secondly i need to talk about this tumblr account for a moment: this used to be my getaway from literally everything else and one of my most vulnerable forms of social media but i really haven't been all that active on it lately, and neither have i felt compelled to post anything GN'R related or even any other hyperfixation i might be having rn and honestly i think it's time to let go & start over:

i wanna start a new Tumblr for all my interests (GN'R included dw) and just make it more custom made to me, a place where i can show off all the things i like ATM, make it more about my aesthetic and me as a person and NGL i could just do it here but, this account was and still is a representation of the maddening hyperfixation i have on Axl and i don't really want to spoil that LMAO but it's something i need to leave behind in the past.

so yeah. i won't be deleting it but it's time for me to say buh-bye to this account!

sometimes i wonder about the people ted left behind in the us. i mean, the way he is, the little we do see of his coaching from then, i have no doubt he had a great impact on his players and staff there, too; that they loved him, too. but like, we never see ted still connected to any of them. i understand why like, on a doylist level--narratively it would just clutter things to have this whole other cast, and beard is already there showing his previous important connections, but like. i dunno. i just wonder.

Nate spits on his reflection bc it is what's everyone around him has always done with his "bad" parts. His father has always told him no matter what that he's doing it's wrong. So when he sees himself being weak and scared he spits on it. He puts that part of himself in its place, telling it that it's worthless so it backs off enough he can do whatever brave thing he needs to do. He can't see to the capable parts of himself when he also sees weakness there.

But when he saw his reflection here?

He was still in this bathroom because he was scared, but he has enough confidence, is starting to know his value, that he doesn't need to put the "weak" part of himself down to pick the rest up. They can exist together because his capability is bigger than his fear.

Rewatched TGAMM's 'Faint of Art' and I feel like Sharon is increasingly relatable because when it comes to creativity, there's that fear of trying and getting rejected or else just not being good enough at what you love doing. And I feel like that is just as terrifying as worrying about not living life to the fullest.

Also.... damn. Another episode of foreshadowing, and it's paired with 'A soda to remember' of all episodes? Seriously, Sharon was reminded me of Todd, especially when she expressed her fears. (Too bad Scratch didn't remember his past at that time because there would have been an interesting conversation between those two).

✈️ AIRPLANE — does your oc like traveling, or do they consider themselves a more homey person?

She has to travel a lot for her athletic competitions. She likes visiting new places but hates the travel part, especially if it's far away and she has to sit in the car or plane or whatever for a long long time. She loves travelling with Tyler but their idea of an ideal vacation is different. While she’d like a more active vacation, going hiking, exploring nature and places, Tyler would rather stay in the city or at the beach and just rest and relax. But hey, they’re good at coming to a compromise that works for them both.

🐷 PIG FACE — what is your oc's favorite animal?

I can see a wolf being her favourite animal.

❤️ RED HEART — what are three of your oc's positive traits?

She’s doing a pretty great job at not comparing herself to others. One of her quotes to live by is “you’re only competing against who you were yesterday”. 

But don’t get me wrong, she’s not obsessed with chasing perfection either, aside from her sports career maybe. There she wants to be the very best and she’s setting impressive goals for herself, she’s quite ambitious and she's willing to do whatever it takes to reach her dreams.

She doesn’t let gossip and rumours dictate how she should feel about a person. She doesn’t jump on the hate train without hesitation…heck, she doesn’t really jump on the hate train at all. She’s just not a hateful person, and if you have an issue with someone, there are better ways to deal with that than to let your whole soul be consumed with hate and rage towards them.

🤍 WHITE HEART — what are three of your oc's neutral/questionable traits?

She's got a bit of a “I'm not like the other girls” syndrome. It's something she grows out of as time goes but it's definitely there when she first shows up in the story.

…and now I noticed I misread the question, I thought it said negative. Well, the “I’m not like the other girls” mindset sure is questionable, eh? As a former not like the other girls person now not like the other swifties person, I’d say it’s complex. It doesn’t have to be entirely negative, it’s just…not very healthy overall. 

She can come off distant, cold and uninterested a lot of times, even if she is actually interested. It goes beyond the resting bitch face, which she sure puts on often unintentionally. I dunno. It’s like the emotional switch in her brain takes a bit to flip on. People who know her know that, but it can intimidate strangers. (which…can be a good thing sometimes, now that I think about it 😂)

You don’t want to argue with her. You just don’t. She’s not hotheaded, she won’t yell at you immediately, but she can do it. Her angry fiery part doesn’t show up often, again, if she’s pissed she’s more ice-like, but when the fire starts, you won’t soon forget it.

🧐 FACE WITH MONOCLE — is your oc more logical or emotional?

I think I sort of said it in the above answer – at first, it’s cold logic, rationality, analyzing facts and acting purely based on them. But a lot of times, the switch eventually flips and emotions kick in. And I'd say it depends a lot on the situation or the problem, too.

like my biggest thing is that i don’t mind ted lasso being referred to as show about mental health!!! it’s just. I don’t get why they’re PRAISED for it. why they go to the white house to praise themselves for it considering,,,,,, Ted’s mental health worsened in season three, they had rebecca see a psychic instead of a therapist, they only put roy in therapy in the last like minute of the show, they made a joke about jamie seeing sharon because unlike keeley “she’s actually paid to listen to you talk” and they just treated it like a. oh haha jamie talks so much about himself haha. beard’s mental health was only addressed in like one episode (two if you count mom city but still they didn’t really delve into his mental health, just that he betrayed ted) and they kept making jokes about his obviously abusive relationship,,,,,, like. ted lasso is about mental health yeah but.
