I’ve been thinking a lot about what Laios would do for a living in a modern day au - I’ve seen some theorizing about how his love of monsters/ecology/nature would make him a good biologist. Which is true! But I personally could see him being just Some Guy, maybe a college or even a highschool drop out, who joined and then left the army, working random odd jobs like dish washer/mover/warehouse worker. He visits his college going sibling falin who is so concerned she decides to dropout (even though she only has a bit of schooling left and coincidentally is working to become a biologist/career inspired by something laios suggested once) and get an apartment with him because he’s practically homeless and in a rough state. Then they both get a job at the same place, like for instance….. a card/game shop perhaps?? Or even something that sells funky pops and wall scrolls side by side you know! Maybe even ran by the short and super young looking chilchack whose “secretly” a good boss/cares about his employees?? 🤔🤔
Like I just think laios would be just some guy who ends up discovering a rich world outside of trying to pay rent in this world in creating his own characters and worlds in things like dnd and the furry fandom. He is a great artist although members of his tabletop group don’t always appreciate him making their characters or themselves fursonas …but drawing monstrously beautiful creatures representing someone’s self is practically a love language for him so they accept it however begrudgingly.

I wasn't tagged, nobody knows me, anyway, here's a fuck it friday I guess
It's an outline of my shop owners au because I will implode if I don't talk about it but I don't have anything outside of this yet so
Buck has an established book shop in an alley of LA
He took it over from Bobby and turned it into a queer book shop
At first it was pretty rough but he managed to turn the neighbourhood around and it's now one of thoose "secret" recommended places
Eddie moves there and opens a cafè
Buck doesn't enjoy this new man in his neighbourhood at all. Cue the peacocking he was doing in season 2 compounded with absolutely ignoring the man
Chris visits the book shop and keeps telling Buck stories of his family and his father (absolutely not to mingle at all. Who? Christopher Diaz? Never. He's just..looking for book recommendations)
Chris and Buck bond over obscure knowledge and books because of course they would
Buck also continues to complain about the cafè shop owner who has the audacity to be hot, have a comfy seeming cafè and an unfairly gentle smile. How dare he
(Maddie makes fun of him. Absolutely drags this poor bisexual)
One day Chris brings about his father, who he has praised to heaven and back, which has endured him to good-father-who Evan Buckley
Oh shock, it is Eddie, unfairly hot cafè owner from across the street
Buck struggles with connecting his "hatred" (deeply supressed attraction) to the figure that Chris has painted
Guess who can't really ignore the man anymore. And who quickly changes the way he saw said man as they grow to be closer and closer friends.
During absolutely-not-date family nights, lamenting about the economy and the struggles of a book owner and movies, the two become zhe absolute idiots ignoring their love that they are in the show
(I thought to maybe add a bit where Buck sells "dates with books" at Eddies cafè to boost both their sales)
Buck, a walking bi disaster and shove-emotions-deep-down gay Eddie ignore the blooming live between them so hard. What do you mean it is not normal to spent days at your friends house, trying to teach them to cook and slow dancing to songs?
Eventually, they can't really avoid it anymore. Or well, they would, but the teasing is getting so obvious
This ends in a really sweet confession. Late night sort of thing, in the cafè, complaining about how they wanted to do it first
They absolutely become the annoyingly sweet couple and move their buisnesses together. Married couple energy that's still deeply in live after 4 years

No version of Neil/Nathaniel is easy to break - there’s a lot of persuasion involved in Evermore Kingdom’s quest for their next butcher to do his work without a fight.

Lovers in the Night
Summary: two lovers of different worlds. One of peace, one of danger, but the love is still there. Comforting one another turns into a sad promise. POV: 2nd POV Pronouns: Gender Neutral Admin/Writer: Kai⚔️ Tags: Jade Leech, Mafia Jade, fluff turned slightly angst, romance, already developed relationship Word Count: 978
Tumblr media
Jade cautiously walked around. He remained vigilant with a calm smile on his face as he walked through town. His eyes would dart towards anything suspicious or any sudden sounds, until he reached a certain shop. It seemed that it only opened in the middle of the night.
