Of all the things that could've happened, this was not the one he was expecting. Being punished for a crime he didn't commit... it makes his skin crawl with anger and insecurity.
In the end, he knew it had to be done. Alex has more experience, he's the better driver and their best chance at scoring any kind of points. Logan had spent the last few hours pacing the room, mulling over all the reasons this is logical. The reasons he shouldn't be upset about this.
It just - it doesn't cancel out all the feelings he's having about it. No matter how much he rationalizes it, he's still upset. With Alex, James, the team, but most of all - with himself. He's not good enough to be here. He's here for one reason and that is to be the token American and bring in more American fans because money. Which can't be good for the people getting the money, considering he's probably getting all their eyes stuck in the back of their heads from rolling them so hard each time he crashes out.
He needs her or Oscar, or both of them. Immediately before he can drown in the waves of emotions that are raging. Until then, he's going to continue the repetitive motion of pacing this hotel room. Further allowing himself to think a hole into the floor.
Then the door slams open. "Logan!" She does end up sending them both to the ground since he wasn't expecting the full force of her weight. "You weren't there so we panicked. Searched all of Williams before we ran into Alex and he told us what happened..." She's all the way wrapped around him now despite having to wriggle her limbs between his body and the floor.
"She tried to punch him." Oscar, who's stoic expression to most reads a million emotions to him, decided to sit on the floor next to them. He heaves Logan's head into his lap. One of his favorite spots because his thighs.
"...Did you get him?"
"No! Oscar stopped me before I could! The he dragged me out of the paddock because apparently setting fire to your garage 'won't solve the problem.'" She does her best Oscar impersonation. Something about it makes him feel calmer. It may not be getting his car back, but he knows they are willing to fight for him.
"Arson is never the answer; sabotage is." The words leave his lips so casually that Logan and the female have to take a second to register it.
Logan blinks up at him. "Osc, what did you do?"
"Absolutely nothing."
There is a silence that follows because both of them know he's lying. Oscar is sneaky and ruthless when he wants to be. Logan shoots him a look of disbelief.
"Okay, so I might have moved a bunch of the mechanics tools while they were out of the garage prepping for the change of parts. They may or may not be hidden around the garage and in inconvenient locations... and I might have also moved everyone's headphones around."
Logan nearly bursts. The small act was still one that was in his defense. Not blatant or in the teams face, just Oscar making them think it's karma or something.
The female, who's been peppering any area within reach with kisses, freezes when Oscar finishes. "How did I not notice this?!"
"You were busy trying to escape from Lando to fight James. It wasn't that difficult, really."
She grumbles something incoherent into Logan's chest. Obviously flustered at the idea of not being able to take revenge the way she intended and Oscar having all the fun in the meantime.
It's nice, the soft tender touches and the loving words. How he can say with such confidence that the two people here with him, comforting him, when they could be doing anything else, that they love him.
Logan chokes. The weight of all the emotions finally breaking through the dam everyone else is trying to poke holes in. The hands that were holding her gently despite her death grip, are now clutching at the fabric of her shirt like his life depends on it.
"Shh, let it out now Lo. This can't have been easy." Oscar is still carding his hands through the mess of blonde hair. "William's made a poor choice in the eyes of most."
"But it's the most logical choice! It makes sense they would give Alex my car. Why can't I just suck it up and move on?"
The is a soft hum against his chest, then a thumb - her thumb - stroking his jawline in a comforting repetitive motion. "Because you're allowed to feel, Logan. You're allowed to hurt. What you're not allowed to do is let this break you. You've spent all winter training, working, practicing, and building your confidence to let this one thing destroy that. If you need to scream, if you need to punch something - then fine." It takes a second to register that she's also crying. "Just don't try to leave us again... please."
"I'm not leaving. Not when I have you two here. Not when I still have people to prove wrong."
He can hear the smirk on Oscar's voice despite not being in the best position to confirm it. "Good, because I need you to record the engineers and James for me. And we would miss your pretty face, but you already know that."
They stay there until the sun goes down. Just breathing, being in the moment. Their phones off so nobody can bother them.
Until a knock on the door has Oscar moving. The other two groan at the loss, but are happy at the discovery of food.
"When did you order room service?"
"While you two were asleep."
Logan must have really been out of it given he had no idea he was asleep. The smell of food makes his mouth water, he hadn't eaten since the morning.
More then that - Oscar is indulging in his comfort food. "I figured you could use a cheat day after this."
"I should have bad days more often if it means you'll get me food." It's a half hearted laugh mixed with a grimace.
"No, you can have this whenever you want. Don't need to wait for the bad days to do something nice for yourself." The, still half asleep, female who is refusing to detach from him, says into his shoulder.
It's not like he can stop himself from feeling the whirlwind of emotions, but he has people to ground him.
Because the bad days come, but it makes the good days even better.

Tumblr media
I collapsed on the grass outside, breathing out with relief once the fresh night air cooled me down and the music from inside wasn't so loud anymore. How I'd let Van convince me to attend a house party was beyond me, but as my best friend, she usually got her way.
Tonight though, I may have gotten a little carried away and drank more than usual, feeling somewhat lightheaded and lazy. Drunk me wasn't so fun, so I'd come outside to cool off and catch myself, away from the compact house of some jock I didn't know.
As I relaxed, trying to tune out the few teens that were milling around the front lawn, I heard a commotion by the front door. Some couple were arguing, their voices familiar as they left the house and grew louder.
"–can't just check out other girls right in front of me!"
"I wasn't! God, you're overreacting, Jackie, you always do this!"
I sat upright, pushing my hair from my eyes as I glanced in the direction of Van's soccer teammate and the most popular girl in our grade, Jackie Taylor, arguing with her boyfriend, Jeff Sadecki.
The last thing I cared about was their relationship troubles, but they were so damn loud and I was suddenly entertained by their back and forth. From what I could gather in my drunken state, Jeff had been distracted by some girls, flirting with one of them, but didn't deem it flirting like Jackie did.
"–just forget it, we're over!" Jackie shouted at him, throwing her cup on the grass with frustration.
Jeff scoffed. "Whatever. I don't need this."
He returned to the house as Jackie clenched her jaw, still angry. She fumbled for a cigarette and lighter from her purse with irritation, her clumsy hands betraying how much she'd drank tonight too. Thoughtlessly watching, I saw one of Jeff's friends, Leroy something-or-the-other, trail out the house and approach her.
Not shouting like Jeff and Jackie had been a moment ago, the two of them were talking and I couldn't hear their conversation. Or rather Leroy was chatting up Jackie and she was visibly uncomfortable, attempting to step back. He began to get touchy though, his hands grabbing her arm, and whether it was a sense of female camaraderie or my absolutely stupid alcohol-soaked brain, I felt the need to intervene.
Dragging myself up off the grass, I stumbled over to them and fixed Leroy with a glare.
"She clearly doesn't want you here," I said in what I hoped wasn't a babble of English.
"Back off, bitch," Leroy sneered at me, before stepping closer to Jackie and letting his hand slip to her butt.
Jackie jumped at his unwanted touch, hazel eyes widened with panic, and without thinking, I made a swing at Leroy's face, fist connecting with his nose in a sickening crack.
A groan escaped my lips as I grasped my hand – what the fuck was his face made of?! – and then I realised what I did as he stumbled back, clutching his face. I saw a glimpse of blood, and then Jackie's widened eyes looked between us, and I knew I was fucked.
"You little bitch!" he shouted, before making a sloppy swing at my head, to which I thankfully still had the instinct to duck away from.
Not ready to finish this fight I definitely didn't mean to start, I shoved him back to buy time then grabbed Jackie's hand, telling her quickly, "Time to go!"
Thankfully she got the hint and I yanked her away, the two of us running as fast as we could. Leroy chased after us and I risked glancing over my shoulder, watching him trip over his own feet and buying us enough time to leg it down the street.
"Here," I said breathlessly, pulling Jackie down behind a car.
The two of us practically held our breath as we kneeled down, frozen in place. I didn't doubt that Leroy would kill me, and her by association, and I began to wonder how I'd even ended up in this situation.
Jackie risked glancing around the back of the car before sighing with relief. "He's not following us."
Mirroring her sigh, I turned around and sank to the ground fully, back against the car. She joined my side, both of us reeling from what happened. I glanced down at my hand, aware that it should be hurting but not quite registering the pain. It was distant, the alcohol fogging my mind.
"What the hell was that?" Jackie asked, reminding me she was there.
Dazed, I tilted my head and stared at the road. "That wasn't your boyfriend, was it? I can't remember."
She let out a breath before giggling. "No. That was my ex-boyfriend's idiot friend."
Making sense of it all again, I nodded. "Right. Yeah. What a dick."
"Yeah," she agreed.
Feeling hot and a little dizzy, I tried to focus on the present and looked over at her. "Are you okay?"
She nodded, her curled blonde hair bouncing as she did. "Yeah. Thanks to you." Hazel eyes flickered to mine in gratitude, and I could only shrug in response.
A silence fell upon us for a moment, and I suddenly became aware of how this was probably the most I'd ever spoken to Jackie Taylor in my life. We'd been in the same class since we were kids, and despite her being on the same soccer team as Van, there had never been need for us to converse. Until now, I guess.
"I feel sick," she suddenly said, and I noticed her face was a little pale.
"Then throw up," I said tiredly.
She scrunched her face with disgust, shaking her head. I shrugged, not caring, and then she leaned to the left and threw up a little. I pulled a face as she straightened up lazily, wiping her mouth.
"I've gotta go home," she said.
I checked my watch, but it did nothing to help because the hands were moving in all sorts of directions. "Same. I think."
She began to snicker, glancing sideways at me. "Leroy just might kill you."
A little delusional and finding her amusement contagious, I began to laugh. Leroy probably would, but right now, I couldn't care less.
She lifted a finger in the air with realisation. "Shauna," she exclaimed. "She'll drive."
"I can't leave Van," I remembered, as she stood up and yanked me up with her.
"I'll go get her," she promised, already tugging me back to the house, where Shauna's car was parked out front. "Don't move."
I saluted clumsily, waiting by Shauna's car and almost falling asleep against the door as Jackie seemed to take years to return. Finally, her, Van and Shauna all came back, Van shooting me an amused glance as she helped me off the door.
"What the hell happened to you?" she asked with a stifled laugh. "Jackie said you punched Leroy?"
I waved a dismissive hand. "Barely."
She definitely wanted to know more but thankfully kept quiet as she helped me into the backseat, sliding in beside me.
"You two are gonna regret this in the morning," Shauna was saying from the driver's seat, but it went in one ear and out the other.
I vaguely remembered Shauna dropping me off home and Van helping me into my bedroom later that evening before passing out.
The next morning, my hangover hit me hard, but not harder than the pain from my broken knuckle. After waking up with a purple right hand, terrible memories from the night before reminded me of what I'd done, and after accepting that Leroy was going to kill me at some point, I went to the hospital with my mum who didn't seem to believe I'd punched a wall whilst drunk. Still, leaving with a splint and cast on my hand was worth it if it meant stopping some jerk from getting handsy.
School on the following Monday was definitely something to dread, mainly because I wasn't sure what would happen. Of course, after getting some stares off other students – word had undoubtedly spread about the incident – I stopped by my locker and was mildly surprised to see the word 'BITCH' scribbled in permanent marker pen across it.
