Just got up early for nothing; a rant.

I had to call my Supe. last minute yesterday to get today off as I have to pick up Mom from the airport (her original ride fell through and SIs is sick). I don’t have to go til 1:30 so told Supe I could work the morning boats. The last text I got was that she couldn’t get a hold of our sub but that she should be okay.

 Now we are SUPPOSED to have two people on in the summer; sometimes it’s not possible but Supe. will work by herself more often then not even if sub *was* available. Thursday mornings are crazy busy so when I didn’t hear anything more I decided to err on the side of caution and go in. She was kind of cranky about it as sub was able to come in so I just said last I knew it was still unknown. On the way home she texted to apologize (shocker) for not being clear but then was like; “I told you I’d be okay by myself.” Eurgh. So I just said I knew it was going to be really busy so came just in case.

I shouldn’t complain too much as this was a really last minute call out for a non illness thing and I honestly wouldn’t have minded getting up early if she hadn’t been so cranky about it...
