Eared Macaque. Finally, the twins were distinguishable! Oh, how their hearts bursted with glee, eyes shining in delight. And, Tang Yun, being the attached puppy he was, bounded to report the breathtaking news to you. He wanted your eyes to burn with tears, your mouth to cry in joy for him. Wasn’t this so fortunate?
“Oh, wow!” you exclaimed, prancing around, touching his blue braids and examining his ears. “Your wish came true!”
Tang Yun fiddled with his staff, cheeks a bright, rosy red. “Right…? Now you don’t need to work as hard anymore.”
“Yeah, I guess so…but I’ll always remember, regardless of appearance!” Your warm smile and assuring song brought joy to his delicate heart. “Oh, and what about Tang Xuan?”
One.
Tang Yun froze. Why did you bring up his brother, his zealous brother, who abandoned him to pursue so-called justice? The thought of his own flesh and blood, flaunting his prowess and charging recklessly into battle, made Tang Yun’s skin crawl. Heart brimming with chagrin and rage, he gripped the iron pole behind his back, cracking an ever tiny smile. Oh, if it wasn’t for you, he’d be screaming and crying and thrashing around, throwing a deadly tantrum.
Tumblr media
“Tang Yun, look! Wasn’t that so cool?”
Two.
Tang Xuan’s overly excited voice rang throughout his brother’s ears. Tang Yun grimaced quietly, ears twitching, as he nodded along halfheartedly. Why did his brother care so much about progress? Then, he heard soft footsteps–familiar footsteps. You came to visit! Bag of goodies dangling from your fingers you greeted them each so sweetly, and they bounded up to you–Tang Yun being the first to peek into the bag (he had always been). He smiled woozily at the treats it contained, then to you, suppressing the urge to squeeze you right then and there.
“Thank you (Y/N)!” the twins said in unison. Their eyes gleamed with glee as they dug eagerly into their respective puddings.
Tang Yun, so absorbed in his adoration and love, always looked forward to seeing you; his six ears always perked up at your footsteps, which he became accustomed to discern. At least he knew he couldn’t lose you. He never planned to, anyway, even if it meant dragging you into the dark, bottomless pit that was his growing heart and desire. Finding solace in your gift, he smiled, gazing at the dark swirls in his pudding cup.
Tumblr media
“Don’t overwork yourself, please,” you reminded the red-haired Tang twin. “The last time, you almost…”
Tang Yun’s ears twitched. Dread pooled in his gut.
“Oh, don’t worry (Y/N)!” said Tang Xuan, as he nonchalantly brandished his pole. “I’ll be fine from now on, I promise!”
Three.
Promise? Pinky promises. Broken.
Snip.
Crimson clouded Tang Yun’s eyes. Spite boiled in his veins. Who was Tang Xuan, an overzealous fool, to take what was rightfully his? Blinded by his romance with justice, his brother never even batted an eye to your cries of worry, always brushing them off with a simple smile. Had he ever thought, even the tiniest bit, about what his own blood felt, so small and lonely, with so little to hang on to? A shrill scream escaped Tang Yun’s lips as he tore you away from his brother’s hands. Oh, he’d never forget the look in your eyes, filled to the brim with fear; he wanted to taste how sweet those tears were, rolling from your lashes.
Tang Xuan stared at his brother with cracked ruby eyes, expression aghast and grief-stricken.
“Tang Yun-”
Perhaps this was the last straw. He absolutely did not want to let you slip from his grasp, because you were the only salvation left in his heart, the only stable pillar in this storm. Once and for all, he’d get to hog all your riches, and your sweet, sweet remedy. Yet, your sobs–your cries of anguish–reverberated throughout his head, through his entire being. Tang Yun hesitated. Why hesitate, of all things? He could simply whisk you away to the shadows and never let you see the light of day, but why–
“Please…Tang Yun…” He felt you shaking against him, so scared, so afraid. Gently, he stroked your hair and hushed you, murmuring sweet nothings in your ear, out of his brother’s earshot.