"Lovely," I said sarcastically, before ignoring it, not wanting to give bystanders a show.
I opened it as usual and put my skateboard inside, mindful of my hand, when I felt someone bump into me from behind on purpose. I clenched my jaw when I turned and saw it was Leroy walking past, a bandage across his nose.
"Bitch," he muttered with bitterness.
"Yours truly." I returned his glare, before looking back to my locker.
If he was going to hate on me for stepping in as he sexually assaulted a girl, then let him. I'd never liked him anyway, the worst of Jeff's idiot friends. But hey, at least I'd broken his nose.
I'd like to say it ended there, but not even a moment later, his girlfriend whom I'd forgotten existed until she appeared by my side with a threatening glare, decided to defend his stupid arse.
"You better back off," she attempted to warn me. "I know it was you who broke his nose."
I quirked a brow with disbelief. "Do you know why?"
She scoffed. "Because you're a bitch."
I furrowed my brows, wondering if she was choosing to be this dense. "Tiffany, your arsehole boyfriend groped another girl."
She rolled her eyes. "Like I'd believe you."
I snorted with amusement. "Fine. Don't. I really don't care."
She stepped closer to me with narrowed eyes. "Stay the fuck away from us, bitch."
I rolled my eyes as she left, wondering how I'd managed to make so many enemies in the space of one night. Unfazed though, I continued to grab some books from my locker and ignored the looks I was getting from students with nothing better to do. This would all blow over in a few days, I just knew it.
When I closed my locker, I jumped, startled, when I saw Jackie stood behind it.
"Jesus," I said, clutching my chest. "A warning would be nice."
"Sorry," she said awkwardly, before her eyes fell to the cast on my hand and widened slightly. "Fuck."
"Hi to you too," I replied sarcastically.
She shook her head apologetically before meeting my gaze. "Friday night. That was... a lot."
I nodded, just as uncomfortable as she sounded. "Uh huh."
She pursed her lips, glancing at my graffiti'd locker. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen. But I'm thankful for your help. You really showed him."
Not wanting her to feel bad, I tried to lighten the mood. "Yeah, his brick head kind of broke my knuckle, but it was totally worth it."
She cracked a small smile, eyes flickering to my hand again. "Sorry."
I shrugged her apology off easily. "Seriously, Jackie, you don't need to say anything. Honestly, we were both drunk and I probably could have handled the situation better, but what's done is done. We're good."
She relaxed a little, nodding in agreement, though I couldn't tell if she was satisfied by my response. When she didn't say anything, I held my books to my chest awkwardly.
"So... see you in class," I said.
"Right," she agreed, and then we both turned to walk to class, only to fall into step with one another. "Same class," she mumbled when she noticed, and I tried not to laugh.
"Same class," I agreed, and a silence fell between us as we reached the classroom.
After exchanging a final glance, we split off to our seats, her joining Shauna's side as I found my usual spot next to Van. When she spotted me, she was already laughing at the sight of my bandaged hand.
"I can't believe you punched him," she said instantly, making me roll my eyes.
"Glad this is funny to you," I said playfully, giving her a disapproving look.
She continued to tease me. "I leave you alone for five minutes, Y/N! God, I wish I could've seen it. Everybody's talking about it. Apparently you broke Leroy's nose."
"Something like that," I mumbled as she laughed with amazement.
She continued to ramble about what people had been saying, enjoying how awkward I was at the attention, and I let my eyes wander around the classroom as I tried to tune her out. They subconsciously drifted to Jackie, who was listening to something Shauna was saying to her, and then she glanced at me and I quickly looked away, embarrassed I'd been caught.
I was relieved to see that the graffiti on my locker had been scrubbed off (terribly, but I wasn't complaining) by the cleaners last night, as when I showed up to school the next morning, it was gone. My headphones were on as I replaced my books for the morning, mindlessly getting ready for homeroom.
There was nothing out of the ordinary as I did, my eyes glancing around casually, and then I saw Jackie a little ways down the hall, leaning against the lockers with her apparently-not-so-ex-boyfriend, Jeff. I couldn't care less, but she must have felt my eyes as she awkwardly made eye contact, smile fading slightly, and I looked away. Whether she was back with Jeff or not wasn't my business – she was barely a friend, let alone someone whose relationship I cared for – but it felt strange knowing she would choose to go back to him after everything that had happened.
Once I'd grabbed my books, I pulled my headphones off and stuffed them and my walkman into my backpack. I was forced to walk past a flirtatious Jackie and Jeff, eyes trained ahead, and tried not to think much more on it as I went to homeroom.
I settled at my desk, flicking through my English book when I saw Van wasn't here yet, and began to look over my homework a final time before next period. In my own world, I was startled when someone appeared at my desk, looking up to see Jackie stood there.
"Er... hi?" I greeted with a quirked brow.
She swallowed awkwardly, looking uncomfortable. "What you saw just then, with Jeff and I..."
When she didn't continue, I pressed, "What?"
"It's not like it seems," she finished, cheeks tinged pink.
I wasn't sure why she felt the need to explain herself to me of all people, but I answered, "What, that you're back together?"
She pressed her lips together, nodding slightly.
Tilting my head and playing along, I asked, "Well, are you?"
She cleared her throat. "Well, yeah, but–"
"Cool," I cut her off, resisting the urge to roll my eyes. "It's none of my business."
She scoffed slightly. "Yeah, but you're gonna think I'm being stupid after everything that happened–"
Growing tired of this conversation, I said, "Being stupid? You think I think it's stupid that your boyfriend was flirting with other girls and then his friend sexually assaulted you and you're still going back to him?" I tutted sarcastically. "Nah, not stupid at all."
She tensed her jaw slightly, clutching her books to her chest. "It's not like that."
I raised my eyebrows. "Then why are you telling me? You've never cared what I thought before."
She let out a low groan, having no reply, and simply walked away to her seat. Okay, so maybe I was being a little harsh, but it was just odd that she suddenly cared what I thought. And yes, I was judging her terrible life choices, but it wasn't my business.
It didn't matter anyway. I wasn't expecting this to be much of a problem now that she'd (terribly) explained herself to me.
Maybe I underestimated how long jocks could hold grudges for, or maybe I was just stupid for not knowing Leroy would never let things go. All I knew was that my one punch was never letting me live it down, nor letting me go back to being just acquaintances with Jackie Taylor.
About a week after Jackie felt the need to explain her getting back together with Jeff, I was skateboarding home from school like I always did. The crossing on the road was clear, so I started to ride across, headphones on my head as I did. I saw a car in my peripheral vision, but it was further down the road and they could obviously see me, so I thought nothing of it.
That was until it suddenly beeped and stopped right next to me, scaring the shit out of me and making my foot catch the ground, my skateboard slipping out from under me. Heart racing in my chest, I pulled my headphones from my head and sat up, just in time to hear a voice I definitely didn't want to.
"Watch out, loser!"
I looked to my left to see Jeff and Leroy laughing in Jeff's car, impressed with themselves and their ability to startle me. But the real frustration kicked in when I saw Jackie sat in the passenger's seat, flushed red with embarrassment and guilt as she glanced at me. Why was I not surprised?
Clenching my jaw, I stood up and ignored their laughter, instead grabbing my skateboard and finishing crossing the road. They beeped again as they drove off, but I didn't bother sparing them a glance.
My opinion on Jackie Taylor up until this point was practically nonexistent. In my eyes, she was just some popular girl in school who was nice enough to everyone, kind to my best friend who happened to be on the same soccer team as her, and that was it. We rarely crossed paths or spoke, and I'd never thought about her other than if she was right in front of me.
Now, however, she seemed to be in my life a lot more because of one stupid night, and I found my opinion of her worsening as I judged her poor choice of boyfriend and those she surrounded herself with.
The next day at school, almost to my amusement if I wasn't so irritated by everything that had happened, Jackie found me in homeroom at my desk again. I had a strong sense of deja vu as she hovered before me, uncharacteristically nervous.
"Hey," she spoke first.
I blinked, expressionless, definitely not in the mood for this. "Hi."
It took her a moment to find her words, in which I was growing a little more annoyed by her apparent innocence.
"Yesterday...," she started, "I didn't mean for–"
"What?" I interrupted. "Your jackass boyfriend and his jackass friend to act like jackasses?"
She sighed. "Yeah."
Was she always this irritating? I couldn't remember anymore.
"It's cool, Jackie," I decided to end the conversation, afraid I'd say something I'd regret. "I didn't expect anything less from tweedle-dumb and tweedle-dumber."
I looked back down to my notebook, hoping she'd leave and we could be done with our lives, but she felt the need to keep going.
"He's not always like that," she said gently. "I swear, he–"
"Did you come here just to defend him?" I asked with surprise. "Because I don't wanna hear it."
She frowned, irritable. "No, I just– I wanted you to know that."
I narrowed my eyes at her. "Great apology. Thanks."
Clenching her jaw slightly, she said, "If you gave me a chance to speak, I'd say it."
"Whatever," I mumbled, rolling my eyes and returning my attention to my book.
She huffed with disapproval, making me glance at her with a slight glare. Her playing innocent game was getting old.
"FYI, if you're dating a jackass, that kinda makes you one too," I reminded her when she didn't leave.
She returned my glare before turning on her heel and leaving for her desk. Van soon showed up, taking her seat beside me but noticing the blonde leaving.
"Jackie still on you about your hand?" she asked with amusement. "I keep telling her to get over it, that you're okay. But she feels bad."
I rolled my eyes at the mention of her. "Can't feel that bad if she's still hanging around with douche one and douche two."
Taken aback, Van gave me a look. "Woah, who shit in your cereal this morning?"
I shook my head dismissively, releasing a breath. "Sorry. Nothing. Just tired, I guess."
She clearly didn't believe me, and when I looked up at her, I saw her glancing over to where Jackie was sat, but I refused to look that way. Van smiled in that direction though, greeting her teammate, before giving me a confused look.
"Did you guys fight or something? She looks like you kicked her dog."
"No," I said with mild irritation, before facing forward. "Can we drop this?"
Van chuckled quietly. "Sure, weirdo."
Later that day, I was staring out the window in Chemistry class whilst I waited for other students to make their way in and for class to start. When I felt a presence beside me, I assumed it was my lab partner, Dennis, and straightened up to greet him with a smile, but then I saw it was Jackie placing her bag on the desk and pulling out the stool.
"The hell are you doing?" I asked with furrowed brows, watching as she got comfortable. "Dennis sits there."
"Not today he doesn't," she said knowingly, before waving a hand to Dennis who waved some cash in the air with gratitude.
I dropped my jaw with disbelief. "You paid him?"
She turned to face me, her honey-coloured eyes meeting mine guiltily. "I want to say sorry for real. The only reason you're getting all this aggression from Leroy is because you stuck up for me."
I gave her a sarky look. "Kind of, yeah."
She sighed, rolling her shoulders back. "Well, I'm sorry. I didn't even want Leroy there yesterday, but he needed a ride home and Jeff said yeah. It's no excuse though."
I pressed my lips together, eyes studying her straight face curiously. There was a hint of sincerity somewhere there, and maybe finally putting this to bed would bring things back to normal. But then a smile grew on her lips and any chance of forgiving her went out the window.
"This doesn't make me a jackass now, does it?"