He held an umbrella over his head and, to the few passing strangers, all they could see was that calm demeanor he carried. The night was filled with the sounds of sprinkling rain splashing on the ground or the windows in the streets. He was heading somewhere, and the only thing passersby could think was to get out of his way. To those that recognized him, on the other hand, froze and quickly stepped aside without looking directly into his eyes.
A bell rang as he opened the door to the shop. The strong aroma of coffee and the sounds of grinded coffee beans dripping into empty cups greeted him.
"Jade! You're here…"
A voice so sweet to his ears caught his attention. At that moment, his head turned towards its direction. That voice came from you, and it warmed that calm, chilling smile into a genuine one.
Jade sat down at his normal spot, a stool at the front counter, and a cup of coffee was sitting right in front of him faster than he could blink. He looked up to meet the only pair of eyes that could help him relax. These eyes that changed his calm demeanor so easily, they belonged to you.
You smiled at him, and you felt your face get hotter when your eyes met. He gave a silent nod before taking a sip from the ceramic mug. He hummed in content as his eyes closed, and that noise gave you a hint of satisfaction to your work—just like it always did.
“Your coffee doesn't change at all, does it?” Jade asked after a few more moments of silence. You were cleaning the used utensils, and his sudden question made you jump a little from surprise.
“Well, how could I change it?” You responded after a few seconds of ppndering over his words. You continued to clean the dishes, and Jade only responded with a laugh. After what felt like forever, a clink was heard, then the scrapes of a moving chair reached your ears.
Once you turned around, your body was met with a firm grip around your waist, and Jade held your head against him. The atmosphere suddenly became solemn and tense. It was as if he was trying to protect the moment that was being shared in this small bubble that you considered your shop.
You were confused at first, then your mind suddenly understood what he was trying to portray with such a gesture. You hugged him in return and simply smiled at the warmth of his embrace.
You remained quiet for a while, and you just let him give you his silent affection. If you tried to pull back from his embrace, his arms and hands only pulled you tighter against him. These actions could only make you smile more, and a small laugh escaped your lips every time.
Your laugh made Jade smile, and he let out a quiet breath of relaxation.
“What’s with all this?” You asked him, and he instantly shook his head. He slowly pulled away a little to take a look at your face.
Shortly after, you felt his lips against yours in a gentle kiss. His hold on you became protective again, and your heart that was warm from the gesture slowly filled with dread. A few moments passed by, then you pulled back with a caring smile.
“Nothing at all? Jade Leech, I know you. Is it… your job?” You asked again as you looked into his eyes. Instantly, his expression, once filled with love for you, turned to one of seriousness mixed with defeat at how you figured him out.
You sighed softly at his reaction and looked away from his eyes. You began to feel worry, and anxiety rose within you. That ominous dread was becoming overwhelming, and you couldn’t help but become visibly frustrated.
You knew what Jade did for a living. He was the underboss of the country’s biggest mafia. This came with him being busy and gone for weeks, sometimes months, on end. He would come to this cafe to see you. Although, most of the time, seeing him consisted of treating his wounds for him. You didn’t like it, but he promised you that he'll always be safe.
Jade noticed your reaction and gently took your chin in between his fingers, making you look at him with a bittersweet expression.
“Hey, you know that no matter the case, I will protect you. I promise. Even if it is the last thing I do—”
“Don’t say that.” You interrupted him. A sigh left you as you tried to gather your words. “I don’t want to hear anything that has something to do with ‘last’ coming out of your mouth. We talked about this. You know that I don’t like it.”
Jade sighed in defeat and nodded slowly, “Right. Then, let’s just enjoy the time we have. Why don’t we?” He was gentle again, and he started to relax before he hugged you again. You let out a breath, hugging him in return, and relaxing against his body.
