Taking place during 1BBY, this tiny tragedy follows two Rebel pilots final moments together. Based off Samuel Kim's "Star Wars (Epic Main Theme), and it's recommended you listen to it while you read.

Tw: war zone, battle, suicide.

One by one, ships exploded around her. Squadron after squadron bursting into a ball of flames and gas in the deep of space. Red lit up Libana’s windshield as she watched TIE Fighters bombard what was left of her fleet with their cannons and guns.

That was when she saw it; the purple painted X-Wing of Esmiris Elon. Esmi. Her Esmi. The ship thankfully hadn’t been blown to pieces yet, but it was floating in a ring of debris that had begun to orbit around the nearest planet. That was when she realised she wasn’t the only one who had taken notice of the perfectly intact X-Wing. Pure adrenaline kicked in, pushing on the thrusters she headed straight for the TIE Fighter that was charging and shooting at Esmi’s ship. Green flashes joined the sea of red. Lib smashed the trigger over and over again, her aim poor as she desperately shot to save her Esmi.

The TIE shot and landed a blow.

Another.

Lib was screaming by now, eyes teared over and her vision blurry. She was shooting into the abyss and hoping that the Force would help her to make her shot and save the only woman she’d ever loved.

Another.

She could see Esmi waking up from the blow that had knocked her out, and immediately she began panicking in her cockpit. She pushed as many buttons as she could, trying to steer out of the path of the oncoming TIE, her BB-unit similarly panicking as he desperately tried to repair what he could of their ship.

Somehow, some way, the Force had granted her this last wish, green colliding with the black metal and blowing it to pieces right before it could land a fatal blow.

“You came back for me!” Esmi said in disbelief. She truly thought she would never see Lib again.

“Of course I did. You still owe me credits.” Another Rebel ship blew up nearby. “Do you still have control?”

“Yes. But my hyperdrive is gone. There’s no leaving for me… not this time. You need to leave, Lib.”

“A life without you, Esmiris Elon, is not a life I’m willing to live. If you die, I die. We do this together, okay?”

With a nod, Esmi and Lib turned to face the star destroyers and TIEs that were charging for the last two remaining enemies. They were about to charge when they heard it.

“Spider Squadron, we have arrived.”

Jumping out of hyperspace above them came Rebel ships. Hundreds of them, if not thousands. While they were still greatly outnumbered, the odds on the battlefield had drastically changed. From their position, they watched as pilots took down TIEs with ease, teaming up and pushing the Empire back. The Empire’s numbers slowly but surely began to dwindle, most taken out when a Star Destroyer had been wrecked. But two more remained.

The Rebels took on damage, of course, but nothing compared to the elation everyone felt when the final Star Destroyer and been blown up, and the remaining TIEs jumped to hyperspace to avoid certain death.

Lib, in her joy, turned to look at Esmi’s ship next to her to celebrate their victory together. But as she laid eyes upon the field once more, she saw that the wing of Esmi’s ship had been blown clean off, and the cockpit door was wide open. Esmi, though strapped to the seat, was undoubtedly no longer breathing. While the rest of the Alliance commemorated this impossible victory, Lib felt her heart breaking. As her world crumbled around her, she had one final thought before she, too, opened her cockpit door…

A life without you, Esmiris Elon, is not a life I’m willing to live.

As for Cold War content and churning that out, i've been obsessed with Russ since goddamn July last year when it was a free PS+ game 😭 so i don't think this obsession is going anytime soon and also will probably get worse when Black Ops Gulf War drops.

Long story short, when I first played the campaign, I hated it. Literally thought it was complete and utter garbage to be honest. It was far too short, the characters were underdeveloped, the story wasn't gripping for me etc. I chose the Duga ending first lmao bye Adler (the catharsis though) But i left it for a week...then things started to change. I kept thinking about Adler and I spiralled so fast 💀

So, in terms of who my favourite character is...i think you know the answer 😌 I literally have a character analysis of Adler on google docs that's just pure word vomit that I might release one day. But I also love Bell. The Adler and Bell dynamic is so beautiful yet so tragic. I could talk about it all day *sighs*. Each character has their own kind of skillsets and intrigue so it's hard to pick but they are my main ones. Park and Sims are growing on me A LOT too 😭

In terms of OCs, I have about 4 COD OCs I am working on right now and 2 other ones for different video games. Will I share them? Eventually. I'm just scared of putting them out there for the time being. They're just so precious to me. What OCs do i like? Well for me, it's got to be Aleks (@alypink) and Jade (@sleepyconfusedpotato). Though, I've seen many that have caught my eye and i absolutely adore!

