Some Pinoys may remember Doraemon as their childhood tv series dubbed into Filipino, but this isn’t all there is to the cute blue icon.
Doraemon is not just about a robot with cool gadgets sent from the future. It’s about life itself, especially in Japan’s culture.  A majority of Doraemon episodes are comedies with moral lessons regarding values such as integrity, perseverance, courage, family and respect for elders. These values are highly regarded in the Filipino culture as well. No wonder why Filipinos were and still are invested in this show!

Plot
Doraemon, a cat robot from the 22nd century, is sent by Sewashi Nobi to help Nobita Nobi, a young boy who scores poor grades and is frequently bullied by his two classmates, Gian and Suneo, so that his descendants can improve their lives.
In most episodes, a typical story consists of Nobita taking a gadget from Doraemon for his needs eventually causing more trouble than he was trying to solve.
