Who?

Questions for Shika/Sasu/Neji:

(Neji didn’t die, and Sasuke didn’t loose an arm.)

Who gets sleepy first?

Definitely Shikamaru, without a doubt. Sleeps anywhere he can, so Sasuke and Neji make sure to lend their shoulders as pillows. Sasuke sometimes throws his cloak over Shikamaru to not let him get cold.

Who wears the other’s clothes?

All of them. They all have similar builds, and height, so it’s easy to wear each other’s clothes. And the fact their color schemes are fairly close.

Who loves forehead kisses?

Neji loves receiving them, especially on his mark. Sasuke, despite being the shortest of the three of them, loves giving forehead kisses.

Who gets easily/closes off the most?

Sasuke, he still thinks he doesn’t deserve forgiveness.

Who gets shy when they hold hands?

Surprisingly, it’s Shikamaru, he would try to put his hands in his pockets, but the other two just holds them tightly.

Who gets injured the most?

It’s very unlikely, but whenever one of them gets injured in a mission, the other two make sure to protect the injured one, making sure not to injure themselves. Very worried boyfriends here, so Shikamaru makes time to learn basic medical ninjutsu in case of emergencies.

Who gets jealous easily?

Neji, he’s used to not having his own friends, especially having boyfriends, so he makes sure that no one takes them from him.

Who does the chores?

They all grew up with chores, so they just have a schedule for each of them.

Who steals the covers?

Sasuke and Shikamaru, they get cold easily, Neji runs warm.

Who likes to styles who’s hair the most?

Sasuke, he’s the one who styles Neji and Shikamaru’s hair. Shikamaru and Neji can style their hair, but it’s mostly ponytails, half up, or a bun. They prefer Sasuke doing it for them, because his fingers can weave them more intricately. Shikamaru and Neji sometimes style his hair, but yeah, Sasuke styles their hair the most.

Who likes being cuddled or starts most cuddles?

Neji. He would always try to get the two cuddle him, not that any of them can deny his request.

Who’s the one stopping fights?

If you ask their friends, you would think it’s Shikamaru, but it’s actually Sasuke. Not that they fight, it’s rare actually, but it’s Sasuke. They love banter, but whenever it gets too serious, Sasuke usually stops it from getting bigger. (He doesn’t like fighting, not anymore, especially after fighting with Naruto.)

Who makes the bed?

Shikamaru mostly wakes up far later than the two of them, so he’s usually the one responsible for doing it.

Who cooks breakfast?

Mostly Sasuke, or Neji. Sasuke learned how to cook different dishes growing up alone, and his mom taught him various recipes when Itachi and Fugaku aren’t in the house. Neji can cook, they all can, but it’s mostly basic meals like omelet and rice, with some miso soup.

Who visits who during work?

Neji visits Shikamaru in the Hokage Tower, and would slip in between breaks to visit Sasuke in the Academy.

Who curses more?

“The fuck you mean? I don’t curse that much.” - Sasuke

Nicknames?

They stick to shortened versions of their names, ‘Ji, Sas’ and Shika’. Sometimes calls each other darling, love or dear. Or their ANBU names, Hawk, Eagle and Deer...

Who gets sick the most?

Sasuke, and is very very stubborn on telling them that he does not, indeed have a fever.

Who kissed first?

Shikamaru, he took one look at the two blushing and looking away, and deemed it ‘too troublesome’ to wait for them to make a move.

Who confessed first?

Neji, he didn’t want to wait too long, just in case the other two get lovers, before him.

Who gets shy or flushes the most?

I like to think Shikamaru would be the one mostly red in the face...he isn’t used to compliments that aren’t about his intelligence..and he’s not used to get affection much. They all blush pretty easily, especially when it’s a praise, because they know how much it really means for each other..

Where’s their favorite place?

Ah, a tree by the top of a hill, laying on the grass, asleep on each other, while clouds pass above.

Who stays up late?

