SIMS 4 Townie Refresh || BFF Household Base Game House Renovation #1 || CC + Links
The Sims 4 Base Game needs a refresh! I haven’t been keeping up with what’s been going on in the world of the sims lately, but thanks to one of my lovely subscribers for suggesting home renovations to complement the already existing townie CAS refresh.
Two more decorator gigs ala Wednesday, firstly the Ghandi household with a very non-Ghandi patriarch who insulted our dear Ms. Addams not long into discussing the project. I don’t know what the family dynamic is supposed to be for that household, but I’m guessing there was a mom but it seems she died (this is becoming a worrying trend) and there is a child-aged son.
I felt bad for the kiddo, especially as the original floorplan just had one double bed and no walls other than the bathroom. So when they asked for a kitchen redo, they kinda got an everything redo, including getting creative for walls because it wasn’t the right kind of gig for proper ones. “They” hated it (after giving me almost no useful design choices to use), but I’m gonna declare that it was asshole papa giving the final verdict and not the lil’ dude.
Second gig was Wednesday’s sometimes-obnoxious neighbors, the Bheeda couple who have a brand new baby *clicks age-up* ahem, toddler. They definitely needed a bedroom more friendly for the new arrival, and thankfully they loved the end result. I kinda didn’t? But I don’t like working with Queen Anne styles and after reviewing the screenshots... it’s not terrible. Eh, it’s a paycheck! XD

another day another tiny house 🤍🤎 was inspired by modern Japanese houses I’ve been seeing on YouTube/Pinterest, keeping myself from adding pops of color and too much clutter was no easy task haha! but I really like how it turned out, simple but warm & cozy ☺️ it was snowing in this save so it was perfect ❄️
This sectional couch requires the Dream Home Decorator Game Pack. It has 52 swatches, and matches the style & swatches of my other Gothic CC items.
Due to the amount of swatches/meshes/texture size, the .package file is relatively large (45 mb).
The rounded corner piece snapping is a little weird, so to get a perfect placement you may have to hold down alt while you place it. Otherwise, all of the pieces snap together as expected.

This large family home has everything your Sims could possibly need! Featuring 4 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a downstairs study, kitchen, dining room, living room, and pool in the back garden.
So the last thing for Pearl's aspiration was to knock over three trash cans ... but I could never get her angry enough to do it because of all the OTHER moodlets she was getting from the dust :/ so I "helped" and downloading her some art from the gallery that really got her blood boiling ...
[✓] complete the fabulously filthy aspiration
with that generation 20 is technically complete ...

Today in Sims 4 home makeovers ala Wednesday Addams, we have another episode of "Which Big-Name Townie Is Mysteriously Dead Now?" It would seem that Malcolm Landgraab kicked the bucket, on his home lot this time because I found his tombstone. Nancy also just had/adopted a baby recently, and since the renovation was for a room of my choice, the top floor office became the new toddler's room. Thankfully I noticed before doing too much work, that for some reason deleting certain objects in that office clears out every stick of furniture on the second floor. Riiight, that happened in the last Dream Home Decorator playthrough... sigh. Using the moveobjects cheat fixes that, at least, and I'd saved just prior to editing the lot.
After giving Nancy's new kiddo a very red Queen Anne-ish paradise, we headed to the Harris house for two gigs. Firstly, a room for their own kiddos (which used to be the office) and for me, an exercise in one of my challenge colors: yellow. It's a hard one for me to work in, but the end result gets a thumbs-up from the aesthetic sector of my brain so we’re calling it a win. For the second reno, the next day the Harrises wanted a nursery addition. I think this might be the first time I've added on to a house, because I don't remember the original outer wall being uneditable. To take the final screenshots, I switched to the family's household and fixed up that wall so it looks nice, instead of the out-of-place paneling that was stuck there during the renovation phase. The last pic shows the outside changes to the first floor, with the nursery being the new bit closest to the camera. They wanted 22 tiles of room exactly, so that's what they got.
Everybody liked their stuffs and Wednesday got a promotion. Omnomnom, moving up in the world... and making way more money selling gifted promotional furniture that’s been coming in the mail than from her actual decorating gigs. o.O;;
a tiny little override of those two dream home decorator shelves that adds them to the dresser category. i'm probably the only one bothered by it lol, but this just makes them a little easier to find.
