oh this is a yummy question. ill tell you what i want and do not want in any way shape or form & also this might be long so ill put it under the cut

MORE THAN ANYTHING ON THIS PLANET EARTH I WANT:

-SCARECROW AS THE NEXT VILLAIN. He has to be so sexy and he cannot be sidelined the way he was in nolans films. in my eyes cillian murphy was the most perfect scarecrow like inherently thats just a very sexy guy (scarecrow & cillian LMAO) and i really want them to keep up with like a scary cryptic eerie even horror theme. so obviously we cant cast cillian again so im thinking of a really gaunt actor with loads of sex appeal in that odd way, also i dont want him really old and grandpa looking but not super young either bc hes a professor and/or a doctor depending on what route we're taking....mentally im thinking hes starting off as a professor and follow that storyline of how he shoots a gun in class and gets fired (And because i am a genius i want harley to be in this class obviously before she becomes harley...i just want her to be like teased here as a student interested in psychology but more thoughts on that later) SO IN TERMS OF CASTING Im having a really hard time thinking of tentative actors rn But idk. ill update if i think of someone i swear, its just hard to pin that type of actor until you see him

-MINOR VILLAINS In this one i think if we're keeping like a subtle theme of professors & doctors for this film while also utilizing the same method/strategy from the first film of having 1 main villain(riddler), 1 side villain(penguin), & 1 female character(selina) then i want Scarecrow as the main villain, Professor Pyg as the side villain, and Poison Ivy as both a side villain and new female character in the mix. THIS ISNT TO SAY I DONT WANT THE FORMER VILLAINS TO NOT REOCCUR I DOOOOO I DO Obviously riddler in arkham and penguin building off of falcones empire and Selina is obviously coming back to gotham, id like to think shes gonna get rich in bludhaven and come back with a new rich lady persona lol. BUT IM OFF TRACK. Pam is a doctor and Pyg is a professor. crane is both <3 and tbh im adding pam because i love her so much but honestly idk how she'd fit into the plot, especially with how im really striving for this to really lean into the horror & gore aspect which is like obvious with scarecrow and pyg. In reference to casting an actor for pyg idrc but for miss PAMELA..........Light of my life fire of my loins....i really want dakota johnson. the likelihood of that happening really fell when she signed on for that spider-man whatever film but i think she makes a lot of sense for this role given that shes a really gifted actress and has proven her versatility through her indie films and Suspiria like hello. also in suspiria she had that gorgggg red hair so like bam theres your ivy. she also has that innate sex appeal associated with her just with her natural sexiness LMAO AND 50 SHADES HELLO? It just makes lots of sense to me.

-3RD FILM! Our grand finale film.....to me (even tho idrc about him) i think the main villain obviously has to be the joker. like we're leading up to this final act final film in the trilogy (even tho we like. dont have to stop here. we can keep going and make More trilogies ofc..) so yeah its gotta be him. LET ME ALSO PREFACE BY SAYING IM NOT KEEN ON BARRY KEOGHAN AS THE JOKER....he doesnt have the. um.......range........LIKE HES VERY TALENTED. I love killing of a sacred deer. But honestly when i heard his voice in the film i could only hear barry not joker. like hes not a chameleon type of actor where you dont see him at all and he disappears into the part. you can Only see him and hear him yk. And he also isnt very threatening to me? Hes short (like 5'7 or 5'8?) whereas Rob is 6'1. so thats like. not a very imposing threatening villain imo. SINCE HE WAS CREDITED AS UNSEEN ARKHAM PRISONER.....IT IS NOT TOO LATE FOR A RECAST! :) and i think that the perfect joker to go against rob's bruce would be..........a man that has worked with warner brothers in the past..........a man that is also very tall.......a man that is lanky..........a man with an odd sort of sex appeal in that unconventionally attractive way...........a man with Experience playing a clown..........ladies & gentlemen put ur hands together for.........BILL SKARSGARD. I am a genius, thank you. and to keep up with the theme of having a new girl pop up in each film naturally we introduce a new harley quinn here with him! She is completely jester villain harley. Dc needs to remember that not all popular characters have to be antiheroes or heroes. it is ok for harley to be a villain. Ok! So shes gonna be a villain here :) Im thinking very arkham games harley, and i think enough time will have passed between this new rendition of the character and margots portrayal, so we as a society will be able to accept a new actress at this point LOL. And i also think that sydney sweeney will have also aged into the part by the time of filming this potential 3rd film. Id love her to pop up as a college student in crane's class in the 2nd film, like smiling while everyones freaking out when he shoots the gun LOL. I really love sydney and i think she would eat this up.

-MISCELLANEOUS WANTS THRU OUT THE TRILOGY! I need batcat like officially set in stone in the second film. like none of those frustrating tropes like when she gets back to gotham THEY FUCK OK BC THEY MISSED EACH OTHER BAD. AND THEY GO AT IT ON THE ROOFTOP like they so often do in the comics. And i need him to reveal his identity like oh my god i need them like in it together NOW. The soulmateism. AND WITH CRANE AS THE VILLAIN. HE USES HIS TOXINS ON BRUCE AND HIS ONE FEAR IS LOSING HER. Bye

-MORE ARKHAM MOMMY STUFF. I really adore the fact that bruce is genuinely sick in the head. Like properly mental. A real head case. Its in his actual blood. I KNOW that they need to keep it pg13 but omg you have no idea how bad i need to see him cut. OR AT LEAST HAVE HIM TALK ABOUT IT. ITS LITERALLY PART OF HIS VOW.................anyway

-COURT OF OWLS. MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE & I hate it! People that say they want it are just trying to sound pretentious and cool and act like they know a lot of stuff but they really dont :) The whole concept of the court eradicates the entire point of gothams rogues gallery AND their agency as individuals with motives! the idea of a court pulling the strings in the background undermines the supernatural element of gotham (an undying city of evil, where does it all come from, etc.) and diminishes batman's position as a chosen warrior, selected by gotham herself. it seems so misguided to make the waynes' murders as anything other than a senseless death, revealing gotham for what it is and what a charitable hand cannot defeat--reframing it as a planned assassination removes context as a whole (the class disparity, the will of the citizens, etc.) ANYWAY I hate them as an idea and i hate their execution. Matt wouldnt do this to me.

