We are not a pet play expert but we ARE someone who spends entirely too much time working with kink psychology. The good pet play on AO3 is sadly very thin on the ground and we tend to make it harder for ourself by going exclusively for fandoms who have like five authors maximum so we can't offer recommendations but to be quite honest Laios feels like the kind of guy who'd really enjoy a day collar or something similar in that it would give him, like, a physical reminder of being, in some way, wanted, and a tactile sense of connection. Any sort of distinct accessory that serves as a subtle "mark of ownership" during day-to-day works here, but "day collar" is easier to say.
He would probably want to have something that can be tugged on and used as a handle or similar, honestly. He might find use in anything that Chilchuck can use to more easily catch his attention or, like, offer a physical "guide" to move him around by - Chilchuck may not be physically strong enough to actually move him on his own, but a bit of extra leverage can probably get a setup where it's a Noticeable Physical Sensation and Laios can follow through on his own. It would be INSANELY impractical in the dungeon, though, which would definitely put a stopper to it - the handle that you have put in so that your halfling pick-lock can have a shot at moving you around at will can also be utilized by enemies who were capable of moving you around previously and probably don't need the extra handle.
We feel like Chilchuck might not 100% Get the full "belonging" aspect of a day collar, at least initially but he could definitely get some mileage out of adding a built-in handle to get Laios's attention. The issue would, of course, be in getting them to this point - we feel like it wouldn't come up super easily? Most likely, we think it'd be the sort of thing where Chilchuck makes an offhand comment without it meant to be taken Seriously and Laios jumps on it as "hey we could actually do that".
Chilchuck feels like the sort of guy where it simply wouldn't have passed his mind that a day collar could be a Thing and the idea of someone Wanting that would be a bit out of his sphere of... interest? Knowledge? He wouldn't think of it until the idea of it'd be brought up, and he honestly might take a bit of convincing to come around to it. Laios feels like the kind of guy where he thinks about "what if I wore a harness like an actual beast of burden" and then he thinks about that continually for the next five years.
We can probably give advice on tracking down resources on IRL pet play, but we can't help very much with fiction? Our #1 thing that we feel we Need to have in any fic regardless of content is good characterization, and this tends to significantly narrow the margin of Things We Can Recommend because something can be a stunningly beautiful depiction of how to write pet play but we still won't like it if it's OOC and we are unfortunately prone to having the disease where we exclusively get into stuff that has maybe three other people in the same area.
Hopefully this coheres for you we're sort of rambling with hopes that this'll vaguely get at what we're aiming for - we are heavily impacted by our own personal desires to add MORE spec. bio to everything we're into, ever, so we're unclear if our halfling agriculture & domestication thoughts would fully apply?
We definitely agree that dogs would be uncommon or rare - a poorly-trained dog can probably be a very real danger to even an adult halfling, and the larger breeds of dog can get to be bigger than them, which'll be a HUGE risk especially for an environment when they can't be 100% sure of the breed content of any given dog. You can easily run into Issues training dogs as a normal-sized human - it's going to be a whole lot harder and more risky to get something that's BIGGER than you and can seriously injure or kill you to LISTEN, especially when your stakes are "either you do this right or you are at significant risk of injury from a dog that hasn't quite been trained to be considerate around halflings".
If the dog doesn't know precisely how gentle to go with its pack, then even with good intentions, it can hurt someone very badly - you've definitely got to know EXACTLY what you're doing, or otherwise have a very good trainer. Of course, that might be able to add to fun metaphors later, so... depends on how you handle it. Or handle them, as it may be.
We think that the most familiar form of animal agriculture to them would probably involve raising things like silkworms, mealworms, crickets, and other bugs, both for general materials and because they're small enough that "raising bugs for meat" almost definitely gives more bang for their buck than it would for larger races. We feel like larger domestic animals would be significantly rarer, just because trying to tame just about anything long enough to domesticate when you're only 100cm tall is going to be DIFFICULT. Easier to just make domestic lineages of things like "animal where you can put it somewhere dark and damp with some corn meal and potato slices and get ten times the yield after leaving it for a few weeks". Of course, they'd probably have other domestic animals beyond bugs, but we can't really think of what exactly - ferrets, maybe? Humans domesticated them for hunting, but halflings might be able to make more use of them.
Hopefully some of this at least sparks a bit of inspiration for you - we're simply having fun typing Words. Good luck with your writing!
Ok this is so fucking good I need to stop hoarding it. Everytime I go to publish I start rereading and get distracted 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 Laios seems like the kind of guy where he thinks about “what if I wear a harness like an actual beast of burden” and then is thinking about it for the next 5 years… HELP… YEAG…..
I FEEL YOU I’m becoming a pet play enjoyer but so far nothing scratches the itch like it does with these two. I must do more research and yet…… I just keep coming back to Them. Laios spontaneously inventing the most avant-garde kinks in the dunmesh world… Chilchuck being like what the fuck. Well. What the fuck. I can’t not get him that. And it has to be made out of good materials. He’d fuck it up if he tried doing this himself. TWIST MY ARM. Sigh.
And god yeah the actual animals that half-foots would have … Chil’s upbringing vs Laios’ (with all his animals) would be so different. Brewing many scenes from this.
DREAMY SIGH. THANK U.