As the night continued, the rain grew stronger and so did the feelings you had for one another. You didn’t let him go as your arms grew tighter around him. Jade placed a few kisses on your head to bring you some comfort. A stranger could tell that the feelings of a strong love were shared, and it was only natural. I mean… no one knew if, one day, the lovers would be lost to the dark of the night.

Good Omens academic au
Crowley as the eccentric astronomy/physics professor at a university.
Tumblr media
Aziraphale as either librarian or theology professor at the same university.
Tumblr media
They meet and argue over the ineffableness of the universe. Crowley and Aziraphale have the same conversation about Earth that they do at the beginning of s2 ep1. They fall in love through arguments and academic debates adoring the other's intelligence. Everyone else around them [mostly students] is placing bets on whether or not they are together. Some say they're married others say they despise each other but ultimately they never find out that the professors are actually too emotionally inept dorks who love each other but think the other person doesn't care but they will take any contact they can get so they argue and debate about the same topics.

Maggie is the music student to whom Aziraphale is renting an apartment and Nina is the grumpy campus coffee shop owner.

hello helloo! i just read through your modern au and I'm in love (shocker), i wanted to ask if you'd give some more info on poppy? apologies if there's already a dedicated post to her, looking is not my specialty
there is not! i will gladly ramble!
~
in this au, Poppy is slightly less fearful than canon. this is for several reasons! 1) years of therapy. 2) anxiety meds. 3) teenage years of her friends dragging her out for Shenanigans & hyping her tf up! but she's still a worrywart! she's very cautious! she can and Will see the bad/dengerous side to every situation. but! now she has the tools to not only cope with but combat her intrusive thoughts & fears <3
i think i mentioned it before but she Did Not Realize she was trans until highschool! specifically, when she met Sally! Poppy had to stop by the theater department after school for some reason or another, and Sally noticed her looking longingly at the costume dresses (Poppy thought she was alone lol)
and while Poppy was mortified at being caught, Sally was delighted. they only knew each other in passing and from reputation but Sally started holding up dresses to Poppy and complimenting how well they suited her. (i could joke about how Sally could sniff out the lesbian in her before Poppy even knew she was a girl!) Poppy, flustered by the sudden attention and apparent acceptance, didn't know how to handle it and fled. then started avoiding Sally in the halls. but! eventually she had to go back for Insert Reason Here, and ofc Sally was there. this time around Sally is a little gentler and less assertive, but manages to coax Poppy into checking out the more ~feminine~ costumes again. thus begins their little meetings where Poppy tries on costumes and Sally is her biggest hypeman
it takes a while for things to Click in Poppy's mind! it isn't until she tries on a dress that Sally custom-made for her, wearing some makeup and a wig, that Poppy has her oh moment. unfortunately, some of their ~mutual friends~ (Wally, Barnaby, Howdy) walk in on them. there's a short, terrifying moment where Wally is all "who's your friend, Sally?" and Barnaby has to lean over to let him know "that's Poppy, bud". before Poppy can fully freak out, Wally immediately goes OH! and starts complimenting how pretty she looks. Barnaby chimes in next to ask if the dress is home-made bc it fits Poppy beautifully, Howdy nabs a necklace from the nearby gathered accessories and put it on her to "tie the outfit together". in short! Poppy finds nothing but support from her buddies & they're more than happy to help her figure out this new internal crisis / revelation
then of course eventually she's found out by her family, which goes very well (im using sarcasm! it goes terribly!). Poppy isn't outright disowned or kicked out or in immediate danger, but her relationship with her family is ruined by their transphobic bigotry. her friends have her back throughout this, and the guest room at the Beagle farm is always open to her! Sally continues to make custom clothes for Poppy (something that becomes a love language for the two of them <3).
