It was during the renaissance period, that jewelry spread widely, across european countries.The world had become connected through trade routes, that subsquently, brought together different civilizations.The raw materials could be more accessible, and pieces of jewelry became more available.

Meantime, as the world had access to other cultures, jewelry become more popular and they were handcrafted in diferent styles. Those jewelry pieces, could be influenced, for instance, in the baroque or gothic style.

Regarding this facts, this necklace was created inspired in the renaissance era.

Brass necklace handcrafted with "So Gusari" chainmail weave pattern.

In my opinion, the victorian romantic period, it was one of the most beautiful and inspirational periods in jewelry design. There was a revival from the renaissance and medieval periods, and all jewelry was handcrafted.

Following the marriage of the Queen to Prince Albert, jewelry had a much more profound meaning. It was in fact, the symbolism of love, friendship and faith that influenced the designs of jewelry.

Inspired in this beautiful romantic period, i handcrafted this portuguese tile necklace.

One of the most important jewelry items, during the Renaissance Era, was the pendant. In fact, pendants could be the initial of the person who wored it, or even, portraits painted in enamel.

Adicionally, fruit, folliage and arabesque motifs, were also very famous. Jewelry were crafted in bright colors, and were very beautiful.

This lovely pentagon flowers necklace was created inspired in the renaissance era.

The victorian era, was of great influence to the history of jewelry design. Actually, the Queen´s image and fashion style, spread widely throught out the world.

Jewelers and artisans, produced great quantities of new items for the Queen to wear. For instance to use on celebrations and events, such as birthdays, marriages or births of children.

It seems to me that, it was the most happiest time of Queen´s Victoria life. This delicate and enchanting heart pendant necklace, was created inspired in this period.