Slowly and painfully, Tang Yun peeled you off himself, letting your heavy fingers slip from his.
One day, he vowed to return. And when he does, he’d properly steal you away.
Tang Yun stormed out, the rest of the chocolate pudding left untouched.
The End is Here
Tumblr media
"Wow, today has been a...helluva day. Okay, let's take a recap of the things i've learned...."
1) Monkey King is married to Liu Ér Mihou aka The Six-Eared Macaque. Who I have to admit is a pretty cool dude, not because he's hot, but he's married to Monkey King! We both had much in common, we both loved the theater, likes to sing, and other stuff, but that's for later.
2) Apparently the reason why Macaque was absent was because that bitch Jade-Face Princess had stolen an artifact of his, A Shadow Lantern, and he had to track her down to get it back.
3) The two of them have a child, well...children together. The little girl I met last episode is their daughter, adopted daughter. And lastly....The two most cutest monkey twins I've ever seen!!
Their like major cuteness!
The Twins, Rumble and Savage are twin clone Monkeys that were supposedly created by Macaque himself.
The little male monkey, Savage, was dark furred with grey skinned, short shaggy hair, had red face markings, yellow eyes, wearing a red qipao vest and black pants.
His twin sister, Rumble, had the same markings, color scheme as Savage, but with longer hair tied with a Fire lily hair clip, wears prince-nez glasses, a short sleeve hanfu dress with yellow clippings and black pants.
Aw man, I definitely can't wait to tell Tang and Mei all about this..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MK was driving back to the city after having stayed at Flower Fruit Mountain for the past week. After the whole mess with The Jade-Face Princess, Monkey King and Macaque wanted to make sure her wounds were completely healed.
"Are you sure you're well enough, bud?" Monkey King asked in concern, looking over MK for any injuries.
"I'm okay now, Monkey King. I'm all better now." She reassured him, he sighed in worry. Macaque came over to him and rubbed his back. "Ease up, Peaches. I checked her over myself, the kid is in tip-top shape."
Bai He, Rumble and Savage ran past the two monkeys gave MK a big hug. "See you later, Monkey Princess!" MK smiled and hugged them back, "You too!" She ruffled their hair making them laugh. "Bye guys! I'll see you next week!" MK waved goodbye before leaving.
"Man, after all the crap that's happened. I just can't wait to get back home to the sweet smell of Noodles and Tranquility."
MK hummed a beat to a song on her phone, as she made her way back home from Flower Fruit Mountain. MK had sent a clone to the city at the beginning of the week to help out the gang in case something happened. For some reason she hadn't gotten any calls so she hoped everything was all right.
She returns to the noodle shop, not noticing the cracked sign above him as she hops out of the cart. "Guys! Guess who's back from training with Monkey ki-"
Her eyes widened, now noticing the army of bull clones in front of her. They were groaning, eyes glowing a light blue. one of the bull clones jumped down, roaring, as the others jumped forward. MK gasped, holding an order of noodles as she backed away, screaming.
But before the bull clones could even attack her, they are knocked back, as Pigsy's truck appears out of nowhere. MK gasps as her friends step out of the truck.
Tang noticed MK and immediately bolting over and tackling her into a hug, crying out in relief "My baby girl, Thank Buddha you're alright!!" Tang cried out in relief.
"Guys! What's going on? whoa-ho-ho! You look so awesome!" She compliments on their wardrobe, almost a Mad Max kinda vibe.
"Yeah, so uh, some stuff happened while you were away, got really kind of intense." Mei informed, rubbing her head.
"Bu-but I left you with one of my clones!"
"Oh, yes...she's been super helpful.." Tang said in a deadpanned voice. The clone in question, who stood beside Tang blinks in confusion when noticing the stares she was given.
"I don't know what to tell ya, guy." With that, the clone exploded, leaving behind a pile of hair.
