I decided I’d ramble and share my thoughts for a bit.

Kagari’s far from my favorite Meguca, (she is my favorite Suzune Meguca tho) but she’s such a delight as a character. She’s just…

Like… look at her. She waltzes on screen and is the most fun character. In a story where everyone gets gloomier as they go, she is just a delight to have around.

Her butterfly theme is especially such a nice detail. Alongside Isabeau and Ui, the moth/butterfly aesthetic symbolizing a powerful character shines through. I think it’s probably because Kyubey himself is called a fairy. I don’t know if this detail was told to the authors, or if it’s just a happy coincidence, but it is nice to see.

Another detail is that the black metal lined with gold also represents a powerful character. See Final Tart’s Riz-gauntlet.

Throughout the manga’s story, she’s shown to be someone motivated by revenge, and I respect that. Sure, it’s misplaced, but she can do whatever she wants because she’s Kagari.

(She’s so different yet so similar to Suzune)

She was motivated by a storybook about a witch to make Suzune be all alone and hated… and so she turned Suzune into a horrible person. I think it’s a nice and deep detail that Kagari didn’t force Suzune to kill magical girls, she just slightly shifted a memory she’d had, in order to change her motivation. It really blurs the lines between Suzune blaming Kagari fully, or her herself having a small smidge of responsibility. (Personally if I were Suzune, I’d just blame anyone else and not be worried about it but that’s just me)

I also love her role and arc in Memorable Flower. It’s so good.

It’s also really nice that it turns out that Chisato’s father was the one who wrote that. I wonder how that’ll play in the next Suzune event since Chisato survived in this one.

In the wiki, they mention that Kagari’s powers make her be like the author of the story. And looking at her witch…

It’s literally coming out of a book. Now, part of me thinks they’ll go the boring route and say that Kagari’s witch is just a harlequin or something boring and obvious like that. But I’d love it if it was the author witch instead.

Moral of the story: they should really keep this theme of butterflies and moths going.

I just finished watching “Sing a bit of Harmony”, and it’s honestly one of my new favorite movies now.

The animation is stunning, the music is fantastic, I don’t know if I’m just being emotional today or what but I cried like 5 times.

Anyway it’s on Crunchyroll if you want to stream it and I would highly recommend it especially if you’re into slice of life/romance stuff.

Shion is a young boy who has a mint green hair with a fading blue at the end of it. He has big blue eyes and long eyelashes, he has pale skin that looks like a dead person skin. He often seen wearing two white ribbon in both side of his head. He also often seen wearing a blue oversized knitted sweater and sometimes a oversized bunny hoodie, it was still unknown why he wear a bunny hoodie but we'll find out soon enough. He also brought his nurse uniform as a emergency clothes change, considering he formerly work at a pokemon healing center before.

Shion often make people confused about her gender, he has some feminine face and high-pitched female teen voice that make people thought she is a female and a long hair that make people thought she is a complete female, that's the reason he got called "Genderless trainer". He has slim body, he doesn't have any muscles in her body, his body was slim like a model body, her body almost look like it was chiseled carefully.

As a child, Shion is a innocent and cheerful boy, until an incident that made him change, he always has a trust issue since that incident, he never like to depend on other and always do things herself with his own ways.

Shion doesn't like spending his time socializing with other people or interacting with others beside a pokemon. he is a very patient and respectful person, but he can be a little sarcastic and blunt when he is annoyed. he often spend her time taking care of his pokemons, reading, training, baking or even taking a walk for a little bit. he rarely speak to anyone other than his pokemons and the person he's comfortable with. But he was often seen as calm, collected, patient, helpful and respectable person.

Sing a Bit of Harmony / Ai no Utagoe wo Kikasete (2021)

A story about an AI that is more human and compassionate than humans themselves. Satomi Amano (Haruka Fukuhara) is a loner at school until one day her new classmate, an AI named Shion Ashimori (Tao Tsuchiya) changes her life.

Shion is tasked to fit in like a normal teenage girl in school as part of a research project to develop an AI that is able to communicate effectively with human beings so that it is able to take care and look after humans in the future.

But Shion secretly has another task in mind, that is to make Satomi happy by connecting her with friends in her class. Her school is off to a crazy start and things start to look brighter for both Satomi and Shion.

Until one day, the company that created her decides to take her back by force after perceiving her as a threat. Satomi and her friends decides to save Shion who had created wonderful memories with them and to set her free.

I was reluctant to watch in the beginning fearing that it might be a sad anime. Although there are moments which leaves you in tears, there are also moments which makes you smile and the anime does have a good ending.

It feels like watching a Disney Anime, probably because of the occasional singing, beautiful music and amazing animation. I had no idea that Tao Tsuchiya could sing, now that I do, I want to hear more. Haha.

I like that the anime is set in the future but most of the things are still the same, except for a few technology like robot bus drivers, farmers and cleaners, and personal home AI app which is like a super advance SIRI to help you.

Unlike many futuristic films and anime like Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell, which often depicts a dark and dystopian future, this one shows a brighter one where things are not much different than now but better.