honestly, this period in Poppy's life is part of what like... idk... strengthens her, in a way? her continuing to be herself and actively rebelling against her family, i mean. Poppy becomes a pretty stellar liar lol (lying to her parents about where she's going, who she's hanging out with, what she does after school, etc). she's very cautious about all of it, but she does it! she's determined to pursue and discover and Realize the woman inside her! i have this sweet scene in my mind of the Group at the Beagle farm chilling on the floor with notebooks, brainstorming on possible names. (Sally enthusiastically says a variation of 'exquisite' to each one, and then when Poppy says 'im not sure about that one' Sally - still enthusiastically - says a variation of 'horrible terrible how could you suggest such an ill-fitting name'). despite everyone's efforts, i like to think that Poppy finds her name entirely on accident! maybe during the Gap Year Road Trip! maybe they stop by a SoCal poppy reserve in superbloom and the flowers Resonate with her! who's to say!
but Poppy begins her (medical) transition in college! she, of course, gets shit for it, but she also begins to find community and enjoyment in the local queer community. and of course, she has her buddies <3
but anyway! i like to think that Poppy participates in local farmer's markets with her crochet work & baked goods, the latter of which is a complete hit! that, plus her first experience with going to a tearoom inspires her to strive towards owning her own! tearooms are right up her alley, i'd say - calm, quiet, and Poppy can make peoples' days a little brighter with a tranquil atmosphere & delicious treats! i swear i have a reason between 'Poppy british = she goes into tea business'. honestly! tearooms are more about the tiny sammies & tasty cones w/ cream! and feeling Fancy while chatting!
i think it takes a while for her to actually be able to start up a tearoom. I'd imagine she starts by holding a small, single-table reservation-based one in her own place once the Group decides on what town to move to. it's successful, slowly (but steadily) grows, until she can get an actual House and transform the ground floor into a full tearoom. lil shop by the checkout counter, several different rooms, a sizeable kitchen. staff! the tearoom is a humble one, but it's a killer holiday & tourist destination! the high ratings even bring in people from out of town!
and when it comes to Poppy & Sally, bc yall know i'm a sucker for Popstar - i like to think that they start dating after (mostly) all of them move into their new town. & after they both have been in prior relationships! and then they never stop dating. well, they do, but that's so that they can upgrade to Wife Status. and then they never stop being wives so there <3
but Poppy is successful and happy! she had a rough go of it but she Makes It! and she continues to make it!
#i hope this Suffices!#ofc the ~lore~ in my mind is a lil more complex#but its Too Much to fully write out yk yk#giving her a tearoom was uhhhhh a bit of Personal Indulgence i will admit!#i used to have a tradition with my mother/grandma/sister where we'd all go to a tearoom once a year#but then grammie bit the dust (or rather - got turned into it) and that tradition uh. kinda stopped#i have very fond memories! i'd like to go to one again someday! perhaps with friends!#so when i was thinking 'what modern day profession would suit poppy' i do think owning a high english tearoom would fit#theres also just a level of personal influence to that ahaha#also if i went to a nice tearoom and the owner was a gorgeous 6'8 woman. ough. thats all im gonna say about it. ough <3#rambles from the bog#wh modern human au#sally likes to waltz into the tearoom while poppy is working to buy One (one) little box of tea and also flirt over the counter for an hour#and there's an upstairs room reserved for Poppy & her friends!!#it's free for them to use at any time!#though they still always pay. they have a lil game with poppy where she tries her best to refuse#but they manage to sneak the payment past her anyway#or they so happen to 'leave a tip that just so happens to be the exact payment' on their chair#on top of the tearoom she also supplies some baked goods for Howdy's shop#it was something they started when she was first getting her lil business off the ground#it evolves into just 'poppy bakes a batch of muffins as her morning ritual and sends them to howdys'#she supplies more when she can! or when she stress bakes! or when she and frank stress bake together! the entire group gets fresh tasties!

A Brutal Life Series: Part One - The Right Direction
Tumblr media
Part One: The Right Direction
Summary: A friend points you in, hopefully, the right direction of finding out who’s been sending you harassing emails.
