Watching Key talking about Jonghyun on MBC’s I Live Alone was healing in so many ways. He was holding back tears and you could feel his hurt and love for his hyung.

When he said, “To be honest, it’s not hard for me to talk about [Jonghyun] because I’m sad. Of course, I’m careful. But do I have to avoid it? I don’t have to run away. I’m just accepting what happened and sharing my feelings and the words I want to say at certain moments in a healthy way,” my heart broke and healed at the same time. There was just something about his words that made me feel that it was ok to still be sad about Jonghyun, but we shouldn’t have to always be strong or be happy “because that’s what Jonghyun would want.”

Key reminded us that healing isn’t easy - he’s still sad and misses Jonghyun. It’s ok to say you’re still sad. It’s ok to say you’re still mourning him. It’s ok. Healing takes time, accepting takes time. You don’t have to always be strong. You did well.

Summary:

Your life has always been far from ideal; a never ending struggle, daily shifts at the restaurant just to get some money to pursue your dream of studying psychology. It's been hard, except for the last few months. Ever since you met him, you've been truly happy. A house, a baby on the way… everything fell into place somehow, and for the first time in your life you felt that things were perfect. Until they weren't. Everything changed in the blink of an eye. You've been taught time and time again that life couldn't be perfect. Why did you think it's going to be different this time?

This story is a rollercoaster of emotions that's going to bring you an existential crisis since you'll be feeling every negative and positive emotions one can feel while reading.

When I think of K-pop maknae lines, I think of Taemin (SHINee) as every maknae’s chaotic leader. They all look towards Taemin to guide them in their chaotic messes. He’s there, creeping on their shoulders, whispering in their ears on how to be torture their hyungs.