Sasuke stays up looking at the moon, humming then Shikamaru would look for him in the middle of the night, sit down beside him and talk about what’s bothering him before pulling him back to bed, Neji already waiting for them, half-asleep.

Who wakes up early?

Neji, he would already be in the backyard whistling while nursing a cup of tea or coffee, then the other would follow suit.

Who’s the big spoon and little spoon?

Shikamaru likes being little spoon, Neji likes being big spoon, but mostly one of them is in the middle, with the other two cuddling on either side, with their hands intertwined in the middle...

Who’s protective over who?

Shikamaru is very protective over his boyfriends, especially to the ones whispering and insulting them whenever they walk the streets. You do not want to mess with an annoyed Nara.

Who’s soft over who?

They both have Sasuke wrapped in their finger. Shikamaru wants to sleep? He’ll sleep with him. Neji wants to get his hair brushed? Sasuke will spend time to softly brush the strands and untangle them.

Who stares?

Sasuke. Activates Sharingan to memorize them.

Who sings?

Sasuke mostly hums, then Shikamaru or Neji would actually sing, maybe even sing a duet. Their voices mix in beautifully, so it doesn’t really matter.

Hobbies?

Sasuke likes doing crochet, it’s repetitive and calming for him, so he would make blankets or jackets on his free time, using their favorite colors. He likes reading too, often sitting in their little library in their house.

Neji likes gardening, he planted them a whole herb rack and most of their vegetables are home grown. He likes baking too, making sweet batches for him and Shikamaru and less sweeter ones for Sasuke.

Shikamaru is known, for his past-time, cloud watching. It’s something so freeing and relaxing for him, just seeing white puffy clouds pass through the light blue sky. He, is a shogi player, he loves the game so much that the three of them are terrifying in matches, but he always wins.

Who initiates dates?

Neji, very not well planned dates, but sometimes scheduled. If they have free time, Neji would barge in the office and throw Shikamaru on his shoulder, then walk away without explaining, and Sasuke would just look at him, and will put down his papers on his desk, and follow them.

Who overworks?

Shikamaru, is such a stubborn male that sometimes Neji or Sasuke would pull their hairs out in frustration. Sasuke, who is equally as stubborn, not that he would admit it, does not leave his desk, prompting Neji or Shikamaru to manhandle him away.

Help these two with their mountain of paperwork, please. (Though, they can do it fairly easily if they really need to.)

Who proposes first?

I’d like to think they planned it on the same time accidentally, like they planned a fancy date in a restaurant, and they would have two ring boxes on each of their pockets....

Who flinched, at first, (like before they were together) when someone gave physical contact?

I think Sasuke would have flinched, since..it’s been years since he’s in the village, so he wouldn’t be comfortable with contact, but Shikamaru and Neji slowly eased him into it, so he doesn’t flinch when Kiba throws an arm over his shoulder or if Ino links their elbows.

Which team helped the three of them be together?

Team 8 thought of it first, before talking with their own groups to help the three of them be together.

Shikamaru and Sasuke would walk outside the Hyuuga estate, careful disinterest showing in their faces, despite the absolute rage they feel on the inside.

As clan heirs, they both know, that Hyuuga has different traditions, but that doesn't mean it's right.

So whenever they're excused to go, they would slip on tight-lipped smiles, and Sasuke would pull Shikamaru outside the door, hand gripped tight to not let the Nara accidentally punch the stoic face of Hiashi.

He doesn't really know how it started, his and Neji's relationship was one that started off rocky, with their annoyance at each other teetering over the edge every time they meet.

They can somehow just rile up each other, their previous calm and collected figures thrown haphazardly out the window. They leave teasing each other with how better their own dojutsu is over the other.

His annoyance doesn't taint the fact he knows that the screams of pain he hears while getting farther away the main house is not right.

He wills himself to pull Shikamaru farther, not trusting to stop in their steps in case that he himself barges into that house to stop Neji's pain.

He remembers the meetings his mother usually takes, leaving him with Shikamaru and Hinata on a room, the Hyuuga's cousin standing by the corner.