A/N: I was doing the dishes yesterday and the song “I Don’t Need To Know”, by Maddie and Tae, came on. I couldn’t stop thinking about this idea for a Rowaelin AU... So I wrote it! I’m very proud of myself for finishing this first part and wanted to challenge myself into posting it. Where anyone could read it. Who knew this was so nerve wrecking (major props to all the authors out there who do this on a regular basis). Thank you for reading :)

The silence is the only tolerable thing about the Western Wastes, as far as Rowan’s opinion is concerned. The improvised base his team is staying at is close to the routes they have to watch, but far enough from Briarcliff that all he can hear at night is the wind and sounds from people around camp, minimal noise at one in the morning. It almost made the heat during the day and the dust that was everywhere tolerable, this peacefulness at night time. Almost.

On the outer edge of the base, Rowan lets himself fall against one of the vehicles to try to take his mind off of the never ending meeting he just had with mission command. He should probably be going to bed, but there is too much information swirling around his mind to just lay down and sleep. He takes his phone out of the pocket, there are a few unanswered texts he didn’t have time to look at during the day.

Running a hand through his silver hair, he opens the conversation with his mother. He is met sequence of photos: a beautiful lasagna his mom cooked as dinner for the evening, a selfie of his parents as they beam at the camera, a shot of the pup they had recently adopted as he destroyed what looked a lot like one of his dad’s shoes. Rowan’s soft smile can’t be fought, taking over before he knows it.

This isn’t the first time he is deployed somewhere far from home and it will not be the last, so it’s not as if he isn’t used to it. But some days are particularly harder than others, and today he is specially missing his family and his life in Terrasen. Next week, he will complete three months away and officially reach the middle of his service. Rowan replies to his mother’s pictures with one of his own, capturing the sky full of stars above him and wishes her a good night, even though she won’t be seeing this until morning.

There are more messages in the group chat he is in with his cousins, but he just scrolls past those. Apparently, they had all gone out to some bar tonight and drunk texting had ensued. Nothing that made sense, so Rowan didn’t even bother trying to decipher what any of it meant. A private chat with one of his cousin’s catches his eyes, though.

Sellene: heyyy, went out todaay nd u wont believe who i just saw

Sellene: that is aelin right???

Sellene: this dress is gorgggg do yuo think i can go ask where its from?

The picture is blurry and there are a lot of people in the shot, but he would recognize the blonde woman anywhere, in any crowd. Aelin Galathynius is wearing a red dress that seems to have been made just for her, based on the way it fits her body perfectly. Standing next to her is another woman with dark brown hair, probably Lysandra, and another shorter one, Elide, if he had to guess. Rowan can’t seem to breath right and his body tenses.

He hasn’t really seen Aelin in four months, since they broke up and he deleted all the photos he had with her on his phone. Seeing her now is a shock to say the least. They did not end their relationship in the best of terms. One fight, and it was as if the year they spent together, the best of Rowan’s life, meant nothing, both too proud and too angry to back down and be civil. Even thinking about her sets him on edge. Sellene must have been really drunk to text him this. The more he reads of the thread, the stronger the ache in his heart gets.

Sellene: was goin up to her but someone arrived :/

Sellene: do u know who that is?? ive never seen him

Sellene: is it too weird if i go up there and say hi, remember me? sellene ur ex’s cousin also where is ur dress from? endy says it is…. boohooo

The second picture his cousin sent is also of Aelin, but now she is sitting on a corner booth at whatever bar they were in. And there is a guy right next to her, way too close and staring way too deeply into her turquoise ringed with gold eyes, not visible in this photo, but forever etched into Rowan’s memories, for him to pretend he doesn’t know what was happening.

Rowan’s hand tenses around his phone and the silence he appreciated just minutes ago now makes everything worse. Because the love of his life is miles and miles away, in someone else’s arms, laughing at him with the smile that has been the star of all of Rowan’s dreams since they met, and he has no one to blame but himself for this pain. And there is nothing he can do, not just due to the fact that he is in the Wastes while Aelin is all the way in Orynth, but because she has moved on, and now it’s too damn late.

Sellene: now everyone is making angry faces at me bc i told them i sent u the pics

Sellene: but the way i see it u should know that ur ex is moving the fuck on so u can just text that girl i told u about alreadyyy

Sellene: srry if that was rude, but u deserve to be happy too

Rowan stands up straight and gives himself a second to think his reply through. He isn’t feeling very rational right now and doesn’t want to be rude to his clearly plastered cousin. It’s not as if he hasn’t considered whether Aelin has gotten over him before tonight, imagining what was going on in her life, what she was doing and who with, when he was feeling particularly bad. But it is different from seeing it so clearly. Hurts a hell of a lot more now that it’s not just him beating himself up over his stupidity for letting her go, now that this is reality. He settles with the true.

Rowan: i dont need to know who is keeping aelin company

Rowan: so stop telling me

On the walk back to his sleeping quarters, he deletes the conversation with Sellene. Rowan doesn’t need any more reminders of what he has lost.