"What's going on? What's with all the clones acting so strangely?" MK asked confused and shocked at what was happening.
"After you left-" but Mei was interrupted by Tang "Ahem, If you'll allow me" Tang said with a smirk, Mei groans "Go ahead, Mr. Tang" Mei said rolling her eyes in exasperation.
"Well, after you left, the Bull Clones attacked, but they were more powerful than before, we believe it's all tied back, to the Demon Bull King himself....he's conquered everything" Tang said finishing explaining "We tried calling you, but they brought down the power lines." Pigsy said.
MK's eyes were filled with worry, slowly replaced with anger as she gritted her teeth and clutched her fists tight making her knuckles white.
"Where is he? Where's DBK?" MK growls out.
"We're not sure. But there's pretty scary noises coming from the mountain." Sandy said with a frown and pointed to a far off point in the city, an area which had been abandoned for a long time.
MK frowned, then had a look of determination.
"Everyone, Get in." the teen said, everyone turns to her in confusion, MK only grins with determination, punching her fist into her hand.
"We're gonna stop him and bring back our city" MK said with a determined smirk, everyone smiled at her filled with their own determination as they piled into the truck, heading for the mountain.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the Flaming Foundry, Demon Bull King cackles, watching his bull clones wreak havoc on the city. "Look at them cower and run! With this power, even the great sage could not stop me!" Demon Bull King said with a sinister smile, Princess Iron Fan only frowns, her eyes laid on the glowing blue canister attached to her husband's back.
"Yes father we have finally taken our rightful place as the rulers of this city!" Red Son said looking at the screen, but suddenly the alarms sounded, as an image appeared on the hologram. Upon further inspection, they noticed it was a truck with MK and her friends inside.
'Noodle Girl.' Red Son thought happily to see her again. Whispers echo within Demon Bull King's mind, the image of MK distorting, replaced with the image of Monkey King. "Monkey King!? Come to take me? bind me? I will not let that simian triumph again!" He shouted in anger.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On their way to the mountain, the gang passed the construction site, screeching to a stop, before them stood the remains of a destroyed road, bent into a walkway, leading up towards bull shaped rubble.
"Alright, what's the plan?" Sandy asked turning towards the teen, everyone following the water spirits gaze.
"There's obviously going to be lots of clones waiting for us inside, so we have to go in as fast as possible without one of us getting captured or harm" MK said looking at the damage.
"Sounds great. Let's go!" Sandy shouted, grinning. "Yeah!" Mei cheered.
MK looked at them with a worried expression, "What? No, I didn't mean you guys too."
Tang chuckled. "You thought that you were going without us?" He questioned, making MK sheepishly nod.
Pigsy chuckled. "We get it. You're the Monkie Kid, eh? It's your job to go fight the bad guys." He told her.
Sandy put a hand on her shoulder smiling. "But we're your team, little lady. It's our job to get you there." The Water Demon reminded her, earning a smile from MK.
Pigsy steps on the gas pedal, charging at the base right as Mei used her sword to blast a hole through the front entrance, allowing the truck to drive straight through, landing on a built in road, hidden in the ditch that surrounded the base.
The sound of another engine roars behind them. Pigsy peered at the side view mirror to see bull clones driving up behind them. "We've got company!" He shouts looking back at the front, the bull clones swerve, hitting the truck and causing everyone to bounce out of their seats, Tang falling on Pigsy. But after a few quick maneuvers from the pig demon, he managed to loose the opposing truck.
MK looked around through the window and spotted something. "look there! DBK's throne room!" She calls out looking out the window.
"it's gotta be somewhere down...there!" The teen said, Tang screams in fear as the bull clones come closer, colliding their vehicles together, Sandy was quick to grab Mei, and MK and hopped out of the truck, the two teens clinging onto his back MK screamed while Mei laughed in excitement.