I lifted my brows with disbelief, her pride frustrating me. "Wow. Is that what this is about?"
She shook her head. "No. Of course not. But you should know that I'm not like that."
"Is the only reason you're apologising to change the way I view you?"
Again, she shook her head nonchalantly, and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. Maybe she was nice on the surface, but Jackie Taylor didn't seem genuine in the slightest.
"You know what? Fuck this," I told her, beginning to pack my books away. "I don't need to forgive you and I don't need your fake apologies or games. Just leave me alone. Things were a lot easier before I decided to be nice to you."
She watched me gather my things with bewilderment. "That's not fair."
I stood up and shot her an impatient look. "Whatever. You stick to your delusional princess land with your dick boyfriend and his friends and I'll stick to being a loser. Sound good?"
Her mouth opened with surprise, both offended and taken aback. "Y/N, just– where are you going?"
"To find my actual lab partner," I snapped, before moving past her to find Dennis.
I was beginning to think breaking my knuckle wasn't worth it. Getting involved with Jackie only seemed to bring me misfortune.
A few days passed with Jackie finally seeming to leave me alone. Don't get me wrong, I would occasionally catch her eyes in the hallway or in class, or sometimes she'd need to chat to Van about something and I'd awkwardly wait for her to finish before she'd leave, but she seemed to give up on bothering me with her half arsed apologies.
As for Leroy and his girlfriend, they clearly still held some sort of grudge for me, shooting me glares whenever they saw me. It got to a point where they seriously needed to get over themselves, though I guess that was hard when Leroy's broken nose was a constant reminder that he got decked in the face by a girl.
I was walking down the hallway when I resisted the urge to roll my eyes upon seeing Leroy and Tiffany walking in the opposite direction. I purposely avoided their gaze, not wanting to get into a confrontation with them, but Leroy purposely bumped into my shoulder with force, making me drop my books, and that was my last straw.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" I exclaimed, before picking up my books.
"What did you just say?" Leroy stopped, turning around to fix me with a glare.
I clenched my jaw as I returned it twice as hostile. "You really need to grow up. Your big rock of a head is still in tact, so what's your problem? You think you'd get over this by now."
He looked like he wanted to punch me, but Tiffany stepped forward instead.
"Watch your mouth, bitch," she hissed, making me groan loudly with disbelief.
"He literally harassed another girl, and probably others too!" I reminded her. "Are you insane?!"
"Don't listen to her," Leroy said to her coolly. "She's just jealous."
"I know, baby, I know."
I laughed bitterly, looking between them like they were the world's strangest exhibit. Bystanders were starting to look at the three of us now, probably expecting a fight, but I seriously didn't care.
"You need to get a life and stay out of ours, loser," Leroy threatened me, fist clenching by his side.
"How fucking ironic," I said, shaking my head. "You're the one who won't get over yourself."
"You keep running that mouth of yours and I'll give you a broken nose," Tiffany attempted to threaten me, stepping forward, but she wasn't intimidating in the slightest. "You deserve it after hurting him."
I snorted with amusement. "I would love to see you try." When she squeezed her fists by her side, I glanced at her stupid boyfriend. "What? Can't fight your own battles, big man?"
Steam was practically leaving their ears as they glowered at me, and then the next events happened too quickly for me to make sense of.
Jackie came out of nowhere and stepped between Tiffany and I, saying, "Okay, how about we just–"
But Tiffany punched forward, aiming for me but Jackie got in the way at the same time and Tiffany's fist landed on her face. My eyes widened as Jackie stumbled back into me, clutching her nose, and both Tiffany and Leroy watched on with wide eyes.
"What the fuck?!" I shouted, before holding Jackie upright as I went to look over her face. When I moved her hand away slightly, there was blood streaming from her nose and I couldn't help but exclaim, "Oh my god!"
"What the hell, Jackie!" Tiffany cried out, holding her hand with pain.
"Are you kidding right now?!" Jackie retorted before wincing and holding her nose again, head tilted up to stop the bleeding.
"Okay, everyone move aside!" a teacher pushed through the crowd of entertained students surrounding us. When she spotted Jackie's bleeding nose, she said, "Miss Taylor, you need to go to the nurse's office–"
"I'll take her," I said quickly, before fixing Tiffany with a glare.
"You," the teacher continued, looking to Tiffany, "with me, now."
I didn't wait any longer to watch the death stares from Leroy and Tiffany, instead guiding Jackie to the nurse's office. I still couldn't believe she'd stepped in like that, and also that Tiffany had it in her to punch me. I didn't think she'd actually do it.
"Oh my god, it's running down my throat," Jackie whined with disgust, looking forward again. "I'm gonna be sick."
"Ssshhh, we're almost there," I cut her complaining off, though a large part of me felt extremely guilty.
When we reached the nurse's office, I immediately guided her to the bed to sit upright, whilst the nurse seemed to catch on and immediately jumped into action. I stood back and watched as the nurse gave her some gauze to hold to her nose.
"Is it broken?" Jackie asked with wet eyes, a little dramatically.
"No, dear, it's just a bloody nose," the nurse assured her, before glancing at me. "There's not much else I can do. Just keep changing the gauze and have her drink some water."
I nodded. "Will do. Thanks."
She offered a smile before heading to the other side of the room to finish helping out another student. I watched her leave before joining Jackie's bedside and looking to her with disbelief.
"What the fuck was that?!" I asked.
She moved the gauze so it wasn't blocking her mouth and motioned to her face. "I was trying to stop this from happening."
"A little fucking late," I said sarcastically.
"I figured," she snapped, before her face scrunched up with pain and she closed her eyes momentarily.
My jaw slowly relaxed as I really took the state of her in. The guilt pressed down on my chest – this wasn't her fight and she was certainly not the type of girl to get into one in the first place. Seeing her bloody nose and stained shirt was like seeing a puppy get kicked, and my irritation definitely wasn't helping.
"You shouldn't have got involved," I said with a sigh, sitting at the edge of her bed.
She opened her eyes, bright hazel ones swimming with guilt. "I just wanted to make things right. Show you that I really am sorry. It's not about how you view me and it's not a game. I'm just sorry."
Unlike the last time, she seemed genuine with her apology, and paired with her puppy dog eyes and bloody nose, it was hard for me not to give in.
"Fuck, fine, I forgive you," I breathed out.
She began to smile with relief before leaning back slightly. I frowned, eyes flickering over her guiltily, before I grabbed the spare gauze at her bedside and gently replaced the one in her hand.
"It looks like it's stopping," I said, disposing of the bloody gauze. "God, you're insane."
"It fucking hurts," she cursed, grimacing.
I tried not to smile as I wet a cloth in the bowl beside her bed. "It was barely a real punch. Tiffany's hand took most of the damage."
She narrowed her eyes at me as I began to wipe the dried-up blood from her nose and mouth with the wet cloth. "Tell that to my face."
A small smile of amusement broke out on my lips. "This was stupid, Jackie."
She sighed, removing the gauze so I could clean around her nostrils. "Probably."
The bridge of her nose was a little swollen and bright red, but at least the bleeding had stopped. God, as if Jackie Taylor got punched in the face for me. I literally never could have predicted that.
Once I cleaned her up, the nurse returned to give her some painkillers and an ice pack before making arrangements for her to be picked up from school.
"I'm sorry, I'd drive you home myself, but I don't have a car," I said with an apologetic smile.
She shook her head. "It's okay. You already stayed with me longer than you needed to. I'm just glad things are good between us again."
I exhaled softly, surprised that she cared this much. We were indifferent to one another, that was our thing. Whether it was because she felt she owed me after I broke my knuckle, or she was just trying to prove that she wasn't a bad person, I was left wondering why she was going through all this effort for a friendship that barely existed.
After she went home, it was easy to say that word of the fiasco spread around school like wildfire. Tiffany had been given a month of detention apparently, and I didn't see Leroy for the rest of the day, thankfully. Van found me after school, the two of us planning to walk home together, and that was where I debriefed her about everything that happened.
"Holy shit, what I would pay to see Jackie get decked in the face!" she exclaimed with a grin.
I quirked a brow. "Aren't you literally teammates?"
"Not in a mean way," she added quickly. "Like, it would still be funny though. Funnier if it was you, of course."
I shoved her in the arm with my good hand as she chuckled.
"I feel bad enough as it is, so no jokes," I warned her.
"Hey, it's not your fault," she assured me with a knowing look, before pausing and adding, "Though if someone says they're gonna punch you in the face, you probably shouldn't tell them you'd love to see them try."
I tried not to laugh as I shot her a look. "How was I supposed to know she'd actually do it?"
Van began to laugh again. "God, I wish I was there."
"You've only said a million times," I said with a disapproving stare, though a smile tugged at my lips.
Despite the jokes Van wouldn't stop making on the walk home, I still felt extremely guilty and couldn't stop thinking about poor Jackie. How our lives had become so intertwined in the space of two weeks was beyond me, but I suddenly felt responsible for her.
The next day at school, I saw her by her locker with Shauna before homeroom. Even from a distance, I could make out the slight swelling on her nose and it only deepened the guilt I felt. We'd technically resolved everything between us yesterday, but I felt the need to go over there and check on her to see how she was doing.
After dropping some stuff off at my locker, I went over to her and Shauna with a small smile. They noticed me and their conversation ceased, the two of them returning my smile with their own.
"Hey," Shauna greeted first.
I nodded her way before my eyes settled on Jackie, and Shauna seemed to get the hint as she politely dismissed herself, leaving us alone.
"Hey," Jackie greeted warmly.
"Hi," I said, eyes scanning her face. "How's the–?" I gestured to my own nose as I asked.
"Hurts," she admitted with a small smile, "but I covered the bruising. It's still a little swollen, but it'll be fine."
I frowned guiltily when I noticed the extra makeup she'd used to cover the red-purple bruise that had formed on the bridge of her nose. She'd done a good job, but it was still peeking through a little bit.
"It's okay," she said when she noticed my expression, before lightheartedly nodding to my bandaged hand. "Consider us even."
That didn't make me feel better at all, and I shook my head. "It shouldn't have happened. As Van kindly pointed out to me, I egged Tiffany on and she was supposed to punch me. It's not the same thing as me stepping in to defend you."
Jackie rolled her eyes playfully. "It's okay, Y/N, really. Besides, maybe her and Leroy will finally back off now."
I hummed, partially agreeing, though I knew this was still my fault.
"By the way," she added, "I broke up with Jeff."
At this, I raised my eyebrows with surprise. "What?"
Her lips pressed together into a faint smile as she looked down. "Yeah, you were right about what you said. He and his friends are jackasses. And I can do a lot better."
I wasn't sure what to say at first, not expecting her to have actually listened to what I said. But then I nodded slightly, acknowledging her words.
"You can," I found myself saying. "Do a lot better, I mean."
She breathed out with amusement. "Thanks... anyway, I should get my things, but see you in class."
"Yeah, see you," I said, still a little shocked, but nodding nonetheless.

Unwanted: Chapter 11, Unsure - Pt. 1
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Avenger!Fem!Reader
Summary: When your FWB relationship with your best friend Bucky Barnes turns into something more, you couldn’t be happier. That is, however, until a new Avenger sets her sights on your super soldier and he inadvertently breaks your heart. You take on a mission you might not be prepared for to put some distance between the two of you and open yourself up to past traumas. Too bad the only one who can help you heal is the one person you can no longer trust.
