Masih masuk SP (street photography) kah klu kita mengonsep ?
*Mengonsep disini ada 2 pengertian
Mengonsep apa yang akan kita buat (karya) atau mengonsep kejadiannya? Jika mengonsep dalam arti kita sudah punya rencana mau motret apa, ini sangat diharapkan, namun jika mengonsep kejadiannya (rekayasa) ini tetap menjadi sebuah karya fotografi tapi bukan street photography.
Kita bisa bikin SP, kita bisa bikin HI, kita juga bisa bikin genre yang lainnya, spt tadi yang saya katakan ada. Konsep /gagasan mesti ada dulu, jangan motret dulu baru menentukan masuk genre mana. Yang dikonsep adalah gagasan cerita nya, misalnya mau bikin siluet dengan komposisi framing. Mau bikin shadow dengan komposisi ROT, dsb. Kejadian atau peristiwa tanpa rekayasa namun jangan kuatir, jika direkayasa tetap menjadi karya foto kok, tapi bukan street photography.
Bagaimana membuat komposisi yg enak dr sesuatu yg spontan, terlebih di SP ? *Street Photograpy sama dengan genre lain, Yang berbeda adalah konsepsi didalamnya. Ada shadow, light and shadow, persamaan dll.
Apakah saat motret dijalan sudah ada gambaran dari rumah mau motret apa atau terpikirkan saat di lokasi/jalanan? *Dari rumah niat saya hunting foto…. Setelah sampai tempat tujuan saya perhatikan dulu lingkungan sekitar (observasi)…setelah itu saya mulai memotret (ada siluet bagus nih, jepret ah) ada portrait bagus nih, jepret ah).

Berarti meski di ruang publik, tp udah direkayasa (ada model, ada pose aktivitas kegiatan sehari2 meski sudah "natural") tetep ga masuk kategori SP kah? *Street adalah foto ruang publik tapi tidak semua foto di ruang publik itu masuk street photograpy…. Benar sekali (jika membawa model misalnya, ini bisa jadi genre fashion atau portrait)
Dalam dunia per potoan di jalan perlu ijinkah bila menyangkut foto individu? *Street photograpy adalah foto candid, jadi tanpa izin pada yang bersangkutan… Yang perlu dipahami adalah…. Manusia dalam subjek street photograpy adalah tokoh anonim sebagai perwakilan lingkungan tsb…. Bukan tokoh individu…. Penggiat Street Photograpy bukan paparazi.
Jangan memotret dulu baru berpikir ini masuk genre mana. *Sebelum kita memencet tombol shutter, kita tentukan dulu, kita mau membuat genre apa. Misalnya : Kita mau buat street photograpy, berarti apa yang kita foto adalah sesuatu yang sekiranya masuk pada konsep Street photograpy itu sendiri.. (diatas sudah ada beberapa yang saya sebutkan).
Bukankah di SP juga kita mengejar moment ? *Dalam mengejar, pastinya kita udah ada rencanakan…. Kita mau membuat apa? … Ini yang saya maksud dengan gagasan/konsep Sebuah momen bisa kita dapatkan dari : 1. Menunggu 2. Mengejar 3. Menemukan
Semisalnya saya sengaja memakaikan baju warna merah ke anak berharap kali aja ada momen yg pas ketika saya mengajak mereka jalan'' (karena masih takut foto orang lain lebih sering anak yg dimasukin frame). tapi momen itu saya biarkan apa adanya tanpa pengarahan. Apa seperti itu bisa dikatakan saya mengkonsep dan tidak termasuk SP? *Jangan takut untuk belajar beradaptasi dengan lingkungan, ini sah sah saja, dan tetap ini menjadi sebuah karya foto nantinya, namun belum street photograpy. *Sudah direncanakan dari pilihan baju dan pilihan tokohnya karena alasan tertentu, tapi tetap diperbolehkan.
Apa bedanya street photography n human interest ? Soalnya ke 2 genre ini hampir sama *Perbedaan yang mencolok adalah, street photograpy mengabadikan momen spontan (tentunya dengan konsepsi street yang ada). Sedangkan HI memotret manusia dengan harapan orang jadi punya rasa simpatik. Catatan : selain bisa dikonsep, HI juga bisa kita dapatkan dari ruang publik.
Keuntungannya kembali lagi ke sebuah lokasi adalah : kita sudah mengebali lingkungan tersebut.
Bagaimana cara mengatasi ketakutan / kekuatiran saat memotret SP? *Kekuatiran tentang hal ini memang bisa menjadi kendala dalam kita berkarya, namun jika kita selalu menempatkan manusia sebagai tokoh anonim dan tidak ada hal yang merugikan subjek yang kita foto, ini aman aman saja. Dan street photography bukan saja terbatas dengan subjek manusia, kita juga bisa bikin street animals, swp.