Fugaku was genin teammates with Hiashi and Yoshino, while Mikoto was with Kushina and Shikaku.

So, Shikamaru would mostly be dozing off in the corner, while Hinata would just..read or make flower crowns, that she once placed atop of his head.

He, in his annoying 5-year old body, would bother Neji, looking to bright white eyes with his bottomless onyx ones, glaring.

And..Neji would get defensive and narrow his white eyes, which would then startle the living shit out of him, his own surprise mirroring on pupil-less eyes.

"Stay away," he would say to him, but he never seemed to understand, staying with him while they grew up.

Sasuke, despite his soul screaming at him to come back, doesn't stop dragging Shikamaru to the gates, squeezing the tan hand in his in comfort.

They know, they all know not to intervene, or else Neji would have worse, and he doesn't really want to put the male in much more pain because of him.

Shikamaru seethes with rage, his right hand clenching and unclenching in anger. Sasuke stops by the sidewalk, letting go of their intertwined hands.

He extends his arm, Shikamaru's twitchy hands clasping on his arm covering, tan fingers twisting in the white fabric.

They slowly walk away towards the Uchiha complex, Shikamaru focusing on calming himself down.

"You know that we can't stop him, Shika, as much as we want to." he mumbles, brushing a strand of hair out of his face with his unoccupied hand.

Shikamaru grumbles, "I hate that even I tell my parents, they can't stop Uncle Hiashi."

It's a very known fact after all, you can't fight a clan's traditions, it's against their law, and it's showing disrespect.

Shikamaru knows, for a fact, a lot of things. He knows, after much observation and interrupted naps, that Naruto is (he's sure of it, but he'll find the truth, soon.) the son of the Yondaime and his wife. His uncle...and aunt.

He knows for a fact, that it's illogical, for Itachi Uchiha to massacre the whole clan just to prove his strength.

He seems to be not the only one who has this conclusion, based on his shared glances with Neji when they were sitting by Sasuke's bed side.

He knows, that Itachi loves his brother so much, to death, and did not kill his kin for absolutely no reason.

He knows, that the main family and branch system of the Hyuuga clan is absolutely vile, Neji's pain making him hurt physically, while he and Sasuke wait in the sidelines, helpless in his cries of help.

He knows that once he's a jounin, he'll do everything he can do, to help his friends, survive this nightmare.

He's laying on a patch of grass, underneath a canopy of leaves, watching the clouds pass by.

Neji stumbles up the hill, weak and clutching at his forehead, shivering.

Sasuke looks over from practicing his fire jutsu at the dock, running quickly to support Neji up the hill.

Shikamaru asked him why he bothered to come, that they wouldn't have minded if he was absent, and that he should've rested instead.

All he said was, "I didn't want to be alone."

Shikamaru rapped on the door repeatedly, before stepping away a bit, bowing. "Hiashi-san, would it be alright if I invite Neji to my house, my parents are hoping that he comes to dinner."

Hiashi would frown disapprovingly at him, before relenting, Neji's half smile greeting him when the Hyuuga walked out the door.

He's grateful, that his parents try.

Sees them checking up on Naruto and Sasuke, and by extension, Neji. They try their best to be there for them, the adults being there for their deceased parents, their deceased team mates.

"They would have done the same if they were the one alive." they told him with gentle smile, and a ruffle of hair.

Shikamaru finds out early, that Sasuke and Neji's dojutsu places a strain on their eyes, and chakra pathways, so he learns.

Despite being lazy, he learns medical ninjutsu, on his spare time. He barrels through clan jutsus and training, always making sure to leave space for learning it.

He learns, even if it's so troublesome, he learns.

The grateful smile he receives while green chakra covered hands are pressed to their temples are worth it.

Shikamaru would try to excuse Neji, especially when it's not his fault, just to lessen the pain.

It would never work though, so he just provides comfort after.

Neji, is always brought to the Uchiha compound when he's tired. He would walk through the cold streets towards Sasuke's empty, eerie house.