Warnings: (For this part only; see Story Masterlist for general Warnings) Language, Pocket not knowing how to navigate her emotions
Word Count: 1.9k
Previously On...: Jade just had to rub it in that she not only hears you and Bucky fighting about her, but that it brings her joy. So, you had to make sure you fucked your boyfriend extra loud.
A/N: My mom is coming up to visit after I get out of work today, so obviously, I cannot post while she is around (the contents of this story would stop her super-Catholic heart or, at the very least, have her send me out for an exorcism), so I'm scheduling this update.

Over the next few weeks, things between you and Bucky were technically better, in the sense that you hadn’t argued again, and he didn’t mention Jade to you, or answer her calls or texts in your presence, but they were so much worse in that she was taking up more of his time than ever before, and you saw each other less and less. You tried to rationalize it by telling yourself that the amount of time the two of you had spent together at the beginning of your relationship had been abnormal– nearly constant– and that the current situation was more on par with what regular couples experienced, but the truth of the matter was that you felt yourself pulling away from him, building a wall around your heart to protect yourself from what you saw as the inevitable heartache Bucky was going to inflict upon you.
He’d been right– you had been going around in circles, and every time you thought you’d made some progress, another event would transpire that would just end up leaving you feeling worse. Yes, he always had the sweetest words to say to you to bring you down from your anger, but at what point did they go from being the actual truth to just being something said just to placate you? More and more, you found yourself questioning the difference between the two, and as a result, your walls were going back up with a vengeance.
If he noticed, though, he didn’t say anything. He was preoccupied with preparing Jade for her first mission. She’d be going off to Malaysia with Sam and Rhodey (you may have begged Tony to ensure she was never partnered with either you or Bucky, and bless that man and his affection for you, he’d been more than willing to comply), and Bucky was working overtime to make sure she was ready.
And perhaps a small part of you was hoping she’d go MIA in the jungle. Not that you’d ever admit it out loud to anyone but FRIDAY.
The day before she was scheduled to depart, you were lounging on your couch, working on your laptop. Your crisis prediction algorithm project was finally ready, and you were putting the finishing touches on the presentation you were scheduled to give to the board in less than two weeks time. You were just adding some graphics when Bucky came in the door.
“You haven’t started getting ready yet?” he asked, kissing the crown of your head by way of greeting. He looked exceptionally handsome in a pair of tight black jeans and black button-up with the sleeves rolled to his elbows.
You looked up at him in confusion. “Ready for what?” you asked, taking off your glasses and rubbing the bridge of your nose.
“Gino’s,” he said, as if that would clear it up. At your blank look, he prompted: “Vix’s first mission is tomorrow. We’re all going down to Gino’s for drinks. Come on, Pocket. I told you about this days ago.”
You scoffed at him. “You most certainly did not. I would have remembered because I would have laughed at you and said ‘hard pass.’”
Bucky rubbed his eyes. “Okay, maybe it slipped my mind, and I’m sorry for that, but you should have known. It’s tradition.”
“Tradition?” you asked him, surprised to find that the anger you had expected to feel, that you should have felt, just wasn’t coming. Instead, you were just sad. “There’s no tradition.”
“What are you talking about? We all went before my first mission.”
You closed your laptop and put it down on the coffee table before standing up to face him with a sigh. “Buck, that was something I did, just for you, because I wanted to. Because you were my best friend. I wanted you to have a night of fun before you went out, because I didn’t know what sort of shit you were going to see, or have to do, on that mission. I wanted to give you something good to hold on to.”
Bucky’s face softened at your words and he embraced you, holding you close. “God,” he said, rubbing his nose into your hair, “I had no idea. I’m the fucking luckiest man alive, you know that? To have a girl as special as you care so much about me. You’re more than I deserve, doll.”
A tiny voice in the back of your mind couldn’t help but think Maybe I am. You crushed the thought as soon as it came. You loved him, you truly did. He just… frustrated you a lot recently. Jade’s probationary period was going to be over soon, and you were hopeful that she wouldn’t get the votes to stay in. You knew that, despite the initial warm reception she’d received, she’d ended up rubbing almost everyone the wrong way with her attitude. You’d even heard Sam and Clint complaining about Jade refusing to participate when it was her turn for training room clean-up because ‘shouldn’t Stark have people for that?’.
It seemed like everyone was finally seeing what kind of person she really was. Well, everyone except for Bucky, anyway.
“So,” he said after a moment, “you gonna come?”
You thought about it for a second. A part of you was completely against the idea, not wanting the gesture you’d made for Bucky all those months ago to be tainted knowing he was making it now for her, but the prevailing part of you wasn’t about to offer Jade the opportunity of a night of drinking with Bucky, outside of your presence, on a silver platter. It concerned you that you were more motivated by thwarting any designs Jade might have than you were with spending time with your boyfriend, though. You tried to push your petty thoughts aside.
“Yeah,” you said, looking up into his eyes and allowing yourself to fall into them. God, they were beautiful. He was beautiful, inside and out. You needed to keep reminding yourself of that, of all the reasons you fell in love with him in the first place, and there were so, so many. “How much time do I have?” you asked.
Bucky pulled out his phone and glanced at the time. “About fifteen minutes,” he said.
“Fifteen minutes!” you shrieked, pulling away from him and heading over to your vanity. “Jesus, Buck! Give a girl some warning! It’s gonna take me twice that long just to do my hair and makeup!” You began pulling out all the accouterments you were going to need to prepare yourself.
Bucky came to stand behind you, wrapping his hands around your waist as he looked at you in the mirror. “You don’t need any of that stuff, doll,” he said, kissing your cheek. “You’re already going to be the sexiest girl there, but I’m not gonna complain about sitting around if you want to get even sexier.”
You smiled at Bucky through the mirror, and it felt like the first genuine smile you’d given him in ages. “That’s sweet of you, baby,” you said as you started putting on your moisturizer, “but I don’t want to make you late on my account.”
Bucky narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing you for any trace of annoyance or anger in your words. Not finding any, he asked: “Are you sure, sweets? I don’t mind waiting for you.”
You nodded, moving on to fill in your eyebrows. “It’s fine, Buck. Go. I’ll meet up with you as soon as I’m ready.”
He lingered for several long moments, watching as you continued your makeup routine. You noticed him staring and paused contouring to turn to him. “What?” you asked with a small smile, expecting him to make some kind of comment about modern girls and all their makeup.
“Nothing,” he said, though there was a hint of sadness in his gaze. “You just seem… different, that’s all.”
You laughed. “You’ve seen me contour my face plenty of times, Buck. I swear, it’ll look great once I blend it out.”
“No,” he said with a shake of his head, “that’s not what I meant. You just seem… nevermind, it’s nothing.”
Shit. He could feel the distance you’d been building between the two of you. You didn’t want it to be there; you truly didn’t. You simply didn’t know how else to protect yourself. Closing yourself off had been your tried and true defense mechanism since you were eleven years old.
Making a vow to yourself to get back to where you once were, back to him, you turned around, wrapping your arms around his neck. “Hey,” you said, kissing him softly, “I love you. So much.” You needed to reassure him, to reassure both of you, of the truth of it.
“Love you, too, sweets,” he said warmly, not letting go of you. You let him hold you, relishing in the feel of him in a way you hadn’t let yourself experience in a bit. Unfortunately, the moment was interrupted by the buzzing of his phone, indicating he had a text. You pulled away and turned back to the mirror.
“What’s Jade need now?” you asked, feeling the wall building itself back up. There was no anger in your voice, just a kind of resigned acceptance. You glanced up from blending your contour as Bucky checked the screen, a look of annoyance crossing his face as he read her text.
“She wants to know if I can drive her to Gino’s on my bike,” he said. The way he looked back at you in the mirror almost made you feel ill, as though he were preparing for you to blow up at him. You felt the walls go higher around your heart.
“Well, you better head out then,” you said, focusing on your makeup. “Don’t want her being late for her own party.”
Bucky opened his mouth and then closed it again, as though not sure how to respond to you. Eventually, he said “It’s fine. Tony’s providing cars; she can hitch a ride with everyone else.”
“And deprive her the opportunity to wrap her arms around you?” you laughed. “Come on, Buck, you’re supposed to be giving her a night of good memories here. Don’t disappoint the girl.”
His brow furrowed at your words. In a single step, he was beside you, taking the contouring brush from your hand and turning your shoulders so you were facing him. “Pocket,” he said, licking his lips, “are we… are we okay?”
You shrugged nonchalantly. “Of course,” you said, taking the brush back from him and moving on to your bronzer and blush. “Why wouldn’t we be okay?”
“You’re just… you seem to be awfully relaxed about the idea of her being on the back of my bike.”
You arched a brow and looked over at him. “Should I not be?” you asked. “Is there a reason for me to be bothered by it?”
Bucky spluttered. “No! Of course not! It’s just…”
“Then I don’t understand what the problem is, Bucky,” you said, getting back to work on your face. His phone buzzed again. “You better go. Sounds like your ‘work wife’ is getting impatient.”
“My work wife? Doll, I don’t… I can’t…” he stammered, at a loss for words.
“Buck,” you said, patting his arm before applying your lip gloss, “it’s fine. Go give Jade a ride. I don’t care, honestly.”
“You… don’t care?” he asked slowly.
“Nope,” you popped the ‘p’ with your lips. “I really don’t.”
Bucky muttered his goodbyes, promising to see you at the party. As soon as he closed the door behind him, you closed your eyes, gripping the backrest of your vanity chair until your knuckles were white, your fingernails digging crescents into the palms of your hands.
You might have been able to lie to Bucky, but you couldn’t lie to yourself. You did care. You still cared very, very much.

The Argo II became more of a home to the eight demigods during their months of travel. Even though the ship would most probably get destroyed beyond even Leo's repair by the time they finished their quest of destroying Gaea, that didn't stop them from finding comfort within the Celestial bronze walls.
During that morning, most of the demigods were in the dining room, enjoying their breakfast. They were all tired and sluggish, since the night before wasn't kind to them. Usually they would take shifts when it came to guarding the ship, but everyone was awake last night due to the mini army of winged terrors that came across the flying ship, which caused them to set down on the sea near the land.
They all slept for less than four hours, and they all wanted nothing more but to add to those hours of sleep.
"GODDAMN THIS STUPID HORSE!"
Well, most of them slept. It seemed that one of them didn't find sleep as luxurious as the rest did that night.
"How does she have this much energy? It's like, seven in the morning," Percy groaned, almost faceplanting into his blue pancakes if it weren't for Annabeth's quick reflexes to hold her boyfriend's head up.
"I SWEAR TO MY DAD'S ROMAN COUNTERPART I WILL TEAR YOU TO TINY LITTLE PIECES YOU HUNK OF SHIT!"
"She's a daughter of Ares alright," Frank chuckled tiredly, rubbing his eyes. "Only she can be heard this clearly when she's all the way on the other side of the ship."
"What horse is she talking about? I thought the stables were empty," Piper wondered, not bothering to tame her typhoon hair as she sipped her orange juice.
"THAT'S MY SHIRT YOU DUMBASS — ARION THE FUCKING HAY IS RIGHT THERE — STOP CHEWING MY DAMN SHIRT!"