Sandy jumped into the air, punching the vehicle, smashing it into pieces Mei and Mk jumped off Sandy's back and ran towards the hole.
"Come on, MK! Let's go!" Mei called out and jumped into the hole with MK behind her not knowing how deep it was until they were falling.
Mei and MK latching onto each other as they screamed, Mei quickly took out her sword, stabbing it into the wall, stopping the two from falling just as MK latched onto Mei's waist. "Now what?" Mei asked looking at their predicament.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"They are coming for you," cold, ghostly whisper continues to echo in DBK's head. "The Power" The cold voice said.
Red Son smiled seeing this as a chance to prove himself, "Father, let me go up there and destroy those-"
But was cut off by Demon Bull King, who laughed, "You? Why would I trust you?!" Demon Bull King turned to his son. "You have brought me nothing but failure! Time and time again, nothing but disappointment!" Demon Bull King shouted. His harsh words strike deeply within Red Son, making his fists tighten and his lips quiver, fighting back his tears threatening to fall down his face.
Princess Iron Fan watched, anger rising before shock overtook her face. Her husband would never call their son a failure, this was not her husband at all.
"Traitor, He's a traitor! Kill him!" The voice screamed in his head.
"Traitor..?" DBK growled, eyes shining blue. "Yes, perhaps."
Red Son sputters, eyes filled with worry and slight fear. "What? N-no, father! I would never-"
"You thought you could deceive me?!" Demon bull king shouts, enraged and back hands the fire demon making Red Son hit the wall making the fire demon groan in pain. "Stand against me?!" Demon Bull King shouted raising his fist, Red Son couldn't help but flinch covering his face with his arms as Demon Bull King raised his fist until Princess Iron Fan ran in front of him to block it with her fan.
"Come to your senses! This power has clearly poisoned your mind!" She yelled at him. She then paused when she heard something whispers 'traitor'.
"Another traitor in my midst!" Demon Bull King yelled, snarling at the two. "I do not want to hurt you," Princess Iron Fan said and Demon Bull King laughed, "As if you could." He then lunged at her and the two started fighting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So, about getting down..." Mei laughed nervously. "Monkey King wouldn't have happened to...I don't know taught you his cloud trick by any chance?"
"Uh, that's still a work in progress," MK chuckled nervously, thinking back to the few times she tried summoning the Somersault Cloud, only to end up sneezing mini clouds.
"What are we gonna do?!" MK hissed, shaking to make things worse, someone's phone went off. The two stopped moving and froze, The ringing bounced off the walls, awakening the bull clones.
"Mei! Your phone, shut it off!" MK yelled at the dragon girl was quick to pull out her phone, but it fell from her grasp as she let go of the sword, trying to catch it. "Mei!" MK cried.
The teen screamed, letting go of Mei's waist and started swimming in the air towards the sword. MK quickly grabs it while grabbing Mei's ankle before she could fall They groaned and grunted MK sighed as Mei stopped the ringing.
“Seriously, at a time like this?” MK hissed.
Clones scuttled across the rock wall, their metal creaking and clanking, as they got closer to the two. "Yeah! Now's a great time to download the latest version of Monkey Mech-" Mei let out a gasp in realization.
"MK, you remember that cool mech you made, when we first fought DBK?" Mei said looking up at MK "Uh, yeah? But I don--" MK cut herself off with a gasp, as she realized where her bestie was going with this, and took out her staff in her spare hand.
"Give me hand Mei?" MK said. Mei nodded with a smirk, swinging both herself and the MK before launching them up into the air, allowing MK to slam the staff into the rock face, the earth crumbled upon impact, as golden light spewed out, the staff magically forming a Monkey Mech out of the loose earth, with the hero two inside.
Upon seeing the gigantic mech, the corrupted clones launched themselves at it, ready to tear the enemy bot apart, though a quick swing of the mech's staff, destroyed them, and giving MK enough time to make a plan.