My Top Favorite Drawings from 2023:

"I shouldn't be here!" I put my heart and soul in this one. i am the cartoon dino. i don't know why i'm here or what i'm doing.

2. "Do you only know how to run?" the color palette, the imagery with the landscape shaped to a heartrate monitor, the way this was extrapolated from my real-life worries and the way fear can become overwhelming when playing a survival sim game. it's a comic from the heart.

3. "Let's stay here a while." another labor of love, to capture something sweet. i'll overlook it's flaws for the sentimental value it holds. in this i see a dream of peace.

4. "two snarky robots". this one turned out cleeeeaaaan. the character interaction is everything i wanted, very amusing.

5. "no brain no brawn". 1st digital thing i drew in 2023 and i just love the energy in it. i see anger threatening tears in the eyes as the pachy is scrambling after seemingly being knocked down. a lot of the same ideas/themes as the #1 drawing, and 100% inspired it.

6. Redraw of that one SA2 art, you know the one, with my oc Trench, and Blaze. i love how the lineweights and colors came thru for it being traditional art.

7. "Sonic Rush Adventure 2 minicomic"(page 3). Even if i didn't finish my very short comic, i reached the moment that inspired the whole thing. the "copy-cat" callout and ensuing interaction. and i've got my OC looking rather professional in not one but TWO fullbody shots here!

8. "Sona". i don't think i've ever put such nice detail and color into my fursona before, and the face shape seems so well constructed. normally my art construction tends to be very loose and result in faces sliding off of heads and such

9. "Between a rock and a bunch of hungry carnivores". the cartoonism combined with the 'perspective' and lineweights and visual story of this one delight me.

10. "they're just really cute, okay?" yes i had a bit of a year shipping these two lol. i love how relaxed and joyful they both look here, and the way they overlap and lean into each other despite the toonishly giant hands and shoes. the uncharacteristically large smile on blaze. it's good fluff.

11. "Anger". it's all in the emotion and the colors and shapes. i can feel the burst of heat and the white-hot rage i wanted to capture.

What do they get? 3 asks 6 to teach her/him/them something. What is it and how does it go? 1 finds a seemingly lost cat. What does she/he/they do? 5 has to buy a quick snack for her-/him-/themself, what is it? 6 uses a search engine (Google or similar) and searches their own name. What are the top results? 4 has to take one of the other numbers to a date. Who's the lucky(?) guy/gal/other? 2 invites all the other numbers to a party - except one. Who's left out? 3 learns a dirty secret about 5. What is it and does she/he/they keep it? 4 has lost a bet and must get a tattoo. What will she/he/they get? 1 and 3 are stuck in an elevator. What happens?

You can answer with simple text, or take a picture or write a short story if you feel more inspired.

These were the OC's I chose: Brooklyn Gavin Ayden Sage Jayce Arya

A party hosted by Brooklyn and Ayden would go very well. Top tier decor, food and music. Lots of laughs and definitely a friendly dance battle by the end of the night.

Reporting live from Oasis Springs, the sim that was accused of setting his neighbor's basketball court on fire has been arrested. Gavin Richards said it was just a little bit of arson and ten out of ten he would do it again. And I quote "We don't forgive and we don't forget. Richards gang gang for life. POP hold it down."

Sage and Jayce would post long paragraphs and all the pics they have of Arya that they saved just for this occasion. It's not a birthday if you don't shout out your bestie on social media.

Ayden would ask Arya for tips on how to make vegan versions of some of his signature dishes. She would be so excited and definitely try to convince him that plant based is the best way to go.