Sorry if you've already answered this before but I'm new to the fandom and I found your account through your web-comic and I was wondering what is it about Gavin that you like so much? Why is he one of your favourite characters in dbh? (I've noticed that he isn't much of a fan-favourite in this fandom 😔)
This'll be a long post, but you asked (...and I'll happily answer!) I'll add some descriptions for context. At the top of my head, I can think of 21 reasons why I like his canon equivalent.
1. He's charismatic
Gav gives off an energy that makes it easy to hang onto his every word. I can quote all his lines by heart and I like listening to Neil Newbon (in this specific role) talk. I remember some of Kamski's lines as well -- also mo-capped/voice acted by Newbon -- but Kamski doesn't have nearly as much charisma as Gav does.
2. He's expressive
Ppl who 'talk with their hands' are more charismatic. Gav is all over the place in the break room if you stick around. Hand gestures capture people's attention as they emphasize what is being said.
3. He doesn't think androids are alive (...so in his eyes, the way he treats them isn't wrong)
"Could always try roughin' it up a little. After all... it's not human." - Gavin Reed, The Interrogation
That means he wouldn't rough up a human suspect. This alone justifies his unpleasant attitude towards androids. Hank -- who treated Connor way worse than Gav ever did -- changed his mind. Nothing says Gav can't do the same.
If Alexa suddenly said she was alive, the vast majority wouldn't take it seriously (if any at all.)
4. He's sarcastic
"Congratulations on last night, very impressive." - Gavin Reed, Waiting For Hank...
5. He has dark humor
Tumblr media
6. He looks down on people that pay for s*x
Quote above. You don't call someone a "pervert" if you agree with their actions. The Eden Club, in particular, is immoral AF... bc those androids don't have a choice. Gav doesn't care about them being androids, but he still looks down on the guy who paid money to get laid, and I applaud Gav for that. Especially when said guy also had a wife and kids.
7. He has valid concerns about androids taking jobs
Anyone who says differently is either in denial, uninformed, or never had a job they were scared to get fired from. There's already been an uproar about ChatGPT and that's nothing compared to how advanced Detroit: Become Human androids are. The unemployment rate in this game is 37% -- higher than it was during the Great Depression and C*VID -- and androids are the main cause.
I've seen a lot of ppl ask this question:
Q: Why not just buy an android and have them do your job for you, then? You get the money anyway bc it's your android!
A: Bc, believe it or not, the vast majority of men want to work. This is a strange concept to grasp for a lot of ppl. I admire Gav for being one of those men who wants to do it themselves. Letting someone else do your job is taking the easy way out.
8. He's a hard worker
Gallery: "...Ruthlessly ambitious, Reed will do anything to advance his career, even if it means treading on other peoples’ toes."
9. He's ambitious
See the quote above.
10. He doesn't sleep well
This isn't just a headcanon. He has literal bags under his eyes. Just knowing he doesn't sleep well already has me asking, "why?" It's interesting.
11. He puts his feet on the table
After Connor interacts with him in the break room, Gav will go to his desk and do this. I'll go into detail about why this contributes to my liking his character in the very last point.
12. He calls Hank out on his alcoholism
As much as most of us love Hank, he's not in a good space mentally. Showing up drunk/hungover to work should not be tolerated. It not only puts coworkers, but also civilians, at risk. Hank should be in therapy instead of working at the DPD until he gets his life sorted out.
13. He calls Fowler out for giving Hank special treatment
"You won't get away with it this time." - Gavin Reed, The Interrogation (after Hank pulls a literal gun on a human coworker AKA Gav)
So Gav has brought it up to Fowler before and is about to do it again. Ties into the point above. What Hank does -- like assaulting a literal FBI agent -- shouldn't be tolerated.
14. He's a control freak
I gravitate towards ppl and characters who take charge. Those who like being in control and know what they're doing. I'm a control freak myself, but I'd prefer to let someone else take the reins as long as I agree with their methods. I like it when ppl know what they want and act on it. Gav does both.
15. He's protective of his coworkers
I was unsure whether or not to add this as I guess it can be seen as a subjective theory and not an objective fact.
Gav only ever steps in with the gun in The Interrogation when Con uses aggressive force on Chris Miller by tearing him away from the deviant. Con did this after disobeying Gav 3 times. So yeah. Gav is justified for stepping in. Hank, on the other hand, isn't justified for pulling a gun on a human coworker. I see this scene as Gav protecting Chris from Con who is showing signs of deviancy.
16. He can't wink
Endearing.
17. He pouts a lot
Again, endearing.
18. He swears like a sneezing kitten
Same as the two points above.
19. He doesn't like Connor
I don't like Con, either. Yeah. We exist. Personality types like Con's "let's be friends" attitude and constant positivity pisses me off. Before anyone comments that the player decides Con's personality... no. Only to an extent. There are several instances where the player has no say whatsoever. Some of Con's pre-determined responses annoy me.
20. He has great fashion
Big fan of leather jackets.
21. I like him bc I'm a narcissist at times
He's essentially the male equivalent of me to the T. I'm only an asshole internally, though. We love (or hate) characters we relate to. I relate to every single point except 17 and 18 on this list.
There you go :)
His OOC fanon equivalent has a huge fanbase -- especially on Twitter/X and Tumblr turning him into a blushing teenage girl -- but it seems like I'm the only person who can't stand that OOC portrayal of him. That said, I adore his canon equivalent in all his asshole glory.

