i just finished the starling girl. i feel like i've never been more anxious or uncomfortable during a film in my life. i will post my spoiler-y thoughts on it later on, but i will say, even though it was extremely tense and uncomfortable, it was quite good. the soundtrack, the camera work, the way they built the tense scenes. everything was very well done in that sense. i get why they cast lewis as owen because he was very convincing. anyway, that's all for now

Like, every other love interest it's expected they will side with you in the finale, but Pan is very much an avoid trouble / run away sort of character. So lemme tell you, the absolute thrill of joy and surprise that went through me at his "Leave her alone" to Athena? Absolutely unparalleled.

Somewhere in between SG and Earthspark

Bumblebee is starting to try to revivieve the autobots and he's struggling because most of the former autobots have retired and are happily living peaceful lives. Bumblebees quest to restore the autobots kinda hits ot top when Mandroid attacks and the former autobots waste no time helping the decepticons restore peace the let the terrans live peaceful lives. But Bumblebee is shaken by this, all these Cybertroians who genuinely believe in a better future, it shakes him and for the first time in a very long time, he feels hope. This is what finally convinces Bumblebee to mentor Thrash

Mandroid is still evil but a lot more secretive and much more of a surprise villain in this universe, where as Croft was less trusted and a little bit more expected

Ghost is prett broken up after that,many of the workers were there to genuinely help the bots and were upset when they found out their bosses weren't

I can't decide if I want the mind control part of the arc or not because on one hand Elita and Megs would understand what Orion went through better but it would fuck Orion up so much. He'd be so guilty and freaked out because it happened again, or we could avoid the angst and Elita could get hurt and have to depend on Orion and that would help heal their relationship

So Bee is downright going through it because he's close to the only one who gives a shit about the old sh autobot bullshit anymore

Makes sense on agent Croft and Dr Meridian yeah yeah

So in my opinion,

Yes mind control.

You of course can suggest Soundwave or Bumblebee gets mind controlled instead, considering how the roles are all swapped around, and it's Orion who has to help the Terrans unfuck everything like Bee did in canon

Actually, you can full well swap around a lot of the autobots and decepticons here and have some of the now reformed SG autobots come in for the rescue!!!! This would make sense considering the badges and how things are swapped around!

Or you can pile on the "fuck not again" angst like I've been doing in some of my earthspark plotlines for Megs
