I am obsessed with Sauron projecting his toxic and bumpy relationship with Melkor onto that dark web of manipulation he weaves with Celebrimbor. He expects Tyelpë to be as unstable, unreliable, chaotic, cold and heartless as Melkor could be, and is fairly certain that deep down Tyelpë is as ready to betray him as he does Tyelpë. And when Tyelpë shows him genuine love, kindness and, unwittingly, empathy, there is an urge within Sauron to give into this warmth and to reach out for a real 'human' connection. This makes him very confused and angry, at it forces all that bottled-down anger towards Melkor to surface. But then Tyelpë would unknowingly repeat Sauron's lies he has already told him, call him Annatar, and that would bring Sauron back on track.

Later, in Sauron's pits of torture, Tyelpë would laugh hysterically and tell Sauron, If he was anything like you are, then he had already left you before you even met.

About Celebrimbor’s death...

Since elves can die from being violated, I can’t stop thinking about Celebrimbor, being tortured for months and hearing the call from Mandos like the constant, gentle hum in the back of his mind, whispering to let go, to save yourself from more torment... because, with Sauron, there is always more.

Because Celebrimbor is too stuborn to give up, he refuses, because no matter the pain, no matter the suffering Sauron inflicts onto him, because he feels it in his heart that deep down, Annatar loved him. He refuses to let the love, the hope for it go.

And Annatar Sauron sees it. And he uses it to his advantage, to press and tear Celebrimbor for the information he needs, even when there is tightness in his chest when he laughs at Celebrimbor’s soft “It’s not too late for you yet.” And each time Sauron leaves Celebrimbor’s cell, his stomach is twisting painfully, and thought grows before he can extinguish it that he hopes that Celebrimbor will tell him what he needs next time, so he can finally kill him.

In the end, Sauron kills him after several months, and tells himself it’s because Celebrimbor would not tell him where the three rings, but deep down he knows the real reason.