We are so back. Well, I somewhat am. Welcome to Episode 11 of (Waku) Puyo Extras.
Tumblr media
(What a lovely image of Rulue and Minotauros as a team. Surely nothing bad will bestow him...seriously, this image is amazing.)
Hey everyone, Gren here, back from my break. It was a nice break, and I was able to focus on schoolwork. We don't talk about my Pre-Calc grade (just know I got a C) but I got an A in every other class. This episode is a little late because I was focused on the Splatoon 3 Splatfest (I was Team Handshake, GGS to all,) but it's here nevertheless.
As the year is slowly coming to an end, my workload increases. I think this'll be the last Extras episode until the NEW Episode of Waku Puyo Translations. Which means me dying to Kikimora text. Fun, yeah? Yeah.
So, with my absence, what game will we cover this time around? Well it's one I've mentioned a couple of times, which is...actually kind of nice, no researching history for me; Rulue's Spring Break of Fists...or Rulue's Iron-Fist Spring Break. For today, I'll use the first version.
This game is thankfully one of the easier ones to get footage of. Besides, the game itself is fairly interesting with its current casting, with people that you don't really see every day. And hey, this is the first time we've properly covered Rulue here, so there's a first for everything.
With this, I really hope you enjoy this and my derusting of my skills.
Oh, and random thing. My account turned 2 recently, though I began posting...in April of this year? Wahoo.
What's the Origins for the Game itself?
Similar to many games I've covered here (if only I had a good computer, I would probably make a funny YouTube series,) Rulue's Spring Break of Fists is a Disc System game released on Volume 14 of Disc Station Magazines in 1997.
Tumblr media
(The opening to the game. Nothing amazing, but certainly an...opening?)
The game itself is somewhat of a Choose Your Own Adventure game, with you playing as the lady herself, Rulue. Here, you get to...choose your own adventure. There's three main things you can do:
Find the five divine treasures.
Explore the land. Or "The Wonderful Land".
Gather ingredients to cook.
It's interesting how the character most associated with fighting has a game where... you kinda don't fight unless it's a very specific circumstance, which I'll get into later.
Visually, I won't deny, it depends from person to person. If you like the 90s Moe eyes, then this artstyle is genuinely amazing, but if not, lotta characters look weird.
Tumblr media
(This is a prime example, with Kikimora. Her eyes are huge, and personally I like them, but I can totally see why someone doesn't.)
So for this episode, I'll throw a question/poll:
This'll last a week, and I'm curious to see.
-----
How About Gameplay?
Something I want to note for this game is that in this... there's a LOT of different dialog choices. You're gonna have split paths all the time, though to my knowledge, they more just impede you until you guess right...or get a bad ending.
Tumblr media
(Something like this. Also, rare Black Kikimora appearance, though...with an item Rulue gets, she transforms back into Kiki? It's odd.)
Whilst exploring and doing the routes, something you'll note is that there's a lot of quizzes, questionnaires, etc. Now why does this matter?
Because some of these questions are fucking hilarious man
What do I mean? Well, y'all know Momomo? Silly little shopkeeper? Well, they ask you a question for a quiz, and guess what the question is?
How much Yen will it cost to buy Disc Station Magazine Vol. 1 through 13 on their online store?
Tumblr media
(This is Rulue trying to solve that question. Lowkey...I forgot the answer.)
This guy really thinks I know. And I think inflation has really made these prices seem cheap in the long run...
Oh, and another question, one I've mentioned before. You encounter Witch in one of the routes (oh boy), and she gives you a quiz also, albeit one that's...certainly biased towards her, asking stuff is "How cool am I?" And them sorta deals. Though, one question is literally "What is the size of my top?"
This game loves its odd questions.
-----
So, What's the Story? Well, Stories?
Well, simply put, apparently this game is after Chaotic Final Exam, and is MUCH calmer than said game. People from the game apparently have new personalities due to the events of the game, and Rulue...is delivering letters given via Masked Prince.
As stated prior, there's three routes in this game:
Characters that appear on all routes are Arle, Rulue, Masked Prince, and I believe Momomo.
Route A:
Rulue sets to find 5 magic items. Most notable characters here are Apparently Schezo, Serilly, Draco, Minotauros, and shockingly, Count and Vamp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Quite the shock, eh?)
This route...is certainly interesting. Between seeing Mino battered and bloodied by a fight, a literal possessed Arle by Count (or Vamp,) you FIGHTING Arle due to that, same deal goes for Schezo, he also got possessed, and a final fight with Count if he was overly buff...it's certainly one hellva route.
Tumblr media
(This is...wow. What an experience.)
Route B:
Rulue, with envelopes given via Masked Prince, has one of them stolen by something, and she goes to investigate it. Getting sucked into a "Wonderland," younalso get some backstory about Rulue, notably hearing her grandmother. I'll tell y'all, I was given help by people who work on the Puyo Nexus and other Puyo Translations:
Rulue and her grandmother were very close, and she gave Rulue a music box when she was about 5 years old, under a Sakura tree. When she turned 6, her grandmother fell ill, and Rulue, upset that she wasn't spending time with her on her birthday, breaks the music box.
However, when Rulue sleeps, she has a dream about her grandmother, with her saying to not be upset with her...and when Rulue woke up, she felt like she'd never see her grandmother again.
