Funguary Feb 9 - Silver Leaf Fungus - Ipos
Ipos is an Earl and powerful Duke of Hell who has thirty-six legions of demons under his command. He knows and can reveal all things, past, present and future . He can make humans who summon him witty and valiant. He is commonly associated with both the goose and the lion.
On the other hand, the Daemonic Silver Leaf Fungus is roughly the size of a barnyard gander and is mostly associated with excessive screeching and a tendency to get it's head stuck in commercially designed feeders. Some fanciers have started trying to breed them in patterns such as the Flemish and the Canadian, but with small success. The Daemonic Silver Leaf Fungus feeds on clothing fragments and the psychic energy of causing bruises through nipping.

FOTD #104 : silver leaf! (chondrostereum purpureum)
silver leaf is a fungal disease of trees in the family cyphellaceae. it is a pathogen of various deciduous trees, as well as the rose family rosaceae. it is also commercially available as a mycoherbicide :-)
the big question : can i bite it??
unknown !! but i wouldn't recommend trying to eat a fungal disease, lol.
c. purpureum description :
"after starting as just a crust on the wood, the fruiting structure develops undulating intergrowing brackets up to about 3 cm broad, which have a tough rubbery texture. the edges & fertile lower surfaces show a fairly vivid violet colour while the fungus is growing, & the upper surfaces have a grey aspect (sometimes with zonation and usually a lighter edge) & are covered with whitish hairs. after a week or two the fructification dries out, becomes brittle, & turns a drab brown or beige."

Two views of luxury 🎂. Celebration cakes should always be the embodiment of festivity. And your eyes and taste should create the only acceptable love triangle. Speckled with gold and silver leaf, this birthday cake is topped with sun palm and floral arrangement, completing quite the attractive customer. What do you guys think?
