💌💌💌 your pick! @ratasum
Free space romance asks for ya coming right up :D
💌 - Kerra, Nisha, and Canach have this like. ongoing competition thing where they pick a random time (not in the middle of anything important) and do their absolute best to fluster the shit out of each other with the smallest actions possible. Nisha almost always "loses" because xe's the easiest to fluster, but that does not mean xe has any less fun with it.
💌 - The main reason Cal ends up involved in the entire GW1 story plot is because of Daisy. They'd left Istan and meant to travel as much of the world as possible, eventually reached Ascalon, and ran smack into a very good reason to stay put. On the other hand, Cal's the main reason that Daisy travels as much as she does. She would eventually have had to leave Ascalon regardless thanks to the Searing, but she likely would have settled in Kryta, not traveled half the world to deal with threats in Cantha and Elona.
💌 - Cio and Ari both attend the All-Legions Rally at the start of Icebrood, and Cio absolutely takes the chance to show off her sharpshooter skills at the target range with the flying platforms. Ari's just watching from the ground with the most enamored expression the entire time.

Pre-relationship 2, 7, Love 7, 12 for cio/ari!
Oh yay, questions about Them!! I am very down, thank you so much @sylvari-bouquet :D
(Some HoT spoilers below!)
2. What was their first impression of each other?
They didn’t officially meet for a while, so their first impression of each other was from a distance during the fight with Zhaitan. Cio’s first impression of Ari was basically “ah, you’re a pilot, and you’re very tall.” Ari’s first impression of Cio was “huh, that’s an asura with a very large gun. Neat.”
They don’t actually talk to each other until they’re put on the same airship to fly into Maguuma, at which point their impression of each other changes to “person who’s a pain in my ass.” Cio’s in the cockpit working on faulty cannon controls, and it’s making a lot of noise. Ari snaps at her, and they’re still arguing when the explosions start. They jump into action at that point, but they can’t keep their ship from falling out of the sky.
When they wake up in the wreckage, they’re the only two left alive from their ship, and they have to rely on each other to survive. A bit of a rough start for a friendship, but they never hated each other. And considering that they end up dating each other, I’d say it worked out pretty well.
(Side note, one of the many fics I have ideas for is one describing how they meet/how they get through the jungle, and this made me really excited to write it :D )
7. What would their lives be like if they had never met?
Ooh, hmm. In that case, they’d have been on different ships going into Maguuma, and it’s likely one or the other (or both) would have died. In the case that they both survived, Ari would be a lot more self-destructive and would eventually throw herself into a battle she couldn’t win. Cio would most likely stay alive, but it would take her a lot longer to cross the line from outward confidence to inwardly being comfortable with herself, if she crossed it at all.
7. What are their favorite things to do together?
Some of their favorite things include stargazing (and telling each other their constellation names are wrong, and subsequently making up new ones together) and coming up with new modifications for airships (Ari’s not an engineer like Cio, but she loves to fly, and they can bounce ideas off each other for hours).
(Also, this isn’t their favorite thing, but they’re really damn good at fighting together. If you go up against both of them, you’ll probably die.)
12. What kind of nicknames do they call each other?
When they first meet, they don’t know each other’s names. It’s possible they were told before boarding the airship, but if they were, neither of them remembers. Cio calls Ari “Furball” (‘cause, ya know, she’s kinda a giant cat), and Ari calls Cio “Sparks” (because of her hair and because she was working on the malfunctioning, sparking control panel). Even once they learn each other’s names, the nicknames stick, and they pop back up--at first when they’re especially annoyed with each other, but they slowly turn into terms of endearment instead.

The storm of questions has come!
Pre-relationship 3 and 7 for rel/trahearne
General 4 and 8 for cio/ari
Love 10 and 13 for kerra/nisha/canach
bonus for whoever you'd like! Domestic Life 9
:D
-uselessidiotsquad-
Question storm! :D Thanks @uselessidiotsquad :)
All right, let’s get started!
