Alright impulse started Dresden files bc I bought one of the books and now im cured of my ennui

My mom and sister and niece went to a baseball game yesterday, and posted a million pictures all over the internet. Like, I don't begrudge them having a fun mother's day outing, and like... I mean obviously it's hard to be involved when you live 1500 miles away.

But they're always going places together, and meanwhile I don't see or hear from either of them for weeks or months on end. Like I just went two solid months without even a text from my mom.

I realized when I went to visit them in April how lonely I am and how much I miss being around family, and this shit just doesn't help. They say "oh yeah we'll come visit you" and that's absolute bullshit. I left Colorado five years ago and my mom has visited me one time and that's it. And that's only because the CSO was playing one of her favorite symphonies.

I literally didn't even get a birthday card from either of them for my 40th birthday, which I will never ever get over, so like... idk just seeing them always doing fun things together really hurts my feelings. You know?