Brooklyn would do everything she can to get the cat back to it's home and family. She would not take the cat in though. It's dogs only for her.

Jayce has a sweet tooth so he's always going to go for the cookie, brownie, candy bar option.

*heavy sigh* "Mistaken for her older sister global superstar Bailey Kay"

Sage would pick Arya for a catch up/gossip dinner date. History: Arya dated Sage's brother when they all lived in Sulani.

Gavin would not invite Jayce because he claimed to run out of money and didn't bring G back any souvenirs from Komorebi. An hour later Jay would produce the gift that he of course brought his Dad, get called a knucklehead for the dumb joke and still not be invited.

Ayden would keep any secret he heard about Jayce. Jay is basically his little brother. No we're not telling you the secret!

Ayden bet Sage she couldn't twerk in a handstand and he won (twice because watching Sage try was definitely a win). She got a small heart on her lower hip and she said she'll add an "A" i n the heart when they get married.

Ayden would start to panic after being stuck too long in an elevator but Brooklyn would be the best possible sim to be stuck with. She would comfort him and talk to him about cooking, Sage and definitely memory lane moments to get him to forget what's going on.

okay okay so.. remember when i wrote this hobie fic and mentioned how i'd introduce my oc who's his friend?

well I lied. Bunny (the friend in question) is a black cat varient (idk why i didn't say that in the post) but anyhow. i do have a spider-sona and i wanna ramble about them and their relationship with their hobie varient as well as their earth and whatever. instead of Bunny bc im hyperfixated on them.

So without further ado... here is Juniper Willow! The Amazing Jumping Spider of Earth-19962! brought to you by myself, the sims 4 ft. many talented cc creators, and naylissah's "black centered picrew"!! someday I'll draw them for y'all, but not here. not now.

origin story (short version):

Doctor Olivia Canna was working on her experiment for years. The spider had the ability to create strong webs and a substance that could dissolve almost anything! and she lost it.. it had been months and she could only hope that the spider would find its way back to her. or still be close by.

meanwhile, Juniper caught a cold and couldn't sleep with her mouth closed bc of a stuffy nose. so while she was sleeping, the spider crawled into her mouth and took a trip to stomach acid town.

as the weeks go by, Juniper gets new abilities and with the help of their twin brother, Benny, they decide to use their powers for good! Juniper steals from big companies and gives all her findings to homeless shelters and the like. she steals tampons, pads, baby formula, diapers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, clothing etc! and sometimes they'll stop a crime or two.

Once Juniper's savings and stealings become more public, Doctor Olivia sends her most reliable 'friend' The prowler to go out and find this Jumping Spider.

A Strangerville Lookbook, pt. 3 Ft. Junia Cahill

Junia wasn’t crazy about her dad taking up residence in Strangerville when he crash-landed there about 9 years ago. She was 18 at the time and freshly moved out, so she didn’t feel like it was her place to try and talk him out of it. Plus, after her mother died (she was about 10 at the time), George’ had to make a lot of sacrifices and be the strong one for Junia, all while he was grieving. That led to his life being put on hold, and Junia thought maybe the change of scenery wasn’t the worst thing for his healing process.

In the years since her mom died, Junia has focused primarily on athletics and keeping up with a rigorous daily workout routine, but her art is a sacred escape that brings her closer to her mother, so she does that privately. Well.... except for that stint in high school where she was tagging around town. She hated school so college was a no-go, but she’s traveled a lot and makes money working as a mechanic, using all the skills she learned from her father growing up. Now, however, she’s moved back to Strangerville to keep an eye on her dad, as she’s worried about his safety with the town’s recent streak of missing people, shady coverups, and politically-charged attacks. Much like her dad, she’s kind of seen as a town pariah and many people would even go as far as to call her unhinged because of a stint at the 8-Bit Saloon a few years back. Needless to say, her return to Strangerville hasn’t gone unnoticed...