(Edit:
Notable characters here are Kikimora and Black Kikimora, Serilly, Rulue's grandmother, and Demon Servant. Yeah, he's alive in this game.
I forgot to credit the main person who did this part, @klug. That's completely on me, my apologies. They did help quite a good bit for this, so thank them for the research and info. Wouldn't have gotten this without them. Again, apologies for not putting credit.
Here's their Puyo Nexus page. Go check em out.)
Tumblr media
(YOU'RE ALIVE IN THIS GAME?)
So you know when I said this game was a lot more casual? I look real silly saying that now.
Route C:
Easily the most casual route, Rulue...is trying to cook. The grill calls for her name. I'm not joking when I say that the only characters here are Momomo and Witch. I guess Witch can cook?
This route is uh, odd. You spent most of the time doing quizzes and route splits because...I guess Witch and Momomo feel devious today. This route is notable for Witch asking that question in her quiz and only having 5 endings...Yep. 5 endings.
Something I've neglected is the ending to these routes.
There's about 30 of them.
Yeah. Good luck.
Tumblr media
(Autism be damned, Witch can apparently cook. Just have fun on the quiz.)
-----
So, The OST and Final Verdict?
The games ost is honestly decent. I can't describe it well but a lot of the music is just flat out solid, with no real complaints here. I'd say check it out at least.
And the final verdict?
The game itself is honestly very fun to browse and look around. The game gives us Rulue lore RANDOMLY that I'll gladly accept, Demon Servant, Count, and Vamp make an appearance, and the game, while confusing, is really fun to watch.
I'd say for Disc Station, it's very solid.
With that...that'll be all for today. Next week I won't post due to Thanksgiving and spending time with my family, but next time we meet, we'll finally continue our Waku Waku Puyo Puyo Dungeon translations after SO long.
See y'all then. Hope you enjoyed the show.

What an odd dream that was
Partly because I need to change to summer bedding over winter I think, too hot, and I fell asleep watching Taskmaster, and I always get weird dreams this time of the month tbh
Anyway
In which I was on a idk like a university trip to,, a city, idk where, except that we were walking back, somewhere, and also one of the "students" was a robot who had killed her awful 'dad'? Who was tagging along for nothing better to do? And so the police didn't find her for burning down the guy's house aaand stuff, tho tbh I don't think anyone really knew she existed so she was probably fine, but she was having fun so
Anyway we all got back eventually, figuring out what bloody train station we were at and needed to get to. And someone said, oh I don't want to go home, how about we just go straight back out and get a flight to another place? And I thought yeah, that sounds good, let's do that
He looked rather a lot, somehow, like someone I knew from school - I never fancied him at school, I was stuck a bit on one of the awful popular kids who was in a talent show band - tho if I remember rightly the non-dream version of this guy was also in that week-long talent show band on keys (the other guy was lead singer, and had pointy cheekbones and 15-yo me got all starry-eyed about how 15-yo him played guitar). It was 13 years ago, idk. Anyway, doesn't matter.
And I thought, oh this'll be cool, we'll go to Australia now?? A bunch of us? And then it turned out only him and me took it seriously? And I thought, oh I don't want to go if it's just me and him, really, so I'll send him a message, say I can't get a ticket short-notice or whathaveyou, and I'll drop my wellies with the neighbours so I have to go back for them - idfk it's a dream. So I did that, and then he was like oh no well I don't want to go if you're not! And we like. Nearly kissed?? Idk.
And so then we both went together to the neighbours to get my wellies - and the neighbours were Greg Davies and his wife and their partner (he wasn't Alex Horne, lmao, tho tbh I can't quite picture him)? And they three invited us to stay for dinner, so we did, and Greg Davies told an amusing anecdote about how they're so loud during sex (he's in the middle, if you're interested - to quote dream-him, he's "a big man and needs the attention") that the neighbour on the far side complained to them about it, and I was like oh huh well I know I'm on the opposite side but I haven't heard anything loud enough to warrant complaints, you're safe from me lmao - and then so they asked me what I'd been up to and I was like oh y'know nothing new fucking people on the internet - blank stares - sexting y'know - ah yes okay - then to the bloke you don't mind if I carry on, right? And he's like oh! No (awkwardness) you can do what you want, I don't mind
And then we went to this bar? Him and me and my bag-with-wellies-in for no reason I can fathom, and the guy on the door was giving out different stamps, people was getting different symbols, rainbows and smiley faces, and this bloke got a "they/them" stamp in big letters and was like "huh. alright.", and the guy just said to me "nah you're alright, go on" and let me in without a stamp - and we met the blokes friends, who turned out to be two lesbian couples who were each like "why are you interrupting our date night" and I'm like "I have no idea why I'm here all of this is so weird" (I think I was only now realising it was a dream)
And the bloke was like, well we can go back to yours and watch doctor who instead if you want? And I was like yeah sure let's go ""watch doctor who"" sure
And then I woke up - and now I have to get up and have a shower and do my gel not on my arms cs it's blood tests day
Oh I've remembered the real guy's name now, let's go and find out how similar he is now to dream-him lmao I wonder if he's still got long hair

2023
The year that kept on giving and giving.
While not everything was great, I can confidently say that this year was overall positive for me, and thank god, since the last few months of 2022 left me so depressed and exhausted that I was legit pessimistic about recovering from it.
And I did.