He would plop down beside Sasuke, leaning his head on his shoulder, while the Uchiha plays shogi against Shikamaru, his right arm across Neji's shoulders, blanketing him in warmth.

His breathing matches with theirs, their quiet murmuring lulling him to sleep.

Neji looks at Shikamaru, the two of them of them sporting frowns on their faces. Yoshino and Shikaku sit by the the table, pale in the face, gripping the table tight.

Shikamaru shared another alarmed glance before pursing his lips, undoubtedly going through multiple reasons why.

Why did Itachi murder the whole clan? Wait, Sasuke-

Shikamaru and Neji's heart stopped, before the two scramble to stand, leaving the table and out of the Nara compound, running with all their might with their small legs.

They pant, looking up to the various yellow tapes surrounding the once loud and lived in compound, splotches of blood smearing across the windows and floor, coppery tang of it making them scrunch their nose.

Shikamaru almost gags when two ANBU guards carry a cold, lifeless Mikoto out of the door, her hand limp on the side.

Neji fights the urge to cry, approaching Chouza, before Shikaku shows up behind them, hugging them both to his chest.

He holds them close, before settling Neji on his hip, and Shikamaru on his shoulders, smiling sadly at Chouza before body flickering to the hospital.

A pale, so so very pale, almost grey looking boy lay against white sheets, charcoal hair falling around his face, furrowed brows and shuffling on the bed.

They breathe out in relief seeing their friend alive, before hearing "He's trapped in a genjutsu."

Sasuke opens his eyes, gasping for breath, crying. He can't breathe, feeling blood all over his body and palms, blood choking him. He sobs, his Sharingan activating for a moment before slumping towards Shikaku's chest, the man letting the boy grieve.

Sasuke hears in the darkness, "We're here, always."

Neji places himself on Sasuke's back, glaring back at the whispers and prying eyes around him. Shikamaru flanks Sasuke's front, scowling at whoever tries to accuse bloody murder on his friend.

They sleep beside him, hoping to lessen his nightmares, and staying up with him when he wakes up crying.

"Sas, you know your brother is not like that right?"

"I know, I just don't understand why."

Shikamaru frowns at him, seeing the scars on his chest and upper arms. He glowers at him before clicking his tongue, muttering "Such a drag." under his breath, mouth turned down in worry.

"I had to protect the idiot. Got the Sharingan though."

They don't bother correcting him.

Neji stares at the cursed mark on Sasuke's shoulder, his thumb absentmindedly grazing across it.

What has Sasuke done to you? Why make him suffer?

Sasuke glares at Danzo, before Kakashi body flickers, pulling at the bandages.

Neji's suspicion was true, it was full of sharingan eyes, Shisui's Mangekyou in Danzo's eyesocket.

Sasuke stiffens, opening and closing his mouth before he staggers back ward, Mangekyou Sharingan spinning in his eyes.

He growls, "How dare you."

(Shikaku, and Yoshino are protective of the boys, along with Iruka and Kakashi. Tsume even threatened Hiashi if he intervenes with the children.

"I've already seen our friends die, I'm not letting you ruin the friendship we wanted for the kids."

Konoha 12 is very tight knit, very protective.)

nicknames.

Nicknames weren’t particularly an important aspect in their relationship. Considering they all are... quiet, sarcastic bastards, they can’t use a nickname for their life. There’s times that they tried using nicknames, but it just felt out of place, or too ridiculous for their tastes. Sometimes, Sasuke would just think of the most obnoxious nicknames he hears from Naruto, and uses it on his boyfriends. “Princess, can you pass me the folder please.” he would say, biting his lip to stop his laughter from escaping. Neji look at him with an annoyed glare, throwing the folder farther away from him, much to his amusement.

Their nicknames are mostly shortened versions of their names, like...’Ji, Shika’, ‘Sas. Sometimes they call each other babe, love or dear. They would just pile on the couch and throw different lovey-dovey nicknames, that they would never— ever use.

