Now the psychopath is the one who, just mutilated by his own mother (not only in body, but in soul, since his hand was the link to literally everything he held dear), who coincidentally is also his life-long abuser and tormenter, hurries by her side and cradles her dying body, sobbing and apologising, instead of giving his own wound any consideration, only to receive a spiteful "stupid boy" in return.

Now the psychopath is the one that, even dying, even knowing he's about to be finished off by the only one who should have loved and understood him in all eternity, still tries to save her in all the ways he knows how.

Now the psychopath is the one who, even in death, cannot help but respond to her face of hatred with pride and a smile.

In Shadow & Bone (Netflix) 2x3, Kaz intends to handle Inej’s injuries himself.

He knows the condition she’s in and he sends everyone else away. After having to listen to Pekka Rollins goad him about how he’s going to put her back in the menagerie, after he erupts on Wylan for his ‘history lesson’ about the plague, after Nina warns him that her healing might not be up to the job.

Jesper and Wylan set off for Pekka’s alleged glass factory, Kaz tries to brush Nina off but she would have none of it and he had to give her info so she would go to Hellgate.

Once alone, he goes right to the room where he thinks she’ll be, her name in his mouth, but she’d climbed out the window. Wraith’s gotta Wraith.

He knew what he was in for when he went in and expected to find her. Imagine if she’d stayed. I want that scene.

no sorry i need to say this the way jesper and wylan's relationship was written in the show is making me so mad. it felt so rushed and the events of their relationship felt so out of order, it felt so ingenuine. i get that a season three is not guaranteed and they wanted to establish them while they still had the chance, but there was still plenty of time to do a sweet slowburn within the course of the season. even just a little bit slower. would've been so easy. literally could've just rearranged some of the moments already in the show actually. like honestly if they just had that kiss after wylan saves them from the poison be their first one and like built up their friendship before instead of the whole hooking up before thing i think i probably would've been fine