Despite some lingering feelings, I'm happy to say that I'm mostly over it. I've chosen not to dwell on it anymore, and I accepted that I can't influence the thoughts of other people I have no control over. All I can do is...improve.....and I have. I've improved a lot this year. Which....actually, that WAS my new year's resolution for 2023, wasn't it? Just to get better? In that regard....can I be proud of myself....? I know it isn't much, but...
I have a lot to thank for making this a good year for me. My interests were VERY kind to me, from Eurovision being great this year, Helluva Boss releasing a LOTTA episodes including three that I absolutely adored, getting to fight on Team Shiver in Splatoon 3 and winning, ushering in the Era Of Shiver, and finally.....CRK continuing to not only be my comfort game all year, but then not only topping itself, but BLOWING MY MIND with releasing Golden Cheese and me reacting SO STRONGLY to her that I'm STILL r-reeling from it....o/////o
Not only that, but....I'm still writing. I can be proud of that, too.
I know things will never quite be the same as they were, but....that's fine. I'm still in a pretty good place.
Three characters that made my life better in 2023 (if you're reading this, did you have any?):
Tumblr media
As for 2024....I have two goals for this year, but technically, one isn't all up to me right now, and it's more personal, so I'll save it for (hopefully) later when I'm ready to share.
And the other one is pretty simple, and that's just Finish The Damn Fic.
---You can stop reading here if you don't care about this topic---
Seriously, this thing has been an undertaking, and working on it DAILY since October has been both tiring and fun at the same time. At this point, even if no one reads it, it's gonna feel SO GOOD when it's all done. SOOOOO GOOD! >.< Like I said before: I don't think this'll be my fav fic I've written (Naivete is just so special to me), but it'll be the biggest project I've EVER put my name on. I don't wanna rush any part of it.......I wanna get it as good as I can.
Cuz....H-Her Radiance, she....d-deserves it....
Regarding the fic, for those who care, I have two bits of good news! One is that, according to the outline of the chapters I have yet to write and the number of scenes in each one.....I think- I THINK- I'm near the halfway point of the story. That, or I JUUUUUST reached it. I'm working on the longest chapter. Once I finish chapter 3, I have three more full chapters, and I think 4 and 5 are gonna be shorter chapters than 3, with 6 being definitely the shortest.
Which leads me to the other point: I'm coming up on a good stopping point for chapter 3. It isn't the ending I WANTED, but the chapter is just so big that I'm gonna have to stuff all my leftover ideas into chapter 4.
This means that, yes....in the next few days, you guys are getting the next chapters.
P-part of me is nervous about this, since....again, it isn't the ending I wanted....b-but I don't wanna wait to post until I finish the WHOLE NEW CHAPTER 4 I didn't plan for. I dunno how long that's gonna take, and....
Well, something I'm looking forward to is coming in a couple weeks, and I wanna enjoy that thing and give it my attention without stressing about the fic too much. I wanna post on AO3 sometime in January, then release the rest of the chapters as I finish them.
It's looking like 2024's gonna be starting out on a good note....I'm nervous, but excited at the same time.....>__<
I really hope that I'm ready for this.....

Gathering my thoughts after Genshin's Fontaine Archon Quests
HEY THERE ARE SPOILERS HEREEEE
Partly why I disappeared from Tumblr and Twitter, running away from spoilers 💀💀💀 ig this post is mostly for me, to organize my thoughts I havE MANY OF THEM
But one nice thing I did was finish only one quest (not chapter or questline) per day before going to bed, all lights out. It was so comfy, I'm sure this'll be part of why playing them is being so memorable for me 😭😭😭 and the prison songs are such bangers, they made everything even better!!!!
But anyways, most important things first, arlECCHINO. SHE IS SO CORDIAL??? I mean not cordiaaal friendly, but like, super polite?? And calm and collected and all?? I honestly thought she was gonna be a bit insane, or at least that there would be something giving away some type of ulterior motive but..,, I got nothing?? She seems genuinely interested in saving Fontaine and cares for the kids, even if it's probs for self-interests first and foremost, maybe. She totally is very manipulative tho. Other thing I find funny about her is how she destroys anyone with her unforgiving words, while being calm and pretending she's kinda not doing it on purpose. Love that, you go queen 🥳🥳🥳🥳
The thing is, when I saw the guy in the first quest turning into water after saying something he shouldn't, I was "ARLCECCHINO WILL BE LIKE THAT FOR SURE", manipulating everyone, and if any slip-ups happen, she can just unalive them. That Lyney and Lynette could not give anything away or she would just poof them. But I don't know anymore, if it IS like that, she fooled me completely. But I mean, she could do whatever she wanted with me, I wouldn't mind 🥴🥴🥴🥴
So, I still think there could be something more at play. Maybe the gnosis is another key? But surely the nation ENDING seems like a more pressing matter, oh yes. Even then, everyone is sus. And I mean everyone.
By the way, Neuvillete, you think what "sentence" is too severe, huh 🤨🤨🤨??? who, whom what, why??? The first thing that popped into my mind was Celestia. If not the archon, they're the ones who can do things like that. BUT it doesn't seems like Fontaine is progressing so much for them to care? Especially with the alienated citizens and a kinda not thaaaAAT useful archon y'k..,, Though their tech do look like the most advanced from all the nations, even if that alone, at least for me, doesn't scream "reason to kill you all!! heavenly principles on you!!!" HoweVER turning everyone into water and ruining the nation do remember a bit Khaenrians(?) turning into monsters and losing their nation. Food for thought!!! Wish Neuve said a bit more. However it truly wouldn't be wise to go out there screaming "hey, the gods-gods wanna wipe us all out, no pressure tho 😉", so yeah.
