i have a problem during shifting while awake or through dreams where i start having a hard time breathing, usually it's manageable and i can calm it down within a few minutes and continue shifting but last time it happened i couldn't. i shifted while i was in a semi awake state and like i mentioned its usually manageable and doesn't worry me too much but this time i fully started hyperventilating and it pulled me out completely. i was wondering if you have any clue why this is happening?? (ofc you're not a doctor but i don't really wanna call up my doctor talking about shifting 😭) i usually just brush it off as shifting symptoms but i don't think hyperventilating is a symptom

hihi anon! if i'm being completely honest, i've heard other people experience this and i've experienced this myself too, but i do not think it's solely because of shifting.
before completely labelling it off as a reality shifting symptom, it's a possibility it could be due to something else like anxiety, or even some sort of medical condition. i don't want to worry you but i wouldn't be quick to label it to happen because it's a reality shifting symptom.
and if you don't want to call up your doctor and involve shifting, you could always say you find you have a hard time breathing/start hyperventilating when specifically laying down and anything else you notice. do you notice this anywhere else of notice that this happens because of a trigger, like anxiety, for example (also, i'm no doctor and not diagnosing but just using it as an example).
however, it could be due to a number of things other than an underlying medical condition such as anxiety or even overthinking. i think my best advice to you is to look into some breathing exercises or ways to try and stay as calm as possible when trying to shift.
reassure yourself that you're completely safe, and practice some breathing exercises here and there to teach yourself how to head back into your normal breathing patterns. or even completing a short meditation before you shift can help you feel more relaxed and at ease when trying to shift.
sometimes as well, overthinking about your breathing or worrying about it can lead to hyperventilating or abnormal breathing patterns as well. like in the same way that overthinking and 'forcing' yourself to sleep won't help you sleep. breathing is a natural process and sometimes we have to remind ourselves and our body that we know how to breathe :)
but if i'm being completely honest, i think it's best to go see a doctor, especially if you find it's happening frequently and noticing it happens when you lay down.
but if you're not too concerned, you could always try practicing some breathing exercises or meditation beforehand. anything that'll help you feel more relaxed so when you go to shift, you'll feel all nice and relaxed and will be less inclined to worry over your breathing and just let it happen.
i'm not sure what type of awake method you do, but try to focus on something else other than breathing, such as visualising, using your imagination, or repeating affirmations. don't solely focus on your breathing.
like i mentioned before, sometimes when we tend to hyper focus on one thing and overthink how we perform it, we can end up not performing that action well and improperly.
but anyways, please look after yourself and your health! and if you find it's happening more often and it's worrying you, please don't be afraid to go to a doctor!
good luck on your shifting journey!

A Guide On Shifting Methods!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
table of contents ⬎
1⌇opening message⋄glossary
2⌇what is a shifting method⋄ shifting symptoms⋄ list of methods
3⌇misconceptions
hey guys, it's c! this post is going to a be a guide on shifting methods. before i get into how to do each method separately, i wanted to make sure you guys know exactly what a method is! so let's dive in!
Tumblr media
what is a shifting method?
a shifting method is a process you can use to get to your desired reality. like i've said before, you don't need a method to shift to your dr. by using a method to shift, it helps you to focus and feel more connected to that reality you're trying to get to. i'd recommend doing a sleep method, which involves you going to sleep then waking up in your dr. something i'd want you to keep in mind is that a method that works for someone else, probably won't work for you and vice versa. it's a trial and error sort of thing but, stick with one method for at least 2-4 weeks to test it out to see if you get any symptoms or shift/mini-shift in general.
what are shift symptoms?
shift symptoms are what you get when you're doing your method and before you shift. sometimes people feel symptoms and sometimes they don't, and that's more than okay too. if you do get symptoms, there are times you may feel them slightly and times you may feel them very strongly. coming from personal experience, don't be afraid if you start to feel symptoms strongly because your fear may disrupt the process of you shifting like it did for me. Also, just because you're feeling severe symptoms does not mean you shifted. You'll know when you shifted and when to open your eyes.
examples: smelling familiar scents from your dr, dizziness, hearing your name being called by someone in your dr, your room spinning, the feeling of floating out of your body, lights flashing through your eye lids, detaching from this reality, or your surroundings changing etc. the list goes on!
list of methods:
The Raven Method
The Julia Method
The Estelle Method
The Piano Method
The Heartbeat Method
The Lucid Dream Method
The 5 Senses Method
The Valentino Method
The Cinema Method
The Intention Method
Tumblr media
misconceptions
i've already talked about the misconceptions of methods and getting symptoms but i'll talk about them again.
you don't need a method to shift to your desired reality.
the same method that works for someone else, may not work for you.
sometimes you don't feel shifting symptoms.
feeling severe shift symptoms does not mean you shifted.

i hope that you guys found this post useful! feel free to inbox or message me if you have any further questions or want me to do a certain post! Happy Shifting!
xoxo, c!