"Alright, new plan, you hold off the zombie bull clones, I'll get down there and finish this" MK said looking down at the hole "Think you can handle this on your own?" MK asked with a smirk "I've always dreamed of piloting a blood thirsty mech!" Mei squeals with excitement but with a hint of bloodlust. The dragon girl begins pressing random buttons.
"On no, maybe putting Mei in charge of the mech isn't such a good idea—AAAAAAHH!!!' MK's thoughts were cut short when Mei pulled a leaver and the teen began falling straight down a hole as she was thrown out the mech, the teen screamed in fear and quickly whistled for her somersault cloud , the cloud flies down the hole and under MK slowing down the fall a little bit while Mei fought the hoard of zombie bull clones.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Princess Iron Fan grunts, landing on her feet and sliding back a good distance from her previous attack Red Son, however, was not so lucky, he tumbles backwards with a grunt, straining and hissing as he grips his hurt arm, Iron Fan wipes the blood from her lips, Demon Bull King laughs, stomping towards the two but stops, hearing shrieking All three look up to see MK on a cloud falling down towards them landing with a thud as she rolls on the ground, her cloud dissolving away from the impact.
"Noodle Girl?" Red Son yelled, surprised.
"The Little Thief," Demon Bull King's voice sneered another more sinister one, overlapping his.
The teen then put Red Son down before stretching her back, which gave a sickening crack, making Red Son winch at the sound as MK fell back, "Gimme' a minute..."
Demon Bull King then started growling in pain before looking at MK as she got back to his feet and did a couple of stretches that he'd learned from Wukong, Demon Bull King's vision split her into two turned into Sun Wukong.
As MK finished her stretches she turned to the possessed DBK, "Alright, I'm ready to fight now. Let's go!"
"Sun Wukong! Come to lock me away again?!" The Demon Bull's voice roared, making all of them turn to him in confusion. "I'll crush you where you stand!!"
MK blinked, then looked around to see if there was someone else there. "Uhm, I think you have the idea sir," MK said, leaning down to grab her staff. Whatever was going on with Demon Bull King and causing the whispers and delusions in his head.
Just then the earth shook, making MK look up just in time to see Demon Bull King charging at her. She yelped as she had to dodge several attacks from the raging bull, she finally got to put some distance between the two of them as Princess Iron Fan flung two blades of wind at the Demon, causing him to be trapped for a second.
When MK landed next to Princess Iron Fan she turned to her and asked, "So how do we free him?"
"Canisters on his back contain the ancient power that we needed the key to unlock. Its power has driven him mad," The Wind Demoness explained, motioning with her fan, to the blue tubes on Demon Bull King's back, who was currently breaking free from the rubble that'd trapped him.
"Okay then," MK said, uneasy before twirling the staff around, tensing up when Demon Bull King roared again, his roar shaking the cavern they were in. "Time for round two."
"No," Red Son told her, standing in front of her protectively. "This time, we fight with you."
The Fire Demon was determined to not let anything happen to his future girlfriend, flames surrounding his hands as he and his mother stood in front of MK.
"You'll only have one shot. Make it count." Princess Iron Fan tells her as she shoots forwards, letting out a cyclone of wind, which encompasses the snarling Demon Bull King, "You will all meet your fate together!!"
Both Demons were pushed back. Princess Iron Fan's fan had been chucked away somewhere in the room. The earth started to shake as Demon Bull King walked up to finish off his own family.
Demon Bull King lifts a claw to hit them, only to get hit in the head by a rock, everyone looking over at where MK stood smirking, another rock in his hand, "Yeah! I've got more rocks where that one came from!"
The Demon Bull King slams MK into the cave wall, his fist tightening around her body, snarling. "You have been an utter disappointment! I had hoped you would have learnt more of the Great Sage's little tricks!"
"I don't know what to tell you, man," MK shrugged, seemingly uncaring about her current dangerous situation, only panicking when Demon Bull King went to squash her with a thumb. "No wait!"