A/N: Welcome to “A Brutal Life” Series! I just wanna say that I had fun writing this and I hope you all enjoy this new series! This is a multi-fandom series, so you’ll see various characters from different fandoms strewn throughout! The green divider was made by @saradika.
Warnings: First, this is 18+! Minors DNI or you will be blocked! Warnings to look out for but are not limited to include: mentions of being harassed; mentions of implied stalking; Jake Jensen (he’s a warning okay!); mentions of smoking; there are characters with tattoos & piercings, I know not everyone finds them appealing, but quite a few of the main characters will have them; and I think that’s everything. I apologize if I missed anything but you are responsible for what you read and your own social media consumption. I do not claim to be a professional writer, any and all mistakes are my own; nothing is beta read.

The store bell chimed as you entered the quaint computer shop. You nervously glanced around the shop and as you did, you noticed all of the various computer accessories and parts being neatly displayed for customers. For a second, you nearly chickened out and walked right back out the door, but you needed to do this, you needed answers. You tightly held onto the bag containing your laptop and took a deep breath as you continued to look around the store. You weren’t exactly sure what you were expecting when you walked into the shop, maybe something a little more extravagant? But you were glad that it wasn’t, you were hoping that you would get to work closely with whoever would be working on your laptop to figure out your little problem that you’ve been having recently. Your friend didn’t tell you much, just that this guy might be able to help with what you needed.
The man at the counter caught your attention as you continued to stand by the door and scouted out the shop. He wasn’t exactly what you were expecting either, then again, your friend gave you no description of who you were supposed to be looking for when you got to the shop. You eyed the man up and down, he was covered in tattoos, from his neck down and you found yourself wondering how many the man had on his body. His appearance was intriguing to you and you wondered if this was the guy that was supposed to be helping you. Everything about this man had your mind swirling with thoughts and you mean everything. From his sandy blonde hair that was cut short and neatly kept to his well trimmed goatee and his round, metal framed glasses to even his nose ring had you almost foaming at the mouth. ‘Down girl,’ you told yourself. ‘This isn’t what you’re here for.’ You took a deep breath as you adjusted the bag on your shoulder and walked up to the counter, trying not to let the man intimidate you, even though he wasn’t paying any attention to you. Instead, he was going through a large book, making marks in it every once in a while. He continued to work, even when you reached the counter. So, you quietly cleared your throat before you spoke up.
“Are you able to track emails and such?” You asked nervously, glancing around the shop.
The tattooed man eyed you up and down as he arched a brow. “Ma’am, this is a repair shop.”
You let out an exasperated sigh, glancing down for a moment before looking back up at the man. “I-I was told by a mutual friend that you did things like that on the side? I-I have money.”
The man in front of you narrowed his gaze at you as you mentioned a ‘mutual friend’. “ A mutual friend, eh? And who might that be?”
He stood up straight and at his full height, you couldn’t help but feel extremely small. You would need a ladder to be anywhere near his height. All you could do was look up at him in awe, his arms were crossed in front of his chest and with how tight his under armor shirt was, it accentuated his rather large biceps. You had to shake your head and clear your thoughts once again before you could answer him, after all, you were here for a reason.
“Wanda, Wanda Maximoff.” You said quietly, as if it was some big secret.
A smirk formed on the man’s face and it seemed as if his eyes lit up as you mentioned Wanda. “Ah, you must be the friend she told me about, she said you’d be stopping by.”
You smiled a bit yourself as he mentioned how Wanda told him about you. “Did she say anything else?”
“Not really, just that you were having some trouble and wanted to know if I could help, told her that I would try. So, what’s the problem, sweetheart?” The man asked, a bit more casually.