It seemed that Arion decided to pay them a little visit now that they were set on a monster-free dock. That would explain Hazel's absence from the table, and how she reappeared in the doorway. She turned to Jason, who was trying to shovel as much food into his mouth as he could so he can go to the stables.
"She's gonna explode again," Hazel panted, putting a hand on her knee to support herself. "I tried getting her to breathe, like you normally do, Jason, but she's not listening. She might actually go through with killing Arion this time."
Jason swallowed, wiping his mouth as he stood up. "I'll go handle it. You," he pointed to Hazel, "eat."
Leo looked up from his rubber band helicopter to stare at his best friend. "Good luck, buddy. She hasn't bit off your head yet, but that could happen any day now."
Jason chuckled. "Thanks, Leo, but I'll be fine." He left the room.
More cursing and shouts that sounded dangerously close to war cries made Jason quicken his pace as he crossed the deck to go down into the stables, where he could see flickering shadows of a girl and a horse.
"If you bite at my shirt again, I'll shove a grenade down your throat and use your insides as monster bait."
Jason stopped walking, to see if you could actually control yourself this time.
Chomp.
"THAT'S IT, I'M GETTING MY GRENADES —"
You're thundering footsteps grew louder as you approached the doorway to leave the stables. Jason stepped forward just as you were about to exit the room, putting a placating hand on your shoulder. "Woah woah, slow down there Pompeii. No need to resort to violence so quickly, hmm?"
Strands of hay were poking out from your hair — which wasn't as messy as Piper's but it was well on its way there. There were dark circles under your angry eyes, indicating that you didn't sleep a wink that night. Your knuckles were white from how hard you were balling your fists, and heavy breaths escaped your lips. Jason swore that he could see a little bit of smoke coming out of your ears.
"That goddamn horse is gonna die," you seethed, your chest rising and falling from your angry inhales and exhales. "Step out of the way, Grace."
Jason shook his head, a calming smile on his lips as he moved his hands to your hair, picking out the hay before resting on your flaming cheeks, flushed with annoyance. "Breathe with me."
"I gotta give that stupid piece of shit what it deserves —"
"I know, I know, but you gotta breathe with me first, okay?"
"But —"
"Breathe. In..." He took a deep breath in, sending you a pointed look when you didn't follow. His scolding glance made you mutter some colorful words under your breath before following along with him.
"Out..."
You exhaled with him. You could feel your anger boil down, and Jason saw and felt your shoulders let out the tension in it.
"In..." you closed your eyes.
"Out..."
You opened them once you sensed that Jason was done. "How are you feeling?" He asked you.
"Better. Still a little annoyed, but I'm better."
"Remember what we said?"
You glared a little at Jason, before sighing and looking away. "I shouldn't act on my anger unless necessary."
"And was it necessary now?"
"No..."
Jason's smile grew, putting his palm under your chin to make you look at him so he could give you a small peck on your lips. "You look like you haven't slept. How about you rest in your cabin for the day, let the rest of us handle the monsters and the bird crap on the deck?"
You shrugged, acting like you didn't really care, an act that didn't convince Jason, judging from the way you leaned into his touch. "Sure, whatever. As long as someone else makes sure that damned horse is gone by the time I'm awake." You casted a heated glare at Arion behind you. The horse simply snorted, bending down to eat the hay that you were trying to get him to eat instead of your shirt moments before.
Jason nodded, his blonde hair swaying slightly with the movement. "Deal. Let's get some food in your system before you head to bed, okay?"
"Fine."
You let Jason lead you out of the stables and into the dining room, where everyone was.
The silence that followed your arrival was awkward and tense, like they were still waiting for some aftershock of your anger.
They finally breathed when you and Jason squeezed into a chair and Jason gave you food that you ate in silence, a pensive expression on your face as your eyes were focused only on the food in front of you, paying no mind to the stares of your fellow demigods."
"How do you do it?" Leo sighed, launching his helicopter, which flew out of the room. "Even back at camp, not even her siblings could contain her. That takes skill, man."
Your half sister Clarisse, despite being known for her issues with controlling her anger, could hardly restrain you when someone decided to tick you off.
Jason shrugged, staring lovingly at you, his girlfriend, cheeks slightly puffed from the food you were chewing. "I don't know man. I just do it."
But deep down, Jason knew the truth. You would never calm down unless you let yourself be calmed down by someone you completely trusted.
Being able to make you see through your anger was not a skill Jason had, it was simply the one of the perks of being your boyfriend, and the one person you trusted more than yourself.
And Jason would rather jump into Tartarus than let anyone else have the privilege that you entrusted to him.

A joke between old friends. Dieter was doing well. Three years sober, well from the harder drugs. He still had the occasional joint and alcohol. You weren’t really into the weed, thought it stunk to high heaven. Dieter always managed to find some really fragrant strains though, smelled like incense. Type you would burn laying on a chase couch in a fancy silk robe. Maybe smoke one of those long cigarettes except it had bubbles coming out of it. Dieter bought you one and told you to make bubbles come out of it over FaceTime.
The two of you have many silly jokes over the years. Some about video games, some about animals, some about his job and yours. He never wanted to hear about relationships and didn’t mention any of his to you. You asked why one day because friends normally at least mention if they’re dating someone or not and Dieter flat out told you, “I don’t need to have the image of you fucking somebody in my head.” Had you not been as secure as you were, you’d take offense, but you left it alone, keeping it in the back of your mind.
One thing Bravo hadn’t joked about thankfully was his sobriety, finally taking it seriously. He told you that if he ever called you mentioning coke or pills to lock him up and prevent him from calling anyone for the drugs. This was another joke. He even bought you handcuffs, zip ties and some bondage tape. His assistant dropped it off with a quizzical look on their face. You smiled and put them in your office. You knew why they had that look, you two as just friends and Dieter’s never given you anything like that before. Like an idiot, you googled how to use the zip ties and tape, ending up on Pornhub and unaware that someone was banging on your door.
When the next pop-up blocked your screen again, that was when you heard, “Hey! You alive in there?! Open the hell up! What kind of friend are you?” Running downstairs, you open up the door recognizing the voice, Dieter’s at your door. It’s 11:30 at night. He stares at you and you wonder why. Ah…I’m in my nightgown. My pink satin one to match the handcuff fuzz. I don’t think I washed my hands, and they smell like…fuck.
You now know why.
“Moon Pie, you got someone up in here? Didn’t know you had someone. I need your help your help though, just a room.” He pleads at your doorstep, before you can answer, whatever ad has finished and there’s loud moaning from the video you had been watching. His eyes cut upward to where the noise is coming from. “Or maybe not. I didn’t think you watched porn.”
Putting your hands on your hips, “Anyone can watch porn Dieter. Am I not allowed according to some weird ass rule you have? I have sex sometimes too!” His eyes went wide as you stepped aside letting him in and he raised his hands to signal defeat, though he did laugh when you said the word sex.
“You can’t even say fuck Moon Pie. Listen, let’s not talk about that. I need you to keep me here. I’m feeling like I may need to make a bad call. I did give my assistant my phone, but I don’t want to chance it. You still got that box?” He pays your shoulder, plopping down on the couch.
“Go find your silly box yourself Dieter. I’m going back upstairs.” Waving your hands, you start upstairs, making it up three stairs before some slaps are heard from your laptop in your room. You really need to turn that off.
“To finish your porn instead of helping your friend?” He popped up met you at the bottom of the stairs, “Come on! You still have the tools, right?” His hands ran up your arms. This man. Despite showing up unannounced, late, interrupting some ‘me time’ and requesting he use tools you don’t know how to use save for the handcuffs, you’d still help him out. Even if he could be troublesome and rude at times, he always supported you in work endeavors and listened to you talk way too much about Final Fantasy games. He blames you for knowing about crystals and different jobs like paladin and black mage.
You didn’t answer him and walked upstairs to your room, to turn the porn off but the screen was frozen, playing the same moan ever and over. The image had a man zip tied to a pole while standing as a woman sucked him off. They both were letting out a combined moan. Swallowing hard, Dieter watched you switch your weight between your large hips, he removed his robe and brown t-shirt leaving himself in his brown pajama pants and removing his gray socks. “Moon Pie. Have you ever done that sort of thing? I doubt it.” His voice snapped you after your haze, turning to look at him, confusion dots your face.
“Why did you remove your shirt? I just need to tie you up and prevent you from leaving right? Put your shirt back on Dee.” His chest only has a small splattering of dark hair on his golden skin. He lays across your bed grinning. “Wait how long am I supposed to keep you here? You’re not getting me arrested.”
“I was hot and until I don’t feel like using. Where’s the box?”
“Stay there, it’s in my office.” You’re back momentarily with the fabled box and open it, taking out the handcuffs, zip ties and tape. “Here which do you want me to use? I’m tired.” Dropping the box on the bed, he frowns, you’re not playing along, you see annoyed. Shouldn’t you be happy he’s across your bed? Dieter is, why aren’t you?
You are tired sure, but you’re hornier and more aware that Dieter is not going to want anything to do with relieving any frustration you have. Holding your hands palms out, “Just tell me what you want me tie you up with so I can set up the guest room.”
“Hey, why are you pissed at me? I’m not leaving until you help me, you said you would.” Dieter scoots to the edge of the bed and leans on his elbows. “Are you really that mad I stopped you from finishing your porn? You don’t need it.” He picks up the handcuffs out of the box and studies the pink fuzz. It looks about the same shade as your nightgown. Moon Pie hasn’t used these has she? No, they don’t look used. I think. These are mine, I bought them for her to use with me. She shouldn’t be watching porn. I need to be the toy.
“Damn it Dieter! I’m not just your friend, I’m a woman who has needs no matter if you wanna think about it or not! Fuck you!” Charging at him, you grab his shoulders and knock him back on the bed, pinning him to bed. He slaps the handcuffs on your wrist and his. “What the hell?! They’re only supposed to go on you not me!”
Bravo licks his lips and turns his head to the side to kiss your hand after pulling his wrist to his mouth. “Oh, I’ve always liked the idea of you in handcuffs. You should fuck me Moon Pie.” His curved nose inches closer to your hand and sniffs it. He has your scent now, sticking one of your fingers into his mouth and pulling it back out.
The sensation from his lips went straight to your cunt and you stifled a moan. He will not have his way; you can ensure even if you’re handcuffed to him. “You said you couldn’t picture me fucking Dee? Are you looking for that much of a distraction?” You moved to sit beside him on the bed, but he pulled you back on top, his free hand roaming freely over your love handles. “Dee, I’m not just going to be used for you staying sober.”
Leaning forward, his face connected with your neck, licking it, “I’ve been using you to stay sober since I finish rehab three years ago. I knew if I went back, it would disappoint the hell out of you.” His teeth bit into your neck and a whimper escaped, small but it was enough to encourage him. “I didn’t want to think of someone fucking you other than me. I’m sure you have; they’re flies drawn to honey.” His hand ran from your rolls to your ass squeezing it. “If I’m going to stay sober for you, I should have you, shouldn’t I?” Rolling his hips up into yours, he licks the bite and lets go of your ass slapping it.
Dropping your hips, you press right into his clothed bulge, feeling it throb against your bare cunt. “You’re insane Dieter, how does that make any sense….?” Unfortunately, he’s making it so much worse, your nipples are visible through your nightgown, erect as you leak onto his pants from your core. “This is only because you stopped me earlier with your stupid request.”
