What do you think is the worst thing Serena did/said to Bernie?
That’s a tough Ask, Anon.
For me, I think it was Serena succumbing to the blandishments of that F1 (She Who Shall Not Be Named). I understand, within the show’s logic, why she did it as Serena has a habit of making bad decisions in her personal relationships: sticking with Edward for far too long after discovering his infidelity AND almost getting back together with him post-divorce; having a one-night stand with Robbie while Bernie was in Kyiv AND almost letting him pressure her into getting back together with him despite (a) his poor treatment of Jason previously and (b) his unreliability. Added to that, of course, is Bernie’s radio silence (which is shit writing, if you ask me, given Bernie knew how much her radio silence during her stay in Kyiv had upset Serena - Bernie’s not too old to have learned better than to make that mistake twice), and how shameless and predatory that F1 was - it’s really not surprising that Serena did succumb, but it upsets me that she did.
Mind you, the way the writers wrote the whole Berena relationship makes me mad, most especially killing off Bernie off-screen. That was wholly uncalled for. So what if Jemma wasn’t coming back? They could’ve still had Bernie alive and working overseas.

@vitterfolk
When Flavius looked at the green salon, or any other room of the palace, he saw something other than simply the teal-lined ivory furniture, something more than the floors of jetstone quarried in Kirkwall when it was still Emerius, more than the carved decorations on colums; more than what any guest could see.
Flavius saw the polishing of every tile; they should shine enough to be used as a mirror. He saw the dust on the details, or lack thereof. He saw the names and faces of every slave and servant who was tasked with sweeping, cleaning, dusting off every corner of the room, every ornament, curtain, and sofa. He saw their schedules, when their job was supposed to begin and when it was supposed to be concluded.
In front of the floor-length windows in-between the pillars of the colonnade, now closed to keep the heat of Minrathous outside of the palace, on the other side of the room, was a corner dedicated to musical instruments, displaying a harp (of Orlesian manufacture), a lyre, a harpsichord, and an aulos. A minute elven woman with curly hair stood up from the stool where she was sitting the moment the two of them entered the room.
Flavius turned towards the new potential musician and, raising a hand, he hinted at the musical instruments. « This is where you will be performing if you are hired. And this is Irene, the palace’s harp player and our main singer. » The woman nodded and hinted half a bow, glancing up with scrutinising eyes. « Irene, this is Gatt, Serena’s substitute. »
Quick and exacting with the hand movements that accompanied his conversation and reducing all pleasantries and whatever blandishing to a minimum, if not to nothing, Flavius gave Gatt almost his full attention. « You have your references and you’ve been selected among other candidates, but Irene will judge if you are fit. You may perform as you prefer, choose your instrument or sing. If all goes well, you will start rehearsing the repertoire this evening. There is a symposium in three days. » Then, he stepped to the side. « You may begin when you’re ready. »