Perlu digarisbawahi oleh kita semua penggiat foto jalanan….. Kita adalah tamu diruangpublik, selayaknya tamu, kita wajib menghormati tuan rumah. Ingat bahwa kita membuat karya seni bukan membuat berita.
Saat kita memotret siluet Apakah pure dari kondisi cahaya Atau campur dengan editing ? • Saya selalu mengedit foto saya, dari crop, rekomposisi, cahaya, saturasi dll. Untuk siluet sendiri saya juga edit bukan khusus membuat siluetnya karena pasti kita tahu atau kita bisa liat sebelum pada layar HP kita, apakah subjek sudah membentuk siluet atau belum…. Editing tinggal penegasan saja.
Kebiasaan saya adalah selalu membuang file mentah setelah masuk editing. Saya selalu menganalogikan hal ini spt kita mau memasak. Kita kepasar beli bahan sayuran dll. Setelah itu kita racik sedemikian rupa menjadi masakan,setelah itu kita menikmatinya. Lalu yang mentah bagaimana? Fotografi adalah sebuah hasil akhir.
Street animals: kita bermain main dengan binatang.
Streetwhioutpeople: street tanpa manusia.
Kita bisa motret patung dll, munculkan cerita menarik dengan subjek tsb.

all the rise boys get done dirty on characterization by fandom in different ways i think. (not ALL the time every fanwork etc etc these are just like, trends i tend to notice?) every fandom suffers from losing character nuance.
- leo i’ve talked about plenty on this blog, how some of his canon traits (genuine belief in his skill and cockiness, capacity for joy, his manipulativeness whether for good or ill) seem to get watered down or wiped off the board and supplemented with generic sad boy. his struggles with purpose and identity and not wanting to fail somehow morph into “he hates and completely holds no value for himself”
- donnie’s canon personality gets blurred out and largely replaced with whatever list of Neurodivergent Traits. and i think there’s such a fine line to walk between exploring a character that’s been word of god confirmed as on the spectrum and overwriting what’s canonically there. it’s a hard needle to thread. it also feels like a lot of his canon emotiveness gets left off the table for some reason. bc he does have his moments of flat/deadpan delivery, but a lot of the time he’s honestly very emotive. he has the passion of a theatre kid and the vindictiveness of... also a theatre kid. and the mind of a scientist.
- raph loses so much of his rowdy teen boy energy it’s kind of wild? like interpretations sand off that he’s also impulsive and can be reckless and dumb and LOVES fighting and roughhousing and isn’t the most eloquent person. suddenly there’s this pitch perfect soft boy big bro who would never hurt a fly and always says the exact right supportive thing and singlehandedly raised his 3 brothers (which simultaneously sands off all the nuance of splinter’s issues emotionally connecting with his sons and how that affected all of them). and like i LOVE raph, he’s so full of love and care and anxiety, he clearly has learned to put a lot of work into being aware of his strength and size. but there’s a difference you know?
- mikey is like. where raph gets overparentified by fanon, mikey gets over “family therapist”-ed IMO. the impulsiveness, the goofiness, the powerful emotions including a VERY powerful temper, the flat-out dumb teen boy choices... they get ignored. suddenly there’s this only very sweet and earnest boy who has read a hundred psychology books and runs group family therapy weekly or something. he is crying in his room bc leo and raph are arguing about something. which is so. he IS very sweet and can be very earnest and is full of love! he HAS come in with his opinions and unsolicited advice a couple of times and life coached for the greater good. but there’s a difference between what he does in canon and the role he gets in fanon.

