Someone recently did a tier list of all the DLC shinies so I wanted to participate and do my own!! Apologies in advance if I offend any of you with my shiny opinions lmao

I’ve actually already gotten a few of these shinies (Leavanny by pure chance, Litwick/Lampent/Chandelure and Phantump by hunting) so my list is already a little smaller lol. Looking forward to getting a bunch of these neat shinies tho!!

#I have a lot of thoughts. But I will only share a few #1. Volbeat Lombre and Carbink are SO underrated. Idk why I just love love LOVE their colors #2. I’m not a huge fan of the yellow shinies idk why. They just don’t stand out to me as much lol #3. Broke my heart to put some of these so low but like. If the shiny barely changes…what is the point… #(Besides a few exceptions like Dusknoir. His shiny is subtle but I really really like it) #(Mostly bc I caught an alpha shiny Dusknoir in PLA by chance and it’s SO neat) #5. The Lousy Three’s shinies are SO fucking bad dude. "oh i should do the gen 4 national dex it will be a fun relaxing summer fun activity" i tell myself like a fool. i make my little spreadsheet. Oh, I Can Get Torchic Via Pokewalker! How Simple! I am a fool. I have been pokewalkering for 3 hours straight with no torchic. i know its there because i encountered one (1) torchic and it fled from me like a coward. im convinced this map is cursed . fuck sightseeing (the pokewalker map not the concept) and dont even get me started on the johto safari zone. "what if we made catching pokemon unenjoyable" they said. There is no skill there is only balls and it costs 500P just to run around like an idiot trying to find fuckign. lombre or whatever. who even cares. the johto safari zone is so beloved because it is in HGSS and everyone loves these games and they have different terrains and many different pokemon. but everyone who loves it is a fool. why is it entirely luck based. what do you mean rare pokemon can simply leave at any time for any reason for funsies. i cannot fathom shiny hunting in this godforsaken place. "oh let me place 10 rocks down randomly in the grass, rhydon will love this" <- statement by the utterly deranged. and then there's the grinding. i love fighting gym leaders over and over again, i say, like a liar. i love the pokewalker except for right now, when i need a torchic, and i am so so sleepy, why was torchic even in this thing. the other maps all have a theme to them, but torchic is out of left field. what does this bird have to do with sightseeing. i sure as hell am NOT sight SEEING it jesus christ please i just . need torchic . for my pokedex. i havent even finished the regional pokedex yet because of the grinding, because i am at the Home Stretch so to speak for grinding. the only pokemon left i need are like, dragonite adn tyranitar and mewtwo and lugia who are all such high levels and dear god i am so tired. i havent beat red yet; why is his team in the 80s. who designed this. i have like almost 150 hours in this game and my team is not even at the 60s yet. this is going to take forever.

i’m so baffled, i’ve been having the weirdest shiny luck in tbe dlc lmao i’ve done like three outbreaks now and it takes an eternity each time to actually get a shiny from the outbreak but then i keep getting unrelated shinies??? like i ran into two shinies while doing a lombre outbreak for Hours and i just got two geodudes while doing a slugma outbreak. like i’m happy to get shinies but where the hell are the ones from the outbreaks

almost kinda makes me wonder if they somehow broke the shiny charm when they added more pokémon (like maybe since i haven’t completed the kitakami dex yet it’s not understanding that i completed the appropriate pokedex???) but i have no clue if that could be the case. it just feels really different 🤔

Actual Pokémon story that I made: it starts with a Snivy and a Zorua who were childhood friends but grew apart as they grew older. The now Zoroark is blamed for a bunch of crimes that he didn’t commit by the queen (who was his former best friend and has fully evolved into a Serperior.)

So he uses his illusion ability to disguise himself as a Lombre and move to a faraway village of rebels who are trying to keep hidden from queen Serperior and her army. The rebellion is lead by a Levanny who used to serve the queen but when she was forced to execute her partner Sylveon. She had a plan involving the two of them faking their deaths and going into hiding.

The other important characters in the story are a Mawile who was a maid that once worked for queen Serperior but ran away because she couldn’t handle the abuse and mistreatment that she had to deal with. An Ambipom who runs a market place and is great friends with Mawile. A young totodile girl who wakes up in the middle of the woods with amnesia. A shy Phantump who is close to the totodile girl due to the fact that none of them remember where they came from.

A shiny Delphox who hides her emotions in order to deal with the grief of watching her younger brother get killed when she was only a child. A Roserade who is working under the queen as an assassin because she ended up finding her and putting her under her wing and trained her in combat so that one day she might be able to avenge the death of her best friend Slowking. Unaware that she is being groomed and that queen Serperior was the one who killed them. And a Toxicroak a loyal servant of queen Serperior who is possibly responsible for most of the abuse that Mawile had to deal with.