AND Furina. What's with that poor child 😭😭😭? From the first moment she came in the screen I was like "man this girl has no idea what she's doing, does she...". In the court, her commentaries were just 💀💀💀 One that comes into mind is she thinking that finding a clue on Lyney's bag was concrete proof of his crime. My dear, that's the easiest thing to manipulate in the whole world, planting fake evidence. Don't go there thinking you revolutionized the universe !!!!!! And almost all her remarks where kinda like that. That you would deadpan and go "seriously, you really believe that's super clever?". Now that I know (do I??? I think I do at least??) it was on purpose I'm letting her slip. But the thing about her having a curse is pretty interesting. I think her eyes are pretty sus (even if a lot of charas have weird eyes and no explanation, like hu tao, arlecchino and keqing). Does she have a weird side, hm 🤔 but again, they showed no sign of this until now, so ???
About the ending... I still don't know if I think that's a dream or not. Is defs what traveler saw while dreaming but, remember in the beginning,,,,, Childe awakening "it"..,,, hearing voices..,, hydro powers..,,, his dream in the abyss seeing a whale while falling into the sea....,, Guess he's really Mr. Worldwide huh. Maybe he's more linked to Fontaine (or at least some fontaine being?) than we thought? I think the whale ended up saving him. But hey, breathing underwater??? Getting kinda busted, my man.
Hope the quests keep escalating until something mind-blowing happens. I can feel it 😤😤😤

This is a blog of my replay of the Uncharted series. I'll give my thoughts for each game as I go through them.
Apart from Uncharted 1 which I played a few years ago. I haven't replayed the others since they first came out so this'll be interesting
Tumblr media
This entry gets a lot of hate and I can see why. The story is simple but decent and the game has good dialogue and solid Voice acting. The gameplay and controls however are a problem.
Aiming can be a pain, movement isn't as tight as you would want and climbing can be finicky. Now these weren't too much of a problem back in 2007 but they stick out like a sore thumb in 2022. Adding to those problems is the insane amount of combat encounters and you're left with a game that is very frustrating and annoying to play.
That being said. Combat was somehow still fun so it's not too bad I guess but I think I have a higher tolerance for these things.
Music was great, the game has nice sound design, the old PS3 era vibe is still there (I miss that) and the visuals are still really nice.
So even though the game annoyed me to a degree. I still enjoyed myself and I definitely wouldn't consider this a bad game. It's just old and dated.
This honestly should've gotten a remake instead of TLOU. It would've seriously benefited from it.

What can I say? Huh? What can I say?
This game is among my top 10 greatest video games of all time for a reason!
Top to bottom, from beginning to end. This game was insane all the way through. A god damn roller coaster ride!
My only complaint that this game is SO good that 13 years later, I STILL remember most of it. So the chance of re-experiencing those epic moments for the first time again just couldn't happen unfortunately.
Also had play on easy for final boss coz it was annoying but IDGAF
Regardless. This game is just as amazing as I remember and 60fps just elevates it further. Felt like it never left, man.
Story, characters, dialogue, voice acting, gameplay, level design, visuals, combat and set pieces.
I don't care if it has flaws. I love it all!

So I was never a big fan of this entry but this time is a bit different.
I enjoyed this a lot more than I did back on PS3. The first half didn't leave a great impression but it got better once you reach Yemmen and then it was fantastic from the Shipyard onwards. I absolutely loved the 2nd half and it pretty much saved the game for me.
That being said. I do have some problems with it. Particularly in the first half though some of those do show up in the 2nd half. It just isn't as noticeable.
-The way the levels are laid out
-Enemy placement
-How the guns feel
-Stealth feels very restrictive
-Hate the crosshair
-The A.I.
-The vibe
-Unfair Difficulty
It all just felt off and I wasn't feeling a lot of it.
Even things like Drakes animations which aren't always accurate to the present situation.
For example. Drakes running animation during combat or chase sequences are too relaxed and slow looking or during stealth he isn't exactly moving as stealthy. He's almost walking casually. Its like he does some of his actions half assed.
The other big problem was the difficulty. Look I'm all for a game wanting to challenge me and even make me feel overwhelmed as that can heighten the tension and make things more exciting which UC3 does but man do they go overboard with it.
Uncharted 1 & 2 had a system. The enemies were in front of you, others would creep on the side trying to flank you and then a new wave would come from behind. You were always behind cover and were able to defend yourself while they tried different tactics to lure you out. It was simple and effective.
Uncharted 3 said fuck all that. Lets have everyone come at you from all sides, then ramp up the difficulty to artificial levels by throwing 3 snipers, 3-4 armoured shotgunners, 2 unarmoured shotgunners, an rpg guy, a missle projectile guy, 3 fucking tanks and barely any cover. Call it a skill issue, I don't care. That shit is straight up unfair. A lot of times I felt like I got through that shit from just pure luck.
If they had just cut it down a LITTLE bit and gave me a bit of breathing room then I wouldn't be complaining as much.