Even though John is under-powered in this period we still see what made him so magnetic to Paul and to others around him. There is a scene early in Part Two that I find riveting. It takes place a couple of days after George has left. The status of everything - the project, the band - remains uncertain, but they are ploughing on for now. John, Yoko, Ringo, Paul and some of the crew are sitting in a semi-circle. Paul looks pensive. Ringo looks tired. John is speaking only in deadpan comic riffs, to which Paul responds now and again. Peter Sellers comes in and sits down, looks ill-at-ease, and leaves having barely said a word, unable to penetrate the Beatle bubble. At some point they’re joined by Lindsay-Hogg, and the conversation dribbles on. John mentions that he had to leave an interview that morning in order to throw up (he and Yoko had taken heroin the night before). Paul, looking into space rather than addressing anyone in particular, attempts to turn the conversation towards what they’re meant to be doing:
Paul: See, what we need is a serious program of work. Not an endless rambling among the canyons of your mind.
John: Take me on that trip upon that golden ship of shores… We’re all together, boy.
Paul: To wander aimlessly is very unswinging. Unhip.
John: And when I touch you, I feel happy inside. I can’t hide, I can’t hide. [pause] Ask me why, I’ll say I love you.
Paul: What we need is a schedule.
John: A garden schedule.
I mean first of all, who is writing this incredible dialogue? Samuel Beckett?
Let’s break it down a little. The first thing to note is that John and Paul are talking to each other without talking to each other. This is partly because they’re aware of the cameras and also because they’re just not sure how to communicate with each other at the moment. John’s contributions are oblique, gnomic, riddling, comprised only of songs and jokes, like the Fool in King Lear. Take me on that trip upon that golden ship of shores sounds like a Lennonised version of a line from Dylan’s Tambourine Man (“take me on a trip upon your magic swirling ship”). “We’re altogether, boy”? I have no idea. Does Paul? I think John expects Paul to understand him because he has such faith in what they used to call their “heightened awareness”, a dreamlike, automatic connection to each other’s minds. But right now, Paul is not much in the mood for it. His speech is more direct, though he too adopts a quasi-poetic mode (“canyons of your mind” is borrowed from a song by the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band) and he can’t bring himself to make eye contact. “To wander aimlessly is very unswinging,” he says (another great line, I will pin it above my writing desk). Then John does something amazing: he starts talking in Beatle, dropping in lyrics from the early years of the band, I Want To Hold Your Hand and Ask Me Why. (To appreciate John’s response to Paul’s mention of a schedule, American readers may need reminding that English people pronounce it “shed - dule”.)
What’s going on throughout this exchange? Maybe Lennon is just filling dead air, or playing to the gallery, but I think he is (also) attempting to communicate to Paul in their shared code - something like he loves him, he loves The Beatles, they’re still in this together. Of course, we can’t know. I can’t hide, John says, hiding behind his wordplay.

Been a while since I did a summary so here's one of the later sessions (this one written by me muhaha)
So for a couple weeks now the party has found a shapeshifter village to stay in while Arameia gets her Character Moment by bonding with the other werewolves and seeing what they can be like (and hey maybe it's not as bad of a curse as she thinks)
If anyone remembers, a WHILE ago, Arameia broke Raha's glaive when in werewolf form, so it was time to finally fix it up. So my session begins with the party going to a blacksmith that's out of the village, few miles out, a recluse. He is said to be a master and proficient in Elven style of blacksmithing - when they find the forge all the windows are closed, were it not for the smoke from the chimney it would look abandonded.
At first the half-elf blacksmith Greiolf refused entry, but upon hearing that it was for an Elven weapon, reluctantly he let them in. Inside the house is dark, and he forced the party to kinda shuffle in instead of opening the door fully (hint hint).
While inspecting the weapons, by accident, another person reveals themselves in the house, his adoptive daughter, a (seemingly) half-elf woman named Alphienne. The gang is asked to gather the materials necessary to do the repairs (Specific type of wood for Raha's glaive as an example), but since it's late they're welcome to stay for dinner.