Junia is an OC that I created for my Strangerville gameplay story - you can see the original post that features all the characters HERE. I do want to note that in the Strangerville GP George Cahill (her father) is apparently evil? I changed that lol. That’s just... not how I see him. But overall I’m happy with how I translated her from brain to page to game, but my only complaint is that I wish there was more visible definition on her muscles, especially her arms! We need more skin overlays/skin details for buff ladies in the sims 4 cc community.

Gonna go on a lil rant, apologies to people following me for fandom.

I've given the fuck up creating myself in video games. They don't have half the shit that I am, from a body type to my height to my cane, they don't fucking have ANYTHING that can make the character on-screen close to me.

I know I'm lucky, too. I'm white with straight hair. But I can't make my character my body type. If I can, they have boobs and I'd rather not have a representation of me have boobs (trying to get top surgury rn). I can't nail the hair down (I have extremely long hair). I can't change the height (I'm short. Granted, I'm lucky there too because I'm within the average height). I can't give my character a fucking cane.

You won't believe how many character creators get only some of these down.

The Sims 4, I can get four of the listed things right, five if I set the gender to male and give myself dysphoria just to give my character a flat chest.

Stardew Valley, I can get two. My body type isn't average, so the one girl style doesn't work. They don't have an option for a fucking cane despite there being a disabled character (which SDV does shitty things with. No, you cannot touch a wheelchair without permission and you certainly cannot move someone in a wheelchair without permission! Wtf?!). The height is unchangable.

BG3, I can get one thing right: my fucking skin color. That's it! No cane, no fucking other body option other than "thin with boobs, muscle man, muscle woman, and very muscle man." What the fuck am I supposed to do?!

This isn't even getting into the in-game issues! THIS IS THE FUCKING CHARACTER CREATOR.

It's so bad I don't even make myself. I make an OC of mine.

AND I STILL RUN INTO ISSUES BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE GOOD CURLY HAIR OPTIONS!

I've given up so much that I'm making an OC by default and still fail to get the hair right!

And I'm STILL lucky because I can get one thing right. Some people can't even get THAT.

I need mods to get things right. Mods that can't always be reliable if a game is always updating because I'll need to update the mods, which can be a hassle even if they have an updated verison out.

I shouldn't need mods to make myself in a game.

I shouldn't need mods to fix the ableism, anti-fat, anti-enby, racism, sexism, and intersexism.

I should just be able to make myself. End of story.

First of all, I'm Christian. I think it's important to clarify this right off the top so we're clear on how this blog goes and how I go. I'm Christian and really value my faith, I'm rather vocal about it, so that's within basically everything I do. I'm a Librarian! And a writer! I have an insane amount of projects going on now (you can call me a workaholic lol). I'm an enthusiast for Library Sciences and topics related to information, organization, books! Everything Info Science is on my radar, so I'll be probably talking about that or linking my other blog with texts about that. Feel free (and please do) to ask me about those things!

As for the Writer part, I'm a fantasy writer, with about 3 to 4 different sagas going on inside my head and very little written about them 🤡 I'm trying to get better at that as to be able to actually have something to show people rather than loose drafts. I'm also an enthusiast for short stories so I'll be eventually posting drabbles about random themes!

That's actually the whole point of this blog, writing.

Super Junior and other kpop subjects; 🤩 I'm ELF, yeah, I did write a handful of fanfics about SJ so I'll link them at my catalog, though I don't write those anymore. I do talk about them tho;

Hm, idk, the color blue, art, sea and storms (huge fan of those), random reblogs about aesthetic stuff, photography, museums, wtv. If you can't tell I have major hyperfixes in random things.

I do think of myself as an artist and I've been considering and not doing things like this blog for way too long. This is my try at making it work. I do write and post on other platforms (you can navigate through them on the buttons on the top of my blog - on desktop view - or on the links on my soon to be pinned post) but they don't usually take lengthy (I really like this word) posts like Tumblr can so HERE AM I.

Our main sims story in an organized way and from the beginning (when we start it in 2021 on Twitter) although here it will be only in English (We also write it in Spanish, you can go to our blogger if you want to read it in that language to know what is written here in case you have problems with English and you're interested), so whoever wants can read it. It won't have the same amount of images that Blogger has per publication (since we can't publish more than 30 here) but it will have all the story and separated by the parts that are necessary. So uh, I guess I owe an explanation of where I've been?

