My “Community Garden” acrylic painting is in the “Our Community” Art Show I’m curated at @leannalinswonderland with a proportion of the sales going to @miryslist

When @dlongfish and I lived in SF his brother and family lived a block away. A few times I went with @chalkandnotch to the community garden they had a plot in. It was so nice to take a few minutes away from our busy schedules to appreciate the garden.

My art has been glazed using @theglazeproject to prevent Ai companies from stealing it.

(San Francisco Bay Area) Buffy and Binx* are one month old sweet, friendly, curious rabbits, living in Berkeley, CA. Binx is mama's twin with brown ears and spots. Binx is adventurous and brave, the first one to explore new things, they love to run fast zoomies, chase mama for milk, climb to the top of their favorite beanbag chair and snuggle with Buffy. Buffy is a beautiful albino snowball. Their hobbies include trying to eat everything mom eats, jumping in the water bowl and snuggling with Binx. Buffy has gorgeous ruby eyes that are sensitive to bright lights and enjoys having a cozy dim place to relax. They will be ready to go to their forever homes when they are fully weaned (mid April). They would love to go to a home together or a home with other rabbit friends to play with. There will be a small rehoming fee, just to make sure they are going to a safe place. My local NPR station just made a discord server earlier this week for their forum segment and I've barely interacted with it but i already love it

But also it feels so surreal seeing this like older super formal organization on the same platform I use to send my friends cat pictures at 3am, like it's not bad, it's just, weird. I don't think I've ever spoken to anyone older than 35 on discord lol, and suddenly there's a whole server that's 50% gay teenagers with normal Internet usernames and pfps and 50% business casual 50yos who look like they copy pasted their profile from LinkedIn.

I think it's really cool though, like it gets more young voices to people who don't hear them as much. Like it's right there on my phone now, I've been tempted to call in before, mention my perspective as a queer person when I thought it was relevant to something they were discussing on the show, now I just might actually do it.

I think it'll also be interesting to observe how older folks adjust to being in a space where they're held to the norms and culture of younger generations instead of vice versa.
