I was talking about this with @reds-hub-and-main but one of the biggest pet peeves Allison has is people who think they can "change her."

Whether it be those that think they can "fix" her from being the broken fallen angel that she is, restoring her to her "former glory" and "restoring her lost potential." Taking the credit for "saving her from herself." Just another Romeo in disguise...

Or, alternatively, they'll try to still what's left of her purity. "Corrupt" her and turn her into a twisted seductress of their own making. They'll try to lead her down a dark path only leave her down there and go on to the next conquest.

Basically? Don't go into a relationship thinking you can "change" her. Love her as she is, and as she grows, or just fuck off.

I love how... Roxy refuses to dance around things. She trims the fat, cuts the bullshit, and dives straight into the heart of the matter. Especially if it's concerning the wellbeing of her friends, or if she feels like somebody is hiding something from her. Roxy isn't confrontational, but she isn't a pacifist either. She simply has a tolerance threshold that has reasonable limits and she isn't afraid to say that enough is enough. Which is why she can be... "something else" to those who know, or might know her.

We are just going into Tuesday and it's already a long week for me. One thought whirling in my mind is that it is harder to see the numbers of bookmarks or subscriptions for one of your fics go down then don't see the numbers go up. You start second guessing yourself. Did the latest chapter disappoint that reader who left? Was it the story? Was it the writing itself? Who knows. Just tired thoughts over here. I won't make too much of it. 😒

I just re-read the chapters I posted for Runaway Swan and Heart Bound. Dialogue is so tough for me to write. I worry I'm not in character, that the wording is strange. Runaway Swan had more dialogue in this new chapter than it had in the last three put together and it was still funny! I actually laughed at parts. The back and forth was not too serious and still moved the plot forward. I know it's a movie AU and bits are from the dialogue in the film, but I only copied small pieces, and the rest is me. I thought to myself, I've still got it! That's progress. Heart Bound was super sweet and I know I probably "borrowed" from myself in some of my other CS fics for some description, but I still love how it turned out.

With writing, art or anything creative, I guess that's the most important part - that the end product makes you happy. However, please do chime in if anyone has noticed anything about my writing that I can't see. Constructive criticism is always welcome!