To make a very long story short, I started making a tattoo mod for a sims version of my Cyberpunk 2077 V (Venatrix) because I thought that would be fun. What started initially as what was just going to be some cathartic playing around in the sims with an OC led me to re-downloading Cyberpunk for some textures ... and then it occurred to me 'well why don't I make the tattoo in Cyberpunk FIRST so it's higher resolution?' It was kind of a downhill tumble from there.

In two months modding for Cyberpunk I have learned an insane amount of stuff, namely, teaching myself Blender and then modeling physics rigged hair from scratch with custom textures (which was absolutely insane btw, given there's no tutorials on hair for Cyberpunk - I need to write one) ... so uh yeah! I'm a multi-game modder now!

I'm going to keep Kery-Sims separate as my Sims exclusive handle for any mods and community interaction - I kind like being able to filter my tumblr dash by content anyways.

But if you're interested in my other modding adventures/general gaming talk, you can check out that blog @chipped-chimera. I also have my art blog @kerynean which features the art above - one of the custom tattoos I drew for my tattoo set in Cyberpunk.

I'm excited to bring my knew knowledge and confidence with Blender over to the sims 4 (especially now S4S open beta works with Blender 3.6) especially with making custom hair and meshes.

If your WIP was a video game, what type of game would it be?

as a certified Game Enthusiast™️ (according to my friends), I won't allow myself the benefit of going typical RPGs for both Den and Witch because I love talking about games and I'd like to think I'm well-versed enough to think of cool game ideas and RPG is an incredibly broad term that can mean Animal Crossing or Digimon Cyber Sleuth or Lego Batman 3.

Demons in the Den |

a top-down hack'n'slash game akin to Unsighted and Hades. I'd say more like Unsighted since this wouldn't be a roguelike. there would definitely be Metroidvania elements because exploration and attaining character abilities is awesome. plus having bosses you can challenge out of order or straight up ignore is always fun. I'd also say that you'd play the game as a pair (Mara and Aliah) and you can switch which of them you'd like to play as but also there's also parts where you're locked into one.

Memories with the Witch |

likely a life management sim with RPG elements. think Stardew Valley and Rune Factory type games. newer examples include the Atelier series and Moonlighter (but it's also a roguelike). the main game loop would be like Stardew or Moonlighter where you do daily business things and use the rest of the time for other things you wanna do. roguelike/roguelite features might be cool since Lyzandir can fulfill that role, but it's iffy if I want it to be more like a life sim. it's also kind of hard to incorporate all the characters because so much time passes, so I'd need to focus either on Lyzandir's time (more life sim) or Lucille's time (more action RPG)

WIP Intro: Memories with the Witch

Title (Tentative): Memories with the Witch

Genres/Themes: fantasy, slice of life, kinda-romance?, short chapters, D&D-inspired, found family

Status: Ongoing!

Synopsis:

Lyzandir has dealt with his poor memory for as long as he can remember. Just today, his best friend gifted him a journal to keep track of things, like how he stumbled upon a witch in the forest. The two set off to recollect his lost memories. Despite finally doing so, nothing changes.

And so Lyzandir continues his days alongside the witch.

Sailor Moon - Girls that are pretty and girly and tough enough to fight monsters. They’re all friends that stick together and every girl has her own personality and value. As a preteen girl I was sold, as there weren’t comparable shows on TV.

It got me into drawing and making up my own OCs and stories, occasionally I drew my own short comics too.

PWI - my first mmorpg, a friend introduced me and then I met my hubs there. Pretty life changing, I’d say.

The Sims 4 - though I played all iterations more or less, it was 4 that got me finally into more than just drafting stories I’d never write. NBHT has it’s 5th anniversary coming on June 15th and is still going! Ngl, I’m pretty proud of how far I’ve come with it and how much I learned while writing this story.

I can’t think for the life of me of a 4th specific media; in general music made me meet my first close friends but it’s no specific genre/artists so I wouldn’t know what picture to use.
