Have ya’ll ever hyperfixated on multiple things at once? Like, I can always FEEL when I’m in hyperfixating/hyperfocusing mode. I KNOW when I’m hyperfixating on something really hard. And I definitely know when I’m hyperfocusing. But over the past few days, I have been experience all the signs and feelings of a hyperfixation spree, but for multiple things.

I have been banging out pages and pages of writing and fic stuff for my She-Ra Horde Squad AUs. So many of my reblogs over the past week or so have just all been related to the Collector. And yesterday I started watching multiple videos on Welcome Home and liking every piece of fanart I can possibly find. I’ve been flopping back and forth between almost constantly thinking about my Horde Squad AUs or the Collector, and it’s nonstop.

Kyle, Lonnie, and Rogelio finally decide on their rooming situation in my brain (bunk beds), before Colly interrupted them and said that I made a new AU for them (Colly) and I said they could live in that particular house (the Hyperfixation House) in my brain. This has caused a major housing problem on who gets to stay in the front of my brain, and they’ve been debating about it for days.

Things were already messy and it seemed like it would be really difficult to resolve, and then Wally waltzes into my brain and cheerfully asks if he can have an apartment. I tell him that new residents of the Blorbohood in my brain always get to stay in the guest room of the Hyperfixation House for their first few months as they get settled in and find a house of their own. He thanks me and strolls in only to find Kyle and the Collector having a fistfight on who I can focus on today.

Thus far, they haven’t been having too many problems with Wally, but that’s only because I only think about him whilst on Tumblr, I’m new to the fandom, and I haven’t started any AUs or projects for this one. So right now, my brain is just a mess as I hyperfocus on multiple things at once right when a new blorbo decided to move in.

I am in distress. Please help me.

The Former Horde Soldiers Discovering New Things part 1: Hot baths

Because warmth was basically non-existent in the Horde and they didn’t have the best stuff either, the concept of warm water and nice-smelling bubbles is kinda strange at first to the former Horde soldiers. They’d probably be like “So I just... sit in it? And that’s it? And the bubbles just do nothing?”

Adora would be the first one to know about warm bubble baths as she left the Horde first, and Bow was horrified to hear there wasn’t warm water in the Horde so him and Glimmer would run her an amazing bath with scenty bubbles. Adora was mildly freaked out but she felt so much less crusty than she did when she was in the Horde (cause the shit there has gotta make you crusty dusty and musty) and she loved it a lot.

When Catra first discovers hot baths (because her hair looks C R U N C H Y), she at first glares down at the bathtub of water like “I am NOT getting in that” (Cause she hates water). But then someone (presumably Bow) gets some coconut scented bubble bath and Catra smells it and her eyes go all big and cute, it's like the best thing she's ever smelled, and then she's like “You know what, fuck it-” and eventually gets in cause she loves the coconut scent but her arms and legs are dead stiff, kinda like how a cat is when you try to put them in water.

And then when she’s blowdried her fur PUFFS UP. Bow’s like “AWWWWW YOU’RE SO CUTE *cue Bow’s adorable voice crack*”, causing Catra to be even angrier and even poofier.

Glimmer: Awww Catra you look like a tumbleweed-

Catra: SHUT THE FUCK UP SPARKLES I SWEAR TO GOD *Poofs up to the point where she looks like a literal cotton pompom*

When Scorpia first discovers bubble baths, she gets SO EXCITED OMG- she LOVES THE SCENTY BUBBLES, and the feeling of warm water. Also she would 100,000% sing in the shower, pretty loudly but she has a lovely voice to listen to.

(This is probably gonna be a new series where the former Horde soldiers discover new things.)

Fleshed Out AU Introduction

The long awaited (okay, not really that long, and not really that awaited) secondary AU I am putting on this blog is now out and ready to be properly introduced!

The Fleshed Out AU is simple: it is simply fleshing out minor (yet reoccurring) side characters in a way that wouldn’t disrupt the original narrative and plot of the show. It is basically presenting ideas for how the crew could maybe have better worked with some of their well liked yet underutilized side characters or made their stories more impactful.

The idea is to be able to flesh out (and maybe give arcs to) these minor characters using only the time they are given on screen (plus a little extra) and one episode (per group. Ex: A rewrite of Protocol, maybe an episode before Season 5 that can actually make us care about Netossa and Spinerella). If some of the ideas introduced in the little bits and pieces I will spread throughout the show sound super interesting, then I can make little spin-off/side-story things.

For example, I’ve been putting a lot of work into my rewrite of “Protocol” for this AU, and I added a (relatively important) bit in which Rogelio has what is basically an audio/video diary. This is one of the ways we get to see his inner thoughts and perspective, and I just thought it would be kinda cool and add a little something to his character. I liked this idea so much, that I ended up making it into its own fic. That will basically be a side-story for this AU.

I also have an idea of introducing a potentially mini spin-off (would probably be a comic) to the show following the Horde Squad after they left the Horde, and it focuses on a lot of side characters and even extremely minor characters. It would probably give off some zombie-apocolypse/western vibes. It could be so much fun. I can list random ideas for that off the top of my head and have tons of fun with it.

Basically, this AU is what I initially wanted PPHS to be (still keeping PPHS, just not gonna confine it to the show), but it’s also its own thing.

I’ll present more ideas, but those will be in their own posts.

Given that Entrapta used the vents of the Fright Zone as her personal transit system for months if not years, there were probably many fans, baffles, and filters that were never put back into place.

The routes between her most commonly visited locations would therefore be the most likely places for this to happen, namely the vents between her quarters, the Sanctum, and the dining hall. With all that stuff out of the way in the vents, I bet sound would carry between those locations quite a bit. Not most sounds, not normal conversation, but I wonder if one day Kyle, Lonnie, and Rogelio were grabbing a snack and heard some slapping noises followed by "Fuck me like you mean it, Hordak!" echoing through the vents.

Bets were settled that day and Kyle needed therapy. Well, he needed it even more than previously.
