hi my lovelies! it's my birthday in a month and I wanted to host a lil event! it’s been a minute since I had a sleepover, and especially since my last one had to be cancelled due to personal reasons, I really wanted to have a do-over. I’m also nearly at 7k followers which is absolutely mind-blowing to me so it’ll be a lil celebration of that as well, maybe I can even actually make it to 7k in time for my actual birthday but we’ll see!!

this sleepover will consist of two parts; 'writing requests' and ‘send me things’, please see below for more info on each part <3

general info;

the actual sleepover will take place from Mon 25th July to Sun 31st July, with my birthday being on Weds 27th

due to the contents of this sleepover you must be 18+ to interact / join in; if you’re under 18 you shouldn't be anywhere near my page to begin with

if you would like to request some writing from me please start sending them in as soon as possible so I have the time to get them done before the actual sleepover week

all writings, asks, and posts related to the sleepover will be tagged under #hope hooray

I will only be writing short drabbles and headcanons, nothing too long

I will only be writing for characters that I have never written for before / have not written a lot for

because of this rule Druig, Matthew Murdock, Bucky Barnes, and Eddie Munson will not be available for requests bc I have already written for each of them quite a few times

if there’s someone not on my list that you’d like to request for please feel free to ask and if I do know of them I might be able to do something for you, but I can’t promise

I will be writing a limited number of requests (somewhere between 10-15 depending on how I get on and how many requests I actually receive)

the requests I choose to write will be picked depending on what I like the most / what gives me inspiration, it will not be a first-come first-served basis

I will also choose my selection of requests to encompass as many different characters as possible, so I really do encourage people to pick a variety of characters from my list!

All day the only thing on my mind was what Druig had planned for me tonight. I was currently sitting with some of the women of the village just talking.

“Shouldn’t you be heading out for you special night with Druig?” One of my friends asked me, smirking as she teased me about what she thought would be happening tonight.

“You’re right, the sun is setting. And we’re just going to look at the stars, nothing more.” I rolled my eyes, laughing at her antics.

“Why don’t you send Mia for him?” One of the ladies suggested.

Mia was her 3 year old daughter, and just like all the children of the village, Druig had a soft spot for them. Which wasn’t surprising since he’d been here for nearly 500 years and had seen so many children be born and grow up to have children of their own.

“You don’t mind?” I asked.

“No, not at all!” She reassured.

“Okay, Mia, wanna do me a big big favor?” I asked the small child.

She nodded enthusiastically.

“Can you go find Druig and tell him Yn needs to talk to him?”

“Yeah!” She said, getting up from where she was playing on the floor and ran out in search of Druig.

While we waited we continued to talk. I heard someone approaching and turned to see Druig as he walked closer, carrying Mia on his hip. I couldn’t keep the smile from my face. He was talking to her and was being so animated it was one of the cutest things I had ever seen.

Once he was in front of us he set the girl down and kneeled in front of her.

“Okay Mia, this is going to be our little secret right?” He asked, playfully narrowing his eyes at her.

She glanced up at me before turning back to him and nodding. She then took her hand and pretended to zip her lips closed and he mimicked the action before standing up.

“So I heard you wanted to speak with me?” He asked me.

“Yes, the sun is setting, so I was wondering when we’d head out.” I said.

“Someone’s eager.” He teased.

“But we can leave now,” he turned his attention to the laddies, “If you are all okay with me stealing her away.”

“Oh by all means, take her!” Mia’s mother said, “Go have fun, maybe even make one of these for yourself,” she nodded down to Mia, “That way you’d quit stealing ours!” She joked knowing that he adored the children here.

Druig just smiled and shook his head at her comment before offering me his hand to help me up and lead me away from the hut.

It didn’t take long to get to the clearing, but I was surprised to see a blanket laid out with a small basket sitting with it and there was soft glow from an array of fake candles.

“The stars won’t be out until a bit later, I figured we could eat a little something first, then I can show you more.” He said.

“Druig…” I was nearly speechless, “this is beautiful! When did you have the time for this today?”

“I’m glad you like it.” He said, leading me to the blanket where we sat down.

It got darker as we ate. Conversation stayed light and came easily as it always did with us. Once we were finished eating we laid down the same way we had the night before and began looking at the stars once again.

“Okay, we’re gonna start with a big one.” Druig said.