“Whatever you want to tell yourself Moon Pie. Only I’m going to see you like this from now on, right?” The pads of his fingers trail up your spine and pull down one of the straps of your nightgown letting a breast become fully exposed. He licks it before blowing on it, eliciting another whimper. “Tell me I’ll be the only one. I’ll take the handcuffs off and make sure you come. Don’t be difficult tonight. Not when I need you.” He doesn’t wait for your answer before taking it in his mouth, and sitting up, pulling you into his lap. Instinctively, both of your hands grab his head, pulling his one hand back. He disconnects from your nipple to yelp from his shoulder suddenly going back.
You grin and try to reach for the key that’s in the box since he’s distracted, but Dieter gets on his knees and pulls on his wrist, having your arm come back toward him and making you fall face first into the bed. “Dieter let me get the key, then I can lock you in another room. Clearly you need to be.” His fingers trace your thighs but don’t go any higher, sighing, he lays down next to you.
“You seriously don’t want to have sex with me? Even after I tell you I want you to be my only one? So cold to me.” He pouts. This man is seriously pouting after he’s teased you? He doesn’t move as you get the key and unlock yourself. You consider handcuffing both of his hands but release him as well. Moving to the edge of the bed, you stand and turn off your laptop then return to sit on the bed.
“You’ve got to do better than trying to guilt me into it. You’re horrible at this.” You laugh as does he. If it had been anyone else, you’d never speak to them again at minimum, Dieter rolls on his side and kisses your thigh.
“We’ve been friends how long? You know I’m shit at this. I feel like I should ask, you’re not going to have me arrested for this are you?” You poke the scruff on his cheek.
“No, though I should. You’re insane Dieter Bravo. We’ll sleep on it.” You lay back and scoot up to the head of the bed, closing your eyes.
“Did you want to finish your porn? Or make our own? It will be Moon Pie’s debut!”” Slinks up the bed and lays his head on your chest, kissing your collar bone.
“You’re a dumbass Dieter. I would tie you up but you’d like it too much. Go to sleep.” Placing your fingers in his hair to scratch his scalp makes him purr, wrapping a leg around one of yours.
“Keep scratching my head like that and we won’t be sleeping at all you cheeky Moon Pie. I’ll be under that gown soon.” His face found its way back to your neck, licking the teeth marks he made earlier. Letting out a soft groan, you pull on Dieter’s hair, so he pulls his head back. “Jokes on you, I enjoy my hair being pulled. Manipulate me more.” His grin is criminal, he should be arrested for that if anything.
It wasn’t even two hours before Dieter had your legs up around his waist. He’s temperamental and a horrible communicator but damn if he didn’t have you call him an Oscar winner while he rutted into you from behind giving you your third orgasm before one in the morning.

Guy Gardner: Green Lantern!
Finally finished my redesign and ref sheet for this guy !!
I'm leaving the PL design cuz it slaps and also it's funny and I wanna make it canon that he got that ring at some point and had to deal with that for awhile. (he made it work. had fun)
he had an experience once with a red ring and he hated every minute of it. he's always running from it.
Anyways, he gives me cowboy and punk vibes.
miscellaneous info: (sorry if anything sounds repetitive)
--
Had a terrible upbringing, was not the favored child, often told he was a disgrace and compared often to his brother, really messed with his mental health and self perception.
Rebelled a lot in spite of his father. mother did nothing to help him, only one good point in high eyes is that at least she didn't hurt him. He doesn't have a great relationship with his family and has a bit of loathing towards his brother He has since become estranged from his family by choice.
Further rebellion lead to him living a more punk life, going against his father, a cop. He's living how he feels comfortable and free without the expectations from his family. Anything that would get a rise out of his dad? Oh, he's gonna do it. He's grown out of it, but sometimes the habits die hard Hard to give up, hard to move on.
Guy struggled to keep a job for years, finding and taking whatever he could. The last job he had before he was found by Abin Sur's ring was as a teacher for a local school. He was about to be fired and needed a new job anyway. He was happy to take it and escape his earth life for a little while. A further rebellion against his family, he'll claim, but really it was an escape from his miserable life at the time.
As a result of his constant search for a job, he's gained a lot of experience and knowledge with a wide array of things, such as swimming, coaching, cooking, mechanics, engineering, mending, dancing-- He's not a professional at any of these, he's quite rusty with some of them, but he's still very capable if these skills are ever needed.
With the ring, Guy finally found a job that he was good at, successful. It was one he didn't fumble catastrophically. He loves the GL corps and will do whatever he can to keep it, it's a place he feels accepted and liked. even if his personality and attitude may be a little hard to digest and tolerate for some. He's very passionate and cares a lot despite how stubborn and brash he may act.
The GL corps is really all Guy has. He puts a lot of his devotion into it. it's the only consistently positive things in his life. It's the one thing he would never run from. He would honestly defend the corps with his life, taking the oath to heart. His word is his bond and he values it.
Often gets into fights, is usually the one who starts it whether he intended to or not. He does finish them, at least.... well. If possible, he tries to. Albeit.. not in the best of ways. He still has a lot to learn.
Guy overcompensates his fears and worries, his anxieties with an overconfident and boastful, loud and abrasive attitude. His more vulnerable side is one that less than 5 people have ever seen and know of. He'd rather people see him as a dirtbag than as any less than a man. His dad instilled a lot of negativity towards himself from a young age. Feeling inferior. Anything goes wrong? Guy is bottling that up and taking it out on training dummies and letting it out in his room with a drink or two.

A Loki/Doctor Who crossover

Chapter 11: London
While you cling to the slightest hope that you and Loki have a future together, the end of time becomes increasing imminent as you finally reach England and make a final dash to The Doctor.

MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Margaret gave you a large basket of food to take with you, along with three large bottles of red wine. Once she saw you down to the docks, you took advantage of the last few hours of greenish daylight to navigate around the rocky waters that had stranded you in the first place, finally making your way out to the open, safe ocean by dusk.
Shane and Carrie remained at the helm for the evening. You, Loki, and Joey all sat on the bed down below, a bottle of wine for each of you. Under the dim light from the swinging bulb, you spent half of the night discussing possible ways to rescue Loki from his fate.
“I will die on the hill that your blonde little other half needs to pay the piper,” you grunted bitterly, sipping at your nearly-empty bottle. The wine was sloshing about in your skull, but the pleasant airheadedness didn’t completely obscure your senses yet. It just made your inhibitions subside. You nuzzled yourself under Loki’s arm, as close to being at peace as you were going to be, for now.
He rubbed your shoulder with the hand he’d had draped over it. “I know you feel that way. Please understand that it’s more complicated than that.”
“No,” you sighed with a yawn, “I don’t think it is.”
Joey nodded. “I gotta go with her on this one. We need to get her to go to your place. It’s our best move, and it’s frankly the right one.”
“You may think you know her from what you’ve seen in the show,” Loki tried to explain, “but one thing they didn’t emphasize enough was just how lethal Sylvie is. Self-preservation is her biggest priority, and anyone who stands in the way of what she is after will die.”
“If she’s so single-minded, why not trick her?” you suggested. “It’s easy to trip up someone when they’re so obsessed with something else.”
“Because she’s a Loki,” Loki reminded you. “Her intelligence matches mine, she could probably preempt my every play.”
You finished off the bottle in your hands and reached over to place it on the bedside table before rolling back under Loki’s arm. “She’s not quite the same as you,” you added. “Is there a way we can convince her that she will be seen as a hero if she does it?”
Loki shook his head. “She doesn’t want that, remember?”
“Oh right, MacSylvie wants to get back to the deep fryers,” Joey scoffed. It was still odd to you that someone of her supposed power would strive for a life where she would spend her days soaking up cholesterol through osmosis and go home to reruns of Family Guy every night. “Girl must be nuts. I think I’d prefer being alone at the end of time.”
“Nothing will give her more time to be alone with her inner monologue than the throne of timelines,” you said, the wine still catching up to you. Loki’s touch was suddenly making you sensitive. You wished Joey would leave.
“So,” Loki took a deep breath, going over everything you’d been discussing for the past several hours, “It’s possible my stone will gain some of its powers back once it’s within proximity to The Doctor’s time ship. This means that if we can power up his ship. he can take us back to the TVA, we get her to make her move in my place, and--”
“--what about lying?” you interjected. “We make it look like it wouldn’t work if it were you! Then she’ll have no choice.”
Joey smiled. “I thought you were supposed to be good at that, Lokes!”
Loki shrugged. “I still don't know if she’ll buy it. I have ventured about with her, she is clever.”
“Sometimes, when it’s down to the wire, choices have to be made in the moment,” you said. “She’s rash, quick, and reactionary. It could work, especially the more things collapse around us.”
“I think this timeline is behind the TVA,” added Loki. “Everything was already reaching a critical point when I threw the stone, and when I landed here, things hadn’t yet begun to fall apart.”
“So, we pretend to kill you in front of Sylvie when we get The Doctor to give us a lift to the TVA,” Joey mused. “You do tend to fake-die a lot, you know. No reason the rest of South Park won’t buy it if Kenny dies again.”
Loki knitted his eyebrow in confusion. “Let’s do it,” you said. “What does she know about my world?”
Loki thought for a moment. “There’s no reason to think she’d know anything more than I did when I first arrived.”
“Then she won’t know how a sonic screwdriver works,” you suggested. “Let’s get The Doctor to help us fake her out when we get to the TVA. I bet he’s the type to go along, right Joe? You’d know.”
“We can regroup with The Doctor and tell him everything,” said Joey. “But I think we’ve got this. Sis?”
You smiled. “Okay. Loki?”
Loki twisted his lip. He was about to betray Sylvie the moment he gave his word. Something about this felt wrong to him. But then again, something about her slipping off into a happily ever after while he took her sins upon himself also felt wrong. Loki had to be honest with himself, the prospect of being allowed to continue living, perhaps going off with Mobius on more adventures…it was starting to feel like a great prize at the end of the most dangerous game he’d ever played.
“Okay,” he consented. “We can fake one of you killing me. Then I’ll hide until Sylvie reaches the throne.”
You felt warm and drunk, smiling with deep satisfaction at the confirmation of Loki choosing you over her. A part of you had been worried that the connection between them had been too deep.
“Well, in that case,” Joey said, standing up and heading over to the bunk he’d taken during the first half of the trip, “I’m getting a few hours before taking over and letting the others sleep.”
“Sleep well, Joey,” said Loki.
“G’night, bro,” you yawned again.
Once Joey pulled the curtain around his bunk, you took off your jeans and crawled under the bedsheets in your t-shirt and underwear. Loki unbuttoned his shirt and let his old, dirty slacks fall to his ankles before crawling in beside you. You rolled onto your side away from him, which he responded to by tucking his chest against your back, spooning around you, and wrapping his long arms around your waist. He felt so good. For a frost giant, it was a bit odd to you that his body heat warmed you faster than a heated blanket. Not that you complained.
You smiled and moaned as you felt the erection dig into the small of your back, just above your ass. Loki was rhythmically, slowly grinding against you.
“Someone’s being a bit presumptuous,” you whispered sarcastically. “You open your legs for the God of Mischief one time…”
“You want me to stop?” Loki asked with sincerity.