Rel/Trahearne
3. Did any of their friends or family want them to get together?
Aasdfjas;dfaf oh my god, best question, because the answer is absolutely yes. Kerra is the main one--they both think they’re being subtle, but since she can literally tell what they’re feeling, they’re about the farthest thing from subtle to her. Not to mention that they both talk to her about each other like they’re on a soap opera. Caithe is a close second; she knows her brother, and she can recognize when he’s in love. So she’s just kind of sitting over there in a corner like “I’m aware that you’re both being idiots about this but I have to wait it out and it’s killing me.” It scares Nisha at first, but once xe gets to know Trahearne, xe’s a lot less scared and a lot more happy.
Everything else is below the cut because I decided to write a decently-sized answer to the next question, lol! (HoT spoilers below.)
7. What would their lives be like if they had never met?
(My fault for asking you this same one, haha.) Hmm...them not meeting would likely mean that Rel never left Nisha and the Priory. That would have been terrible for his mental health, and he would likely not have met Kerra, either, which would have been bad for her, too. Eventually, Rel and Nisha’s relationship would have deteriorated, and he would have been forced to leave anyway, but he wouldn’t have gone to Caledon to meet other sylvari. He would have gone as far away as possible, probably either into the Shiverpeaks or the Silverwastes, and there’s a nonzero chance that he would have gone back to Maguuma. He’d probably either have died or turned Mordrem when Mordremoth awoke.
The Pact would still have been formed, and Zhaitan would still have been defeated--Rel was never the Commander. But Trahearne wouldn’t have met the one person who was almost as interested in healing Orr as he was, and he’d be incredibly alone, even with Kerra’s support--if he had it*. He’d still be Marshal. He’d still serve, but he would be far from happy. And Rel’s impact made the difference between him dying and surviving when Kerra yeeted Mordremoth out of his head, so he would have died at the end of HoT like in the main canon.
*Without support from friends (because without Rel, she likely wouldn’t have met Nisha, either, and they both helped her more than they realize), Kerra would have kept throwing herself into battles after Zhaitan’s death while trying to help people and might have died before the events of LWS1.
Cio/Ari
4. Were they each other’s first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?
It’s Ari’s first romantic relationship. She’s definitely messed around (read: slept with people) before, but she’s never gotten emotionally involved with anyone. For Cio, it’s her third romantic relationship and her second serious one. Her first relationship was two weeks dating a guy when she was fifteen--cute and sweet, but they weren’t prepared to last long-term. Her second was Sieran.
8. Who gets jealous easier?
Ari does, for sure, though she tries very hard not to. Overall, it’s rare that either of them get particularly jealous, but if one of them does, it’s probably Ari.
Kerra/Nisha/Canach
10. Do they prefer verbal or physical affection?
Overall, they’d all agree that both are good! More specifically: Kerra’s the most tactile of the three of them. Nisha prefers verbal affection, and xe blushes the quickest when given compliments (which is definitely not ever used for nefarious purposes, what are you talking about xD). For Canach, they’re both pretty even, but physical affection takes the top spot by a narrow margin.
13. Who remembers the little things?
I was trying to pick one of them in particular, but I’d say that they all do, in different ways. Sometimes it’s always giving them a kiss in the morning and laughing at all their jokes, even if only a little because some of them are just not good (Kerra); sometimes it’s reminding them how loved they are because you know you need to hear that too and touching up their armor when it gets worn down (Nisha); sometimes it’s asking them to talk because they clearly need to, even though you’re still learning to listen, or picking up the fresh fruit they offhandedly mentioned wanting at the market (Canach). They all do and remember little things; it’s hard to pick just one of them!
And the bonus one:
9. Who’s more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning?
Answering this for all of them, cause why not :) That’d be Rel, Cio, and Nisha!
Rel is very clingy in the mornings, and he absolutely will attach himself to Trahearne and not let go. Cio will do pretty much anything to make Ari rest more and to spend time with her. Nisha just...is not a morning sylvari, and in xyr opinion, xyr partners should just stay with xem until noon and then they can all get up and do things.

Hug prompt 33 for your consideration! -uselessidiotsquad-
Okay, so first of all: @uselessidiotsquad thank you for this! :) Second, I think I accidentally shared a braincell with you because before you sent this, I wrote this thing, which in fact includes this prompt completely by accident. But, since you sent this, you get more fic! With Ari and Cio this time!