In a puff of golden smoke and hair, the now-revealed clone disappeared, angering the now-surprised Demon Bull King, "What?! A copy?!"
"Ha! turns out I actually did learn some of his tricks," MK called from above, making the large Demon look up in surprise as clones spawned. MK used several of them to spring herself further and faster, readying to hit him with the staff.
"Here...comes...Monkie Kid!" MK slammed down on Demon Bull King with her army of clones, managing to get a solid hit on the canisters and knocking them loose, causing them to crash and break on the stone flooring, releasing whatever was inside.
The ground shook, causing MK to yelp as she looked around. The Demon Bull King got up with a groan, looking around confused.
"What? W-What...happened?" He questioned, as Princess Iron Fan stopped her son from coming near him, just in case. Bull King looked at his wife and son, seeing their defensive looks, and frowned, concerned.
Princess Iron Fan went over to him, gently cupping his snout and placing her forehead against it. "You came back to me." That was all she said, resting against her husband as she wrapped the family in wind.
Red Son looked at MK, who looked back at him. "Thank you, and take care.." The Fire Demon told her, before disappearing with his family.
The mech stood at the edge of the battlefield, the group sitting on its shoulders, eating a bowl of noodles. "Well, ya did it, kid." Pigsy said as he ate his noodles.
"You beat DBK! again!" Sandy exclaimed.
"Thanks guys, but... I'm not sure I did." MK sighed, looking down at her noodles. "Whatever was powering him up, it made him...different, uncontrollable."
But we won, right?" Mei grinned, trying to lighten the mood. "I'm sure it's fine. You were done with this, hmm?" Tang asked, taking a piece of food from Pigsy.
"Hey! get your mitts off my bowl, Tang!" Pigsy yelled at Tang, making the group laugh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MK headed back to Flower Fruit Mountain to tell all about what happened today. "Monkey King! Macaque?" She called out to the simian husbands, looking around for them. "You'll never guess what...Happened?" She trailed off, She found them in front of their house, but...Something was wrong.
Very wrong.
Macaque held Monkey King in a comforting hug, while he was crying his eyes out. Rumble and Savage were by his side, also trying to comfort him.
"Monkey King? Macaque? W-What happened?" MK asked, with a worried look on her face. Macaque glanced over towards the girl, not saying anything.
"What wrong!? Did something happened!?" She asked again.
Macaque sighed, went over to MK, putting a hand on her shoulder. "MK...It's..It's Bai-He."
"Bai-He?" She looked around to see the little apprentice wasn't anywhere in sight. "What happened, where is she?" She yelled, really concerned.
"She's...She's gone, MK..." Was all he said.
MK gasped, covered her hand over her mouth. "W-What?"
"And Just when things got better, it got worse. Really...Really...Worse."
To be Continued.

An Unnecessary Evil
Why are girls allowed to say girlfriend to refer to a platonic friend but boys can't say "this is my boytoy Twink male wife Jason?
another part of the Au “where everything is exactly the same but Lady Bone Demon destroys everyone with facts and logic”
Tumblr media
“You’ve been busy.”
Appearing strong when weak was, what Macaque considered a key component when in a bad spot. His “brothers” always considered him the most cowardly among them. Usually, he would roll his eyes and snark that he was rather the most intelligent- able to keep a cool head. He’d need it.
“Tell me,” The Lady’s voice was boundlessly more undone- calm, yet accompanied by a second presence that echoed her words aloud. “What madness overcame you that you would forsake your oath?” She asked, the pitch of her tone dropped.
“When did you decide to betray me?”
The answer to that question was certainly nothing that the bone witch wanted to hear- that he had not a moment of hesitation in tossing her key to the side, not ever any intention of freeing her in the first place. What was he supposed to say? That it didn’t count because he crossed his fingers?
