Day 2: Maglor for @feanorianweek
Sloth|Diligence
Snapdragon: Snapdragon makes a person appear fascinating and cordial according to some people, and in the language of flowers, snapdragons are said to represent both deception and graciousness.
Maglor was laid out to be the kindest of his brothers, which I think just means that he knew how to act around people to get them to like him, as well as him being a singer/musician in a world made of music, where music shapes the world, makes it obvious that he manipulated people (maybe even the world itself in a little scale) for his own benefit.

"Then Felagund upon the head
Of Orodreth set it: 'Brother mine,
till I return this crown is thine.'
Then Celegorm no more would stay,
and Curufin smiled and turned away."
For the @candcweek prompt "Oaths" -> Fëanorian Oath!
This line from the Lay of Leithian has always really stuck with me for some reason. The C&C brainrot is real.

Day 1: Maedhros for @feanorianweek
Pride| Humility
Clematis: Purple Clematis symbolizes intelligence and resilience. If you receive purple clematis, your admirer holds you in high regard. Clematis is also a prideful flower, as well as the color purple which is a royal, prideful, color.
I think Maedhros had a very conflicting relationship with his status. He was born as the second heir to the throne after his father, and when he finally got it, he´s taken hostage, then when he was rescued, he gave it over to his uncle. Most of his time as king was spent as a prisoner of war. The whole idea that he was raised to be a king and then when he gets it it´s taken from him and he has to learn to be a war lord instead, not a war king, but a lord. Then he chooses to go to Himring and in a way starts acting like a king, The Union of Maedhros most noticeable, or at least a high prince, and I don´t doubt that most of Feanor´s followers see him as their king till the end of the first age.

for quite some time now ive wanted to redesign some of my existing maiar designs as well as give proper designs to some ive never really bothered with before, so here's some updated fullbody concepts! im happiest with mairon's honestly, but i really like the idea of olorin being a haggled, minimalistic shepherd who walks around valinor covered in dirt HAHAHAH
i also wanted to explore some of their potential dynamics with each other 😙 esp eonwe-ilmare and mairon-arien as siblings so these are just some quick doodles cuz my neck is in pa i n
compiled fullbody ref sheet under the cut 💃

Day 3 of @feanorianweek: experimenting with strawberry-blond hair for Celegorm. I think it suits him.
(the scars look dramatic but they're actually from a regrettable incident with a weasel)
