Listening to the audiobook for "Opposable Thumbs" about Siskel & Ebert & what really strikes me as interesting is how they inspired the internet critic & yet no one of note ever aped the dual/dueling hosts style on YouTube. Seems like that might have been interesting.

Ooh this review is lovely! I didn't know Oprah walked out, very interesting, and I certainly get why!
I used to watch this show all the time and didn't often agree with them, but in this case I do. Especially with the commentary on Tom Cruise.

People who were born in 1993 are turning 30 this year. Some of them have 8 year old kids and mortgages.
That was the same year Jurassic Park came out.
Also Schindler's List, Gettysburg, and the Van Damme action masterpiece Hard Target.
Also Cool Runnings, Demolition Man, Sleepless in Seattle, The Sandlot, The Good Son, and Carlito's Way.
This post was supposed to make you feel old, but I got distracted in my Googling and it is now about how 1993 was a weird, cool year in cinema.
Here are Siskel & Ebert talking about their favorite movies from that year, in an illegally uploaded copy of a VHS recording of a Standard Definition television broadcast.