“Listen, Lady Bone Demo-” He started, with a casual tone and a smile laced with nonexistent nonchalance, but The Lady was in no mood to hear whatever seat-of-his-pants lie he was planning to give her.
Sharply, her eyes flickered open, a blue gleam enforcing her stony glare as the winds pushed him back. He had to cover his face, anchoring his foot down to the ground so that he wouldn’t be pushed back by the sheer force.
“Have you forgotten who I am?” Her voice was louder now, and clearer, no longer accompanied by the eerie whispering. “What I am?”
He clenched his teeth at the sound of her voice splitting into many at the last sentence, each one ringing in his six ears.
“Were my instructions, perhaps, unclear to you, Liu’er?” At the mention of his traditional name, he felt similar to a child who’s parent who just called them downstairs with their full name. A fight-or-flight instinct within him begged him to inch away into the shadows, but he knew all too well how that would end.
“Did I cause you pain during your resurrection? Or perhaps, you felt yourself above a task so unbelievably simple as freeing me from my prison tomb,” She said, staring down at him, before vanishing in a blur of blue, before reappearing in front of him, mere inches away from his face just as quickly. “In exchange for something so unbelievably meager as your soul!?”
Again, her voice seemed to contort, and this time, he really did step back, trying to get as far away from her as he could. He stumbled backwards, bumping into the chest of the lady’s puppet, who sent him a wide, unnerving smile that reminded Macaque of a young child amused at a sibling or classmate getting in trouble.
He placed his hand on Macaque’s back, shoving him forward with surprising strength. The wind was knocked out of him for a moment, but he mustered a confident smirk, looking up at the bone demon, who stood before him, arms folded behind her back.
“So…” He said, a conscious effort going into keeping his voice steady, “You want something.”
“From you? No.” The lady said tersely, eyes cooling back into her host’s deep brown ones as she turned away. “There is nothing I have to gain from the presence of someone who is unable to insert a key into a keyhole.”
With her back turned, a white circle opened up beneath Macaque, chains in her signature blue color shooting out of it to entangle his limbs, dragging him inside. “Wait!” He huffed, yanking on the bindings, trying to stay afloat. “So you’re just going to kill me because I didn’t open your stupid cage!? You dragged me all the way out here so that you could get even!?”
The puppet lunged forward, grabbing Macaque by the hair and holding him down, smile wide with giddy anticipation of Macaque’s imposing death (the strange fellow didn’t seem to like him very much). The Lady turned her head, eyes narrow.
“Even?” She echoed, before her lips quirked upwards into a smile, and her brows creased before she let out a shrill laugh.
“If I wanted vengeance, my champion, then I wouldn’t grant you a painless death such as this.” She flickered out of view again, appearing in front of him as she crouched down to meet his eyes, a cold smile decorating the soft features of the child she was possessing- an eerie contrast.
“I would shrink you,” She said, holding her fingers close together to intimate being tiny.
“And find a nice jar to leave you trapped in for a few centuries. I’ll even find a nice blanket in the color of your choice to make sure you never get to look at the face of another sentient being. With that being the alternative, ask yourself,” She leaned down. “Wouldn’t you rather die?”
His lips parted in mild horror- but only for a moment as she leaned away from him. He struggled against the puppet, thrashing about, as if that would save him. “Wait, what do you want!?” He yelled. “I can find Wukong, and his brat too!”
She stood, turning away. “Goodbye, Six-Eared Macaque.” She said coolly. “Your magic will be going towards an excellent cause. You will be much happier in your next life.”
Macaque released a grunt of distress at her retreating form. Was that supposed to reassure him or something?
“Wait!” He yelled, disliking the frantic tone. Was he really about to die? “Damn it, Baigujing, listen for once!” After that, it was silent for a moment. The pull of the chains seemed to ease on his limbs, and the thrall was no longer shoving his head into the pit of doom.