You tried not to grimace when he called you ‘sweetheart’, the pet name forever ruined by your ex. Instead, you took a small breath and answered him. “Well, I keep receiving harassing emails and I don’t know how to stop them or anything like that. I was wondering if you could help me at least find out where they’re coming from or maybe even who’s sending them? I’ve tried, but I’m pretty inept when it comes to these things.”
The man nodded as you explained, scratching the hair on his chin as he did. “Hmm, I can definitely take a crack at it, it might take me a few days.”
“That’s fine. Do what you have to do and I really don’t have a time frame for when I need it back.” You agreed, looking up at the man with hope in your eyes. Suppressing your feelings about hope - a dirty, four letter word in your book. You gave him a small smile as you became lost in his eyes, a beautiful shade of blue.
“Alright, then.” The man with tattoos said, returning a smile of his own. “So, do you have your equipment with you?”
You nodded your head before you started to pull out your laptop and handed it over to him. The man in front of you carefully took the laptop and placed it on the counter before grabbing a notepad and pen.
Any passwords or login information I may need to know?” He asked as he looked down at you.
“Yeah, here.” You then pulled out a piece of paper that had your information on it from your bag and handed it over to him as well.
You had to take a deep breath as the computer shop repair man took possession of the information. ‘He’s here to help you,’ You reminded yourself, your nerves starting to get to you. ‘Wanda wouldn’t have told you to come here otherwise, if she didn’t trust him and if she didn’t think he could help,’ These thoughts did little to calm your nerves, but you didn’t really have a choice here, you had to trust him. You then realized that you didn’t even know what this man’s name was, since Wanda never told you and he hasn’t even properly introduced himself. To be fair though, you haven’t exactly told him your name yet either.
“Oh, I don’t believe I ever caught your name.” You said quickly, the words jumbled together slightly.
A genuine smile formed on his face as you inquired about his name, and you couldn’t help but notice the pair of dimples that had formed on his cheeks as he smiled.
“It’s Jake, Jake Jensen. And I don’t think I caught yours either, sweetheart.”
You wanted so badly to tell him to not call you ‘sweetheart’, but you didn’t want to come off as rude, so you swallowed back the urge and simply introduced yourself to him. Jake’s smile grew as you told him your name, watching you as you tucked a piece of hair behind your ear, an act he found rather endearing. Now that you had handed over your laptop, all you had to do was wait for Jake to work his magic.
Tumblr media
An exhausted huff escaped your lips as you closed the apartment door behind you, you were glad to finally be home. Your thoughts were muddled and you really wondered if Jake could figure out this mystery for you or not. You wanted to hope for the best, but you also didn’t want to get them too high just to have them dashed.
“So, how’d it go at the computer shop?” Your train of thoughts were broken by Wanda’s question.
You gave Wanda a weak smile as you turned your attention towards her. She had stopped painting her toenails and you could tell just by the way she was looking at you that she was trying to tell if you were okay and if something had happened today. You pushed the current thoughts aside as you went to join her on the couch, sitting down next to her and placing your purse on the floor.
“It went alright, said he was gonna do what he could to help.” You answered as you looked at the color that Wanda had chosen, it was a pretty navy blue color.
Wanda nodded her head at your reply, a small smirk formed on her mouth as she asked her next question. “So, what did you think about Jake?”
“Definitely not what I was expecting. How come you never told me about him?” You inquired, wondering what her excuse could be.
Wanda shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. “Jake is a relatively newer friend, I met him a few years ago while you were still with him.”
You grimaced as she mentioned your ex, you weren’t exactly the greatest friend during that time period. But when things went south with him, you were just grateful that she opened up her arms and her home to you once again.
“Right. Have I told you how sorry I am about all of that recently? And that I promise that nothing like that will never, and I mean, never happen again.” You said, giving Wanda your best puppy dog eyes.
“You’re a goober, you know that? And besides, I know it won’t because the next time you’re with a guy, I’m gonna make sure that he’s not a narcissistic asshole.” Wanda said, letting out a small laugh as she shook her head, before getting up and walking over to the kitchen.