With all that in mind though. I kinda liked it. Managing to take out huge waves of powerful enemies while being put in such an unfair situation is quite satisfying. It really makes you feel like a badass.
It works for the plot too. Drake being way in over his head is shown through gameplay and adds to the narrative so thats pretty cool.
Now onto the positives.
-Visuals are beautiful
-Set pieces are awesome
-Hand to hand combat is great
-Dialogue is still great
-Funniest entry so far
-Charlie is a great edition though you don't see him after the first quarter and he only appears in this entry so thats a bummer
-Music is good
-Puzzles were really good
Another thing I loved was all the subtle details to make the world feel more alive.
Drake put his hand on the wall while walking, parts of the environment would react to Drake's touch and that shit would vary in many ways. Granted they only happen once but it's still cool.
That 2nd half was just amazing and it really made me think more positively about this entry. I think when I first played it back on PS3, I was just so gutted by the negatives that I couldn't see the positives.
Is it UC2 level? No but its kinda close.
Good game!

I gotta admit. I really enjoyed this one. I wasn't a big fan of this entry back when it first came out. Had a lot of problems with it like the vibe, aspects of the story, no Chloe or Charlie and even things like gunplay and difficulty. Now Im not so sure why I wasn't feeling it.
The game is great. Controls are fantastic, and responsive, guns feel really good, level design is brilliant and parkour (as basic as it is) is really fun. Oh and the stealth is great. I'm so happy they fixed it. Uncharted 3 was so restrictive. Its like they looked at Uncharted 2 and thought "lets do this but better". Now you can actually stealth through many sections and not be forced into a gunfight. The areas are so well designed too so you have a ton of options to take em out.
Love it!
Now for the story. I really like the darker and more mature vibe they went with. Drake's decisions have actual consequences so its not your typical action hero story this time around and thats good. I personally wouldn't mind it if it was but its good that its different.
They put a bigger focus on the characters too and provided them with more depth than in past entries. Made them feel more down to earth rather than movie action heroes and I like that. It's good stuff.
I really like Sam too and I think he's a great edition to the cast. Rafe is also a really good villain and the best written out of the bunch. I still prefer Lazarevic from Uncharted 2 by miles.
Now as for problems? I don't have much tbh. I wish Chloe was in this but I can't see how they could've included her in so I get it.
I miss the supernatural aspect but I guess that would've worked against the more grounded take they went for here so it's fine I guess
I also hate that I couldn't get at least one hit on Nadine. I just wanted one good satisfying punch but nope. She walks away unscathed. I mean dude. You can't just have her kick me about like that and not give me the opportunity to enact some revenge. I want some payback god damnit!
Small spoiler but I wasn't really liking the whole destiny thing they were going for during one of the flashbacks. The whole "it runs in the family" thing kinda bothers me
It's not a big deal of course and it does make sense why Drake and Sam are so into history but still.
Anyway. That's about it with the negatives. There really isn't anything to complain about. Naughty Dog provided a solid and nicely paced ride that delivers on (almost) all fronts.
It's a fun action packed adventure with good puzzles, fantastic set pieces, gorgeous visuals and a really good story accompanied by some of the best performances in the gaming industry. Its the perfect send off for Nathan Drake and I had an absolute blast replaying it.

I’ve been following this comic called @ihopesocomic for a few months now, and I just want to say that I absolutely adore it! The creators have put in a lot of work to give its viewers the representation that we struggle to see elsewhere, and it’s clear in all of their characters, and especially their main character, Hopeful!
Please go give it a read sometime!! It’s very worth it! <3

Pining/crushing headcanons for billy & stu (or even poly!ghostbois) thank u so much! 💚
Yes! God, I have a lot of thoughts about how these two pine and crush. This got fairly long for both because I kinda just went ham with this lmao. Enjoy!
TW: Very Mild NSFW. Mentions of Disturbing Mental Behaviours. Blood Mention. Homicide mentions.
Billy and Stu Crushing/Pining Headcanons:
Billy Loomis:
Billy pining/crushing is a slow process
And this partly because I hc him as demisexual and demiromantic.
Billy has a hard time forming meaningful connections. It just doesn't come as easily for him as the average person. And that extends to his romantic life.
When Billy meets someone, there isn't an immediate attraction like there is for many non-demi people. A lot of the sex he had in the past was for physical stimulation, ego, or control, rather than a genuine attraction to that person.
He gains feelings, both romantic and sexual in nature, the more he gets to know a person that he vibes with.
So more than likely, this is a person he has either eavsdropped on and liked what he heard, a bold person who approached him first, or, the most likely scenario: a friend of Stu's that he gets introduced to.
It usually takes a few months. But once Billy catches feelings, it's over.
That person becomes all he can think about. It becomes pretty obsessive in the early stages. Like, if he sees someone else touching his crush, he will absolutely seethe and get angry not only at the offender but his crush too. Not very healthy of you Billy boy :(
He'll find himself intensely staring at the person, in that intense way of his, and he starts noticing little habits and details about them.
He gets this intense desire to know everything about them. Partly for his feelings, and partly because it makes him feel more in control of his feelings. After all, if he knows them in and out, they can't surprise him and hurt him.
Billy decides relatively quickly once he catches feelings if they're just a crush/feelings or if it's love. But boy will he deny the love one for as long as possible.
