This picture contains spoilers, if you haven’t gotten past certain parts of Tears of the Kingdom; please turn back- you’ve been warned

I am going to blunt, learning everything that has lead up to the master sword’s return is brutal. From Rauru losing Sonia to Zelda sacrificing her humanity. It’s painful as both are deaths in their own way. One’s quite more direct while the other despite not being explicably death, is one of the mind. 

Rauru lost the one person other than his sister and potentially Zelda, he felt close to. The person he chose to spend his life with. His tears are quickly turned to action as he commits himself to sealing Ganondorf away. 

Zelda on the other hand, is forced to give up existing as she was. As a dragon, she’d have no memory or thoughts outside the listlessness of a wandering beast. The tears that are shed are heartbreaking as Zelda is effectively lost in the aimlessness of draconification. 

Both left in a state of death, not being fully able to grieve properly and forced to play their roles. Having just lost a loved one myself recently, I am probably projecting my feelings onto this piece. I wish I could control time and just spend some more with that person. 

Alas, I cannot and all I can do is keep on living while I have my own time.

I haven’t posted any drawings in a while due to life and the previously mentioned passing of a loved one. So, please pardon this depressing post.

It's been a hot second since I posted some art. I recently got some watercolors last December and bought some paper so I can actually use them.

I love mixing colors for gradients and I had a lot of green vibes since I hardly remember a time I had a picture with green being a main color.

I took inspiration from botw/totk for at least the cliff bit. The rest was an original idea stemming from coming across a living legend.

In this case, it's a phoenix referred to as the vir-million. It takes its name from the words Vermillion, vibrant and million which references its vibrant vermillion feathers and the rumored lifespan. Compared to the modern phoenixes and their fire bird sub-types, it's said to be one of the closest to the original phoenixes that kickstarted it all.

The small humanoid at the peak of the cliff is my original character Igneous, as he gazes upon something that was long believed to be a simple fable. Well, this particular species of phoenix or fire birds as some other countries would call it. Anyways, it's a fantastical moment as he's dwarfed by this massive living myth.

Behind it, is the majestic amethyst mountains where it seems a few other vir-millions are soaring in their natural habitat. Very secluded from society and only the most curious (or stupid) adventurers dare attempt to get close.

Ahh wow, thank you so much!! I'm really glad you like them!! :D This made me realize I haven't drawn them in a bit so here's a little sketch I did!

Well um. It was supposed to be a sketch but then I liked it and wanted to color it. You know how it is. They're reading together, but Chara can't stop complaining about how poorly-written the characters are or something, and Frisk can barely hold in their laughter, either because of how bad the book is, or the fact that Chara's so passionate about bashing it.