Shikamaru’s head is laying on Sasuke’s thigh, the Uchiha running his hand through the other’s hair. The two of them are on the couch, comfortable and quiet, enjoying the little touches shared between them. Shikamaru lets his hand graze over Sasuke’s unoccupied hand, his soft hands with little scars caressing his calloused ones.

Neji steps into the room, flopping down in front of Sasuke’s legs, leaning on his knee. “You alright there, bub?” he asks, a hand going to pat Neji. “I’m quite alright sweetheart, no need to get your pretty head worried over it.” Neji teases him, emphasizing the pet name, making him blush slightly. Shikamaru snorts, “Aw, sugar is embarrassed.” His cheeks warm against the palm holding it, making him scowl. “Hn? Need affection, sunshine?” he asks, leaning down to rub his nose against Shikamaru, the Nara looking away. He looks up to Neji, “ Treasure, come here.” he drawls sweetly, hand outstretched to pull Neji. ”Would you mind moving a bit, pretty boy?” Neji asks Shikamaru, the Nara sitting up to give space. The three of them move around the couch so the three of them fit, Shikamaru leaning on his side while Neji sprawls out in both their laps, humming. “Let’s see...what nicknames can we use that’s specifically to us only..” Neji scrunches his nose, before muttering, “Shika can be...” he trails off before Sasuke cuts him off, “I think Deer is nice.” Shikamaru glances at him with a raised eyebrow, “Dear?” he asks, the nickname already used. Sasuke chuckles lightly, poking his forehead, “Deer.” he repeats, emphasizing the double e.

Shikamaru lets out a small ‘ah’, his cheeks a pretty pink against his skin. Sasuke hums, kissing his cheek, “my heart.”

Sasuke looks down at Neji before humming, “Angel eyes.” Shikamaru nods along with him, the two of them finding satisfaction in seeing Neji averting his eyes and his fair skin flushing. “My sun.” Shikamaru says, interlocking their fingers, his thumb going up and down Neji’s wrist. The two of them look at him, their expressions going thoughtful before Neji blurts out, “Eye candy.” making him smack the Hyuuga, “I gave you a genuine nickname.” “I thought it fits,” Neji retorts, Shikamaru kissing his temple, “My knight.” Sasuke fights a smile from showing, knowing his cheeks are red, based on the amused glances of the two.

Neji snorts before laughing, “My grumpy one,” which makes him scowl— pout.

Shikamaru groans before murmuring, “Enough with the sappy shit, let’s go sleep.” Sasuke chortles, his breath coming out in a puff. “I’m not going to drag you to the room,” he reminds the other, seeing Shikamaru already falling half-asleep.

“Sleepy, don’t sleep on us.” Neji teases, poking Shikamaru’s side, the Nara grumbling at being slightly woken up.

Sasuke sighs, before kissing Shikamaru’s temples, Neji moving away from where he’s sprawled on them. “Come on, we’re all exhausted, all I want right now is a shower and a soft bed.” Neji chuckles, “Yes princess.” Sasuke stares flatly at him, before carrying Shikamaru on his front, the Nara’s head tucked to his shoulder securely, hugging Shikamaru like a teddy bear. Neji huffs at him, going to the kitchen to eat dinner, the cooked meal still warm. Neji walks to the doorway, listening to Sasuke who’s humming a tone, both of them fresh from the shower. Shikamaru’s eyes are already drooping with sleep, Sasuke’s head tilting in drowsiness.

“You’re both cute when you’re sleepy like this.” Sasuke lifts a brow at him, half-smiling, “You probably haven’t seen your face when you’re half-asleep.” Shikamaru mumbles his agreement, rolling over to throw an arm and leg over Sasuke. “That’s unfair, don’t sleep without me.” Neji swats at the sleeping Nara, Sasuke letting out a ‘tch’. “Hurry up then.” Neji stares at the Uchiha, not breaking eye contact, before he realizes the man is serious. He glares before rushing to the bathroom, his clothes with him. Sasuke’s charcoal eyes are already lidded when he arrives in the room, grumbling at his two annoying — very adorable and pretty — lovers, pushing them away to create space in the middle.