“I want you to put your hand here,” you answered, taking his right hand and moving it under the hem of your shirt, letting his fingers find your puckered nipple. You allowed him to play with you in lusty silence, your pants syncopating off one another as you both began to rock your hips back and forth. You were tempted to guide his hand between your legs to let him fiddle with your clit, but you weren’t sure if you could control the moans of pleasure he could draw from you by doing that, and Joey was still only about fifteen feet away.
“You know, I don’t think Disney would appreciate you flaunting this more sexual side of yourself, Sir,” you giggled.
“Which shows how much they know. I’ve had many carnal exploits in my time.”
You took a moment to consider whether or not you wanted to ask the question that had been burned into your mind for a while now.
“Loki? Did you love her?”
A pause. “Sylvie?”
“Yeah.”
Loki took your breast fully into his hand, and he squeezed it twice before settling his palm there. His large, muscular hands were firm with you.
“No,” he began, but before you could express any relief, he amended his statement, “Not in the way you fear. Don’t worry, dove. But, I suppose my heart went out to her, with her violent past.”
“You kissed her in the show. Did you really?”
“Yes,” he sighed woefully. “I wouldn’t read too far into it. Heat of the moment, you know. In the midst of battle, you can’t tell the difference between adrenaline and--”
“--I think I understand,” you replied, not as upset as you thought you would be. “Do you think you’ll be able to stand up to her when the time comes? I can see where it might be a lot to ask.”
“Yes,” he replied. “Maybe I should look at it as finally closing the door on one part of my personality forever, ready to move on from things like youthful revenge and angry adventures.”
“That sounds like no fun,” you joked.
He chuckled and nipped on your earlobe. Loki’s finger slipped up and over your chest to where your tarot pendant hung. He began carelessly fiddling with it. Between the wine, the gentle rocking of the boat, and Loki’s tender touch, you felt yourself beginning to drift off. About three minutes of silence went by, and you began to hear the low sound of Loki’s voice, slowly humming a lullaby as he continued to lightly pet you.
“What song is that?” you asked quietly.
“An old Asgardian lullaby,” Loki answered, “In places where seidr functions, it contains magic within the melody that induces a light, peaceful sleep.”
His delightful melody was the final pillow on your bed, and you used the last of your energy to pose one final thought: “Maybe…after you’ve been back a while and everything has calmed down…you could come looking for me.”
“I--Y/N--”
“--we’ve both agreed to re-write the story,” you interrupted his attempt to hesitate. “We might have a chance at a happy ending for ourselves. You could use that stone to find your way back to me someday, don't you think?”
Loki allowed himself one more pleasurable thrust against your back even as you slipped into comfortable unconsciousness. He let his finger trace a few more inches over your cheek before tightening his embrace around your waist, holding you closer to him as if you were his teddy bear.
“Maybe I could,” Loki said with a smile no one could see, in a whisper no one could hear as he too slipped away. “I think…maybe we could.”
Tumblr media
You were startled awake by Shane, who threw a jacket at Joey and shouted, “Everyone! You have to get up and see this!”
You were jerked from the most amazing dream of your life, still wrapped in Loki’s arms. He’d wrapped a leg over your hip and was draped over you in a highly suggestive position. Luckily, Shane didn’t seem to care. He shook himself awake with an irritable grunt. “What the hell?”
“Jesus, Shane, it’s like 8am, we’ve only been asleep for four hours!” Joey complained.
Shane ignored your bitching, insisting you all meet on deck in five minutes.
You could tell through the porthole that the sky was still green, and only brighter than it had been the day before. All three of you rushed to dress, and you barely stumbled onto the deck realizing that you still felt a little drunk from the wine you'd finished off only a few hours ago.
“Ah!” Loki winced, falling against the railing on the stairs as you made your way tipside. You were right behind him, and positioned yourself to catch him at a moment’s notice.
“Loki? Are you okay?” you shouted, afraid for him.
“I feel ill,” he said quickly. “Something feels incredibly wrong.”
You helped Loki onto the deck and sat him down in an Adirondack chair. He looked pale and dizzy. “I’ll get you some wat--”
You cut yourself off as you saw the large green landmass passing by on your left. “Oh, is that the far side of Iceland?”
Shane shook his head, confused. “No, that’s not. According to our equipment…that’s the southern coast of Ireland.”
“That’s impossible! We’ve been at sea for twelve hours,” you answered. “We shouldn’t even be past--”
“--we know!” Shane shouted in his panic.
Loki was beginning to hyperventilate, as if he’d run a mile before taking a seat. “It’s time,” he said. “We’ve got no time. Reality is bending and warping the planet now!”
“People could die, there could be massive earthquakes!” you gasped.
“If someone doesn’t save the timelines within the next twenty-four to thirty hours, everything is lost,” Loki predicted, using his intuition to make his guess.
“That soon?” you asked, almost yelling.
Loki nodded and grabbed your face, kissing you deeply. “I’m afraid so. We’re in the reality farthest from the TVA and the Citadel, and we’re already seeing matter fold in on itself!”
“We could make landfall in Southampton as soon as lunchtime,” shouted Carrie from the helm. “What the fuck?”
“It's for the best,” Loki groaned. “This must be why I feel sick.”
You looked at Joey with concern. He bit his lip, looking around nervously. “This is getting too weird, even for me, Sis!”
Tumblr media
When you set sail weeks ago, you’d expressed some fear about making berth in Southampton when one of your companions had no ID papers. However, it was evident before you even docked that it wouldn’t have mattered, because no one around you would have bothered to notice. Everyone was running about, panic heightened at the changing planet, the green summer sky, and the other ways in which reality was shifting. You wouldn’t have considered it rioting, but people were definitely scrambling at a moderate level..
Your heart was humming as you grabbed Loki’s hand, disembarking without letting go of him. He laced his fingers in between yours, and you felt immediately safer. The moment Loki’s foot touched soil, his pocket illuminated to a bright green that even his leather jacket tried about his hips couldn’t fully conceal.
“Norns, I can feel it through the material!” he whispered to you.
Carrie shook your hand as the three of you began to discuss finding your way to London. “Shane’s staying with the boat,” she said, “But whoever the hell you are: good luck, and don’t ever ask us to do this again.”
As she left you there on the pier, Joey took out his cracked phone. “If we get a car, we can make it in about two hours.”
“Okay,” you said with sarcastic cheer, “Let’s just walk into the Jolly Ol’ U-Haul with our wallets full of pounds and totally-British driver’s licenses!”
“Already, genius, what do you suggest we do?” Joey sneered irritably.
“I don’t know…get a bus?”
“Where and how?” asked Joey.
You grunted, annoyed. “Well, where and how are we going to rent a car in England? As if you’d even know how to drive one!”
Loki was looking back and forth between you as if you were volleying at a tennis match instead of bickering back and forth. You glanced at him and instantly knew you were going to los the argument.
“Fine, Loki, we’ll steal a fucking car,” you rolled your eyes, your reaction dripping with annoyance.
He smiled and nodded. “You know me, Y/N.”
So you committed grand theft auto for the first (and only) time.. It was incredibly simple, as no one gave a rat’s ass about anything other than the sky, the shifting continents, and whatever that meant would come next.
It took you a lot longer to drive into London than you expected. It was because your brother was driving like a moron all over the wrong side of the road, not used to the British car’s inverted dashboard and wheel. He kept stopping, starting, turning into the wrong lanes, and misreading speed limit signs. It was like riding in the Cash Cab if the host were on cocaine.
“You know,” Loki said, his face turning almost as green as the stone in his pocket, “I don’t believe I was in any more danger hanging off of the Bifrost than I am right now!”
As the skyline of London first appeared over the horizon, you sighed. “So, let’s try and get over to Regent’s Park. That’s where The Doctor was allegedly last sighted.”
“How will we know he’s there? What if he isn’t?” asked Joey. “This is one of the biggest cities in the world! We could spend our whole lives here and never find him!”
“This will certainly tell us,” Loki pulled the time stone out of his pocket. It was now wrapped in heat-resistant cloth, pulsing so brightly it could have illuminated a dark room by itself. “I get the feeling that if it doesn’t outright explode upon our entering range, it will still go completely mad.”
Getting anywhere within London’s city limits was next to impossible. Traffic was backed up, drivers were irritable, pedestrians were distracted. The environment was just this side of chaotic. There was something about the tension that still hung in the air that told you the worst was yet to come if this wasn’t solved immediately.
Eventually, you spotted another vehicle that didn’t belong in this world: a 1980’s Delorean fitted with an odd white device on the top, conspicuously labeled “Mr. Fusion.”
“Oh shit, Joey, can you see that?” you pointed urgently. “It must be the Time Traveler’s Convention this weekend.”
“That ain’t good,” he replied. “The more familiar faces we see--”
“--we need to get to the park,” Loki interjected. “Now.”
“We’re half a mile away,” Joey mentioned, tapping the car’s built-in GPS. “You can run and be there in a few minutes.”
“What about you?” you asked, panic bubbling in your brain.
“I’ll find a fire zone to park in or something, you and Loki just GO!” Joey insisted, waving his arms as if to dismiss you.
Tumblr media
“It’s WORKING!” The Doctor yelled in excitement. The TARDIS was all but fully functional, the lights now working at full capacity (if not with a green tint). “Damn, the only thing still not connecting is the time vortex itself.”
“The what?” asked Sylvie, on high alert and frequently looking toward the door.
“The time vortex. It’s what moves the TARDIS through time. She’s still not finding it…it’s like having a car without gas in it, or a computer router without internet, Sylvie. But we’re getting close!” The Doctor began circling the console like an Olympic sprinter.
“Does that mean Loki’s--”
“Oh, stop thinking about Loki for five minutes, Sylvie, and hold this a moment!” he said as he held out a frayed wire, sparks flying from the end. Sylvie didn’t move toward it.
The Doctor stopped, looking at Sylvie with renewed interest.
“What?” Sylvie asked, looking innocent.
The Doctor’s eyes narrowed with a slightest hint of suspicion. “You look anxious.”
She shrugged, putting her hand in her pocket, toying with the stone she kept there. “World’s ending, I’m out of my timeline. Why shouldn’t I be anxious?”
He decided not to pursue the matter further. There were more important things to worry about, like getting the TARDIS off of this planet before it collapsed entirely.
Tumblr media
Hand-in-hand, you and Loki darted across the London streets at breakneck speed, able to weave in and out of the other people on the streets without any of them identifying Loki.
You always hated running. Your chest felt as if it was on fire. Your breaths were shallow and fast, and they were drying out the back of your throat. You felt a slight pull on your arm. Of course the long-legged Asgardian would have a naturally quicker pace!
“Where the hell did he say it was?” you gasped. Joey had given you vague directions based on what the car’s GPS had told him, but in the heated urgency of the moment, most of his instructions went in one ear and out the other.
“Is that it?” Loki said, stopping short to point at a cluster of trees peeking out from an alleyway that led to the next street over.
“YES!” you shouted, grabbing his hand again and yanking him along.

Sylvie wasn’t quite sure why her hair was standing on end. She refused to have her back to the door.
He’s here!
Tumblr media
“He’s there!” you shouted, pointing across the green with Loki still attached to your hand.
“Ow! Norns!” Loki swore, even the heat-resistant handkerchief was beginning to smolder in his pocket.
You grinned as you caught your breath. “That must be it!”