Warnings: spoilers for the beginning of Icebrood (specifically the prologue bit), shooting targets, the “charr above all”-type mentality seen in that same story part
Cio wasn’t fond of crowds, as a general rule. Crowds of charr, especially ones who gave her the feeling they were saying derogatory things behind her back, were even worse.
But she’d been asked to come by the Commander, and she’d said yes. It was a chance to have a break, to drag Ari away from fighting dragon minions. Then Aurene had branded the devourer (quite justifiably, in her opinion), and Kerra and the rest of them were forced into clean-up duty, building back goodwill that they shouldn’t have lost in the first place.
The problem was that Cio wasn’t quite sure what to do, and Ari wasn’t either.
The two of them ended up walking around the entire main encampment twice. After the second time, Ari insisted that they do anything that’s not walking or working with Flame Legion, by the stars above, Cio, please. So, they headed in the opposite direction, and they found Sniper’s Square.
A specialist (Cio later learned that his name was Hawkspar) oversaw a good dozen cubs shooting at paper targets. As Cio and Ari approached, the cub at the far end of the line stuck out their tongue, took careful aim—and promptly missed.
The cub next to them stuck an elbow into their side and whispered loudly, “You know we’re actually supposed to be hitting the target, right?”
“Not everyone can shoot like you, Lis,” the first cub snapped back.
“Ah!” Hawkspar said, noticing Cio and Ari. The cubs all turned to stare at them. “Nice to see you around here again, Legionnaire.”
Ari crossed her arms. “Not a legionnaire.”
Hawkspar just grinned. “I know you two are with the Commander. Either of you up for giving these cubs a marksmanship demonstration?” Despite saying “either of you”, he was clearly looking at Ari.
Ari’s tail lashed.
Cio sighed. “Can you not?”
Hawkspar looked at her. “What?”
“Never mind,” she said, unhooking her rifle from her pack. “In the interest of diplomacy, please let me demonstrate.”
“Uh…very well, then!” Hawkspar said, gesturing towards a circular platform. “Climb on there, and when you’re ready to go, I’ll send you up.”
Cio gave a still-irritated Ari a half-smile, and the charr’s face softened. “Watch me. I’ll take down all those balloons.”
And without further ado, Cio was soaring into the sky on a metal disc. She took a deep breath, and then she took aim.
The rhythm was easy to remember, and Cio hadn’t realized how much she’d missed it. Ari had been in the field, but Cio had been designing and repairing weaponry. Complex and interesting weaponry, yes, but she hadn’t seen action in months.
Target after target dropped. The kickback of the rifle beat a staccato pattern into her shoulder. High, low, middle, right in front of my face, high again. She rotated and fired again and again until, eventually, she turned and only saw sky.
Cio stood up, sliding her rifle back into place as the platform lowered. She smirked at the dumbfounded look on Hawkspar’s face. Her expression broadened into a grin at the cubs’ clear amazement, especially the one named Lis. Their eyes seemed to be attempting to reach the size of a dinner plate.
The disc touched down, and Cio bowed. “You are very welcome. I hope that my shooting was up toooOOOO—ARI!” Her words dissolved into laughter as her friend lifted her up, spinning her off the platform and around in a circle several times.
“I’d forgotten how damn good you are!” Ari said, utterly beaming as she brought them to a halt. It took Cio’s breath away.
“Better than that one time with the pocket raptors?” she managed to say.
“Eh, I’ll call it a close second.”

2, 5, 8, and 12 for a couple of your choice :3c
Thanks for the ask! :3 You get Ari and Cio! (Poor Ari doesn’t have a character post yet; I really need to get on that when I get the chance.)
2. Who developed feelings first?
Ari developed feelings first and then promptly tried to ignore them. It did not work even a little bit.
5. Tell me one random fact about them.
Most people would not clock them as a couple on first sight, since Ari’s a charr and Cio’s an asura. Both of them expected that and neither of them care. If you’re rude, though, that would be a big mistake.
8. Where was their first date?
They haven’t technically had one! They had the misfortune of finally confessing their feelings during Icebrood, so they haven’t had time. That’s at the top of their list post-all-this-chaos, though.
12. Who kills the spiders?
Neither of them--Ari makes mini guardian shield-bubbles around them and takes them outside.
