if he's always returned to his body, then should the opportunity arise, securing that body somewhere he's not likely to be easily rescued from, or to escape from, may prove at least a somewhat more long term solution.

I'm still not entirely opposed to seeing if we can't just teleport him to the opposite side of the universe, but he'd not only become someone else's problem, but eventually find his way back. and despite his new rank, I'm not entirely certain it wouldn't be with another army.

That is, of course, assuming it'd affect him at all.

I doubt it'd work. Not for lack of faith in your ability, I simply... doubt.