You couldn’t help but laugh at the way she was walking after just painting her toenails. She was walking quickly and on the ball of her feet. You glanced down at the couch cushion, thinking about what Wanda had just said. She didn’t need to worry about you dating anyone any time soon, because after what you just went through with your ex, you would be fine if you never dated again.
“Oh, and if you think Jake wasn’t what you were expecting, wait till you meet Bucky, his business partner!” Wanda called out to you from the kitchen, breaking you from your thoughts once again.
You looked over at Wanda, tilting your head as you did, your curiosity growing. “Wanda, where did you meet these guys?”
“Well,” Wanda started as she opened her can of soda before walking back over to the couch and joining you again. “That is an excellent question.” Wanda paused as she took a drink of her soda. “Actually, Jake and I were set up on a blind date, but we both thought we were better off as friends after the second date. As for Bucky, well, I would occasionally drop off lunch for Jake at the shop and that’s how I met him. Now we’re all just really good friends.”
“Wait, you and Jake dated?” You asked, you don’t know why, but a small wave of disappointment washed over you.
Wanda arched a brow as she looked at you. “For a bit, but it wasn’t anything serious.” The two of you looked at each other as Wanda paused for a moment. You saw the smirk form on her as she asked another question. “Why? Are you interested in Jake?”
“What?! Don’t be absurd, Wanda! I think I’m set on dating to last me a lifetime.” You answered, your words quickly falling out of your mouth and you started to pick at the couch cushion.
“You know, it’s okay if you are, in fact, I would one-hundred percent support it. I think you and Jake would be good together.” Wanda said, her smirk now a full blown smile.
You shook your head adamantly as Wanda made the suggestion. “Oh no, trust me, I’m good. Thank you, but I’m gonna pass. I think I’m gonna focus on me for the next foreseeable future.”
Wanda playfully rolled her eyes as she took another drink of her soda. You knew that she didn’t believe you, and you were probably fooling yourself, but you wanted to at least try to focus on yourself.
“Whatever you say, Foxy.” Wanda teased, calling you by the nickname she bestowed upon you years ago when you first met.
“So, how about dinner?” I’m starving.” You suggested, trying to do anything to change the subject. “Do you want me to make something or do you want to go out?”
“I know what you’re doing, Foxy, but I can take a hint. How about going out? I’ve been craving something nice and greasy.” Wanda answered, a knowing look on her face.
Tumblr media
The two of you settled for a nearby pizza place called Papa Joe’s. When Wanda first introduced you to the place, you were a bit skeptical of the place since it was such a hole in the wall pizzeria. But it turned out to actually be really good and it quickly became one of your favorite places to eat at. However, tonight felt different and as you and Wanda entered the restaurant, you paused as you held the door open for her. You glanced around the nearby area and you couldn’t help but feel as if you were being watched. A feeling you, unfortunately, have become acquainted with as a part of your day-to-day life.
“Hey, Foxy, you okay?” Wanda asked as she turned around, once she realized that you weren’t next to her any longer.
You scanned the area once more, but nothing caught your attention. So, you shook off the feeling the best that you could and turned towards Wanda, giving her a small smile. “Yeah, of course. Come on, let’s get some food!”
The door to the pizzeria closed behind you as you entered and you and Wanda claimed one of the empty booths. However, just down the street was a black Buick with tinted windows and the driver of the vehicle smirked as he watched you enter the pizza joint. He took a puff off of his tobacco pipe as he watched, feeling pleased that he had found you at last. As he exhaled the smoke from his lungs, it filled the space in front of him and slowly moved upwards. He took another puff and slowly exhaled the smoke once more before he started his car and drove off.

the real question in this is who has the bookstore and who has the cafe
Obviously Buck has the bookstore. That man reads non fiction for the obscure facts and fiction for the escapism
Eddie may suck at cooking but if that man doesn't live off of coffee with a hint of spite I don't know