“Alrighty.”

“It’s actually three separate constellations now. Apparently your little human brains,” he turned and playfully nudged the side of my head, “Couldn’t handle the original. It's over here.” He pointed up to an area in the sky.

“It’s supposed to be a ship, and it used to really look like one, but now that it’s broken up into smaller ones it just looks like lines.”

He pointed out the three separate parts to me and I couldn’t see how they made a ship.

“How did that ever even resemble a ship?” I asked.

I felt the familiar buzz in my head.

“Like this.”

Slowly, like all the pieces of a puzzle flowing together I saw it.

“Wow. How do people come up with these?” I asked in awe.

The buzzing went away and I looked over to Druig only to find him already looking at me.

“I guess some of us are just that good at finding the beautiful things of the world.” He said with a cheesy smile.

“That was cheesy.” I said laughing.

He nodded, “I know, but you love it.”

“I do.” I laughed before leaning forward to kiss him. I felt him smile into the kiss.

“Show me another?” I asked, slowly pulling back.

“Of course, over there,” he pointed to a different section, “Those two stars right there would be your modern Canis Minor constellation. My least favorite, probably.” He said.

“It’s just a line?” I said, confused.

“Exactly, it used to look like this.”

The buzzing returned and I could see the simple line turn into a shape the more resembled a dog as stars were there to represent a head and legs and even a short tail.

The buzzing slowly faded.

“That’s actually really sad. It used to look like a full constellation but now it’s just a line.” I said with a small frown.

“Yeah, when I noticed the stars fading, I was sad. The stars were already quite dim so I knew it was only a matter of time but it was upsetting still. That such beautiful things must fade away.” He said.

I knew he wasn’t just talking about the stars. He was talking about us. I was a mortal, he was an Eternal, he’d be here long after I wasn’t.

“Hey,” I said gently, “I’m not going anywhere, anytime soon.” I said gently.

He nodded slightly.

“Okay next one,” he said quickly looking back to the sky to avoid thinking about it, “it’s not technically a constellation, it’s just a single star. But you can see how much it has dimmed.” He said.

“Where at?”

“Right about there.” He pointed to a very specific Star in the night sky.

“It does look quite dim.” I commented.

“Yeah.”

“How bright did it used to be?”

“Hard to explain.” He said.

“Then show me.” I said gently.

“Give me a second…” he said, clearly deep in thought.

I waited for the buzzing feeling but it never came.

“It used to shine like a diamond.” He said.

“Really?” I asked. I was confused as to why he wasn’t showing me like he had before but I was also interested in what he was saying.

“Yeah… in fact it used to shine like this diamond.”

I heard him shift beside me and looked over to see him holding open a small box with a diamond ring in it.

Immediately I sat up and turned to face him on my knees. He mimicked my reaction at much more reasonable speed than I had.

“Druig, what is that?” As my heart raced in my chest.

“Yn,” he began, smiling, “I have been on earth for 7000 years and I’ve only met a single person that makes me feel the way I do with you. I am truly, madly, deeply, hopelessly in love with you. I know your time here is limited, and it’s selfyod me to ask, but it would mean absolutely everything to me if you agreed to spend your time with me… Yn will you marry me?”

I could tell he was nervous, the way he held his breath and the way the box shook slightly in his hand.

I felt tears prick at my eyes as I nodded once, twice, three times, repeatedly as I whispered a single “Yes” and held my left hand out to him.

He took my hand in his gently and slipped the ring onto my finger before lifting my hand to his lips and pressing a kiss to it. Then he used that same hand to gently pull me to him as he hugged me where we still sat up on our knees. He kissed the top of my head, then anywhere he could before his lips found mine. Once he broke the kiss, he rested his brow against mine and looked deep into my eyes.

“I love you so much, Yn.” He said quietly as he smiled like a lovestruck schoolboy.

“I love you too Druig.” I said, smiling back at him.

He held my hand in his as he stood up then pulled me up to him gently.

“Let’s go back to our hut, hm?” He suggested, whispering lowly in my ear.

“Shouldn’t we clean this up?” I asked, glancing around.

“I’ll take care of it in the morning.” He said, stepping away and pulling me with him.

“There’s much more interesting things I’d rather go with my fiancé.” He said, smirking.

My cheeks heated up both at the title and the idea of what he was suggesting.