Sasuke opens an eye at him, grinning, “What’s got your hair in a twist?” “I demand affection.” he says firmly, reaching behind him for Shikamaru’s arm, and curling underneath it. His hand reaches out to get Sasuke’s, when the Uchiha looks at him boredly.

“Aww, what if I don’t want to?” Sasuke shifts away from him, onyx eyes glinting in the night. Shikamaru’s sleepy voice rumbles behind his back, “Just sleep you idiots.”

“Mmm, fine.” Sasuke relents, wrapping an arm over him, pulling Shikamaru closer.

Uh, this was really short, and I just wanted the three of them being soft for each other, and agh.

late night idea...

hear me out, neji, shikamaru and sasuke are geniuses, in their own ways. of course, shikamaru has the highest IQ, but besides him, the other two boys in their ages that gives him a challenge in shogi is sasuke and neji.

now, neji and sasuke would've kept shikamaru from lazing around too much, and since sasuke and shikamaru are children of the main family, neji's allowed to hang out with them.

hM, shisui and itachi teaching the three of them tricks and whatnot, techniques that can help the three of them in the future...

then the massacre happens, and sasuke cuts off from the two of them. they're still pretty close, so the two of them plan to talk with sasuke, only to learn that the clan heads prohibit them from talking to sasuke.

so they just watch on the sidelines quietly, seeing their old happy friend lose their light, unable to help them...

so when naruto asks them to help him get sasuke back, they move immediately, despite the adults' protests.

"i've watched him lose himself for 5 years, i'm not losing him completely for not trying."

they manage to bring back sasuke and they talk it out, with shikamaru and neji talking sense to him that itachi wouldn't do that, and there's probably another reason.

so the three of them move together, no one coming home to a empty compound and neji finally cutting ties off and working as a chuunin.

they join ANBU, and the Intelligence Team alongside Ino on their spare time, planning for attacking Akatsuki..

At the same time, they slowly unravel the secrets of the village, shikamaru and neji there to comfort sasuke when they learned the truth of the massacre...

imagine..tsunade teaming the three of them together mostly for intel, a byakugan, a sharingan and a nara...

hhhhhhhhhh

doing reports in the living room of their shared apartment, sasuke or shikamaru making tea or coffee for whoever is busy, and the three of them switching chores....

and they're scary in battle plans, especially when kakashi is with them, the plans they manage to make are devastating, with all possible outcomes already thought of and planned ahead...

i love shikasasuneji (or whatever they’re called—)

Fuck, my brain is like.... Neji x Shikamaru x Sasuke..the three genius boyfriends and the most (probably) responsible people in Konoha 12. They’re called their gay dads, namely, Papa, Dad and Father. They’re all protective in their own ways, and extremely fond of their favorite ‘kids’. They’re soft for each other, often seen visiting each other’s offices. (i’m literally screaming) Fuck, they all joined in ANBU with Sasuke as a captain, Neji or Shikamaru his second-in-command?? I sometimes think either Sasuke or Shikamaru taking the Academy head role, and Neji in ANBU or as a jounin. They’re fucking strategic, scary in thinking on the spot, especially when the three of them plan for battle, all of them thinking of possible outcomes and scenarios and thinking of ways to fix it during the battle... Sasuke has the shortest hair, but it reaches until his shoulders, Shikamaru’s drop by his ribs, Neji’s is until his waist. They braid each other’s hair (no one can convince me otherwise) and put little flowers in the weave. They’re domestic boyfriends, all of them knows how to cook, and the other chores, because they are learned how to. They do cuddle piles, especially when they’re tired after work, Shikamaru already asleep on the couch, then Sasuke cuddles to his side, with Neji plopping down on their laps, they’ll stay there, half-asleep, comfortable and content :D (please i’m crying, they’re all too adorable for the world. imagine shino or kiba needing help with something and they’ll call “dad” or the other two. *cries*) let’s see if i try making one lmao-