During the dinner, the gang really bonds with the small family. Arameia especially, since she herself has an adoptive father, who she left in order to protect from herself. She really likes this old man. Alphienne having lost her parents in the war, and Greiolf being an ex soldier, preferring to keep to himself. He walks with a limp from a recent injury so he requests the party to gather water from a near by well and firewood in the morning. Oddly during the dinner, Alphienne does not seem to eat much, if at all. She cleans up the plates with shaky hands before leaving to wash them followed by Arameia - who to test a suspicion, cuts her hand. Alphienne turned away but did not do anything else, leaving Arameia to shrug and walk back.
After spending the night in the wagon, the gang did as requested, walking to get water and firewood, but seeing a nearby stream, decided to also catch some fish so the family had some fresh food (Raha gathering things like mushrooms and herbs instead). On their way back, they noticed the smoke was no coming from the chimney, and when they stepped in the forge was quiet...empty, and bloody. The repaired weapons lay on the table, but no sign of either of the two occupants.
Following the trail of bloody footprints and handprints, they come upon a grisly scene. Greiolf, disemboweled and Alphienne, a vampire spawn, sitting empty before his body, her whole body stained with blood. It's not hard to deduce that she had murdered him in her hunger. She explains shakily, that she hasn't eaten in several days, or maybe even over a week (Vampires that live off animal blood need nigh daily feeding), that she has no idea how to hunt, and that Greiolf's injury prevented him from hunting too. That the blood from yesterday, made her lose it, made her focus on her hunger, remembering the taste of it.

So the dilemma set over the party: to spare her and leave, or to punish her for what she has done. Raha and Blythe chose to leave, they saw it as an act of survival. If they are paid to hunt her later, they will, but they are not arbiters of morality to be carrying out a sentence for her.
Lorelai did not wish to leave, forced to confront her possible future, and her past, having also accidently slaughtered her father. She wanted her gone, to prove that she isn't a wild animal and can control herself unlike this spawn.
Arameia wanted to slay her for her own feelings, having seen Greiolf as similar to her own father, it was hard not to imagine him there instead, broken and slain, perhaps even by her hand had she stayed. She wished to punish her for taking away such a person. But ultimately, she decided to not pursue further bloodshed.
Eirwen also wanted to do something, in her eyes leaving her behind puts innocent people at risk, that she will feed on others, and more blood will be spilled, but she too was unwilling to stain her own hands to carry out this kill.
They ended up leaving, the forge now empty sans it's final lonely occupant. In the inn, it was a heavy conversation, everyone sharing their thoughts and perspective. That they left a dangerous beast, that will hunt others - but if you do not wish her to hunt, then kill her, but you cannot. That is being a spawn a death sentence should you be untrained in combat? What qualifies as someone 'innocent'? After all they slay many a person on their travels.
Lorelai revealed the reason she is traveling, the past with her father to the party, saying that she cannot pass judgement on her ultimately, despite her feelings, since she is the same.

And so the two beasts and the cleric are at impasse of what they shall do should the harrowing day for their own test come.
Some fun DM things I hid throughout the game for funsies:
Greiolf being a soldier and Alphienne having lost her parents to war was intentional, as it is left ambiguous as to what side he was on, and how much he had participated in that. It is implied he took her in out of guilt
The bloodied forge and the victims showed no signs of struggle. There was no blood under Greiolfs fingernails, and Alphienne bared no injuries.
The fishing trip was meant to instill a feeling of guilt - if they had come earlier would this have been prevented? In truth yes and no. Sure they could have held this off for another day, but what about tomorrow? Or next week? This was a tragedy that was in motion long before they came
Likewise, whether or not Arameia's cut actually played a role in causing the incident in a domino effect is also left up to interpretation.
Despite being Half-Elf, throughout the dinner Greiolf kept referring to Elven blacksmiths as 'they' rather than 'we' - when pointed out by Eirwen he shrugged and just said he didn't feel as though he belonged with them. This was a reflection of an attitude Raha also encountered.
This attitude was also the reason he wished to work on Elven weapons, as he rarely got an opportunity, as a Half-Elf.
Closed windows, the door opening aside, Alphienne was portrayed as being extremely jittery, stumbling over her words, un-coordinated and looking fatigued - signs that she was starving.
Killing Alphienne would have actually not caused any difference or change, as she leaves after this.

So like. Al's body is connected to Ed's right, and they share nutrition, with the burden being on Ed to provide the fuel. Do they share emotions too, since those can affect someone physically? Because that would sure explain some of why Ed's mood can be so erratic and heightened. Especially considering he would be feeling not only all his own fucked up trauma, but Al's body's very unique trauma. Not to mention DOUBLE PUBERTY. Which honestly should be enough price to get their bodies back on its own...
Does Al's soul affect how his body feels as well? Or vice versa? Are the brothers so dependent on each other and intune (most of the time) because they're literally feeling what the other does on a chemical scale? They don't have the other's thoughts to interpret the signals fully, which would also explain when they've both misunderstood and projected their own emotions onto the sensations instead. Looking at you, survivor's guilt.