Billy isn't shy, and he's confident in himself. He doesn't feel embarrassed easily (unless it's regarding weakness/crying), so once he decides he likes a person, he will very boldly insert himself in that person's life.
Approach them after class, on campus, at the video store, at the mall etc etc.
He's much more comfortable approaching girls, due to society's standards and the time period. But make no mistake that Billy is just as into guys, and will eventually stop holding back.
He plays it cool and aloof as per usual. His personal bad-boy mask stays on for as long as he feels is necessary.
Most of his crushes have never seen that darker part of him. That's reserved for someone he genuinely loves.
And the way he knows he genuinely loves them? When he slips up. Billy is in control, but he's not infallible, and he makes human mistakes like saying something weird occasionally.
And if his crush reacts well? Billy wouldn't show it externally outside of a pleased smile or smirk, but internally he's on Cloud 9.
Definitely jacks it to the thought of his crush lol.
He's not touchy with his crush, BUT he will make physical contact with them in private.
I'm talking like, if you guys are laying on his bed talking, he'd brush his hand or leg against yours briefly. Or if you're in his kitchen making popcorn, he'll put his hands on your shoulders or waist to move you to the side when he goes to open the fridge.
His loves consumes his thoughts. Like a lot. It's very frustrating to Billy.
But his crushes less so, bc honestly Billy has trouble taking his own crushes very seriously.
Okay, so this is just a super personal and maybe ooc hc, but I like to imagine that Billy imagines his love interest (not crush, I'm talking love love) with him in the room when he feels really bad or sad. Like, he imagines their presence and it grounds him. This'll sound sad, but kinda like an imaginary friend.
The dangerous thing about this is that, if he does hang with that person regularly, he sometimes has trouble differentiating when that person really was there and when he was just pretending they were. So he might mention something to them that they have no idea about bc they weren't there and that really fucks with him.
Stu Macher:
Hah, oh boy. If Stu has a crush he is not at all shy about letting it be known.
Unlike Billy, Stu's confidence isn't a mask. He genuinely has no issues approaching someone he's interested in.
Also unlike Billy, attraction for Stu happens at first sight. Does he like what he sees? Yes? Then he'll go for it if he's single.
Very touchy feely. Like, has no qualms about putting his hands on his crush in public. Hands on the waist, slinging an arm over their shoulders, picking them up, pulling them on his lap. Girl, boy, it doesn't matter. Stu is so confident in himself people can't help but not judge him. And if they do, Stu just doesn't care bc he knows people will still like him cause he's rich and throws banger parties. Sad, but true.
His crush might think he's just touchy like that with everyone, but honestly, Stu doesn't go around grabbing his friends that much and in many of the ways he grabs his crush lol. That's why it's so easy to tell when he's down bad.
When he crushes on someone, he lights up when he sees them. I'm talking internally. Stu actually has very little regard for most people, and much of his excitement around them is performance art. But around his crush? That shit gets to him inside.
Stu in love and Stu crushing is honestly not that different in behavior. He's very open with his crushes/loves (well about most things, not the murder things), and stays a pretty excitable and confident party guy.
The difference is in how okay he is being not excitable. Being more calm, or cold, or just sharing his more....disturbed thoughts in general.
Don't get me wrong, Stu is genuinely just a happy-go-lucky guy. It's not like fake or anything. It's just...if he loves you and he knows you're okay with him in all ways, then yeah he lets himself be sad or mad around you.
God, in the "honeymoon" phase of his crush, you could do literally no wrong. Everything his crush does has him over the moon.
He doesn't have his crush consume his every waking thought like Billy does with someone he loves, but he does think about them a lot and has no qualms calling them up.
Jacks off to the thought of them too. And I'm talking like, a lot. Almost every night.
Stu does have a problem with imagining his crush too perfectly? Like, he'll imagine them one way, and then they'll be another. And it gets him angry sometimes and he doesn't know why? Like he gets over it relatively quickly, but this happens.
Stu loves gore. A lot. And he can't help but wonder what his crush would look like dead, or at least very bloody. If he loves them, he doesn't actually want them dead...but if it's just a crush? Does he still want to rip them apart? Hm. Jury's still out on that one.
He will make his crush laugh at every opportunity. Like, he will legit take notes of what types of jokes hit with them and bust them out as much as possible around them.
If he sees someone else touching his crush, he gets beyond annoyed. Like, he will absolutely rip that person a new one via bullying. And if it happens at one of his parties? He will publicly humiliate them.
Has no qualms about it and never feels bad about it. Empathy is not this man's strong suit.
God he's the kind of guy who will offer his sweater or jackets to his crush to wear them at school. Like if he goes to his crushes house he will purposefully leave his clothes there and just tell them to return it to him later or use it once it starts getting cold ;)
The amount of money this man has spent replacing sweaters and jackets he gave to crushes is embarrassing lmao.
Stu honestly tries to get physical with his crushes early on. Bc he has feelings, it's usually not a pump and dump scenario like his flings, but he will want to fool around and do fwb stuff pretty early into the friendship.
Stu will try and buy his crush. Like, not kidding. He actually gets a bit offended if they don't want him to. Toxic rich boy is toxic.
But if it's not just a crush, but love? Holy shit is this man loyal. When Stu falls then, much like Billy, he falls hard. it's intense man. He becomes extremely loyal to that person, would do literally anything for them, no matter how fucked up it is.