Tumblr media
“This must be it!” The Doctor said, his voice wavering just a little. He was so wrapped up in the functioning parts of his ship that he didn’t notice Sylvie ducking under the stairs to hide.
“I feel it, Sylvie! Finally, we’re going to get out of here! Are you ready?”
Tumblr media
“Are you ready?” Loki asked.
You were standing at the threshold of one of the most iconic structures in pop culture. You could tell from the bright flashing green lights through the window that something was going down inside.
You looked up at him with a worried smile, your chest still heaving from the sudden, intense exercise. He responded by kissing you one more time. If this was going to be your last kiss with Loki, you wanted t drink every flavor from his lips and savor his taste while you could.
Sadly, he pulled away before you could even appreciate the significance, and he raised a fist to the door. “Shall we?”
You nodded and also raised a fist. “Together?”
“Always together.”
You both knocked three times in sync. The flashing green light became steady within. After a pause, both of you repeated your tandem knock.
After another pause, the doors opened.

The Union
An attempt to lighten moods in the Discord!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Everything about it was perfect. The simplicity behind it, how Aang stole Zuko from his court on “urgent avatar business” and left before explaining any further. The cool wind from the ocean, crashing the waves into the stones underfoot as Katara finishes lining his faux tattoos.
It was even better when Suki and Toph started playing their music, soft and delicate for the two strong women. Not unusual but very different.
It was perfect.
Sokka didn't appear from the jungle on the island, or anything grand like that, he was just waiting there on the shore, chewing his lip as he watched Appa land with a rumble.
The sun setting behind him as he smiles widely at Zuko, a wetness in his eyes as Zuko takes his hand gently, the wind blowing Sokka's wolfs tail violently before Aang waves his hand and the wind falls still.
“Team Avatar, we are gathered here today, the tenth anniversary of my return, to celebrate… them. My best friends, Sokka of the Southern Water Tribe and Zuko of the Fire Nation.” He says formally, fighting back his own tears as Sokka squeezes Zuko's hand tightly.
“The road to this moment was bumpy, full of kidnapping, attempted murder, a jail break, some crimes. Lots of crimes. Together, the six of us did amazing things and have continued to do amazing things. But none of those things come close to this.
A union of the two nations. Out of love, trust and friendship built on hard work. I am so proud of the men you two have turned into, I know your mother's would be too. as would Hakoda.”
Sokka sucks in a breath as he glances over at Katara as she wipes a tear from her eye. Their bond having strengthened even more since the Great Chiefs passing, Sokka having stepped in and officiated their wedding not five years ago, despite Katara being Chief.
“But our own strengths we found in ourselves, and weaknesses we accepted, we're here today. Where land meets the sea, and the sun kisses the water…” Aang says, taking the ribbon from Katara, wrapping their clasped hands together, looking between the two before tying the knot.
“I can't express my joy for you two. That you found love, despite your pasts. So by the power invested in me by… me, I guess. Your souls are entwined even more than before.”
The couple face each other as Sokka's smile widens, reaching forward and wiping the tears falling from Zuko's eyes as he struggles to calm down, smiling back at his husband.
His husband.
“May the spirits guide you two through this life, and the next. And the next. Welcome to the family Zuko.” Aang says, his own smiling splitting his face as he steps to the side, wrapping his arm around Katara as Sokka jerks Zuko closer, cupping his wet cheek with his spare hand.
“You're my husband now, jerk bender…” he mutters before kissing the bender, the setting sun turning them golden as the party cheers.
A marker of history, for the first time in… ever, possibly. A member of the royal family married a water tripe peasant.
Right where the sun kisses the ocean.

Hey, i have this idea in my head where the reader is appointed as Feyd Rautha's right hand (wo)man/bodyguard/assistant? due to the fact that she is a skilled fighter and super smart. Maybe she was a hitman or a bountyhunter and the baron is obviously overprotective of his heir.
So if you're interested you could write about that
A/N; HI! Thank you so much for the request, I enjoyed writing it, I've made the reader bisexual for some reason idk. lol
Warnings; Fighting, blood.
Words; 1.189K
You were on your knees in front of the vicious Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, who rules the House Harkonnen. His populous watching the ceremony, screaming and applauses echoed in the large arena. You have defeated hundred man and women and you deserved to be the Na-Baron, Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen’s right hand. Before you path led you to Giedi Prime you were a bountyhunter, hunting people and not caring about the cause just in it for the money and you were caught by the Harkonnen soldier, in order to prove your worth you fought in the arena and earned your place. It was this or death and you weren’t going to die. Not today at least. Ever since Baron made Feyd-Rautha  his heir Feyd was getting more and more important and when his former right hand who was a useless man almost caused Feyd-Rautha his death Baron Vladimir executed that man and announced that he was looking for a new right hand, many applied for the job and died in the arena except you.
You could feel the blood covered sand on your knees, you were covered in your enemies blood, both of your hands holding your knives, you loved to fight with two knives.
Baron Vladimir holding the ancestral sword, floating in the air, ‘’May you serve well.’’ He said and touched the sword on your shoulders and head, ‘’Rise.’’
As you stood up you greeted the crowed, your heart beating so fast due to the adrenalin, your blood running hot lava, crowed cheered you. At the top, where politicians and royal family members seated you saw him, Feyd-Rautha…
You were taking to spa room where a stone hot tub waiting for you to cleanse and refresh. You took of your clothes and jumped in, a slave came to wash your hair and massage your arms and shoulders, she was a pretty one. ‘’You fought well my lady.’’ She was rubbing your thick arms, years of fighting and surviving made your body fit and more muscular than other women here. You turned to face her, she was bald like the others, her eyes green and full lips, ‘’You think so?’’ screaming in the arena made your voice rougher than usual. You watched her blush, she nodded, you eyed her up and down, she had a regular black slave clothing, tight around her body, she seemed innocent and warm. After evry fight you loved to fuck a good cunt so you grabbed her throat and made her kiss you. She was startled at first but gave in, she had to, she was a slave after all.
You heard a rough cough, you turned to see who dared to disturb your moment with this cute slave and it was Feyd-Rautha. ‘’Having fun?’’ he asked jokingly, he made the slave leave, this was the first time you were seeing him in person. ‘’Greetings my Na-Baron.’’ You didn’t care that you were naked, ‘’When you are finished my servants will take you to your quarters and show you around. Later, find me.’’ He said coldly and left.
It had been five years since that meeting and you have kept your place secure. Your job wasn’t easy and you had to be alert at all times and yet you enjoyed the danger. The possibility of an attack aroused you and you found yourself going on hunts with Na-Baron every week in the main forests of the Planet. It was a heavy industrialized planet but the Harkonnens kept the main few forests.
Over the years you became friends, sharing meals together, making plans etc. And the time came to leave Giedi Prime and reclaim Arrakis, Dune. Glossu Rabban He inherited the Harkonnen penchant for sadism and cruelty, but not the cunning. He was best known for his tyrannical and vastly ineffective governance of Arrakis during the Harkonnen fiefdom of the desert planet, as well as during the insurgency of the Fremen led by Paul Muad'Dib. He earned the nickname "Beast" when he killed his father, Abulurd Harkonnen. The Baron planned to let Glossu rule the planet for a time through fear and terror so that when his favored nephew, Feyd-Rautha (Rabban's younger brother) took over, the new ruler would be welcomed as a hero. His horrid treatment of the Fremen on Arrakis prompted a lengthy rebellion that interfered with spice harvesting and production on the planet.
He did a bad job and Feyd was sent to fix it. The travel was easy but the conditions were harsh on the planet. As soon as you arrived Feyd made you find Rabban and bring him to Feyd. You did as you were ordered and he made you hit Rabban’s knee to make him fall flat to the ground, you heard Feyd’s cold voice. ‘’You humiliated our family, you humiliated me. Kiss my foot or die.’’
Rabban kissed Feyd’s foot in front of the soldiers, ‘’We’re even now.’’ Feyd said and moved to the planning room.  On Giedi Prime you and Feyd made plans for Arrakis and it was time for action. ‘’My Na-Baron, Fremens don’t know the change in command, it is best if we attack know the get ahead of them.’’ You shared your plan, Feyd-Rautha looked up from the holograms to face you, ‘’Smart. You heard her!’’ he yelled, ‘’Get ready!’’
You were right, Fremens were ambushed and plenty of slaves were taken from their homes to serve. It was a clear message to the Fremens.
At night when the palace which was built by the Harkonnens 80 years ago was quiet, you couldn’t sleep, your senses were telling you that something was up and you decided to get dressed, dismissed the slave girls and boys from your room and take as troll on the corridors.
You were right again, captured Fremens were rioting and escaped the cell they were in. You ran to Na-Baron’s room and woke him up, told him about the situation. He bolted to his feet and alarmed the soldiers, before he left with you he held your hand, after years this was the first time of physical connection, ‘’What would I do before you?!’’ it wasn’t a question, it was his way of appreciating your efforts in these five years. You nodded and walked next to him, you and him were inseparable.
The dark corridors were packed with Fremen soldiers and they knew how to fight. You and Feyd were kicking and pushing who were on your way, slashing with your knives, you could hear him laugh, you two were a good team and tonight was the show of it.
Harkonnen soldiers were brutal, they didn’t care who they killed, servants were slaughtered as well. When the fighting was done the Arrakis’s sun was rising for a new day, you were panting and covered in gore and blood same as Fyed-Rautha. He was watching you, observing how you fight and relax… he was impressed. He closed the space between the two of you and whispered in your ear, ‘’Come to my room.’’ It was an order. You could see his pupils dilated, adrenalin running in his and your veins, you followed behind.
Thank you for reading. :)

I am having the most miserable Chinese New Year 😭. On the evening day 2 my entire family got infected with the flu
(not covid. Just regular flu. Which is also just as bad??? It's covid without the fever, but with dry cough and sneezing 😭)
And to make things worse, today we had a Cyberpunk Red Zoom session planned... and I didn't want to skip it...
In my fever induced confusion, I made exceptionally bad choices 😭??
I chose my Netrunner's elder half brother over the crew again 😭. I KNOW. I said I cut ties with father and Arasaka... but big bro doesn't have anything to do with this 😭
I panicked when his psychosis got triggered 🥲. I can't let my only brother go. I didn't want MaxTac to hunt him down 🥲
My party was yelling at me/my Netrunner to run. Even our DM was hinting I'm making a bad choice...
But I chose to burn all my ram shutting down all the cameras in the building and blocking outside communication so no one can call MaxTac 🥲
Then I ran after my brother trying to stop him 🥲. My stats are horrible. I forgot that without my ram I'm defenceless against an Adam Smasher level NPC 🥲
I told my friends to just let me die. But my friends said that as their characters, no way any of them would leave me 😭
I feel so guilty now??? Omg 😭. This is the first time I heard Exec use the F word (friend) and it's cos I dragged everyone into my family drama 😭
Rockerboy is my Netrunner's bff. He ran after her and got mortally wounded after taking a hit for her 😭
I managed to save and stabilise him, but now my own character is about to become mortally wound cos I overloaded her by forcing her to quickhack without ram 😭
We cut the session short cos our DM has to attend a reunion dinner... but my Body stat isn't high 🥲. I don't think I'll survive the death saves next session 🥲. This is how I die I guess 🥲