“…You may speak.” She said tiredly, probably of him and his refusal to die with dignity, and baffled with the audacity he had to use her traditional name like they were old chums. “Do be quick about it. I do not have all day to listen to your pointless excuses.”
“Why do you think I didn’t free you? Probably because you never make room for reason in all your crazy ramblings about destiny,” He sneered.
Maybe insults weren’t his best option, but in Lady Bone Demon’s actions, there was always method to her madness. Maybe he could find some way to compromise if he could just get through to her, he could at least get out of this Scott-free.
“Is that so?” She hummed, turning her head to look away. “I suppose you would feel that way. I understand why many try and fight destiny- it is oftentimes cruel. What I do not understand why they fight the only solution to that problem.”
“The only solution is destroying the world?” He snapped. His voice came out a lot less “understanding” than he intended. We’re his acting skills slipping? She chuckled.
“And I suppose you’d prefer I leave it to it’s devices?” She mused. “That I allow war, famine, and crime to endlessly continue when I have the power to stop it all?”
“So you’re a Good Samaritan now? Let me guess, taking over this city was a necessary evil?” He mocked her aristocratic manner of speaking, able to rise to his feet again, as the chains had gone limp.
“Quite correct,” The Lady said, a hint of amusement in her tone. “And you, Six-Eared Macaque? Was destroying this city to get to Sun Wukong a necessary evil?”
He stopped, eyes knitting together at the question. “How do you…”
“My servant made it a point to update me on current events worldwide upon being freed from my tomb.” She answered quickly. He couldn’t see her, but he knew she was smiling.
“Don’t tell me the cat has your tongue now, Liu’er. What happened to all your newfound self-righteousness from before?”
He grit his teeth. “So, I’m not the crème de la crème of purity and goodness.” He said, fists clenched tight enough to draw blood. “You certainly aren’t any better than me. You’re the one who brought me back to life.”
She lightly laughed, and Macaque grew angrier by the second. She was still going to kill him after this, wasn’t she? He needed to get the upper hand, but…
“You’re quite quick to blame others, I notice. I presume that is also my fault that my little host was orphaned in that attack of yours?”
Macaque’s eyes widened. What? “What…?” He repeated his thoughts aloud, no louder than a whisper, but it didn’t go unheard by The Lady.
“I wasn’t trying to…” He trailed off. “But you did.” The Lady finished for him, titling her head upwards as she sighed. “I’ve seen selfishness and hatred far more intense than yours, Six-Eared Macaque.” The wicked amusement she had garnered earlier had faded. She turned to look at him, finally.
Her eyes seemed far too tired, and filled with far too much anger to be on the face of a little girl.
Her tone was cool as she looked above him, at the night sky. “But it will all be over soon.”
For a moment, all was quiet.
“Why’d you pick me?” He asked, after a moment. The Lady, seemingly brought back down to earth, hummed in question. “Anyone could have opened your tomb. But you went out of her way to pluck my soul out of the Diyu, specifically. Why?”
The Lady’s expression morphed into one of annoyance. “You’re only wondering this now?” She asked crossly. His expression didn’t change.
“I had decided not to tell you what I had planned to happen to you in your next life, but I suppose, if it will give you closure,” She hummed. “I can answer your last question.”
She’s really set on killing me… He thought wearily.
“There is one person who exists in this world who, with certainty, will not exist in the new one. Do you know to whom I am referring?”
“Wukong. Right,” Macaque answered. “Yes,” The Bone Lady sighed, closing her eyes. “But in the absence of the Great Sage, there will be a void that will need to be filled.” She spat the words “Great Sage” out as if a worm she’d found in an apple. (He understood finding the title obnoxious. Great Sage, Equal to Heaven? Give me a break.)
A void? Macaque thought for a moment. As in, an empty space that would need to be filled- someone to replace Wukong as the monkey king. MK? But…
Macaque’s head shot up. “You mean-!?” The Lady cut him off with a smile. “Interested now, are we?”
The next thing he knew, the chains were gone.