SMALL BLOG ABOUT SHIFTING SYMPTOMS!!!
Hello guys!! Your shifting parent here! It's 4:18 in the morning so i won't be able to write a lot!
So what are shifting symptoms? Shifting symptoms are the state of your body and mind which makes you feel like you're dizzy, tired, heavier, lighter (etc) while you're doing a shifting method!
They often say to ignore the shifting method because they say it's getting you close to shifting BUT. In realy the symptoms are the feelings your mind gives you to stop you from shift because for starter shifters, the body isn't used to the feel what shifting feels like.
Shortly, you should be happy if you won't feel symptoms but if it makes you entertained you just go on!!! Personally symptoms usually get so intense for me that I see whites, i feel dizzy and spinning but i still keep trying to shift :D
Okay guys that was only today/tonight!
Have a great morning/afternoon/evening/night!!!

Shifting.
Tumblr media
A few months ago I had a bad experience with shifting. (If you don’t want to read anything negative about shifting, please don’t read this.)
So I was doing the raven method (but I made it into my own thing.) It was like 9:40pm and the method was going well. I felt myself floating, so I kept going. And then I felt myself falling, fast. I couldn’t open my eyes, or move my body. It felt like I was falling in the dark for like five minutes. I was eventually able to snap out of it.
I look into shifting symptoms, and I couldn’t find anything like what happened to me.
This happened to me both times I tried the raven method.

Y'ALL
I was scrolling TikTok and I came across one of those "I made ten of these and whichever one you see if meant for you" and the theme was what you did in a past life
And I shit you not, the past life I saw was PIRATES.
The chills I got when I saw that.... 😍😍

Shifting Journal - Symptoms
I’m starting an official mini series about my journey towards shifting. I’ve found it can be really demotivating when your someone like me who hasn't been able to shift for almost 2 years and you keep seeing information from people who were successful after a couple months. I aim to relay things that have helped me get closer to shifting and document it all so we can hopefully shift together.
Symptoms. This is one that really confused me and had me stuck for a really long time. I would constantly hear about various symptoms when trying to shift, and I would often feel none of them. After some time I came to realise that most symptoms that people say you will experience are less a sign of shifting and more a sign of your body falling asleep and your mind staying awake. Which is an experience that helps you shift, but these feelings aren't because you’re shifting.
Putting so much importance also reduced my ability to progress in my shifting journey, because i would start aiming for the symptoms and not the destination. Reducing how much importance I put onto symptoms really helped me move forwards in my journey. Make them something you acknowledge and gloss over, not focus on.
This mindset has really helped me. I used to get symptoms then feel like I couldn’t push through that last barrier into my DR. Now without the limiting thoughts of putting these symptoms onto this pedestal I’ve been able to get much further. The next step is to really change my mindset, I really need to believe I can step into a new reality.
This was very personally beneficial to me, if you feel like this resonates with you then I’m happy I could bring this to your attention. However, if this absolutely does not resonate with you thats okay! Whatever helps and works for you, shifting is very personal.
NOTE: I have not shifted myself, this is me sharing things that have helped me. I am happy for and even encourage discussion under my posts. I want people to talk about how long it’s taken them, talk with people who have and people who haven't shifted!

Let's Talk About My First Shifting Symptom:
It was early summer 2020
It was seemingly a normal day and at the time I only had a few attempts under my belt and them being fruitless. I also decided to change my script to what I have now. That night I was getting ready for bed I had taken a shower and got my pajamas on. Then I walked into my bathroom.
The moment I stepped in there it felt off. Everything I was seeing was normal but what I was hearing was not what it was supposed to be. I'm like connecting to the wrong radio station.
As I was brushing my teeth I heard echoing footsteps going down a white hallway. But the slate and jingle of something metallic.
Then as it was just about to pass me I heard then stumble and drop what sounded like a crateful of dumbbells onto their foot and then immediately followed by the unmistakable sound of BAKUGO SCREAMING "FUUUUCK!!!" at the top of his fucking lungs.
XD
I immediately busted out laughing almost choking on the toothpaste!!!
.
Mother in the other room: [DEAD NAME] are you okey?
Me panicked: UMM...I-I HEARD A GHOST YELL FUCK!!
