It takes a villge
They say it takes a village to raise a child. But I am here alone with all the other women.
Exhausted eyes
Tired souls
Worn down spirits
But hearts full of love.
It takes a village to raise a child they say, but the village is burning and its every woman for herself..

Thank You!
Thank you to all of you who have Liked/Loved my artwork and to those following me. I've been incredibly busy the past few weeks, especially with two family emergenices, (and still have a lot that will be going on for the next few weeks as well), so I thank you for being patient with me. I'll have new fan artwork next month (July!): The Bad Batch, The Clone Wars, Naruto Shippuden, and possibly some things from Minecraft Storymode (my son absolutely LOVES Minecraft Storymode, and I got inspired to sketch the characters in a semi-realistic manner). It's also going to take a while to check out all of your pages (those of you who "Liked/Loved" my work) and follow back those who follow me. Thanks once again!

While they were eating lunch, Haleigh started to feel pain that she had come to know as Braxton hicks but these were worse. Contractions. Haleigh sat her bowl down and grabbed for Ardian's hand, squeezing it tight.

Wayne wrangling Eddie into being more responsible and independent because “if you want to date a single parent of six, you’re gonna need to be there for the kids, son.”
Wayne sitting Eddie down and giving him the dad talk.
"Son, when you were ten and showed up on my doorstep, head shaved, skinny little fella, I promised myself I was going to be there for you no matter what, and I think I have been."
"Wayne, you're the best honestly I–"
"You've got a whole pack of kids on your doorstep now Ed and a frankly knackered mother, using protection isn't going to get you out of this one I'm afraid."
"Wayne they're fourteen! Steve's not even their legal guardian! Well Max maybe but that's up in the ai–"
"You gotta get a job and provide for your kids, boy, Steve can't be the only one bringing home to bacon for all your mouths to feed, you gotta step up for your kids."
Eddie knows there's no use fighting this, Wayne had already adopted Steve as his new son in law and the party as his grandkids, he'll start looking for a job in the morning.

This. This is today's post. For I am strong but I am tired. Sure I could definitely do a long winded description of how parenting is f*cking hard but if you're a parent/carer you'll know anyway and by no means am I saying I hate being a parent (a single parent at that) but it's just some days are harder than others and I'm feeling all the guilt for past failures and current guilt for current failures, like not being present enough in the mothering role - by this I mean some days I just do what I can to get through the day and happy when it's bedtime.
I have 3 children of 3 different ages, different requirements, different characters, different stories and it's just f*cking hard and there's only one of me.
Together we're a family, we have a different story to lots of people - we definitely aren't a stereotypical family and I love that about us - however, having this style of family definitely comes with its hardships.
This week has felt like a long week - Winnie hasn't been well so she's been attached to me, I haven't minded the fact she's been attached to me of course but the fact when you have an ill child you can't do anything (I brushed my hair one day though, that was nice) and then you have other children that need attention too it just gets full on. Next week is half term so hopefully she'll be back to being herself 🤞
Hope you're all having a good week!
